My Country Tis of Thee

Sweet Land of Liberty
Of Thee I Sing....

Hey,

So, Our Fore-Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence on this day, or began to sign it, or actually didn't finish signing it until sometime in August which is probably why Astrologers quibble over the God Damned Rising Sign all the time. They just aren't looking at the whole picture. They really ought to be fighting over the actual Date, or set of Dates, kind of like how the English know that the Magna Carta is a series of Documents signed over a series of Dates. No matter how much you want it to be a one day thing there's always planning and paperwork involved. Rome wasn't built in a Day either.

But, I thought I'd take a look at the charts of Our Fore-Fathers because it's really wonderful to remember back to the day when the White Boys Club actually did something constructive. I got all caught up in John Hancock's chart. Remember he's the First Guy to sign the Declaration and he made his signature extra big so the King of England could read it without his glasses. His chart is really fun to read with that in mind. After a short peek at that, I'll just try to quietly list some other names and dates. It's a good exercise to look at these especially with regards to the Generational Outer Planets but my dates and times are from Astrotheme and my typing being what it is there's almost no chance in Hell that what I put here is accurate. (Now that I've looked at it I guess I may even have an inaccurate birth date for John Hancock, don't understand what was going on with the Calendars back then, a research project for someday soon).

JOHN HANCOCK
B. JAN. 23, 1737 7:30 AM BRAINTREE, MA

Sun 4 Aquarius; AS 4 Aqu; Moon 4 Scorpio; MC 28 Sco; NN 21 Virgo

Good Old John Hancock. He's got Sun exactly conjunct his Ascendant so of course he signed First, Mercury (Signature) and Jupiter (Big) are also in the 1st House so he liked to make a splash. They're in Aquarius, so Rebellion and Humanitarian Efforts and Innovativion and Experimentation were his Deal. Obviously he had a delightful sense of humor. Aquarians are known to rebel, their sign opposes Leo, which is the Sign of the Royalty. His 1st House Jupiter is further emphasized in a Grand Trine with Neptune in Gemini and Pluto 1 Scorpio and Moon 4 Scorpio. Sense of Humor, Wit and Sarcasm all rolled up into a BIG LOVELY GRAND TRINE. HOW CAN I EVER REPAY YOU, JOHN?

Here are his outer planet placements as well. Good for future reference maybe. I don't know.

Jup 24 Aqu; Saturn 5 Gemini Rx; Uranus 30 Sagg; Neptune 27 Gemini Rx; Pluto 1 Scorpio
