Mars and Teenagers in Trouble, Trayvon Martin and Sierra Lamar

Hindsight is so telling. With Mars squaring the last Total Lunar Eclipse on Dec. 10, 2011, that's Mars squaring the Sun and Moon and Nodes, most of the major factors of the sky for events, I suppose that now we can know that children will be susceptible to violence more than usual.

There will be another square between these planets, sort of a Grand Square with Chiron, in the June Lunar Eclipse which will also include the big Venus Rx cycle.

So right now, Eclipse wise, we're wenched between 2 Eclipses which represent emotional volatility. Also, Mars is spending a lot of time in Virgo not really moving anywhere, so he's not really flowing very much. And since he's the guy who acts first and thinks second, he's burbling away like a pit bill on a leash. And Mercury has been in Retrograde so nobody can think straight, but apparently can still shoot straight which is an extremely scary thought. And Venus will move Retrograde soon after Mars goes direct at the end of this month. So, get out your suspension rope, don't offend the gang stalkers because they're not very nice, and they make sense to all those mean brats born with the Pluto in Scorpio and Neptune-Uranus in Capricorn who were raised by parents who called themselves helicopters because they didn't really want kids, they wanted money, and the kids just happened to be part of the Plan to get the money and the success. It's a Material World, don't ya know.

Basically, there's a lot of frustrated inner planet energy. A cess pool if you will. Third World Country thinking (except for Nancy Grace and Mark Klaas, in this case)

Kids are mostly about inner planet energy.

Who? What's a kid? I live in California. We just have transplants who act like kids.

Teenagers are just past their first Saturn oppositions and most are launching out into a 4 or 5 year period in which they are not developing through any major planetary cycle phases or parts of phases.

The two big stories in the news have been of Trayvon Martin, a 15 year old Black teenager who was shot for suspected trespassing by a citizen security guard named George Zimmerman. This occured in Florida in a town called Sanford. Zimmerman has a typically Jewish name and he says he's Hispanic, so right there he's a civil rights catastrophe waiting to happen.

Sierra Lamar is a 14 year old White girl (I think) from Morgan Hill, CA who went missing in MidMarch, having never boarded the bus to go to her school. Her cell phone and her bag with some clothes have been located a couple of miles from her home but nothing else is known about her whereabouts.

Trayvon Martin was born at the beginning of 1995 and Sierra Lamar was born near the end of 1996. They share the Uranus-Neptune conjunction from those year in their natal charts. Trayvon's is in Capricorn at 24-28 Capricorn. Sierra's is Neptune 26 Capricorn-Uranus 1 Aquarius.

Capricorn is the sign associated with parents, usually the Father. On a societal level these events are bringing up a lot of topics for society and the media to discuss. Outer planet transits are said to project out into the bigger picture in this way because slow moving as they are many people within a generation share them. Trayvon Martin's murder has become a huge talk about racism and civil rights. Both kids were from Divorced families so now there is talk about how kids from Divorce get into trouble. I read an article yesterday about all the kids in the news right now who are from Divorce, the theme was lack of Fathering more than lack of Mothering. Sorry don't have a link. Should try to find it.

I've been studying kids from divorce and have found that, at least in the cases which go public in the national media, most of the women who get murdered by boyfriends and husbands seem to come from divorce. I'm not going into the reasons why this is so, mostly because kids from divorce wander around a lot and don't shelter themselves from the strangeness of others very well, either that or they are manipulative spoiled brats as anyone from an intact family will readily tell you. One can see the strange allegiences which occur within step families when Sierra Lamar's mother is interviewed. She can't seem to discuss her husband and boyfriend, even at the expense of not being able to find her daughter.

The Divorced kid thing is a long story. Since these two are/were teenagers we can focus the conversation on how to avoid that topic.

I said that I'm not going to discuss crime stories as they are occurring so already I've screwed that topic up. What I'm going to try to focus on is Mars in the natal charts of the victims and in the event charts of their victimhood. I've looked at a chart for Sierra's last cell phone call. It says something important but I can't say what.

The reason why I'm looking at Mars is because both Sierra and Trayvon had natal Mars within a degree of each other at 25-26 Leo. Mars also rules impulse and violence and bullets and knives. And it's just odd that they shared a Mars Return.

Mars is prominently placed in both of their charts as it is Lead Planet of their chart shapes. Sierra has Mars 25 Leo lead planet of a Locomotive Chart. Trayvon had Mars 26 Leo lead planet of a Bucket Chart.

Mars rules Men, mostly young impulsive boys and represents the male side of a person within a relationship, and also describes the impulsive side of a person. So these kids may have had a bit of a good soldier style of action, valuing honor and courage. Being a Fire Sign Leo can perhaps get itself into difficult situations, especially if offended. Leo is the sign of Pride, Romantic, wears Heart on Sleeve. Leo rules creativity and kids, so kids being raised by parents who aren't doing their job properly might dramatize through behaviors but most of all they just want to be good kids and to be rewarded for it.

Mars is prominent in the skies right now because he is moving Retrograde in Virgo and has been opposing Neptune. Virgo is the sign which comes after Leo, it's the sign of discernment and attempt to seek clarity through analysis of all the Leo drama. So, these kids' Mars is in the shadow of this current rx transit. Perhaps something they did back on the day when they had their exact Mars returns somehow led to what happened to them on the days of their victimization.

The Virgo-Pisces pole will often bring up issues regarding Civil Rights, most notable the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s which came about during a huge configuration in Virgo-Pisces. There is a weird chance that Sierra Lamar ran off to join the revolution, from looking at the chart, and this revolution could be related to immigrants' right just because Morgan Hill is an agricultural town.

Mars Opposing Neptune brings fogginess and lack of clarity, though, which seems to be part of both of these cases. There can be dishonesty and cover ups or just difficulty in discerning reality. Both cases are bringing about searches on mass scale, in civil rights in Trayvon's case along with Mass Media screw ups, and in the actual physical search in Sierra's case. Football players are tromping out in the fields in Morgan hill right now along with many other people looking for traces of what happened.

It's interesting that the Mars-Neptune opposition had just passed over the ASC-DESC pole of both event charts, but on opposite sides.

Pisces was Rising at 7:11 when Sierra sent her last text message to her friend so Mars was in the 6th House and Neptune was in the 12th House. (Since this is at the end of Pisces, Aries may have been actually rising when she was went missing).

Virgo was rising when Trayvon was shot so Mars would have been in the 12th House and Neptune in the 6th House. This is interesting just for the reason that everyone knows what happened to Trayvon and Mars represents guns and violence. He was also misidentified which would be a Neptunian problem. Neptunians can't really do eyewitness situations, but they can instantly identify the murderer (or more likely, crack dealer) in the room if they've never met the person before.

In Sierra's case nobody knows what happened to Sierra which is very Neptunian and unclear. If she disappeared soon after making her last text, Neptune is ruling the chart and is in its own sign and in its own house. The Sun is unaspected and in conjunction with the Ascendant at that point which shows a burst of ego that has nowhere to go.

There is a tight conjunction of Mercury-Uranus. which could indicate a runaway situation, just depends on the time of the disappearance. The chart is also unclear because there is a conjunction of Moon-Pluto in Capricorn up in the 10th House which squares the Mercury-Uranus conjunction. Pluto is connected with abduction and pretty much all types of shady crime and taboos. This is a very intense square aspect which is right on the angles. Plus, another quasi planet influence, Ceres, which is also connected with abduction is also in the 1st house. That's interesting because Ceres and Pluto are connected together through the myth of daughter/abductee, Persephone, in Greek myth. This myth is also about agriculture and Morgan Hill is a farming community. And there was recently another shooting of teenagers back in November which was related to gang activity. Maybe gang activity in Ceres?. Sierra's natal Jupiter is at 12 Capricorn and is unaspected except through a square to her Nodal Axis, so she may have run off to join the revolution (Uranus in Aries) and has long since flown out of the area.

I can't find any reason to connect Mars at 25-26 Leo with the events in either of these cases. It's out of bounds to be considered a Mars return for these kids. Mars will return back to 4 Virgo next week and then will move forward. This is an exact Mars Return for Trayvon Martin's killer, George Zimmerman, who has natal Mars at 4 Virgo. Mars will station right on his natal Mars next week.

Trayvon Martin was born with both Mercury and Mars Retrograde. So this mirrors the current Mercury-Mars Retrogrades that are in the sky right now. Mercury was not Rx when he was shot.

Sort of weird how there are no out of bounds planets in the natal or event charts. I always expect something to look really wiggy in the case of crime.

Braun is doing an Al Jolson in black face imitation. It looks like she was a lot of fun. It also looks like maybe she was a bit bipolar. Apparently, Braun met Hitler when she was 17 in October, 1929. The U.S. Stock Market crashed that month and Eva met Adolph. No further comment needed on that one except to note that transiting Pluto was just hitting Eva's natal 7th House Neptune which squared Nodal Axis. Sort of a tidal wave hitting your marriage partner house. Along came Hitler.

Hitler had a natal conjunction of Neptune-Pluto in his 8th House. I don't know what kind of sexual kinko comes along with that combination, but the two lower octave planets of that conjunction, Venus and Mars are in conjunction as well in his 7th House. He kept Eva sort of cooped up. The German public didn't even know she existed. What a lover boy. Waits until after he's forced to commit suicide because he's killed 6 million Jews and 3 million Catholics in order to pop the question to his lover of 16 years. 40 hours of Wedded Bliss. Wonder if she threw a shower.

He was 23 years her senior and was also messing around with his sister's half daughter who ended up killing herself. Braun then attempted to kill herself a couple of times. Once at Age 20 on Nov. 1, 1932 when she shot herself in the chest. Then she o'd'ed on pills on May 28, 1935. And, as I said, Eva, Age 33, and Hitler, Age 56, died in a mutual suicide 40 hours after they married. She was at that age when the Sun in your Solar Return chart is supposed to complete a cycle and he was just past his secondary Progressed Lunar Return. That is, we hope they died. They may still be alive and well or at least gently embalmed by now in Argentina.

The connections between these two charts is really incredible. Eva's 1st House just plain old did her in in the relationship department. According to Astrotheme she had Venus 9 Capricorn in conjunction with her 5 Capricorn Ascendant. This hooks up with Hitler's Moon-Jupiter conjunction.

Eva's progressed Venus, planet of partners and marriages tells the tale pretty well through the Secondary Progressions. Her first house had Lilith 17 Capricorn, Mercury 29 Capricorn, Uranus 1 Aquarius, Sun 17 Aquarius. She met Hitler when her progressed Venus hit that super strong Uranus in its own sign in her first house. They married and committed suicide when Venus was one degree away from leaving her first house. Her entire life was enveloped in experiencing that 1st House Venus.

Of course, there's way more. But this is creeping me out.

I never thought I'd be able to say that and mean it but for the next 5 months I really do mean it. This is as far below the belt as one can lay a punch: A journalist-writer-guy, Joe McGinniss, has moved into the house next door to Palin's intending to write an unauthorized biography about her called Sarah Palin's Year of Living Dangerously. Don't know if Joe can see Russia, but, have seen the photos and Joe (not the plumber) literally has a view straight down into her backyard.

Isn't Summer mostly daylight up in Alaska? I mean, for 22 hours of the day that guy is going to have every type of spy-cam trained on to every inch of that house along with amplified microphones that will pick up every pin drop.

Sarah's a double Aquarius but her Sun and Moon are in her 4th House of Home. She's got Capricorn on the IC. I guess that means that homelife just tends to get straight under her skin. Either way, if you want to attack her then the thing that will upset her the most is going after her family and homelife. Maybe her Aquarius will take over and she'll just make friends with the guy and ask him to move in.

Can you imagine having a creepy Capricorn Moon move in next door knowing that he's watching your every move? Didn't Alfred Hitchcock already make this movie? Maybe McGinniss sort of thinks of himself as a dead Jimmy Stewart.

Seriously, on the surface Joe is just a silly Sun-Mercury-Venus conjunction in Sagittarius. A fun guy. That's a perfect combination for having strong opinions about all things of surface value. Joe was given this opportunity by his publisher, probably dreamt it up while he was drunk, and now he's going to run with it. Maybe he can even pull it off. Maybe a bear will eat him.

So, with all that Sadge, Joe's got all kinds of opinions about stuff that doesn't matter and he writes about them. Honest to God, he doesn't have a clue how he could stoop so low, because at one time, long long ago, like all the rest of us who went to College, Joe once had ambitions to be a serious journalist. At this point, though, probably even Rush Limbaugh is blushing in embarrassment over Joe's contorted ambitions. Joe's Sadge stellium trines his Leo North Node which is in conjunction with Chiron. He maybe has sort of just relaxed into settling for being a half-assed writer. Obviously it pays the bills.

The 3d house rules neighbors and it turns out that Joe's Sadge Sun-Mercury-Venus is in Sarah Palin's 3d house of neighbors. They were just meant to roast up some weenies in the backyard together on those fun Saturday afternoons -- just that Joe will be up in the 2d story window, drinking a beer, talking on his cell to New York, and filming Sarah and her kids the whole time. I bet he even blasts the stereo all night long. Has probably had special woofers and tweeters installed. The Gitmo attitude just plain old sucks. These creeps are out there. That's for certain.

The good neighbor bonding thing between the two charts goes even deeper. Sarah Palin's 3d house, my o my, the gift that keeps on giving. Sagittarius rules Sarah Palin's 3d House cusp and ruler, Jupiter, is closely conjunct her Descendant in Aries (within a degree). That ties her house of open enemies in with her neighbor situation. And, of course, it ties her in with the Sagittarians. And they are quite territorial people. And Aries is the God of War, no further explanation needed. But Sarah likes having Sagittarius types of neighbors. They are hunters. Just it's not real fun being the hunted. The Bears are more civilized, after all. Or, at least, it's legal to aim one's bazooka at a bear who's staring into your back yard. Sagittarius also rules Lawyers so I bet there will be a few of those attending the cook outs as well.

Looks like it's already taking effect. The transiting Nodes just passed over this same axis within the last couple of weeks and its very widely conjunct Pluto (power trips).

Hey Sarah, I hear that Joe's house in Massachusetts is empty this Summer... Maybe you could move in there. Sagittarians are anal retentive so it's actually not too difficult to mess with their heads.

"Off With Her Head!!"

If you didn't see the latest remake of Alice in Wonderland then you certainly ought to. You can't go wrong with Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter. But the person who stole the show was Helena Bonham Carter playing the most bizarre and evil Queen of Hearts you can imagine.

At any rate, when you hear "Off With His Head!" and you're interested in Astrology, often you just have to wonder if the 27th degree of Taurus is somehow involved. For some reason this year I was paying more attention than usual, maybe because I saw the movie. Fixed Star Caput Algol is at 26 degrees Taurus 10 degrees and when the Sun hits that degree you had better watch your throat.

I first heard about this Star when Bob Marks mentioned it on his Forum. That particular year there was an actual news story of a grown son who murdered his Mother and her pet Poodle ... and creepily ... he beheaded them. This year there was yet another story of a grown Son who beheaded his Mother. I seem to remember that the Sun was at early Taurus and there was some other planet at or very close to 27 Taurus.

Kind of interesting that Mother's Day is in May and comes about a week before the Sun hits this degree...

At any rate, I saw an incredible movie about Leo Tolstoy a couple of weeks ago, The Station Agent. The movie is about a huge change he had made halfway through life. Tolstoy was born a nobleman and became a famous writer and then in middle age he suddenly became a political reformer who sort of helped urge on the revolution in Russia. The movie shows how as an old man he was trying to live in both worlds, conflicted between his wife and family commitments and his loyalties to help fund "the Revolution." through his will.

According to the Wikipedia Biography of him, one of the big events that changed Tolstoy's outlook was a trip he took through Europe where he witnessed a Beheading in France. By coincidence, this event happened to occur right as Tolstoy's progressed Sun was approaching Caput Algol. Can't really remember, think it may have been 26 Taurus and Algol is at 27 degrees. Too lazy to look it up.

So, then lately I began to wonder about how the Queen of Hearts would show up in Lewis Carroll's chart. I wrote a book report on Lewis Carroll when I was a kid and I seem to believe that he never married. A Moon in Taurus? Venus? I looked up his chart and .... no. I couldn't find a connection.

So, I looked up the chart of Alice Liddell, the little girl for whom Alice in Wonderland is named. Turns out she was heavily Taurean with Sun 15 Taurus conjunct a huge stellium at the beginning of Taurus: Pluto 1 Taurus, Uranus 4 Taurus, Mercury 8 Taurus Rx, and Saturn 9 Taurus and then the Sun.

Alice was 10 when Lewis Carroll first told her and her siblings the beginnings of the story at a picnic on July 4, 1862. Alice's progressed Sun was at 25 Taurus. The kids spent the next 2 years nagging Lewis Carroll (Not his real name) to write it down which he had done by November, 1864. The book was published the next year in 1865, the same year that Alice's Sun was exactly conjunct Caput Algol at 27 Taurus.

So, that's the best I can do making a connection between The Queen of Hearts and Alice in Wonderland and Caput Algol. Go see the movie. It's great. Caput Algol also symbolizes great creativity.

Of Dame Edna Born

Was listening to an interview with everyone's favorite Australian Lady, Dame Edna, and really, really, really started to wonder about her astrological chart. I also wondered about her "alter ego" Barry Humphries, chart as well. It turns out that Dame Edna is a Sadge. No wonder she's so charming, and so much fun.

I assumed that Dame Edna would have a Leo Moon, but I was wrong. To my personal (well, heh) delight, the Dame actually has a Capricorn Moon. Well, we Capricorn Moons certainly do make a good spoof of the female ego, don't we? The control thing; The "Mature Woman" who leaves her invalid husband behind in order to go after her career, jet-setting around the world, confidante to the Queen (in her own mind at any rate).

Well.... the astrologers like to tell us Capricorn Moons that life gets better after we get older (b.s. interpretation) ... Edna's thriving I guess because she has the charming Sadge Sun and North Node to fall back on.

Humphries himself has the zany Aquarius Sun, perfect signature to play an "alter ego" since opposite sign Leo rules the Ego proper. His natal Moon is in Aries. Mom was a spitfire? Interesting that Dame Edna was first "born" in 1955 when Humphries progressed Moon was probably in Capricorn, he must have been really depressed that year to the point that he had to do something about it.

Humphries has a loaded 12th house with Sun, NN, Saturn and Venus in that house. Great for an actor who escapes into other characters. His Saturn is conjunct his North Node to the degree and it's interesting that his Wikipedia entry says that his absent, strict Father was his inspiration for wanting to escape into other characters during childhood.

One would want to take a look at Humphries' natal Venus, of course, to understand his ideas about women, and art. His Venus is in Aquarius and unaspected and retrograde. That means that weird women are a strong signature for him. At any rate, tt's no surprise that he is involved with Arts and Comedy and the Unusual and with Shock. When he was younger he performed as a Dada-ist. That certainly embraces the unusual.

Onward to the Mommy story. It's connected with Humphries' natal Rx Venus, so prominent in his natal chart, which went direct around 1942 by progression when Humphries was around the age of 8. During the same age his progressed Mercury stationed Rx. I went back to Wikipedia to find out if any significant changes in psychology would show up around that time. Wikipedia says that his Mother threw away all his books when he was 9 years old! Mercury = Books! Rx equals being held back and forced to stew in the juices of the planet for a while longer than other folks.

Rather than turning to sports, or whatever, as Aries Moon Mom probably would have preferred after tossing out all her sons' precious books, Humphries became a voracious reader and turned to all kinds of Mercurial antics. His natal Mercury is in his first house of personality conjunct Mars in Pisces and is opposing Neptune. Humphries also suffered from Neptune's flip-side problem and turned to drinking early on. He was sent to Rehab in the early 1970s when his parents found him passed out face down in a gutter. His progressed Mercury had stationed Direct back in the mid-60s. It passed into Aries around 1991.

Right now Dame Edna herself is close to celebrating a New Moon in Aquarius by Progression. This means that her Sun (and possibly Moon) is at 22 Aquarius and is going to be in conjunction with her "Alter Egos" natal Sun in about 6 years. No walker for this old lady, her mind will stay sharp as a tack.

Women Cellists with Multiple Sclerosis

This is sort of an unusual coincidence which makes astrology look awesome.

Most people are familiar with Jacqueline Du Pre, the famous cellist whose career was cut short by onset of Multiple Sclerosis. Well, about a week ago I heard a program on NPR which interviewed the cellist from the Kronos Quartet, Joan Jeanrenaud. Jeanrenaud had to give up her career with the Quartet about 11 years ago. I knew she was no longer in the group and had no idea why. Turns out that she also was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. From the interview it sounds as if this cellist, Joan Jeanrenaud is dealing with her illness very well and is finding ways through recording to continue with her musical career.

While listening to the interview I made a note to look at Joan's chart to see if it is at all like Jacqueline Du Pre's. It turns out the two charts have stunning similarities. For one, these two women are born a day apart under the sun sign Aquarius, January 25 & 26. Aquarius is a mental sign. Many successful women are born under it because it offers the ability to not only be highly intelligent but to distance one's self from life events, to take a long range view and to see the bigger picture. Aquarius women are very strong. Unfortunately it also can affect a person's all over nervous system. The Sun rules a person's vitality and overall health, and Uranus rules the nervous system.

There is also the chance that both women share the same Moon Sign Moon in Cancer. This sign works in pretty much the opposite way that an Aquarius Sun does. Cancer is the sign of feelings and great sensitivity, great receptivity. These signs relate to each other in a quincunx type of way and quincunxes are said to often develop into health issues because they try to bring together two energies which really don't relate to each other. It is a way of relating which always requires making "adjustments" because things don't seem to mesh. What both of these signs do have in common is a hyperactive psychic/intuitive ability. People with this combination may have to mentally try not to become overstimulated by their perceptions and senses. (I can't say much more about the Cancer Moon because Joan Jeanrenaud may actually have a Gemini Moon.)

I don't claim to understand much at all about medical astrology so my observations are probably very silly for those who do. But here goes.

Right off the bat, though, I see that Du Pre's chart offers a couple of insights into her disease. Her Cancer Moon is in conjunction with her Cancer North Node. On the opposite end of the Nodal Axis, she had a conjunction to the degree of Mercury and Mars in Capricorn which is in conjunction with her South Node. Interesting that these two planets together rule motor coordination. Mars would rule the gross motor coordination of the body. Mercury would rule the small motor coordination related to the hands and manual dexterity. At any rate, Du Pre's motor coordination would have been highlighted within her life in some way, in a way which affects her destiny (Nodal Axis).

(As an aside just because I find it interesting, In Du Pre's chart this big opposition is placed in angular houses crossing the 4th and 10th houses. Tiger Woods has a Mars-Moon opposition over this spot as well, perhaps this shows early drive and success in life as Moon and Mars both represent childhood and youth.)

Unfortunately, planets bound together by oppositions, especially when placed over the Nodal Access and IC/MC axis (strong angular emphasis), will not happily blend with each other. They constantly play a balancing act with each other, and will oppose each other. Doesn't help that Du Pre's Ascendant is Aries which is ruled by Mars. This rules her physical body so her physical body is ruled by the planet which rules her motor coordination and brain activity.

As I said earlier Du Pre's Sun (Vitality) is in the sign of Aquarius, which rules the nervous system. Interesting that she had a "Mental" Air Grand Trine between Sun, Uranus in Gemini (H2), and a conjunction of Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune in Libra. This latter conjunction is placed in the 6th House of Health.

This Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune conjunction mirrors the current conjunction of these last 3 planets in Aquarius which has currently been in the sky. Can only imagine what kinds of musical geniuses have been born over this past Summer/Fall.

I don't have a birth time for Joan Jeanrenand's chart. Her Aquarius Sun is conjunct Chiron and Mercury in her chart and they are opposing Uranus. This shows high intelligence, of course, with a strong interest in anything new and innovative, like the avante garde music which she became famous for. It can also show a high strung nervous system, especially since Chiron is involved and adds the idea of a wounding that can't be healed which could show up, of course, as a chronic illness.

Also coincidental, both women have Venus in Pisces. Know that this shows musical abilities. Don't have any idea if it is also related to Multiple Sclerosis. Pisces and its ruler, Neptune, naturally rule the 12th house in Astrology in general and can be related to chronic illness and anything that is debilitating and difficult to understand.

Since both women are Aquarians, their progressed Suns were passing through Pisces when they became ill. This gets pretty interesting actually when comparing their charts.

The Progressed Sun was very close to the same degree of Pisces when both women were diagnosed (6 degrees for Du Pres, and 8 degrees for Jeanrenaud). Jeanrenaud's progressed Sun was conjunct her natal Venus within a degree at that point. Du Pre's progressed Sun hit her natal Venus the year that she passed away. I don't understand people who say that this progression is a time of great happiness, usually for weddings, etc. I've almost always seen it manifest as a fairly dark period in a person's life.

It's also strange that Jacqueline Du Pres passed on Oct. 19, 1987 and Joan Jeanrenaud was diagnosed the next year in 1988. It's almost as if there was some demon flying from the body of one cellist to the next. Actually, now that I think about it this is probably true. Both women had progressed Sun conjunct their natal Venus' during this two year time span in the sign of psychic Pisces. There probably was a real transfer of energy!

Du Pre would have been around Age 28 when she was diagnosed in Oct. 1973. This is the time of the progressed Lunar Return/Saturn Return. Both of these planets are placed in the Sign of Cancer in her natal chart. And remember that the Moon is in conjunction with the North Node.

Jeanrenaud would have been around Age 43 when she was diagnosed in 1988. This is just after her Uranus Opposition/Neptune square. She has these two planets in a square aspect (to the degree) in her natal chart. They are actually in a t-square with the Sun-Chiron conjunction which hooks them into health/vitality.

Sorry, I can't provide any great insights in multiple sclerosis but I suspect that these charts can provide some great keys for those who know more. These charts mostly show musical talent to me.

Right now, I'm listening to a cassette of some lectures that Barbara Brennan gave back in the early 1990s. Brennan has been one of the leaders in the Intuitive Healing movement and it's always inspirational to listen to such inspiration and I'm in need of inspiration right now. When I'm listening to recordings in the car the speaker must compete not only for my undivided attention (impossible) but must also speak over the road noise. Fortunately my player goes into auto rewind mode and I have to let a single tape run a few times through before I can begin to even listen. In addition to that I self-profess that although I have from time to time been involved in a healing I have no natural ability for any kind of healing class as I'm a very jealous, resentful & bitter person (and justly so, the stories I could tell). At any rate, I'm no Barbara Brennan and will never hope to be. I still like to expose myself to these styles of existence because they are definitely among the best that the World has to offer. And, of course, I have the Gemini Rising and the 3d House Mercury so I'm perpetually curious about just about everything. And while listening to the tapes I was obsessively itching with that burning question, "What's her sign?" I forced myself to finish at least 2 tapes before looking it up. I knew that Uranus and Neptune would have to be prominent, those are the signs of a miracle worker, but I was detecting a Taurus tinge of something... (Uranus and Neptune right, Taurus ... well, maybe not).

Without a birth time it's impossible to know what Barbara Brennan is astrologically. The noontime chart for her birth date is so close to the Aquarius/Pisces cusp that it's impossible to say whether she's an Aquarius Sun or a Pisces Sun. If born in Wisconsin (I'm not sure of birth place) the Sun passed into Pisces between 7am and 8am!

And it's the same thing with her Moon! At noon her Moon is placed at 5 Pisces! She might have a new Moon in Aquarius. Or she might have a New Moon in Pisces. Or she might be an Aquarius Sun with Pisces Moon just like Dick Cheney. Wouldn't that be weird and a major reason to quit astrology!!!

Well, anyway. These two signs rule Intuitive abilities and Psychic Abilities so I suppose the chart is right on track either way.

The rulers of both signs are set off prominently in Brennan's natal chart as well. Neptune is unaspected at 23 Virgo, which gives great prominence into the combined areas of Psyche and Health. And Uranus is a singleton in the Fixed Sign, in Taurus, and conjunct Brennan's South Node in Taurus. Her North Node is in Scorpio, showing a destiny which wants to delve deep into the cosmic goo.

I read an interview with Brennan (and, sorry, lost the link) in which she describes that she had been working as a Physicist for NASA when in the early 70's two things led her into the woo-woo. The first was watching civil rights riots from a roof top in Washington DC. Talk about an out of body experience. The second was a car accident which led her to seek alternative forms of healing. (That will literally throw you out of your body). The riots and the car accident seemed very Uranus/Mars so I had to look at the progressions to see if these planets were connected with her transformation. And the findings were very interesting.

First off, transiting Pluto would have passed over her natal Neptune in Virgo a couple of years before, in the late 60s. So she may have been having an ego wipe out of some sort. These two are meant to create a great psychic awareness. They can, in Noel Tyl's apt terms, also bring an Ego Wipe Out. Basically most people won't "go there" unless there is some serious loosening up.

Secondly, she would have been just past her Saturn Return in Aries (there's some Mars action) in the early 70s. That's a time in life when one evaluates one's accomplishments and decides on the next course of action.

The progressions that come right after this are very powerful. Brennan's progressed Sun passed into Aries around 1970 and was squaring her progressed Mars in first degrees of Capricorn. This square stayed in effect all through the early 70s. So there's the Mars stuff: the riots, and the car accident. This square (challenge) happened on the Aries Points which indicates events that will lead to coming before the public.

Another relevant progression is Progressed Mercury which was slowly changing direction and turning Retrograde from 1971 to 1973. It was in the sign of Aries as well and it was conjunct Brennan's natal Saturn. Mercury literally rules cars. Saturn rules breaks. Saturn in Aries is not well placed. It combines Saturn with the energy of Mars, a combination which has been referred to as trying to drive with the brakes on. How interesting what a difficult Mercury, Mars, Saturn conbination can bring out of a Uranus and/or Neptunian type of person.

It's really interesting to observe that an Rx Mercury was taking place as Brennan's new career took off because normally this is considered to have a difficult effect on communications. She may have sort of gave up on the verbal, day to day stuff and found that it led to something bigger. Retrogrades can be very creative (or frustrating) and make a person rework and rethink things. On the other hand, she describes in that interview how she actually switched from studying Outer Space to Studying Inner Space. This transfer from Outer to Inner is perfectly described by a strong progression over the Aries Point where the end of the Astrological Wheel swings around to meet the Beginning. The Ouroboros is the ancient symbol for a healer as well!

So, just for fun, I also had to look at Brennan's chart to see what it's going to be doing for the 2012 thing. I just get really curious about these kinds of thing. I mean, if, like, you know ahead of time that the Space Ship is going to carry some of us off, you know it's going to have Barbara Brennan on it. I mean, she's practically Sigourney Weaver in that regard.

Will Barbara Brennan be ready for 2012? (tsk, tsk, stupid question). Will she fight the Alien? Will she save the cat?

Well, on 12/21/2012 we have transiting Sun at 1 Capricorn squaring t.Uranus at 5 Aries. This is layered on top of the same spot as where Brennan's progressed Sun-Mars square was when she began her life's work as a healer! Most of the rest of her chart is receiving a conjunction or opposition transit as well.

Pretty amazing. What's Ridley Scott's phone #? We've got a new pitch for him.

George Zinkhan, Why The Aquarians Kiling People These Days?

California Girl mentioned George Zinkhan in one of her comments. She pointed out that like the Medical Student who has just been arrested for murders and abductions, Zinkhan is a late Aquarius. This means that both men's Sun are receiving the Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune conjunction. Interesting that both are related to higher education, which are ruled by both Jupiter and Chiron. Thanks for making the connection and pointing it out, California Girl. Do you have a blog we can follow?

Zinkhan is a well respected Marketing Professor at a Georgia University in Athens, Georgia. Or at least he was until he apparently shot his wife and two other people at a reunion picnic. He quickly dropped his two children off at a friend's house and has disappeared. I think I read somewhere that the FBI suspects that he has gone to Amersterdam where he has a second home.

Wikipedia is offering his birth date and I don't have a place so I'm using Athens, Georgia for birth location. His moon placement might be in conjunction with his Mars in Scorpio which shows someone who holds things in and then explodes. Zinkhan's chart has two other extreme aspects in his chart which I noticed. I'm not really paying attention to this because I'm sort of too anxious right now to look at anything violent right now. I figure there will probably be some incredible interpretations. Zinkhan has a Grand Square which can be a source a great stress for a person. It also can give a person great drive to achieve. He also had a conjunction of Sun in Aquarius to his North Node at 1 Pisces. Hopefully I'm correct about this but I remember Komilla Sutton as saying that a Sun-North Node conjunction is one of the most difficult aspects as these two energies compete with each other to shine. There were definitely some ego problems going on here along with an ability to bottle things up.

What's interesting and pretty gruesome is the way that the Solar Arcs and Progressions are hitting Zinkhan's natal chart. Since violence is a Mars thing I paid attention to Mars. The Mars in Scorpio has now arced to conjunction with the Grand Square through natal Chiron 10 Capricorn. Since Zinkhan may have a Moon-Mars conjunction his Moon would also be setting off the Grand Square.

The Grand Square is made up of outer planets and Chiron: (Jupiter 14 Aries opposing Saturn 15 Libra-Neptune 22 Libra squaring an opposition of Uranus 11 Cancer to Chiron 10 Capricorn). Since Solar Arcs all progress about a degree a year in tandem with the Sun's Progression the Grand Square has arced and was passing over Zinkhan's natal Sun-NN conjunction. It would have been exact about 5 years ago and is past now. Of course, his Sun is just receiving the conjunction of Neptune-Chiron-Jupiter in Aquarius.

Additional sucky Arc: SA Pluto is on his natal Saturn-conjunct Neptune.

Interesting that Chiron is so heavily involved here. Chiron was the teacher-healer and maybe affects college professors more than others. I've read elsewhere on the Internet that one of his students suspected that he had a drug problem as his behavior was odd (well, he was an Aquarius) and one of his fingernails was kept long (possible Cocaine?). Neptune rules escapist tendencies that are the hallmark of drug addiction and Jupiter rules excess of just about anything so it would make sense that substance abuse could figure in.

That's about it. Oh yeah, Mars, Mars, Mars.

Zinkhan's progressed Mars is currently moving Retrograde which can always show a build up of frustration. Natally it is at 12 Scorpio. It progressed forward until around 1988 when it stationed Rx at 18 Scorpio (chart shows it in a Thor's Hammer with p.Sun and p. Pluto, repression of violent tendencies?). Wonder if something from the years around that time is connected with current action? Mars is currently at 15 Scorpio Rx. On Saturday there was a New Moon in Taurus the opposite sign of Scorpio which could certainly show an emotional trigger. Mars is associated with Scorpio because it was the ancient ruler of that sign before Pluto was discovered. It is associated with deep resentments and jealousies and boy would it be difficult to have a Progressed mars that is stuck on the same degrees like that through life. Granted it probably does explain the positive outlets of working in marketing and understanding people's hidden motives and drives to buy crap (Zinkhan's specialty).

The Moon was at 13 Taurus at 12:30 when the shootings occurred so the opposition was precise.

Guess now we know that New Moons that oppose our natal Mars (and maybe Moon) are maybe not the best time to go on light-hearted picnics.

Didn't get a chance to look up what Venus Rx in Aries has been doing to Zinkhan. I sort of remember that his progressed Sun is in Aries somewhere. Sorry, gotta go.

Suspected Craigslist Murderer?

Now there's another weird murder story. This time it's about a Med Student in Boston who is suspected of hurting women he meets on Craigs List. One woman was murdered. Reports say that people are completely shocked by the charges so this is another one of those "That little bunny rabbit couldn't hurt anybody" story. (One of my favorite all-time scenes in movies is the little white bunny rabbit protecting the cave scene in Monty Python's Holy Grail.) The thing I was most curious about was whether or not the guy has Venus in Aquarius since he met the women through the Internet.

According to Wikipedia the alleged killer is named Philip Markoff and his birthday is:

First of all I have to from now on apologize to all people of Sun Signs and Moon signs and whatever who share signs with people I talk about. I'm just in the mood to talk about murderers right now. Venus Rx squaring a great deal of my chart right now. I really need to be looking at the charts of real bunny rabbits. They are the only animals who can die from fright.

It's difficult to look at this chart and see a murderer. There are some raspy looking aspects like a Mars-Saturn conjunction (in Sagittarius) and Pluto conjunct the Scorpio South Node. But Markoff has Sun conjunct Jupiter and Venus in Aquarius. I can see why people would like him.

Oh, he does have Venus in Aquarius, so the Women on the Internet aspect shows up literally if he is the murderer. That's creepy.

So, in true Aquarius fashion I think he must have just snapped. Or he's so charming that he was going to work his charm to unchartered territories.

The first attack was on April 10, 2009 and the astrology shows his chart under a lot of stress. T.Neptune has been on the Sun-Jupiter-Venus conjunction and he's going through a Jupiter Return. Capricorn Moon that I am I think that's sort of an overload on the happiness scale and one could certainly be taken over by fantasies. It could, in a weird way, make a person lose contact with reality especially where women and Craigs list is concerned.

If Markoff's got a natal Aries Moon then, for one, he likely has impulse control problems at times, and, for two, likely the very long Retrograde conjunction from the Venus Rx in Aries transit would be torquing his relations with women. Interesting that he has been planning to get married. I imagine that a freedom loving Aquarius Sun conjunct Jupiter person might not be able to handle planning all those oppressive festivities. That kind of person needs space. Repeating this theme, the Mars-Saturn conjunction in Sagittarius shows a man (Mars) who might naturally feel stifled (Saturn). This was under a whole lot of stress as there has been a Mars-Saturn opposition squaring his natal Mars-Saturn conjunction.

It looks like on Apr. 10 there was an opposition of Moon to Mercury which was right over Markoff's Nodal Axis and Pluto. Pluto and a Scorpio North Node could literally indicate Murder since they both rule that unfortunate subject. Certainly it would show deep and secretive desires that might be taboo. What was that Jeremy Irons movie about the twin gynecologists? I could only watch it halfway through...

Hope to read others' impressions. This is really sensationalistic and I told myself I wouldn't do anymore of these. Can't guarantee the accuracy of this birth data as it's very early in the case.

The Boogeymen of the Inauguration

Obama's swearing in was a Miracle both in acceptance by the U.S. of an African American Leader but also in the peaceful control of a huge crowd. This shows the angular Sun in the 10th House and angular Moon. The Sun was conjunct Mercury and Jupiter (eloquent President born of an immigrant and mixed marriage). The Moon was at the last degree of Scorpio in the 7th House (Public's deepest desires working in harmony and cooperation). Those are my interpretations, at any rate. There were problems with the music due to the cold temperature. YoYo Ma and his Classical friends apparently played to a dubbed version of their performance because their instruments couldn't stay in tune. Aretha Franklin was on Larry King saying that she was unhappy with her performance. But, damn, her hat was the finest confection that ever graced a female head, my knitting forums were going ape face over it.

There were problems with both of these aspects, the Mercury and the Moon as would be interpreted. With Mercury both Retrograde and Cazimi the Sun and with the Void of Course Moon one would expect some snafus and we were not disappointed. The Swearing In happened a bit late at around 12:06pm rather than at noon on the dot. Then the chief Justice messed up the 35(?) words of the swearing in. This was redone one Wednesday but without the Bible. So the actual "words," the Mercury element, didn't quite jell. It doesn't matter, really, but it's always difficult to know whether it's God in the Details or the Devil. I suppose it's best say a Blessing for the Virgo's before all important activities because things like this can be real thorns in the side. I think this is Obama's natal Gemini Moon square Pluto aspect in action anyway.

There was another problem, which could be attributed to the Scorpio Moon. Some Texan politican refused to okay Hillary Clinton's election as Secretary of State until the next day.

I wanted to check out the charts of the two guys who sort of put a clinker in the day's activities to see maybe what are party pooper aspects.

Both are Aquarians, oddly enough (an Aquarian keyword). Both are also Conservatives trying to cope with the aftermath of the Neptune transit to their Suns I suppose. Neptune is the planet of formlessness. It's supposed to break down one's sense of boundaries, thus its normal rulership for compassion for others. Needless to say this is not a Conservative's favorite planet. Conservatives like things to stay the same, like structure, and simple plans and boundaries.

First Boyfriend, Republican John Cornyn from Texas had to input his negativity by ensuring that Hillary Clinton's appointment as Secretary of State was delayed a day. I wanted to see what the dude's problem is.

Sun 13 Aquarius; Moon Taurus; NN 1 Pisces

Cornyn's in that limbo space between his 2d Progressed Lunar Return and his 2 Saturn Return. The second pass is not as quite as big a deal usually. They happen farther apart in years than the first return does. And they say that if you screwed up during your first Saturn Return you don't often make it to your second Saturn return. That last interpretation sounds like office folklore wisdom and I have no idea if it's true or not. Probably it's true some of the time.

Cornyn's got a Cardinal Grand Square in his chart. His Saturn is at 15 Libra and opposing Jupiter at 11 Aries. These square a Venus-Chiron at 8-9 Capricorn opposing Uranus at 11 Cancer. Right now his Progressed Sun is on his Jupiter to the degree so he's outspoken about his opinions. This is sort of a double whammy Sun-Jupiter aspect as transiting Jupiter is conjunct Cornyn's Sun. This is reflected in the Sun-Jupiter conjunction of the event chart.

I'm sorry I can't offer a reasonable interpretation of what a Grand Cross means except that a huge amount of difficult aspects will be tripped off quite frequently in a person's life due to the squares (challenges) and oppositions (opposition, need for balance). Venus conjunct Chiron in Capricorn certainly seems to bring on some loveability & fear issues that are focused outward into the social Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus squares. If someone had thought to send Cornyn a box of See's candies maybe he would have mellowed a bit. Cardinal Signs begin projects, so this was perhaps the Republicans' announcement that they intend to fight everything.

Cornyn's progressed Mercury has begun moving in Retrograde Motion in Aries since he's come in to office. (sometime around 2005? I'm not real sure about date) so he's probably going to become all balled up over a lot of mercurial type of issues concerning getting facts straight and being a pest in general.

Chief Justice John Roberts also messed up during President Obama's Swearing In Ceremony by quoting the words out of order. I thought that Obama had fumbled due to nervousness but apparently it was Roberts who mis-spoke. Later on that night I heard the news trying to replay the Swearing In and realized what a loss this was. Well, there's Mercury Retrograde for you. This one was right on Robert's natal Sun which was close to going through a Return (Solar). And Jupiter was there. And the North Node was there. And Mercury was cazimi. And the Moon was Out-of-bounds. And, boy did he screw up. So, the Sun-Jupiter-Mercury Rx conjunction really points the astro arrows at these guys.

b. Jan. 27, 1955 Buffalo, NY

Sun 8 Aquarius; Moon Pisces; NN 6 Capricorn

While looking up his birth data I was reminded that Roberts had a seizure on July 30, 2007. This may have a result of an illness. Interesting that at the time of the seizure, his Sun was in the process of progressing in to Aries at the time. Aries and Mars rule the brain and inflamation. Right now his progressed Sun is exactly square natal Pluto and is 7 degrees away from a conjunction with his natal Mars. Boy, I hope he's taking a lot of Vitamin C because that's an inflamatory aspect.

Additionally, transiting Neptune is at 24 Aquarius moving into conjunction with Robert's natal Mercury 26 Aquarius. He has to be careful about any drugs he's taking because they could be causing Mental Fogginess. Either that, or it could have been a Freudian Slip of a super conservative white guy. Neptune rules the subconscious memory.

With these heavy transits to his Mercury and Mars it would make sense that he's really trying to maintain right now. Robert's natal Mercury is in a t-square with Saturn and Pluto so his normally sharp, conservative mind is getting a good fogging over, that's for sure. Well, first off let me state that I'm on my way to hide in a movie theater all day. I thought that I was going to hide at home and knit hats. But suddenly the inspiration is gone and the neighbors are booming their stereos so I'll go out to a darkened room with other pathetic types like myself who will probably be masturbating. I've heard that Bedbugs have taken over the movie theaters so I'll probably come out of that place with some real fine presents.

T. Pluto-Mars and the Sun are in conjunction with my natal Saturn in the 7th House and all week I've been experiencing the most unpleasant relations with people. A woman pushed in front of me at the check out line and I just started laying into her as only a Mercury in Leo with Gemini Rising and a Capricorn Moon can. I simply couldn't believe she didn't have any reaction. Turns out she didn't speak English and she was trying to get in line with her husband. (tee hee, blush). I gotta lay low, real quiet like but quiet isn't going to happen.

It's kind of one of those years where we really have to think about the materialistic side of Christmas what with all the Economists tanking the Economy and the Crooks getting caught. They're saying it's the slowest shopping season in 4 decades. I don't know how they got this number but the news said that the last time Christmas was this slow it was 1969. Teehee, where do they come up with this info anyway?

I may just be making this up but it seems like I'm seeing a lot of dirty people walking around with stuff crammed into plastic bags and I'm realizing that I'm in no position to help them. And there's all these stories of the criminals getting caught. Bernard Madoff's kids turned him in. I guess they wanted to avoid another Family holiday. That's 50B. The Bankers have managed to continue to screw the Taxpayers. They refuse to tell us what they're doing with the dough we are giving them. But, still, check your credit card statement. That's 750 B. Some Manager of a huge Electronics store in the area where I live has been caught bilking the company for Millions as well. The Capricorn Energy. You let that hoof step into one bad crack in the side of the Mountain you're climbing and blammo, you're down the hill. All the Sadge optimism in the world isn't going to compensate for what a jerk you've been. Well, actually my StepMother and StepSister and Brother are still at large, cashing in on my inheritance. But everyone knows, all's fair in Love, War, and the Combination of both which is Divorce.

So, upshot is: I'm thinking a lot about Ebenezer Scrooge. Can't really say what his sign is. He's Charles Dickens' character from a Christmas Carol. A greedy Banker or Landlord or something. Turns out Dickens published A Christmas Carol in 1843 while Neptune was in Aquarius conjunct Jupiter and conjunct Dickens' natal Sun at 18 Aquarius. Voila. The Neptune's Return to Aquarius and we're in the same damn boat. Only difference is that Dickens, a good Aquarius, has been replaced in modern society by Dick Cheney, a bad Aquarius. I guess it's a sign that blames others better than apologizes for its own mistakes.

Like magic, The Scrooge Character seems to have been born of Dicken's Saturn Return as he was around 31 years old when it was published. His natal Saturn is in the 4th House in Capricorn. So, the Capricornian fall from power, or in this case the extreme wisdom that a few of the best Capricorns have access to brings the rise and the ability to transcend the rise and distribute back down to the masses. Such a Saturn-Uranus story. And, hey, those two are in their big aspect to each other in the signs of Virgo and Pisces, the two signs that I'd personally associate with Tiny Tim more than any others.

I wonder if a writer's strongest characters come to them when they are going through major transits to their 7th House cusp as that rules Partnerships. At one point I had a list of artists and their muses to see what kind of an association there is but somehow lost track of it. I think I resented that all the artists were men and all the muses were women.

Natally Dickens has a conjunction of Venus to Pluto on his Pisces Descendant which squares his natal Moon-Neptune conjunction in Sagittarius. This is a very strong angular square as it brings Moon-Neptune and Venus-Pluto into prominence with Dicken's Angles, these planets oppose/square his natal Virgo Ascendant and Gemini Midheaven. Those are both ruled by Mercury, the planet of the writer. By interesting coincidence, Dicken's progressed Sun was at 20 Pisces which would have just passed over his Venus-Pluto-Descendant.

Venus Pluto conjunctions have a natural affinity in some way with money as both planets rule the Money Houses. On the Descendant in Pisces, which has a natural affinity for the downtrodden and weak, of course Dickens would have understood the power and even better the transformational power that the Rich have in society. In Dickens' chart transiting Pluto had stayed in conjunction with progressed Venus. And progressed Mars would have just passed in to Taurus in the 8th House, sign of the Banker.

I can personally tell you that with Pluto transiting through the 7th House you become very aware of how selfish and power hungry other people are. Dickens would have had this aspect during his entire childhood. By interesting coincidence his progressed Venus travelled along side of transitsing Pluto for the entire time. By the time of his Saturn REturn, when he would have written "The Christmas Carol" the two were in the 8th House of Other People's money. And progressed Mars was just changing signs and was on 1 degree Taurus, the sign of Money, Bankers, Values (and, in many cases, basic Good Will and Kindness)

At any rate, with the New Moon conjunct Mars and Pluto, I strongly recommend avoiding the Shopping Malls this week-end. Yeah, I know we need to show our patriotism by going out shopping, but there will be some real screwballs out there. And they will own guns. And they will have good aim. Sun-Mars and Pluto represent the Human Will which can swing to great heights and to great depths. With the Moon and Capricorn, one should just try to not depend on the kindness of others, though. Keep busy, don't stay in one place for too long, and pray to get through the week in one piece.

This is just so "Lost in Spacey." Another Girl Astronaut Story. I swear, it's tough enough trying to shop at the Home Despot without every Girl Astronaut who walks down the plank losing her tool bag out in space. On the other hand, it's kinda cool to think that an alien might find it. Or it might come flying back into orbit and hit someone on the head 5,000 years from now. It's a $100,000 NASA toolbag. Just try to match that, Gucci. Maybe Paris Hilton will be cryogenically preserved just so she can be around to catch the thing.

Anyway, a glue gun exploded yesterday while Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper was doing maintenance on the Space Station and as she was wiping the goo off she lost a grip on her $100,000 tool bag and it wafted away. Hope they got it on video and post it on YouTube. This is just way cool. Much better story than how Ford, GM and Chrysler can't get it together to make a car that people want to buy so they're asking the Taxpayers to Bail them out too. Keep losing your NASA Gucci's, Heidemarie. (Why's your name so damn Long?) How many more days is Pluto going to be in Sagittarius? Gotta grab these stories while they still show up.

So Heidemarie has a big t-square in her chart that's all to blame. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Her Aquarius Sun is conjunct Saturn and is opposing Mars in Leo Rx. This is squared by apex Neptune in Scorpio. Since Mars is Rx she was born during one of those Mars Synodic Cycles that's so much fun to think about but virtually impossible to interpret due to lack of data. At any rate, natal Mars might even be in conjunction with natal Moon. I wonder if Mars-Moon aspects indicate exloding handbags?

Right now, transiting Neptune is at 22 Aquarius, t Chiron is at 17 Aquarius, and the North Node is at 13 Aquarius aspecting this t-square. That's as ooopsey daisy an aspect as they get. Plus, transiting Jupiter is 3 degrees approaching her natal Mercury at 24 Capricorn. Mercury probably rules tool bags; it rules all things having to do with manual dexterity at any rate. Mars probably rules tools. Natal Mercury is unaspected in her chart so any transit to it is going to be exceptional. Jupiter is eternally clumsy, but almost always lands on its feet.

Once Heidemarie returns to earth she'll be having a Nodal opposition so she'll be feeling a little confused for a short while longer.

E. Fay Jones

The New Yorker recently published an article by Malcolm Gladwell about Late Bloomers. That reminded me of an architect who I heard speak a long time ago. He was E. Fay Jones. Jones was doing okay. He worked for Frank Lloyd Wright as an apprentice but never achieved anything on his own creativity-wise. Then suddenly late in life something clicked with his design. In 1980 he was commissioned to build the Thorncrown Chapel in his native Arkansas. This was right at the time of his 2d Saturn return, Age 59. This makes sense as Saturn is related to old age and is known for blossoming slowly.

Fay Jones' chart is extra interesting in that he had a conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Virgo. The 2d Saturn Return apparently comes close to the same time as a Jupiter Return and so people like Jones who have a conjunction of Jupiter to Saturn go through the Returns to the same spot at that age. This might provide a special opportunity for them in particular at that age that's connected with the outer social world. These planets are related to career, after all. Up to that time, Jones was so heavily influenced by his mentor (Jupiter-Saturn influence) that he had never really developed his own voice.

In Jones' case this was connected with building an extremely beautiful Chapel for worship that was set out in Nature. Sorry I still don't know how to add pictures, the Chapel is breath-taking, you can really see the Aquarius Sun-Neptune in Leo expression. Natally he has an opposition between Sun (Aquarius) and Neptune (Leo). The transiting Nodes were passing over this opposition in 1980 as well. And, Jones' progressed Venus went Retrograde that year at 11 Taurus which squares the Sun-Neptune opposition. And progressed Mars followed soon after. This is an interesting case of progressed Venus ramping up one's creativity through the Retrograde. I've only heard of the Rx being associated with psychological unhappiness and feelings of not being loveable. Maybe p.Mars helps out. Natally, Venus and Mars are in conjunction in Jones' chart and opposing the Jupiter-Saturn conjuction so the connections are really pretty interesting.

This is just a coincidence, of course, but I swear to God the last week I've been hearing that old song from the 70s playing on muzac in stores everywhere. Then it turns out to be the old High School nickname for the new VP Candidate on the Republican Ticket.

Then it turns out that the new VP Candidate happens to have a Pregnant Teenage Daughter and she's from a town called Juneau. Same name, different spelling of last year's Comedy about a hip teenage girl who doesn't have an Abortion.

One thing you can say about Sarah Palin (well, everything's being said about her right now so I guess one more thing doesn't make a difference), she's hooked into the Trends. She's born under the sign of Trends -- Aquarius. Depending on her birth time she may even be a Double Aquarius. Aquarians are Mavericks so it's no wonder this is the reason why she was picked for this job.

And the Barracuda Part? She's born with Sun both in conjunction with and parallel to Mars and Saturn. That give one a Killer Jawbone. This conjunction is squaring Neptune, Lord of the Oceans, in Scorpio, Depths of the Sea, in her chart. Actually I seem to remember that Barracuda have abnormally large jaws, hard to remember, they were fished out of existence off the California Shores by the time I was born. Who cares about that anymore? Certainly not Sarah Palin who calls in Helicopters to shoot down wolves and advocates drilling for Oil. Palin is not into Environmentalism. Global Warming? A Pole Shift? Hey, Alaska can only benefit from both of those things. It's cold up there and, as it stands now, the Sun either never Rises nor Sets.

Anyway, the thing about the Pregnant Daughter which we're all supposed to ignore is that she is only 17 and she is now going to marry her boyfriend. This is a huge mistake. The divorce rates on such marriages are through the roof. The Republicans say they like straight talk but for some reason they're not talking straight here. And Mommy's already under investigation for firing an ex-brother-in-law during some Divorce proceedings as it is ... Doesn't this boyfriend have his own set of parents who care about his welfare? What's the matter with these people?

Weirdness of weirdness, Mommy wants to ban Sex Education in the schools. I suppose if kids don't have children to tie them down by Age 18 they'll most certainly leave the State.

Kind of weird how at the Convention last night people were screaming and holding up signs that read "Drill Now!" Gawd, the Republicans are just so full of innuendo these days.

Tell your kids to wait.

Then there's a problem with the new baby in the family. It's a mistake is to give birth to a baby with Down's Syndrome and then run for Vice President of the United States, especially on a platform that promotes Family Values. The baby is how old? Shouldn't Palin's answer have automatically been, "No, I can't leave my children right now, they need me." Okay, okay, so she's not a Soccer Mom, she just looks like one, and the media ran with it....

This blog shouldn't be written, of course. We all now know that the family's personal problems are nobody's business but their own. Bad bad bloggers. Bad media. Mean, so mean. But Mommy is being investigated for mixing personal power, family problems and other people's jobs. That's called a morally corrupt character. And she has barely ever been out of the State of Alaska. It's almost as if the Republicans decided to compete with Obama's lack of experience (which is their biggest criticism of him) by finding someone with even less experience.

Hey, this is straight talk. And I know it's crazy talk too. These are really crazy times. And unfortunately things can always get worse. And I'm very very afraid of that.

Frederick Alexander and "The Technique"

British Researchers have found that an alternative therapy really does treat back pain. This therapy is called the Alexander Technique and was invented by an Australian Actor named Frederick Alexander. Alexander began to lose his voice during performances and, unable to find a cure through his Doctor, found that by observing and modifying his posture and use of his body he could eliminate the problems. He regained full use of his voice and began to help other actors. Eventually he became known in obscure parts for his healing technique.

Sun in Aquarius automatically indicates an Innovator. This is doubly emphasized because ruler of Aquarius is a singleton by Element in the chart. North Node in Leo shows a destiny directed towards Leo type activities like being a Performer. For posture I was hoping to find a relationship between Saturn (bones) and Neptune (curves) and found that in Alexander's chart these two planets are involved in a Grand Trine with the North Node. Astrology Rocks.

I was also wanting to look at Mars because Mars indicates Movement and mobility. From the website www.alexander.ie/history.html I found the following description that Alexander "...revealed the mechanics of movement of the human being and the interference with muscles and reflexes that contriubtes to much of mankind's suffering in our modern civilization."

Alexander's Mars is Retrograde at 4 Virgo, the sign of Health through lifestyle. Mars rules Muscles. Mars Rx could certainly indicate needing to develop awareness of motion. Mars Rx can show problems in relationships, of course. I didn't read anything about Alexander's relationships so I don't know.

Alexander moved to Melbourne when he was 20 years old and decided to follow an Acting Career. His p.Mars had just Retrograded back into the sign of Leo, main keyword is the Actor as said before. It continued to progress in Retrograde Motion until 1929-30 when it Stationed direct on his North Node. That's pretty amazing for an Actor who teaches people to move properly through proper use of muscles and reflexes. His Moon is very likely in Aries and disposits to Mars. This could show a tendency to be able to care for others through the issues already discussed.

Since Alexander's conduit for developing his therapeutic technique was his Voice I had to look at the ruler of the voice, Venus. Venus in this chart is placed in Capricorn which is ruled by Saturn. Saturn tends to put restrictions on whatever it touches. Venus is squaring Chiron and Jupiter in Aries which shows the healing through Mars/Movement theme (Aries ruled by Mars). It may also be the only planet that aspects Mars through a trine which would mean that those two have an extra special bond with each other.

Alexander's ability to hook into the vibe of his generation in a powerful way is shown in his chart through great outer planetary placements to each other. There's the Grand Trine between Saturn-Neptune-NN already discussed which shows an ability to combine Form and Spirit with life's path. Saturn in Sagittarius is also apex of a Yod to a Uranus-Pluto sextile. Saturn and Uranus combine to rule Chiropractic Medicine (Rex Bills). And Jupiter is conjunct Neptune in Aries and squares Uranus in Cancer. that's just positive New Agey Feel Good stuff.

Uranus in this chart is a singleton in Water which puts special emphasis on innovations, independent thinking, science, foresight, etc. With Mars and Uranus placed in stand-out positions in the chart one can see why this person would place a great importance on keeping his mobility and freedom. Most others would give up and just move on to a profession that required less use of the voice.

In 1889, when Alexander began to act, Neptune and Pluto were in conjunction in Gemini. This is a very powerful combination of the two outermost planets and much extremely prophetic work in spirit/mind/body work manifested on earth around the time of this aspect.

Alexander's work, like so many others of this era has has never been well-received so it's really great that Science is finally catching up. Natally Alexander's Pluto 16 Taurus is squaring his 17 Leo North Node. His natal Mercury is at 12 Aquarius on the South Node. One can read that as "His message (mercury) had to germinate in the underworld (Pluto) before finding validity through research (Mercury, Pluto). But Fame (Pluto) is on the way." The Saturn-Pluto trine that has occurred this year has been transiting on top of Alexander's natal Venus-Mars trine. (And just for my own notes: He's going through a Nodal Opposition c. Neptune-Chiron.) Transiting Saturn is conjunct that natal Retrograde Mars and is probably very close to where it was when Alexander began to have the problems with his voice in the first place.

Mars-Saturn in Leo could signal a hampering of one's self expression while Mars-Saturn in Virgo would indicate scientific proof of healing methods. (In 1889, t. Saturn passed over P.Mars in Leo and then natal Mars in Virgo).

Internet Warfare, The Eclipses and Michael Phelps, Ain't He Awesome?

This is really crazy, interesting stuff. Jump to the stuff about the Olympics at the end and work your way back up. (HAPPY LUNAR ECLIPSE, BABY)

There are a couple of things I've noticed concerning the War that broke out in the country of Georgia on the same day as the Olympics. Understatement of the Century would be that Russia is full of itself these days. I've noticed that the Astrolocality lines for the Aug. 1, 2008 (21:10:09 UT) put the Sun-Moon MC lines running very close to Moscow. It's a Leo Full Moon, full of itself. Perhaps this is the reason why these people decided to start a War on the same day as the Olympics. That's just pretty weird.

Another thing is that Russian computer hackers have been breaking into the Government Computer systems and have actually stopped the services to the President of Georgia. I've said a couple of times before that I think that the Internet is going to go through several severe attacks during the Saturn-Uranus-Pluto t-square time. This could be the first of a long line of stories in that direction.

I've noticed a couple of things concerning tomorrow's Partial Lunar Eclipse (Aug. 16, 21:10:08 UT). The Sun MC Line and Moon IC-Neptune IC Lines run right through the Western States and smack dab through Seattle, Portland and the San Francisco Bay Area. Normally I would think, Yay, China's going to have a Bay to Breakers Event at the Olympics. That's an annual Marathon Celebration type thing where everybody who is or isn't a Transvestite pretends that he or she is and dances, frolicks, skips, pops wheelies on Unicycles across the entire breadth of San Francisco. It's fun but an event that I don't think anyone would want to be caught dead winning so it would be really surprising, i.e. Uranus on the ASC of a Lunar Eclipsey, if China were to go all out and declare one in Beijing as part of the Olympic festivities. They have to outdo Michael Phelps, after all.

That would be my suggestion for how to handle the Eclipse.

Unfortunately this seems like a difficult chart. Pluto is conjunct the Midheaven to the degree and at apex of a t-square to Uranus opposing Mars on the ASC-DESC axis. That's more like an Earthquake type chart. A Major Earthquake. It could be that Tesla Motors becomes the new boom techie company of the Silicon Valley, however.

The Eclipse chart ruler is Neptune which is placed in his own 12th House conjunct the Moon, the the North Node and Chiron in Aquarius. That's a lot of water. That flaunts the Uranus-Neptune Mutual Reception big time. The Higher Minded will go really high, and Gangs will take over the Mundane.

This chart also flaunts the Jupiter (Law, Publishing, Opinions, Education)-Pluto (Power broking, Other people's moneys) mutual Reception as they are both placed up in the top of the chart 10th House of Government, Authority, Management, Rules, Fathers. This is a big, outer planet chart showing things just on the verge of going completely out of control.

The Astrolocality chart also runs the Pluto ASC line through New York & Washington DC. As Pluto is conjunct the MC to the degree and squaring Mars (to the degree) and Uranus in the Eclipse chart, Security during the Presidential Campaign must be very secure. Jupiter is trining Saturn, in Saturn's sign, and Saturn's House. What does that say about Old White Men? I'm developing this terrible fear that Michelle Obama is going to start wearing Pill Box Hats in Public. Hope that's how you interpret those aspects.

This Eclipse chart is also interesting to compare with Michael Phelps' chart. I may talk about him later but so many people are looking at his chart right now I'd just be repeating everything. I'll just say I think that this guy is awesome out of his mind and it's interesting that he's coming to the Fore during this Lunar Eclipse. Lunar Eclipse conjunct Neptune certainly describes a Swimmer.

Phelps' chart has Sun at 9 Cancer opposing Neptune 3 Capricorn and trining Pluto 2 Scorpio. All the Water signs are represented here. The Sun in tomorrow's Eclipse Chart also opposes Neptune and trines Pluto. And Pluto (transiting) is very close to conjunction with Phelps' natal Neptune. That's so Fish Like. He'll have to be very careful to "decompress" emotionally after this is over, though.

And then there are really amazing coincidences with Mark Spitz's chart and the Munich Summer Olympics where he set his Records. Spitz is an Aquarius but his Sun is also in major aspect with Neptune and Pluto. Sun opposes Pluto and trines Neptune. Like Phelps his Moon is in Sagittarius.

And the Munich Olympics came after a Total Solar Eclipse that belonged to the same Saros Series 126 as this Summer's Beijing Olympics! Jupiter was also retrograde in Capricorn for this Eclipse. It passed back into 29 Sagittarius for the Lunar Eclipse. It was Stationed Direct the day before the Munich Olympics and was at the same spot where Pluto is now. Some pretty wild Capricorn Point interpretations could include winning the most medals and breaking Records in Olympian ways.

The North Node was already passed into Capricorn so there was almost a Nodal Return, but not quite.

This was the Olympics where the Isreali team was massacred by some terrorists. May their Souls Be Resting in Peace.

Why Is Carl Icahn Such a B?

This is a guy I don't get. Carl Icahn. He makes Zillions of Dollars by wrecking companies. If he were to chose to take out evil Companies that harm people I would think he was a hero. But he doesn't. He picks Companies he can make money off of. Essentially, he looks for a weakness in the Corporate World and then picks it to shreds. So, essentially he's a Buzzard and a Bottom Fisher. He's a wrecking ball for businesses kind of in the same manner that Osama bin Laden is.

Now Icahn's going after Yahoo. He's bought a bunch of shares and tried to intimidate Yahoo into selling to Microsoft. On Monday he's settled for a membership on Yahoo's Board of Directors. According to the show I heard on NPR last night, when Icahn comes on the Board of your Company he's there to wreck the company. He will get Microsoft to buy Yahoo and to destroy it. He calls himself an Activist. But he's no Robin Hood Activist. He's just a Greedy Mother Fucker who's showing off "because he can".

Icahn's Sun is in Aquarius which can be a very emotionally detached sign. Aquarius sees things from a distance. If Icahn's Sun is in Sagittarius one can see someone who's sights are set very far into the distance. Also someone who is very independent and believes very strongly in his own opinions. If Icahn's Moon is in Scorpio then there's a deep emotional motivation that he's working through. Scorpio would make him more of a Strategist, lone wolf type of character. It's pretty interesting how the Capricorn North Node seems to funnel these energies into the Corporate World. Capricorn rules God and the Devil. Capricorn rules the Corporate World. Capricorn rules Ambition. Capricorn can push a person to be successful so that even a person with no real skills can become a great success. I suppose as an ex philosophy major in college and chess player, Icahn sees himself as being a constructive disturbance, sort of a Psychic Demolition Derby Queen. Only thing is he's not working on the spiritual realm. He's simply been given the gifts to know how to manipulate things at that level. (jerk)

Icahn's Sun is unaspected by Ptolomaic Aspect. So his Ego is big. I'm sure he keeps trying to reassure himself that he means well because most Aquarius Suns do. Deep down he probably wonders why he doesn't give a shit and is probably insecure about it, but mostly he probably just doesn't give a shit. (For years my Uncle was completely broken up over the money he lost on TWA).

Icahn was born during heavy outer planet activity. As I said before his Sun is doing its own thing out in Aquarius. But his inner planets are busy hooking up the outer planets who in turn are hooking up with each other. He'd be good at Demo because he'd know exactly where to reach in and pull the plug, like a set of dominoes. For one, the Inners are in Outer Planetary Signs. For Two, they are in aspect to Outer Planets themselves. Mars in Pisces opposes Neptune and squares Jupiter. Mercury in Aquarius and Venus in Capricorn both oppose Pluto.

Icahn was born during an Saturn-Neptune opposition between Pisces (Saturn) and Virgo (Virgo) which shows that he understands the martyr complex. He was born into the Depression and he's very aware of that. Weird way of showing it that's for sure. It seems that every time Uranus trips off this opposition he pulls some new extra obnoxious stunts. In 1968 he started his own Corporate Raider business (Uranus in Virgo). in 1985 he launched his famous hostile takeover of TWA (Uranus in Sagittarius). Now with Uranus in Pisces, 2008, he's taking over Yahoo.

Icahn also has a wide square between Uranus in Taurus and Pluto in Cancer that expands out into a t-square with Mercury in Aquarius. And he has another big t-square with apex Jupiter in Sagittarius squaring Mars in Pisces opposing Neptune in Virgo. That explains how he attaches such a Circus to everything he does. Also explains his aggressive manipulative strategies. Mars and Jupiter together explains his interest in thoroughbred horses.

So the Money thing. Why's he so good at it? Without looking at his full chart I can't say. For one, he's got Jupiter in its own lucky happy go lucky sign of Sagittarius. And then, just from looking at his planets it seems that he's just got a sense of how the World works on a very big level and a hunter's desire to kill at that level. The Inner Planets are in the Outer most signs and the Outer Planets are in heavy aspects with each other.

The biggee, Pluto, in Icahn's chart aspects every planet except Neptune. So power and financial investments, other people's money, and working behind the scenes is a big part of his life. Pluto opposes the two planets that rule the Markets, Mercury and Venus, so power plays in the Markets are automatic for him. Icahn has Pluto squares Uranus, so he likes to rebel, stir things up, move the furniture around, turn CEO's into his pawns.

I began to wonder about the Centaurs in his chart. I do remember that they often show up in the charts of rapists. Rapist, Corporate Raider, what's the difference? As I said before this is no Robin Hood, but he does have a following. Turns out Nessus is the big Astro rapist indicator so that's a no-go.

But, the interpretations for Pholus are actually very interesting with relation to Icahn's chart. Eric Francis assigns the phrase "Small cause, big effect." Transits of Pholus are very prominent in key times in Icahn's career.

Natally Pholus is conjunct Icahn's North Node in Capricorn (within a degree). It was conjunct his natal Sun in 1968 when he started Corporate Raiding. In 1985 (TWA takeover) it was conjunct Icahn's natal Uranus along with prog. Mars. Right now it is in Sagittarius and could be conjunct his Moon (so don't know about that one).

Here's Astrodienst's description of Pholus. Pretty interesting description compared with Icahn's personality. Remember that Icahn has a Saturn-Neptune opposition in his chart that seems to activate in the financial when touched by t.Uranus. Pholus is to Saturn-Neptune what Chiron is to Saturn-Uranus:

The outer extremes of Pholus' path cross the orbits of both Saturn and Neptune. Just as Chiron is considered an astrological key to Saturn and Uranus, so Pholus is a key to Neptune. His average distance from the Sun is a little greater than that of Uranus, a complete revolution takes 92 years. In myth, Pholus guards the centaurs' vines, the wine from these being the actual cause for the battle between Hercules and the Centaurs. Like Chiron, Pholus becomes embroiled in the battle by chance, and dies due to a tragic coincidence - while curiously inspecting one of Hercules' poisoned arrows, he is mortally wounded.

According to first astrological observations, Pholus gives unusual ability in a particular area, or unexpected results, due to a gift for experiment. Pholus' transits over the main axes of a chart, often mark radical and unexpected change, hinted at by his sudden and unexpected death in the myth.

I don't have time to look at Jerry Yang's chart. I do remember that he's somewhere close to going through his Neptune square which is a drag. But, hehehe, Icahn's about to have t. Neptune pass on to his Sun. That's gonna be like trying to do business while an unbelievably beautiful woman wiggling her veils in front of his face. Wish I could be a fly on the wall in that room.

According to Wikipedia, Icahn's opposing Barack Obama. Warren Buffett is supporting Obama. I wonder what kind of a relationship those two have, Icahn and Buffett, that is.

The Birdman of Alcatraz

I love it when I start obsessing over a person and then discover that their charts reflect some current transits in the sky. Yesterday something tripped off my memory and I was thinking about one of my favorite movies when I was a kid, Birdman of Alcatraz. Scary child. I think my sense of what true Justice is aged about 9,000 years after watching that movie. And, you have to admit the acting was great.

As I write this "the Birdman" would be celebrating his Saturn Return in Virgo and would be due to celebrate his Jupiter Return in Capricorn this year as well. Pluto is passing back and forth over his South Node. I haven't got a clue how to interpret this, but I can go off in my imagination here. I have no idea whether reincarnation happens but this would certainly seem like a portal opening in time for the same kind of soul to re-enter.

Robert Stroud, Birdman of Alcatraz
b. Jan 28, 1890 Seattle, Washington (time from Astrotheme 10:00 pm)

Sun 10 Aquarius; ASC 5 Libra; Moon 26 Taurus; MC 6 Cancer; NN 2 Cancer

The Birdman, Robert Franklin Stroud, was a murderer. Just as he was approaching his first Nodal Return (t.Pluto c. n. North Node too) he killed a guy who had abused his girlfriend. Apparently he was hanging out with the wrong crowd and considering his natal chart had a Mars in Scorpio - Moon in Taurus opposition, it was only a matter of time when his temper would be tested beyond what it could handle.

After entering into jail, Stroud couldn't handle the abuse from the guards and was attacking them as well. Eventually he ended up on Death Row for killing a guard. And, Lucky Guy, his Mother and others were on the outside fighting to get him off. His Mother actually contacted the President, can't remember which one. He was born during the Pluto-Neptune conjunction in Gemini of the 1880s and this conjunction was featured prominentally in Stroud's natal chart. If the Astrotheme birth time is correct, it was conjunct his Sun and involved in a Grand Trine with a Libra Ascendant and a conjunction of Sun-Venus-Mercury Rx in Aquarius. At the time of the murder, his progressed Sun and Venus were conjunct at 29 Aquarius and squaring his natal Moon-Pluto. They then would have passed over into Pisces, sign which rules Imprisonment.

Birdman was sentenced to 12 years for committing his first crime and then had a few problems with guards in jail. He attacked the first one, then killed the second one and was moved around and eventually put into Solitary confinement on Death Row where his only contact with life was with birds that hung out in the barred window of his cell. He made cages for the birds and learned so much about them he wrote books on them. His Mother kept fighting on his behalf to keep him off of death row. Hollywood found him and made a movie about him.

The story is really really strange. The Astrology makes sense when you think of the strangeness because Stroud was an Aquarian. Whether or not he actually did have a Libra Rising in trine with his other planets, a Grand Air Trine for a guy who understands Birds really well just makes a whole lot of sense. The self-containment of the Grand Trine aspect actually found a constructive outlet in jail. It also brought the good luck connected with having constant attention for his incarceration. The whole Neptune-Pluto in Gemini generation certainly would understand the story of a guy who writes books while isolated in a jail.

Stroud murdered his Girlfriend's abuser, Jan. 18, 1909 in Cordova, Alaska. The Astrolocality lines show an interesting set-up as his Moon-Neptune-Pluto MC lines run through Alaska where he committed his first murder. The island of Alcatraz, where he found his connection with birds and eventually his Fame was closest to his Nodal Axis MC line. And surprisingly, his Nodal Axis is located in his natal chart at 2 Cancer-Capricorn and his Midheaven-IC Axis (assuming chart time is correct) at 6 Cancer-Capricorn. He became famous on this line at any rate in part for the place (IC, Cancer) where he lived. The circumstances were unusual, but as I said, he was Sun-Venus-Mercury in Aquarius. He also may have had a 1st house Uranus which strengthens the tendency for unusual circumstances.

One major anger management problem indicated in Stroud's chart is his Moon - Mars in Scorpio opposition. Mars squares his natal Sun-Mercury in Aquarius. That all makes for a flash temper. If he has a Libra Rising his story seems classic for the problems of that Rising Sign. He was trying to help his lover and instead buried himself into one catastrophic interaction after another until it finally finds redemption in going inward. I've just looked at a study of U.S. Presidents who have a predominance of Libra Risings. One can certainly see this same kind of struggle in taking on that job. Just remember back to Bill Clinton's days.

There are a lot of unbelievable interesting transits that connect to Stroud's natal chart, namely through Neptune, Chiron and Mars. It's interesting that the first murder was committed while Neptune was conjunct his natal Chiron-Lilith conjunction in Cancer. How about going to jail (Neptune) while defending your prostitute (Lilith) girlfriend's (Lilith, Cancer) problems? Of course, the progressed Sun-Venus conjunction squaring natal Moon-Pluto-Neptune didn't help. Nor did the Pluto-North Node conjunction (within orb of his Nodal Return). This murder would have held extra relevance for Stroud as it happened on Jan. 18, 1909 and so probably was linked into his Solar Return chart for the year.

The Birdman movie debuted July 3, 1962. This is an interesting Solar Return year for Stroud as there was a huge line-up of planets in Aquarius on his Sun that year. T. Pluto was just approaching his 12th House cusp opposing Jupiter-Chiron on his 6th House cusp (assuming Astrotheme chart time is correct). Jupiter-Pluto aspects are known to bring fame when working together in a chart. What better way to become famous than as being some kind of Francis of Assisi of the Federal Jail System in a Major Motion Picture? That's so many Neptunian/Pisces themes it makes my head spin.

Stroud died in 1963. Pluto was exactly conjunct the 12th house cusp of the Astrotheme chart.
