755
I don't watch baseball but you better believe my Sagittarius Mother did. If she were alive she'd be screaming her head off right about now, with the TV blaring in the background. As a matter of fact, I think I can hear her howling from off of some cloud right now. Perhaps it was her ghost that blasted Barry Bonds' ball out into the crowds on Saturday Night in San Diego. Bonds tied the Home Run record set by Hank Aaron and tonight he will try to break that record.
Bonds struck his 755th Home Run on August 4, 2007 7:29pm San Diego, CA. The Moon was at 2 Taurus in Bonds' natal 4th House, sign of a Home Run?
People don't know whether to cheer or to cry. Baseball, is, after all, the American Religion and this Victory isn't a pure, clean win. Pluto is in the sign of Religions and coincidentally is conjunct Barry Bonds' Sagittarius Ascendant. It is a pretty powerful image that Bonds abused drugs while Pluto was passing through his 12th house (of drugs) and got caught right around the time that it hit his Ascendant. If he's not taking drugs now, he is showing us that he still has the power to bat that thing at I think they said it was 91 miles per hour (for foreigners who drive kilometers, the speed limit on freeways in California is 65 mph. Someone drives past you at 91 mph, you show them your middle finger).
On the other hand we still have this Saturn-Neptune situation. And Bonds has it worse than most of us. If this event is one of the ways that the Saturn-Neptune opposition manifests for Athletes, it is truly a confusing combination. Bonds is caught up in a scandal surrounding the steroids (Neptune) he used in order to power down all those Home Runs. It's an artificial Victory. It's the same sad Fate that bicycle rider Floyd Landis suffered last year when he had to surrender his Victory in the Tour de France.
A really interesting aspect of the Event Chart for the Home Run is that the Rising Sign is 9 Aquarius. First of all, Aquarius Rising describes both Bonds and Hank Aaron; Bonds has an Aquarius Moon and Hank Aaron has Aquarius Sun. The transiting Neptune-Saturn opposition is set on these angles bringing forth this problem and Chiron is conjunct Neptune in the 1st house. It seems people in the sports world have been dreading this moment for a long time and would have preferred if Bonds had just retired in a dignified manner, but it would be unAmerican if they were not to feel completely elated as well.
Mars is at 29 Taurus conjunct the IC at 26 Taurus (Event Chart). That's exactly where one would want it for making a Home (IC) Run (Mars)!!
Bonds Sun in Leo opposes his Aquarius Moon and this opposition is also straddling the Ascendant-Descendant from the H6-H12 side. (Sun 3 Leo opposite Moon 6 Aquarius) The Saturn-Neptune opposition is squaring his natal Scorpio Midheaven.
This chart also hooks into Hank Aaron's chart (Feb. 5, 1934 8:25pm Mobile, Alabama) as he has a stellium at mid- to late Aquarius of Saturn-Sun-Venus, North Node and then Mercury. This stellium is in the 1st house of the Event Chart. And then, the Neptune-Saturn opposition is straddling his Nodal Axis with Aquarius North Node. Saturn is conjunct his 12th house cusp within a degree and opposing his Chart Ruler Mercury at 29 Aquarius. This is a weird, confusing Neptunian moment where in a way he's been eclipsed, something he could have expected as he aged (Saturn). But he hasn't really been beaten. As both men have a hard aspect between Uranus and Pluto, I'm sure the issue would be much better resolved if those planets were strongly aspecting their charts.
Barry Bonds will try to beat the record tonight in San Francisco. I saw another weird interview with various pitchers last night on TV. Still very Neptune. They were in a quandry about how to pitch, saying that they didn't know whether to fight his 756th Home Run and be forgotten or to go down in History as the Pitcher who threw the winning pitch.... weird.
