Kicking the Comet's Ass

This link supposedly shows a picture of the Sun's rays ripping the tail off of a Comet named Encke while it was sailing around inside Mercury's orb back in April: http://space.newscientist.com/article/dn12719-powerful-solar-outburst-rips-off-comets-tail.html.

When Encke first appears in the video he/she/it (Comet's gender?) seems to have no tail but the snip-snip is not supposed to happen until halfway through. I don't see it but the video is pretty powerful anyway.

How wonderful for you to find a "theme" video!

It's amazing that we have the ability to see these things now. There's so much going on up there that we don't know. Come to think of it, there's so much going on down here that we don't know (for starters, how the human mind and body really work. You'd think if they could put a man on the moon...)
