Government Shutdown

It looks a little bit like a nodal cycle thing. 

The north node is in Scorpio today in conjunction with Saturn.  The north node had just passed out of Scorpio in 1995-6 when the last major shut down occurred.  It was in Scorpio as well in 1976.  

Scorpio rules all dealings with other people and money and also power plays.  

Well, the sun and the sign of Leo also have something to do with power plays.  The moon tends to be in Leo when the markets shut down.  Leo also rules playing games and risky behavior.
