Spring Equinox 2012

Is it the Equinox or the Solstice? Doesn't matter. California didn't have a Winter really. It was more like menopause. The trees bloomed before the leaves fell of the trees. Wonder what the nuts and fruits will look like this year. ( Hahah, California joke.)

So, Spring, Summer, Meth, Pot. It's all the same. Neptune's in Pisces. Sun is at the beginning of the wheel looking to start up a whole new year. Action before Detox. You never know you have a problem until after you've driven your car off a cliff?

Spring Equinox

This Equinox is special because it features the Grand Trine of Mars 8 Virgo RX to Jupiter 11 Taurus to Pluto 10 Capricorn. This has lasted a long time because Mars is RX and moving slowly. Good News about the recession. Pluto is in the 1st house so somebody's going to tell the rest of us that they have the power to transform us. In Capricorn, though. They could become ruthlessly ruthless. Or old, decrepit and kind. Or both, which is always confusing and leads to Uranian revolts and things.

Mercury and Mars are featured in this chart because they are both Retrograde. So, whatever Retrogrades of personal planets mean to you is what this chart is all about. Merc and Mars are also in mutual reception with each other. Could be a cesspool of the past coming back to bite you. Or, finally, you get to bite back. Mars 8 Virgo Rx will be in 9th House for the Wash DC chart. This features work forces from other countries and the lawyers, religions, international relations, which make life better for them than it does for the locals. It could also affect transportation in some way, especially with the chart's Moon-Neptune in H3 as well (Neptune rules Gas and Oil).

Mercury and Mars working together rule the brain and the thinking and the cognitive processes. Whatever you were doing for the first two years of your life, this will have a subconscious impact of how you handle this solstice.equinox.global warming thing. Because that's when your Fine and Gross motor skills were developing.

Mercury is RX in Aries and in conjunction with the Sun and Uranus at the bottom of the chart. Maybe we'll find out what's at the center of the earth for once and for all. Don't stick your finger in the socket, that's all I'm saying. Electrocution could be a big deal. The conjunction of Mercury to Uranus will last an extra long time because of Mercury's Retrograde. This energy will last until April 22 when these planets will be in conjunction at 7 Aries for the last time this year. That certainly looks like earthquakes to me, but Mercury Rx might put a hold on it.

Wonder if all these Solar Flairs might actually do some damage. Anything's better than all this media overkill. And a scientist might actually perfect his prediction techniques.

Fortunately, there's a Presidential election coming up so the candidates can insult the crap out of each other and this might have a cathartic effect on the rest of us. Either way, words are going to spark. Personally, I think I might get sick watching Mitt Romney and Barack Obama verbally spar because neither one of them is capable of verbal abuse. Which might be the problem. I mean, is this election totally bogus, or what? Mitt Romney is Mormon. Mormon's spend a great deal of their lives preparing for the end of the world. They hoard supplies in their houses. What would it be like if a Mormon were to become President in 2012 which has so much doomsday prophecy stuff. The earth is going to align with the Galactic Center. Venus is going to end her freaky 8 year stint in Gemini. The Arabs might be able to get their countries back. Or they might seek revenge. Pluto in 1st house might want to sabotage and seek revenge.

Okay, so Venus and Neptune in this chart are both in the signs that they rule. That's great for doing art and shooting up. I'd advice investing in new sun tanning lotion inventions and WD-40 and KY Jelly because grease and lubricant is going to be everywhere. Things might flow, or people might be in denial about how they can't flow when everyone is so in denial. At any rate, I like Art and this is great for the Artists. Or for the plagiarists. Ew, and maybe Rick Santorum will be the one who actually wins the primaries. You know, because of what his name means and all. Sorry, had to say it, a friend posted something on Facebook which almost made me throw up. Everyone in San Francisco was "liking" it though.

Moon will be in conjunction with Neptune and Chiron in the 3d House. This means that nobody is going to be honest but everyone is going to be believable.

This chart actually shows a lot of easy going stuff. Nothing is in signs of fall or detriment. Sun and Saturn is in exhaltation. Venus and Neptune are in rulership. Mercury and Mars in mutual reception. There's a t-square between Mars and the Nodes and the Moon-Neptune. All these people in the news who are wigging out because of personal problems might be getting a little HappyHappy from big pharmaceutical, along with brain damage, of course, on account of the Mercury-Mars stuff. So moody, moody in a mutable sign way. Your neighbors aren't who you think they are, but maybe there will be something good on TV.

The Sun rules this chart from the 3d house right down at the IC. Big Media might come back. If I set the ASC correctly it is at 15 Sagittarius which seems to always bring on an Arab attack. This is important because Venus is finishing up the last part of her 8 year cycle in conjunction with the Sun and I think that will be around 14-15 Gemini. That's where the SAturn-Pluto opposition was on 911.

I forgot what the astrolocality lines were doing because I looked at the Supermoon coming up on April 6. The Uranus MC line runs right through the Bay Area for the Supermoon chart. Uranus rules Earthquakes. In the Washington DC Supermoon chart the Sun-Moon opposition between 18 Aries and 18 Libra are in Houses 8 and 2, respectively. In the California Supermoon charts this full moon is crossing the H4-10 angles. That might be earthquakey. It's earthquake season in Northern California, cardinal signy. The Hayward fault might wait until Saturn is in Scorpio, though. Uranus rules technology and crowds and freaky stuff as well, so it doesn't have to be bad. The illegals apparently have set up their own underground communication system to take over the earth. Maybe Obama will hire Jerry Brown to fill in or something. Anyway, Surprise!

The Full Moon lines, ie Sun and Moon will be passing thorugh Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Montana.

Saturn IC will move through Texas. For some reason there's always a Saturn line running through Texas. WTF.

By the time of the Supermoon, The big happy Grand Earth Trine between Mars in Virgo, Jupiter in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn will give way to a Grand Square between Mars in Virgo, Venus in Gemini, Neptune-Chiron in Pisces and the Nodal Axis. Oooo, Stock Market go down?

Spring Equinox 2011

Will try to read the Spring Equinox Chart for Washington, DC 2011 here. Haven't read Jude Cowell's interpretation yet, they are always excellent, and there is usually a great interpretation over at AquariusPapers.

This chart is significant because it shows heavy Aries Point influence, all of the angles are on the Aries Points. The Aries Points coincide with the Solstice and Equinox points which represent beginnings and new starts.

This Equinox will come soon after a Full Moon which, in Richard Nolle's terms, is a very potent Supermoon (on March 19) related to natural disasters, etc. I have a theory that there is increased earthquake activity when outer planets are in the Cardinal Signs. This seems to be happening right now as increased amount of earthquakes over the past year have occurred during a heavy t-square of outer planets over the Aries Points. The huge earthquake in Japan has sort of jumped the gun on natural disasters. Either way, the Total Lunar Eclipse which occurred right before the Winter Solstice

This earthquake is a bowl shaped chart contained within a signifcant opposition of planets placed on the angles over the 1st and 7th Houses. With Libra Rising the Chart is an upside down version of a natural chart which has Aries Rising. I suspect this shows a time of confusion or of being stretched to the maximum in trying to understand the other person's point of view. All the planets are placed below this opposition in the night section of the chart. This shows that people are redefining their personal self identities. How can we reinvent America? Either that, or Americans will be brought to their knees and made helpless.

The significant Jupiter-Saturn opposition which will become exact at the end of the month is said to be connected with social and political changes. Jupiter represents the Advisors and Saturn represents the Government. Oppositions can show a balancing act. The opposition is an aspect which occurs every 20 years.

Jupiter and Saturn are strong because they are placed angularly in H1 (Saturn) and H7 (Jupiter) and are both in conjunction with inner planets, Moon and Mercury. Saturn is conjunct the Moon in the 1st House. These planets rule the IC and MC angles of the chart but opposite the houses which they naturally rule. This shows conflict, or at least need for harmony, between the Public and the Leader of a country. As the IC represents Land and Water one can see that there may be a problem with Natural Disasters. Anything showing conflict between H4 issues and H10 issues will come to the fore.

The Moon-Saturn conjunction is opposing a conjunction of Mercury-Jupiter in Aries in the 7th House. This shows intense dealings in one on one relationships and open enemies. Like Moon and Saturn, Mercury and Jupiter represent opposite ends of the same pole. This pole has to do with communications, concrete and abstract thinking processes, education, neighborhoods, transportation and the media. In this chart Mercury and Jupiter rule signs which are intercepted in each others' houses. Overall, it seems that there will be a big confusion, perhaps upheaval, concerning contracts, transportation, education, and overall communication.

Since Cancer/Capricorn doesn't really blend well with Gemini/Sagittarius issues it is perhaps a good thing that this chart is so strongly ruled by peace loving Libra. Libra rules the Chart and also the Moon and Saturn.

Extremely significant in this chart, probably the first thing I notice when I look at it, is the exact conjunction of the Sun to Uranus at 1 Aries. What can I say? The Gang's all here. Sun-Uranus is in conjunction with the Descendant within a degree and are squaring the Nodal Axis. This says Revolt, Rebellion, Shock, Surprise, Innovation. Masses of people trying to change history. The Libra emphasis might show people doing this who can't lead, are vain, or who are just complaining a lot. On the 7th House this shows that the U.S. will be in relationship with others who have this attitude, or will perhaps express this attitude in its relationships with other countries. Something significant unexpected ought to occur with regards to how the U.S. reflects community. And God knows what else. Uranus and Sun, of course, describe earthquakes. There could be a rise in Divorce rates. And there might be some kind of cyber war. There could be huge breakthroughs in Technology and Innovations. Or the innovation might come in how the United States partners with other countries. It's difficult to know how the 1st house Moon-Saturn will handle this. This combination is generally emotionally restrained so it could be a good balance which will manage the wild energies in this chart. Or it could become fearful and too cautious. This chart seems to be asking for action. The first house placement might show that the management initiates the partnership.

Both Mars and Pluto in this chart are unaspected by major aspect to other planets. These planets, along with the Moon, can represent violence. Pluto is at 8 Capricorn down in the 4th House. This can show crisis in environment, family, real estate, hotels, food industry, water supply, underground infrastructure, mining. If not physically represented there might be a power play to gain control in these areas. There certainly are some buying opportunities in Real Estate right now. Hopefully there will be significant research done in understanding how to create safety in the above areas. Pluto rules the 3d House of communications, concrete thinking, transportation, neighborhoods, planning. Some great ideas might come up for new lifestyles and ways of transporting people. But, don't hold your breath. Pluto in H4 is territorial, wants control of the land, and has drainage problems. Whatever you try to flush down the toilet, whether mental, emotional or physical, may blow back up in your face along with everyone else's issues. Pluto is vengeful and resentful and jealous. With the Libra, be careful not to provoke anyone else's envy or jealousy.

Mars, God of War, is in Pisces in the 6th House. This can show tension in Civil Rights and Labor. Also Public Health issues. Mars might bring fevers and infections related to bad sanitation. Microwaves might be finally understood as a health issue. Mars rules the 7th House. Both planets in that house, Mercury and Jupiter, disposit towards him. So there will be caustic comments in those diplomatic relationships and people may become impatient with trying to express their views. Unless you're a Double Sagittarius Super Charmer you had better plan on keeping your potty mouth under control. The Labor Unions in Minnesota just lost their security to the double Scorpio Governor. He did it because he couldn't balance the budget (H8). But American workers have no safety, the citizens at least.

In the Astrolocality chart, The Sun-Uranus lines run through the East Coast very close to Washington DC. That combination seems to literally describe President Obama as he is a Leo Sun with Aquarius Rising. I don't know what he's doing over in the Partner house, though. Another Sun-Uranus lines run through the Pacific Ocean, thankfully not California, don't know if that's significant. Another Sun-Uranus line runs through middle of Africa and up through Europe, it looks like around Germany but I didn't look closer.

Venus and Neptune in this chart look interesting as far as the Arts go. They are placed in the 5th House of creativity in the sign of Aquarius. The Venus and Neptune lines run through the West Coast. Maybe Hollywood will get its Groove Back with the Glamour thing. Aquarius wants the community to participate and it could represent something to do with High Tech. This is a neurotic energy, typical of arts, but which could loosen things up a bit in order to solve problems. Venus trines the Moon in H1. Neptune makes a wide conjunction with Venus but otherwise is unaspected.

Saturn doesn't run through the U.S. in the astrolocality chart for the Equinox. The Jupiter-SAturn lines run through Latin America and China. So maybe that's where the connections will take place?

The Finance Houses look like they fall in line with this socialization thing. The H2 of Banks, Money, Self-Values is empty. Venus, natural ruler of H2, rules the chart from the 28 Libra cusp which puts the whole thing back in to how well people can negotiate and compromise. Venus is at 23 Aquarius in the 5th House. This shows innovation and creativity, especially in wide conjunction with Neptune 30 Aquarius and trining the H1Moon. Innovations in Gas, Oil, Glamour, Drugs, Escapism, Dissolving boundaries.

House 8 of Other People's money, Debt, bankruptcy, insurance, etc. is also empty. The cusp is 28 Aries so Mars rules the house. That's sort of a Cowboy aspect I think. Mars is placed in Pisces in the 6th House of Labor and Jobs. That area may become a bit fuzzy and show some losses. Or there may be rebellion from those who demand their rights. Lots of grease is going to be thrown down the drains at the fast food joints, I can promise the Health Department that.

And then the biggee comes in Education, Transportation, Media, Communication etc., both lower and upper. Gemini and Sagittarius are both intercepted in each others' houses. That might mean that they don't have good representation or that the needs in this area will finally become apparent. Rulers Mercury and Jupiter, as I said, are in conjunction with each other in Aries (sparking anything new). They are in opposition to and wishfully in relationship with the Moon-Saturn conjunction in the 1st house which they will not enjoy at all as Moon-Saturn represents stodginess, the worst possible thing for Mercury and Jupiter.

Anorexia and Birth Month

Interesting study by Dr. John Eagles finds a relationship between birth of anorexic women and their birth month. Don't have the actual figures for the study but anorexics born in Scotland between 1965 and 1997 were most likely to be born between March and June. One article I read said that March and June themselves were the most common months which hooks up with the Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. The Doctor uses the prenatal theory that some sort of Winter infection affects babies while still in the womb, the same sort of thing that is thought to maybe cause schizophrenia.

Babies born in Scotland are certainly born into a very dark climate and I don't know if these figures would be similar for Californians since most of the anorexics I've known were Scorpios and Sagittarians. I definitely equate the illness with Pluto because it is associated with control and denial and invisibility and manipulation. As I've said before I struggled with this problem for years (you're never really over it).

A couple of years ago I went to a panel discussion of people who billed themselves as experts in the field. It was sad. These people were running a clinic on the subject and were telling people that they didn't know a thing about the disease. After sitting there for the 1 1/2 hours it was really easy to see why. There were no anorexics on the panel. Two fat psychotherapists were there. One of the psychotherapists had lost her weight and was talking about psychology of being overweight. The leading psychologist was rotund and very merry, just the type of woman who make an anorexic not want to eat for the next 30 years, and this psych. was complaining about how the anorexics have such dismal, pale personalities. A male psychiatrist was there saying that the field has recovered virtually no information about the illness due to lack of funding, very Plutonian. And an actual anorexics' parents were there talking about how they learned to deal with their daughter's manipulation games. The actual anorexic was not there. As a matter of fact, nobody had anything good to say about anorexics, sort of Plutonian? Plutonians don't really talk a lot, don't draw a lot of attention to themselves.

I was wholeheartedly pissed off already. Before the talk I was sitting on a bench next to a glum fat woman who was smoking her cigarette. Another happy fat woman came over for meet n'greet and asked us why we were there. The glum fat woman sitting next to me said that she was a social worker and had to deal with the pathetic adults who grow out of anorexia and are hopeless in treatment. The happy fat woman then asked me why I was there. I admit I should have made up a lie, but, well, Cap Moon-Gemini Rising, set it direct, I said I was one of the pathetic poor souls the woman sitting next to me has to deal with all day. Hehehe, she stubbed out her smoke, didn't apologize, just stood up and walked away. So did the happy fat woman. Nobody expected an anorexic to show up for the event!!! At any rate, this whole situation made me realize how Plutonian anorexia is. People are fascinated by the disease, fat women especially. Truth is, anorexics become anorexic because they are trying to make themselves invisible and to have no needs. Two of my friends tried to compete with my weight loss but their parents intervened immediately when they started losing weight. My parents were getting divorced, going through bankruptcies, dating like rabbits, I couldn't ask for anything. I won't even go into what happened once my Mother caught on that I had a problem.

So, anyway, it would be interesting if Dr. John would re-do the figures using Californians. Between 1965 and 1997 Pluto was basically moving from mid-Virgo to early Sagittarius. Most of the subjects in the study would have had Pluto in either Libra or Scorpio.

Scorpio is Pluto's sign so it would figure that there would be a lot of anorexics born during those years.

Pluto in Libra would be square to the Solstice and Equinox Suns so there would be a lot of Sun-Pluto square kids born during those years.

Since Pluto is related to Viruses and things underground perhaps there really is a pre-natal illness involved as well. Pluto also rules research so probably if a little funding were put in that direction a whole lot of answers would pop up pretty quickly. And, of course, it wouldn't hurt to keep the fat women away from the anorexia clinics. Fat girls have enough of their own poo to work on. And, if you don't have enough common sense to realize that girls who are living off of 900 calories a day and 4 hours of exercise are going to be a little slow on the draw mentally, then you really need to go find another job anyway.
