Wow. It looked like Egypt was really going to enter the 21st Century. But, uh, we forgot about the men.

News reports now say that some women who tried to take part in the "Egypt Spring" were tortured by the police. In Egypt this means apparently that they were electrocuted and raped via "medical virginity test" to affirm that they were not "raped by the military." First they were stripped, while men watched. Then they were beaten and called prostitutes, by men. Then some were electrocuted and called prostitutes. Then they were taken into a room and a man in a white coat did a virginity exam on them, while men watched and took photos.

The Arabs didn't invent Logic. I don't know who did. I don't have much of it myself. But, hey, I know that the tech industry is extremely chauvinistic. So, when they yahoo'd themselves all over the media about how the collective conscious Internet stuff has saved the world of course they forgot to mention what it's still going to be like for women. Still same old, same old for the gals.

So, anyway, what's a good day for having an exam for forced medical examination of your uterus?

Virgins are ruled by the sign of Virgo in the astrology. There's no Virgo in this chart. But 4 planets plus Chiron (Wounded Healer) and Lilith (equal rights ex-wife) are in the opposite sign of Pisces: Chiron 2 Pisces; Mars 12 Pisces; Sun 19 Pisces; Lilith 29 Pisces; Mercury 30 Pisces; Uranus 30 Pisces. Interesting that Neptune was still in Aquarius, he wasn't in his own sign, perhaps that is why we even get to hear about this atrocity at this point.

Mercury, ruler of Virgo is in conjunction with Lilith and Uranus at 29-30 Pisces and this is squaring the Nodal Axis last degrees of Sagittarius/Gemini. Virgo is the empty leg of this t-square, and, yes, the Examiner in the White Coat says he did not find a single Virgin. Of course, with Mercury in Pisces he's most likely a lying son of a bitch, but who cares, he's a man. And Virgo is the sign related to genuine Medical Examinations which was absent from the event. This was torture.

Wow, this is amazing. I didn't even notice Venus' placement while looking at the chart. Going back I notice that she was at 10 Aquarius. She'd have been sextile Jupiter and possibly squaring the Moon (don't have a time so don't have an exact placement for the Moon). Venus in Aquarius would be involved in Rebellions. And it's a good placement for events in which women are elecrocuted for participating in big group events. I'm not sure if the typical rape indicators involving Pluto are here. I didn't look at the centaurs.

What we do know is that if any of the women involved were virgins, well, then, they're not now.

Navy kills Dolphins

The U.S. Navy slaughtered at least 3 bottle nosed dolphins during military exercises off the coast of San Diego. Two other dolphins have since been found dead. Dolphins are considered the equals of man in intelligence.

The Navy is ruled by Neptune and the Moon. Sea Animals are as well. Jail is also ruled by Neptune-Pisces, but escape artists are as well. I suppose that's why the Navy thinks that it holds no responsibility for these murders.

Neptune and Moon both in H10 (Government). Neptune is at 29 Aquarius conjunct MC at 24 Aquarius. Aquarius rules technology, waves and circulation systems.

New Moon is conjunct Mars (blasts) and chart ruler Mercury.

Aries (violence) is intercepted in H11. Jupiter is contained within that sign (excessive).

Hearing is ruled partly by Venus/Taurus. Venus in this chart is 4 Aquarius in House 9 unaspected.

Pluto is at 8 Capricorn conjunct the 8th House cusp at 7 Capricorn.

July 12, 2007 Airstrike on Baghdad / Collateral Damage Video

Bradley Manning is the information specialist responsible for copying the video of a U.S. air strike on civilians in Baghdad back in 2007. He was tattled on by a hacker named Adrian Lamo and the tape was released in part by Wikileaks earlier this year.

Manning has been kept in isolation in jail since June 2010 which is now subject for debate. I looked a bit at his chart. He has a Sagittarius Sun which is caught up in a big outer planet configuration which shows that he somehow "speaks" for his peers. He struggles very deeply with all matters relating to ethics and law and philosophy. Sun is conjunct a Saturn-Uranus conjunction which trines Jupiter in Aries. Sun is also in conjunction with Mercury. Such an emphasis on the mental planets (Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus) and Fire shows a person who is freedom loving and also very idealistic. But, people who have Saturn-Uranus conjunctions are trying to balance an ever conflicted set of mindsets, the old v. the new, what is v. what ought to be.

Nothing like a t-square transit which uses all those heavies to really bring a big event into such a natal chart's life. And that's what's happened to Manning this year. And then there's Manning's Pluto.... Pluto, Pluto, Pluto. Manning's Pluto is in Scorpio, possibly in conjunction with his Scorpio Moon. The army made a good choice in sticking this guy in intelligence, but I think they underestimated his need to win all wars against evil.

I wasn't supposed to talk about Manning. I wrote something about him a while back, it probably sucks, that just snuck up on me.

What I really wanted to look at is the chart of the actual Attack in Baghdad. I found a blog post on Wikipedia which runs through the verbal interactions between teh Helicopter pilot(s) and their commander. Apparently the pilot was not relaying honest information back to command. From the wikipedia post about the actual attack I believe that this is the timing for the attack. I only have "start" times. The video is 39 minutes long but does not include some parts of the attack. Apparently the gunner did engage in real combat with real combatants. This may account for his apparently irrational behavior, the type of behavior that Malcolm Gladwell describes in one of his books (the psychology behind what becomes police brutality, there's some chemical situation that trips on that's difficult to control).

The blog article and the comment reactions constantly describe Neptunian types of problems in this particular event. "The Fog of War" The out right lies of the gunner to the command, about killing people with cameras, shooting at photographers because mistaking their cameras for guns.

So, it's pretty interesting that this event occurred during the big Saturn-Neptune opposition. At the point that the helicopter reached New Baghdad this opposition had just passed over the ASC (Saturn-Venus in Leo) and Desc (Neptune). The Nodal Axis with North Node in Pisces was in conjunction with this Axis with North Node on the Descendant. This was squaring Jupiter in its own sign, Sagittarius, and Retrograde down in the 4th House along with Pluto (not in conjunction). Two Reuters journalists were killed in the fire. There was a coverup (Neptune) by the Government as Reuters was denied access to the video back in 2007 while they were trying to investigate the deaths.

I'm not sure what sign rules "Unarmed Civilians." I believe Helicopters would be ruled by Uranus and Uranus here is on an angle in H7 in the sign of Pisces.

It's always good to look at Mars in these situation what with him being the God of War. Mars is very weak in this chart at 13 Taurus (H9), but is also emphasized. He had no major aspects to other planets and is in minor aspects to Jupiter and Pluto in the 4th House and he is squaring Chiron in Pisces (H6). The gunner was just going "off."

And helping the gunner out with this was the Moon which rules the irrational. The Moon was way out of bounds at 28 degrees 03 minutes and was traveling fast 14 degrees 13 minutes. It was elevated in the chart and would have been passing over the Midheaven soon after arriving at the location. Interesting about the communication snafus and lies with Moon in Gemini.

Wikileaks released the video on the day that transiting Jupiter hit the spot where Uranus had been in this chart, 19 Pisces. Pisces also represents Jail and Isolation and all 3 of the key players in this exposure have spent time in jail now because of their involvement. Even the hacker who snitched on Bradley Manning was forced to spend 9 days in a Mental Hospital this year.

Supposedly Bradley Manning's health is suffering because of his extreme isolation. I suppose that he must be punished for treason in some way, but it would make me feel better if he were to be convicted before this level of torture engaged.

'Round Midnight at Camp Guantanamo

As if it's not bad enough that Camp Guantanamo is known through out the world for carrying out gruesome tortures of its prisoners. These are prisoners who were caught and never tried and have simply been held down in Cuba in cages. But, according to an article in this week's Harper's Magazine called "The Guantanamo 'Suicides'," writer Scott Horton says that within Camp Guantanamo there is a little building called "Camp No" where, out of curiosity, guards go to see if they can hear prisoners scream. There is a cell called Alpha Block where the highly suspect are held. And sometimes the guards stand in their towers at night and watch an unmarked white van called "The Paddy Wagon" transport prisoners from "Alpha Block" to "Camp No" and back. And on the night of June 9, 2006 a prison guard watched prisoners get transported to Camp No one by one. And right before Midnight the Paddy Wagon came back and went straight to the Hospital. And then all the lights in the camp went on. And then the Sargeant Major Seargent of the camp told everyone that the prisoners had committed suicide by stuffing rags down their own throats while their hands and feet were bound. Only Houdini could have done that. Then the Major Sargent Major told the press that the 3 prisoners had hung themselves. All three were due to be released within weeks. Why, after detention of 3 to 5 years would they do that?

The remains of all three were returned to their families with their throats removed. Venus was at 14 degrees Taurus that night. Taurus rules the throat. Venus was prominently placed within this chart because she was in a sign of her own rulership and because she was a singleton in Earth. How to interpret? Good day to go for the jugular.

This chart shows a conjunction of Mars to Saturn in Leo on this date. Mars = Warriors and Saturn = Authority. Mars and Saturn working together strongly represent the Military. Interesting that the story is coming out to the public during a long Mars Rx Return on that spot.

At 10:30 pm the Mars-Saturn conjunction was on the Descendant so that aptly describes a use of Military Force. At that time Jupiter was tightly conjunct the Midheaven in Scorpio and Venus was conjunct the IC to the degree. As Scorpio rules Death and Murder (and Suicide) and the IC rules end of life, pretty interesting configurations for 3 prisoners who were strangled to death. (I'm assuming that they were strangled and didn't commit suicide, that's only an assumption). This opposition was the axis of a Kite configuration including Mercury in Cancer and Uranus in Pisces.

There are signatures to show that emotions could have been out of control on this date.
The Moon was out of bounds at the end of Scorpio, 27 to 29 degrees. The Moon was also approaching Full (Gibbous).
Mercury was out of bounds in Cancer (and a singleton so not flowing with the rest of the chart, like Venus).
With both Moon (feelings) and Mercury (thinking) flailing so high in the sky there was very little room for rational thinking.
Another possible influence, this event occurred between two Eclipse Sets which showed strong Sun-Moon-Mars-Nodal Axis aspects. This is a violent combination. (Dates: Total Solar: Mar. 29, 2006 5:15 am EST (NY, NY). Partial Lunar: Sept. 7, 2006 1:42 EST NY, NY).

I don't know what rules Gagging to death, suppose it's the Venus-IC in Taurus opposing Jupiter-MC in Scorpio (murdered by authority figures).

The cover up could have occurred because at this point there were two big outer planet mutual receptions between Jupiter and Pluto and between Uranus and Neptune. Big political maneuvers that contrast against the out-of-bounds Moon and Mercury which show personal feelings and thoughts (or lack of). There were also two Grand Trines which perhaps was making the military feel lucky, like they could get away with this.

This last Grand Trine is actually a Kite with Axis Jupiter-MC in Scorpio opposing Venus-IC in Taurus. I've already discussed possible significant of these planets regarding death by strangulation. (in addition to death by force: Mars-Saturn conjunct Descendant).

I'll list the prisoners below and the birth dates given for them on Wikipedia. These dates don't match up with other dates given on Wikipedia and the ages mentioned in the article so I'll try to avoid talking about the charts. It's very interesting to see the mutual big transits of the Nodal Axes to the natal charts among other things. Two of the men died as Pluto was passing over their natal Neptunes in Sagittarius. That could certainly indicate death while being held in custody. It looks as if Al-Salami's death could have been an accident. Perhaps he was the first to go and the other two were killed because they had witnessed the event. I said I wouldn't say anything...

If the dates are accurate, it looks like this was a bad day for Earth signs at Gitmo. There was a square of Pluto 26 Sagittarius (Galactic Center) to the Nodal Axis which was on the Aries Points. (We are heading into another big one this Summer so watch out). And, as I said, this event occurred between two Eclipses which had signatures for violence through Mars (and Pluto)contact with Sun-Moon-Nodes.
