Performance Artist Protests Shark Fishing

26 year old performance artist, Alice Newstead was hung by huge fishing hooks in the window of a Cosmetics Store in London today. The hooks were pierced through her back while she posed for onlookers for 15 minutes.

This is the type of News we want to hear when Neptune, Lord of the Sea, and Chiron, Wounded Healer, are conjunct the North Node. Finally.

When Sharks are captured they are hung up on hooks alive while their fins are chopped off. They are then thrown back into the water alive to die a slow death.

I don't know exactly what indicates compassion for animals but I do know that most of the Vegans I'ves known have been Pisces and Libras so I always sort of assume that a strong Venus and Neptune are involved. Right now there is a conjunction of Mercury, Venus and Mars in Libra. The Moon was also in Libra at the time of the Performance and it was in the 12th House and trining Neptune which was conjunct the IC. All this emphasis on Venus and Neptune certainly indicates an artistic event. Interesting that this one occurred in a Beauty Shop as well (Venus & Mercury in Libra).

As is appropriate for anything having to do with Sharks, Scorpio was rising at noon. Hmm, Lunch Hour. I'm not sure when the performance actually occurred but this was the planned time. Newstead was painted blue and dressed in only a Mermaids tail. She has been pierced for other performances many times (I read 60 times somewhere) and said that this didn't hurt. Well, Neptune also rules Anesthesia and Denial...

The Protest aspects show up as well. Uranus and Pluto are squaring each other and both are Singletons (Water and Fire, respectively).

Real Social Good came out of the event. A London restaurant has declared that it will stop serving Shark Fin soup as a result of the event. The Sun is conjunct Saturn in Virgo today and trining Jupiter. This Trine was sextiling the Scorpio Ascendant from either side. Men Who Kill Their Wives' Lovers (and Wife) and Get Away With It

This is just sort of going to be a Psychotic Reverie for the Leo New Moon Eclipse. Remember I have Mercury c. Uranus in Leo so I warn you it's going to get weird.

I recently looked at a bio of the artist Thomas Eakins while rummaged the Sale bin at the Barnes & Noble. The book opened up to a two page synopsis of the life of Eadweard Muybridge who was a 19th century photographer famous for having photographed things walking. He photographed people and animals in sort of stop motion stills from multiple cameras. That's interesting but what's also interesting is that right around the time that Muybridge started this major project, he killed his wife's lover. At the murder trial he was acquitted due to reasons of insanity due to a head injury from a stagecoach crash. He put his son in an orphanage and moved either to another country or to Pennsylvania, I can't tell which, you know Wiki says one thing, the book said another. Doesn't matter. He moved away. Don't know what happened to the wife. The son was left to fend for himself and eventually was hit by a coach himself and died.

This reminded me of another story I heard like this way back when in Classical Music School. There was an Avante Garde Madrigal Composer in Italy named Carlos Gesualdo who came home to his castle one day to find his wife doing the deed with her up till then secret lover. Gesualdo murdered both of them. Or he got the servants to do it, or part of it, or whatever. And Gesualdo was immune to being tried because of his royal status. He also moved away and lived somewhere where the Madrigals were really happening and would have flourished if not wracked with guilt and apparently a bit BiPolar. He developed chromatic harmonies so advanced they weren't used again until the 19th Century. Did I talk about him before?

Wondered about the Astrology. As I am limited to looking at 4 charts at a time over at Astrodienst right now and have been really dizzy for some reason I can't really take much of a look at the charts. But the charts for the murders are really similar so I'll mention a couple of things and if interested please look at the charts. Gesualdo's birth date is questionable so this spares me from one error at least

These crimes were committed in October within a day of each other. Well, I'm sure I'm looking at a wrong Calendar situation (gregorian for Gesualdo?) but can't help but go ape face over the coincidence. Libra is the sign of Relationships. I spent much of last October looking for the Astrology of True Love and I should have been looking for the Astrology of Men who Kill Their Wives' Lovers. But, the coincidence doesn't end there. Jupiter was also in Libra both times and within 10 degree orb of conjunction with the Sun. Jupiter expands whatever it touches. Don't expect to have an affair without getting caught because the spotlight will be on you and your relationships. And it will be considered justifiable homicide.

The coincidences don't end there. Here are some more:

• Neptune conjunct North Node in both cases (Fire Signs).

• Saturn and Uranus in difficult aspect in both cases. Gesualdo was actually going through a double whammy Saturn-Uranus opposition (with Pluto squaring Uranus, this would have been more of an indicator of the unique innovations that both men were just revving up on I think)

• And, don't worry, I the best for last. Where the Arf was Mars?!!!! Mars was at 18 Virgo during Gesualdo's crime and Mars was at 20 Virgo for Muybridge's crime.

Eww, those insecure Virgo moments that everyone else forgives you for.

Wow.

And so even as weird I think is that today as I ponder this all of a sudden I think, where the Arf is Mars today? Ew, Mars is at 20 Virgo.... and Pluto is squaring Uranus ... and Neptune is conjunct the North Node ... and I wonder, which great Genius is out killing his wife's Lover right now? And then I remember, oh, Jupiter's in Capricorn. That Government Scientist guy who was going to be prosecuted for killing people with Anthrax because he wanted to try out his vaccine or something? He just killed himself so he wouldn't have to go to jail. Capricorn is so efficient.

Here are birthdates for the two gentlemen. Gesualdo's may not be correct. I seem to remember that they both had Libra Moons but as I say I'm limited on software and brainware right now. If any of this is accurate it really is an Outer Limits Moment:

Drunkest Driver Ever

34-year old Stanley Kobierowski was so drunk last night that he crashed into a message board on the highway in Providence, Rhode Island. Yeah, Stanley was drunk and he was driving and he got caught. And that's not even what this story is about. Stanley Kobierowski was so drunk he now has the Distinction of having the Highest Blood Alcohol level ever recorded in the State of Rhode Island. He logged in at 6 times the legal amount for driving. At .491 percent Blood Alcohol the alcohol in Stan's blood was only .008 percent away from being a Lethal Dose. And he got up out of the car and started walking toward the kindly Police Officers who pulled over to help him. If only that damn sign hadn't gotten in his way.

Well, for one, Rhode Island is a very small state. Those guys obviously can't hold their booze. According to www.drugrecognition.com/Alco.htm, the highest Blood Alcohol of a live person ever recorded was .74 percent. The Idiot lived to tell about that one and Stanley will walk away from this one, this time at any rate. Anything above .4 percent Blood Alcohol is considered comatose. Any behavior below that percentage is how I act every day.

Would the Event chart for Stanley's arrest show this amazing situation? Sure it does, in hindsight, at any rate.

According to an unreliable source on the Internet I found time of arrest at 12:00 am, July 22, 2008, Providence, Rhode Island. That doesn't sound right. It must have been later. What's Last Call in Rhode Island?

We'll look at it anyway and Thar she blows. The Pisces Moon was conjunct the 12th House cusp and Uranus. That's Blood, Alcohol & Jail time all wrapped up into one pretty little package. They oppose Mars and Saturn in Virgo on the 6th House cusp. That's the cops. As I said, Stanley with a near fatal Blood Alcohol level got up out of the car to, I don't know, say Hello, explain his way out of the ticket, take a leak...

But that's not all. Neptune (addiction), Chiron (wounding) and the North Node (Signage) are all still in conjunction and unaspected (by Ptolomaic aspect, there's an inconjunct between Chiron and Mercury).

Mercury does rule Cars and Highways. Mercury was in the Water Sign of Cancer just right at the bottom of the Chart. Any time after 12:00 am would have put Mercury in the 3d House. Best he got off the road before then. And, as Luck would have it, Jupiter the planet of Luck was right at the top of the Chart at the Capricorn Midheaven. Jupiter is Luck and Capricorn is Time. And when it's not your Time, it's just not your Time. And also if Stanley was born in 1974 he might have Jupiter in Pisces natally which might have been conjunct the Moon-Uranus conjunction in the 12th House. That's highly unlikely but they say that Jupiter in the 12th House is like having an Angel on your shoulder.

Mad As Hell and Not Taking It Anymore - High Price of Gas

64 year old Diane Craig went into a Gasoline Station in Danville this morning and set a fire in the Ladies Room. She returned the key, left, and another Lady went in and found the fire. The Police got a phone call at 10:00 am. By then Craig had moved on to another Gas Station and set another fire in the Ladies Room. Then the Police got a Phone Call from a Starbucks where some unknown woman had set a fire in their Ladies Room. Then the kindly Police Officers found the Lady sitting at a McDonalds with her 8 remaining Fire Starter Logs. She said she woke up this morning and decided to protest the High Price of Gas.

The Police arrested Craig for Arson and while on the way to the Jail they got into an Accident with another Car. The Driver in the other car was arrested for not driving with a License. Wow, just try to protest the high price of Gas while Mercury is in Retrograde and trining Neptune.

I haven't been able to figure out all this Inflationary Prices thing and so reading today's chart is a good way to begin my studies. I know there have been all kinds of bubbles in the economy, one after the other. Ray Merriman has related them as part of Uranus' way of transiting through a sign. Bubbles in Technology, Bubbles in Real Estate, Bubbles in Gold, Bubbles in Oil, Bubbles in Commodities. (Why is there never a Bubble in Labor Wages?) So, for one, this is just how it is. What goes Up must come Down. But before it comes Down it's got to go up and if you're on the Ground and not in the Balloon you are left out. And it always moves upward, kind of like the amount of Co2 in the air. And this is why we all feel like we've fallen down the rabbit hole most of the time.

Last year Jupiter and Pluto were in Sagittarius which is as high as you can go. And now Jupiter and Pluto are in Capricorn. Pluto is at the Aries Point in Capricorn. That's the tippy top of the chart. No place to go but down. Pluto doe sos like to prune whatever it touches. Pruning is an elegant part of the design process.

But, anyway, according to Rex Bills, Inflation is ruled by Neptune (Jupiter). So is Gasoline. So is Coffee. And, although the police don't know why Craig set fire to the Starbuck's bathroom, I do. Their coffee tastes like gasoline. Neptune. 3 bucks for a cup of coffee that tastes like gasoline and dissolved paper cup. Now that's Inflation. Set the fire, Ms. Craig.

So why this morning? Craig said she woke up and knew she needed to protest today. Apparently she bought 11 Fire Starter Logs. (Read my blog called "10 or 12" in order to understand the mystery behind that number). God knows the Ladies Rooms are always so filthy they need to be burned down.

Rex Bills says that sleeping is ruled by Neptune and Pisces. Neptune right now is conjunct the North Node so is very very prominent. Neptune rules Gasoline, Inflation and Starbucks coffees. Mercury rules "Waking from Sleep." Mercury right now is one of the two signs that it rules, Gemini, and Mercury is Retrograde and just coming out of conjunction with a New Moon. So, the Medium is the Message and the Messages here are Good.

Craig, who is said to be 64 years old, may have been born in 1944 when both Saturn and Uranus were in Gemini and so would be totally set up to rebel (Uranus) and to rebel as an older woman (Saturn touched by transiting Venus-Sun-Mercury). Retrogrades describe an extra long transit of a planet, extra time to think about things. Craig's chart along with others born around this time, are being given an extra long time to tell us what's on their minds. We need these 64 Year Old Women to Wake Up America right now. This price gouging is abusive.

Arson is all about Mars, and so is Fire. At 10:00 am Leo was ruling the Chart. Leo co-rules Fire. In the First House of the Chart, Mars was in Leo conjunct the South Node. Mars rules the Midheaven. Fire is co-ruled by Leo. Mars was in Leo. The Chart is ruled by the Sun.

Mars and the South Node are also in opposition to the North Node and Neptune (Gasoline, Inflation, Starbuck's Coffee). It would be really great if the masses, as ruled by Aquarius, would also follow along and protest. C'mon America! The Weather is great right now. Get a little sunshine. Picket and Scream. Damn Neptune conjunction, we're all asleep. Only one lone individualist speaking out, torching ladies rooms.

The Nodal Axis right now is trining a conjunction of Sun, Venus (women, money, values) and Mercury Rx (waking from sleep, not getting to finish lighting her logs, police took 3 phone calls to find her, car crash, no driver's licence, hospital, whew, whadda day).

With Moon in Cancer opposing Jupiter it makes sense that Ms. Craig was found while eating at a McDonald's. I don't know if she was trying to light a fire in McDonald's. I'm pretty certain that nothing McDonald's serves is biodegradable. I think it's only flammable once it hits your stomach.

So, Diane Craig. May your neck heal properly. Certainly nothing was wrong with your thinking before you were arrested, hope it's all ok now.
