6.1 Aftershock in Haiti

This morning Haiti had its biggest aftershock yet with a 6.1 quake. The epicenter is about 30 miles in some sort of direction away from the capital Port-au-Prince but I've set up the chart for Port-au-Prince. This is another major quake and I can only imagine how tramatizing this will be for the survivors, not to mention the rescue workers and medical teams.

The Nodal Axis is placed over the ASC/DESC Axis as in the main earthquake's chart, but it is in the opposite spot where it was during the main earthquake which occurred 8 days ago. The Main Earthquake happened slightly before 5 pm. This aftershock happened around 6 am. So, on is a sort of Sun set chart. The other is sort of a sunrise chart.

6.1 Aftershock, Haiti
Jan 20, 2010 6:03 am Port-au-Prince Haiti

Sun 24 Capricorn; Moon 27 Pisces; ASC 24 Capricorn; MC 6 Scorpio; NN 21 Capricorn

Sun has just changed signs into Aquarius. It is conjunct the ruler of the IC, Venus. Both have changed signs over the week and now disposit to Uranus. Venus rules the IC. Sun-Venus square the IC-MC. I easily overlook Venus' potential for connection with earthquakes. As ruler of an earth sign related to earthly possessions this is probably a big mistake. I also had forgotten that the Sun is often prominently placed around the ASC in charts.

The Moon, natural ruler of the IC (and ruler of an angle in this chart,Desc) is conjunct Uranus in Pisces.

Moon is also opposing Saturn. Although Saturn and Uranus are considered out of orb for an opposition right now they are connected through translation of light theory. They are placed off the angles on the H3-H9 cusps. Uranus still doesn't rule an angle here.

Saturn is squaring Pluto-Mercury.

Dispositorships still strong in this chart, especially when looking at rulers of angles.

Mars 14 Leo Rx, H7. Singleton Fire. Lead Planet of a Locomotor chart. Is unaspected by major aspect to other planets. Minor aspect to Uranus.

Can't get a grasp of the Moon's placement in any of these charts these days.

Mad As Hell and Not Taking It Anymore - High Price of Gas

64 year old Diane Craig went into a Gasoline Station in Danville this morning and set a fire in the Ladies Room. She returned the key, left, and another Lady went in and found the fire. The Police got a phone call at 10:00 am. By then Craig had moved on to another Gas Station and set another fire in the Ladies Room. Then the Police got a Phone Call from a Starbucks where some unknown woman had set a fire in their Ladies Room. Then the kindly Police Officers found the Lady sitting at a McDonalds with her 8 remaining Fire Starter Logs. She said she woke up this morning and decided to protest the High Price of Gas.

The Police arrested Craig for Arson and while on the way to the Jail they got into an Accident with another Car. The Driver in the other car was arrested for not driving with a License. Wow, just try to protest the high price of Gas while Mercury is in Retrograde and trining Neptune.

Craig is in the Hospital getting treated for a neck injury. Story is here: http://www.mercurynews.com/ci_9480607?source=most_emailed.

I haven't been able to figure out all this Inflationary Prices thing and so reading today's chart is a good way to begin my studies. I know there have been all kinds of bubbles in the economy, one after the other. Ray Merriman has related them as part of Uranus' way of transiting through a sign. Bubbles in Technology, Bubbles in Real Estate, Bubbles in Gold, Bubbles in Oil, Bubbles in Commodities. (Why is there never a Bubble in Labor Wages?) So, for one, this is just how it is. What goes Up must come Down. But before it comes Down it's got to go up and if you're on the Ground and not in the Balloon you are left out. And it always moves upward, kind of like the amount of Co2 in the air. And this is why we all feel like we've fallen down the rabbit hole most of the time.

Last year Jupiter and Pluto were in Sagittarius which is as high as you can go. And now Jupiter and Pluto are in Capricorn. Pluto is at the Aries Point in Capricorn. That's the tippy top of the chart. No place to go but down. Pluto doe sos like to prune whatever it touches. Pruning is an elegant part of the design process.

But, anyway, according to Rex Bills, Inflation is ruled by Neptune (Jupiter). So is Gasoline. So is Coffee. And, although the police don't know why Craig set fire to the Starbuck's bathroom, I do. Their coffee tastes like gasoline. Neptune. 3 bucks for a cup of coffee that tastes like gasoline and dissolved paper cup. Now that's Inflation. Set the fire, Ms. Craig.

So why this morning? Craig said she woke up and knew she needed to protest today. Apparently she bought 11 Fire Starter Logs. (Read my blog called "10 or 12" in order to understand the mystery behind that number). God knows the Ladies Rooms are always so filthy they need to be burned down.

Rex Bills says that sleeping is ruled by Neptune and Pisces. Neptune right now is conjunct the North Node so is very very prominent. Neptune rules Gasoline, Inflation and Starbucks coffees. Mercury rules "Waking from Sleep." Mercury right now is one of the two signs that it rules, Gemini, and Mercury is Retrograde and just coming out of conjunction with a New Moon. So, the Medium is the Message and the Messages here are Good.

Craig, who is said to be 64 years old, may have been born in 1944 when both Saturn and Uranus were in Gemini and so would be totally set up to rebel (Uranus) and to rebel as an older woman (Saturn touched by transiting Venus-Sun-Mercury). Retrogrades describe an extra long transit of a planet, extra time to think about things. Craig's chart along with others born around this time, are being given an extra long time to tell us what's on their minds. We need these 64 Year Old Women to Wake Up America right now. This price gouging is abusive.

So back to today's chart:

1st Phone Call to Police Regarding a Burning Bush, ehem, I mean, Bathroom (teehee)

June 5, 2008 10:00 am Danville, CA
Sun 16 Gemini; Moon 13 Cancer; ASC 10 Leo; MC 30 Aries; NN 21 Aquarius

Arson is all about Mars, and so is Fire. At 10:00 am Leo was ruling the Chart. Leo co-rules Fire. In the First House of the Chart, Mars was in Leo conjunct the South Node. Mars rules the Midheaven. Fire is co-ruled by Leo. Mars was in Leo. The Chart is ruled by the Sun.

Mars and the South Node are also in opposition to the North Node and Neptune (Gasoline, Inflation, Starbuck's Coffee). It would be really great if the masses, as ruled by Aquarius, would also follow along and protest. C'mon America! The Weather is great right now. Get a little sunshine. Picket and Scream. Damn Neptune conjunction, we're all asleep. Only one lone individualist speaking out, torching ladies rooms.

The Nodal Axis right now is trining a conjunction of Sun, Venus (women, money, values) and Mercury Rx (waking from sleep, not getting to finish lighting her logs, police took 3 phone calls to find her, car crash, no driver's licence, hospital, whew, whadda day).

With Moon in Cancer opposing Jupiter it makes sense that Ms. Craig was found while eating at a McDonald's. I don't know if she was trying to light a fire in McDonald's. I'm pretty certain that nothing McDonald's serves is biodegradable. I think it's only flammable once it hits your stomach.

So, Diane Craig. May your neck heal properly. Certainly nothing was wrong with your thinking before you were arrested, hope it's all ok now.

Eavan Boland on the New Moon

Here's a Poem about the New Moon as it relates to the Birth Process. This poem is written by one of my favorite poets, Eaven Boland. I never really understand what poems "mean" but some go straight to my heart. I heard Boland give a talk and recite some of her poems once and after about 3 of her "darts" pierced my heart I literally started bawling my head off. Embarassing. My synastry with Eavan Boland's chart is really interesting. Her Sun-Neptune conjunction is conjunct my North Node. And my Sun is conjunct her North Node.

Don't know what it means to have a New Moon with a Mercury Retrograde. I guess the birth process right now is delayed by clerical snafus? Now, that's life. But what do I know I've got Gemini Rising.

POEM: by Eavan Boland specially composed for the
National Maternity Hospital remembrance service in November 1994

Tree of Life

A tree on a moonless night
has no sap or colour.

It has no flower and no fruit.
It waits for the sun to find them.
I cannot find you
in this dark hour
dear child

wait
for dawn
to make us clear to one another.

Let the sun
inch above the rooftops.

Let love be the light that shows again
the blossom to the root.

Prince Charles at UAC 2008

The UAC conference schedules 4 lectures per day. I was there for 2 days so went to 8 lectures. Out of those at least 3 lectures gave Prince Charles' Chart as an example of someone born with serious "issues" to deal with.

I guess because I'm American I don't understand why they don't just let the guy alone. Craig Ferguson is the only person I want to hear talking about the Prince these days, just as long as Charles hasn't composted Diana's bones in his little Organic Farming hobbies. ( it's interesting that Ferguson is a Taurus with Scorpio Moon and Prince Charles has the opposite Sun-Moon combination).

Deep down, I believe that the Royal Family 86'd Diana so maybe there's a mediumistic reason why Charles' chart just won't go away.

Komilla Sutton says that according to Vedic Astrology the worst aspect one can have to one's Nodes is a Moon-Rahu (NN) conjunction. Charles has that. The Moon is afraid of Rahu and the conjunction brings fears and inner psychological demons which don't present themselves clearly in life. The second worst aspect one can have to one's Nodes is a Sun-Ketu conjunction. Charles has them in the same sign, very far out of orb. The Sun is afraid of Ketu because the Sun represents the Soul. The contact with Ketu obscures the purpose of the Soul. Ketu sort of rejects the Idealism of the Sun. Isn't this interesting considering the long wait Charles has had with being next in line to the throne?

Next there was the Dark Moon Lilith in Charles' Chart. I don't remember exactly how it's placed in his chart because I didn't write it down, but Charles is screwed here as well (literally and figuratively). Dark Moon Lilith was described by Antonia Langsdorf in a very fun, upbeat, and insightful lecture as the Girls Gone Wild placement (my words not hers). Problem is, Spring Break doesn't seem to end at the end of the week and one can be caught in behavior that one later has to make up excuses for, Soap Opera style. By the time that Langsdorf said "Do you remember the publicized taped phone conversation where Charles told Camela that he wished he could be Camela's tampon?" we all understood that these are the types of things that happen when the Dark Moon is involved. (This is not the Asteroid, the Dark Moon is a point in the sky determined by the Moon's orbit. Langsdorf says that in Europe it is now said to be at the opposite end of an axis with Priapus at the opposite end).

Okay, so that was Day 1.

2d Day, bright and early, Noel Tyl's pointing out psychological developmental problems in a person's chart. Up pops Charles' chart on the screen. The Nodal Axis is related to Mommy and Tyl says that a planet in aspect to it is auspicious. But turns out that Charles' Moon-NN conjunction is placed in a Grand Trine. Grand Trines according to Tyl's thinking present super protective defense mechanisms that can cause difficulties in relationships.

Charles also has a square between Pluto in Leo to Sun in Pluto. The interpretation for this is "there's a blanket over your hand grenade." Sounds pretty stressful.

I think this is certainly a lesson to husbands to watch out if your ex-wife goes to astrologers. We're slow to forgive. And we don't ever forget. And, also, I'd just like to say "Come on Guys. Show us a chart with a Grand Square and tell us what to do with that. Some people have real problems."

Waiting for Earthquakes

"Tectonic Time Bomb" is what the newspapers and scientists say that the Hayward Earthquake Fault is. Yes, California is due for anothing Big One on one of its many Fault Lines. The Hayward Earthquake Fault passes through the East Bay in Northern California. It rocks every 140-160 years and 2008 is the 140th anniversary of the last major earthquake. As this is a very densely populated area this is cause for big concern. I think I read that only about 5 percent of the properties are insured.

So, I immediately thought of Uranus and how Uranus must be connected to earthquakes along with Mars, Saturn and Pluto.

A big t-square is coming up between Saturn-Pluto and Uranus I figured that the USGS has finally got their Astrology right. If ever a combination of planets could indicate a time bomb it would be these 3 working together in difficult aspect. But then I looked at the list of earthquakes in California and none happened in the mid-60s when the last Saturn-Uranus-Pluto event occurred. There were also no major earthquakes on any fault-line in the early 1930s when when another major t-square between those planets happened. This was for all of California, not just the Hayward Quake. There was a big 7.3 up in Northern California on Jan 31, 1922 which happened while Pluto was in Cancer squaring Saturn and Chiron and the NN in Libra and trining Uranus in Pisces.

I read somewhere that Uranus & Pluto conjunctions happen every 140 years, the last one happened in 1965-66. This can't be true because Pluto's orbit is so elliptical, the cycle would vary according to what sign Pluto was in. I also read that Uranus and Neptune conjunctions happen about every 172 years, the last one was in 1993. Alone, Uranus' cycle is 84 years; Neptune's is 165 years and Pluto's is 248 years. I've mentioned the big Outer Planet aspects of the 4 largest earthquakes that happened on the Hayward fault in the 19th century down below. I'm not really sure how the Geologists know that the cycle is quickening from 160 years to 140 years.

One thing I noticed was that there does seem to be a predominance of outer planets in Cardinal Signs. There are some scary looking charts coming up at the end of 2010 and into 2011 where Pluto will be conjunct the North Node in Capricorn and Jupiter will be in conjunction with Uranus. Saturn will oppose Uranus off and on from Sept. of this year in mutable and then into the early Cardinal Signs. There's going to be some major t-square action Sept. 2010. Mars and Venus will be in difficult minor aspect to Uranus at the end of Sept.-beginning of October. That's Earthquake Season so maybe something to panic about. Mars and Mercury will then square Uranus at the end of November of that year. This is probably even more to worry about.

I suppose any date during these transits where Mars and the Moon are squaring either Uranus, Pluto or the Nodes is cause for concern.

Here's a link to a very nice YouTube Video presentation from freedailyhoroscope.org about the Peru Earthquake:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6ZB_Wd6ZBM

According to this video, signs to look for in upcoming earthquakes: Planets and Nodes on Angles, New or Full Moon, Many planets on one side of the chart that pulls the energy lopsided.

What I've noticed in a list of the 4 biggest earthquakes on the Hayward fault back in the 19th century are things which are indicated by time of day. This is totally useless information for trying to predict anything because these aspects happen every day. With a lot of squares they are just more likely to happen, I guess:

Uranus/Aquarius either conjunct or ruling the IC
No Out-of-Bounds Planets
Planets and Moon's Nodes on Angles.
Saturn's Angular in 3 out of 4 of the charts

Here's some rough notes. The broadest indicators are squares between Mars and Uranus and possibly the Nodes. And also interesting is the fact that there are no out-of-bounds Planets in any of these charts. That sort of surprised me. The pull on the earth is maybe stronger when the planets are down low in the sky. Saturn tends to be angular. If we want mass destruction, Pluto must be prominent. 2d House Pluto seems to bring material damage on a large scale.

I looked ahead and the aspects really do look bad, like the World is due for some shaking up. The Nodes are now in Aquarius (sign of Earthquakes). This makes things extra vulnerable when they pass over the Angles, especially the IC/MC I suppose because the IC rules the ground. This happens early in the morning in the Fall. And late in the afternoon during the Spring. I assume that Sun-up and Sun-set brings gravitational stresses. The North Node will move into Capricorn in August, 2009. This might affect the Mountain Regions, especially when it begins to hit Pluto and the big outer planet t-square in June, 2010. These events should get kind of noisy, like explosions. Maybe the conjunction of Jupiter to Uranus will make the earthquakes happen offshore. That makes for tsunamis, especially if the Moon is involved.

Eclipses: I've noticed something about the eclipses too. Hopefully I'll try to look at the actual charts of the eclipses themselves. (I'd have to print the charts out and actually concentrate in order to handle that much info so it's probably not going to happen, harhar) I've noticed that there seems to be a larger amount of eclipses during a year when there is a big earthquake. There are 4-6 eclipses per year and big Earthquake years seem to have a higher amount. Here's what I've counted (and don't count on my ability to count accurately). I don't know anything about Sun spot activity but know that predictions are supposed to bring some doozy activity in the electrical systems on earth:
  • South Hayward, 1864: 6 eclipses including no total eclipses
  • Hayward, 1968: 6 eclipses including 1 Total Solar
  • Berkeley, 1870: 6 eclipses including 2 Total Solar, 1 Total Lunar
  • East Oakland, 1889: 5 eclipses in 1888, 5 eclipses in 1889, 5 eclipses in 1890
  • 2008: 4 eclipses
  • 2009: 6 eclipses
  • 2010: 4 eclipses
  • 2011: 6 eclipses
  • 2012: 4 eclipses

As far as pinning down dates, it's a long tedious project. I need to find software that just lists aspects rather than playing with the animation feature. I've noticed that the Fall looks vulnerable from here on up to 2010. The end of June also shows a lot of stress in the next few years.

  • end of June 2008: Mars conjunct Saturn & SN with Uranus unaspect. Tense, but probably not bad enough.
  • Middle Oct. 2008: Saturn in Virgo opposite Uranus in Pisces trining Mars in Scorpio. Mars square NN Aquarius conjunct Neptune-Chiron
  • Feb. 23, 2009: 7 planets in Aquarius. All planets in one tight bundle with SAturn in Virgo as Handle opposing Uranus in Pisces.
  • June 23, 2009 Sun in Cancer opposite Pluto squaring Uranus. Mars 17 Taurus c. Venus 18 Taurus inc. Pluto and trining Saturn in Virgo.
  • Aug. 21-23, 2009. North Node moves into Capricorn. T-square apex Mars 29 Gemini squaring Uranus in Pisces opposite Mercury-Saturn in Virgo. Mars opposite Pluto.
  • Aug. 29, 2009. Moon c. Pluto opposite Mars in Cancer squaring Saturn opposite Uranus.
  • Beginning Oct. 7, 2009: Mars in Cancer conjunct SN. Plus the Pluto-Uranus-Saturn mess.
  • Apr., 2010 Jupiter conjunct Uranus opposite Saturn.
  • June 25, 2010. Grand Square. Saturn in Virgo opposite Jupiter-Uranus squaring Pluto-NN opposite Sun-Mercury.
  • Sept. 30, 2010. Mars-Venus in Scorpio inc. Jupiter-Uranus in Pisces. Pluto-NN in Capricorn squaring Jupiter squaring Sun-Saturn in Libra.
  • 2011. Pluto conjunct NN square Jupiter-Uranus in Pisces at the beginning of the year.
  • NN moves into Sagittarius in March
  • April. 1: Mars in Pisces conjunct Uranus 2 Aries squaring NN 27 Sagittarius
  • April 7: Pluto squares Mars-Uranus in Aries. Sun conjunct Jupiter opposite Saturn.
  • April 11: t-square with apex Pluto squaring SAturn opposite Mars-Uranus.
  • April through May and beginning of June are ugly as Hell.
  • Oct. Uranus in Aries squaring Pluto in Capricorn. Maybe it won't even matter any more if something happens.

Your First Trines + Nodal Cycle

On my Trine Quest I decided to ferret out the ages we are when we go through our first Trine (applying). That is, the approximate age that we are when an Outer Planet trines our natal Planet. I just wanted to have a chart to visualize how these planetary energies fan out in our lives as they do in the sky.

The Trine is hopefully a time when we can capitalize on the talents that were presented at the first Sextile and the Challenges that we had to work through when presented with our First Square. As Retrogrades and oddball orbs shorten and lengthen each individual's personal cycle the Ages are approximate. Jupiter and Saturn, of course, represent how our Age Group handles the energy. The Outer Planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto represent how our Generation handles those energies. And, of course, everyone's got their individualized software of each planet spelled out according to their birth chart.

One interesting coincidence I've found is that the Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus trines correspond approximately with the Nodal Cycle. It seems that the trines could come in handy for balancing out the difficult transits of the Nodal Cycle. God works in mysterious ways. I've added Nodal Cycles in parentheses.

1st Jupiter Trine: slightly less than Age 4 (1st Nodal Square)

1st Saturn Trine
: around Age 9 (1st Nodal Opposition/Inversion)

1st Uranus Trine
: around Age 28 (2d Nodal Opposition/Inversion plus 1st Progressed Moon Return and 1st Tertiary Sun Return!! -- what can I say? Uranus likes a crowd)

1st Neptune Trine:
around Age 54.7

1st Pluto Trine:
very irregular. People who are Middle Age now have experienced Pluto transits much sooner than their parents and grandparents. This comes before the Neptune Trine now but I think it happened very close to the Neptune trine for earlier generations with Pluto in Gemini and Cancer.

Catch-22

Yesterday while sitting in a cafe I started thinking about "Catch-22s." No-win situations where you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. Something about sitting in coffee houses watching guys with pony tails and berets pounding away on computers that makes you revert back to college ponderings. And I guess it must be Mars tripping through my 12th house. Mars in Taurus sure has me looking up a lot of Taurus Sun charts recently. That sign just really fascinates me right now.

At any rate I wanted to find a couple of symbolic charts in order to maybe figure out a way to backtrack through and see if the configuration of Yods has anything to do with Catch-22s. Yods are triangle shapes made up of a sextile between two planets that are both connected to another planet through inconjunct aspects. Inconjuncts connect two planets that have nothing in common through element or modality. As such they irritate each other and never find a common or easy resolution for their expression. Sometimes they can lead their owners to resolve very difficult complicated issues which is maybe why they can be called "Fingers of God." Sounds like good Catch 22 fertilizer to me. On the other hand, one could look at a plain old Opposition aspects which acts as a Balancing Act between two planets in a chart. Or one could look at a chart with a lot of Gemini or Pisces or Libra emphasis, double signs which are known for indecision or scattered energy or double talk or vague ideas or too many ideas or, you know how you're feeling right now as you read this sentence, oh yeah, nobody's reading this sentence because nobody's reading this damn blog. Yeah, you know, THAT kind of energy. Bureaucracy, according to Rex Bills, is ruled by Jupiter___.

I haven't read the Joseph Heller book which coined the Catch-22 phrase but decided to look it up on Wikipedia and there you go, Joseph Heller had a Yod. He was a Taurus Sun born May 1, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY. Interesting about his chart is that his outer planets are all in aspect to each other which connects through Uranus (Age of Aquarius thinking). His Yod has Uranus in Pisces at its apex. Uranus is inconjunct on either side to Saturn in Libra and Neptune in Leo. Libra and Pisces are well represented in this Yod. The Gemini element is missing but, hey, Heller had an unaspected Mercury at 1 Gemini. He was the "messenger." As these are all slower moving, generational planets, Heller spoke to a whole group of people who hooked into this Yod energy.

Catch-22 was published in 1960 and became very popular during the Vietnam War as the perfect satire for the "circular logic" (Wiki article) of Bureaucracy. That was a War that couldn't be won. Interesting that with Uranus in Pisces once again we are stuck in another War that can't be won. Both times Uranus is conjunct the Nodes. Heller's was conjunct Pisces South Node. This last year Uranus has been conjunct the North Node.

Heller's Uranus links his Yod to the Grand Water Trine of the rest of the Outer Planets. It is trine Jupiter Retrograde in Scorpio and Pluto in Cancer. He was able to write one of the main books of his generation that held an extreme sensitivity (Grand Water Trine) to situations that never quite resolve (Yod).

I briefly spoke about Heller's Mercury in Gemini. What gets extra interesting is his Taurus Sun. He coined a phrase for his generation. The vision was very clear for him because all the outer planets were in such strong configuration in his chart. This hooks into my earlier blog (The Spiritual Side of Taurus) about Taurus being able to give an idea form especially through naming. And that Gemini Mercury helps a whole boat load as well.

The story doesn't end here, hehe.

At the end of the Wikipedia Article on "Catch 22" there's a list of earlier phrases on the same subject. "Hobson's Choice" was coined by Joseph Addison in an article published Oct. 14, 1712. Read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hobson's_choice. It's names the idea of a offering a choice that isn't really a choice at all. By interesting coincidence, Joseph Addison was born May 1, 1672 Wiltshire, England, same birthday as Joseph Heller. He also had Uranus 18 Pisces conjunct North Node at 14 Pisces!!!!!!

I wonder what great things the little kids born just this last May will write about the messes that are being handed down to them.

There are a couple of other even earlier phrases "Morton's Fork" and "Boridan's Ass" whose creators', or "coiners", birthdates aren't available. Is this idea of "Coining a phrase" a Taurus idea or what?

Return of the Lost Wallet

I mentioned once before that I suspected that the conjunction of Uranus-North Node in Pisces had something to do with a Boomerang effect. Several Missing Children have been either found or have escaped their captors during the last few months.

Here's another story that seems related: http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-05-02-stolen-wallet_N.htm.

It's about an 18 year old Sailor named Val Gregoire who had spend the day on leave visiting with his then girlfriend in Boston. After seeing her and her Mother off, he was hit on the back of the head and when he awoke both his pants and his wallet were gone. He went ahead and married his girlfriend and was married to her for almost 50 years before he passed away. So now, 56 years later, a demolition worker was taking down one of the walls of a theater in Boston and found the wallet. His wife noticed that a ticket in it was stamped with the exact same day (different year) as the date that her husband had found it. She located his widow and sent the wallet back to her.

Wallets (per Rex Bills Rulership Book): Jupiter, Venus, Taurus, Saturn
Theft: Mars (7 Mercury 12)
Sailors: Moon, Cancer (Neptune, Pisces)
Trousers, lol: (Saturn)
Boomerangs: Uranus

And so, date of mugging: Apr. 11, 1951 Boston, MA, late in the day to early evening. A 7pm mugging puts Mars in Taurus right on the Descendant. Muggers, take note, that's an excellent aspect to have for a mugging.

Date wallet was found: Apr. 11, 2007 Boston, MA. This gives both a Nodal Return (by 3 degrees) in Pisces and a Venus Return in Taurus (Wallets) and, of course, a Solar Return in Aries. Gregoire, age 18 at the time, may have been going through a Nodal Return himself.

The Node in the Transiting chart (16 Pisces) is remarkable for the conjunction from Uranus (17 Pisces) (surprising and unexpected events, boomerangs, etc.). It is squared by Jupiter in Sagittarius (Justice, Wallets, and friggin Good Luck).

The Node (19 Pisces) in the Natal Chart is apex of a Yod. It is inconjunct Pluto at 18 Leo on one leg and Neptune at 19 Libra on the other Leg. Transiting Saturn is now in Leo (Theaters) and is conjunct Pluto by a degree and is trining the Sun in both charts (since it's a Solar Return chart). Saturn conjunct Pluto is the ultimate transit for tearing down walls and doing demolition. Neptune in Libra, well, my opinion of that aspect is that it just allows the Universe to shine down on us.

Oh, and I suppose the stolen pants (Saturn?) were thrown into the rag bag years ago.

Hell's Bells

The Oakland Chapter of the Hell's Angels is celebrating their 50th Birthday this Week-end. Chiron Return. Wonder if a Chiron Return conjunct Neptune in Aquarius mellows a bunch of old outlaw bikers... Don't answer. Hey, it's all about the beer and the music and the revving of the engines.

The Hell's Angels is said to have been founded in 1948 in Fontana, California. The Oakland Chapter claims to have been started on April 1, 1957 by Ralph Sonny Berger. There's a picture of a plaque somewhere in Oakland that I saw on the Internet. Nice plaque.

So, 1948, no specific date. Fontana has a speedway of some sort. It's down in Southern California out in San Bernardino very close no doubt to the spot where the Ku Klux Klan was formed. Al Capone owned a house there. 1948 seems to have started off with lots of outer planets in air and fire which moved into Earth toward the end of the year. Jupiter was in Sagittarius for most of that year so Hell's Angels is going through a Jupiter Return. Saturn & Pluto in Leo and then Saturn moved into early Virgo. Uranus in Gemini. Neptune in Libra. The North Node was in Taurus.

The Oakland Chapter of the Hell's Angels
April 1, 1957 Oakland

Sun 12 Aries; Moon either in Aries or Taurus; North Node 21 Scorpio

This is as cliche as it gets in astro terms.

6 or 7 planets in Fire.
Sun c. Venus. Mercury Aries.
Mars singleton Air in Gemini opposite Saturn in Sagittarius.
Jupiter singleton Earth in Virgo
Neptune singleton Water in Scorpio
Uranus 3 Leo squaring Neptune

The leader of the Oakland Group was notorious as well he ought to be. He sort of mended his ways after a 10 year visit to jail. Wrote an autobiography, wrote some fiction and agreed to lend his name to a brand of beer.

Ralph "Sonny" Berger
b. Oct. 8, 1938 Modesto, CA

Sun 15 Libra; Moon probably in Aries; North Node 19 Scorpio

You will notice that he became the Leader of Hell's Angels on his Nodal Return.

Sun c. Mercury opposite Saturn 15 Aries (and maybe Moon)
Uranus 18 Taurus conjunct South Node Taurus trine Mars 20 Virgo conjunct Neptune 22 Virgo.
Jupiter Aquarius square Uranus Taurus and inconjunct Neptune in Virgo, square Venus in Scorpio

The thing about this week-end's anniversary, which is attracting hoards of Mr. Police Officers as well it ought, is that it shares a Nodal Return with an infamous Hell's Angels event held in 1969. The Group was "hired" for something called the Altamont Free Concert to provide Security. This was a huge Rock Concert and the Angels were offered free beer to guard the musicians. They ended up killing a member of the audience when people starting messing with their bikes.

The Dec. 6, 1969 event happened when the T. Sun was conjunct the group's Saturn. You can see from their natal Saturns the oppositions to said planet, i.e. problems with authority figures and others who don't do as they say. The North Node was at 18 Pisces squaring their n. Saturn-Mars opposition and trining their natal NN position. This really made those issues with authority figures stand right out in the open. Hopefully, they've had some therapy by now about these issues because there is going to be a repeat of some of the key transits. In 1969, t.Pluto was c. the group's Jupiter, there would have been a Moon-Jupiter conjunction that day on top of the natal Neptune. That's great for everything in the world pertaining to Music except imbibing huge quantities of alcoholic beverages and mind-altering substances of any nature.

This year's event, a 3 day extravaganza has a Chiron Return conjunct Neptune. T. Jupiter will conjunct the n. Saturn. (Why can't they just consult an astrologer?) The Moon this week-end will conjunct Jupiter which suggests over-indulgence. The Moon will also pass over the South Node. Which means that it will be opposite the North Node which is at 17 Pisces conjunct Uranus and Mercury. Once again it will be squaring the Saturn-Mars opposition. That will bring out the adolescent aspirations in any guy but transiting Mars will be opposing the group's Pluto.

Anyway, they'll probably just share Lipitor stories and take off to their weekly Dialysis appointments after the event.

Boys' Toys

I just picked up what looked like a wonderful Biography at a Library book sale about Leo Szilard. Well, the Librarian said it had been placed there by mistake and asked for it back, so I didn't actually read it. Szilard sounds like a really interesting guy.. He was a Hungarian born physicist who had an incredible gift for forecasting Political Events. He predicted WWI and WWII and that Germany was working on Atomic Warfare. He was also one of the Designers of the 1st Nuclear Bomb. He and Einstein together wrote a letter to Roosevelt in 1939 warning that the Germans were building an Atomic Bomb. He predicted the Cold War; but he wasn't able to predict that the U.S. would turn around and use the bomb on the Japanese.

I don't know much about what happened except that many of the Scientists who developed Nuclear theories that led up to creating The Bomb deeply regretted its uses in War; the Librarian took the book away from me after all. I did manage to write down the four names mentioned in the book as being the big creators of "The Bomb." And Szilard and Einstein were actually against what was going on at Los Alamos.

As I understand it (corrections for incorrect information appreciated):

Albert Einstein

b. March 14, 1879 11:30am Ulm, Germany

created the concept of Nuclear Chain Reactions

Leo Szilard
b. Feb.11, 1898 Budapest, Hungary

and Enrico Fermi
b. Sept. 29, 1901 7pm Rome, Italy

designed the 1st nuclear reactor.

Robert Oppenheimer
b. Apr. 22, 1904 8:15am New York, NY

managed Los Alamos where the Bomb was built.

All four expressed regrets about what they had done. This Contrarian part of Human Nature is so amazing. Here were the most intelligent people on earth, considered humanitarian and cultured to the highest degree, yet they were the creators of the most destructive warfare on earth.

I looked at their charts to see if Mars was doing something interesting. Mars rules Aggression. We all have one, we need this energy to survive, but I was wondering if anything would show up that showed that these sensitive, intelligent men were somehow bound to a Fate that was so far from their Natures. Powee! (Mars lingo) Mars c. North Node in Einstein, Szilard, and Fermi's charts! No matter how brilliant these men were, that Mars energy took off with their lives.

Boys will be boys.

Oppenheimer's Mars in Taurus was connected to his North Node through a minor aspect (Bi-Quintile, keyword: Observation?) but was unaspected to any other planet so it held a volatile position. What is exceptional is how Neptune and Pluto hang above and below his ASC and square his Nodes.

Story goes on.

The "Father of Nuclear Chemistry", Otto Hahn, had an almost similar Node Mars connection as Einstein and Szilard. He and Einstein were born within a week of each other so both had North Node at 2 Aquarius. Einstein's Mars was at 27 Capricorn. Hahn's Mars was at 23 Capricorn. Szilard had the conjunction over the cusp in the opposite direction. North Node at 27 Capricorn conjunct Mercury and Mars at 0 Aquarius. That Mercury sure does give a clue to Szilard's incredible intuitive skills. Rex Bills gives Uranus and Mars to rulership of Bombs, with Pluto ruling Atomic Bombs so it's pretty fascinating to see these connections between Mars and Uranus (and Saturn) in these charts.

Otto Hahn received the Nobel Prize for his work. Apparently many people think that he should have shared the Prize with his work partner of 30 years, Lise Meitner (b. Nov. 17, 1878 Vienna, Austria). Lise's Jupiter was conjunct her Aquarius North Node and squaring an opposition of Chiron-Neptune opposite Mars in Scorpio. When asked if she would work for the Manhattan Project, Meitner said: "I will have nothing to do with a bomb." Go Venus! Her Mars is actually more Volatile than any of the mens' Mars! It is certainly interesting to see how the energy is diffused in women. Her Venus is conjunct Sun in Scorpio in Meitner's chart and opposite Pluto in Taurus so we can see the power struggle with Otto Hahn here.

Missing Children - The Boomerang Effect

Pisces is the sign of Wandering and getting Lost. Uranus conjunct Pisces North Node right now is bringing up some odd, miraculous stories of the return of lost children. In Missouri a young boy was abducted and police, following a lead given about his abductors white truck, found not only this young boy, but another boy who had been abducted more than 4 years previously. I was wondering what could cause this Boomerang effect so I looked up "Boomerang" in my Rex Bills Rulership Book. Lo! Behold! Uranus rules Boomerangs! In Pisces conjunct the North Node it is literally returning lost children to their parents! The Saturn/Neptune opposition and recent Pluto square to the Nodes and Mars-Pluto-Galactic Center conjunction on January 13 also may have had a weakening effect on any restraints which may have been holding the kids.

There's a story in the news this week about a woman in Cambodia who was caught stealing rice on January 13. She was caught sneaking onto a man's property, naked and hunched over, walking like a monkey. She doesn't speak except through sign language patting her stomach to tell people she's hungry. A Man and his Son have both identified her as their Daughter/Sister, Rochom P'ngieng, who wandered off while hunting Water Buffalo in 1988 when she was 8 years old. For 19 years she was missing, living in the jungle, maybe even held captive from the looks of the rope burns around her wrists.

19 years indicates the Nodal Return. The North Node was in Pisces in 1988 and it has now returned to that spot and is conjunct Uranus. If she really is Rochom P'ngieng, she is realizing the Return of her Progressed Moon to its natal spot.

And also, Pisces rules Water and large animals like Buffalo.

Fashion's "Triumvirate"

Audrey, Jackie and Grace. Michael Kors calls them the "Triumvirate" of the Fashion World. An Associated Press Article by Samantha Critchell claims that their beauty will probably never be matched.

I decided to look up their charts to perhaps check out their Ascendants and Venuses and got distracted by the fact that they were all born in 1929. This started to look like an outer planet phenomenon. So, 1929. Bad year for finances, good year for birthing Helen of Troy.

Audrey Hepburn b. May 4, 1929 3:00 am Ixelles, Belgium

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis b. July 28, 1929 2:30 pm Southampton, NY

Grace Kelly b. Nov. 12, 1929 5:31 am Philadelphia, PA

All Three had Sun in a Fixed Sign: Audrey: Taurus, Jackie: Leo, Grace: Scorpio

All Three had Ascendants in a Fixed Sign: Audrey: Aquarius, Jackie: Scorpio, Grace: Scorpio

As for their Moons, these even have similarities: Audrey had Moon in Pisces in H1; Grace had Moon in Pisces in H5; Jackie had Moon in Aries in H5.

I figure I need instead to look at the outer planet transits during 1929. Perhaps this planetary combination could be repeated and repeated and repeated in Laboratory Experiments. It seems maybe there was an excellent formula going down.

The North Node was traveling through Taurus in 1929. Taurus, of course, is a Fixed Sign and it's ruled by Venus the planet of feminine beauty. Both Jackie and Grace had NN conjunct Chiron. Audrey had a stellium in Taurus. Jupiter and Sun conjunct NN with Sun conjunct Chiron. Venus rules both Beauty and Money. What's good for the Fashion World is not always good for the Financial World apparently. But it is interesting that the Market peeked out out this time and wasn't matched in value until the mid-1940's.

Also, during this year there was a square between Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Cancer that both Audrey and Jackie had, it had moved out of orb by the time Grace was born in November. But these two planets ruled all three of the women's Charts. Uranus and Pluto would have passed over their Neptunes during the late 50's, early to mid 60's when they achieved their fame and Neptune is set very prominently in their charts. Pluto, Uranus and even Jupiter later went into conjunction in Virgo in the later 60's. Virgo is the sign of the Virgin and also seems to account for the simple, understated elegance of these women. (The Hippies of this time all mostly had both Pluto and Uranus in Leo and were expressing the Virgo energy in the exact opposite way, a reaction against all tradition.)

In addition to the Fixed Emphasis (stability, unchanging), Neptune seems to have really sealed the deal for them. It passed from Leo to Virgo during 1929 so it was at 29 Leo when Audrey was born and in early Virgo when both Jackie and Grace were born. Neptune was placed Angular in all 3 of the Women's charts, in H10 for Jackie and Grace and on the Descendant of Audrey's chart. Neptune rules Glamour, elusiveness, and also Film.

As for their Venus aspects, all three have Venus in aspect to Saturn which may account for the Timeless quality of their appearance. Refined, elegant, serious.

Audrey: Venus in Aries, H1, square Pluto and Mars in H5; Trine Saturn.

Jackie: Venus in Gemini, H8, sextile Moon, square Mars, opposite Saturn

Grace: Venus in Libra, H12, conjunct ASC, sextile Saturn.
