A Rose Is A Rose Is A Rose

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Having no Objects of my Affection to beat up on today thought I would seek out the Spirit in some of the charts of what are said to be the Writers of the Greatest Love Poems of all time. Sounds Venus is Virgo-y, doesn't it?

Here's a list of the inner planets of some of what might be considered the Greatest Cyranos of all time. It's from a forum called: www.online-literature.com/forums/shorthread.php?t-909

In Astrology Leo rules Romance, Libra rules Partnership and Marriage and Scorpio, hehe, rules Sex. Someone should add Pisces there, but you didn't hear that from me. And someone could also mention that Gemini and Sagittarius are the Greatest Cads and Cads are the ones who write the words. And, trust me, Gemini/Sadge on the ASC/DESC, we don't have permanence on our agenda in the Romance World. (Didn't include it but the Ascendants of a whole lot of the people on the following list had either Gemini or Sagittarius Rising).

Water Signs rule feelings and Fire rules Passion. I would expect Poetry itself to come from Air. Earth? Well, Love isn't about keeping one's feet on the ground, is it? Looks like the Capricorns need to represent here a little bit more. But that's ok because they are the best kissers.

No one mentioned Shakespeare or Petrarch, kinda weird, must have mostly been the Pluto in Virgo and Leo generations who commented, we're sort of like the Cyclops sometimes. These were personal favorites listed on a forum. Didn't want to consult with Scholars on the topic of Love.

Andrew Marvell: Aries Sun, Cancer Moon, Aries Mercury, Pisces Venus, Scorpio Mars

Dante: Gemini Sun, Sagittarius Moon, Mercury in Taurus, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Leo

John Donne: No birth date

Sir Thomas Moore: Aquarius Sun, Aries Moon, Mercury in Aquarius, Venus in Aries, Mars in Libra

Elizabeth Barrett Browning: Pisces Sun, Libra Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars in Pisces

Robert Browning: Taurus Sun, Aries Moon, Mercury in Taurus, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Gemini

Emily Dickinson: Sagittarius Sun, Libra Moon, Mercury in Sagittarius, Venus in Sagittarius, Mars in Aries

e.e.cummings: Libra Sun, Aries Moon, Mercury in Scorpio, Venus in Libra, Mars in Aries

Wislawa Szymbovska: Cancer Sun, Aquarius or Pisces Moon, Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Gemini, Mars in Cancer

*****

Pablo Neruda isn't on the list but he's one of my favorites. Figures since I'm a Cancer Sun. Neruda had all the inner planets in Cancer! Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars. That's some sweet meat trapped under one tough shell, let me tell ya.

*****

Last but not least, I finally had to check out Gertrude Stein's astrology. Her line is the one I've quoted in the title of this post.

Gertrude Stein: Aquarius Sun, Virgo Moon, Mercury in Aquarius, Venus in Aquarius, Mars in Pisces

The line is from a poem called "Sacred Emily" which I can't make heads or tails of. Found this on Wikipedia about what Stein said of her line, awesome:
As the quote diffused through her own writing, and the culture at large, Stein once remarked "Now listen! I’m a fool. I know that in daily life we don’t go around saying 'is a … is a … is a …' Yes, I’m no fool; but I think that in that line the rose is red for the first time in English poetry for a hundred years." Men Who Kill Their Wives' Lovers (and Wife) and Get Away With It

This is just sort of going to be a Psychotic Reverie for the Leo New Moon Eclipse. Remember I have Mercury c. Uranus in Leo so I warn you it's going to get weird.

I recently looked at a bio of the artist Thomas Eakins while rummaged the Sale bin at the Barnes & Noble. The book opened up to a two page synopsis of the life of Eadweard Muybridge who was a 19th century photographer famous for having photographed things walking. He photographed people and animals in sort of stop motion stills from multiple cameras. That's interesting but what's also interesting is that right around the time that Muybridge started this major project, he killed his wife's lover. At the murder trial he was acquitted due to reasons of insanity due to a head injury from a stagecoach crash. He put his son in an orphanage and moved either to another country or to Pennsylvania, I can't tell which, you know Wiki says one thing, the book said another. Doesn't matter. He moved away. Don't know what happened to the wife. The son was left to fend for himself and eventually was hit by a coach himself and died.

This reminded me of another story I heard like this way back when in Classical Music School. There was an Avante Garde Madrigal Composer in Italy named Carlos Gesualdo who came home to his castle one day to find his wife doing the deed with her up till then secret lover. Gesualdo murdered both of them. Or he got the servants to do it, or part of it, or whatever. And Gesualdo was immune to being tried because of his royal status. He also moved away and lived somewhere where the Madrigals were really happening and would have flourished if not wracked with guilt and apparently a bit BiPolar. He developed chromatic harmonies so advanced they weren't used again until the 19th Century. Did I talk about him before?

Wondered about the Astrology. As I am limited to looking at 4 charts at a time over at Astrodienst right now and have been really dizzy for some reason I can't really take much of a look at the charts. But the charts for the murders are really similar so I'll mention a couple of things and if interested please look at the charts. Gesualdo's birth date is questionable so this spares me from one error at least

Carlos Gesualdo kills his Wife's Lover (and his Wife)
Oct. 16, 1590 Naples, Italy

Sun 23 Libra; NN 1 Leo;

Eadward Muybridge kills his Wife's Lover
Oct. 17, 1874 San Francisco, CA

Sun 25 Libra; NN 27 Aries; Moon Capricorn

These crimes were committed in October within a day of each other. Well, I'm sure I'm looking at a wrong Calendar situation (gregorian for Gesualdo?) but can't help but go ape face over the coincidence. Libra is the sign of Relationships. I spent much of last October looking for the Astrology of True Love and I should have been looking for the Astrology of Men who Kill Their Wives' Lovers. But, the coincidence doesn't end there. Jupiter was also in Libra both times and within 10 degree orb of conjunction with the Sun. Jupiter expands whatever it touches. Don't expect to have an affair without getting caught because the spotlight will be on you and your relationships. And it will be considered justifiable homicide.

The coincidences don't end there. Here are some more:

  • Neptune conjunct North Node in both cases (Fire Signs).
  • Saturn and Uranus in difficult aspect in both cases. Gesualdo was actually going through a double whammy Saturn-Uranus opposition (with Pluto squaring Uranus, this would have been more of an indicator of the unique innovations that both men were just revving up on I think)
  • And, don't worry, I the best for last. Where the Arf was Mars?!!!! Mars was at 18 Virgo during Gesualdo's crime and Mars was at 20 Virgo for Muybridge's crime.
Eww, those insecure Virgo moments that everyone else forgives you for.

Wow.

And so even as weird I think is that today as I ponder this all of a sudden I think, where the Arf is Mars today? Ew, Mars is at 20 Virgo.... and Pluto is squaring Uranus ... and Neptune is conjunct the North Node ... and I wonder, which great Genius is out killing his wife's Lover right now? And then I remember, oh, Jupiter's in Capricorn. That Government Scientist guy who was going to be prosecuted for killing people with Anthrax because he wanted to try out his vaccine or something? He just killed himself so he wouldn't have to go to jail. Capricorn is so efficient.

Here are birthdates for the two gentlemen. Gesualdo's may not be correct. I seem to remember that they both had Libra Moons but as I say I'm limited on software and brainware right now. If any of this is accurate it really is an Outer Limits Moment:

Carlos Gesualdo

The D.C. Madam

The D.C. Madam, Deborah Palfrey, hanged herself at her Mother's house in Flordia yesterday. She had been convicted of racketeering and money laundering after running a call girl business in Washington, DC for 13 years without a hitch. Here is a link to an interview with her taken by Susie Bright: http://www.10zenmonkeys.com/2007/08/27/the-dc-madam-speaks/.

Deborah Palfrey, alias D.C. Madam

b. Mar. 18, 1956 North Charleroi, PA

Sun 29 Pisces; Moon Gemini; NN 11 Sagittarius

Palfrey had attended Law School for a while and then had dropped out. She started working as a Prostitute while living in San Diego. She was arrested in 1990 and spent 18 months in Jail. When she got out of Jail she started her own business in Washington, DC and eventually ran it from her home in Vallejo, California. She says in the interview mentioned above that the Government had begun following her in March, 2003. The Saturn-Pluto opposition was just separating from off her Nodal Axis which squares natal Mercury in Pisces (spies, paranoia, government, reality).

Palfrey shut down her business in August, 2006 and was preparing to sell her home and move to Germany. She obviously knew something was up. The Government used a wire transfer made on Sept. 28, 2006 as an excuse to send some agents in undercover as potential buyers for her house in order to search her house without a warrant. They confiscated papers and froze her assets.

This all made me want to look at Palfrey's Mercury. It's not Retrograde but it's under stress in every other way. It's placed in its Fall in Pisces and is squaring her Nodes; NN 11 Sagittarius, SN 11 Gemini.

It's interesting that when the Government finally moved in, her transiting Mercury was passing over her natal Neptune in Libra. They caught her in her blind-spot. They literally sent in Postal Agents (Mercury) to do the sting and they did it without legal permission.

There are some very big transits going on in at this time which would have played a part. First is that Saturn was passing over Palfrey's natal Jupiter-Pluto conjunction in Leo. Saturn will catch you at everything you do that's not on the up and up. At this point Saturn was opposed by t. Neptune and squared by Jupiter in Scorpio so was predicting a big event of some sort.

Also, Palfrey was entering into her Chiron Return in Aquarius. Chiron's big stand out aspect natally is a square to Venus. Palfrey perhaps had a Victim mentality/wounding around men?

Venus and Mars are both well aspected in Palfrey's chart. Mars is in Capricorn in Exhaltation. Venus is in its own sign of Taurus and they are trining each other. This seems like a good business person, especially one who is involved in the business of love.

Venus is also the final dispositor of Palfrey's chart. Rex Bills says that Prostitution is ruled by Pluto (H12, Pisces, Mars). Venus isn't mentioned. Interesting. Natally she has no out-of-bounds planets but Palfrey's progressed Venus was out-of-bounds at 27 degrees, 28' as she was caught. It was placed at 1 Cancer right on the Aries Point and was in difficult minor aspect to both p.Mars and p. Saturn. The day of the Wire transfer it was conjunct the transiting Virgo South Node within a degree and was squaring a conjunction of the Moon to Pluto.

Deborah Palfrey said she would commit Suicide before going to Prison and she wasn't kidding. Pisces don't kid about these things. Especially the Pisces whose Suns are apexes to Yods binding a Neptune-Pluto sextile. Her Death was on May 1, 2008 in Tarpon Springs, FL. It was almost her Venus Return with a conjunction of Sun to Venus in Taurus. Transiting Mars was at 26 Cancer conjunct Palfrey's natal Uranus at 29 Cancer. The recent Mars Retrograde that was opposing t.Pluto in what seemed to take forever was happening right on top of Palfrey's Progressed Venus.

Palfrey ended up vilifying her clientele by publishing their names and was further humiliated when only a couple of people on the list were of any interest to media harassment. In honor of Palfrey I would like to take a look at one of these men, David Vitter, the Senator from Louisiana who became known among the girls as "Vitter the Shitter" for his diaper fetish. Vitter is publicly humiliated, the rest of the men on the list are outed and no doubt in trouble with their families. And, since it's Washington, who cares?

I wanted to know, what in Vitter's chart would indicate a Diaper Fetish? Vitter continues to this day to lead an abnormally hypocritical life. He wants to abolish all sex education from the schools except for abstinence training along with a whole list of reprehensible ideas.

I personally prefer recommending that women take the high road in life, one that builds self esteem, but I know that there aren't too many corners out there for many of us that offer a better life. I'm also not a very practical person. So, Deborah, this is for you.

David Vitter

b. May 3, 1961 New Orleans, LA

Sun 14 Taurus; Moon in Sagittarius?; NN 4 Virgo

Okay, Senator Punkin Pants, calm down, the the Statute of Limitations has run out on your Crime, You're Safe. You have Pluto at 6 Virgo conjunct the North Node at 4 Virgo opposite Chiron in Pisces. This shows a guy who's fascinated by his intestinal tract, maybe even obsessed with it. What are the Diapers for anyway? Spanking? Wiping? Were you one of the kids whose Mothers tied them to the pot?

Venus in your chart is so unaspected it didn't even come up on the list on my computer program. No parallels, no minor aspects, no nothings. And it's in Aries. You like your ladies Fun, Bold, Brassy, Pushy, you probably like Bald Women. I wouldn't be surprised if you liked Men with your Women. Women in your life take the lead, though, or is it leash? No. Wait. I forgot. You like Diapers. You like women who will clean (Virgo) up the messes you make in your pants...

Mars in Cancer, Baby. Love it or leave it, you've got it. Your Mother probably did leave you on the pot. That's the sign of the Baby. You're the Pampers Prince. Your Mars is special too, because it's opposite your conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius and Capricorn. You know how to excel, you can keep this other stuff separate from your Social Face.

But, don't worry, Senator. Your progressed Venus, remember that energy that sort of just works on its own, doesn't flow with the rest of the planets in your Natal Chart, the one that keeps you up late at night doin it into a dishrag while on the Internet? It's been approaching your Natal Taurus Sun and is now within a degree of conjunction. Often this is a very happy transit indicating marriage and fidelity. When that doesn't happen, many people commit Suicide. This should have been Deborah Palfry's Progression! You've projected it, you Lucky John! Her natal Venus was conjunct your Sun. While talking out the wrong side of your stinky ass, you've left entrails of pain on society's heals.

Man, I hate Politics. Where do these creeps come from?

Brother Eliot Rides Rough on the Mayflower

Okay, this is going to be a Quickie. Yes, that's right, it's about Eliot Spitzer. It appears from the headlines that he has indeed resigned from his "Position" as Governor of New York. I think it was because he was from so much pressure from the Late Night Comics. Spitzer had to quit because he got caught renting hookers from a House of Ill Repute. As Governor all his finances are inspected and once his tab ran up into the $80,000's bracket the FBI walked in. Gemini's aren't usually this dumb, wonder what happened.

I don't know what kinds of moralistic things Spitzer tried to fix in his short term as Governor but I'm pretty sure his fall isn't about Morals. I also live on the West Coast in the Land where Anything Goes so I wouldn't know how to play the game out in sophisticated New York. But Morals? The Bush Administration would have been long gone if this were a problem.

Spitzer hired a Brunette, 5'4", 105 lb. Commodity to take a train to Washington DC and book a room in the Mayflower Hotel so that he could beg her to do it without a condom. I think I read that he paid for 4 hours from 10:00pm on Feb. 13 to 2 am on Feb. 14. But Spitzer only used her for 2. I told you this was all about Quickies. I've also warned to never even think of trying to find Love on Valentine's Day. It never ever works.

Eliot "Client 9" Spitzer

b. June 10, 1959 Bronx, NY

Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. He's a Gemini. They're polygamous. I forgot to write down his chart stuff down. Where's his Moon? Oh yeah, that symbolizes his Wife and she's

Silda "First Wife" Spitzer

b. Dec. 10, 1957 Chapel Hill, NC

Comparing charts here gets interesting.

Mr. and Mrs. Spitzer have Suns which exactly oppose each other. Eliot's is 19 Gemini and Silda's is 19 Sagittarius.

Their Venus's (Her Planet) also oppose each other. Eliot's at 4 Leo (conjunct his Mars 6 Leo) and Silda's at 3 Leo.

The couple's Mars's (His Planet) are in squaring signs. Mars in the charts does throw some klinkers in the nuptial bliss with its intensity. Squaring Signs challenge each other, for one. But, these challenging aspects between Venus and Mars really increase the sexual attraction.

Eliot's Mars is conjunct his Venus and Uranus and possibly his Moon which is a fairly kinky aspect. He's got quite a Sex drive going there. This combination also makes for a really nice person but in Leo the Hubris thing I guess got the better of him.

Silda's Mars is in Scorpio is unaspected. Unaspected planets, in Noel Tyl's terms, "runs away with the chart." So she likes a guy with a long whip. Probably she likes his ambition and is willing to give up a little in favor of success. Maybe less so now that her Sun has long progressed out of Capricorn.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Spitzer have the Moon at 3-4 degrees Leo in the Noontime charts. So that means they have either Cancer or Leo Moon. They really are in sync with each other for Better or, um, Worse. There's a problem with some squares between Mars and Neptune. On the positive side I think this makes a couple want to help others. On the negative side it makes them do weird, creepy things. This square is in Elliot's natal chart but also in their Marriage chart (along with a conjunction of Venus-Pluto-Mercury, ooo boy).

Example of a Marriage Chart that Leads to Great Political Success and Fall through a Hooker named Kristen who was Rented from the Emperor's Club:

Oct. 17, 1987 (place? New York)

Sun 25 Libra; Moon Leo? (Moon conjunct their natal Moons?); NN 3 Aries (no shit)

Mars conjunct Libra South Node squaring Neptune

The Most interesting part of this story are the Progressed Retrogrades that have occurred in this couple's lives so far. Thank God there are only two.

The first is, this isn't a surprise, Silda's Venus. Silda is a people pleasing Sagittarius. The women are people pleasers, but they are also freedom loving. They attract marriage like flies but can really struggle with the confines of boring old same old, same old. Silda's first marriage failed. She was married in 1982 for 29 days. So years later, she met Eliot and they decided to give it a go. Silda's Venus went Retrograde by Progression the Month after they got married. She's really been sticking this one out. Robert Blaschke's book on Progressions would have a great description for what prog.Venus Rx means. I don't have it nearby. Noel Tyl has described natal Venus Rx succinctly as the person develops Loveability issues. Their entire Libra (Venus) marriage has been ruled by Silda's feeling unloveable (deep down, of course). She's so pretty and intelligent. It would be interesting to look at her Juno placement. Maybe later.

The second Rx Progression is Eliot's Mercury. His P.Mercury went Retrograde in 2001-2. It's really interesting that his political career really took off at that point and has suffered from his overly Mercurial personality. Spitzer's Mercury went Retrograde while conjunct his natal Uranus in Leo. This doesn't imbue a sublte, sweet communication style. He became a Crusader and Truth Teller for all kinds of Noble Causes. Unfortunately he began to yell at everyone and brag about what a Steamroller he was. It's very appropriate that Spitzer was caught through Mercury-Uranus means, through surveillance on his electronic accounts. Spitzer's Progressed Sun is moving into conjunction with p.Mercury and progressed and Natal Uranus so work-wise he may really take on even more of a crusade. I'm not sure, I think prog. Sun might just be finishing up with the conjunction to his Venus and Mars so he may be spent in those departments. It's not worth it if you have to use a condom.

Bride Dies in Husband's Arms during 1st Wedding Dance

This is a tragic story. A bride in Florida, Kim Sjostrom, passed out in her Husband's arms during their first dance at their Wedding. She suffered a heart attack and was unable to be revived. The date was Jan. 19, 2008, Davies, Florida. (http://www.wpbf.com/news/15269770/detail.html). The couple had met 3 years before to the day. I don't have Kim Sjostrom's birth date but wanted to see what kind of astrology this might show.

First thing that stands out is the Mars-Pluto connection in both the Date of the couple's Meeting and in their Marriage. Probably not the best combination for a marriage due to its volatility.

When Kim met her future husband on Jan 19, 2005 Mars was at 18 Sagittarius conjunct Pluto at 24 Sagittarius. On the Wedding Date Pluto was at 30 Sagittarius so Mrs. Efkarpides was probably going through her natal Pluto Square.

This energy repeats for the Wedding. Pluto was opposite Mars at 25 Gemini conjunct the Moon at 24 Gemini and was amplified by a conjunction to Venus at 25 Sagittarius and Jupiter at 8 Capricorn. This is a very stressful & emotional combination, kind of like too much of a good thing.
I don't know what time Mrs. Efkarpides passed away but this opposition was passing over the ASC-DESC line of Marriage right before 4:00 pm. It was also connected with North Node conjunct Neptune which were just passing into the 8th House (death).

What also stands out is Kim's age, 36 years old, which indicates something to do with an upcoming Nodal Return. If Mrs. Efkarpides' perhaps indicates weakness in the Heart. During her childhood she was a Poster child (Leo) for Diabetes and a 1st grade teacher (Leo) which shows that she was very connected with her Leo South Node. In 1972, Pluto was just passing into Libra (the planet of marriage) and for a while was in a Grand Trine with the North Node and with Saturn in Taurus. This means nothing because I don't have her birth information and probably doesn't apply to her chart at all but I'm mentioning it anyway. At any rate, when the couple met, Pluto, Saturn and the North Node were once again figured together in a triangle shape including a trine, opposition and inconjunct. Saturn, Pluto and North Node are all connected with "Fate" and "Karma" which probably means nothing but there does seem to be an unreasonable amount of either one of these in their marriage (South Node for their meeting was in Libra (marriage). They were not in aspect on the date of their marriage.

I'm very sorry for Teddy Efkarpides' loss. May his wife's soul Rest in Peace.

8 1/2

8 1/2 is the name of a brilliant movie by the Italian Filmmaker Federico Fellini. It is a semi-autobiographical story about a filmmaker who can't seem to finish his movie. It's told in a surrealistic, stream of consciousness, dreamlike style. It's the ultimate mid-life crisis movie. I was wondering if by any chance it was made by the maestro when he was going through either his Uranus Opposition or Neptune Square? I found out that the movie's original title was "The Beautiful Confusion..." Ah ha.... When the movie came out in 1963, Fellini was going through both his Uranus Opposition and Neptune square. The Title refers to how many movies Fellini had made while he was filming it. The next movie he made he did indeed not finish. Capricorns are total wrecks when they let their fears take over (in this case, a good thing).

Natal Uranus 30 Aquarius opposed by Transiting Uranus 4 Virgo & Prog. Moon 1 Virgo in the 12th House of Dreams and Confusion (and filmmaking).

Natal Neptune 11 Leo conjunct natal Jupiter 15 Leo squared by transiting Neptune 16 Scorpio (H3).

I pulled up Fellini's other movies and it's really amazing how the "Keywords" from the IMBD database of amazing movie information matches up with the transits that Fellini was going through when he made his movies.

As a Double Capricorn so maybe this gives him an extra sense of timing to the planets. I don't know, it's just a really interesting coincidence. I tried this with a couple of other filmmakers and it just didn't work as well. Fellini's Capricorn Sun and Moon dispose to Saturn which is in his 12th house of filmmaking and conjunct his Ascendant so the Saturn energy is super potent. It's also unaspected (by Ptolomaic aspect).

When Fellini was filming 8 1/2 he was going through another major transit which actually explains the Director's Block. Transiting Pluto was conjunct natal Saturn. Being a determined Capricorn, he simply wrote truthfully about what he was going through. It made absolutely no sense but the movie speaks to everyone who sees it.

Here's a list of some other films and aspects. Watching Fellini movies is definitely the best way to learn about astrology! I should also study his relationship with his wife, the actress Giulietta Massina who starred in many of his films as part of my True Love series but just am a little low on energy right now.

1950. Luci del Varieta (Variety Lights). About 2d rate Theatrical performers. Fantasy is often considered a Neptunian theme, but Grotesques and Carnival types are ruled by Capricorn. These figure strongly in all the Fellini Movies that I've seen. Major transits:

I M N INFP. R U? Grrr8!!!!

I'm an Introvert and everyone I know is an Introvert. I just read a fun essay called "Caring for Your Introvert" by Jonathan Rauch in Best American Science and Nature Writing 2004. The essay says that 25 percent of the population is Introverts and that our brains are wired differently. The writer says that as an Introvert he has to adjust his schedule so that for every hour he spends with an extravert he must spend 2 hours by himself recharging. Politicians tend to be Extraverts. George Bush is an Extravert. 25 percent of the United States will need 16 years to get over George Bush's 8 years of running the country. Or something like that. I'm beginning to realize that I may not be Introverted as much as just crazy, especially when I write nonsensical stuff like this. Anyway, Extraverts test as Happier people. When you ask an Introvert whether or not he's happy he'll go off and think about it and realize that maybe he really could be happier. Extraverts will just say "Hell, Yeah! Aren't You?" And then he'll want to go have a beer with you.

Introversion and Extroversion (spellings?) were invented by Carl Jung. He published a book in 1921 "Psychological Types" which spelled this out. In 1921 there was a Saturn opposition to Uranus. Jupiter (Extrovert) was conjunct Saturn (Extrovert) that year in Virgo (Introvert) and Uranus (Extrovert) was in Pisces (Introvert). These are three extroverted planets placed in introverted signs. I'm mentioning them because two women created a famous psychology test that classifies people into 16 different classes of people. It's called the Myers-Briggs test and they decide for you where you fit into the Introvert-Extrovert scale. I took this test in a career placement class. I wasn't surprised to find that I was Introverted and I was absolutely delighted to find that I have nothing in common with Morticians.

This test, the Myers-Briggs test, was created by a Mother and Daughter team who were originally having "a situation" over the Daughter's boyfriend. The Mother was a Capricorn and pointed out that the Husband's personality didn't quite fit into the family ambience. At first I thought, oo boy, Mom's a bit of a control freak but then I read about the boyfriend. The Boyfriend went by the name of "Chief." Nobody wants their kid, friend, or neighbor for that matter marrying a guy named "Chief."

So who the Hell's gonna wanna be attracted to a guy named "Chief?"

Guess.

No Guess again.

Answer: Libra. Libra will play Cowboy and Indians with anybody just as long as they get to take long drags on the Peace Pipe at the end. The daughter was a Libra.

This isn't the whole story. There a bunch of different tellings of it and I'm sure I've picked mostly the wrong details. What I want to state here is that the Mom, Katherine Cook Briggs, had a natal Saturn-Uranus opposition. (Saturn in Aquarius opposite Uranus in Leo, extroverted). She gave birth to her daughter while there was a Saturn-Uranus conjunction (Saturn conjunct Uranus in Scorpio, sounds much more Introverted, much different generation than daughter). Together they did a very Saturn-Uranus thing I think by categorizing human personalities into 16 categories that would hopefully bring respect to each different type. When I was in the class learning that the Extrovert girl sitting next to me had a lot more options available in career placement I realized her value in a new light. If she had asked me out for a beer I would probably have felt immediately exhausted. The Libra daughter was motivated by the extreme divisiveness of people of the time from the two World Wars. People needed to learn to respect and accept each other again on a big scale (that's Uranus influence for sure).

I'm just pointing out this Saturn-Uranus thing in this blog entry because it seems connected to the good side of the Saturn-Uranus aspect. We have another one of these coming up in a t-square format along with Pluto. A similar Cardinal sign t-square formed in 1931 while the Great Depression was in full swing and can cause the extreme tension that caused the formation of the Nazis rose to power in Germany and will test people at a very basic level of existence (Cardinal). I'm just trying to remind myself that these things can manifest in so many different ways. We just really have to try to use it in the right way. (although I'm clueless on how to go about that myself).

And also check out how Carl Jung's chart plays into this. 1st House Saturn in Aquarius opposite 7th House Uranus in Leo. Saturn is also squaring Pluto, Uranus is out of orb! (I actually wrote this whole blog entry without looking at his chart! and just decided to before hitting the publish button!)

I think Saturn-Uranus combos have much more of a connection to wanting to categorize people in a way that keeps them managed. One can do it coldly or one can do it kindly. Isabel Briggs' chart is really fascinating. In addition to the Saturn-Uranus conjunction in Scorpio she has the Neptune-Pluto conjunction in Gemini (data processing, categorizing). These form the boundaries to a bowl shaped configuration in her chart. So, she was "bound" by all this outer planet energy to understand the relatedness of "The Other." And, of course, Libra Sun fits right in with this.

Isabel tested out as an INFP. And I had to look to see what indicates marriage to a Chief: she had Mars in Scorpio, just like her Mom, actually. Chief tested out as an ISTJ. They were complete opposites except for their common bond of Introversion. Ah, isn't that sweet? 2 hours apart for every 1 hour together ( I think I'll add this blog to the True Love Label.)

Indicators for Introversion and Extroversion in Astrology:

There's the idea that a person with planets predominantly above the Horizon of the chart are Extroverts and those with planets below are Introverts. It gets much more complicated than that. Most people of course have planets on either side and are combination plates. Extroverts often don't have great inner knowledge. They will perceive a hangover as a need to turn inward for an afternoon. If only 25 percent of the population is Introverts then this can't be an acceptable signature as everything below the Horizon is 50 percent of the chart. Americans hate Introverts, though, we've begun to label them as Asberger's Diseased or something. Americans didn't invent the astrological wheel but we did invent the Myers-Briggs test and psychologists tend to be Extroverts so what can I say? The woman who invented the test was an Introvert, so there. What a ramble.

Katherine "Mom" Cook Briggs

b. Jan. 3, 1875

Sun 14 Capricorn; Moon Scorpio or Sagittarius; NN 24 Aries (conjunct opposition of Neptune-Jupiter)

Isabel "Daughter" Briggs Meyers

b. Oct. 18, 1897

Sun 26 Libra; Moon Cancer; NN 3 Aquarius

If interested please look at the charts with the mind that both were accomplished writers. Mom wrote Biographies. Daughter wrote Murder Mysteries. I just think that's interesting.

Tragic Modern Love

I know I said that I wouldn't look at any more Artists' charts during my search for the secret to True Love but this story was too Romantic and Sad to pass up. Let's face it, Love between Lawyers, Accountants, and Brick Layers just never seems to make the Headlines. True Love is fueled by Romance and Imagination. And Artists never have health insurance so it's kind of convenient when they don't live into old age anyway.

Theresa Duncan was 40 years old when she overdosed on July 10, 2007 in New York City. A week later her lover, Jeremy Blake, walked into the Atlantic Ocean and drowned. He was 35. They had been together for 12 years and never spent a night apart. They were successful computer artists in the New York and Los Angeles Art Worlds. Their story is here: "Conspiracy of Two" by David Amsden: http://nymag.com/news/features/36091/.

Theresa Duncan
b. Oct. 26, 1966 Lapeer, Michigan

Sun 3 Scorpio; Moon Pisces or Aries; NN 17 Taurus

Jeremy Blake

b. Oct. 4, 1971 Fort Sill, Oklahoma

Sun 11 Libra; Moon Aries; NN 13 Aquarius

The couple originally met in 1994 in Washington, DC but began dating in the Fall of 1995. This was Theresa's Saturn Return (in Pisces) and Jeremy's Jupiter Return (in Sagittarius). By coincidence they ended their lives on Jeremy's next Jupiter Return; which was a Return for their relationship. Jupiter in it's own sign of Sagittarius.

This couple's charts are both out of Balance by element. And they seem to have filled in for their lacks through each other. That is often an indicator for attraction. Either Like attracts Like or Opposites Attract. At any rate, Teresa's chart was mostly Water and Earth and Jeremy's was mostly Air and Fire. Without a Birth Time I can't say how their Moons were placed or aspected, of course. Maybe they both had Aries Moons. Teresa is described as very firey and strong willed which suggests the Aries Moon. If her Moon was in Pisces, it could have been conjunct Chiron, SaturnRx, and Lilith. That's quite an emotional load and it's easy to see why she would have gravitated to Jeremy for balance as he had a big stellium in Libra, which is an Air Sign. Jeremy may also have had a conjunction of Moon and Chiron in Aries opposing his Libra stellium. The noontime chart shows middle Aries placement so it was definitely in Aries. Couples with same Moon Signs often get along, it's good to have a matching subconscious with your partner, especially during arguments. Aries Moons can be a bit argumentative so it's good when they are both emotionally on the same plain this way.

What really stands out is what seems to be the negative Plutonian nature that their relationship had descended into. Apparently they thought they were being spied on by the Government and the Scientologists. Well, that's actually not paranoia in this day and age....

So right off the bat it makes sense that Teresa was a Scorpio, Pluto's sign, they live on deep levels and suspect all motives. Her Sun was conjunct Venus in Libra over the cusp showing her incredible social skills (and probably also love of perfume). Jeremy's Sun had progressed into Scorpio and his entire Stellium had arced into Scorpio, so he was under strong Plutonian influence as well.

It seems that the Paranoia began when the couple moved to L.A. in 1999 just as Teresa was going through her Pluto square (and Bush was coming into office). This is a big deal because Teresa was born during the Uranus-Pluto conjunction in Virgo at the time that it was opposing Saturn in Pisces. So the Pluto square was very heavy for this generation. (It is interesting that Bush has been able to get away with his shenanigan's while these folks were peaking as adults). She also had Mars in Virgo at earlier degrees, so Pluto would have squared that right before hitting her natal Opposition. And her Mars was unaspected in her chart which means that it has to absorb all the energy of a big transit. This explains her very firey personality.

In the story linked above it's really incredible to read about how the paranoia seems to have shifted from Teresa to Jeremy in sync with their Pluto Squares. Jeremy was in the middle of his Pluto square when the couple died. His natal Pluto was on the last degree of Virgo. This is the Libra AP which explains the publicity that surrounds this couple. Their Double Suicide has become an Urban Myth for Modern Lovers. Jeremy had four planets in Libra (Mercury, Sun, Uranus and Venus) and would have been faced with transiting Pluto squaring them all very slowly over the next few years.

In addition, Jeremy had an opposition of Saturn RX at 7 Gemini to a conjunction of Neptune and Jupiter in early Sagittarius. These two planets working together can be great signatures for artists who can apply the practical business/marketing skills to their artistic talents. But it can also bring depression and loss, maybe fueling the paranoia about Government (Saturn = Government and Neptune = Institutions). (The Saturn-Pluto opposition, a big sign of Government conspiracy and Terror happened in the same signs, although in later degrees.)

Jeremy's birth opposition was echoed in last year's Saturn-Neptune opposition which occurred right on Jeremy's natal Nodes so I know it would have been a stressor, especially as he had n.Mars conjunct his NN (c. t.Saturn). And stressing things out even more, his Progressed Sun was in Scorpio squaring the natal Nodes-Mars aspect and transiting Saturn-Neptune opposition.

I suspect that Neptune is also related to paranoia. According to Rex Bills it rules Conspiracies. The couple's composite chart has a conjunction of Mars with Neptune. Teresa had Mercury conjunct Neptune in Scorpio which can give a vivid imagination but would be very vulnerable to Mental Illness. Emphasis of Libra in Jeremy's chart shows that he could lose himself to his Partner.

********

This is an irrelevant add-on. I've read that Jeremy's Father died when he was 17. In 1988, Jeremy would have been going through his Jupiter opposition which means that Jupiter was conjunct natal Saturn and opposing n.Neptune-Jupiter. Also, there was a conjunction of Saturn-Uranus in Sagittarius pretty much on the degree where Pluto at the time of his Father's death was when Jeremy died.

Truly Expensive Love

My search for the secret to True Love as foretold by a birth chart is really getting quite stressful. Not that I won't figure it out -- eventually. I just need a break. Here's a link to Forbe's article entitled: "By the Numbers: The 10 Most Expensive Celebrity Divorces" http://www.forbes.com/business/2007/04/12/celebrity-divorce-hollywood-biz-cx_0412divorcelander.html.

This article lists numerically Celebrity couples according to how expensive their Divorces were. They are only Celebrities and they are only Divorces from the last 25 years. In Astro terms this means that many have Neptune in Libra and Pluto in Leo. I think that Pluto in Cancer and Scorpio might tend to battle to the very end of such things.

This has turned out to be quite a good learning experience. I've checked the Husbands' charts since they were the Breadwinners for very easy indicators. Out the of the 10 charts it appears that only one of the women seems to be a true Gold Digger so I'm impressed by that. The other women were officially married to the Men while the Men raked it in and that in my opinion makes them entitled.

I've only checked the Husbands charts as most of the wives' birth information isn't available. Looked at 4th (Home life), 7th (Marriage), & 8th (Shared Finances) Houses and found that often these houses are empty. Suppose this means that these areas of life aren't where interests lie and so this shows a vulnerable spot in life? In the charts where time is available, you can see that Moon, Sun and Venus rarely figure in these houses which indicates that these people look for mostly business/excitement in their relationships. They like women who will help them with these aspects of life rather than the personal needs nature of the missing planets.

Also checked Venus as she rules both marriage, women, and money and found that their Venuses are often afflicted or unaspected (by Ptolomaic aspect). Advice for the Golddiggers: Venus in Libra, unaspected by major aspects and Mars in Leo seems to be a good chart to look for in a financial pushover. Advice for men with these aspects: Pre-nup, no matter what.

Also checked ASC/DESC when birth time available. Found that Neptune aspecting/ruling the ASC/DESC line is common, gives one magnetism to succeed as a celebrity but indicates the wool get pulled over the eyes regarding partnerships. Maybe makes it easier to Divorce for money as Neptune can make a guy a "stray cat" and "alcohol-drug dependent." Those are always good arguments in Divorce Court.

Lastly, checked Uranus, the planet that's thought to rule Divorce, and found that often Uranus is strongly aspected to other outer planets. That may show that these are men who appeal to their generations. Success often leads to complicated, erratic relationships as powers shift and trust is unreliable. Uranus brings emotional distance which is great for business and risk taking but a little weak on the intimacy scales.

Petrarch - True Plutonic Love

In Honor of Sun in Libra, I'm still searching for example charts of those who experience True Love. This isn't necessarily just a Libra concept, but it's what I'm curious about right now probably because the Sun is in my 5th House. Have noticed that my blog has been added to website review list that's trafficked mostly by "wealthy men" who are looking for porno which means that those guys are being led to this site. (So this is how I get to celebrate Jupiter on the DESC and the fact that I gave my blog a stupid title with a dirty word in it).

Let's get this clear, you horny wealthy men. Sex doesn't come until the Sun moves into Scorpio. Get your frigging Sun Signs straight. Libra is about Courtly Love, something you pervs should try.

Petrarch (Francesco Petrarca,
for the Pervs it's just "Frank")
b. July 20, 1304 4:20 Arezzo, Italy

Sun 5 Leo; ASC 30 Cancer; Moon 5 Pisces; MC12 Aries; NN 16 Sagittarius

Okay, let me calm down. First off I'm having trouble understanding what was going on with the Calendar way back then and may be using the wrong chart. This is the Astrotheme chart time. I'm able to pull the same chart up on Solar Fire but astrodienst pulls up the "Gregorian" chart which gives a completely different chart. I'm not versed at all on what the Pope was doing to the Calendar, I think Julius Caesar was involved but who knows.

Petrarch is called the "Father of Humanism." I think this means that he thought that Man is the All-Glorious Center of the Universe, in direct contact with God, no Pope needed thank you very much. This is Good because it's been a very empowering force for Civilization's Progress. It's Scientific. I personally think it's also only sometimes true. Nature's just baitin ya if you really believe the Humanist POV. Everything the Humanists do eventually leads to black smoke coming out of factory pipes. Well, there are some good drugs, paintings and poems as well. This Love of Humanism also means that Petrarch hated Astrology because Humanists hate Astrology. That guy I talked about last month, what's his name, the Pisces Humanist, he's a Humanist/Skeptic too. The Amazing Randi is a Skeptic and he's a Leo like Petrarch. Well, that's neither here nor there, it's just the introductory ramble.

Leos are Romantics so Petrarch compensated for his big ego'd Humanism by having a neurotic, compulsive crush on a girl named Laura. He spied Laura in a Church in Avignon on April 6, 1327. He was Age 26 (after Chiron opposition, Minor Prog. Mars Return and Tertiary Prog. Merc. Return) and Laura was around Age 21 (Uranus square). Laura was married and unavailable, but Petrarch moved to a house in Avignon to be around her and for 3 years wrote more than 300 poems about his Love for her. This was True, Platonic Love. Love in its highest, most romantic form, i.e. without the clap. Plutarch kind of did for Love what Plato did for Form. Nowadays this behavior is called Stalking, Laura's husband would have called the cops on Petrarch.

Petrarch was a good note taker. He spied Laura across a crowded Church (I wish I could add theme music from "Some Enchanted Evening") on April 6, 1327 and recorded date/time. It was Springtime, Birds, bees, bunnies, poets all out doin Spring Break. On that day there was a Full Moon, Sun 24 Aries opposite Moon in Libra and we all know what happens on a Full Moon, especially a Full Moon in Libra.... Venus and Mercury were loosely conjunct in Aries in earlier degrees of Aries so the Moon would have opposed them first thus setting off Petrarch's mood for wine, women and song. Moon rules Petrarch's chart so he was extra vulnerable to its transits (and also women who are ruled by the Moon).

T.Mars was at 23 Gemini (intellect, compulsive poetry writing) jacked up by the aspects like the EveryReady Bunny. This Mars was involved in both a Grand Square and a Grand Trine. It hooked together a Mutable Grand Square with the Nodes in Virgo/Pisces, Pluto in Pisces and Neptune in Sagg with a Grand Air Trine of Mars-Chiron in Aquarius and Full Moon in Libra. This Grand Trine was also layered over Petrarch's natal Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Libra so his natal chart was set off. This is the perfect set-up for a poet. Petrarch found his Muse and created a new Sonnet Poetry form in the meantime. And another big transit: transiting Jupiter was conjunct both Petrarch's Ascendant and natal Sun-Mercury.

I looked for indicators for Courtly Love in Petrarch's chart. There are many. He was a die-hard Romantic. Sun conjunct Mercury both at 5 Leo is, of course, a major indicator as it rules Creative Love and Noble pursuits of a Romantic Nature and writing about them. Mercury rules his 3d House which emphasizes this.

Petrarch also had Moon in Pisces in the 8th House which indicates that the waters of his subconscious run a little deeper than most, perfect minefield for feelings that can never be fully expressed but also for a yearning to find creative expression for thme. There's also an interesting Yod here that hooks his Sun in Leo sextile Saturn (maybe also Moon) in Libra that are both inconjunct the Moon. The complicated nature of the Yod which has to find some super human way to combine influences that don't work well together. Sounds perfect for unrequited love that has some roots in emotional Insecurity that expresses itself best through professional means (Moon combined with Saturn).

There are all kinds of interesting stories about Petrarch "losing his Head." Mars ruled the head and the prominence of Mars in the transits on the day when Petrarch met Laura could show that he'd be vulnerable to losing his "head" over her. I wanted to find some big connection to the Fixed Star Algol but couldn't. Petrarch's body has been exhumed twice that is known about. The second time was in Nov. 2003. People wanted to know if he was really 6 feet tall and also to "borrow" his skull to make a replica for his 700th Birthday Celebration. The skull inside was cracked and was determined through DNA testing not to be his so at some point somebody stole his head. Sounds like more Algol stuff... The wikipedia article says that the rest of the bones were definitely his because they show indications of having been kicked by a Donkey at age 42, something which really happened. (LOL, that's so funny, I like anything an Ass does, after all). They don't say whether or not he was really 6 feet tall. The whole story is strange. People are strange. That's why I choose not to commit to Humanism. This search for Successful examples of True Love is really exhausting, I have to tell you.

80 Years of True Love

Alonzo and Beulah Sims just celebrated their 80th Wedding Anniversary in Alabama. He's 97 and she's 94 years old. They met when he was 15 and she was 12 and were married 2 years later on October 1, 1927 in Fayetteville, Tenn. They say they've rarely fought because they've been too busy. They credit their longevity to a lifetime of hard work on farms and eating vegetables.

I don't have a time for their Wedding but even so I can see absolutely no indicator for a successful marriage in this chart. On first look, it seems to only describe the event. This couple married against their parent's wills and this chart shows that feeling of independence and rebellion. Sun conjunct Mars in Libra opposite Uranus in Aries plus the Moon is in Sagittarius. Great planets for eloping to, but I might imagine a Sagittarius Moon to want to wander off. Maybe "Ornery" is a good ingredient in marriage. And, if as is the case here, it's combined with ability to cooperate with each other (3 Libra Planets) and to take the union seriously (aspects to Saturn and Venus), it could add a sense of adventure and levity.

Venus, the planet of Marriage, is Retrograde in Virgo; that might seem to show a lack of love in a relationship, but maybe it shows a desire to make the relationship work. A cooperative Libra couple that doesn't make great demands.

At any rate, one can see the work ethic and attention to nutrition which they say is responsible for their long lives. Venus is a singleton in Earth which emphasizes it's influence. Also, Venus squares Saturn which may have been conjunct Saturn in Sagittarius showing a serious commitment. Guess that's why they see their hard farm work as a major reason for longevity in the marriage.

There are multiple indicators for Fun and Joy to balance out these serious aspects. Jupiter 28 Pisces conjunct Uranus in Aries trining Saturn in Sagittarius. Sun-Mars in Libra would keep a cooperative, light hearted attitude. They say they almost never quibble. Mercury is also in Libra. The North Node is in Gemini. Some would find that an indicator for infidelity but they say that they were always too busy to fight. Busy = Gemini.

Here's a link to Wikipedia's list of longest lasting marriages: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_with_longest_marriages.

Interesting in this list is the fact out of the 10 Dates for marriages given, 4 occurred in 1924 with an additional marriage in June, 1925. This is probably due to the fact that you have to be married 80 years in order to get on the list and this is the first generation with extended life expectancy. It's still interesting to look at the planets. During 1924-25, Jupiter was in Sagittarius and Capricorn. Saturn, Uranus and Pluto were in the Water Signs maybe receiving the blessing of an Outer Planet Grand Trine. Pluto was in Cancer, Saturn in Scorpio, Uranus in Pisces. They were actually only within wide orb for a short time during this period. Neptune was in Leo and at times conjunct the North Node. Maybe that added a combination of just enough Glamour and sense of self-sacrifice to make a marriage actually work.

Crowned Fairy Princess of Norway

Once Upon a Time I saw an article on a Norwegian Princess who talks to Angels. That's just so girly, I had to look at the chart and when I looked at it, I swear to God, I saw only trines. Now that I've gotten around to looking at the chart again it turns out there's some ugly red lines besmirching the harmony. I'm absolutely appalled. Good news is there are no squares (minus Moon or Angles due to lack of birth time) but there are some hearty oppositions. --And when you read her story you can see the oppositions. But this is as close as we're ever gonna come to reading a Fairy Tale so be done with it.

Hark! Martha Louise, Fairy Princess of Norway

b. Sept. 22, 1971, Oslo, Norway

Sun 29 Virgo; Moon Libra or Scorpio; NN 14 Aquarius

Martha Louise is about 4th in line to the throne. She's a certified physiotherapist and she's given up most of her royal duties except the ones related to support causes having to do with Health. This matches her Sun-Pluto conjunction at the end of Virgo, sign of Health.

The Sun-Pluto conjunction is part of a stellium with Venus & Uranus in Libra. Now for the good part. Martha Louise's Air Grand Trine includes the Venus-Uranus conjunction trine Mars-NN in Aquarius and Saturn Rx in Gemini. I read this as a lonely childhood that developed into a rich fantasy life that came true. Mars describes the Men you like, your true and one honeybun, and like a true Fairy Princess Martha Louise roused the Royals with her marriage (Mars in Aquarius trine Venus-Uranus in Libra). She married a ForkLift operator! She went for the Mars-Uranus-Saturn guy. (Well, actually he's a writer with Venus in Leo trine Jupiter on the AP in Capricorn. Rex Bills needs to add that aspect to "Guys Who Marry Princesses" rulerships)

So for a while there I guess it was Tabloid City. But all was good as True Love is. Since 2002, the Princess has lived happily ever after with her Stud Muffin Truck Driver and has had two Perfect Children who are total cherubs. Then Uranus and the North Node hit her Unaspected Mercury in Virgo and it's Tabloid City all over again. She's founded a School for Healing called Astarte Education where she teaches people to talk to Angels. The papers are full of comments about how she should "seek treatment." What do those Idiots want? A Golf Game? Ick. I prefer my Princesses talking to Angels.

Martha Louise's Progressed Sun has been passing out of Libra and into Scorpio during these last years of huge changes. That can be a very empowering time for a Virgo Sun. During that time she ran off with the Truck Driver/Writer, had two children and moved out of her Country. Big Scorpio changes. It would be great to see what her birth time is because her Natal Moon in the noontime chart is close to this point. So, she's parking a little Mercury-Uranus action right now, so what? If the Princess says she can feel a Pea under the 20 mattresses, then there's probably a Pea under the bed. Just check it and shut up you icky unimaginiative old coots.

Oh, by the way, Rex Bills says that Fairies are ruled by Neptune. Not only did Uranus and the Node Node hit FairyP's Mercury but natally she's got a conjunction of Neptune with Jupiter at the beginning of Sagittarius. This is opposed by Saturn Retrograde in Gemini. That explains why the constant opposition by the stodgy old farts.

Sigh. Life is hard. Into every Grand Trine a little rain must pour.

The End.
