Operation Mockingbird

Just saw the latest Hunger Games movie, Flaming Fire or something.  Sorry can't remember the name.  The movie is about how government controls people and seems to make huge references to Operation Mockingbird which was a secret CIA program started in 1951 in which the CIA influenced the media to control people. 

Looked up the guys who were involved.  There are some conflicting facts on the Wikipedia articles so I'm not sure who really started the program and when. 

Anyway, did notice there seems to be a big connection between CIA officers who want to control the public through media.  All 3 men listed had Mercury Retrogrades.  Interesting to think that all those little blips that occur during Mercury Rx might be great times to inject sweet little nothings into one's subconscious.  Pluto and Neptune could also be contenders as well.  Probably even Jupiter.

Mercury, Venus and Mars Retrogrades of 2012, 1st half

People with major points in their charts at Mid-Mutable signs are catching the brunt of some tricky energy this year from the Venus and Mars Retrogrades.  Mutable Signs are about refining things and finishing things up.  Mutable Signs are closers.  Probably even the Geminis if you can keep them from getting distracted or chain them to some Scorpios or other Fixed Signs.

Mars stationed Rx on  Jan 23, 2012 at 24 Virgo and then stationed D on  Apr. 13, 2012 at 4 Virgo.  It will return to its point of Rx, 24 Virgo on June 19, 2012.  This means that 4 through 24 degrees of Virgo are probably a little more impulsive and inspired than usual. Mars usually has a retrograde aspect about every 2 years, I think its slightly more than 2 years but don't quote me and I'm not looking it up.  Virgos may be feeling like they are getting picked up by the nape of their necks and pulled along at very fast speeds right now.  The other Mutable Signs might be feeling like they are getting pushed

A major aspect of any Mars Retrograde is that it includes an opposition from Mars to the Sun.  This occurred this year on March 3 with Sun at 14 Pisces opposing Mars at 14 Virgo Rx.

The last Mars Rx was in Leo-Cancer and included an opposition from Pluto over the important 1 Cancer/Capricorn points.  This was right around the time that the Saturn, Uranus t-square would have been forming.

This Sun-Mars synodic cycle might promise Success for those afflicted ro affected as Mars was in a Grand Trine with Jupiter in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn.  At the time of the opposition Mars was in the 2d House and Sun was in the 8th House.  This doesn't seem like the world's most ethical combination but it does seem lucky.  

I remember reading once, but can't verify the truth of, that Mars has the most erratic cycle of all the planets.

All the planets outside of the Earth's orbit will have an opposition like this.  This is called a Synodic Cycle.

The two planets which are inside the Earth's orbit, that's Mercury and Venus, will have conjunctions to the Sun instead of oppositions.

Venus is currently traveling through the sign of Gemini.  She will go retrograde on May 15.  She will then be in conjunction with the Sun on June 5.

Venus and the Sun have a very regular cycle in which they are in conjunction every 18 months.  This is a very interesting cycle because of all the cycles it is the most precise.  5 of these cycles in a row puts them back almost in the same spot in the Astrological Wheel.  This cycle makes up a star pattern on the wheel which looks like a pentagram.  This Venus Rx is the end of an eight year cycle which is rare.

Venus will be in conjunction with the Sun on June 5 this year at 16 Gemini.  It will square Mars at 17 Virgo and widely trine Saturn at 24 Libra Rx.

I would assume that Gemini's are getting some extra help by this Venus transit but I'm certainly not.  And a composer-artist I used to know who was born on June 5 or 6 committed suicide last year.  Venus and Sun together can often have that effect.  At least that's my observation, but most astrologers would probably like to say that this is a great time to get married.  June is a big month for marriage.  Why not wait until October this year?

And speaking of Angst.

Mercury, that nervour little beast, was in Rx in March and April. and was in conjunction with the Sun at 2 Aries.  It was also in conjunction with Uranus.  The rewiring of the world.

Who's Zoomin Who? Hypersonic Airplanes, Meteors and North Korea

Just read an article on Yahoo about a spacecraft which was launched off the coast of Central California last August.  This thing reaches top speed of MACH 20.  It fell into the Pacific Ocean after only 9 minutes of flight.  That's not so bad if you realize that it was created to blast around the World in less than an hour.  It would only take 12 minutes to jet from L.A. to New York.

What really attracted me to today's story was the factoid that it flew so quickly it flew right out of its skin.  Made me wonder what was going on with Saturn and Capricorn in the chart.  Those are the astro rulers of the skin.

I can't find an exact launch time.  Someone who blogged about it wrote at 2:49 pm that it had launched roughly 3 hours before time of writing.  At 2:49 pm Saturn would have just passed over the Ascendant (Skin on Face(H1)). Saturn was maybe emphasized because unaspected by major aspect to major planets.

So, and yeah, look at that Mercury Rx at 29 Leo.  It seems that blast offs into Outer Space don't give a hairy fig about Mercury Rx but I think that the folks at DARPA (don't have a clue what that stands for) ought to pay attention to Mercury Rx.

Supposedly this is the 2d test launch for this Hypersonic aircraft.  The first one was launched in 2010 and I can't get the info straight.  The current news says that it also landed in the Pacific Ocean after a 9 minute flight. But, other articles say that it dropped into the ocean at 4:21 BST (British Summer time, I think that's 8:21 PDT time but can't vouch for it).  These reports say that it had a flight lasting 36 minutes which doesn't make sense because it would have been halfway around the world by then.

Mercury was also Retrograde on that day at 12 Taurus.

Yesterday morning there was a bright flashing light and sonic boom which was heard-seen-felt all over California at around 8:00 am. I'm just going to be a conspiracy theorist here and wondering if maybe they are related?  You didn't hear it from me.

This flight had a big outer planetary lineup.  Jupiter was conjunct Uranus in Pisces (sorry I didn't write down the degrees) and opposing Saturn 30 Virgo.

More Women Journalists Sexually Mobbed in Cairo Last Thursday

The more you try to change things the more they stay the same. Last Thursday two more female reporters were sexually mobbed in Cairo. I guess this means that the Egyptian Spring is for boys only.

I already wrote a post about Journalist Lara Logan who was sexually mobbed in Tahrir Square last February.

Epyptian born American Journalist Mona Eltahawy was beaten, sexually mobbed, blind folded and held for 12 hours. Her arms were broken. And this was done by the Egyptian police!

Scorpio is related to anything having to do with sex and crime. Sorry, Scorpios, the other signs all commit crimes too, but Scorpio is just the sign that handles all things that are taboo within society (like Taxes, hee hee).

So, it's interesting that the Moon is in Scorpio on this day. Moon is a singleton in Water, (except for Chiron in Pisces) so it contains all issues having to do with Feelings and Emotions. That usually indicates an extreme of some sort.

Moon is also traveling very fast by 4:30 pm at 15'. I don't know what that means really except that Moon rules Women, Feelings, Lunacy, Crowds, and Mobs. I think that when it travels fast things happen which are beyond comprehension.

By evening there was a New Moon in Sagittarius in conjunction with the Sun 2 Sagittarius. Literally, something exceptional about Women (moon); International Affairs (Sagittarius) and Journalism (Sagittarius). Sagittarius is also the sign of the centaur and I've studied a little bit before about how centaurs are often connected with rape. The Centaur is half man and half horse. Definitely Chiron is interesting to look at on this date which I'll point out down below. I'd expect that Jupiterian types of women would be more vulnerable to rape because they need freedom and independence and so would end up in places which makes them more vulnerable.

Mercury and Venus are also in Sagittarius at whatever degrees they were at, near the end of the sign. They are in conjunction with each other and both are Out of Bounds. Venus is also in mutual reception with Jupiter, ruler of Sagittarius.

Venus rules Women and, again, Sagittarius rules International Affairs and Journalism. Mercury also rules News Reporting and Communication. (Venus out of bounds at 24 deg, 37 min; Mercury out of bounds at 24 deg, 45 min.) Mercury is stationing Retrograde on this day which immediately points to some sort of blip in communications. Nothing says I can do anything I want to you quite like rape, although gang stalking comes close.

There's a Grand Earth Trine occurring in this chart between Mars 7 Virgo, Jupiter 3 Taurus and Pluto 7 Capricorn. So, one could expect that men were feeling a little too lucky during this aspect. Mars rules Men. Mars is Lead Planet of a Locomotive chart. This was one Hell of a Train Wreck, that's for sure.

In addition to all this, there's Chiron. On his website Bob Marks said that some astrologer had told him that rape is often shown when Mars is in difficult aspect with Chiron. There was an opposition between the two last week that was squaring the Sun-New Moon.

Earthquake on the Wrong Coast

On Tuesday a big earthquake, a 5.8, hit the East Coast. Yes, Virginia, that's you. Literally, it's you.

Wow, the biggest earthquake I've ever been in is the Loma Prieta earthquake and that was a 5.9. Would like to say that I'm jealous but I'm totally not. That was hell. It's also not a good testament for earthquake building standards and safety in California as we had a lot more damage than Virginia did. Many deaths, 50 or 60.

So weird. I'm busy living in terror because I'm being gang stalked by every immigrant who has a cell phone so I can't screw around with writing about the earthquake. The East Coast just does things differently. I mean, the Uranus-Pluto square is a no brainer. That's going on for a few more years so just put some springs on the soles of your feet and wear a helmet, wherever you are.

Back in my Summer Solstice 2011 prediction I wrote:

In the astrolocality chart, the Uranus DESC and Pluto IC lines run through the East Coast, practically right smack dab on New York and Montreal. Isn't all the Uranus/Pluto energy supposed to center on California? The Mars MC line runs through Phoenix. It seems that about a quarter of Arizona has already burned down this past spring so don't know what that could entail.

There was also an earthquake, about 5.3, in Colorado so wonder if it was on that Mars line. Arizona is pretty close to Colorado, isn't it?

Biggest earthquake on record to hit Virginia. Looks like Sun-Neptune contacts with Mercury Rx could be among indicators, but as I said I'm not looking at this closely. This chart is really intense.:

Look Ma, No Hands!

No one's behind the wheel at Google and they're bragging about it. For a year they've been sending cars out into the neighborhood to fend for themselves without human intervention. And there hasn't been a single accident until this week when one of their self driven Priuses rear ended another Prius.

I need to write to the insurance company to tell them that with the current line up of planets, namely Mercury (cars) going Rx at 1 Virgo and Mars (bumper cars) at 1 Cancer opposing Pluto you sort of have to expect a little kissy kissy between bumpers. (Actually the kissy kissy part is going to come from Sun conjunct Venus in Leo). At any rate it's a good bunch of aspects for making what Google calls "Automotive History."

Wow this takes the idea of No Fault Insurance to a new level. With Saturn in Libra I'm sure the lawyers are considering this argument.

Google says that a real person was at the wheel and that's why the Prius bashed into the Prius in front of it. You know those computer geeks. They've been letting their cars drive them around for years as it is.

Personally, I suspect that it was just a little love making situation between automobiles. Well...if you want the car to drive on its own you have to expect that it will have it's own feelings as well, don't you?

With this latest update I guess that 4 cars were involved so maybe the person driving the Googlemobile should have googled the speed limit.

2 Small Asteroids

2 Small Asteroids passed between the Moon and the Earth on September 8, 2010. It was a total coincidence that they showed up on the same day. They were discovered on Sept. 5, 2010 in Arizona. They were between 33 and 65 feet wide.

Really fascinating that the first asteroids passed while the New Moon 16 Virgo was close to exact, on the same degree at any rate. The New Moon was in the 1st House during the morning passing. Mercury 7 Virgo Rx was just rising over the Ascendant at 8 Virgo.

The New Moon was conjunct the 8th-7th House cusp when the second asteroid passed. This chart had 2 Aquarius Rising.

The Two Into the One.

Yahoo News posted an article celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the bra. Should have read through the whole thing to figure out how they come up with 100 years but once I figured that they weren't planning on giving dates I had to go somewhere else. I'd sort of like to think that the big wigs at Yahoo sometimes don't have their facts straight. Maybe they were just flumoxed by their subject. More likely I don't have my facts straight. Either/Or, Check this out.

The idea for the Bra in its relatively modern form was "born" in 1913 by a New York Socialite Mary Phelps-Jacobs. This was the year that Pluto was moving from Gemini into Cancer. In a sense, "the twins" had found a new "home."

Jupiter was in conjunction with Uranus in Aquarius. Can't find a more freedom loving combo than that.

Saturn was in conjunction with Pluto at 2-3 degrees Cancer, showing how the Twins were going Corporate in their new home.

Unfortunately Mary couldn't manage to sell her new product. Mercury was Retrograde on this date at 20 Scorpio.

This Mercury Rx is a baddie, or a "longie," as Blaschke calls it. 128 day Synodic Cycle. The SEC will have to go for 128 days without porno, I guess.

San Francisco Bay Bridge Collapse

Astrology could have helped in this case with the Uh Oh It's Mercury Retrograde warning. Mercury rules roads and local transportation so this makes sense.

This is very frightening: The Bay Bridge which links San Francisco to the Berkeley/Oakland area collapsed in the spot where repairs had been made over this past Labor Day Week-end. The Bridge is now closed until further notice.

The Bridge had been scheduled for closure over the long September holiday week-end. Half-way through the repairs the workers found a crack and this kept the Bridge closed until the next Wednesday morning. So the Bridge was closed from September 4-9. That's a long time and this is a major artery. Over the Labor Day Week-end Mercury Stationed Retrograde at 7 Libra. He was also squaring Mars in Cancer and Pluto in Capricorn.

Also over that period of time Saturn was opposing Uranus which was hit by a Full Moon. So, Mercury wasn't working by himself.

Two days ago, on Tuesday the Rod (whatever that is, read this, sorry its Fox but this was just the most informative article I could find) that had been replaced at some point during the repairs fell down during Rush Hour.

This is the same bridge that fell down during the Loma Prieta earthquake. That also hit at Rush House back in 1989. (October 17, 1989, around 5:04 pm). The Astrology is really creepy. Pluto at 1 Capricorn is at the spot where Uranus was at that time. Uranus was conjunct Saturn 9 Capricorn-Neptune 10 Capricorn opposing Jupiter 11 Cancer-Chiron Cancer. And Mercury was at 10 Libra which is a Mercury Return almost to the degree! They say that Mercury Returns like to bring things back to you from the past. They're not kidding (in this case at least)!

Notice also the other outer planet couplings that are similar. Saturn and Uranus (conjunct 1989 now opposing 2009). Jupiter-Neptune-Chiron (opposing in 1989, now conjunct).

Bay Bridge falls apart

Mercury is on the last degree of Libra in this chart, ruling the 3d House and squaring the Nodal Axis. It is also in conjunction with the Sun and is placed angular in the 7th House so is strong in the chart.

The Big Wig planet that stands out to me at least, is Mars. Mars here is ruling the chart, is a singleton in Fire, is the Lead planet of the Locomotive chart shape and is squaring the Sun. It is one degree away from being in the 4th House so it's not quite angular.

Saturn is still trining the Nodal Axis which it disposits. I'd say it's very widely opposing Uranus at this point (about 6 degree orb but the computer program doesn't show the opposition). It is now, however, squaring Pluto which is a destruct and destroy aspect.

Good thing is that nobody was killed. Two vehicles were damaged and I'm sure glad I wasn't driving either one of them.

The Bridge is now closed. You know I think we'll be wishing we would have an earthquake. The sewers are backflowing into the water supply. The bridge is definitely not safe to drive on. All this stuff needs a major demo so things can just be rebuilt.

Kind of bizarre that Saturn, planet that rules building, has been trining the North Node which is in its sign (and conjunct Lilith -- I swear to God Lilith is always there when this kind of poo goes down). I think she's just giving everyone a heads up you stupids.

The Oakland Bay Bridge was opened for traffic on Nov. 12, 1936. This was a New Moon in Scorpio. There was a Saturn-Neptune opposition. It's 73 years old. If "Bridge Years" are the same as "People Years" then I guess it's showing its age.

The Boogeymen of the Inauguration

Obama's swearing in was a Miracle both in acceptance by the U.S. of an African American Leader but also in the peaceful control of a huge crowd. This shows the angular Sun in the 10th House and angular Moon. The Sun was conjunct Mercury and Jupiter (eloquent President born of an immigrant and mixed marriage). The Moon was at the last degree of Scorpio in the 7th House (Public's deepest desires working in harmony and cooperation). Those are my interpretations, at any rate. There were problems with the music due to the cold temperature. YoYo Ma and his Classical friends apparently played to a dubbed version of their performance because their instruments couldn't stay in tune. Aretha Franklin was on Larry King saying that she was unhappy with her performance. But, damn, her hat was the finest confection that ever graced a female head, my knitting forums were going ape face over it.

There were problems with both of these aspects, the Mercury and the Moon as would be interpreted. With Mercury both Retrograde and Cazimi the Sun and with the Void of Course Moon one would expect some snafus and we were not disappointed. The Swearing In happened a bit late at around 12:06pm rather than at noon on the dot. Then the chief Justice messed up the 35(?) words of the swearing in. This was redone one Wednesday but without the Bible. So the actual "words," the Mercury element, didn't quite jell. It doesn't matter, really, but it's always difficult to know whether it's God in the Details or the Devil. I suppose it's best say a Blessing for the Virgo's before all important activities because things like this can be real thorns in the side. I think this is Obama's natal Gemini Moon square Pluto aspect in action anyway.

There was another problem, which could be attributed to the Scorpio Moon. Some Texan politican refused to okay Hillary Clinton's election as Secretary of State until the next day.

I wanted to check out the charts of the two guys who sort of put a clinker in the day's activities to see maybe what are party pooper aspects.

Both are Aquarians, oddly enough (an Aquarian keyword). Both are also Conservatives trying to cope with the aftermath of the Neptune transit to their Suns I suppose. Neptune is the planet of formlessness. It's supposed to break down one's sense of boundaries, thus its normal rulership for compassion for others. Needless to say this is not a Conservative's favorite planet. Conservatives like things to stay the same, like structure, and simple plans and boundaries.

First Boyfriend, Republican John Cornyn from Texas had to input his negativity by ensuring that Hillary Clinton's appointment as Secretary of State was delayed a day. I wanted to see what the dude's problem is.

Sun 13 Aquarius; Moon Taurus; NN 1 Pisces

Cornyn's in that limbo space between his 2d Progressed Lunar Return and his 2 Saturn Return. The second pass is not as quite as big a deal usually. They happen farther apart in years than the first return does. And they say that if you screwed up during your first Saturn Return you don't often make it to your second Saturn return. That last interpretation sounds like office folklore wisdom and I have no idea if it's true or not. Probably it's true some of the time.

Cornyn's got a Cardinal Grand Square in his chart. His Saturn is at 15 Libra and opposing Jupiter at 11 Aries. These square a Venus-Chiron at 8-9 Capricorn opposing Uranus at 11 Cancer. Right now his Progressed Sun is on his Jupiter to the degree so he's outspoken about his opinions. This is sort of a double whammy Sun-Jupiter aspect as transiting Jupiter is conjunct Cornyn's Sun. This is reflected in the Sun-Jupiter conjunction of the event chart.

I'm sorry I can't offer a reasonable interpretation of what a Grand Cross means except that a huge amount of difficult aspects will be tripped off quite frequently in a person's life due to the squares (challenges) and oppositions (opposition, need for balance). Venus conjunct Chiron in Capricorn certainly seems to bring on some loveability & fear issues that are focused outward into the social Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus squares. If someone had thought to send Cornyn a box of See's candies maybe he would have mellowed a bit. Cardinal Signs begin projects, so this was perhaps the Republicans' announcement that they intend to fight everything.

Cornyn's progressed Mercury has begun moving in Retrograde Motion in Aries since he's come in to office. (sometime around 2005? I'm not real sure about date) so he's probably going to become all balled up over a lot of mercurial type of issues concerning getting facts straight and being a pest in general.

Chief Justice John Roberts also messed up during President Obama's Swearing In Ceremony by quoting the words out of order. I thought that Obama had fumbled due to nervousness but apparently it was Roberts who mis-spoke. Later on that night I heard the news trying to replay the Swearing In and realized what a loss this was. Well, there's Mercury Retrograde for you. This one was right on Robert's natal Sun which was close to going through a Return (Solar). And Jupiter was there. And the North Node was there. And Mercury was cazimi. And the Moon was Out-of-bounds. And, boy did he screw up. So, the Sun-Jupiter-Mercury Rx conjunction really points the astro arrows at these guys.

While looking up his birth data I was reminded that Roberts had a seizure on July 30, 2007. This may have a result of an illness. Interesting that at the time of the seizure, his Sun was in the process of progressing in to Aries at the time. Aries and Mars rule the brain and inflamation. Right now his progressed Sun is exactly square natal Pluto and is 7 degrees away from a conjunction with his natal Mars. Boy, I hope he's taking a lot of Vitamin C because that's an inflamatory aspect.

Additionally, transiting Neptune is at 24 Aquarius moving into conjunction with Robert's natal Mercury 26 Aquarius. He has to be careful about any drugs he's taking because they could be causing Mental Fogginess. Either that, or it could have been a Freudian Slip of a super conservative white guy. Neptune rules the subconscious memory.

With these heavy transits to his Mercury and Mars it would make sense that he's really trying to maintain right now. Robert's natal Mercury is in a t-square with Saturn and Pluto so his normally sharp, conservative mind is getting a good fogging over, that's for sure. His thinking could also possibly be getting an opening up to new and better ideas.

There are many aspects to look at. I'll end here. Hope I've got this info right.

"Plow the Fields" 2009

The Chinese New Year will begin on January 25, 2009 at 11:55 PT. We'll be leaving the Year of The Rat and entering the Year of the Ox. I was lucky enough to hear Astrologer Susan Levitt give a talk about how to handle Ox energy which was very enlightening. Levitt's a very entertaining speaker. I think I might forget what my own Chinese sign is before I forget that Suzi Orman was born in the Year of the Horse after seeing Levitt's hilarious impression of TVs favorite financial advisor. You never really realize it but Orman really does look like a Horse rearing its head when she speaks.

Levitt offers a synopsis of Ox Year on the pamphlet she handed out describing it as: "a time of hard work, duty, discipline, and strength. This is not a time for laziness." She compares Ox Year to the Western sign of Capricorn. (She compares Rat Year to Sagittarius).

Levitt offered an interesting comparison with Western Astrology by telling us that Chinese New Year begins on both an Eclipse and a Mercury Rx. It did last year as well.

I looked up the chart for my time zone. (Guess the true chart should be set for China). The Western Chart shows Sun parallel Moon, of course, because it's an Eclipse. This will occur at 7 degrees of Aquarius conjunct Jupiter 5 Aquarius and NN 1o Aquarius; Chiron 13 Aquarius. People with these degrees Fixed Signs in their charts ought to be extra stimulated in some way.

The Mercury Rx at 25 Capricorn will be conjunct Mars at 23 Capricorn. Mercury is Retrograde which could mean that more boo boos (and old friends) from the past will be cycling back into our laps. At any rate, if you don't take care with your words you will be in deep doo doo. Mercury and Mars together can be a bit firey in that respect and Capricorn doesn't like to mince words. Mercury will be Parallel to Pluto and the Nodal Axis. The Markets may have more "pruning" to go through. The Sun and Moon in conjunction with Jupiter might also indicate a very positive, friendly vibe. Join a local group and make friends, but don't tell them everything you think of them....

Opening Bell for Tomorrow Thursday

Mercury has gone Retrograde now in Libra. Libra is ruled by Venus. Mercury and Venus combined ruled the Markets. This is just going to be an extra long transit through Libra for Mercury. Venus just keeps clinging to the Ascendant at Opening Bell. Now she rules the opposite 7th House.

I'm also basically senselessly babbling here but wanted to look at the chart.

I don't have any real knowledge of what Mercury Rx means. The descriptions I've read never make any sense. Mercury Rx, Void of Course Moon and what's the other one? oh yeah, Eclipses, are generally described in superstitious terms. You understand that these are good times to not do anything. You're just supposed to feel afraid, very afraid. It's not even guilt or paranoia, it's Fear. Fear helps you to see the other point of view so Fear has its purpose.

Retrogrades are said to bring back things from the past. I'm a Cancer Sun so I live in the past all the time. And guess Mercury Rx can't make the writing get any worse. So maybe this is why I just cant' catch on the transit.

Right now I've decided that Retrogrades are best thought through a literal description of what they are. They describe a very long transit over a certain set of points. Therefore they create frustration because they give a sense of not moving on. Mercury Retrograde is humbling. It is humbling because it brings up these spots where things have to be looked at over and over. Some people enjoy that. Most people want to move on. Mercury Rx is humbling because it is a reminder that Earth and Inhabitants of Earth are not the Centers of the Solar System. We spin around the Sun so we don't get the viewpoint in which to watch the planets, the Sun does. Our view of the orbits have these little blips where the planets look like they are moving backwards for a while. For the Sun things just really spin around. For earthlings there are these little periods of syncopation, blips in the harmonies. If you like Jazz, you like Syncopation. Retrogrades could be exciting and complex and mysterious, but, like Jazz, they are going to be rooted in difficulties of experience that don't make sense.

The Retrograde of Mercury right now is important because Gemini is now on the 8th House cusp. Mercury is ruling Debt, Bankruptcy, Insurance and what used to be called Investments. Warren Buffet just dumped 5 B in some company, I forget which one, in order to cheer people up. When you think about it, 5B will only pay for 5 days of fighting in Iraq. I hear the Space Station is going up on the Block in 2010, Warren, if you're still looking for swamp property.

What else Mercury Rx happened today? George Bush made a speech. ((((LOL))))) Cancer is now beginning to take over the 8th House and the ruler of Cancer is conjunct the Midheaven. MC = President and Moon = Cancer and Bush is a Cancer so the description is literal. The Moon in tomorrow's chart is conjunct the South Node in Leo as well. That's bad circus. It is opposing Chiron to the degree. That sounds unhappy. This will be the emotional humpday. Venus in Scorpio on the ASC. Moon in Leo on the MC. Chiron-NN-Neptune on the IC.

Okay back to Mercury. Mercury's conjunct Mars in the 12th House and trining Neptune which rules the 12th House within a degree or two. Confusion, Deception, Spaciness. Some sleeze. Some great art is being created right now somewhere on earth. They should bang the Bell with a dozen long stemmed Roses. Just give it up, Wall St.

There might also be a feeling of Denial about what's going on or a trust that things will turn out ok.

The heavy Mercury in Libra transit means that people will continue with Diplomacy. This could be good. 12th House means that they won't understand what each other is saying and probably will be missing parts of information and won't be telling the trust, but Saturn ruling the 3d House, if it doesn't get too depressed might balance that out. It might also push for solutions or wait too long. Saturn's about timing. Saturn's trining Jupiter which is ought to be a good thing. Good for building.

Mercury and Mars disposit to Venus and Venus has moved into Scorpio and is still conjunct the Ascendant. She's shrewd these days and she's sextiling Pluto in H2 which means that she's focused on the problem. Venus and Pluto together show really intense feelings so I guess this is appropriate. Venus also rules the 7th House which is empty. Most of the activity in this chart is on the left hand side of the chart which shows a sense of still being under control.

The 2d House has Sagittarius on the cusp and ruler Jupiter is in Capricorn in the 3d House. Jupiter is strongly connected with Saturn through a trine. If people keep talking they might be able to build a good solution?

Large Hadron Collider

ADDITION/CORRECTION TO ORIGINAL:

Start time for the Collider is 10:28 am Local Time (Geneva, Switzerland). This is a much nicer chart than the ones I looked at. 25 Libra is Rising. Ruler of the Chart, Venus is in her own sign of Libra (H12). She is conjunct Mercury and Mars. They trine the North Node-Neptune conjunction in Aquarius (H4) and square the Moon-Jupiter conjunction in Capricorn (H3). With Neptune being the only outer planet placed on an angle and the Chart ruler in the 12th House, the Mysteries of the Universe might really be solved. The Big Bang Aspect of Sun opposing Uranus is placed off the Angles. Pluto is still unaspected to any planets down in the 3d House but is in aspect to both ASC and MC. Both Jupiter and Pluto stationed Direct yesterday so they are assured of a long life without suffering any Retrogrades by Progression.

They're calling it the Big Bang Machine. The Swiss have built a 17 mile wide tunnel under the ground somewhere outside of Geneva and hope to answer the great mysteries of the Universe with it. I hope they don't knock the Clocks out of whack, or worst yet, harm Our Astrodienst Folks and Free Online Computer Software in any way.

Other than this I don't have a clue what the thing does. It's called a Large Hadron Collider and this is what it's proposing to do:

"LHC experiments will address questions such as what gives matter its mass, what the invisible 96 percent of the Universe is made of, why nature prefers matter to antimatter and how matter evolved from the first instants of the Universe's existence."

That's from the CERN website that gives how many seconds till tee off but in Swiss time:

I probably don't have the time right for when they're flipping the switch but the website says that a live Webcast will play at 8:30pm. I initially tried to count the time out by myself and got hopelessly lost in time zones but came up with a really cool chart fro 3:30pm that has a Galactic Center-Pluto Sagittarius Ascendant. Still exceptional, though, with this chart is that the 3 Outermost planets will be Singletons: Uranus in Water, Neptune in Fixed, Pluto in Fire.

With this 8:30 am chart Pluto is conjunct a 4 Capricorn Midheaven from the 9th House so still connected with an angle. There's a tight conjunction of Mercury-Venus-Mars at 14-15 Libra that's conjunct the Descendant. While the Outer Planets aren't working in cohoots with anybody the Inner Planets are colluding in a huddle on an Angle (and disposing to Venus as they ought to). That's got to say something about Scale. I think they're going to try to study Infinity through Minutae. The Outer Planets through the Inner Planets.

Mars rules this 8:30 pm chart (assuming the time is correct). That's pretty impressive for something called a Big Bang Machine.

Although this is the first run of the Collider, it won't be officially open until Oct. 21. Between that time Mercury will go retrograde so will hold close to this spot for a very long time. Astrologers aren't real fond of Mercury Rx. I believe that I read that this "machine" is its own prototype so there's a chance that there might be a couple of snags along the way in learning how to use it.

The Virgo Sun (H6) will be opposing Uranus (12) and conjunct Saturn (h6) (Saturn & Uranus not in aspect). That sounds like a great set-up for a Particle Blaster. Saturn in Virgo is a great one for the Sciences and Uranus always likes a new whirligig. 17 miles, wow, that's huge. I keep getting it confused with 17 Mile Drive down in the Monterey area, one of the most beautiful drives on earth.

Mad As Hell and Not Taking It Anymore - High Price of Gas

64 year old Diane Craig went into a Gasoline Station in Danville this morning and set a fire in the Ladies Room. She returned the key, left, and another Lady went in and found the fire. The Police got a phone call at 10:00 am. By then Craig had moved on to another Gas Station and set another fire in the Ladies Room. Then the Police got a Phone Call from a Starbucks where some unknown woman had set a fire in their Ladies Room. Then the kindly Police Officers found the Lady sitting at a McDonalds with her 8 remaining Fire Starter Logs. She said she woke up this morning and decided to protest the High Price of Gas.

The Police arrested Craig for Arson and while on the way to the Jail they got into an Accident with another Car. The Driver in the other car was arrested for not driving with a License. Wow, just try to protest the high price of Gas while Mercury is in Retrograde and trining Neptune.

I haven't been able to figure out all this Inflationary Prices thing and so reading today's chart is a good way to begin my studies. I know there have been all kinds of bubbles in the economy, one after the other. Ray Merriman has related them as part of Uranus' way of transiting through a sign. Bubbles in Technology, Bubbles in Real Estate, Bubbles in Gold, Bubbles in Oil, Bubbles in Commodities. (Why is there never a Bubble in Labor Wages?) So, for one, this is just how it is. What goes Up must come Down. But before it comes Down it's got to go up and if you're on the Ground and not in the Balloon you are left out. And it always moves upward, kind of like the amount of Co2 in the air. And this is why we all feel like we've fallen down the rabbit hole most of the time.

Last year Jupiter and Pluto were in Sagittarius which is as high as you can go. And now Jupiter and Pluto are in Capricorn. Pluto is at the Aries Point in Capricorn. That's the tippy top of the chart. No place to go but down. Pluto doe sos like to prune whatever it touches. Pruning is an elegant part of the design process.

But, anyway, according to Rex Bills, Inflation is ruled by Neptune (Jupiter). So is Gasoline. So is Coffee. And, although the police don't know why Craig set fire to the Starbuck's bathroom, I do. Their coffee tastes like gasoline. Neptune. 3 bucks for a cup of coffee that tastes like gasoline and dissolved paper cup. Now that's Inflation. Set the fire, Ms. Craig.

So why this morning? Craig said she woke up and knew she needed to protest today. Apparently she bought 11 Fire Starter Logs. (Read my blog called "10 or 12" in order to understand the mystery behind that number). God knows the Ladies Rooms are always so filthy they need to be burned down.

Rex Bills says that sleeping is ruled by Neptune and Pisces. Neptune right now is conjunct the North Node so is very very prominent. Neptune rules Gasoline, Inflation and Starbucks coffees. Mercury rules "Waking from Sleep." Mercury right now is one of the two signs that it rules, Gemini, and Mercury is Retrograde and just coming out of conjunction with a New Moon. So, the Medium is the Message and the Messages here are Good.

Craig, who is said to be 64 years old, may have been born in 1944 when both Saturn and Uranus were in Gemini and so would be totally set up to rebel (Uranus) and to rebel as an older woman (Saturn touched by transiting Venus-Sun-Mercury). Retrogrades describe an extra long transit of a planet, extra time to think about things. Craig's chart along with others born around this time, are being given an extra long time to tell us what's on their minds. We need these 64 Year Old Women to Wake Up America right now. This price gouging is abusive.

So back to today's chart:

Arson is all about Mars, and so is Fire. At 10:00 am Leo was ruling the Chart. Leo co-rules Fire. In the First House of the Chart, Mars was in Leo conjunct the South Node. Mars rules the Midheaven. Fire is co-ruled by Leo. Mars was in Leo. The Chart is ruled by the Sun.

Mars and the South Node are also in opposition to the North Node and Neptune (Gasoline, Inflation, Starbuck's Coffee). It would be really great if the masses, as ruled by Aquarius, would also follow along and protest. C'mon America! The Weather is great right now. Get a little sunshine. Picket and Scream. Damn Neptune conjunction, we're all asleep. Only one lone individualist speaking out, torching ladies rooms.

The Nodal Axis right now is trining a conjunction of Sun, Venus (women, money, values) and Mercury Rx (waking from sleep, not getting to finish lighting her logs, police took 3 phone calls to find her, car crash, no driver's licence, hospital, whew, whadda day).

With Moon in Cancer opposing Jupiter it makes sense that Ms. Craig was found while eating at a McDonald's. I don't know if she was trying to light a fire in McDonald's. I'm pretty certain that nothing McDonald's serves is biodegradable. I think it's only flammable once it hits your stomach.

So, Diane Craig. May your neck heal properly. Certainly nothing was wrong with your thinking before you were arrested, hope it's all ok now.

Shuttle Launch STS-122 / Sick Astronaut

NASA has announced that operations on the current Shuttle Launch are being delayed due to an undisclosed but not life threatening illness of one of the astronauts. I quickly looked at the charts and noticed some big problems (Hindsight, of course).

The Shuttle launched during a Mercury Rx. That doesn't really matter much except that Mercury was conjunct Schlegel's natal Saturn in Virgo by a degree. These are conjunct Schlegel's South Node in Virgo. Virgo being the sign of Health and Intestines in particular I suppose I'd suspect a stomach ailment. Schlegel has a natal Saturn at 29 Virgo so Pluto is squaring that planet. He's also approaching his Saturn Return.

Another major feature is that the Shuttle was launched during a Solar Eclipse. Man, now that one I wouldn't recommend. The chart has 6 Cancer Rising which means that it is ruled by the Moon, which again points to fluids problems, stomach problems. There's a big stellium in Aquarius in this chart which falls in the Launch Chart's 8th house. With regards to Health, 8th house indicates Medical Research. I wouldn't get anywhere near those petri dishes myself.

Also, extremely stressful to see is that Schlegel has a natal conjunction of Sun-Pluto in Leo possibly also conjunct natal Moon in Leo. This is between 11 Leo (Sun) and 20 Leo (pluto). When the Shuttle Launched, not only was it a Solar Eclipse, but The Sun was at 19 Aquarius conjunct Neptune-Moon-NN. Neptune-Pluto-Moon also points to toxicity. He could also have flipped out and seen UFOs.

Schlegel's natal Uranus is at 12 Cancer and his Mars is at 21 Cancer meaning that both planets were in the Launch Chart's 1st House (physical body) and about to pass over the ASC into the 12th house of hidden health problems (and poisonings).

He shouldn't have snuck that Taco Bell before taking off... I hope he is well on the way to recovery. NASA has said that his problem is not life threatening.
