Getting Started With Bunny Berigan

Cardinal Signs are the ignition points of the horoscope wheel.  They represent the Solstice and Equinox Points which show beginnings of the Seasons on planet earth.Cardinal Signs represent beginnings and starting points.

So this reminded me of one of my favorite songs.

I sort of wondered if Bunny had Cardinal Sign issues in his chart.  He did.  He had a Cardinal t-square with apex Mars 15 Libra squaring Uranus 14 Capricorn opposing Neptune 18 Cancer Rx.  He was also born with Libra Rising which is a Cardinal Sign.

Berigan had that big natal a Cardinal Sign t-square in his natal chart.  And he lived through the Great Depression which was the last time that Saturn-Uranus and Pluto were in a big Cardinal Sign t-square configuration with each other.

And in 1937 when Berigan performed "I Can't Get Started" there was a Jupiter-Pluto opposition over his natal Uranus-Neptune.

Berrigan was a Scorpio Sun with Libra Rising.  I think it's interesting to notice that Mars, the Great Ignition of the Zodiac was in Retrograde for half of 1937 between Libra and Scorpio which means that Mars spent half that year pretty much standing over his Ascendant between his natal Mars in Libra (H12), his Ascendant-Mercury Retrograde conjunction and his 1st House Sun.  That's a lot of fire on the starting point of one's chart.

So, if you are currently spinning your wheels in a ditch somewhere because the Cardinal Sign stuff is just too overwhelming, it just means that it's time to do a little dance.

Berigan died in 1942 at age 33.  The Doctor told him that he would die if he didn't stop drinking and didn't stop playing trumpet.  He said he could do neither. One can see the stubbornness of a Fixed Sun and Moon here.  Age 33 is the year that one's Solar Return Chart puts one's planets pretty much back in the houses where they were when one was born. 

Oh yeah, and I can't talk about a musician without discussing Venus.  Venus in this chart is conjunct Lilith at the end of Virgo (H11).  It opposes Saturn in Aries (fall) and squares Pluto-NN at end of Gemini.  That can also sort of explain the tragic short life.

The Pulitzer Prize and the Mars Rx

Just as mars in Virgo stations direct the Pulitzer prizes are announced and lo behold two categories don't receive any awards. Mars in Virgo is so critical that during this extended retrograde period nobody could see fit to give any awards for editorial writing or fiction. Virgo rules editing, so, basically, all attempts at editing last year were edited out. Virgo lacks drama and gets a little bogged down in details so the lack of a fiction award isn't all that surprising. Virgo loves horror and I think that's the only subject that it could Overlook typos on. Virgo is actually strongly associated with writing because it rules editing and perfecting the details, you do want to have some in your chart.

It's also good to pay attention to the fact that people my age are probably now starting to give out the awards and we were born at the beginning of the Pluto in Virgo generation. Not only has the mars Rx been affecting our natal plutos, but Neptune-Chiron has been opposing. That's wipeOut, thank you Noel tyl. And Pluto in Capricorn is training so our earth stinginess is running on full fire. I hate us right now. Actually I've never really liked us very much except for the organic farmers.

"1957-J-No. 2" Gets Lap Dance

A drunk tattoo artist went into the Clyfford Still Museum in Denver, Colorado, pulled down her pants, and had what sounds like sexual relations with one of Clyfford Still's paintings, a 9 1/2 by 12 foot abstraction in Red, Black, White and Yellow that was created in 1957.

Our Lady of the Taboo is currently 36 years old, suffers from alcoholism, and, has done what I wanted to do every time I saw a Clyfford Still painting. And although I know what she did is wrong, taboo as it were and pretty damn rude, I can't help but feel awestruck. Still's paintings are the best representations of American spirit I can think of.

Maybe Age of Aquarius will only allow robots to get crazy. It's too difficult to do stuff like this whilst sober and medicated and spied on by spy cams and cell phones and traffic cams and computer hackers from foreign countries who can get away with being here just because the mob brought them over and now I even read that the police are using the drones to catch people in North Dakota.

As I said, Clyfford Still painted Freedom, the old time U.S. spirit. He was a Sagittarius. And his masterpiece just got peed on, 10,000 dollars worth. (We only think in terms of dollars now, either because we have too much or we don't have any or both).

I'm sort of wondering why Neptune in Aquarius didn't act out sooner. The planet of chaos in the sign of weirdness. Last degree, last regrets, I guess.

I don't have Carmen Tisch's birth date. Thank God, as if she doesn't have enough to worry about right now, she could have me fiddling around with her planetary placements. All I know is that Sobriety sucks until you get to her advanced level of intoxication.

Tisch is 36 years old which means she's heading into her 2d Nodal Return. The Nodes represent Life Path/Destiny, or something close to thatso she is at an age which maybe is connected with reassessing one's purpose in life and why one has or hasn't made it yet, same as what happens right before one turns 19.

Interesting that the event chart shows the Nodal Axis crossing the ASC/DESC angle. Over at the Descendant, The North Node was conjunct both that angle and the chart ruler, Mercury. Still was a Sagittarius in early degrees so his natal Sun would have just passed over the Descendant/NN/Mercury conjunction.

Neptune, planet of boundarilessness and superconsciousness, often connected with Artists (but not really in Still's chart), and whatever else you call things you can't possibly understand in one lifetime, was conjunct the Midheaven. That's the other angle on the Astrology Wheel and so is another significant placement.

Appropriately, I found this quote made by Clyfford Still over at Wikipedia:

"It's intolerable to be stopped by a frame's edge."

I told you he was a Sadge. They don't like being hemmed in.

And, yeah, the booze helps in Carmen Tisch's case.

When hooking up Clyfford Still's natal chart to the event chart we see all kinds of interesting connections with the planet Pluto. Pluto rules Sex, Death and all that is Taboo and cant' be spoken about. Pluto rules magneticism and the occult. It's the higher octave of Mars so instead of chasing the way that Mars does it draws you in and makes you confront the Devil. Pluto rules the Human Will. And Human Will is what Human creativity is all about.

Still's natal Pluto was at 21 Gemini so was rising at the time of his painting's interaction with an admirer. That means that it was in conjunction with the Ascendant and South Node of the event chart.

Since the ASC/DESC show the compulsion for human relations I suppose this would be a great time for a dead man's soul to break out of the underworld and enjoy a little one on one with the good looking girl staring at your painting. Too bad she had to hit and scratch it. I think she also slid down it. Why wasn't anybody taking a video of this event? God, the only thing that ever gets photographed anymore are mass shootings.

Still's Natal Node Axis was squaring the transiting Axis-ASC/DESC pole as well. Maybe he was thinking he could reincarnate this way? Weird.

Anyways, Still's natal Neptune was also being pulled out from its proverbial grave as there was a tight opposition from the Sun and Pluto on this day as well. Natal Neptune is at 8 Cancer. Transiting Sun c. Neptune opposing From 8 Capricorn. Neptune and Pluto are strongly connected with psychic experience so I sort of wonder what actually was going on in that museum from a psychic realm point of view. Noel Tyl does describe Neptune-Pluto connections as "Wipe Outs." In this case, it seems that it was more of a scratch out. Oh, and Tisch was so drunk she managed to wet what would have been her pants had she been wearing them.

Ursus Wehrli

The idea of cleanliness and order do not go hand in hand with the traditional modern idea of creating art. (I know, traditional and modern are not supposed to go together to describe the same thing, but we are in a time of transition right now).

A new artist gives us a new slant, however.

Swiss photographer and comedian and performance artist Ursus Wehrli has published a new book in which he photographs old art cleaned up and set up to look orderly.

I was hoping things would line up perfectly in a Virgonian kind of way and Wehrli would turn out to be a Virgo, the sign most connected with cleanliness and obsessive compulsive disorder. Well, he's just coming off of a 30 year progression through that sign, so I was close.

If the date I've found is correct Wehrli turns out to be a Leo Sunp maybe even was born on a Leo New Moon. That means that he's more of an artist than anything else. Leo is the creative sign. Photography can't exist without light and who provides better light than a person with his Sun in the sign which it rules?

Wehrli's natal chart is more telling. He was born in 1969 just after the big conjunction of Uranus-Pluto in Virgo. But his Virgo in this chart, assuming the date is correct, shows Pluto within one degree conjunction of the Virgo South Node. Pluto is the other ruler of obsessive compulsive disorder. This guy is channeling one wiggy past life right now.

Check it out. This guy was born to make all of us want to be obsessive compulsives. Throw out the meds and join the party.

Wehrli's progressed chart is really incredible for showing big changes going on in his life right now, possibly connected with achieving Fame. Three of his planets have changed signs by progression (secondary).

His progressed Sun is on the AP at 2 Libra so it's just spent the last 30 years dealing with public hygiene-organizational compulsions issues in the sign of Virgo. This great gift is coming to the public attention on the Aries Point.

His progressed Venus has just moved in to the sign of Virgo at 2 degrees. So his art (Venus) is all about things Virgonian. Cleanliness is just the punchbowl at the beginning of the party. This guy is probably going to get totally John Cagian on us, maybe a little Buddha party as well.

Progressed Mars (creative spark, self will) is at 3 Capricorn, also just past the Aries Point. That's seriously good for career.

And his progressed Mercury (communication style) is at 12 Libra and went Rx back around 2003-4 or so. He's thinking and rethinking how to mediate what is balance and harmony.

Ai WeiWei

Talked about Virgo artist Ai WeiWei of China in a previous post. An unveiling of WeiWei's latest work in New York has been post-poned because of the death of bin Laden. The work was due to be unveiled today. Very interesting that it is called "Circle of Animals/Zodiac Heads." It's a set of 12 sculptures that represent the Chinese Zodiac. WeiWei refers back to an historical pillaging by foreigners in China back in 1860. Two heads showed up at auction somewhere (sorry, can't remember which auction house). So, the piece represents the horrors of pillaging.

He also has set the work into modern New York because he feels that New York, with its wide ethnic variety, comes closest to showing how the entire Zodiac interacts.

WeiWei hasn't been heard from since his April 3 arrest. One article I read has said that under torture he confessed to Tax Evasion. He was arrested under suspicion that he was helping to plan a rebellion.

NASA's WISE

NASA has put together a website which publishes all kinds of pictures and information which their WISE (Wide-Field Infrared Survey Explorer) is taking.

Wow. A broad-minded triple Sagittarius! How's that for something called "Wide-Field?"

Sun is conjunct Venus in the first House and is squaring a tight conjuntion of H3 planets Chiron 23 Aquarius-Jupiter 24 Aquarius-Neptune 25 Aquarius. This means that chart ruler Jupiter is in the 3d house of communications.

Moon is in the 12th House of the chart and is squaring Uranus which is in the 3d house (c. IC) and is also ruler of that house.

Thought my computer program was broken. Saturn back in 2009 during this launch was at 4 Libra so it has barely budged from that spot. It was in the 10th House of this chart which is its natal house and was squaring 1st House Pluto 3 Capricorn.

Mercury was also in the 1st house.

Where was Mars? Oh, Mars was in Leo up in the 9th house trining the Sun-Venus conjunction.

F%ck a Duck

Just read that insurance company Aflac has fired the comedian who has played the voice of its company Duck logo for the past 10 years. Gilbert Gottfried published jokes on his Twitter account about the tragedies in Japan over the week-end. Twitter is certainly made for people who can think of one-liners. Problem is, once it goes out there, you can't take it back.

I wanted to check the guy's chart to see if he has Mercury Retro or something. Actually, I wanted to see what kind of Mercury and Venus a guy has who can make a living off of talking like a duck for 10 years.

Turns out Gottfried's got a chart that could compare with a nuclear power plant, a 9.0 earthquake or a tsunami. Jupiter-Uranus conjunction. Saturn-Pluto conjunction.

And, yeah, I thought, wow, Pisces are supposed to be sensitive. Well, if you just watched those waves take over the Japanese coastline I guess you know how that goes. These guys are just like the rest of us, just some of them can figure out how to get away with it. And if you saw how big those waves were you know sort of how they do it.

And so, answer here is: bad luck, Mars was transiting over Gottfried's Sun over the week-end. The guy just had an impulse control problem. To top it off, natal Sun is unaspected which means that it doesn't flow with the rest of the planets in his chart. When Gottfried's Sun receives a transit or such, it just balloons out and projects. That's why the guy is a performer. Just now he will be performing for some other company.

Pisces does explain the alter ego with the shore bird.

A person's voice is shown through his natal Mercury and Venus. I don't have a birth time so can't look at what was going on with the Ascendant and Midheaven, or Houses.

Gottfried's Mercury is 15 Aquarius and is unaspected to other planets in his chart. Like his natal Sun, his Mercury, planet of communication and talkie talk, just tends to take on a life of its own. In Aquarius things get a little electrical, a little fast, very intuitive and very weird. Shock value. So when Gottfried riffs, he takes it out as far and as zany as it can go. And the Internet, ruled by Mercury and Aquarius, goes out really, really far, all the way to the CEO at Aflac.

And then there's that thing about how everything you put out there is permanent and turns almost instantly into a demerit against you. Nobody on the Internet can afford to read your jokes and laugh. Nothing's more inappropriate than sitting in an Internet hot spot and actually LOL'ing into a computer screen. That's just plain creepy (LOL) and maybe that's why there's no sense of humor on the internet and why people are content to post pictures of baby animals (ROTFLOL).

Unaspected Sun. Unaspected Mercury. Didn't the insurance company cover him for this part of his personality? Maybe he's eligible for workman's comp. You can sort of just imagine him sitting there, watching all that CNN footage (I even found myself watching FOX for a while) and freaking out, probably drinking, and typing into his iphone whatever came to mind. And unfortunately he was on a roll. Mars transits only come along once every two years. Too bad about the Send Button. Press it. Drink Me. It's so much Fun.

And then about a week later you will think about what the hell you just did.

Gottfried's Mercury has progressed to 8 Taurus. He's in the early stage of learning the Taurus way. Don't know what that means, but it's definitely working at a slower pace. Maybe his next gig will be to mimic a Bull. Maybe he'll just kick more shit. Did I mention that he just had a Nodal Return in Capricorn conjunct Pluto. That's some guilty shit, for sure.

Mercury is what you say and how you say it. Your actual voice is ruled by Venus, the way your throat resonates. Gottfried's natal Venus is at 26 Capricorn. That's sort of dry and crusty and I don't want to know how old his first girlfriend was. Capricorn does like Black Humor though and with natal Venus opposing Jupiter 21 Cancer conjunct Uranus 25 Cancer and squaring Neptune 28 Libra one can see that something special and light hearted is related to the voice here.

Right now, progressed Venus is at 2 Aries. Whatever his new Mercury doesn't kick, his new Venus will ram into.

Oh yeah, oh yeah, just some notes about cycles: Just after Solar Return and Nodal Return c. Pluto.

Vogue Stages the Star Signs

The December issue of British Vogue hired set designer Shona Heath to stage her idea of each Star Sign. My favorite is Aries because of the knitting. I think the model is wearing a hat that looks like rams horns. In the back a huge sweater is knitted in Aran style. I also love the Cancer one. The model is walking around wearing a huge seashell.

Trending: Tilda Swinton

Actress Tilda Swinton was topping the trending lists over on Yahoo. She has two movies coming out pretty soon. In one she plays an Ice Queen in the C.S. Lewis series.

Ice is frozen water. That will be ruled by Neptune and Pluto and Saturn and other "cold" signs which show a lot of reserve. Swinton's natal chart naturally fits this as she is a Scorpio Sun with a Virgo North Node. Her natal Sun is conjunct Neptune and Mercury Rx in Scorpio. Not only does this enhance the Icey and Ethereal Qualities, but it bestows great talents as an actor (dissolving into another character) and photogenia (is that a word?). However, this isn't a personality that "shows off" in a flamboyant way so it may be thought of as sort of cold.

Right now the transits and Swinton's progressions have lined up in the sign of Capricorn. Not only is Capricorn related to Saturn which is a sign which is very conservative and reserved, but it rules Government and Leaders. Queens and Kings are still ruled by Leo and Leo's ruler the Sun. At the point when Swinton was leading the Trending Polls, maybe she still is, a stellium of planets is passing through the sign of Capricorn and this was hanging out up at the highest part of the astrological wheel. Mars 2 Capricorn, NN 4 Capricorn, Pluto 5 Capricorn, Mercury 6 Capricorn (and Stationing Rx).

Swinton's natal chart and progressed chart are hooked into this point as well. Also at this point is Swinton's natal Jupiter at 2 Capricorn. Her natal Saturn is at 14 Capricorn. And, most importantly, her progressed Sun (Queen) is at 4 Capricorn.

I don't have a birth time for Swinton so I don't know her entire natal chart.

David Cassidy Pleads Not Guilty to DUI

Well, my Blogger account looks really screwed up right now. Do you think that Wikileaks is after me? I do. At any rate, nobody else is. Just googled myself on Alexa website and my popularity is down to something like 770,000. Do they ever congratulate you for that type of thing?

Wow, there's so much software attached to my keyboard that it's almost impossible to type. Oh no, that's my Virus scanner which I turned on due to paranoia about being tracked by Wikileaks.

Anyway, like the U.S. Government, I'm not popular. So I thought I'd go to Yahoo to see who is trending and then figure out why they are trending for whatever they are trending for. And then if I also write about them really quick and publish it my Alexa rating will go up.

Today we have David Cassidy. He's an Aries so he likes to be #1.

Boy, does this take me back. For some reason I can't remember David Cassidy without also remembering my Francie doll. Francie was the total Capricorn. She was like Barbie but with better bone structure and with legs that bent. And, just like a Capricorn, when you bent her knees they creaked. And I remember bending her knees to the song "I think I Love You" as a sort of percussive audience participation thing.

Maybe I've got my boy singers all mixed up. I think that Francie pre-dated David Cassidy. But right now I think he's feeling older than Francie. This is just a temporary thing and it will pass. David's progressed Sun has a few more years to go before leaving the adolescent, Mercurial sign of Gemini.

David probably doesn't realize that he really is old and that the reason why he got caught driving drunk is because he is an old drunk. Reality doesn't interest him. That's why he's an artist. His natal Aries Sun is opposing Neptune in Libra. So, yeah, he likes to drink. So what? Well, right now Saturn is right on top of natal Neptune. Saturn symbolizes Father Time and Old Age. And, like I said, Saturn reminds you that you're old from the knees on up. His teeth might be bugging him. Well, alcohol just eats right through the gums and before you know it, no teeth. Or maybe he has a bad dentist.

And then there's David Cassidy's Moon. You always want to look at the water elements to see why a Dude's filling up. Plus the Moon rules David Cassidy's entire chart. Cassidy's a naturally happy guy. His Aquarius Moon is conjunct natal Jupiter. What an optimist. He just doesn't see why we any of us needs boundaries. Just drink from the spigot, David, it's got less walls than a glass or a bottle.

Jupiter just wants to fill up and up and up. Those cups just overflow, when you're young it's with Love and when you're old it's with Beer and when you're old and rich it's with Chevas. Gawd, you were hot. You still are. You just look gross when you're barfing and swerving all over the road. I would totally not have wanted to watch that sobriety test. I'm sure the cop is still laughing his head off about it. With the current transits and progressions and what not, you've got to be careful. You can't get away with anything.

What's the matter? Did the batteries run down on your police scanner? Or were you just to drunk to notice when it was beeping? Or had you passed out? Well, with your chart ruler being the tidal flowing Moon which is conjunct Jupiter who's just a girl who cain't say no being passed over by transiting rosy colored Neptune conjunct Chiron who always gets caught at everything at the end of Aquarius. You got caught. It's so that you can come back to humanity, Lover Boy, and sing us some new songs. You've forgotten what us minions are doing and you need to come back down to earth. I couldn't throw my Francie Doll away so my Mother did it for me and my heart has been broken ever since. But, enough about me.

I think you can lie your way out of this one. You have Mars in Virgo so you know how to finesse the fine details of reality. You're being asked to sober up by Saturn, however, if only you could get over the relationship problems you had with your Dad and you won't be able to do that. You're older now than he was when he had his first grandchild. If you haven't learned by now. . . well, you had heard enough of that by the time you were two to last you for a lifetime. Be Happy. Put in the old Bobby Mcferrin 8 track and cheer up.

Why do you feel like you're always being picked on?

With progressed Mars just passing into Libra and squaring natal Uranus and the transiting Nodal Axis/Pluto conjunction, wow, you really need to be careful while driving, even if you're sober. With that aspect you need to be careful walking. You can thank the Mr.Police Officer for channeling your Daddy complex. He saved your ass. (Nice one that it is). This aspect could do a lot for your sex appeal by the way. That's why you're Number 1 Trending on Yahoo right now.

At this point, you don't even need a Francie Doll. You can use your own knees. (Teehee, I know that's mean and it's dumb).

Living the Dream

California is about to have a Neptune Return, but, we're not quite there yet. The exhaustion is mounting that's for sure. We definitely need a new act and a new art form. But, in California, I keep hearing very cynical people yelping about how they've met yet another person who is out here "living the dream." "Living the dream" usually involves doing something really stupid.

So, here's one of those stories.

A rock band of aging 30-something ego problems blocked 4 out of 5 lanes of traffic on an L.A. freeway yesterday afternoon at Rush Hour by jumping on top of a truck plastered with their band logo. The marketing was all there. People who drive the rush hour traffic in L.A. are never in a very good mood and sitting in one's car for extended periods of time isn't really all that special of an event. What they are pissed off about is that the band has no talent and this was just another obnoxious act of desperation.

The lack of talent will hopefully ease up when Neptune hits Pisces. Granted the drivers on the L.A. freeways are among the most chemically altered in the World, but, still, they could use a little Neptune influence themselves to enjoy this stupid shit. Best to put this stuff off until after the Saturn, Uranus, Pluto stuff passes over. Those planets like to use the Infrastructure for other purposes.

Viktor Schauberger

This post is probably about the guy who invented flying saucers! That's right, June Lockhart, if the United States Air Force hadn't confiscated this guy's papers maybe he could have finished his design and the Jetsons Cartoon hour would have become reality. (We won't discuss the Global Warming "embarassment"). Schauberger knew all along that modern 20th century carbon based machinery knocks everything out of balance.

Schauberger was a forester who grew up under a tree in Austria. He was fascinated by the way that streams and creeks flow. He used his first observations on nature to figure out ways to transport logs down streams in ways which saved huge amounts of transportation money for the foresters. He developed a theory that "nature creates vortices to create equilibria." As 4th House/Cancer rules drains I guess the astrology is right on target. Schauberger developed theories about the structure of water. He said it is densest when cold and also just after the Full Moon. Interesting because he himself was born just after a Full Moon. I'm getting and probably misinterpreting his theories from the blurb on Wikipedia so go there for a better explanation. There is a great movie by Caleb Coates about Schauberger's theories. The first part has an incredible explanation about how Trout live perfect lives just because of how they are shaped. They can let the current of the water flow right past them in perfect waves while they remain motionless. All they have to do is open their mouths in order to let the algae and plankton food come right into them. It's one of my all time favorite scenes from a documentary.

As the Wikipedia article says, Schauberger felt that "nature creates vortices to create equilibria." I was looking for Libra influence in his chart and didn't notice anything outstanding. However, his North Node is at 30 Virgo. This means that it had just finished an entire transit of Libra so he was perhaps born with a special amount of knowledge in all things Libra. It is also conjunct Uranus which shows an ability to be very innovative. And this is still considered an Aries Point which brings public prominence to whatever expression he uses of that energy.

Schauberger was trying to figure out ways to create effortless natural motion. This hooks into his natal chart and the transits of his life perfectly as Schauberger was born during a very powerful trine aspect. He was born during the big 19th century conjunction of Neptune to Pluto so he was part of a generation that was given an abnormal amount of information about all things mysterious and beyond understanding of normal human behaviors. These are the two outer most "Planets" in the solar system (well until recently). They are also the only two planets which human beings can never experience an entire cycle of in their lifetimes.

Neptune 25 Taurus c. Pluto 3 Gemini was trining an exact conjunction of Uranus to the North Node at 30 Virgo in Schauberger's chart which I talked about earlier. Uranus rules innovation and Virgo is an earth sign known for exceptional abilities in technology and understandings of how things work. This trine may actually expand out into a Grand Trine with Schauberger's natal Aquarius Moon. How's that for an innovator of working with "effortless natural motion" and the structure of water and how things flow and really incredible understandings of how to work with, not against, Nature? If you want to understand how to make things move, don't build a motor (Mars), let them flow in the direction that works best. Yay! Come on Americans, work this!

Okay, I don't have a time for his Moon but it will be in Aquarius.

So, it appears that Schauberger fell in with a bad crowd. Namely, he fell in with Hitler. Grand Trines can make a person a little too trusting. I've seen them come up in the charts of spies, however, because they can usually help a person get out of whatever he gets in to.

According to Wiki, Schauberger first met Hitler in 1934. So perhaps he willingly fell in with Nazi ways of thinking at first, eventually he was forced to work for them. Maybe at that point Hitler was interesting. The Swastika was originally an ancient symbol for something I don't know what. It looks like things got weird really fast, however, and by Schauberger was sent to a mental hospital in 1941 where he was incarcerated. He was forced to design for the Nazis after that. In 1944 he had designed something called a Repulsine which is basically a UFO. In 1945 he designed a Klimator which was to cool and warm air in living spaces.

After the war the U.S. kept Schauberger in custody for 9 more months. At that point they and the Russians confiscated his papers and prototypes. The timing hooks up too beautifully with the U.S. interest in UFOs. The War ended 1945. The U.S. Air Force set up various projects which studied Unidentified Flying Objects from 1947 to 1969. These were called Project Sign, Project Grudge, and Project Blue Book. Kenneth Arnold (I wrote about his sightings in a previous blog post) reported the first sighting of a UFO at Mount Rainier, Washington on June 24, 1947. The guy who was in charge of Project Blue Book was also a Cancer. It looks like Cancers have a natural fascination with the vortices. I guess also that Pluto's transit over their Cancer Suns early in life gave them a little extra oomph in occult understandings.

So, back to Schauberger's natal chart. Mercury 13 Cancer is out of bounds in his natal chart at 24 degrees 25 minutes. This says that there is something exceptional in his thinking processes. His memory would have been really long, it would have gone all the way back to the big bang probably. Mercury is conjunct Sun 9 Cancer. Both of these would have passed over Venus 25 Cancer by progression early on. Perhaps this is why he began to understand the need to keep things in balance early on. He has no planets in Fire in his chart, perhaps this explains why he has such an interest in motion and speed and expense of energy.

So then the yucky. Here comes Hitler. Schauberger was born with no planets Retrograde. That's sort of unusual but also indicates that he didn't have to doubt himself much early on and can lead to great leaps of creativity. Schauberger's Mercury Stationed Retrograde in 1935 the year after he met Hitler. This was at 19 Virgo. (Remember, he's got that conjunction of Uranus-NN on the last degree of Virgo.) This will show that something is slowing down in his mental processes. In his case "slowing down" could be interpreted in really interesting ways. Either way, his judgement and ability to express himself clearly might not have been at peak performance. Also, his progressed Sun was at 26 Leo which is squaring his natal Neptune-Pluto conjunction over the Taurus-Gemini cusp. Sun squares to Neptune-Pluto? OO-boy, that's just a tough one. By 1941 he was halfway through creation of his UFO. He was also sent to a mental institution. Considering the progressions, he may have been acting oddly, but wouldn't you be acting oddly as well if this is the type of stuff you were capable of creating? At any rate, Neptune rules being incarcerated, Pluto:paranoia, so, there you have it.

In 1941 when Schauberger was incarcerated there was a conjunction of Saturn-Uranus at the cusp of Taurus-Gemini (1 degree for Uranus) which was trining a conjunction of Neptune to the North Node at the end of Virgo (22-28 degrees). This is layered right over Schauberger's big natal Trine of Neptune-Pluto to Uranus-NN! In May of that year there was actually a huge stellium in Taurus right over his natal Neptune: Lilith, Mercury, Sun, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus (Jupiter and Uranus right over Neptune).

His progressed Mercury was also Rx in the vicinity of Neptune-NN transit at 18 Virgo along with p.Jupiter at 14 Virgo. And his progressed Sun was exact on natal Jupiter 3 Virgo. That looks lucky?

But, also his progressed Saturn was approaching conjunction with natal Sun by about 2 or 3 degrees. That's the Government intervention stuff. It's also just a snuffing out of the creative energies by selfish authority figures. Perhaps it could also account for the loss of popularity. I mean, the anti-Nazi sentiment after the War had to have hurt this guys' chances. I guess the Rx Mercury could also account for the confiscated papers and stolen ideas by Governments. One can really see how the Outer Planet stuff can mess with a person's inner planet problems.

Schauberger eventually did come to the U.S. to work for a while. It's really frustrating to read his story from the vantage point of more distant future. This is the guy whose road ought to have been taken. Okay, okay, I don't know if all his ideas work. But, can you imagine where we'd be if he'd been able to live in ordinary times?

So, there you have it. Yes, the aliens are out there. But, the humans are as well. Go roll a log down a stream and figure out how to fix Global Warming.

David Foster Wallace

It's the 2d anniversary of the suicide of writer David Foster Wallace. In my experience, 2d anniversaries suck worse for the grieving than the 1st ones do, but I feel things slowly. American Society generally gives a griever about 1 week for public display, 6 months for emotional display among close friends, and up to a year to hit bottom with some sort of problem which requires a 12 step program to recover from. Grieving embarrasses Americans. If it's ever possible to invent a vaccination to eradicate grief, I'm sure the inventor will become the richest American ever.

The media is now celebrating Wallace's writings in preparation for marketing Wallace's final book which was left unfinished at his death. It's called The Pale King. Sounds awesome, main theme is about boredom but it looks at boredom through the eyes of employees institutionalized at the IRS. Last night NPR devoted a show to Wallace. Interestingly PC show, they tried to discuss his emotional problems without actually saying anything because he was obviously let down by the psychiatric profession. And enticing as always they gave off some dates about Wallace's life, work, and mostly prescription psychiatric drug intake which got me all curious. I thought I'd look at what might indicate a bad date to stop taking meds since this is what happened to Wallace. Wallace was a Pisces whose Sun was conjunct Chiron and Venus which most astrology buffs understand to show hyper sensitivity to any type of drug, or anything mind altering and escapist.

I didn't know who Wallace was until a week after his death when I picked up a book at a library book sale which included his short story "The Depressed Person." I became sort of obsessed with the story so looked him up on the Internet. And that's about the extent of it. I was amazed by his writing and amazed by the coincidence of how the book opened directly to his story and how I actually stood there and read the story.

The NPR show got some dates wrong, at least they don't line up with The New Yorker article on him (http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2009/03/09/090309fa_fact_max?currentPage=all).

Sun 4 Pisces; Moon Virgo or Libra; NN 19 Leo


First thing I noticed was the conjunction of Sun-Chiron and Venus in early Pisces. This will show a person who is lovable and charming, who thrives on dealing with others on the surface, but who because of the Chiron will suffer greatly from wanting to understand the deeper meanings of his relationships and of beauty. Chiron represents wounds we can't really heal. Sun working with Venus will probably add to a sense of yearning for more and the sign of Pisces always feels a sense of sorrow. Of course, Sun-Venus-Chiron is also a very creative aspect. In Pisces it shows a hyper sensitive person who struggles between feeling isolated and needing isolation from others. Pisces has no boundaries.

This Sun combination was further complicated, and strengthened, by oppositions to both Uranus in Leo and Pluto in Virgo. This shows that there is a great empathic relationship between the artist and his generation. It also shows a sort of obsessive (Pluto) and erratic (Uranus) personality. Sure would be interesting to see which houses in Wallace's chart these planets figure.

Second thing is to look at in this chart are the Nodes which are in contact with the planets Mercury, Mars, Saturn and Neptune. With North Node in Leo, Wallace was creative and would have enjoyed the spotlight. Leo is a performer, artist and teacher. The karmic path was to head toward drama, maybe melodrama, and romance. The Nodal Axis (life path, spiritual path, karmic destiny) is stressed by some heavy aspects. Wallace had a lot of planets connected with his South Node showing that he struggled to break away from the Uranian shadow side of his path. He had a conjunction of Mercury-Mars-Saturn on his South Node and this was squaring his natal Neptune in Scorpio. Mercury shows communication skills and styles. With Mars there is a speeding up of the energy, and just basically a great energy to the words. Wallace's famous book, Infinite Jest, was more than 1000 pages.

Saturn conjunct Mercury and Mars adds great concentration and discipline to see things in reality but on the other hand fear, caution and of course, depression and inferiority complex. Some astrologer out there calls Mars-SAturn conjunctions "driving with the brakes on." Mars wants to act on impulse and Saturn wants to plan and hold back until the right moment. This will brings times of emotional frustration. The conjunction to Mercury and square to Neptune can bring the thinking processes and feeling processes into play. Saturn-Neptune combinations are connected with creative success in life but can bring depression. They are also related to drug use and abuse.

Third thing we'd want to look at is Wallace's Moon Sign and placements due to his emotional problems and I don't have that information because lack of birth time. His Moon at noon of date of birth is too close to the Virgo-Libra cusp to know which sign placement he would have had. His emotional struggles began right before his first secondary progressed Moon return so this will be key to understanding his depression, maybe someday.

Fourth thing I noticed was that his chart looked a lot like Chuck Palahniuk's chart which I've looked at before on this blog. Turns out the two great genius writers were born on the same day. Pretty big finding for astrology buffs considering how similiar these two writers are. Both write with satire and irony, a sort of grotesque portrayal of human nature. And both were/are obsessed with their dogs. Their childhoods were completely different, though. Wallace was raised by two college professors in the Mid West and Palahniuk grew up in a trailer park and was raised by parents who divorced.

According to the New Yorker story Wallace's first breakdown occurred while he was living in Tucson, Arizona in 1987. It would have probably been around late Spring of that year I think. After returning to the Mid West to live with his family Wallace attempted suicide for the first time later on that year after watching the Karen Carpenter Story on TV. (proof that he was indeed a Pisces.) As I said before this was right before his first Progressed Moon Return. The prog. Moon may have been passing over natal Uranus in Leo and Pluto in Virgo which as I said earlier was opposing natal Sun-Chiron-Venus. It could also have been opposing his Jupiter which I'm about to bring up as maybe being a significant.

Wallace struggled with his mental illness over the next couple of years while also struggling with writing. Pluto was transiting over his natal Neptune in Scorpio, what Noel Tyl calls "Wipe Out", a very stressful indicator in life especially when placed at the apex of a t-square as in Wallace's chart. Wallace found a successful treatment with the anti-d called Nardil which seemed to help him a lot.

At this time Wallace's progressed Sun was changing signs into Aries and was on the very first degree of that sign. That's sort of the birthing point of the Astrological Wheel. That's the point which marks the Spring Equinox and the beginning of a growth period. Perhaps he would have become more and more agitated without the drugs. Aries rules total impulsiveness. I'm not a Medical Astrologer, but imagine that Mars, ruler of Aries, plays a strong part with committing suicide as well, it will represent "The Act" of doing such a thing.

At this point, transiting Pluto's conjunction with natal Neptune 14 Scorpio was beginning to separate, so Wallace perhaps would maybe have begun to pick up the pieces anyway. During this year (1989-90) there was also the big outer planet conjunction of Saturn-Uranus-Neptune in early Capricorn. Capricorn in the sign of Management and empirical science and ambition and development of discipline to become successful.

Progressed Mercury and p.Mars were also in conjunction with the Sun-Chiron-Venus in Wallace's chart during this year so this was a time of great consolidation of energies for him concerning his daily personal life and personal expression. The NPR show said that the general audience basically connects mostly with the writing which he began at this time.

Wallace went off the Nardil 22 years later around June 2007 because he was feeling fine and had had a reaction to the drug, perhaps connected with some food he ate. (Food = Moon.) There was an opposition of Saturn to Neptune over his natal Jupiter so perhaps there were problems with his Liver. Jupiter's placement is actually the one connector between the charts which follow Wallace's treatment. The Nodes were passing over his natal Jupiter 22 Aquarius when he started the Nardil around 1989-90. The Saturn-Neptune opposition was taking place on it when he quit. That's interesting because those two planets can indicate a time of depression, bad idea to go off at that point. And, then tragically, the Moon and Neptune were conjunct Wallace's natal Jupiter to the degree when he killed himself. (So, whatever ails Jupiter in Aquarius emotionally, spiritually or physically could possibly have been at the root of Wallace's illness?).

Jupiter in Aquarius seems to show up prominently in Wallace's biography. It seems that Wallace, who was raised by two well educated professors type parents, found that he preferred to live around ordinary people rather than academics and psychiatrists. Even so he remained in Academia his whole life. The article says that he was frustrated with his work because he wanted to show "capacities of spirit" yet he is probably better known for his gifts with language and his ability to write with irony. He is said to have felt limited he was in his expression, that's the Mercury-Mars-Saturn conjunction on the South Node I suppose along with the Sun-Venus conjunction with Chiron in Pisces. It might also bring in the Jupiter trauma. Boundlessness would be a major theme for him.

It is interesting to compare Wallace's life with Chuck Palahniuk's bio and life (what we know about either one, that is). Not sure if it would be possible at this point to get a real idea of Palahniuk's life at this point because people are probably mythologizing him more and more every day. But Palahniuk was the one with the difficult childhood. He grew up in a trailer park. His parents divorced. He didn't start writing until he was in his 30s. He worked as a truck driver for years (I think I read that). For some his life would be considered the least healthy and hopefully he's doing ok. It's as if this type of spirit is maybe in a weird way more comfortable in these elements. Palahniuk has admitted to going on anti-d's because his Father was murdered in a love triest (same year that Fight Club came out in movie theaters).

Interesting to note about Wallace's death. The t. Sun was exact opposition to t.Uranus in Pisces (this mirrors same aspect in natal chart). The t.Moon was conjunct t.Neptune-Chiron-NN which I've said before was right on his natal Jupiter in Aquarius. This lines the major elements of his chart (minus Ascendant Ruler which don't know w/o birth time) up with the rulers of the Uranus-Neptune mutual reception. Wallace's chart was heavily loaded with Aquarius and Pisces planets so this Moon-Neptune conjunction was basically passing through the middle of that stellium.

Oh yeah, and t.Saturn and Lilith were in conjunction with natal Pluto and t.Sun. That would have been the danger signal for the Doctor, especially so soon after the Saturn-Neptune opposition. Bad Saturn aspects can bring great fear of failure and self-consciousness. And bad Pluto aspects will go ahead and manifest the fears. Supposedly one big problem that Wallace was suffering from was insomnia and fear of being seen by his students in his state.

Lilith is involved in most of the problem points in Wallace's life. It's so amazing how she is so connected with problem spots.

If you didn't see the latest remake of Alice in Wonderland then you certainly ought to. You can't go wrong with Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter. But the person who stole the show was Helena Bonham Carter playing the most bizarre and evil Queen of Hearts you can imagine.

At any rate, when you hear "Off With His Head!" and you're interested in Astrology, often you just have to wonder if the 27th degree of Taurus is somehow involved. For some reason this year I was paying more attention than usual, maybe because I saw the movie. Fixed Star Caput Algol is at 26 degrees Taurus 10 degrees and when the Sun hits that degree you had better watch your throat.

I first heard about this Star when Bob Marks mentioned it on his Forum. That particular year there was an actual news story of a grown son who murdered his Mother and her pet Poodle ... and creepily ... he beheaded them. This year there was yet another story of a grown Son who beheaded his Mother. I seem to remember that the Sun was at early Taurus and there was some other planet at or very close to 27 Taurus.

Kind of interesting that Mother's Day is in May and comes about a week before the Sun hits this degree...

At any rate, I saw an incredible movie about Leo Tolstoy a couple of weeks ago, The Station Agent. The movie is about a huge change he had made halfway through life. Tolstoy was born a nobleman and became a famous writer and then in middle age he suddenly became a political reformer who sort of helped urge on the revolution in Russia. The movie shows how as an old man he was trying to live in both worlds, conflicted between his wife and family commitments and his loyalties to help fund "the Revolution." through his will.

According to the Wikipedia Biography of him, one of the big events that changed Tolstoy's outlook was a trip he took through Europe where he witnessed a Beheading in France. By coincidence, this event happened to occur right as Tolstoy's progressed Sun was approaching Caput Algol. Can't really remember, think it may have been 26 Taurus and Algol is at 27 degrees. Too lazy to look it up.

So, then lately I began to wonder about how the Queen of Hearts would show up in Lewis Carroll's chart. I wrote a book report on Lewis Carroll when I was a kid and I seem to believe that he never married. A Moon in Taurus? Venus? I looked up his chart and .... no. I couldn't find a connection.

So, I looked up the chart of Alice Liddell, the little girl for whom Alice in Wonderland is named. Turns out she was heavily Taurean with Sun 15 Taurus conjunct a huge stellium at the beginning of Taurus: Pluto 1 Taurus, Uranus 4 Taurus, Mercury 8 Taurus Rx, and Saturn 9 Taurus and then the Sun.

Alice was 10 when Lewis Carroll first told her and her siblings the beginnings of the story at a picnic on July 4, 1862. Alice's progressed Sun was at 25 Taurus. The kids spent the next 2 years nagging Lewis Carroll (Not his real name) to write it down which he had done by November, 1864. The book was published the next year in 1865, the same year that Alice's Sun was exactly conjunct Caput Algol at 27 Taurus.

So, that's the best I can do making a connection between The Queen of Hearts and Alice in Wonderland and Caput Algol. Go see the movie. It's great. Caput Algol also symbolizes great creativity.

World's First Synthetic Cell

The Genome guy, J.Craig Venter has succeeded now in creating the world's first manmade DNA (or, at least that's how I'm trying to understand it). What a great announcement for Science to make while there is a conjunction of Jupiter to Uranus in Pisces. This will hopefully lead to new forms of fuel, ways to clean polluted water, and even faster vaccines.

There's mention in the article that there is concern over how this new Frankenstein creation could be used for destructive purposes. The astrology shows that there is a need to feel concern over this. The Jupiter-Uranus conjunction is squaring Pluto and opposing Saturn. The Government (Saturn) is concerned about how much regulation is needed to keep this knowledge out of the hands of idiots. With Saturn and Pluto squaring each other this might be a legitimate concern.

When Saturn and Pluto work together they can show the kind of ruthless energy that is needed to fight pollution. But they can show plain old ruthlessness and a genuine need for strong guidance in the ethics department. Come to think of it I think that Venter has a Saturn-Pluto square in his natal chart.

Kind of a tough day for thinking about ethical issues. The announcement was made on the same day that Wall St. made its biggest crash of the year and a Paris Art Museum suffered one one of the biggest art heists of all time. The Moon was in conjunction with Mars (volatility) and opposing Neptune. And Venus was opposing Pluto (more volatility).

The Aries Point action is unbelievably interesting for bringing news out into the world about giving birth from out of nothing. Venus was at 1 Cancer yesterday. Think of the great Botticelli painting of Venus born out of nothing but foam. This was squaring Uranus 30 Pisces. That's the actual birth degree of the Astrological Wheel. Uranus rules human enlightenment and innovation.

Hmmm, I bet Venter would be a really great psychic if he weren't busy with all the rest of this stuff.

A Dutch firm called Hass&Hahn has transformed a Brazilian slum, at least visually, in order to uplift the community.

This has got to be a manifestation of the Uranus-Neptune mutual reception where Hopes and Dreams play out on a Global Scale.

In addition, Hass&Hahn developed their idea of transforming poverty through "Favela Painting" back in 2006. That means that the Saturn-Neptune opposition between Leo and Aquarius had something to do with this. That aspect is sometimes thought to bring all those Neptunian Fantasies and Compassion for the Less Fortunate down to earth and workable in real time. Just think of all the people who will actually want to visit this area.

Bjork Sings to the Earth And ...

Those triple Scorpios are manifesters, that's for sure. Plutonian Icelandic Singer Bjork sang to the sick earth and now the mountains are screaming from underneath the glaciers. And, except for the Icelanders who have been evacuated, this could be a good thing if it doesn't go for too long. I read a while back that we were needing a volcano to erupt because a little ash in the ionosphere could stave off Global Warming for a while. (Don't know if that's true, and things could cool things down too much if the volcano erupts for too long).

On the Spring Solstice (March 20) a volcano in the southern part of Iceland erupted. Yesterday it erupted again in what is said to be 10-20 times more powerful reaction. That was the Aries New Moon!

Ash is spilling out into the skies and air transport is called off due to low visibility. People have been evacuated. This is expected to continue for a couple more months. If the lava melts some of the neighboring glaciers another volcano may erupt and this could send the earth into a deep freeze.

Wow, this is definitely triple Scorpio stuff. Whatever's been bottled up will eventually spew out. Pluto is conjunct Bjork's natal Mars. And she was born during the Uranus-Pluto conjunction and opposition to Saturn of 1965. This opposition is layered over her natal IC/MC Axis! It mirrors the current t-square between these 3 Outer Planets right now. (IC represents 4th house and environment and geology). Her chart at Astrotheme. The first eruption happened right on the Spring Solstice. I wrote a little bit about it here and unfortunately didn't add the exact time and location:

Iceland has caught the brunt of the geological tension today as one of its Volcanoes erupted. The news reports said that around 500 people were evacuated. The volcano is in the Southern part of Iceland about 100 miles from Reykjavik.

The houses for Placidus don't really work that far up North. I'm not sure what house system they use. This chart is amazing just by placement of the planets. The Sun is on the Spring Equinox point conjunct Uranus.

This conjunction is in the big t-square formation with Saturn 1 Libra and Pluto 6 Capricorn. It is also trining Mars 1 Leo to the the degree.

Neptune-Chiron are conjunct the IC in Aquarius.

The last time this volcano erupted was from December 1821 to January 1823. At that point, Uranus and Neptune were in conjunction at the beginning of Capricorn where Pluto is right now. Pluto was at 28 Pisces very close to the Aries Point.

So it looks like Iceland is affected by early Cardinal Sign outer planet activity. I guess that Bjork was the Lava that came out during the Uranus-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn back in the early 90s.

Well, the Scientists were saying that a volcano could buy us some time with keeping Global Warming at bay.

Boccaccio's Decameron

Back in College I read some of the stories from Boccaccio's Decameron in a class and recently can't seem to get one particular story out of my head.

The Decameron is a set of 100 tales probably of folk origin which are set into a backdrop story about a group of people who are isolating themselves from the Black Plague in Europe. They stay together for 10 days over the Summer in 1348 and keep each other entertained by telling 10 stories a day.

The story which has stuck with me is the 1st one, a story about an evil guy who dies in a strange town and from his death bed tells the Priest all kinds of lies about the good deeds he has done during his lifetime. The Priest has to believe him, and after his death has him canonized. It's genius for its insight into people and for its satire of the Catholic Church. This set of stories is compared with Chaucer's Canterbury Tales which sort of do the same thing, but from an English perspective.

The Decameron Story Tellers are hiding out from the Plague for 10 days during the Summer of 1348 in isolation with each other. I looked back at the date which is given, just for curiosity's sake. Summer 1348. Ha Ha! What a great Summer to entertain each other with stories. Mercury was conjunct the North Node at the beginning of Leo. Because it went Retrograde this transit basically lasted from the end of June to the beginning of August. What better story telling opportunity than an aspect like this?

I doubt there's any correspondence to what really happened in real life. There seems to be no known birth date for Boccaccio even, but after looking at this I certainly wonder how much might be based on reality.

The Other Planets from this Summer helped, of course. Venus and Mars had a conjunction in Libra in August, if you've ever read some of the stories from the Decameron you know what that's about.

The Outer Planets were helping as well. Jupiter was in Gemini and Uranus was squaring the Nodal Axis all Summer as well. Funny how that can be read as great for spreading communicable diseases as well as for story telling. Saturn was in Pisces which explains the extreme grief that was going on all around and the need for isolation.

Pluto was in Aries which explains "Death by Inflammation." I guess the disease was spread by Rats. Not sure what rules the poor critters. The next year, of course, Saturn moved into Aries and there was a conjunction of Saturn to Pluto. That's probably when the Plague got its name "Black Death;" Saturn and Pluto relating to the color Black.

Supposedly Boccaccio really did start writing the stories around this time. From what I remember from my College Class, the stories were thought to be a collection of folk tales that were compiled by Boccaccio. It took ten years for him to complete the Decameron. I bet it only really took 9 years: that's a Lilith Return Cycle, tee hee.

Home Building and Housing during Pluto's transit in Capricorn

I was just wondering if the Housing and Real Estate Industry will finally go through a major change while Pluto is in Capricorn. The Lending Industry isn't the only part of this field that needs a change. One could also use a couple of well trained architects.

Saw this article on how wealthy people are essentially building themselves huge Mobile McMansion Homes within days.

If the Rich can't think of ways to spend a little extra, take a risk on a new design concept, and in educating themselves on what good taste is I don't know who will. At any rate, I'd love to see one of these dropping down a Southern California mudslide. Hopefully there will be some talented designers getting hired in there as well.

I know that many budding architects are building extremely beautiful prefabricated homes. Even toured a Frank Lloyd Wright "mobile" home a while back. (The one linked to in the picture is hideous, of course).

Anyway, while Pluto was passing through Cancer the United States developed an attitude that every family should own his own home. Now that Pluto is in Capricorn it seems that people might be returning to Urban Environments and apartments. Nothing like a penthouse apartment way up there where the Goat likes to go.

On the other hand, people may just move to the tops of mountains in order to get away from rising sea levels.

At any rate, I was realizing just how seriously the Gemini professions tanked, or shifted while Pluto was transiting the opposite end of Gemini's pole, Sagittarius. Not only have traditional news sources struggled to stay alive but the idea that news is delivered with "just the facts" has gone. So many opinions. So much "expertise." So much hypocrisy and bloat in business. The U.S. Mail Service is also suffering. Even keypads are disappearing on computers. If Pluto had stayed in Sagittarius for one more year maybe our opposable thumbs would have become obsolete.

At any rate, I wonder what a Capricorn Style of House really would look like. No basements, that's fore sure. Goats gotta climb. I don't know about Goats and craftsmanship. Sometimes a little lacking. Too busy climbing. Maybe everyone will just carry a tent folded up on their backs.

Drew Barrymore Upstaged!

Now I know that 2012 will bring the Apocalypse because I never could have dreamed this in my wildest imagination.

Looking at her chart I can't think of a single aspect for why Drew Barrymore should be overshadowed by a couple of knitters. But, perhaps it's Pluto?

Kay Gardiner and Ann Shayne are celebrating the publishing of one of their awesome Mason-Dixon knitting books and have re-enacted the documentary, Grey Gardens, which was re-enacted by Drew Barrymore in a movie.

Pluto is transiting Drew's 7th House. This video shows the ferocity of one's competition during a transit like this. You inspire others, but they turn around and totally "one up" you.
