This is so Pluto in Capricorn-y. The publisher of the National Enquirer and the Star has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Now that Pluto is out of Sagg we've pretty much heard it all, seen it all, and aren't going to plunk down another damn cent on whatever the Stars are doing. Everyone has sued everyone else for whatever dirt they had on em. And those who still have power are just resorting to spying, sabotage and censorship.

Native American "Scorpion" Calendar found in Central California

Back in the day when Californians used to look up at the sky to see what was up there instead of what is in their big fat narcissistic egos.

Back in the day.... before the extreme lawn plantings and the divorces and the sunglasses and the psychologists and the convertibles, California had people who could sit still. And they could look up at the sky! And, I repeat, they could sit still...

Well, some things never change. Same as today, I doubt the Californians were sober back then. If you've ever seen the Sun set over the Pacific Ocean in November, or watched the Whales swimming up North to breed, you know why this is.

Recently found: a Scorpion carving on a tree in San Luis Obispo County is now thought to have been a Chumash motif showing the constellation Ursa Major traveling around Polaris the North Star.

A paleontologist working in Arroyo Grande named Rex Saint Onge discovered the "Scorpio Tree" in Fall 2006 up in the Santa Lucia Mountains. There is a type of astrolocality technique which splays the 12 signs of the Zodiac over the Globe. I've forgotten what it's called, but do remember that the signs of Sagittarius and Scorpio split right around this area. If you know anything about California you know how much the environment changes right around this area. Southern California is open chapparal. The light is so bright it's actually really difficult to see without sunglasses. The people are open and sunny. Northern California is greener, darker and sort of sparkly. The light casts long dark shadows.

So, I think it's extremely interesting that the Scorpion motif for a constellation is found right at this spot. And the astrology for the finding corresponds really well. In Fall of 2006 Jupiter was changing signs from Scorpio to Sagittarius and was moving toward conjunction with Pluto! Both Venus and Mars were in Scorpio that month as well.

Faster than a Porsche

I guess the only way to turn the tide of CO2 consuming automobiles is to make sure that the Upper Upper Class has a little sports car to drive. Yahoo has an article that lists 5 Green Vehicles that not only don't pollute (CO2 at any rate) and are faster than a Porsche.

Gemini rules Cars and this is a great tribute to Pluto's passing over the final degrees of its opposite sign of Sagittarius, the other transportation sign.

Plotting Like Rabbits

In Gloucester, Massachusetts a bunch of the local high school girls, 17 at last count, is Pregnant. All at the same time. This is something like 3 times more than the usual amount. Some authorities say this is a result of a Pact the girls made to get pregnant so they could raise their children together. A Pregnancy Pact. Well, this is better than a Suicide Pact, isn't it?

The CDC says that there was a 3 percent rise in teenage pregnancies last year that may be just some sort of inexplicable blip. It does match last year's transits. Can you imagine being a teenager while both Jupiter and Pluto are in Sagittarius? Kids at that age are already terrorizing the World with their Opinions, a Sagittarius keyword. Kids that age know what's right, not what's wrong. And then there's the firey, party aspect of Sagittarius. Remember when Miss America and Miss Teenage America were reprimanded for dancing on the tables of the bars in New York City? Atsa Saggy. Just ask Brittany.

So both planets moved into Capricorn, sign of Aging, and suddenly we're all grown up now.

Time Magazine said that a social worker or administrator at the school said that the girls were suffering from alienation and loneliness in their lives and were just looking for something to love. Now the girls are denying that. The astrology is pretty interesting.

The average age of the girls is 16 which means that the average year that they were born is 1992. These girls are probably the products of the Uranus-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn and of Pluto in Scorpio. In 1991 the North Node was also in Capricorn. So this generation wants to eat at the grown up table. To each his own.

Pretty interesting that the Scorpio/Capricorn emphasis in their birth charts come to the fore in this way just as Pluto moves into Capricorn. And, with Pluto in Scorpio and all that Capricorn. When they say they didn't agree to a Pact, well, that just means that they didn't agree to telling anyone else about their Pact.

Child Molestation

This blog is about Lawrence Lessig, one of the Guardian's Top 100 Intellectuals of the World. Lessig is a world famous lawyer and professor known for his work in Copyright Law on the Internet. He has now announced his intention to unearth corruption in Politics. This is a Quality Guy. Lessig is also a Victim of Child Molestation. He was victimized at Age 14 (not sure about how long this continued as he went to a normal High School) while attending a Boy's Choir School in New Jersey. His story is extremely interesting because he actually confronted his abuser, sued the school, and then prosecuted the school later on behalf of other victims. He only opened up about his own story later on. I found an article that gives a lot of dates so I'd like to take a look at his chart:

This article also tells the story of the man who Lessig represented who has suffered long term because of the abuse. I can't find his birth date.

Although he was groped beforehand, Lessig says he was actually raped on his 14th Birthday. This was meant to be a "Birthday Present" from his molester, the Choir Director, and continued pretty much until he left the school in order to attend regular High School. This, of course, was a Solar Return for Lessig so potent for the entire year.

The 14th year is associated astrologically with the first Saturn opposition. Sometimes this transit comes earlier, in Lessie's case it was just approaching and was promising to be significant in some way as Lessie has a wide conjunction of Saturn to Jupiter. Saturn's influence is reflected in Lessie's own words about the molestation. He said he had a "14-year olds exaggerated sense of his own maturity. "I felt I could handle it," he says. "That everything was under control." So he stayed silent, managed (Saturn keyword), and was actually promoted in stature to head choir boy.

Also from the article: "Now, in his ninth-grade year, Lessig was named head boy, which made him “in charge of taking care of the kids,” he says. “There was no proctor when I was head boy; I was discipline. And there were kids who were real shits—it was a Lord of the Flies–like experience.” I've listed some of the more major aspects below for the Solar Return chart and you can the Lord of the Flies influences big time.

Lessig's natal chart has Saturn in Capricorn conjunct Jupiter in Aquarius. Saturn here is in its own sign which emphasizes an extra feeling of maturity. Jupiter, of course, exaggerates everything it touches, and in Aquarius, well, anything goes, the more shocking the better. The two working together are thought to bring social prominence of some kind. (Barack Obama was born a couple of months after Lessig.) When transiting Jupiter and Saturn come together in the sky every 20 years, they are thought to bring about big changes in social, legal, political arenas and this is the emphasis on which Lessig has based his life, not his molestation which is a personal, intimate activity.

Selected to attend the exclusive school at Age 10, Lessig has a natal Venus in Aries. As Venus rules the voice and Aries rules boys it seems that this is perfect for showing talent as a Soprano lead in a Boys' Choir. A leading voice, whether through music or through law.

Significant in a different way, Progressed Mercury (Thinking, Communication, Early Education) went Rx around 10 Cancer within a year after starting at the school, 1971-72. Mercury is prominent in Lessig's natal chart as it is Out-of-bounds at 7 Cancer and is involved in a Grand Trine with Neptune in Scorpio and Chiron in Pisces. He developed a natural ability to escape and go elsewhere when stressed out. That's also a really interesting combination considering his areas of Law are involved with Intellectual Theft and Political Corruption.

With his Gemini Sun and Aquarius Moon Lessig would have been able to view what was happening from a more mental standpoint. If the two are trining (not known due to lack of birth time) this perhaps explains Lessig's strength to overcome the abuse. Internally his Ego and Unconscious work in harmony, good basic internal structure to protect against negative outside influences. Their Air influence maybe channel the emotional feelings into talents and good fortune through his Grand Water Trine. Talking about what happened to him would not have been easy, however. Lessig still hadn't told his parents what had happened even while he was working as a Lawyer on the case. This really illustrates Noel Tyl's interpretation of Grand Trines well, where the figure sort of shows energies that the person hold within himself, maybe becomes problematic if he bottles them up.

Lessig's first Molestation occurred in the Fall of 8th Grade. He was groped while watching TV 3 years after beginning at the school. He had been told by other boys about the Choir Master's behaviors shortly after attending the school.

Lessig was first raped on his 14th Birthday, June 3, 1975, Princeton, NJ.

This is shown perfectly by the astrology.

• The Moon was conjunct Mars at 10 Aries opposite Pluto in Libra. Violence, Force.

• There was a transiting T-square of Uranus opposite Saturn squaring Venus with apex Venus 28 Cancer. This layers over his natal Venus-Saturn square and creates a Grand Square figure (n.Venus 29 Aries square n. Saturn 30 Capricorn). So there's some connection to ambition here. He perhaps did feel "chosen." The transiting Venus-Saturn Square echoes the natal one. This would have been such a confusing aspect for anyone to go through let alone an adoloscent boy being stalked by a predator who was encouraging success.

• In addition, t.Neptune was opposing Lessig's natal Sun from 11 Sagittarius. Confusion to Ego, Victimization, Not knowing, unfortunately in this case emphasizes one's artistic and musical talents and vulnerabilities.

• And also, there was a Nodal Square (one degree orb). Lessig's Natal Node is conjunct n. Pluto in Virgo and natal Uranus in Leo so Nodal transits would really be charged for him. Natal conjunction of Mars to Uranus has progressed at time of first rape so that Mars is conjunct Uranus within a degree. Aggression plus Shock and Excitement.
  

• Finally, Saturn approaching 1st opposition to natal Saturn. This next year Lessig was made Head Boy of the School and was in charge of the other boys. He also lived in the room next to the Choir Master and sort of became his Live-in lover. A lot of prestige as Saturn opposes natal Saturn-Jupiter conjunction.

I was interested in trying to understand the transits of when Lessig was "available" astrologically to speak out. Since he's a Lawyer, speaking out ought to come naturally to him. But in his chart it's involved in a Grand Water Trine with Neptune. He wouldn't speak if things were not safe, especially as Mercury is in security conscious Cancer.

Lessig left the school and graduated from a normal High School. At Age 17 he joined the Board for the School. He was first approached in Fall of 1981 when he was 20 by other victims and didn't want to speak out. There was a conjunction of Jupiter-Saturn in Libra which reflects his natal Jupiter-Saturn conjunction (widely trining natal position). This shows an ambitious time. Also, Jupiter & Saturn were conjunct Pluto. Certainly a time to remain silent. This was probably the last thing he would have been able to do at this point. At this point Jupiter, Saturn & Pluto were all in a stellium in Libra together. This reflects the natal Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in his natal chart. His life was full of success and he probably didn't want to allow, probably didn't even feel the hurt from the past. He did later sue the school and receive a settlement, but the records were kept sealed. He maybe had a subconscious desire to go into Law because of the crime committed but, perhaps back in those days it wasn't even considered that much of a crime.

He was next approached I believe in 2001 when he was 43. The transits here are interesting. This is again after the next Jupiter-Saturn conjunction that occurred in Taurus in 2000. Transiting Pluto was opposing his natal Sun and was about to going through the Saturn-Pluto opposition starting in that year, right on his natal Sun. He was past his transiting Pluto square which would have included his Nodal Axis and Uranus.

When the Law Suit began at the end of November in 2004, Lessig was well past his Pluto square and was experiencing his Neptune square and Uranus opposition. These hit hard spots on his natal chart. What an excellent time to speak out on behalf of Humanity and Victims. These are the generational planets. The whole rest of the world was willing to deal with the issues involved (finally). Transiting Neptune was conjunct natal Jupiter. Jupiter is connected to the Law and Lessig was working on the case in Defense of the other victims while still not telling the outside world, even his parents about what had happened to him. Very Neptunian, Water.

Also, the School had won the original argument based on a Law called the Charitable (Neptune) Immunity (Uranus) Act!! This claimed that the school claimed it wasn't responsible for the behavior of its employees towards the children in attendance!! The New Jersey Supreme Court decided to override the earlier decision on. Aug. 8, 2006. The Sun and Saturn were in conjunction and opposing a conjunction of Neptune-Moon in Aquarius. This all happened on top of Lessig's natal Mars in Leo. His progressed Venus was conjunct natal Sun in Gemini. I suppose Venus' relation to Law and Justice really rings true here. Also, t.Jupiter (Law) conjunct natal Neptune (this was a big Victory for Lessig, but also triggered that Grand Trine. He had literally been outed publicly in the Supreme Court in the middle of the trial).

The Governor had signed a Law into effect already in January of that same year stating that Charitable Institutions can be sued by victims of gross misconduct. New Jersey was the 48th State to sign this into effect. Pluto, of course, was nearing its last degrees of Sagittarius and had almost completed its "transformation" of Schools and Religious Institutions.

Mercury's progression is very interesting in this regard. As I said before it had gone into Retrograde the year after he had gone to the school and it moved backward through Cancer until it stationed direct sometime 1996-97. P.Mercury then was within 2 degrees conjunction of his natal Mercury when he finally opened up about his own situation. As he's said to be very shy I'm going to remove his name from this blog. The article will link to him but there's no reason for his name to come up. I don't think there are enough studies of Child Molestation in Astrology so I am going to go ahead and hit the publish button.

Pluto Lights One Last Fire in Sagittarius

I don't know why we need to measure a Cow's burp but I do know that Capricorn is all about looking good in public and burping is not part of the curriculum. If they ever clone the burps and farts out of cows I know I will have to turn Vegetarian for once and for all. Holding it in for the sake of Global Warming...wow.

No one will be allowed to do much of anything in public let alone burp once Pluto hits Capricorn. The gas is just going to have to slowly force its way out through the skin, I guess. Sagittarius, on the other hand, excels at burping. I once worked with a Double Sagg who bragged that she could say "Dodge Daytona" under a single long burp. She did not however do it at work. Her Sun was obviously progressing through Capricorn. Maybe the Cows will just naturally let up on their own once Pluto moves into Capricorn.

This story also reminds me of my Brother's marriage. He's a Virgo and suffered terrible stomach problems all his life. He married a Double Capricorn and forever after refused to engage in our ritual burping contests. He said he was really struggling not to mess up the bathroom too much now that he was married. I don't think the Double Capricorn would have minded too much, there's just some sort of loss of decorum about the whole activity that one can sense really turns them off. So, at any rate, I was concerned about this because this would mean that I would have to come up with meaningful conversations if I was going to hang out with my brother and so far this had been the only thing we shared in common. In the end, the Capricorn figured out that my Brother is allergic to dairy and since cutting all milk out of his diet his stomach problems have completely subsided. That's the good side to Capricorn. They like to fix problems and often have the intelligence to do it.

I told two coworkers about my brother's problem, a Sagittarius and a Gemini. The Sagittarius immediately got a laughing fit and practically passed out gasping "No way! "No way!" I could tell she had had some amazing private moments at home with her hubby. The Gemini, Air Sign that he was, immediately launched his kean Geminian word skills in order to find a socially acceptable way to bring up the subject to one's significant other in a way which would articulate one's needs that was both direct and loving, gentle and friendly. Dryly, he pan-faced:

"Would you care to cut the cheese? Or shall I?"

I joined the Sagg until tears were coming out our eyes.

Pluto in Sagittarius - Snake Charmers

While the Sun is in Sagittarius, I've been wanting to talk about Sagittarians and their built-in Charm but couldn't figure out how to segue in. Fortunately, CNN did it for me by posting a video of a 6-year old boy in Cambodia who has a pet Python. Literally the kid is a Snake Charmer. He rides the snake, kisses the snake, sleeps on the snake. And the snake seems to like it. 6-years old. Don't know what his birth data is but know he's gonna have Pluto in Sagittarius.

Back to School Blog / College Campus Rape

This was supposed to be posted a couple of weeks ago in celebration of Pledge Week but I suppose the Venus-Neptune opposition sort of blocked it with a "I didn't see that coming" kind of denial thing. So sorry about that. Nobody ever listens to a warning anyway. So the eclipse is hitting the Grand Square and Mars is in my First House and now I'm frothing at the mouth.

Here's the deal. When girls go off to College they think everyone's just like them, respectful of their need to get down with the boys. Real life only happens on TV. They go the parties and drink until they're snorting the Ox Blood Punch out their noses (God that's so much fun), flirting and making out and next thing you know you're like the girl in San Jose, CA who passed out until her friends pulled a pack of boys off of her. One of the boys had thrown up on her. Nice touch. And thing is, when this happens there really is no Justice. Just "He Said, She Said" and the pack of boys runs free and the sheriff even speaks up and says that Justice wasn't served. The friends were testifying for her and you'd think it was a done deal but still the District Attorney, a woman by the way, couldn't find a defense. Usually, in real life rape, the help from the friends doesn't happen, but the inept Justicial System does. In Modern Western World, it's ok to be concerned about rape when it happens to women in the Sudan. College Campuses think this is part of the growing up process, apparently. Everyone talks about how the girl had it coming to her. And it really is impossible to prove otherwise most of the time.

And the influence of Rape on the girl is unbelievably damaging. Either they withdraw from life and do drugs or they become total sluts and do drugs. It just totally blows me away that this still happens. What year is it? Maybe when we make it into the 21th Century things will improve. But until then we are:

So pissed off by this story in the Spring, Larry King brought up another story. He interviewed the Father of Laura Dickinson, a student last year attending East Michigan University at Upsilanti who was raped and murdered in her dorm room and the School covered up the entire crime. The Dean was fired this Summer along with two others who had shredded the police reports. Their reputation was more important to them than a young woman's life, let alone the life of a student whose care was left to their responsibility. For 2 months the parents didn't even know what their daughter's cause of death was! They suspected she died from complications of a previous heart arrythmia. A student, Orange Taylor (Age 20) had snuck into the dorm, walked into her room and had raped and murdered Dickinson. This happened early in the morning on Dec. 13, 2006. By Dec. 15 the other students complained of a smell coming from her room. The Police report said there was a possibility of homicide. The Medical Examiner suspected foul play. And on Dec. 16 the University posted a statement saying "there is no reason to suspect foul play." The entire Administration at Eastern Michigan covered up the entire crime. After Orange Taylor's arrest, they were put on leave and three were subsequently fired this Summer. This includes the Dean, James Vick and the heads of Campus Security and the Campus Police.

According to www.detnews.com, Taylor entered the Dorm at about 4am on Dec. 13, 2007 and left around 5:30am. The Sun was at 22 Sagittarius conjunct Pluto at 27 Sagittarius and squaring the NorthNode at 21 Pisces. Pluto was widely conjunct Venus at 3 Capricorn. That's a good set-up for rape/murder, but everyone on the planets lived through that. Scorpio was rising so Pluto's rulership of rape/murder (and cover-up probably also) makes this aspect more potent. By 5am Saturn in Leo was conjunct the MC opposing Neptune on the IC. And Jupiter, Mars, Pholus and Mercury were in the 1st House squaring Uranus. Nesus was exactly conjunct Chiron at 7 Aquarius. At 5am, the Moon was at 30 Virgo squaring the Pluto-Venus conjunction. These are all strong indicators for violence.

When Taylor was arrested t.Jupiter had moved to conjunction with the Event Chart Sun.

I don't have Laura Dickinson's birth date. She was 22 years old. Orange Taylor was 20 years old (I'm not sure if that's at the time of the crime or at the arrest). I do have Dickinson's Father's birth date because, unfortunately, the last time Mr. Dickinson saw his daughter was on his 51st birthday. That's one hell of a Chiron Return year event. I don't want to mention it here for privacy reasons except to say that it hooks into the chart of another victim, Jeanne Clery.

Jeanne Clery was also raped and murdered in her dorm room in 1986 at Lehigh Tech in Pennsylvania. Her parents' were responsible for passing a bill, the Crime Awareness & Campus Security Act of 1990 otherwise known as "The Clery Act." Apparently there had been a notable amount of campus crimes which the school was very lax about telling the students. Clery had left her door unlocked and the man who raped her just walked into her room while she was sleeping. The Clery Act was supposed to heighten awareness of crime on college campuses. Apparently it didn't make a ripple. The shooting at Virginia Tech last year is also evidence. Who knows what else goes unreported and covered up?

So I found Jeanne Clery's birth date from off the Internet.

Clery had Sun conjunct Venus in Sagittarius trining Jupiter: a total charmer. Sun and Jupiter may also have been in a Grand Trine with her Moon. Sometimes Charm is too much of a lucky thing. Every weirdo in the book wants to follow you home.

Clery's North Node is in Taurus and Neptune and Retrograde Mercury were in Scorpio conjunct her South Node. It seems that she may have been forgetful and absentminded about things like locking the door and this worked against her (NE and Ret Merc c. South Node).

Of course, one wants to look at Mars which will indicate violence. Clery was born in 1966 during the Uranus-Pluto in Virgo conjunction opposite Saturn in Pisces. Her Mars is in Virgo conjunct Uranus and Pluto so she was extra vulnerable to violence. Her Sun-Venus, Venus NN and Grand Trine make me think that she was extra easy going, maybe conflicted with that big opposition of her generation which is pretty volatile.

The day of her death, Clery's progressed Sun was at 21 Sagittarius c. transiting Uranus at 23 Sagittarius. (This is conjunct Laura Dickinson's Father's Sun) so she was hooked into Uranian energy. In addition, She was going through her Uranus square which can be a sort of an initiation into sudden and shocking events (along with positive stuff like moving away from home, and hanging out with friends, etc.). Because of the year that Clery was born her Uranus carries a lot of baggage. The Prog. Sun-t.Uranus both square that big violent opposition of Mars-Uranus-Pluto opposite Saturn.

There was also an opposition of Venus in Taurus to Pluto in Scorpio on top of her Nodes. Venus and Pluto rule her Nodes and she was killed during her Nodal Return year.

Clery's parents acted to pass "The Clery Act" in honor of their daughter and to ensure that other students would be informed of violent crimes so that they can be alert and on the defensive.

Sun was in Scorpio conjunct Pluto and Venus. How appropriate for legislation regarding Rape and Murder. It was squaring Jupiter (the Law and Higher Education). This Scorpio conjunction is right on Clery's South Node-Neptune(Victim)-Mercury. Mercury is also in Scorpio unaspected. There was a Yod that day which might explain the ineffectiveness of how the Bill is actually carried out. Neptune is in Capricorn at the Apex branching off to Mars in Gemini sextile Jupiter in Leo on either leg (weird way to talk about rape). This seems to tell the tale to me why the Administration-Government (Capricorn) is ignoring or not understanding (Neptune) how to allow the kids to enjoy their college experience (Gemini-Leo-Mars-Jupiter = youthfulness, play,carefree lifestyle). Saturn and Uranus were in Capricorn along with Neptune which also which can make for some cold-hearted, selfish administration, maybe corrupt.

Mars (violence, rashness) is very problematic in The Clery Bill chart. It is retrograde and probably a little too strongly placed as it is a double singleton in Mutable and Air. Of course, the answers to problems presented by a Yod is in the opposite sign of the apex. In this case, that would be Cancer. That indicates parenting, control, home, everything that the kids are trying to break away from.

Boy, I knew this was going to be a rambler. It's a start. If you've got family or friends in College please ask them to be extra careful. So many of these crimes can be avoided if people show a little more concern and if the girls themselve use more sense. Back in January, 2005 three highly regarded, well-respected, well-paid conservative Media Columnists were found to have received payments from the Bush Administration and the Department of Health Services for writing propaganda on Family Values. This is illegal and unethical and paid for by taxpayers like you and me. I guess this goes in the pile with more stories about what happened to Media and Journalists during the Pluto in Sagittarius transit while Saturn was in Cancer (Family Values).

The big story should be that Newspapers themselves are going out of business but that's depressing. Mostly I wanted to know what a Propagandist's chart would look like but it turns out I'm not that interested in reading shallow people's charts in depth. So I'll just list a couple of dumb aspects and be done with it.

There's some extensive Mars action in their charts along with Sun-Neptune influence either in the natal chart or through the transits. I think that Neptune is opposing Alberto Gonzales's Sun at this point also and he was forgetting to disclose all kinds of information at that point too. These people were discussing ethical lifestyles while breaking the law and they neglected to disclose this to their irreverent audience. In January, 2005, there was a transiting t-square between Saturn (conservative Government) in Cancer (Conservative Family), NN in Aries (Fundamentalism) and Jupiter (Media, Opinions) in Libra (Justice).
