Bicyclists Killed in Brooklyn

Five Bicyclists were killed on the streets of Brooklyn within a month of each other. 10 cyclist fatalities have occurred this past year alone.

Wow, this Summer, bicycling was for New Yorkers what guns were to Oakland and San Jose (liberal hypocrisy of the area at its finest) and hiking was for visitors to Yosemite.

Just these weird coincidental pockets of fatalities that I'm finding cropping up in the news.

The New Yorkers place "Ghost Bikes" up at locations where bicyclists are killed. Hopefully some proper bike lanes will be set up to protect them in the future.

I suspect that this is all related in some way to the Nodal Axis transit of the signs which rule hiking and local transportation, Gemini. At this point the South Node is in Gemini. That's the end of the Nodal Axis which represents some sort of fault in the Destiny which throws off the good things that are offered by the opposite end (which would be issues ruled by Sagittarius). Things that don't work in the local environment (Gemini) will cause problems in the big environment (Sagittarius) (International).

Here's a list of the recent fatalities from the information I could find. Can't vouch for accuracy of the information.

Aug. 1, Monday. 29-year old Robert Doyle killed.

Aug. 2, night, 70-year old Andrezei Wisnuk killed.

Aug. 18, before 5:40 pm, 52-year old Jeffrey Axelrod killed

Aug. 30, 7:00 pm 29-year old Erica Abbott killed.

Sep. 2, (Friday), 8:30 pm, 24-year old Nicolus Djandj killed.

Oct 18, night, Matthieu Lefevre killed, 30-years old, born Mars 1981.

Since 3 of these people were 29-30 it seems that perhaps Saturn in Libra is connected with bicycling. That is the age associated with the first Saturn Return. I sort of suspect that Libra isn't the greatest sign for drivers. You don't want to have a relationship with everything on the road. I think they might feel less safe around all that Mars-Mercury driving type stuff because they know what can happen and subsequently it does happen. Saturn is related to one's issues of safety and caution. Interesting that the last 3 mentioned were all artists, as well. Libra is very much associated with artists who seek balance and harmony.

Kind of interesting to note that most of the deaths occurred after work hours. Venus has been in conjunction with the Ascendant pretty much consistently during these months around that time. And Saturn is dispositing to Venus because of its transit in Libra. Venus also rules the 3d House of transportation for much of that time. I'm getting carried away with the Venus stuff here. But, for some reason it is standing out. Accidents are ruled by Mars and Uranus together. Mercury rules local transportation, daily routes, that type of thing.

Saturn was mostly in the 2d house. I don't know what that means except that it is opposite the 8th House of Death. Saturn is related to brakes, safety precautions, exhaustion.

Uranus (Accidents, unexpected, shock) in the 8th House (Death).

I went back to the Total Lunar Eclipse that occurred on June 15 the way I did while looking at the deaths in Yosemite over the Summer. The chart is pretty interesting when set for New York.

In New York this Eclipse had a 5 Scorpio Rising chart. That means that Pluto was Ruler of the chart. And Pluto was conjunct the 3d House cusp in a tight one degree orb. This Eclipse contains the last pass of the big Saturn-Uranus-Pluto t-square which means that the victims who were going through their Saturn Returns were also under the influence of this challenging aspect. Pluto was apex of that t-square so is a very strong figure in that chart. This shows, in hindsight of course, that some larger than life crises related to local neighborhoods, transportation, roads, neighbors, siblings was related to New York.

Rest in Peace.

Today Is Deadliest Day for Teenagers

Heard this story while driving. Kind of nerve wracking to hear while behind the wheel.

http://www.kwch.com/news/kwch-news-rez-may-20-is-deadlies-day-for-teen-drivers-around-the-country-20110520,0,6538976.story

In a study covering the last 5 years, 63 percent more teenager die in driving accidents on this particular day, May 20. Kind of interesting that the Sun is still in Taurus at this point. I would think it would be in Gemini since Gemini rules driving and youth. Since Pluto, planet of death, was at the end of Sagittarius pretty much the whole time the Sun would have been inconjunct Pluto.

Inconjuncts are minor difficult connections between planets.

They represent needing adjustments and are often connected with health concerns. Other than that, I can't literally interpret the connection.

I would expect the numbers to be much higher over the past few years because of the difficult outer planet t-square aspect between Saturn-Uranus-Pluto. This makes for difficult times, overall.

San Francisco Bay Bridge Collapse

Astrology could have helped in this case with the Uh Oh It's Mercury Retrograde warning. Mercury rules roads and local transportation so this makes sense.

This is very frightening: The Bay Bridge which links San Francisco to the Berkeley/Oakland area collapsed in the spot where repairs had been made over this past Labor Day Week-end. The Bridge is now closed until further notice.

The Bridge had been scheduled for closure over the long September holiday week-end. Half-way through the repairs the workers found a crack and this kept the Bridge closed until the next Wednesday morning. So the Bridge was closed from September 4-9. That's a long time and this is a major artery. Over the Labor Day Week-end Mercury Stationed Retrograde at 7 Libra. He was also squaring Mars in Cancer and Pluto in Capricorn.

Also over that period of time Saturn was opposing Uranus which was hit by a Full Moon. So, Mercury wasn't working by himself.

Two days ago, on Tuesday the Rod (whatever that is, read this, sorry its Fox but this was just the most informative article I could find) that had been replaced at some point during the repairs fell down during Rush Hour.

This is the same bridge that fell down during the Loma Prieta earthquake. That also hit at Rush House back in 1989. (October 17, 1989, around 5:04 pm). The Astrology is really creepy. Pluto at 1 Capricorn is at the spot where Uranus was at that time. Uranus was conjunct Saturn 9 Capricorn-Neptune 10 Capricorn opposing Jupiter 11 Cancer-Chiron Cancer. And Mercury was at 10 Libra which is a Mercury Return almost to the degree! They say that Mercury Returns like to bring things back to you from the past. They're not kidding (in this case at least)!

Notice also the other outer planet couplings that are similar. Saturn and Uranus (conjunct 1989 now opposing 2009). Jupiter-Neptune-Chiron (opposing in 1989, now conjunct).

Bay Bridge falls apart
Oct. 27, 2009 5:30 pm Oakland, CA

Sun 5 Scorpio; 20 Aries Rising; Moon 27 Aquarius; 11 Capricorn MC; NN 26 Capricorn

Mercury is on the last degree of Libra in this chart, ruling the 3d House and squaring the Nodal Axis. It is also in conjunction with the Sun and is placed angular in the 7th House so is strong in the chart.

The Big Wig planet that stands out to me at least, is Mars. Mars here is ruling the chart, is a singleton in Fire, is the Lead planet of the Locomotive chart shape and is squaring the Sun. It is one degree away from being in the 4th House so it's not quite angular.

Saturn is still trining the Nodal Axis which it disposits. I'd say it's very widely opposing Uranus at this point (about 6 degree orb but the computer program doesn't show the opposition). It is now, however, squaring Pluto which is a destruct and destroy aspect.

Good thing is that nobody was killed. Two vehicles were damaged and I'm sure glad I wasn't driving either one of them.

The Bridge is now closed. You know I think we'll be wishing we would have an earthquake. The sewers are backflowing into the water supply. The bridge is definitely not safe to drive on. All this stuff needs a major demo so things can just be rebuilt.

Kind of bizarre that Saturn, planet that rules building, has been trining the North Node which is in its sign (and conjunct Lilith -- I swear to God Lilith is always there when this kind of poo goes down). I think she's just giving everyone a heads up you stupids.

The Oakland Bay Bridge was opened for traffic on Nov. 12, 1936. This was a New Moon in Scorpio. There was a Saturn-Neptune opposition. It's 73 years old. If "Bridge Years" are the same as "People Years" then I guess it's showing its age.

Airplane Crash on Take-Off at Denver Airport

An Airplane veered off the Runway yesterday at the Denver Airport yesterday and burst into Flames. The Firefighters say it's a Miracle that no one was killed. Why not? I took a quick look.

Flight 1404

Take off Dec. 20, 2008, 6:20 pm, Denver, CO

Sun 30 Sagittarius; Moon 19 Libra; ASC 23 Cancer; MC Aries; NN 11 Aquarius

The crash and the Fire is very clearly shown because the Sun is currently sandwiched in a conjunction between Mars 26 Sagittarius and Pluto 1 Capricorn. Mars rules the Aries Midheaven which is a fire sign. This volatile conjunction is placed in the 6th House and Mars is squaring the Saturn-Uranus opposition which is crossing the 3d and 9th Houses of Transportation. Maybe the fact that they are past the angles and in the mutable houses is a sign that the energy wasn't strong enough, but mostly I don't know.

Lucky Jupiter was angular, conjunct the Descendant and trining Saturn in the 3d House. The quick reactions of the pilot may have saved the plane.

The House of Death is really amazing because it's loaded and nobody died. A little Momento Mori action saved by a Miracle? The North Node (connected with Fate) is conjunct the Aquarius cusp along with Venus 16 Aquarius, Chiron 18 Aquarius, Neptune 23 Aquarius. Aquarius rules Airplanes, doesn't it? Probably along with Jupiter I guess. (Rex is in the car.) Venus rules the IC which shows the end of life so this is a really interesting chart to look at in this regard. If a plane can be Diabetic this one certainly would have been. Venus-Chiron-Neptune sounds like an angelic influence. (Maybe the Press just made this story up for the Holidays.) The passengers are certainly blessed.

Anyway, the cause of the crash and why the plane burst into flames isn't stated yet. The chart is ruled by the Moon with Moon angular in its own 4th House and squaring the Ascendant. So somehow the Moon is involved. Does a plane have Breasts? Perhaps something to do with the lungs, er, air flow? Emotions? Women? Public? 4th House emphasis shows a stay at home attitude so maybe the plane just wasn't in the mood to leave the airport. Perhaps this just shows a very protective force at work.

The Moon is squaring Mercury in Capricorn (H6). Mercury rules the 3d House which reemphasizes that House's influence. With Saturn heavily afflicted in the 3d House it would seem that mechanical failure would be involved. With the square to Mars the brakes or gears could have jammed. Saturn in Virgo in H3 could indicate an icy runway?

At any rate, Congratulations to the Pilots and Crew who are no doubt Incredible Heroes and to the Passengers who all survived.

Faster than a Porsche

I guess the only way to turn the tide of CO2 consuming automobiles is to make sure that the Upper Upper Class has a little sports car to drive. Yahoo has an article that lists 5 Green Vehicles that not only don't pollute (CO2 at any rate) and are faster than a Porsche.

Gemini rules Cars and this is a great tribute to Pluto's passing over the final degrees of its opposite sign of Sagittarius, the other transportation sign.

Spanish Airline Crash

Spanair JK5022 flight crashed yesterday while taking off. The plane was bound for Las Palmas, Canary Islands from Madrid, Spain. News reports aren't out yet at too what caused the crash but the flight had been delayed for take off for more than an hour and half due to mechanical problems with the Air Conditioning. Tragically, of the 166 people on board, only 19 survived. This is because they fell into a river and were spared severe burns.

Spanair Flight JK 5022 Crash

Crashed 8/20/2008 2:45pm, Madrid, Spain

Sun 28 Leo; ASC 23 Scorpio; Moon 13 Aries

Rulership for Aviation is generally said to be related to Uranus/Aquarius. An excerpt from a really interesting book located through Google (Astrology by Doris Chase Doane) shows that Neptune and Mars are equally represented in statistical research in the charts of Aviators. She also states that 3d and 9th Houses are prominent due to their connections with Transportation.

Mars combined with Uranus rules Accidents (Bills). Mars combined with Pluto and probably most other planets rules Crashes. This chart shows this clearly. Mars is at 1 Libra, a prominent Aries point spot. Mars is located up in the 10th House but still very close to the 11th House cups of Aviation. And Mars is squaring the Chart ruler Pluto at 29 Sagittarius (H2). So the potential for anything explosive was indicated but the same aspect comes up in today's chart as well. Yesterday's Aries Moon which disposed to Mars would have added extra volatility to the day's events. The Moon rules the 9th House in this chart. (I haven't checked the Moon placement for today to see if the Moon is still in Aries).

Mercury and Venus were conjunct at 18 Virgo up in the 10th House. This angular placement gives them prominence. They are conjunct Saturn which rules the 3d House. They are also prominent because they oppose Uranus which rules Aviation. Together they rule the 11th House of Aviation and 3d House of Transportation.

There are many special Uranian Aspects which could specifically point towards an Airline Disaster rather than some other kind of disaster. Uranus here is angular. It is a singleton in Water. Aquarius is intercepted in the 3d House of Transportation.

Also intercepted in the transportation houses are the Nodal Axis, Neptune, Chiron in the 3d House and the Sun in the 9th House.Doris Chase Doane's addition of Neptune rulership to Aviation is also very interesting here. Neptune is even in mutual reception with Uranus.

As for looking for looking for the cause of the crash, I'm afraid I don't know. I'm not familiar with where to look for causes of things and will have to look for that information once the reports confirm it. The chart does show an explosion. The cause is now called "Error in Take Off." Is that indicated by the 1st House? Pluto rules the 1st House and I suppose this rules the Take Off. Pluto rules the sexual organs of the body and I don't know which section of the plane provides its mojo. One cause talked about is Human Error. Perhaps the Pilot was flirting with the Stewardess and not paying attention? Perhaps drugs or alcohol is involved. With Pluto ruling the chart and in hard aspect to Mars both angular and on an Aries Point, there could be a revenge motive to the crash, i.e. it was intentional. This in addition to the Saturn-Neptune-Chiron connection to 3d House might indicate mental depression.

With Saturn ruling the 3d House cusp and Neptune placed in the house one can see room for pilot error in thinking. Saturn rules breaking, caution, perhaps exhaustion from the delayed flight? and Neptune rules not paying attention. As said before, Neptune is conjunct the North Node and Chiron and these are in Aquarius which is intercepted within the 3d House. The 11th House of Aviators is empty with Mars widely conjunct the cusp from House 10. The Sun is intercepted in the 9th House.

Doane does include Mars' prominence in Airplanes because of the connection with mechanics. Mars placed in Libra and whatever part of the plane that would rule (Kidneys?) should be key in describing what went wrong. Air conditioning mechanical failure would make sense as Libra is an Air sign devoted to creating balance and harmony. That's what Air Conditioning does. Will have to come back to this.

I wish a speedy recovery to the survivors from their injuries and send sympathies to the families of those who were lost.
