Bicyclists Killed in Brooklyn

Five Bicyclists were killed on the streets of Brooklyn within a month of each other. 10 cyclist fatalities have occurred this past year alone.

Wow, this Summer, bicycling was for New Yorkers what guns were to Oakland and San Jose (liberal hypocrisy of the area at its finest) and hiking was for visitors to Yosemite.

Just these weird coincidental pockets of fatalities that I'm finding cropping up in the news.

The New Yorkers place "Ghost Bikes" up at locations where bicyclists are killed. Hopefully some proper bike lanes will be set up to protect them in the future.

I suspect that this is all related in some way to the Nodal Axis transit of the signs which rule hiking and local transportation, Gemini. At this point the South Node is in Gemini. That's the end of the Nodal Axis which represents some sort of fault in the Destiny which throws off the good things that are offered by the opposite end (which would be issues ruled by Sagittarius). Things that don't work in the local environment (Gemini) will cause problems in the big environment (Sagittarius) (International).

Here's a list of the recent fatalities from the information I could find. Can't vouch for accuracy of the information.

Aug. 1, Monday. 29-year old Robert Doyle killed.

Aug. 2, night, 70-year old Andrezei Wisnuk killed.

Aug. 18, before 5:40 pm, 52-year old Jeffrey Axelrod killed

Aug. 30, 7:00 pm 29-year old Erica Abbott killed.

Sep. 2, (Friday), 8:30 pm, 24-year old Nicolus Djandj killed.

Oct 18, night, Matthieu Lefevre killed, 30-years old, born Mars 1981.

Since 3 of these people were 29-30 it seems that perhaps Saturn in Libra is connected with bicycling. That is the age associated with the first Saturn Return. I sort of suspect that Libra isn't the greatest sign for drivers. You don't want to have a relationship with everything on the road. I think they might feel less safe around all that Mars-Mercury driving type stuff because they know what can happen and subsequently it does happen. Saturn is related to one's issues of safety and caution. Interesting that the last 3 mentioned were all artists, as well. Libra is very much associated with artists who seek balance and harmony.

Kind of interesting to note that most of the deaths occurred after work hours. Venus has been in conjunction with the Ascendant pretty much consistently during these months around that time. And Saturn is dispositing to Venus because of its transit in Libra. Venus also rules the 3d House of transportation for much of that time. I'm getting carried away with the Venus stuff here. But, for some reason it is standing out. Accidents are ruled by Mars and Uranus together. Mercury rules local transportation, daily routes, that type of thing.

Saturn was mostly in the 2d house. I don't know what that means except that it is opposite the 8th House of Death. Saturn is related to brakes, safety precautions, exhaustion.

I went back to the Total Lunar Eclipse that occurred on June 15 the way I did while looking at the deaths in Yosemite over the Summer. The chart is pretty interesting when set for New York.

In New York this Eclipse had a 5 Scorpio Rising chart. That means that Pluto was Ruler of the chart. And Pluto was conjunct the 3d House cusp in a tight one degree orb. This Eclipse contains the last pass of the big Saturn-Uranus-Pluto t-square which means that the victims who were going through their Saturn Returns were also under the influence of this challenging aspect. Pluto was apex of that t-square so is a very strong figure in that chart. This shows, in hindsight of course, that some larger than life crises related to local neighborhoods, transportation, roads, neighbors, siblings was related to New York.

Dakota Meyer at the Bridge

Back in college I decided to major in Classics for awhile. Problem with that was comprehension. The Greeks and the Romans were smart folks and I didn't really have all the brain power necessary to absorb all that creativity. From all the boring penguin editions that I read from I can only remember two anecdotes.

Herodotus was actually fun (at times) even when he was talking about Generals of Armies and things. He invented the idea of History by writing down all the mythology and stories about the culture in which he lived. There was no pressure to be accurate at that point and sometimes he is called the Father of Lies for his tendency to include fabrications and fantastic stories that nobody believes.

Among the most boring historian on earth had to have been Livy who lived in ancient Rome. He was dry and long-winded and probably pretty accurate in his tellings. Livy wrote many many many many Penguin Editions. After a while I realized that it was a waste of time for me to read him because I could not remember anything he wrote. Except for one story -- that of Horatio at the Bridge.

At this point, it's about 30 years later so I've got all the details mixed up about Horatio. What I do remember is that the story of Horatio was so out of character for Livy and seemed so unreal that we all just guffawed at it in class. Where the hell did Livy get off including this unbelievable story in his assemblage of mass and accurate detail?

From what I remember Horatio was a Roman warrior who was defending a bridge, a key transport route down to Rome. He spent hours maybe days fending off a bunch of grinning blue eyed Aryans who I seem to remember had just crossed the Alps on the backs of Elephants. Hmm, maybe the elephants were part of another story about Persians, sorry. Anyway, the Aryans were big and brash, you know, basic German tourists, but in this case they were out to sack Rome so probably carrying spears and rocks. By himself Horatio killed them all, however many there were. We all laughed about how Livy must have been on acid that day. Or that he was channeling Hercules who was a myth and didn't exist. Who could believe this story?

So, where was I? Oh yeah. The War in Afghanistan.

On Thursday President Obama awarded the highest medal possible to an ex-Marine named Dakota Meyer. Dakota defied his superiors' orders because his entire group of friends were caught in battle and were calling for help. The superiors denied the help.

Certain unnamed soldiers in command will supposedly lose their rankings/jobs for incompetence demonstrated that day. Meyer and another soldier, Juan Rodriguez-Chavez, should not even have had to do what they did if their superiors had been competent. The names of these guys are left out of the articles, but I think it's important because it looks to me as if there were issues with giving proper attention to where it is due. There were mix-ups. Mercury was stationing Retrograde.

While receiving his medal Meyer said that it seems unbelievable to receive so much attention for what had been the worst day of his life. Would be interesting to see his entire chart but if the date provided on Wikipedia is true then I could see how Meyer's life could unfold in this way. I actually remember the Greek concept of kalon-kakon, situations which is both a Blessing and a curse occurring at the same time.

I don't have Rodriquez-Chavez' birthday so I'm not going to discuss his astrology. He was given the second highest award that the Navy honors its heroes along with another officer, Ademola Fabayo. I've included a link to an interview with Fabayo the day after the battle down below which explains what happened from his point of view. He provides the timing for the battle which is important astrologically.

First thing astrologers will look at here is that Mercury was stationing Retrograde at 7 Libra in the 1st house right as this battle began. Mercury rules the Virgo rising. Mercury rules communications. Retrogrades indicate a time when Mercury's motion is seen from earth as moving backwards so in traditional astrology communications are said to break down more than usual. What it means is that Mercury spends an extra long time in one sign and there's no feeling of moving forward and smoothly.

There was a Sun-Saturn conjunction almost exactly on the Ascendant. Saturn rules cautionary actions, or stoppages altogether. Saturn is so careful that often he won't help. He also rules authority and bosses.

Saturn was opposing Uranus 26 Pisces which was in the 7th House of partnerships. Pluto wasn't quite within orb of squaring either one of them but he was also angular in H4 and on the very important Aries Point at 1 Capricorn.

The outer planet t-square aspect of these 3 planets has been going in and out of orb for the last two years-plus. It is considered a very stressful, life changing configuration. Lots of divorces, lots of market crashes, lots of earthquakes and floods (especially with Uranus and Neptune where they are). Lots of the types of changes that people don't handle very well.

This t-square describes the event pretty well. Saturn represents authority. Sun represents Military. Along with the Sun represents authority in the military. Placed in Virgo there might not be great leadership. Pluto in the 4th House represents spying, espionage, betrayal, death, an environment like quicksand. Mars in Cancer during the fight just enhances this. Pluto in Saturn's sign right on the Aries point shows that there might be some destruction of military command. And then there's Uranus the Revolutionary. He's in the 7th House getting ready to defy orders in order to save his friends. The 7th House is also significant in diplomacy matters and in dealing with open enemies.

Mercury rules this chart through the Virgo Rising. Although Virgo doesn't like to lead he can often do just as much by working through the details. In this case, the soldiers had the mentality to discern that they would have to deal with the situation on their own because the leadership wasn't there. They just kept charging and charging and charging. When one jeep broke they brought in another one.

I don't have the exact time that Meyer and Rodriquez-Chavez realized that they would have to act on their own. Time given is the beginning of gunfight according to the interview with Ademola Fabayo (url given at bottom). The current articles just say "before dawn."

When I read the first article about Dakota Meyer I just wanted to know what planets he's got in Scorpio. The Marines are all required to remember the birthdate of their corps which is November 10. It just seemed significant since the Marines are considered the hard core fighters who go in at the front lines. Scorpios don't necessarily like a crisis but they tend to be good at dealing with them because of their staying power.

It's pretty interesting that the only other Marine to receive this medal had the same birthday as the Marines. He was Jason Lee Dunham, born Nov. 10, 1981. He died on Apr. 22, 2004, 8 days after diving in to stick his helmet on top of a grenade to save his friends.

The story about how Dakota Meyer worked as the gunner while Rodriquez-Chavez drove the jeep is extraordinary, right out of Livy. These two ran 5 trips over a 6 hour period. Meyer jumped out of the jeep to drag the wounded back while the Taliban were shooting at them. Rodriquez-Garcia was driving the vehicle around to shield the wounded. As the gunner, Meyer was completely exposed. He killed 8 Taliban fighters, evacuated 12 wounded, provided cover for 24 Marines and soldiers (those number might not be exactly accurate).

It looks as if Meyer is mostly ruled by Water with a Cancer Sun and a North Node (Life Path) in Pisces and probably a Scorpio Moon. Personally I'm amazed that with all that water he performed so well out in the middle of the desert. Maybe he really has a Fire Sagittarius Moon. The water does give him great psychic abilities to see through a situation. Maybe it made him more invisible to the enemy. Ernest Hemingway was a Cancer Sun so one sort of gets that sense in Dakota Meyer as well.

Meyer's chart is amazing to look at in connection with this event.

For one, he has Mars in conjunction with his North Node at 22 and 17 Pisces respectively. Mars is the Warrior of Astrology and the North Node represents the true direction of one's life path. They are combined here in Pisces which isn't often considered the boldest aspect for a soldier by typical Western Military standards. But Pisces has other methods. He is probably very useful in dealing with smoke screens, deception and people who rely on terrorism in order to get ahead. Mars represents speed, impulse, rashness. This squares his natal Venus Rx and Mercury in Gemini. This combines his mental and physical coordination with his basic loyalties to his comrades in a challenging but energized way.

Transiting Uranus (rebellion, groups, friends, shock, surprise, sudden events) is within conjunction with Meyer's natal Mars by 4 degrees on the day of the fight. Uranus rules one's friends and community who he was fighting (Mars) for. Also, Meyer's progressed Mars is at 2 Aries on this day. This is directly squaring not only the big outer planet t-square of the day but is also squaring a huge opposition from Sun-Chiron to SAturn-Uranus-Neptune that Meyer has in his chart right on the Aries POints (coming before the public).

Transiting Mars was also involved at 8 Cancer. So it was right over Meyer's natal Sun and opposing his natal Neptune 9 Capricorn. Pluto, the higher octave of Mars, was at 1 Capricorn opposing Mars and in conjunction with his natal Saturn-Uranus-Neptune.

His natal Sun is in conjunction with Chiron, 6 and 1 Cancer respectively, and are opposing Saturn-Uranus who are in conjunction on the same degree at 29 Sagittarius. Therefore, his natal chart, the transiting chart, and his progressed chart all meld together on the strongest points of the astrological wheel. Interesting that the conjunction of Saturn-Uranus plays out during the transiting opposition of these same planets, but this mirroring seems to happen quite a bit. Everyone born around the time that Meyer was born will have this conjunction but their inner planets might not trigger an event quite as significant.

Pluto (ruler of the Marines) is also important to look at here. Pluto is considered the higher octave of Mars and so is considered sort of a spiritual warrior. He represents the use of human will and instinct.

Meyer's natal chart has Pluto strong in its own sign of rulership at 10 Scorpio. Because Pluto spends so long in one sign this is true for everyone of his generation. Pluto is strong in his chart because it trines his natal Sun. His Sun also disposits to Pluto. And Pluto is the Lead Planet of a locomotive chart shape. There's so much more to look at here. I'm simply amazed and shocked by this story. I hope he goes on to study great ideas in College and to further learn how to use his great talents. President Obama shared a beer with him on the White House lawn and gave him some good advice to just take it slow. After the Trojan War Odysseus spent 20 years getting lost trying to make his way back home. Interesting how one must go on a second journey in order to unwind from the first journey.


The beginnings of the battle according to DianaWest.net was at 5:30 am. It seems that Dakota Meyer and Juan Rodriguez-Chavez must have defied orders after about 7:30 am at some point.

Whitey Bulger: The Gig Is Up

So, if you're a gangsta, a real wise guy, and you're on the lamb, runnin wit yer broad, hiding out in plain sight, how do you know when you're about to get caught?

Well, palsy, blame it on the t-square and the eclipses.

The FBI did an amazing thing yesterday, maybe it was 2 days ago. I actually remember looking at the photos. They published pictures of a woman as she looked a while ago and as she looked after having plastic surgery and they asked if anyone knew her and almost immediately someone did and reported her. She looked completely different in the photos. That's why I was looking at them. I remember thinking she could be half the people I pass on the street every day. And she came with baggage. She has been living with, maybe even married to, an old mobster from Boston who has killed 19 people. He also worked as a snitch for the FBI and "corrupted" the department. That makes him interesting.

Funny thing is he is a Virgo Sun with Moon either in Leo or in Virgo just like Anthony Weiner who just got caught in the sex scandal. How weird is that? Guess it's not so weird for the Virgos. Saturn was really hard on them. And someone over on the Noel Tyl forum pointed out that the recent Eclipse squared Weiner's Sun. So maybe it's the same for Whitey.

This guy, "Whitey", has been on the 10 Most Wanted List for years. Now he's 81 and on death's door and they take him in. I swear. Only a Virgo could get away with this game.

The Outer Planet t-square is right on Whitey's chart. For one, he's just entering his Uranus return within a few degrees. Uranus in Aries. I guess that's sort of a scary thing for these new kids to have to think about. Natal Uranus is 11 Aries. T. Uranus, I forgot to write down. It's in there somewhere.

This guy has natal Mercury-Mars conjunction at 6-9 Libra opposing natal Uranus. What a fast talker. Not so fast with Saturn, the slow planet, transiting over, I guess.

And then there's Pluto. And Pluto is transiting close to natal Lilith at 12 Capricorn. Well, those two are happy in the sack together. It was the dame that got him busted.

And transiting NN looks like it's the clinker. It's exactly conjunct natal Saturn at 24 Sagittarius. It looks like maybe Sagittarius is playing a big chart in this guy's natal. His progressed Sun has just changed signs from Scorpio to Sagittarius. Wow, he must have gotten sloppy for one instant there and downloaded himself to the FBI.

They say he's sick. Maybe some sort of Liver problem? He's old, that's for sure. Just read about some guy who held up a bank for 1 dollar just so he could go to jail and get some free healthcare. Maybe that's what's up for Whitey. The gal probably turned him in because she couldn't be bothered with the caretaker's role.

Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Eclipse? Big Bad Eclipse? Big Bad Eclipse?

This Eclipse set has me spooked personally. Maybe because there are 3 Gemini/Cancer combo's which reflects my signs. I guess the last one is the only which hits my natal planets, my Sun, H2. Wednesday June 15 is the 20th anniversary of my Mother's death. Got a little turned upside down on that day.

My Step-Mother died this year on February 11. That was a lesson in greed.

Well, that Saturn-Uranus-Pluto t-square is off the angles. And it's going to say bah bye soon. But, the message is: It ain't over, Fat Lady needs to sing.

Germany Has Worst E.Coli Outbreak in Modern History

An outbreak of a new strain of e.coli bacteria has so far killed 22 people in Europe and has infected 450 people, possibly as many as 1213 more. The Hospitals are said to be filled to capacity. How's that for Neptune's entrance in to its own sign of Pisces. I suppose we might look to blame the water supply somehow, but apparently it's the produce. At first Germany blamed the outbreak on some organic cucumbers from Spain which almost sent Europe into WWWIII. Now they say that they suspect the source was some bean sprouts which were served up at a restaurant in Lubeck, Germany. I've read that bean sprouts are really notorious carriers of these types of disease. Wonder why the hippies like them so much. At any rate, they are now the villains. I saw a photo of some being held in some tongs. They looked like vile worms. Never thought you could make a bean sprout look so creepy. Just read a story about 6 people who came down with the disease, 3 women and 3 men. They said they had only one bathroom for the women and one bathroom for the men and this severely affected their ability to queue properly. Can you imagine? I can. I had the Salmonella when I was a kid and was quarantined for a month.

I picked up some dates from Wikipedia. The deadliest outbreak of all time makes sense as Saturn-Pluto and Uranus sort of are in their final pass of the notorious t-square pattern. Neptune rules poisons along with Pluto and it is strong in its own sign. Pluto is in the sign of Capricorn which just expresses issues regarding being stuck and also in using force. It is squaring Saturn which is ruling Capricorn. Saturn in Libra shows a weakening of the kidneys which this food poisoning is said to be very good at. Something called hemolytic-uremic syndrome (HUS).

Probably having the South Node in Gemini doesn't help the matter. I tend to think that diseases spread rapidly with this sign.

The first case was confirmed on May 2. That's a new Moon in Taurus. The Moon had just passed over a huge stellium in Aries: Uranus 3 Aries; Venus 14 Aries; Mercury 17 aries; Jupiter 23 Aries; Mars 23 Aries. These were all setting off the outer planet Cardinal Sign t-square. Interesting that Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and this is considered a new strain of e.coli, only confirmed one other time in Korea.

Of course, since Aries is the God of War I'm suspicious that this is some biowarfare thing, but I'm paranoid, of course. With New Moon in Taurus, the people at the catered event were probably just over-eating.

The first death came on May 21, 2011. The Sun changed signs to Gemini and was exactly squaring Neptune-Chiron 1-6 Pisces. The Moon was in Capricorn. There was a tight conjunction of Venus-Mars-Mercury at 7-8 Taurus. This is close to the placement of where the New Moon was when the first case was noticed which would have been about 12 Taurus.

Perhaps the guilty vegetable is some sort of Taurus thing.

But, it's not the cucumbers. Of course, they blamed organic. And the Spaniards are p'o'd about being blamed. And then it turns out that the new strain probably was released from a creepy laboratory somewhere.

There were no planets in Virgo for this one, let me tell you. I'd suspect there could more problems with food that arise from this t-square. I guess there was a huge rise of suicides among farmers in India. I hate to think what the reason for that is, but it should certainly be of more concern to more people, imo.

Missing Nurses in Bay Area

A beautiful young Nursing Student went missing a week ago Friday. She was taking a break from her class at a hospital in Hayward, CA. Her name is Michelle Hoang Thi Le.

Estebar suspected that Le was involved romantically with her child's Father. I'm not sure of the age of the child because of news reports. Estebar is said to be 7 months pregnant with her second child.

Either way, my interpretation was way off. Will never publish another crime in progress like this again. My apologies to the family of Michelle Le.

Michelle's disappearance bears many similarities to another missing person case from last year which ended up as an unsolved murder. This was the disappearance and murder of Phuong Le who disappeared a few days before her 25th Birthday.

The events of the disappearances share some remarkable similarities. Both women are born within a year of each other so are the same age. They are both nursing students. They are of Vietnamese descent and they live in the Bay Area. They even drive similar white cars, SUVs, and have the same last name (although it's pretty common). Their cars have been found along with most of their belongings left inside.

They also went missing around the same time of year (April 25, 2010 and May 27, 2011). And they were both seen just as Scorpio rules the chart. Scorpio rules violent crimes so this is of extreme concern. Taurus rules the Descendant in these charts. Assuming that this describes the Victims, it is interesting that from the birth dates I have found for the women that they are both Venusian Sun Signs. Phuong was a Taurus Sun. Michelle may or may not be a Libra Sun.

Since the Ascendant and Descendant describe the victim and victimizer in an event chart this might indicate that the cases are related. There's about a 2 hour window time frame for this particular Rising Sign and we don't have official times for either event chart. The articles I've read say that the police say there is about a 30percent chance that their crimes are related. It seems as if the Taurus/Scorpio Axis will describe whatever motives and tensions occurred between victim and victimizers. We don't know for sure that Michelle Le is a victim and didn't just skip town for some reason, but reports from people who know her say that it would be very uncharacteristic of her to do so.

At 7pm, Mercury (sibling), Venus (female), and Mars (male) were in a conjunction in Taurus and passing over the Descendant.

Both event charts contain the stressful Saturn-Uranus-Pluto t-square configuration which can show that stresses from the environment and culture at large may play in to the crimes. Since the event charts may possibly have similar house placements the t-square may be placed in the same houses within the charts for each crimes. This has apex-ruler Pluto in Capricorn in the 2d House (Taurus, Money, Self worth). The Saturn-Uranus opposition is hanging out over the H6-12 cusps. They are in different signs in both charts as both planets have changed signs over the last year. Pluto is the planet of jealousy. It shows the motive. This t-square points to the empty 8th house which Pluto rules. This t-square has been at these locations, though, every night in April-May for the last 2 years, though, so the crimes can't really be described through them, except to say that they could have occurred as result of long standing stressors.

I'd guess that any suspects involved might have had this t-square playing heavily on their natal charts. But, often, victims and victimizers will have the same aspects and transits so it's always difficult to draw conclusions.

Both women's charts were under stress from this t-square in the following ways:

Phuong Le had a natal square between Venus 7 Aries to Neptune 4 Capricorn Rx in her chart. This will show that she had heightened romantic fantasies and artistic talent. This combination is often connected with drugs in some way, so nursing is a natural positive outlet.

Michelle Le has a conjunction of Neptune 29 Sagittarius-Mars 5 Capricorn-Jupiter 7 Capricorn in her natal chart. This would show heightened fantasies as well, maybe a Prince Charming complex. Mars shows the types of men women are attracted to. Venus shows how women express their end of their love lives.

I wrote about a month ago about another missing Nursing Student in Tennessee who possibly happens to have the same birth date as Michelle Le who just disappeared. different year, but, wow, these stories are pretty bad. I can't make heads or tails of the charts aside from the fact that, if I'm working with the correct birth dates, both young women were born in a difficult year. Both Saturn and Pluto were in Scorpio when they were born. Phuong had had a relation with a boss who is married and has a family. She had had an argument with a sister earlier in the day. And she had recently graduated from school and was concerned about finding a job.

Michelle was supposedly on her way to Reno for the week-end. The news isn't mentioning this but sometimes that can indicate a gambling problem. Scorpio tends to present complications like this.

Both women have transiting Pluto passing over natal Neptune in Capricorn right now, or very recently. This is a signature for "Wipe Out" (usually just in the spiritual sense) as Noel Tyl calls this combination.

Sun is widely conjunct the North Node in Taurus and is widely opposing Pluto 3-4 Scorpio. Her n. Saturn 26 Scorpio is widely conjunct the South Node 19 Scorpio. Scorpio is the sign most often connected with Murder. Pluto rules that sign. The Nodal Axis can show events/conditions affecting life path/destiny. Sun and Saturn and Pluto connected together like this can show issues surrounding use of force. It's also a very unforgiving connection. Saturn-Pluto types are somehow not as forgivable as other people. They are often seen together in the charts of healers as well because the sense of forcefulness can be emotional or psychic as much as physical. Phuong also has a conjunction of Jupiter-Uranus in Pisces which would have really enforced her desire to help others in the world. This mirrors the transiting conjunction of those planets which occurred this past year.

Phuong's chart also shows a conjunction of Mars 3 Gemini c. Chiron 7 Gemini which opposes the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction and may or may not square her natal Moon. This might show a restless spirit and an attraction to restless men. She had had an affair with her boss at a previous job at a Postal Store (the Gemini works literally here). Her boss was married and was questioned a lot during the investigation, as one can imagination.

Since I've been posting about Whales so much lately thought I'd look up the publication date for Moby Dick.

Wikipedia says that the book was published in the United States on Nov. 14, 1851, New York: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moby-Dick. It was published a month earlier in Britain.

Whale, how about that Water Imagery? Neptune in Pisces, it's own sign. Sun in Scorpio. Moon at noon is at 1 Leo. There's a possibility that it could be considered a last degree of Cancer. That would certainly fit with "force of nature" imagery.

And there was a conjunction of Saturn-Pluto-Uranus over the Aries-Taurus cusp which was opposing Jupiter in Scorpio so we have major outer planet activity.

Planetary Cycles and the San Bruno Gasline Explosion

It's not a surprise that last year's stressful outer planet t-square made between Saturn-Uranus and Pluto could have brought some break-downs in anything having to do with infrastructure. It did bring a lot of fixes as Obama channeled stimulus funds into that area. Roads, plumbing, telecom got fixed. Cyber security was probably studied, but Wikileaks showed where some of the vulnerabilities were.

Article in today's San Francisco Chronicle, Feb. 6, 2011. Article discusses the findings for why the underground gas lines blew up in San Bruno, CA on Sept. 9. It'll be somewhere on the sfgate.com website. I went over there and got distracted.

"PG&E spiked 'highest risk' line: pressure increased on East Bay pipe despite 'high likelihood' of failure." by Eric Nalder and Jaxon an Derbeken.

Inspectors have honed down two most likely reasons for the explosion: Vulnerable welds in the pipes and pressure spikes in the gaslines. They've known all along that the pipes which were installed by a company called A.O. Smith way back when had big problems with this.

The astrology is totally amazing. There was also a huge t-square aspect between Saturn-Uranus and Pluto back in 1930 in Cardinal Signs. Jupiter was also hanging out in the aspect as well. I continually observe about how a natal chart is more vulnerable to transits when the transits mirror the natal aspects. Here we have a great example of that. Everyone knows that an 80 year old pipeline is old and might explode, especially in California where things were built very quickly to accommodate rapid growth.

Making this transit even more vulnerable, connecting the years 1930 with 2010 is the fact that this is a Uranus Return for the pipes. Uranus in Pisces, to be exact. And Pisces rules oil and gas.

PGE intentionally increased pressure (Mars?) on its line on June 19, 2009 on the Fremont-Livermore line 107. I don't know why that has any effect on the lines which run through San Bruno which is on the other side of the Bay from there and is sort of at the mouth of where Lines 109 and 132 split off and run up in to San Francisco. There's some weird talk about how there's a gold course in Pinol that should have been blown off the map with the power surge. I can totally understand how anything associated with Neptune would avoid the golfers, but I have a really bizarre sense of humor.

Line 132 is the one that exploded. But this "long festering issue" on line 107 out in the golf course is to blame, though. The article shows a map. You can see how far apart these are. I guess a fireball started underneath the golf course in Pinol and blasted down through Fremont and towards Milpitas (this is an area which reeks of Asian food pools under the freeway because they built into the Wetlands and the plumbing doesn't drain). Then after the fireball hit Milpitas it switched over to Sunnyvale which also doesn't drain, and then over to Mountain View, which also doesn't drain, and then up through Los Altos and Palo Alto and what's above Palo Alto? They've been working on the plumbing in parts of Palo and Redwood City, so they might occassionally drain. These lines run up along the freeway 280 so they pretty much miss where people live. Wow, that's a bizarre explanation these scientists and engineers have dreamed up. I'm just an Astrology Buff so I can believe pretty much anything, but this Science is really a big mystery. I mean, I get it how some golfer ate too many burritos for lunch thus launching the fireball from the country club bathroom, plus those golfers wear really ugly clothes, not good for Neptune sensibilities at all, but ... well, guess you had to be there. It's Science.

Everywhere that Hillary Goes An Earthquake's Sure to Follow

Hillary Clinton is a Scorpio Sun. Her natal Uranus is conjunct her Ascendant (assuming 29 Gemini Rising with 8pm birth time). And she's got a conjunction of Mars-Saturn-Pluto in Leo.

So, one might assume that Hillary's a bit disaster prone. This article describes how she seems to end up planning her travel around all the earthquakes which have been happening lately.

I thought I'd check her progressed chart against those aspects to see if anything can explain the rock 'n roll.

Well, the angles are loaded.

Hillary's progressed Ascendant right now is 19 Leo. So the natal Mars-Saturn-Pluto conjunction is conjunct that.

Her progressed Sun is conjunct p. Mercury at 7 and 4 Capricorn, respectively. So they are in conjunction with the Pluto-NN square Saturn transit. P.Sun and Mercury are in her natal 7th House, that's angular.

And, yowzah, her progressed Mars has just passed over the Nadir of her chart. At 7 Virgo it is trining progressed Sun at 7 Capricorn to the degree. Perhaps this exact trine in earth signs is making her a bit sympatico with the earth right now. (Well, she's always seemed to be that way anyway).

That's just the progressions. The Jupiter-Uranus conjunction which has been moving back and forth over the Pisces/Aries cusp is right over her natal Moon. Jupiter and Moon both rule overseas travels and Uranus rules sudden shocking events.

And, considering the transits, home base in the United States has been having lots of small earthquakes but nothing like what Hillary's experiencing in her travels. All she has to do is step off a plane (Jupiter-Uranus).

P.S. (Nov. 6, 2010): I started to realize that maybe Hillary's astrolocality chart explains things and that maybe we could make some really accurate earthquake predictions if we could just get hold of Hillary's travel plans for the next few months/year while her chart is still under such stress.

Yow! With Uranus conjunct her Ascendant she's going to be a lightening rod of some sort. Let's use it. This is one of those major boons for earthquake prediction that nobody's ever going to take advantage of. We just need to get Hillary's travel plans for the next 6 months and match those time with her Uranus and Mars-Saturn-Pluto lines! And it's so easy.

Hillary's Uranus ASC line runs right through all of the key spots noted in the article. It runs through Indonesia on the whole Asian side of the Pacific Rim and then up to Alaska and down through Chicago to Miami and Cuba and then down through Columbia and the middle of South America. She's got a Venus-Mercury-Chiron set of lines running through California and India. I bet she's already sold California to the East Indians. Crap. The sewer lines are never going to get fixed.

Pakistan is another story. Because of her natal Mars-Saturn-Pluto conjunction the lines for those planets run close to each other and right through India and Pakistan. They cross a bunch of other lines (Venus, Mercury, Chiron) in India.

6.9 Earthquake in Baja / More Than Average Amount of Earthquakes This Year?

Not vouching for accuracy or anything here but this blog says that there has been a big rise in Earthquakes for this year. As of this writing in September there were 13 big earthquakes this year. Today Baja Mexico just had another earthquake which I'll list below. That coincides with the big t-square between Saturn-Uranus and Pluto (plus Jupiter) which is happening this year. Uranus is the big Earthquake planet, but Pluto and Saturn are certainly involved. These planets were well placed on/near the angles in todays' chart. Uranus and Pluto will continue a really long square transit with each other for a few more years but Saturn is now separating from the t-square. Saturn is heading towards mid-degree Cardinal which is a vulnerable point for the Hayward/East Bay area in California (hits in December, square Pluto, in the December 21 Eclipse). So far the earthquakes in the areas have caused minimal deaths and damage. So far. Fingers crossed. I noticed a funny thing, though with the Hayward area and that it requires an outer planet in mid-Cancer which is not going to happen soon, there is actually a strong absence of Cancer connected with these planets).

What is also involved according to my half-assed theory of California earthquakes is/are prominence of Cardinal Signs in the charts. The Eclipses this year have been in the signs of Cancer/Capricorn which adds another Cardinal Sign element to the current astrological weather. Cancer/Capricorn are related to North and South Poles, probably so perhaps there is some sort of movement in that area. If the birds start getting confused in their migrations and flying East and West we'll really know something's up. Right now, there is a Jupiter-Uranus conjunction at the end of Pisces moving Retrograde, so when those two station back on around and move forward into Aries we might see more of the scary.

Today's 6.9 earthquake occurred between the Baja California peninsula and mainland Mexico. So far, Mexico seems to follow my theory of Cardinal Sign Sun quakes for this year. I had wondered if California would be hit by this energy after studying the Parkfield series of earthquakes. In January, California did have a major earthquake up in Eureka which is very far North in the State. And most of Southern California felt the April Earthquake in Mexico. The Sun in Cancer season brought an earthquake to Mexico but California didn't feel it. We've got another day I guess before the Sun leaves Libra so maybe California won't fall into the ocean this month (the Stock Market could crash next week though, a little).

Today's earthquake had the t-square planets mostly on the angles. Pluto-NN in Capricorn was in the 1st house. Saturn in Libra was conjunct the Midheaven to the degree and opposing the Moon-IC in Aries. The Moon 14 Aries was angular and Cardinal in the 4th House. The Sun was also angular and Cardinal in the 10th House.

Jupiter ruled this chart with 28 Sagittarius Rising (pretty close to the beginning of Cardinal Sign Capricorn). Jupiter was at 25 Pisces Rx conjunct Uranus 28 Pisces RX in the 3d House. Mars rules the 4th House of land and environment and was trining Jupiter-Uranus from 26 Scorpio up in the 11th house.

There were no deaths from this earthquake and I think no major damage. Perhaps a bottle of tequila fell off a shelf and a surfer caught an extra big wave. Gnarly session, dude.

The chart is bowl shaped with Saturn as lead planet and most elevated. The Moon is a singleton in fire.

Whew, I don't do predictions but it seems almost certain something will happen in January.

Living the Dream

California is about to have a Neptune Return, but, we're not quite there yet. The exhaustion is mounting that's for sure. We definitely need a new act and a new art form. But, in California, I keep hearing very cynical people yelping about how they've met yet another person who is out here "living the dream." "Living the dream" usually involves doing something really stupid.

So, here's one of those stories.

A rock band of aging 30-something ego problems blocked 4 out of 5 lanes of traffic on an L.A. freeway yesterday afternoon at Rush Hour by jumping on top of a truck plastered with their band logo. The marketing was all there. People who drive the rush hour traffic in L.A. are never in a very good mood and sitting in one's car for extended periods of time isn't really all that special of an event. What they are pissed off about is that the band has no talent and this was just another obnoxious act of desperation.

The lack of talent will hopefully ease up when Neptune hits Pisces. Granted the drivers on the L.A. freeways are among the most chemically altered in the World, but, still, they could use a little Neptune influence themselves to enjoy this stupid shit. Best to put this stuff off until after the Saturn, Uranus, Pluto stuff passes over. Those planets like to use the Infrastructure for other purposes.

Suicide Crisis Among Gay Teen Males

More than 5 boys have committed Suicide within the last month, mostly due to bullying and harassment from others concerning their sexual orientation. The death of Tyler Clementi who was a freshman at Rutgers University in New Jersey brought the whole crisis to major national attention. His death was extra horrific because he was basically raped by his roommate and dormmate over the Internet. It also occurred while there was a Full Moon placed over the big outer planet t-square.

I don't have birth dates for any of the victims so I will provide dates of death down below. I send my condolences to the friends, families who are affected. Hopefully, all communities are feeling affected by this epidemic and are now on the alert for their behaviors.

One first has to try to understand what astrological indicators indicate "homosexuality" and then one has to try to understand what indicates "Bullying" and then one has to understand what can happen involving "Suicide." None of these three subjects has been dealt with very well by Astrologers as far as I know so everything I say here is going to be my own opinion. Basically, I don't know. I'm just going to babble a few things that I think might be related.

Out of about 10 charts of homosexual men that I've looked at 9 had a challenging aspect from Mars to Uranus in their birth charts. Many also had a challenging aspect from Venus to Uranus. I haven't looked at gay womens' charts so I don't have any opinion about those. Mars represents the Male Energy. Uranus represents rebellion and very open minded thinking so this could just be the result of my having lived in California which is a place where Gays can live more openly than in other places. Venus represents the female principle of relationships and one on one relationships like marriage so one can see how if configured with Uranus it might make one more open to experimentation.

There are probably several reasons for homosexuality so one would have to understand all the possibilities in that regard. If homosexuality is genetic, then the Moon, Cancer and 4th House will somehow be involved. If abuse is involved, then one might look more at Mars or Pluto. That would take a doctoral degree's worth of study to understand.

There is currently a conjunction of Venus to Mars happening. This shows things connected to relationships, especially involving sexuality. On Sept. 9, 2010 the first Suicide occurred (from the list that I have, this is part of a bigger problem which started earlier on) in Greensburg, Indiana when 15 year old Billy Lucas hung himself after being bullied. Venus was at 1 Scorpio conjunct Mars in Libra at about 25 degrees . Both planets are debilitated in these signs. Libra rules Relationships and Mars rules Sex and Death so one can easily see the elevated significance of these planets working together in this situation. This conjunction was trining Neptune 27 Aquarius conjunct Chiron 28 Aquarius. Neptune is often connected with Suicidal feelings, feelings of being martyred, and Chiron is connected with aspects of ourselves that we can't fix but can teach others through. They are in the sign of Aquarius, ruled by Uranus which I just said I think is related to homosexuality. Trines will often show a need to get a release from problems whereas Squares and other hard aspects will show an ability to internalize and perhaps fight against the problem.

All the Suicides after Billy Lucas' occurred with Venus-Mars in Scorpio conjunctions. The intensity of sexuality and death as indicated by this connection is very powerful here. Scorpio relates to extreme actions. It might also be connected with a viral type of emotional despondency which will lead to suicide. Young men, going through the extreme hormonal changes at this age would be especially vulnerable. Scorpio rules sexuality. Kids at this age lack balance(Venus-Libra) as they try to understand how they relate to others (Aries-Libra Axis).

The Sun and Moon are also involved in hormonal problems. The Sun, at least for a while, on Sept. 9 was unaspected by major aspect to other planets. The Sun is probably also strongly related to Suicide as it relates to Vitality and Freedom from Self Consciousness, and fear of the shadows. Unfortunately, bullies need a little more self-consciousness, more fear of their own shadow behaviors and motivations.

As far as I know the next Suicide didn't happen until Sept. 19 when Seth Walsh hung himself in California. At this point the Sun was opposing Jupiter-Uranus and thus joining the big outer planet t-square. Tyler Clementi was the next Suicide on Sept. 22 when he jumped off a bridge. There was a Full Moon on both the Aries points and the outer planet t-square. The Sun on last degree Virgo was conjunct Saturn and the Moon was passing over the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces. This really does illustrate the transfer of energy from Pisces to Aries. The Moon in Cancer was then opposing Pluto-NN on Sept. 30 when Caleb Nolt died in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He's the latest, as far as I know. Please, kids, let it be the last.

NOTE: I don't know times of death so don't have exact placements for the Moon in any of these cases.

On September 9 there was also a conjunction of Moon in Libra to Saturn in Libra. Libra again brings up the idea of relationships and being super sensitive to what others think of one's self. Moon and Saturn are the planets which provide conservative structure within society. They rule family traditions and status in society. They also rule feelings of being picked on (Moon) and of being a failure (Saturn) and of not being respected (Saturn).

Saturn in Libra is actually exhalted which is supposed to be a positive thing. But Saturn is heavily aspectged as he has been for a year now. For one is going through a square to Pluto and the North Node in the sign of his rulership. Saturn-Pluto squares are the ultimate Bully aspect, probably along with some other negative problems like out of control Sun and/or Jupiter and Mercury. Pluto in Capricorn will be very concerned with power and domination and status and conformity. In the end it may cleanse and wipe out bad ideas concerning these traits in society on the large, but it will sacrifice many people before that. Saturn and Pluto working together can make the greatest changes in whatever they touch. This can be a magical level of force when used for good but if basic sensitivities and ethics aren't taught they will simply tread on everything in their path for their own benefit. Most of our best politicians have a strong conjunction of Mars-Saturn-Pluto in their charts. Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, and Bill Richardson. One can see how brilliant these people are but one can see how much they tend to be pulled back. All 3 have suffered serious set backs in their careers that would wipe out most other politicians. Saturn-Pluto can set very high standards and drive as easily as it can turn a person into a bully and a lot of this can be related to upbringing.

I've tried to discuss racism a little bit before. That's never discussed by astrologers either. Nothing can be described by a birth chart absolutely and depends on many other factors in an individuals' life. I suspect that Racism comes from some sort of prominence or imbalance in the first 3 or 4 signs of the Zodiac but certainly anything that occurs on a mass scale involves all the signs. Xenophobia, or fear of anyone who is different from one's self will come from not understanding how to deal with and accept strangers within one's tribe. Usually there is a good reason for these fears and often the Outer Planet signs won't allow discussion of the reasons. Sometimes it is lack of tolerance which can be a Saturnian/Capricorn thing. Fear of change can be a Fixed Sign thing. In the end it is pretty easy to see how all signs can be involved.

Looking back at the big t-square that's occurring right now, we see that on September 9, 2010 Jupiter and Uranus were opposing Saturn-Moon and squaring Pluto-NN. Jupiter represents Opinions and Uranus, at least in part, will represent homosexuality as it exists in current society at least. Jupiter-Uranus were both at 30 Pisces which is at the Aries Point. This is the birthing point of the Astrological Wheel when a whole new cycle begins, like the eve before Spring. I've already mentioned Pisces' connection with suicidal feelings and martyrdom. On the larger outer planet scale, society is deciding what growth it wants to encourage. Obviously young Gay men are suffering a whole lot. It seems that they might be benefiting from the public controversies over Gay marriage but maybe this is actually making their adolescence years even more difficult. Probably the pushing (Saturn) of the older Gay community for equality in Marriage rights is bringing up a lot of challenges for the community as a whole. Saturn in Libra is a great time to think about this problem, but the current t-square will set the kind of tone that creates Loss. Overall, this isn't the best time. Not only are these young boys going through hormonal changes, difficult as that is, but their sexual attractions are being hotly discussed from all angles. Their self-identities are in upheaval. Older generations maybe couldn't be as open about their coming out but they also weren't the center of attention.

EDIT 10/4 to ADD:

Just to tie this in with my other research about trauma in children of divorce I will point out the theory (don't know how much of it is my own) that the stages of development in children and people correspond remarkably close to the first planetary cycles. A child will go through a major stage of development during the first progressed Moon/Saturn opposition which occur around Ages 13 and 14. There is another major phase of development around the time of the first Nodal Return at around Age 18.8. (Children with Sun-Venus conjunctions in their charts often seem to go through major 8 year cycles - age 8 and 16 in this case.) The ages of these boys seem to mostly correspond with those cycles and the two astrological influences involved are caught up in the big outer planet t-square. Saturn in Libra and, wow, talk about a difficult Nodal Return with Pluto in Conjunction to the North Node right now.

Two boys were 15 years old. I think that might be connected with Chiron, but mostly I think that age 15 just sucks. There's a wide gap during adolescence where most kids don't go through major planetary cycles, or parts of cycles. It seems that this is their first real chance in life to express themselves. Most of us remember what kind of pain is involved with that exploration.

JetBlue Flight Attendant Steven Slater had a bad day at work today. At around noon, just as Flight 1052 bound from Pittsburgh to New York was taxi-ing to a stop at the airport, a passenger bounded out of his seat ignoring the "Do Not Unfasten Seat Belt Sign", and began grabbing for his luggage in the overhead bin. There's always one in the crowd. The passenger is said to have hit Flight Attendant Stephen Slater in the head with his bag as Slater was asking him to remain seated. It must not have been Gucci because the two immediately started cussing each other out. Slater got onto the PA system and began to cuss the guy out over the loudspeakers. After bidding adieau with an "I've had it. That's it." Steven dropped the emergency shoot out onto the runway, jumped it, walked to his car and drove home. He was then arrested.

Arrested? What--eveeeer.

The chart is pretty cool. Today the Leo New Moon was just hitting the Midheaven at the time of the incident. Nothing say High Noon at OK Corral more than a Leo New Moon at High Noon. The Sun is conjunct the Moon at the very tip top of the chart in the Sign of Drama, Firey Emotions, Bossy Behaviors, and Noble Deeds in the 10th House of, shall we say, *****Major Career Decisions*****

The tense t-square that is currently plaguing the entire world, that is Saturn-Uranus-Pluto, is loaded up with extra planets right now. Venus and Mars are in conjunction with Saturn one the first degrees of Libra. Jupiter is conjunct Uranus at the beginning of Aries. And Pluto is conjunct the North Node in Capricorn.

The opposition part of the t-square is layered right over the 6th House of Daily Job Routine and Service and the 12th House of Self-Undoing and Martyrdom. They are squaring PLuto (power)-NN (destiny) in the 3d House of Transportation and, uh, Verbal Communications. However unplanned for, Steven Slater, decided to redirect the path his life was taking today with regards to employment status.

Jupiter and Uranus, which together rule the Airlines and Air Travel are in conjunction to the 6th House cusp of Daily Job Routine and Service. The closest time I can find of the incident is "around Noon". At that time Libra would have been rising at 27 degrees, so Venus would have ruled the chart (conjunct Saturn and Mars and the 12th House cusp) and Mars would have ruled the Descendant (Customer).

This can easily be considered a violent combination but placed within the Mutable Signs there's probably nobody who doesn't identify more with Steven Slater's plight than with the pushy customer. At Age 37 or 38 Slater is close to going through his Nodal Return right now. This would be a tough one what with it conjunct Pluto and squaring all those planets and all. More than other signs Capricorn can run into snags with providing Customer Service. When Capricorn says No, Capricorn means "No." Interesting how the argument was over safety issues which is a major Saturnian issue. It sure is a great expression of the Mars-Saturn conjunction square Pluto which generally indicates "emergency procedures."

Unfortunately, the 12th House also rules Jail and Slater was arrested at his home soon after the incident.

The DSM-5: Everything a Squirrel Can Do To a Clipboard

Probably the most anticipated publication of a book in modern times will be the publication of the new edition of the DSM, or "Diagnostic Something-Something Manual." This is the Bible of Modern Culture that categorizes the nuts and whackos into finely tuned #'s and ensures that at least half of undergraduates in the United States get degrees in psychology and have employment after graduation. So, next time you have to sit at your 8 to 5 job next to a hungover co-worker who goes on and on about how her child has the ADHD and her friend's kid have the Autism and her ex-boyfriend is a sociopath and her sister is a paranoid schizophrenic, you know where to go to read more.

There's a little newspaper freebie that's handed out in the Silicon Valley called The Epoch Times which hopefully is handed out all over the world and will be handed out more and more. The articles are great. The newspaper covers articles about worldly events written by people who live in those places and thus write about with a local sort of concern and perspective. The August 5 issue has an unbelievable story about how China is removing and selling organs from anyone who it jails for social re-activeness against their government. That's the important article, printed near the front of the paper, but towards the back there is a great article about psychiatry's newest Trojan horse. Apparently, the psychiatrists not only can treat only a handful of the disorders which they diagnose, but they are observing so many more which they feel ought to be included for future insurance company lawsuits. It's called "breaking down the patient into tiny little pieces so that he will never ever get away." After this thing is published psychiatrists will be able to diagnose their patients for disorders which they can sense will occur 20 years down the line. So young people will live under this hellish, dehumanizing umbrella for the rest of their lives. Well, if you can't help em, you might as well hurt em.

I'm going to remind myself that this is the profession that's been dumping anti-d's down the general public and has only recently discovered that the curative powers of said med's are basically placebo. Meanwhile, they haven't quite yet admitted that there's a whole generation of folks with wrecked livers and gall bladders or whatever organ is responsible for the diabetes. Let us also not forget the environmental impact of these great experiments. The main pharmaceuticals that have been found to be currently poisoning the fish in the oceans are psychiatric drugs. Remember what goes in has to come out. Current filtration systems can't remove them. Meanwhile it turns out that eating what used to be fish used to help with mental disorders. (The DSM doesn't include a chapter on nutrition, so how could they possibly such a science exists?)

The "Get Help folks", oh my God. And yeah, the article says that anybody diagnosed as Eccentric in any way will now be diagnosed as Mentally Ill.

I think, but am not sure, that they are managing to do a positive thing. This new edition will stop saying that homosexuality is a mental illness. (What took so long?). Is the Task Force Gay? Are they doing for the straight people what the Gay Male Fashion Designers have done for Anorexic girls in society?

So, Facism's finest hour will be in May, 2013. There goes my theory that the Grand Trines of that year will form great new civilizations on earth.

There's all kind of borderline psychiatry in the Task Force list, names like McNulty. Swedo. Skwado. You say Tomato, I say Tomahto. I doubt a patient would choose people with names like these as Doctors so no wonder these folks joined the Task Force (emphasis on the word "Force").

Okay, I don't have anger issues about how incompetent the psychiatric profession continues to be. Really I don't. (well, yeah, maybe I do) I just want to know who to blame this latest fiasco on. Is the DSM-5 going to be the fault of the Pluto in Leos or the Pluto in Virgos? (answer: Pluto in Leos, but with some major ass-wiping by the P in V's). The fact that they are diagnosing people for disorders that the people don't even have yet shows that authority is something which these folks really enjoy abusing. The last thing you want to do is to tell a Pluto in Virgo that he really can't see the Forest for the Trees. Virgo just doesn't want to leave anyone out so he could possibly include a diagnosis for absolutely everone on the planet (except himself, of course, self preservation is the Virgo's fighting song after all and if there's not a psych major out there who doesn't know how to blame others through that amazing b.s. called "projection" I haven't met him).

This tome will be the Frankenstein of the current inhumane t-square combination of Saturn-Uranus and Pluto in Control Freak Capricorn. It will be a reaction to what the Pluto in Cancer folks did in the psychiatric field, which actually was pretty good because some of those folks really did care about their patients. They were just too touchy feely. It's taken two generations to erase that song "Feelings" from all the elevator soundtracks. At any rate, the Pluto in Cancers took the electrodes away from the Pluto in Gemini's (God, was that fun or what?) and then I guess they either sent them down to Guantanamo or sold them to the Chinese for torturing their people into submission. Danger! Danger! Will Robinson! Pluto c. NN in Capricorn

So, have you ever been in that really obnoxious spot where a Saturnian person is telling you that your life is fucked up and you're being a pain in the ass? And you get all defensive and feel bad that you have a problem. And then afterwards you think about the Capricorn/Saturn person's life and realize that the Capricorn is more fucked up than you are and is basically just taking the blame out on you? Well, here we go. This rides lasts through the end of the year, just in time for the Capricorn's next birthday.

I've been saying that the Saturn-Uranus-Pluto t-square would bring issues regarding infrastructure. Turns out everything's falling apart. Well, not everything. And things fall apart no matter what. They just seem to really stand out when you've been expecting it to happen for the last 2 years or so.

Kind of interesting how the things that are falling apart are connected with things that are creating the most pollution on earth. That old Butter Commercial saying "You can't fool Mother Nature" keeps popping into my head these days. If any planet reminds me of that saying it would probably be Pluto. Pluto is so deeply connected with the deep underworkings of nature. Capricorn doesn't hurt, of course, being an Earth Sign, and also having the difficult pictogram of a Goat who tries to climb to the very peak of earth's mountains but is stuck with a fish's tail which hooks him into the deepest parts of the waters. That's the Capricorn guilt thing. The higher you go the farther you have to fall unless you give everything away. Other people aren't concerned with these problems, they don't get caught, but the Capricorns get busted if they don't follow the script.

So, there are so many infrastructure collapses lately this is just really dazzling. I keep saying that we really need to advance into the Jetson's age. Just leave the infrastructure behind and let everyone levitate. Of course, I have no idea how we're going to do that, but might as well dream. Right? The asphalt, the railroads, the exhaust engines. Good bye. Wouldn't it be nice?

Funny how with Pluto conjunct NN in Capricorn all the spillage and sewage is just fighting back at us. We've lost control of how we handle our toxics and wastes. Once Saturn and Jupiter move on there will just be this long Uranus-Pluto square passing back and forth. I doubt that's good for the arts but it sure will provide incentive for innovation and design. And Jupiter and Saturn will be doing a Grand Triny thing so there will be some sort of social awareness of sorts. As I'm not a real advocate for mass mentality and peer pressure situations I don't know how that will turn out. Sort of sterile innovation and design but some people like that. And it might actually be clean if we keep the Virgos employed by the droves to do a perfect job (so the Virgos brag, at least)

The International Space Station is having some emergency problems. Where's Will Robinson's robot right about now? One of their air conditioning units blew a fuse late SAturday. Love how these news reports don't mention the actual date so you have to fumble back and forth with a calendar and sort of guess. I suppose NASA will eventually have an actual time for the circuit breaker trip (so Mars-Saturn-Uranus). Anyway, remember the connections between Space stuff and Pluto-Nodes. Learning Curve on the Ecliptic wrote a great piece about the Challenger Disaster. And that one Astronaut early on saw aliens on one space flight. They'll be ok but they're having a stressful week. There are articles on the Internet discussing how the Space Shuttle blast offs and air conditioning are major polluters of the ozone.

Pisces was Rising and the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Aries was in the first house. Suppose that conjunction and the Pisces Rising could indicate Rubber. This was opposing the Mars-Saturn conjunction in H7 and squaring Pluto-NN up in the 10th. So the big t-square was on the angles. Chart ruler Neptune was in the 12th House and was stand out as a singleton in Air. But the big singleton was the Sun 29 Cancer in H5. The Sun was unaspected by major aspect to other planets in both house placement (succedent) and element (Water). It was in a Grand Trine with the Moon 3 Sagittarius and the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction.

In Iowa much greater damage was done at Lake Delhi. This was caused by 10" of rain and a breaching of the dam walls. Kind of interesting that the chart shows an absence of planets in Water signs. The Dam was built 1922-29 so it was going through a Uranus Return.

This chart is sort of an upside down version of the Tempe Arizona Chart with Virgo Rising and with the Mars-Saturn conjunction on the Ascendant. Jupiter-Uranus is in the 7th and is squaring Pluto-NN and even Moon in Capricorn down in the 4th House (Moon is widely past conjunction with Pluto but I'm not sure if this is the actual time of the break).

Interesting that there was a witness who saw this whole thing from 150 feet away. His name is Fred DeShane (52 years old?).



So here we go. China said that it had contained its oil spill by July 26 but China is a Libra and paints a rosy picture so now we've got some new bulletins saying that they're having problems too. So, the U.S. and China are both Cardinal Sun Signs and now we get to see what happens to Cardinal Sun Signs during a Pluto transit (no one's going to kiss these ough-ie's).

The Pluto-NN conjunction is right on the Ascendant.

The Sun is one degree away from the spot where the Moon was (23 Cancer) during the Deepwater Horizon Spill.

Don't know if this is significant but this points to the two Solar Eclipses for this year. The Jan. 15 Solar Eclipse (Annular) had a conjunction of Sun-Moon at 26 Cancer. The July 11 Solar Eclipse (Total) had a Sun-Moon Eclipse at 20 Cancer.

Mercury for the China Oil Spill (called the Xingang Port Oil Spill) is also conjunct within a few degrees the spot where Mars was in Leo during the Deepwater Horizon (Gulf) Oil Spill.

I can't get the image of the employees covered in tar out of my head. It's heroic but I wish it hadn't happened.

Of course, the Saturn-Uranus/Jupiter-Pluto t-square is going to be involved here. This shows breakdowns in infrastructure. Uranus 1 Aries is conjunct Jupiter 4 Aries. Interesting how it doesn't seem to matter that their exit from Pisces, which rules Oil and Oceans, doesn't seem to make much difference.

Perhaps a big part of these Oil Spills is the Pluto-NN conjunction in Capricorn (peak of civilization, beginnings of the Fall, structures). In the Xingang Port Oil Spill Pluto is conjunct the NN and they are hovering right over the Ascendant. Pluto rules both of the recent Solar Return Charts that I mentioned.

Also, Pisces, sign which rules Oil and Gas is enclosed in Houses 2 and 8 in this chart. Neptune is still in Aquarius (manmade inventions) but it is in conjunction with Chiron (things man can not help) on the first degree of Pisces. Lilith is also there. Don't know how to interpret that other than to say that Lilith is always "there." Kind of interesting to note Venus's connection in both Deepwater Horizon Chart and Xingang Port Oil Spill chart. Venus is squaring Lilith-Neptune-Chiron in the Gulf Oil Spill. And she's opposing that same combination in the Chinese Chart.

The Moon in this chart is conjunct Saturn the chart ruler and Mars. They are in the 8th House. Saturn is on the same degree spot (30 Virgo) in both charts, but he's Rx in the first chart.

6.2 Earthquake in Southern Mexico

Earthquake in Southern Mexico early in the morning today. 6.2 is pretty big. I read is that one person was killed. There seems to be little damage.

The earthquake was totally Cardinal-Sign-y. All the angles ruled by Cardinal Signs. There are no planets in angular houses, however.

The conjunction of Sun-Mercury at 9-11 Cancer is conjunct the South Node and is widely in Grand Square aspect with the big outer planet t-square. This whole aspect had just passed over the angles within the last hour.

Sun-Mercury-SN in H3, Moon in H11.

That t-square involves Jupiter-Uranus in Aries opposing Saturn 29 Virgo and squaring Pluto 4 Capricorn. Pluto is within orb of conjunction with the North Node at 13 Capricorn.

The Moon is conjunct Neptune in Aquarius, sign of earthquakes.

World's First Synthetic Cell

The Genome guy, J.Craig Venter has succeeded now in creating the world's first manmade DNA (or, at least that's how I'm trying to understand it). What a great announcement for Science to make while there is a conjunction of Jupiter to Uranus in Pisces. This will hopefully lead to new forms of fuel, ways to clean polluted water, and even faster vaccines.

There's mention in the article that there is concern over how this new Frankenstein creation could be used for destructive purposes. The astrology shows that there is a need to feel concern over this. The Jupiter-Uranus conjunction is squaring Pluto and opposing Saturn. The Government (Saturn) is concerned about how much regulation is needed to keep this knowledge out of the hands of idiots. With Saturn and Pluto squaring each other this might be a legitimate concern.

When Saturn and Pluto work together they can show the kind of ruthless energy that is needed to fight pollution. But they can show plain old ruthlessness and a genuine need for strong guidance in the ethics department. Come to think of it I think that Venter has a Saturn-Pluto square in his natal chart.

Kind of a tough day for thinking about ethical issues. The announcement was made on the same day that Wall St. made its biggest crash of the year and a Paris Art Museum suffered one one of the biggest art heists of all time. The Moon was in conjunction with Mars (volatility) and opposing Neptune. And Venus was opposing Pluto (more volatility).

The Aries Point action is unbelievably interesting for bringing news out into the world about giving birth from out of nothing. Venus was at 1 Cancer yesterday. Think of the great Botticelli painting of Venus born out of nothing but foam. This was squaring Uranus 30 Pisces. That's the actual birth degree of the Astrological Wheel. Uranus rules human enlightenment and innovation.

Hmmm, I bet Venter would be a really great psychic if he weren't busy with all the rest of this stuff.

Jupiter Loses a "Cloud Stripe"

A recent set of photos taken of Jupiter show that the Jolly Old Guy has lost a Cloud Stripe. How appropriate is that? considering that Jupiter is in the sign of Clouds, or of Cloudy thinking at any rate. Jupiter is also in strong aspect with the t-square of Saturn-Uranus and Pluto. These are the 3 signs that create trauma and loss when they are working together. Jupiter's really stressing right now. He's also been traveling really fast.

I think that whatever scientists learn about Jupiter right now will be very useful in learning to predict major earth events like earthquakes and volcanoes.

Bjork Sings to the Earth And ...

Those triple Scorpios are manifesters, that's for sure. Plutonian Icelandic Singer Bjork sang to the sick earth and now the mountains are screaming from underneath the glaciers. And, except for the Icelanders who have been evacuated, this could be a good thing if it doesn't go for too long. I read a while back that we were needing a volcano to erupt because a little ash in the ionosphere could stave off Global Warming for a while. (Don't know if that's true, and things could cool things down too much if the volcano erupts for too long).

On the Spring Solstice (March 20) a volcano in the southern part of Iceland erupted. Yesterday it erupted again in what is said to be 10-20 times more powerful reaction. That was the Aries New Moon!

Ash is spilling out into the skies and air transport is called off due to low visibility. People have been evacuated. This is expected to continue for a couple more months. If the lava melts some of the neighboring glaciers another volcano may erupt and this could send the earth into a deep freeze.

Wow, this is definitely triple Scorpio stuff. Whatever's been bottled up will eventually spew out. Pluto is conjunct Bjork's natal Mars. And she was born during the Uranus-Pluto conjunction and opposition to Saturn of 1965. This opposition is layered over her natal IC/MC Axis! It mirrors the current t-square between these 3 Outer Planets right now. (IC represents 4th house and environment and geology). Her chart at Astrotheme. The first eruption happened right on the Spring Solstice. I wrote a little bit about it here and unfortunately didn't add the exact time and location:

Iceland has caught the brunt of the geological tension today as one of its Volcanoes erupted. The news reports said that around 500 people were evacuated. The volcano is in the Southern part of Iceland about 100 miles from Reykjavik.

This conjunction is in the big t-square formation with Saturn 1 Libra and Pluto 6 Capricorn. It is also trining Mars 1 Leo to the the degree.

Neptune-Chiron are conjunct the IC in Aquarius.

The last time this volcano erupted was from December 1821 to January 1823. At that point, Uranus and Neptune were in conjunction at the beginning of Capricorn where Pluto is right now. Pluto was at 28 Pisces very close to the Aries Point.

So it looks like Iceland is affected by early Cardinal Sign outer planet activity. I guess that Bjork was the Lava that came out during the Uranus-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn back in the early 90s.

Well, the Scientists were saying that a volcano could buy us some time with keeping Global Warming at bay.

Healthcare Bill and Sibley Chart

Probably this is all over the Internet, I just couldn't find the information.

The Chart for the United States which was figured by Sibley, the one with the Sagittarius Rising, has 1 Libra Midheaven.

I wonder if Obama really will manage to get the Healthcare Bill smooshed through Congress tomorrow. Have no idea if this is the correct chart, of course.

This means that Saturn is currently conjunct the Midheaven. That's the natural ruler for the President, Government, Civilization. Jupiter and Saturn are said to rule the two major political parties but I can't remember which is which. Bills is on the floor of the passenger seat, I'll get it later.

Saturn is involved in this t-square which shows a major challenge. Currently Saturn is opposing the Sun which is conjunct the IC of the chart (public). Uranus is also opposing from Pisces (charity, etc.) and the 3d House. Uranus rules the future and hopes and wishes. It probably rules Unity. Pluto is squaring from the first house. This is going to show self-reliance, and also perhaps selfishness, though.
