9 Seconds on the Clock

Go Niners!

The Bay Area Football Team, the 49ers, managed to save their game yesterday against the Saints, 9 seconds before the end of the game. Player Alex Smith threw to Vernon Davis. I think the Saints play for New Orleans. You can tell how much I know about football. The astrology is amazing in some respects so I'm just going to list a couple of coincidental patterns I see and hopefully there will be a sports astrologer out there who will look at the charts.

The cash register guy at the Starbucks told me all about it. He said that this type of event has only happened 4 times before. I was able to google 2 previous events when a similar game occurred, and they all involved the 49ers. I should go back and ask the guy what that all means before publishing, but you know me, I'm a little scary with the publish button.

Amazing how all 3 events have a lot of tension between planets in Libra to Aries. A little Venus to Mars rulership action sure does bring up the Relationship Axis on the Astrological Wheel. Aries represents the throwing and Libra represents the Catching and the Axis keeps them both in strong relationship.

Aries points seem to be consistently involved in the charts. I don't have times for the events because I don't watch football but I seem to remember people screaming their heads off at around 4:30-5:00 yesterday afternoon so that is the time that I am using for the charts. So, take it for granted that the times I'm using for the charts are wrong, and also the places and the players.

One thing I noticed that this seems to happen when some of the outer planets seem to have just changed signs.

Sun in Capricorn squares Saturn in Libra in two of the charts. Saturn rules delays so this could account for the end of the game surprise. The other chart has Sun in Libra squaring Neptune in Capricorn (c. Uranus in Aquarius). The fact that this happens during Saturn in Libra Returns is interesting. Libra makes it easier to relate to others, though, so it makes sense that there would be some pretty amazing passes during these transits.

This seems to be connected with Uranus entering a new sign. Check out the early degree placements in the charts. Uranus rules surprises, teamwork, and crowds, and generation of hope for the future. Uranus changed signs between Aquarius and Pisces at end of 2003/beginning of 2004 but don't see a football event like this. Maybe Pisces just isn't into Football which would be why I've known so many of them in my life.

Earth Water Air Adrenaline

Matthias Giraud and his friend films a death defying ski run down a hill while filming with his helmet. Video has gone viral.

http://www.grindtv.com/snow/blog/26377/skiers+amazing+avalanche+cliff+jump+becomes+internet+sensation/

Giraud's birth date is listed on his website. I wanted to check the chart for a person who never feels vertigo:

Matthias Giraud
b. Sept. 24, 1983 Is he from France?

Sun 1 Libra; Moon Aries or Taurus; NN 20 Gemini

The title of this post is from one of the videos on Giraud's website: matthiasgiraud.com. Giraud lists the elements and replaces "fire" for "adrenaline." You look at his chart and you know why. He's possibly got a Fire Grand Trine in his chart which branches out into a Kite Shape with apex Saturn-Pltuo. (I don't know because it all depends on the placement of the Moon in Giraud's chart and I don't have a birth time or place.)

Watch the video and you'll see things from a Kite's perspective, that's for sure.

At noontime the Moon is placed at around 26 Aries. It is trining an conjunction of Venus-Mars at 25-27 Leo on one side and Jupiter-Uranus both at 6 Sagittarius on the other side. It would also be opposing a conjunction of Saturn 3 Virgo/Pluto 29 Libra. I think that's the Vertigo element since Alfred Hitchcock had a strong Saturn-Pluto aspect in his chart.

Oh, and for Chart Shape enthusiasts -- I think it's a whole lot of fun that Giraud's got a "Sling Shaped chart." All the planets are held within the Venus-Mars trine to Jupiter-Uranus except for the Moon which is hanging out by itself either in Aries or Taurus.

WHOOOO HOOO!

Planetary Cycles and the San Bruno Gasline Explosion

It's not a surprise that last year's stressful outer planet t-square made between Saturn-Uranus and Pluto could have brought some break-downs in anything having to do with infrastructure. It did bring a lot of fixes as Obama channeled stimulus funds into that area. Roads, plumbing, telecom got fixed. Cyber security was probably studied, but Wikileaks showed where some of the vulnerabilities were.

Article in today's San Francisco Chronicle, Feb. 6, 2011. Article discusses the findings for why the underground gas lines blew up in San Bruno, CA on Sept. 9. It'll be somewhere on the sfgate.com website. I went over there and got distracted.

"PG&E spiked 'highest risk' line: pressure increased on East Bay pipe despite 'high likelihood' of failure." by Eric Nalder and Jaxon an Derbeken.

Inspectors have honed down two most likely reasons for the explosion: Vulnerable welds in the pipes and pressure spikes in the gaslines. They've known all along that the pipes which were installed by a company called A.O. Smith way back when had big problems with this.

The astrology is totally amazing. There was also a huge t-square aspect between Saturn-Uranus and Pluto back in 1930 in Cardinal Signs. Jupiter was also hanging out in the aspect as well. I continually observe about how a natal chart is more vulnerable to transits when the transits mirror the natal aspects. Here we have a great example of that. Everyone knows that an 80 year old pipeline is old and might explode, especially in California where things were built very quickly to accommodate rapid growth.

Making this transit even more vulnerable, connecting the years 1930 with 2010 is the fact that this is a Uranus Return for the pipes. Uranus in Pisces, to be exact. And Pisces rules oil and gas.

PGE intentionally increased pressure (Mars?) on its line on June 19, 2009 on the Fremont-Livermore line 107. I don't know why that has any effect on the lines which run through San Bruno which is on the other side of the Bay from there and is sort of at the mouth of where Lines 109 and 132 split off and run up in to San Francisco. There's some weird talk about how there's a gold course in Pinol that should have been blown off the map with the power surge. I can totally understand how anything associated with Neptune would avoid the golfers, but I have a really bizarre sense of humor.

Line 132 is the one that exploded. But this "long festering issue" on line 107 out in the golf course is to blame, though. The article shows a map. You can see how far apart these are. I guess a fireball started underneath the golf course in Pinol and blasted down through Fremont and towards Milpitas (this is an area which reeks of Asian food pools under the freeway because they built into the Wetlands and the plumbing doesn't drain). Then after the fireball hit Milpitas it switched over to Sunnyvale which also doesn't drain, and then over to Mountain View, which also doesn't drain, and then up through Los Altos and Palo Alto and what's above Palo Alto? They've been working on the plumbing in parts of Palo and Redwood City, so they might occassionally drain. These lines run up along the freeway 280 so they pretty much miss where people live. Wow, that's a bizarre explanation these scientists and engineers have dreamed up. I'm just an Astrology Buff so I can believe pretty much anything, but this Science is really a big mystery. I mean, I get it how some golfer ate too many burritos for lunch thus launching the fireball from the country club bathroom, plus those golfers wear really ugly clothes, not good for Neptune sensibilities at all, but ... well, guess you had to be there. It's Science.

Ken Bradshaw Surfs the World's Biggest Wave

Vanity Fair has written a very interesting article about the day that a surfer road the world's largest wave. The wave was somewhere near 85 or 90 feet high and riding it was like jumping out something like a 10-story window.

http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/features/2011/02/big-wave-surfer-201102

The surfer was Ken Bradshaw. The wave he rode was in Hawaii during the 1989 El Nino. Seriously, Dude, what's your sign?

Ken Bradshaw

b. Oct. 4, 1952
Sun 12 Libra; Moon Aries or Taurus; NN 19 Aquarius (source: Wikipedia)

When I saw the Oct. 1952 date I was curious to know if Bradshaw has a Sun-Neptune conjunction. Neptune rules the Ocean, and that would just be too pat. Turns out his chart is even better than that. Bradshaw has both planets in the same sign, Libra, but his Sun is actually in conjunction with Saturn in Libra. He has a stellium of four planets total in Libra: Sun 12 Libra (Vitality & Will); Saturn 18 Libra (control); Mercury 20 Libra (thinking); Neptune 22 Libra (Ocean). Saturn rules Boundaries and Neptune rules letting go of boundaries so, when combined, they often create some really interesting circumstances. Bradshaw's Sun stellium is trining his NN 19 Aquarius. And it is squaring his Uranus 19 Cancer.

The Uranian element seems as important here as the Water element. The article instructs us to think of waves not as water that is rolling but as "pulses of energy." The article explains some of the science involved in understanding how the waves will form. More speed, bigger size. Bradshaw's Uranian North Node is in conjunction with a stellium of planets in Aquarius on the day that he caught his big wave. These are trining his natal Libra stellium. Both charts have a Mercury-Neptune conjunction.

"Condition Black" Bradshaw rides biggest wave

Jan. 28, 1998 I used 11:30 am as time, actual ride probably occurred later. Bradshaw was out in the ocean between 10:30 am and 4:30 am that day. (source: V.F. article)

Sun 9 Aquarius; Moon 18 Aquarius; ASC (11:30 am) 29 Aries; MC 21 Capricorn; NN 13 Virgo

This was a New Moon with Sun conjunct Uranus to the degree.

(Amazingly, we just completed the New Moon in Aquarius which was in exact conjunction with Mars. Again, the world has again experienced Extreme Weather as the U.S. was caught in a record breaking Blizzard and Northern Australia has suffered a Category 5 cyclone, the worst possible kind with 186 mph winds. The Eclipses have a strong influence on the current problems. (The political upheaval that is occurring is explained very well by Mary Plumb over on the Mountain Astrologer blog.)

With anything this extreme we want to look at the planet which rules Daredevils. That's Mars. Impulse, Spark, Action, excitement.

Bradshaw is part of an elite set of surfers who rides large waves and he was scheduled to participate in a contest at North Shore on Oahu but, due to the extreme conditions of the waves, the contest was called off. Bradshaw went off to his favorite spot, "Outside Log Cabins," to surf with his friend who towed him out.

In the event chart, Mars is a singleton in Water in the event chart at 3 Pisces. Mars is also a singleton in Bradshaw's natal chart, as well as being in conjunction with the Galactic Center 25 Sagittarius. In the event chart, Mars rules the chart until just a little past 11:30 am. It is conjunct Jupiter (rules anything big) and squaring Pluto 8 Sagittarius (rules anything extreme, also rules Jupiter). Bradshaw's natal Mars is at 25 Sagittarius and is a singleton in mutable signs. It's also conjunct the Galactic Center and is trining Pluto 23 Leo and possibly in a Grand Fire Trine with the Moon. That shows that he has great strength and is willful and emotional, perhaps a loner, and is protected within these characteristics. The article explains how a friend of his was killed by a wave while they were out surfing.

Bradshaw's Moon can't be figured out without a birth time but it sure would be interesting to know. It is the lead planet of a locomotive chart. In a 12:00 pm natal chart it would be both moving fast and out of bounds. That would in very literal termes explain a dare devil surfer who can ride waves at very fast speeds.

Barack Obama's Busted Lower Lip

On Thanksgiving Day Barack Obama decided to shoot a few hoops with his friends. A little leisurely diversion from the turmoil of leading the World. Things turned out badly for the President as someone, name not disclosed, bashed the President in the face. The gash in the Presidents' lip required 12 stitches.

Yesterday, the President didn't show up to inspect the White House tree when it arrived. The Newscasters made a point out of saying that only the girls, Michelle Malia and Sasha, were going to do that this year. The President obviously looks so much like Mickey Rourke right now he would even scare a Christmas tree.

So,I wanted to quickly look at the President's chart. For accidents one looks at Mars and Uranus. For physical problems one looks at H1 and H6. For clutsiness one looks at Jupiter. I suppose a couple of inconjuncts and sesquisquares wouldn't hurt. Something that shows that things aren't lining up quite right.

Obama's chart is natally ruled by Uranus and he has natal Mars in Virgo so he might catch a wayward fist from time to time as it is. This might be his own personal way of knowing when he needs to withdraw and take a little R&R. Go Getters need that extra help.

On Thanksgiving Day, Mars and Mercury were in conjunction in the sign of Sagittarius. I don't know what kinds of things occurred in the Sports World overall on that day, but they were probably a little more goofy than usual. Mercury and Mars working together rule the motor skills and, as I said, Jupiter can sometimes misjudge spacial perceptions, through use of good will, thinking that one can make that shot, misjudging that fist that just happens to show up from out of god damned nowhere. Mars-Mercury were squaring Jupiter-Uranus in Pisces too. That just makes things a little more extreme. Actually, way more extreme.

This all opposes and and squares Obama's natal Mars. Mars rules the head. I think that the lips are co-ruled by Mars and Venus.

So, Obama, plays basketball all the time. Mercury and Mars are in conjunction quite often. Why did this have to happen to him this year?

Obama's progressed Chart is backing things up. His progressed Mars and Mercury are within 2 degrees conjunction of his progressed Descendant right now. 23-25 Libra. Mars rules his progressed Ascendant which is currently at 24 Aries. So, natal Ascendant ruled by Uranus. Progressed Ascendant ruled by Mars. Thank God this guy doesn't have as much time to exercise as he used to, who knows what he would have done to himself by now.

His Progressed Sun has just moved into Libra (1 Libra) and is in an exact opposition to his Progressed Moon 1 Aries. That's a progressed Full Moon. Wow. Even mellow Hawaii born Obama probably felt like howling a bit over this aspect.

One remembers of course that transiting Pluto is conjunct the North Node to the degree right now. This is just a couple of degrees away from a square to his progressed Sun and Moon and pulls in his natal Venus in Cancer. There's the necessary Venus rulership of lower lip fiascos.

Boy Hackers and Girl Sailors - The Amazing Uranus-Neptune Conjunction Generation

As Pluto is entering Capricorn and moving up to the spot where the big Capricorn conjunction of 1989-1993 was it's interesting to see what the kids who were born around that time are up to. They had to do something spectacular early on in life. Capricorn is born old so it makes sense that these kids would have a head start. Saturn, Uranus and Capricorn all rule the signs and section of the chart that is most aware of how society works on a large scale. On the heels of that conjunction, Pluto might back track a bit into Scorpio vibes, but Pluto rules Fame.

I found out about the first kids because the company who runs my virus program sent me an email saying that there is a new worm or virus or thingee whatever it is running around that nobody can do much about. My program tells me how many attacks I get per day/week/and month and the numbers have escalated since I filed my taxes online. So, gray hair girl here is gonna wrinkle pretty bad over this. I believe this thing is called a "Trojan." It's called a P2P worm, or thingee, I certainly don't know the difference, but right now I'm not feeling like I don't have Odysseus on my side. P2P means peer-to-peer. That's so Uranus-Neptuney.

At any rate, one of the people who made the original P2P worm, virus, trojan thingee was a kid. He was 19 when he was caught (Pisces Node Return, self-undoing). Obviously a genius. When the Feds caught him they only gave him 5 years' probation because they needed to hire him to work for them. The thing he created was the Nugache worm. I think what I'm worried about now is the Heloag Trojan but can't be real certain about that.

While studying this kid I found another kid over in New Zealand who did the same thing. He was caught and was also hired. Interesting that both boys were born in 1989 right as the Uranus-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn along with Saturn. They were born in early stages of the conjunction.

Both boys are said to have Asperger's Syndrome and so have very introverted personalities. They had to leave school early because they couldn't fit in. And they sat at home on the computer teaching themselves programming. Meanwhile they became a huge presence anywhere they wanted to in the world.

Jason Milmont (Nugache Worm) was working out of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Owen Walker, hacker, was working out of New Zealand. Jason Milmont's birthday is maybe Mar. 8, 1989.

In 1989, Saturn and Pluto were both very strongly placed in their own signs. When these two work together there can be a tendency to apply too much force in some way. That's great when they are working on the right side of the law.

On the other end of the Spectrum (no pun intended) there's another set of Uranus-Neptune conjunction kids. Adventurers who are taking the physical world on. And fun thing is they are female!

These are two 16 year old girls. This brings new meaning to that old Sweet 16 and Never been Kissed Motto. Both girls have been attempting to sail Solo and Nonstop around the world. One is from the U.S. and one is from Australia.

Abby Sunderland of Thousand Oaks, CA has had mechanical problems with the autopilot on her boat and is being forced to stop so she won't break the record. But, it looks like Jessica Watson of Australia really will complete her goal. There's a 14 year old girl in Europe who plans to set out next year to try to break Watson's record.

Both Sunderland and Watson were born in 1993 while Uranus and Neptune were in very tight conjunction at 20 Capricorn and 22-23 Capricorn respectively. They both have Saturn in Aquarius. Pluto is still in Scorpio. Both have Sun in strong contact with Jupiter in Libra. Free and independent thinkers who've got a good dose of luck.

I think the girls have been sailing in opposite directions of each other. Watson is finishing ahead of schedule, having gone towards the East. Sunderland has been struggling. She even managed to be out on the ocean during the tsunami warning from the Chile earthquake. And as I said, she has to stop to get some equipment fixed.

Athlete of the Decade

The Associated Press has suddenly decided to declare an Athlete of the Decade now that we're closing in on ending the first 10 years of the 21st millenium. It's sort of amusing to see how after all the year 2000 lists we are ending this decade with almost no lists, no greatest of all time lists. At any rate, the Athlete of the Decade has been declared Tiger Woods who as everyone knows, is a golfer. I was fascinated to read the list of all the finalists which included Lance Armstrong (cycling), Roger Federer (tennis) and Michael Phelps (swimming). I believe there was a football player in there. But all the biggest names were, well, they were all men, of course, and they were also single players. I don't know if this is a sign of the times or if team players have their own lists. I'd certainly think that there is a huge difference between team players and single competitors. It will be interesting to see if other lists come out.

I looked back to see if AP put out a list for 1990-1999 and didn't find one. Some other Sports group listed Barry Bonds as Player of the Decade. That's just really funny at this point.

It's just amazing to see how much incredible sports was played. Of course, I wasn't watching much of it.

To get a little astrobabble in here I just noticed how prominent Virgo is. Lance Armstrong has Sun and Moon in Virgo. Tiger Woods and Roger Federer have have Virgo Rising. Maybe this only applies to sports which are played on land. Michael Phelps doesn't seem to have this prominence unless he's got a Virgo Rising (I don't have his time). He's a Water Sign in a Water Sport.
