Suspect Apprehended in Sierra Lamar case

Sierra Lamar has been missing from Morgan Hill, California since March 16, 2012.  She still hasn't yet been found but a 21-year old man has been arrested for her murder.  This puts pressure on the police and community to try to hurry up and find her.  The experts believe that she has been murdered but the police aren't giving out all of their evidence.  It's easier to win a murder trial if you have a body.

Sierra's DNA was found inside Garcia-Torres' red car and Garcia-Torres' DNA was found on her clothes which were folded in her bag.  The bag was found about 2 blocks from her home (big blocks) in Northern Morgan Hill.  Garcia-Torres lives in Southern Morgan Hill in an RV park with his child and wife who is pregnant with their second child.  Both people live very close to opposite ends of a major street in Morgan Hill called Monterey Road.

Garcia-Torres has some difficult elements in his chart but the only thing that screams out to me "Murderer" is his out of bounds Mars at Declination 25 degrees 22'.  Planet of War, Mars, is at 29 Gemini in his chart.  This is on an Aries Point.  The Cancer AP is considered an emotionally volatile placement for Mars. Mars in Gemini is pretty mercurial and is doubly so in this chart because it is in mutual reception with natal Mercury in Aries.

Garcia-Torres has a possible Grand Square in his chart if you include the Nodal Axis and Chiron and if Moon is within orb of opposition to his Sun (can't be determined without time or place of birth).  Grand Squares can show a lot of tension as the individual receives hits to major squares by planets a lot more than other people.  More shit can happen to these people than to other people so they really have to learn how to roll with the punches.  Even without the Grand Square or Full Moon, Garcia-Torres will have a square between Sun in Aries and Uranus 14 Cap-Neptune 17 Capricorn.

Uranus-Neptune conjunctions can show a subset of people within a generation who are very evolved in social understanding.  In the sign of Capricorn this can show a group of people who want to run things and have a strong sense of class distinction but who want to work on a large group level.  They love gang stalking.  They will all fight for those less fortunate but may expect to take shortcuts in order to climb socially.  

Garcia-Torres has natal Sun, possibly Moon, squaring that conjunction.  Squares are considered difficult elements which will somehow challenge (square) the generational, group energy of the Neptune-Uranus conjunction.  This guy is probably extremely quick on a psychic level but his abilities don't easily flow within the overall scheme of things.  An Aries Sun with Libra Moon is going to be a very charming person as it is.  

Right now Garcia-Torres' progressed Sun has just changed signs from Aries to Taurus.  From the Ram to the Bull.  This means that the way that Torres will express his ego is undergoing a change.  The impulsiveness Aries could become Hard headed or more practical and easygoing depending on how Garcia-Torres is able to express it.  Taurus covets material possessions.  Women are often considered possessions.

Garcia-Torres has been considered the good son in his family.  His older brother was alcoholic and had just died 5 months before Sierra Lamar went missing. His Father is in jail on suspicion of having sex with an underage relative.

Also connected with Garcia-Torres is a set of unsuccessful abductions from a Safeway parking lot in Morgan Hill that lasted for 7 days back in 2009.  3 different times women were attacked while in their car or while walking up to it.  A hooded man held a knife to one woman's throat and I think used a taser gun on another.  The comparisons between these charts and the chart that is set for the day that Sierra Lamar went missing is really incredible.

First one can see that perhaps, if he committed any of these crimes, this Man is affected during/around the time of his Solar Return.  That would set off the square to Uranus-Neptune in Capricorn and maybe also his natal Moon in Libra and Capricorn/Cancer Nodal Axis.  He may also have an extra bad reaction to all the pesticides which are sprayed in the area.  Morgan Hill is agricultural.

The first attack date in 2009 had a Moon-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn same as Sierra Lamar's abduction date.  Pluto in Capricorn would also have set off the Uranus-Neptune conjunction in Garcia-Torres' natal chart as well as his Solar Return.  This brings in compulsions and dealings with power and ego.

Sierra Lamar is a Libra Sun with Capricorn Moon so her chart is hooked right in here.

Moon-Pluto conjunctions are feminine and can show deep compulsions with relation to women, especially in connection to power and control issues and deep emotional compulsions. I wrote in the past post, and that post was really obnoxious, so sorry, about how Pluto is connected with abductions and the underworld. It's connected with rape and murder and any behavior that is taboo. Moon represents Mother and Home and food. 

There is also a Sun-Mercury-Uranus conjunction in all these attack charts, or at least stellium, which is set over the Pisces-Aries cusp. This shows a wired nervous system and flashpoint thinking.  The Sheriff says that Sierra Lamar's abduction appears to have been a random act by total strangers.  That explains Uranus.Mercury represents cars and what's going on in the neighborhood.  In my previous post I discussed how this stellium was passing over the Ascendant at 7:10 am which is the last time Sierra posted a text message.

Transiting Mars is also hanging out over close degrees on the Virgo-Pisces pole in all the charts.  On Mar. 16, 2012, date Sierra went missing Mars was at 9 Virgo.  Between Mar. 19, 2009 and Mars 26, 2009 when the women were attacked in the Safeway parking lot Mars was opposing this placement between 5 and 10 degrees of Pisces.  Garcia-Torres worked at the Safeway store.  He was never tried or convicted of the attacks, was just a suspect. 

Garcia-Torres was having a Venus Return around the time of Sierra's disappearance.  Natal Venus at 15 Taurus.  Transiting Venus 13 Taurus.  Venus was passing over natal Sun during the 2009 Safeway attacks.

It would be interesting to study the Chiron-SN conjunction in Cancer in Garcia-Torres' chart.  He has such a complicated childhood-homelife. This opposes the Capricorn NN and Uranus-Neptune which just wants to rise above everything.  (That may be squaring an Aries/Libra Full Moon).

If I'm reading the article linked to above correctly the only time Garcia-Torres has gone to jail came two months after the parking lot attacks. The police came to his house and wanted to search it for a suspected criminal.  Garcia-Torres over reacted and refused to let them in and became verbally abusive, maybe physically abusive.  He was probably in the middle of the investigations over the attacks in the parking lots (was not arrested).

The Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Aquarius was a big deal in this man's chart.  He's got Saturn 6 Aquarius opposing Jupiter Leo.  We're looking for late degrees. Natal Pluto at 21 Scorpio. Still too early.  Solar Arc Saturn 26 Aquarius, Bingo

On This day Chiron was in exact conjunction with the 2 planets at 27 Aquarius.  Chiron and Neptune were both stationing Retrograde and were opposing Moon in Leo.  There's that Chiron-Moon aspect in which one takes the blame for others.  At the time of the arrest the opposition was hitting the IC-MC angle with Moon (Home) at the top of the chart.  I think that all clocks should have a built in dinger to let people know when Scorpio is Rising and when the Moon and Mars are at difficult placements.  I bet half the crime in the world could be cut if people would pledge to wave white flags during those hours and dates, maybe even pledge to sit down and drink some tea with each other.

Circadian Rhythms Indicate Children's Emotional Development?

Some researchers of Circadian Rhythms claim that babies who follow a regular schedule when they are one month old will have less anxiety when they are 10 years old.

The researchers say that this could be related to Circadian Rhythms that develop in the body, maybe from genetics or from hormonal settings from this age (and probably other reasons that I don't understand).

I wonder if some of this could be explained by planetary progressions in some way. A baby will have his first Lunar Return at roughly 29 days. I sort of assume that this is a significant time in his development for all things related to emotional self reliance. The researchers had the parents record daily schedules from the first month and then followed the childrens' emotional development up to Age 13. Age 13, conveniently, is roughly a child's first secondary progressed Lunar Opposition. Age 10 is just after the child's first Lunar Node Opposition. Oppositions in Cyclic Returns are naturally going to be times of greatest tension. Anything related to the Moon is going to show emotional tension.

Also interesting is to note the babies who were followed in the study were born in 1990 and 1991 which was when the big conjunction of Saturn-Uranus and Neptune occurred in Capricorn. This is the sign which opposes Cancer, the sign which rules the Moon. Capricorn is also the sign which rules anything having to do with time and timing and rhythm. And, being an Earth Sign, it really does need to have a set schedule. Perhaps if the researchers were to test the kids born with Pluto in Sagittarius and the Uranus-Neptune mutual reception they would find kids who naturally prefer chaotic and unpredictable schedules. In the quote that follows one can see how the balancing act between Saturn self control and management and Lunar emotional reactions. Also, interesting that these are the two planets that rule parenting.

Greater regularity in daily activities may increase the predictability of an infant’s demands, leading to enhanced parental perception of the baby’s cues and increased parental confidence in meeting the infant’s needs, the researchers say.

More confident and perceptive parenting, in turn, supports the development of an infant’s emotional regulatory capacities. A baby’s ability to self-soothe and self-regulate are important emotional regulatory skills.

“Further, cognitive skills, such as directed-attention, or the ability to concentrate, also are likely involved in emotion regulation,” says Linnea Burk, clinical assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin and a co-author of the study..

“These attention-directed processes may help to adjust emotional arousal and aid children in managing overt behavior when emotions are less well-regulated by other means.

“Children with a well-developed ability to direct attention in a variety of situations likely use less cognitive effort, and therefore may have more cognitive resources available to aid in regulatory processes.”

The study supports the potential importance of the circadian system and its development in the life of the child, and possibly suggests a genetic basis that the researchers will explore in future work.

A Dutch firm called Hass&Hahn has transformed a Brazilian slum, at least visually, in order to uplift the community.

This has got to be a manifestation of the Uranus-Neptune mutual reception where Hopes and Dreams play out on a Global Scale.

In addition, Hass&Hahn developed their idea of transforming poverty through "Favela Painting" back in 2006. That means that the Saturn-Neptune opposition between Leo and Aquarius had something to do with this. That aspect is sometimes thought to bring all those Neptunian Fantasies and Compassion for the Less Fortunate down to earth and workable in real time. Just think of all the people who will actually want to visit this area.

Boy Hackers and Girl Sailors - The Amazing Uranus-Neptune Conjunction Generation

As Pluto is entering Capricorn and moving up to the spot where the big Capricorn conjunction of 1989-1993 was it's interesting to see what the kids who were born around that time are up to. They had to do something spectacular early on in life. Capricorn is born old so it makes sense that these kids would have a head start. Saturn, Uranus and Capricorn all rule the signs and section of the chart that is most aware of how society works on a large scale. On the heels of that conjunction, Pluto might back track a bit into Scorpio vibes, but Pluto rules Fame.

I found out about the first kids because the company who runs my virus program sent me an email saying that there is a new worm or virus or thingee whatever it is running around that nobody can do much about. My program tells me how many attacks I get per day/week/and month and the numbers have escalated since I filed my taxes online. So, gray hair girl here is gonna wrinkle pretty bad over this. I believe this thing is called a "Trojan." It's called a P2P worm, or thingee, I certainly don't know the difference, but right now I'm not feeling like I don't have Odysseus on my side. P2P means peer-to-peer. That's so Uranus-Neptuney.

At any rate, one of the people who made the original P2P worm, virus, trojan thingee was a kid. He was 19 when he was caught (Pisces Node Return, self-undoing). Obviously a genius. When the Feds caught him they only gave him 5 years' probation because they needed to hire him to work for them. The thing he created was the Nugache worm. I think what I'm worried about now is the Heloag Trojan but can't be real certain about that.

While studying this kid I found another kid over in New Zealand who did the same thing. He was caught and was also hired. Interesting that both boys were born in 1989 right as the Uranus-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn along with Saturn. They were born in early stages of the conjunction.

Both boys are said to have Asperger's Syndrome and so have very introverted personalities. They had to leave school early because they couldn't fit in. And they sat at home on the computer teaching themselves programming. Meanwhile they became a huge presence anywhere they wanted to in the world.

Jason Milmont (Nugache Worm) was working out of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Owen Walker, hacker, was working out of New Zealand. Jason Milmont's birthday is maybe Mar. 8, 1989.

In 1989, Saturn and Pluto were both very strongly placed in their own signs. When these two work together there can be a tendency to apply too much force in some way. That's great when they are working on the right side of the law.

On the other end of the Spectrum (no pun intended) there's another set of Uranus-Neptune conjunction kids. Adventurers who are taking the physical world on. And fun thing is they are female!

These are two 16 year old girls. This brings new meaning to that old Sweet 16 and Never been Kissed Motto. Both girls have been attempting to sail Solo and Nonstop around the world. One is from the U.S. and one is from Australia.

Abby Sunderland of Thousand Oaks, CA has had mechanical problems with the autopilot on her boat and is being forced to stop so she won't break the record. But, it looks like Jessica Watson of Australia really will complete her goal. There's a 14 year old girl in Europe who plans to set out next year to try to break Watson's record.

Both Sunderland and Watson were born in 1993 while Uranus and Neptune were in very tight conjunction at 20 Capricorn and 22-23 Capricorn respectively. They both have Saturn in Aquarius. Pluto is still in Scorpio. Both have Sun in strong contact with Jupiter in Libra. Free and independent thinkers who've got a good dose of luck.

I think the girls have been sailing in opposite directions of each other. Watson is finishing ahead of schedule, having gone towards the East. Sunderland has been struggling. She even managed to be out on the ocean during the tsunami warning from the Chile earthquake. And as I said, she has to stop to get some equipment fixed.

Suicides at Cornell

Cornell University in Ithaca, New York has been put on suicide alert as 6 students have committed suicide during the current school year. 3 committed suicide during the Fall, 2009 semester and 3 more have committed suicide since the 2010 Winter/Spring Semester began.

I'll list the names and birth information that I have found for the 3 students who passed most recently. All 3 were white male and all 3 jumped off the bridges that apparently surround the school. From what I can gather Cornell had a high suicide rate in the early 2000's, especially among its Asian students. (some sort of Pluto in Sagittarius transit due to Sagittarius rulership of international affairs?) Between about 2005-2008 there were no suicides.

The 3 young men who are listed below were born while Pluto was in Scorpio and just as Uranus and Neptune were in conjunction in Capricorn. This is going to be more reserved and driven generation. They are probably more vulnerable to not thinking they can live up to all their ambitions. These are slow moving planets that a generation shares.

Pluto/Scorpio is related to all topics that are taboo, such as Sex, Death and Other people's money. This generation won't show its feelings easily only to express it self in a crisis type of manner. The Capricorn planets, Uranus and Neptune, can show a generation that is very aware of what doesn't work in the world. They will either be intolerant of such problems or will go to great lengths to fix the problems. Either way, they might be either more insecure than other generations, or colder in feeling. I heard that a pair of students who observed one of the jumpers made sure that 911 had been called and then left the scene. This is the practical Capricorn mentality. Capricorn is very ambitious and success oriented and has a great fear of failure. These kids need some touchy feely. Oh, yes they do. Yes, those cute little Cornell kids, bite your head off with their big fat brains, Goochy-goochy-goo most certainly do. I doubt they spent much time playing tickle games as kids and just laughing. Oh yeah, they were probably all disciplined with that "Time Out" slogan. That's so Capricorn (rules "time"). Bah. They're not like us Pluto in Virgos who were just fine sitting in front of the Boob Tube for hours. We had Pisces on the other end of our Axis. Time to bring back goofy Cancer comedy gags. Hope I'm wrong. I can see them standing in utter mortification at reading this.

Either way, this is the generation that is probably most advanced culture-wise. They might not have a sense of their own individuality, however.

Either way, they were born during a serious recession and they might have been more vulnerable to the current one, i.e. the Saturn-Uranus-Pluto t-square.

Uranus-Neptune Mutual Reception and Cholera?

In 1831 there was a huge cholera epidemic in England. That led to the discovery that drinking water supplies can breed the bacterium. In 1831 there was a Uranus-Neptune mutual reception in the sky just like there is now. Neptune represents the water element. And Uranus represents the water bearer element. When on good behavior they both represent human society functioning at very high levels. Not only did England have a terrible cholera epidemic but England bred a smart guy who figured out by the 1850s that the water supply was responsible for the cholera epidemic. This led to great advancements in public health and cholera is now thought to be a mainly third world problem.

What's interesting is that the Silicon Valley has some real problems with its tap water at this point. Very often when one holds a white towel over the bathtub faucet, brown greasy water comes out and stains the towel. That's a bacterial hell hole waiting to breed. One must always run around in grease. After a year of bouncing around from laundromat to laundromat in the South Bay I've been driving up to Palo Alto to do my laundry. I figure those guys will always know when their water stinks. But, no. A laundromat in downtown Menlo Park left my clothes smelling like the Pizza restaurant across the street. And there's no word at all on the news. No official is around to tell people to stop tossing grease down the sinks. Growing up my Mother was always screaming to never dump the grease down the sink. She also didn't let us eat much fat. So, I guess, in twenty years time some guy will suddenly discover the cause of the H1N1 -- magically. Uranus and Neptune do so love magic.

So, Uranus-Neptune mutual reception and I suppose politicians and scientists have something new to be baffled by. We're worried about H1N1. Its the aquaducts, baby. They're going to kill us.

The Little Mermaid

As the Icebergs melt this summer at what Scientists say is an alarming rate, the Media is really digging into the bottom of the barrel to seek out fun stories of glitz and glamour to distract us from reality.

The Israelis are claiming that they are being visited by a Mermaid who wiggles her sorry tail up on shore at a beach resort called Kiryat Yam at Sunset and performs tricks for the tourists and then dashes out to sea again. The news story told about previous Mermaid sitings, even LiveScience is posting this one, and when I saw that one of them occurred in Scotland back in 1830 when a little boy is said to have killed a mermaid by throwing rocks at her I sort of got sucked into the story. I sort of remembered that the last Uranus-Neptune mutual reception was back at that time. And since the Scots don't lie (...), and they even made up a story about how she looked like a 3-year old girl and they buried her in a proper funeral, it was starting to sound real.

And so I thought, hey, maybe this is a magical Uranus-Neptune mutual reception thing. I'll believe it if everyone else does. (I also believe that the poles are about to shift because the water from the melting icebergs will knock the weight distribution on earth all paddy wacky. Silly me.)

Well, it turns out that back in 1830 when the evil little brat killed probably what was somebody's little girl, Uranus was in Aquarius but Neptune was in Capricorn. The mutual reception wasn't quite happening yet.

But, when P.T. "A Sucker's Born Every Minute" Barnum sold tickets to his "FeeJee Mermaid" exhibit back in 1842, which was proven to be a hoax ... that was when Uranus was in Pisces and Neptune was in Aquarius.

World's Most Powerful Laser, Groovy Baby.

Yesterday the U.S. dedicated the world's most powerful Laser Beam Maker at the Lawrence Livermore Labs in Livermore, California. Turns out the United States has got some reserve Mojo despite the Recession. As a matter of fact, I think this means we have too much Mojo. If we ever use this thing for Defense purposes all the little boys from Sea to Shining Sea who are unfortunate enough to survive will grow up with 3000 testicles each and a penis the length of the Empire State Building. Shag that.

The Lawrence Livermore Laser, called "National Ignition Facility" or NIF, has the power of 192 normal laser beams and makes a Hydrogen Bomb look more like a mere firecracker, maybe just even sparklers. Thing that's really scary is that it is set to be fully operational in 18 months in 2010. Now I call that a Pluto-Saturn-Uranus t-square on the Aries Points, Baby.

Hey, a New Moon in Aries (Military, Direct Action, Weapons) conjunct Venus Rx in her Detriment and squaring Pluto (Control, Revenge). How's that for a weapon called "National Ignition Facility?" Words like "Ignition" and "Target" really come into focus with strong Aries emphasis. Some of that good old Brassy U.S. Pluck? Don't think the rest of the World might like it but I could be wrong....

Not sure exactly what time the certification happened. So, don't have an exact placement for the Moon, but the Sun is conjunct Venus to the degree. Venus in Aries here is Retrograde and in Detriment by sign (opposite sign that she naturally rules). Venus rules Diplomacy and when Diplomacy fails we pull in the big guns and just take aim.

The Sun-Venus conjunction is further stressed by aspect. It and maybe the Moon is squaring Pluto. This square contains all the planets except for Saturn (Government and anything Authoritarian) which makes a handle to the Bucket Chart Pattern. So, where's angry old Mars since he's so strongly featured in indirect ways in this chart? He's opposing Saturn from Pisces.

Uranus, sign of unexpected Kabooms, is unaspected and ruling the North Node. This is also great for Science and Outer Space Discoveries.

Wish I could find times. These charts would be very telling in understanding how those 192 Laser Beams will be focused in the future.

I don't know what that means with regards to pushing buttons, maybe a little slow and stupid on the trigger, but the news media (Mercury) is being very quiet about this facility. I guess if you're announcing how you're more powerful than anyone else in the World maybe you don't want to boast.

The Jupiter-Neptune-Chiron conjunction was in effect at the certification signing in March as well but yesterday both Neptune and Chiron were stationing. Neptune stationing Rx and Chiron stationing Direct. And both planets and Chiron were on the same degree. Yesterday, the people cutting the ribbon were thinking more in terms of Scientific discoveries. Kim Jong Il was blasting something like the 7th Nuclear warhead in 2 weeks over in Northern Korea.

This is just like the time in 5th grade when me and Mary MacKenzie mixed Lavoris with Baking Soda and Nitric Acid over a hot plate until it exploded over an entire corner of the classroom. We just had to keep adding ingredients until it exploded, it was our only purpose. Spent about 3 hours mopping the goop up and I've never wanted to see another explosion for as long as I live.

Uranus in the ceremony chart is still unaspected in Pisces and is further enhanced as a singleton in Water. Schwarzenegger was quoting movie lines from Terminator while cutting the yellow ribbon. That's the Neptunian movie element. Neptune is the sign of self undoing. I heard someone, a Neptunian obviously, also say that it represents hidden resources. That's good for Team U.S. North Korea has certainly been sharing their hidden resources.

So this Uranus-Neptune mutual reception. Collective Unconscious? Forced Collective? How about Collective Unconscious obliterated. That's Pluto on the Aries Point shooting its wad.

Let me state in finality that all may not be lost just because I think it is. Lawrence Livermore Labs is set on a couple of earthquake fault lines. It is probably about 50 or 60 miles East of the San Andreas Fault Line. So it would be kind of cool if the Laser were set on motion detectors so that if an earthquake starts it will zap the fault line and merely singe the beard hairs off the hippies in Berkeley while nary a tipsy chandelier swaying in the land. In other words, maybe they can aim this thing into the ground at the right time and way lay an earthquake, or at least send the Shock waves over to North Korea. Maybe this thing could be useful in other decent ways. Who knows, it may be so powerful it can blast Dr. Evil and his Hairless Cat up into space once the Statue of Liberty is up to her waist in the Hudson from Global Warming. Maybe Hollywood can rent it out to etch-a-sketch Angelina Jolie's lips into the Moon. This is just so Outer Planety, my little Cancerian Sun just can't cope. I think I said before that I'm bad in a crisis. I get laughing attacks. Can't we just get Kim Jong Il a haircut? I mean, that's all that guy really needs anyway.

Are You An "Innie" or an "Outie?"

The Uranus-Neptune mutual reception transit has really been bringing out an interesting side of the Outer Sign Sun Signs. This is probably just my imagination but it seems that once one of these planets hits the Sun Signs of these people they think that their shit somehow doesn't belong to the sewer system with the rest of humanity. At any rate, I've been noticing a whole lot of really out there comments about the superiority of these signs these days so I suppose I feel an urge to beat them up a bit. It is my opinion, granted only an opinion, that one signs corrects, or improves upon, the characteristics of the sign before it. The first 4 signs sort of signify an interior struggle to develop as an individual. The next 4 signs signify an awareness that others exist in the world and that an individual relates to others. The last 4 signs signify that we all exist as part of a whole.

All the Signs have good characteristics and bad characteristics. One sign follows another with a duty to try to sort out the problems of its predecessor. The chart shows these as occurring in a cyclic format. But, the Outer Sign Suns seem to be perceiving themselves as the superior, top of the heap, best of the lot. I keep reading comments like "they really are more 'aware'". This scares me because as a person who lacks a lot of the outer sign signatures I tend to notice when one of them screws up. Also, I was much nicer to fellow Cancerian George W. than I normally would have been just out of a feeling of "why not? we're all dick heads here."

Right after President Obama's inauguration, which I totally agree is a manifestation of the best of what the Uranus-Neptune mutual reception, an Astrological Organization that I belong to sent out an email with an article written by somebody who was talking about the brilliance of these two planets working together. The writer completely ignored the negative side. She also ignored the fact that Obama is a Leo Sun with a Gemini Moon, neither sign of which belongs to the Holy Outer Signs. And she managed to talk about how Martin Luther King's chart connected with the Inauguration date. She missed the part where two of the most evil world leaders at this point belong to these signs and so in one of my hissy fits I checked Dick Cheney's chart. He is an Aquarius Sun with a Pisces Moon, couldn't be any closer to manifesting this mutual reception. And, so, by strange coincidence I noticed that most of the natal and transiting aspects that the writer wrote about Martin Luther King's Chart in her article were also true of Dick Cheney's chart and transits. Right now I can remember the Pisces Moons and Jupiter in Tauruses. Yet, Cheney is the epitome of an evil white guy, an abuser of power and of humanity and King is the great symbol of the Civil Rights movement. Astrology is really strange this way. This doesn't surprise me a whole lot but boy does it piss me off when I go on to read more superiority complexes about these signs.

I'm an early sign person, obviously hurt by the callousness and self-absorbtion of the people who think that their own shit doesn't stink, but I tend to see these outer Signs as simply having an interest in people working together in a huge group like formation. They will always have a need and awareness of how society works more than I do, at least by Astrological standards. But, whether their deeds and thoughts are good or bad can't be indicated by the chart apparently and I wish Astrologers wouldn't take this for granted. As an introvert I am scared out of my mind of the horror that can be committed by Politicians. That is what I am aware of. What confuses me is that I can see what each of us is missing, and they apparently can't. I guess this is why the Astrological Wheel just keeps circling around. Around and Around like the clothes dryer at the Laudromat. Like a Hamster in a wheel. Oh well.

This seques into Malcolm Gladwell's new book, Outliers, which in a way addresses this interesting superiority of the Outer Signs' Consciousness. I've only listened (audiobook) to the first CD, but, because I keep forgetting to put the second CD in the player, I've listened to it a couple of time. Gladwell talks about studies which have shown that athletes of some sports, Soccer and can't remember the other one I hate sports and grew up on a beach with Volleyball and surfing, Squash? Is there a sport called Squash? I don't know, I ran like a penquin and was always picked last for all team sports.

At any rate, the studies show that athletes on these teams are almost all born within the first 3 months of the year. There are almost no athletes from the last 3 months of the year. Interesting that this corresponds with the Outer Signs of Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. On a personal note this is actually sort of interesting by reason of the fact that I was raised by Scorpio/Sagittarius parents, born at the end of the year, who liked Sports just for the way that it provided them a reason to drink beer and to scream at the TV while running to the bathroom.

Gladwell points out that the reason for this is not mystical and astrological (he even mentions Astrology, hmph). The team members are chosen because the players are picked according to a cut off date that begins in January. These kids are slightly older, so larger and stronger physically than the other kids in the class, probably just a tiny bit more coordinated and aware of social strategy. The kids born at the end of the year were smaller and perhaps not as well developed quite yet in all areas. So, the Age difference in the Calendar Date, according to Gladwell and his researchers, is the main reason for better performance at the ages at which they are picked. Gladwell points out that the choosing begins at around ages 10 to 12 when growth is really significant. (That's the Jupiter Return = growth and expansion). These children are then set aside and groomed for the sport so they become even better. They are not only more confident for having been picked but are trained.

Gladwell goes on to explain how this is how superior groups of people are created by society, he calls them "Outliers" and goes on to talk about them in the rest of the book. He suggests ways to even out the score which is pretty awesome. And I'm sure in the rest of the book he discusses other more important social situations which cause advantage and disadvantage that affect a person's ability to succeed in life: the theme of the book is why some people succeed and others don't.

Anyway, Gladwell is a Virgo, one of the middle signs and probably able to understand the really huge and strange schism of behavior that exists between the Political adepts and the Interior Adept who are self-absorbed from a social standpoint (can't think of a decent word to call us at the moment, must be the Uranus-Neptune hatred thing kicking in).

Degreasing With Miracle Water

A Los Angeles Times article discusses what looks to me like a great manifestation of the Uranus-Neptune Mutual Reception -- Water that is mixed with Salt and somehow Ionized into a safe, effective, and inexpensive cleaner. The Russians and Japanese have been using it for a while. Uranus represents Electrozaps and Neptune represents Water. This is a massive improvement. Now if we could just learn how to tap free energy (via Tesla?) and desalinate Sea Water for drinking and recycle our sewage and waste more efficiently. Oh, and, of course, everyone should grow their own food via methods like Permaculture... Maybe Pluto in Capricorn will bring about the leadership and management skills that are intelligent enough to do this.

A while back I noticed that Cholera was found to pass around through the water supplies during the Uranus-Neptune Mutual Reception in the 1800s. This led to great advancements in containing Cholera Epidemics. Sorry, I have limited computer time right now and can't look around for a link to the article. Father and Son Swept Away for a Night Off Florida Coast

You think you were suffering this last Sunday after too long a night? Just think how Walter and Chris Marino felt. Chris is a 12-year old boy who was vacationing with his family near Daytona Beach, Florida. He jumped into the ocean around 7:30 pm on Saturday Night and got stuck in a rip tide. His Father, Walter, jumped in to save him and got caught in the current as well. It was probably too dark for the Coast Guard to find them so they spent the entire night floating around out off the coast. The next morning they were rescued. Walter was found at 7:30 am about 8 miles off shore and Chris was found 2 hours later about a mile away. During the night they had become separated.

This is a Miracle Story and it's always good to understand what the chart of a Miracle looks like. I tend to think that the Uranus-Neptune mutual reception combined with Pluto in Sagittarius is bringing more than the average amounts of Miracle Stories but who knows? At any rate, when Chris first made his big splash on Saturday evening Pisces would have been rising. That describes the Ocean scenery perfectly. The ruler of the Chart, Neptune, is conjunct the North Node (Destiny) right now and up in its own 12th House.

Uranus, planet of Unexpected Events, was very close to the Ascendant, a singleton in Water Signs. It makes sense from looking at this chart as an Event that a Shock will come from the Water if Uranus is placed in challenging aspect. Here it is opposing the Sun-Saturn conjunction in Pisces. Saturn rules Fathers and it is conjunct the 7th House cusp. Whatever else it is, this event has definitely turned out to be a real Father-Son bonding project.

The Uranus to Sun-almost Saturn opposition seems to be key to this event as it is straddling the ASC-DESC Axis at the beginning of the event. It is in the opposite position of this Angle 12 hours later what the Father is first rescued.

So this put Uranus and Saturn on strong Angular Positions. Pluto, ruler of both the Underworld and of a Water Sign is angular up in the 10th house as well and unaspected. Pluto works from beneath the surface, you really have to watch out for the undertows that he creates. And the whole shape of this chart is lopsided into a bowl shape that's bound by the Uranus to Sun-Saturn opposition. Something had to fall over.

Also creating a problem was the Out-of-Bounds Moon this week-end. In the end, this is probably what saved these two men. The Moon was in Sagittarius and Sagittarius will take on an Adventure. Chris, the Son, as a 12 year old is probably just past his Jupiter Return so this may have been some sort of weird Astro Expression of his natal chart as Jupiter rules Sagittarius. Mars-Mercury and Venus were also in conjunction (placed in angular 7th House) and squaring Jupiter in Capricorn. If Chris has natal Jupiter in Capricorn it makes sense astrologically at least that he would celebrate his 1st Jupiter Return in some way with his Dad (Capricorn rules Fathers). That adds to the Adventurous, positive spirit that the Marinos exhibit. They say that the Lighthouse saved their lives because it gave them a point of reference and they knew they were still close to land. Perhaps the elevated placement of the Moon is symbolic of that.

When Walter (the Father) was picked up around 7:30 the next morning this chart was flip flopped almost as if the chart capsized on itself (or reverse-capsized). The bowl shape was covering the bottom half of the chart.

As rescue, The Moon was conjunct the IC and, along with the MC, was involved in both a Grand Square (square Sun-Saturn-ASC opposite Uranus-DESC) and a Kite/Grand Trine (Mars-Mercury-Venus trine North Node).

When Chris (the Son) was picked up two hours later (around 9:30 am) Mars (ruling boys) was conjunct the Ascendant. The whole time the Mercury-Venus-Mars conjunction was trining (protection) the Neptune-North Node conjunction. Looking at the chart, it almost looks as if Neptune, Lord of the Sea, was doing this on purpose. It's none of my business but I hope that this family seeks treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress immediately because this chart would certainly be a strong indicator that problems will embed themselves deeply in the psyche if not openly confronted as soon as possible. I read that Chris is Autistic. This Adventure could either help him or hurt him depending on how it is handled. He certainly has shown that he has strength and survival skills. With the Jupiter influence maybe he will go on to publish a book about his experience (with his Dad, of course).

Odysseus' Homecoming On A Solar Eclipse?

Scholars have published a study pinpointing the return of the Homeric Hero Odysseus from the Trojan War and from his Travels. They say this could have happened during an Aries Solar Eclipse on Apr. 16, 1178 BC. (Day after Tax Day.)

From a New York Times article by John Noble Wilford "Homecoming of Odysseus May Have Been in Eclipse:"

Although an eclipse is not mentioned anywhere in the story, there are omens and what Plutarch inferred was a poetic description of a total solar eclipse. Odysseus has arrived home, disguised in beggar’s rags and in hiding before revealing himself. It happens that, when Penelope’s persistent suitors sit down for a noontime meal, they start laughing uncontrollably and see their food spattered with blood.

At this strange moment, the seer Theoclymenus foretells their death, ending with the sentence, “The Sun has been obliterated from the sky, and an unlucky darkness invades the world.”

There are reasons to think that the darkness of a total eclipse had just fallen on Ithaca. It was close to noon when the 1178 eclipse occurred over the Ionian Sea. It was, as mentioned several times in the story, at the time of a new moon, which the scientists point out is “a necessary condition for a solar eclipse.” And what better atmospherics to accompany a prophecy of doom than a total eclipse, which was considered an ill omen?

Experts on Homer have previously discounted such conjecture. For one thing, the earliest verified eclipse records are in the eighth century B.C., about the time Homer was writing but long after the action in what is known as the Trojan War, around the early 12th century B.C. Scholars say there is no evidence supporting a view at the time, widely quoted, that “a solar eclipse may mark the return of Odysseus.”

In their report, Dr. Baikouzis and Dr. Magnasco acknowledged the speculative nature of their study, several times throwing in their own caveats. “The notion that the passage could refer not just to an allegorical eclipse used by the poet for literary effect but actually to a specific historical one,” they agreed, “seems unlikely because it would entail the transmission through oral tradition of information about an eclipse occurring maybe five centuries before the poem was cast in the form we know today.”

The two scientists derived a possible chronology from astronomical references in the story, including the stars by which Odysseus navigated, the sighting of Venus just before dawn as he arrives at Ithaca, and the new moon on the night before the massacre of the suitors and the presumed eclipse.

On the basis of their analysis, the scientists said, these three “references ‘cohere,’ in the sense that the astronomical phenomena pinpoint the date of 16 April 1178 B.C.,” adding, “The odds that purely fictional references to these phenomena (so hard to satisfy simultaneously) would coincide by accident with the only eclipse of the century are minute.

Also interesting is that Odysseus was away from home for 19 years, that's an entire cycle of the Moon's Nodes.

Solar Fire is just so awesome:

Total Solar Eclipse

The Sun-Moon-NN conjunction is in the 10th House. Guess that's a sign that the Lord of the Home has returned. They are squaring Pluto in the 7th House. Lord had to kill his Wife's suitors.

This is a really significant time for the Outer Planets. Jupiter and Saturn were in conjunction over the Taurus-Gemini cusp. I wonder if they were known at this point. I think this is the Star that led the Wisemen to Jesus a couple of millenia later. They were squaring Uranus. Uranus was also opposing Neptune in the 3d-9th House pretty close to the IC/MC.

Exciting part is that Pluto was in Capricorn so it is now about to have a return for that time. On this particular Eclipse it was at 10 Capricorn.

So the Trojan War may have started 19 years earlier than that. I counted back 19 years on SolarFire to 1197. Pluto was at 8 Sagittarius at that point and there was again a Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Libra which was separating (Apr. 16).

Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions are said to show social upheaval so it would be really interesting to think that the Trojan War started during one of these conjunctions. It would also mean that the Trojan Horse was a terrorist contraption of a Pluto in Sagittarius transit. Now we know where to look for Osama. The symbolism is totally awesome as Sagittarius is half horse/half man.

Oh, and Odysseus' Loyal Dog who had waited all those years for his Master to return? He recognized Odysseus in his beggar's clothes and then died right after seeing him. The Dog is even indicated in this chart! Sagittarius is intercepted in the 6th House of pets so the House was very big. Scorpio is on the cusp and the ruler of the House is Pluto (Death) which was conjunct the Capricorn (Old) Descendant and squaring the Sun-Moon-Node!

There's no way this chart could be correct but it sure is fun to look at. I really have to figure how to add them to this blog.

people interacting on the Internet defy all the statistics of normal human behavior. Capricorn represents Human Behavior at its most ideal for culture building. So what do the last two signs, Aquarius and Pisces do? Well, there's the usual interpretations like Uranus rules Eccentrics and Pisces rules Wandering Souls (along with lots of other interpretations).

The true Eccentrics are ruled by Aquarius, but, sorry, I don't think that Uranus can do this all on his lonesome. I think the Uranus-Neptune mutual reception is responsible for what the Statisticians are finding about human behavior on the Internet.

Mark Meiss and colleagues at Indiana University in Bloomington collected statistical data on hundreds of millions of online connections involving people exchanging emails, sharing files or just browsing the web. They found extreme variations in user behaviour - for example, in the number of people a user tended to interact with. The spread of results was utterly unlike the normal bell curve of statistics, produced when most data points are clustered around a central value, with few points at the "tails" of the curve.

The team hope their findings will inspire better models of online behaviour, which could help improve network security (Journal of Physics A, DOI: 10.1088/1751-8113/41/22/224022).

Time Travelling Bacteria

10 years ago I think most Doctors were still of the opinion that Bacteria are no longer a problem. Scientists and Doctors have been concerned that overuse of antibiotics is creating immunity in bacteria. Now it turns out that Dirt holds bacteria that are resistant to Antibiotics given at a level that would kill a human. Turns out Superbugs exist in the Earth's soil that are able to survive through time and through everything that humans have been able to attack them with so far. How appropriate for this to be exposed just as Pluto passes into an Earth Sign. I think the Uranus-Neptune mutual reception is really letting us know how vast the Universe is.

How to Repel the Mosquitoes This Summer

Now that Summer is here so are the Mosquitos. And so that means, so is the DEET. NPR had a cute little show about the search to find a replacement product for DEET that's just as effective. They don't like how the stuff smells. DEET repels the mosquitoes by confusing their olfactory senses. They won't bite you because you won't smell like a human. Unfortunately, you will smell like DEET. And I can assure you that's not good. The Wikipedia statistics say that 30 percent of the population of the U.S. will use DEET this Summer. Nothing, but nothing's, going to be buzzing around them this summer, hew.

I thought maybe there was some interesting astrology to look up here and found a whole lot more. First, about the Smell detail. DEET was first used by the U.S. Army in 1946. Pluto rules, or at least partly rules, the sense of smell. At least the part of the smell sense that rules deep, dark emotional memories, think Jungle imagery. Towards the end of 1946, Saturn was just joining Pluto in a conjunction in Leo. Man v. Jungle. Man controls the Jungle. Man can finally sleep. Man's so happy that Saturn is finally out of Cancer which is always a miserable transit. And, well, actually DEET has been found to create insomnia, so the mosquitoes won't bother you, but you still won't sleep.

Really odd thing is that DEET dissolves plastics. It's a solvent. I didn't know anything could dissolve plastics. I thought plastics weren't biodegradable. Plastics have to be recycled because they don't mix back in with the earth. So this is very confusing. If you spray DEET on your clothes and your clothes are made of synthetics they will burst apart. But for some reason we aren't concerned about what will burst apart if we spray DEET on our skin. Why would we spray something on our bodies which can dissolve something that is so durable it doesn't dissolve on its own? Our bodies are biodegradable. That's pretty weird. So, go wash that stuff out. It will go straight into the oceans where 90 percent of the fish have vanished, mysteriously. Dissolving fish, how Neptunian.

The rulerships for Plastics isn't confirmed really. Uranus would be involved because Uranus rules man's innovations. Mercury might also be involved for the same reason. Neptune is involved because Plastics are so moldable. Solvents are ruled by Neptune, unless they're acids and then they're ruled by Mars.

During 1946, there was a really awesome aspect between Uranus and Neptune. Uranus and the North Node were in Gemini so that's great for innovation. Jupiter and Neptune were in Libra. During various times the Libra outer planets were in trine with the Gemini Uranus-NN conjunction. What a great year for manufacturing Plastics.

Actually DEET wasn't sold to the public until 1957. (Isn't it amazing how the Servicemen got to be the Guinea Pigs for testing out these new products? Is that PTSD you've got? Or ....) Uranus was in Leo close to the spot where the Saturn-Pluto conjunction was. And Pluto moved into Virgo, sign of Public Health. Neptune had just moved into Scorpio so I suppose for a while there was confusion about what was healthy and what was poison. Between the DEET, the monkeyvirus vaccinations, and who knows what else, the outer planets were really having their jollies hooking men into some long-term, difficult to understand health issues. Malaria's no joke, of course, so the DEET's around for some really good reasons.

The Italians used to throw fresh Basil on the floor of the kitchen to keep the mosquitoes away. That's my preferred method, of course, although I've recently used DEET (my socks all mysteriously fell apart and the leather on my shoes completely split apart, the guy at the shoe store said wow that's weird).

There's also a new product now out called Icaridin. It doesn't smell and it doesn't melt plastic. I guess it doesn't have an appropriate Outer Planet configuration to latch on to for marketing purposes yet.

Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar

Massive Destruction in Burma from Cyclone Nargis which made landfall on the coast of Myanmar last Friday just as its winds were at their maximum speed of 132 mph.

The Sun here is unaspected in the 8th House of Mass Destruction & Crisis & Death ( except for minor semi-square gizmo to Moon). As a matter of fact, the Sun had been unaspected since April 29, the day after the storm began out in the ocean. Its last aspect before that had been as part of an Earth Grand Trine to Saturn and Pluto which it shared with Venus. Venus has massive rulership of this chart as ruler of both the Sun and the Chart itself. Venus is placed in the Landfall chart, angular, in the 7th house.

This storm seems like another present from the Uranus-Neptune mutual reception. The cosmic outer planet mingling of everything that wind and water can do together. Nothing gets you thinking outside the box quite like having almost an entire country x-d off the map. It's interesting that the rest of this chart is so prominent in Earth signs.

First to look at Uranus & Neptune in the chart:

• Neptune here is conjunct the North Node to the degree and also conjunct Chiron. Saturn is conjunct the South Node from Virgo. The Landfall chart puts the axis in the 5th and 11th Houses.

• Uranus is placed in the 6th House and had just been passed over by the Moon which was at the last degree of Pisces on the Aries Point.

The Moon here is squaring Pluto at the Aries Point. Pluto is in the 3d house, having just crossed the IC about the same time that the Moon crossed over Uranus.

The Saturn-Pluto trine is super strong at this point. As I said the Storm had been piddling around out in the ocean for days and decided to plop onto land just as it reached its strongest point. Saturn and Pluto are both in the beginning degrees of earth signs. They are included in a Grand Trine with Venus, which is ruler of the chart. They are also included in a trapezoid figure where they square and inconjunct Mercury in Taurus (H8) and the Moon in Pisces (H6). What this means to me is that the planets were just crystallized and working together with each other. Saturn and Pluto tend to like to manifest terror if given half a chance, and that's what they did here.

Mars is in Cancer, still. This is one long transit through the Terrible Two's. Mars is elevated up in the 10th House, opposing Jupiter down in H4 and trining both the Moon and Uranus in Pisces.

Due to the Political Isolationism of Burma, the country has been denying its people international Aid. The first help has been received Tuesday afternoon as must of the country has been without electricity and fresh water for 4 days. The death toll is thought to be staggering, up past 20,000 dead last I read. The Government failed to warn the people beforehand about the impending dangers. Perhaps the Saturn-Pluto-Sun-Venus Grand Trine accounts for their isolationism and false sense of thinking they could deal with the problem on their own. James Carville

With the Presidential Elections peaking today probably providing deciding votes for the Democratic Runner, I thought I'd chat about Politics. Close to nobody reads this blog but if they did they would know that I'm totally full of shit whilst discussing politics. The person who wins is going to have to be good at fixing things because the entire United States is completely broken, except for the large Oil Companies who will break as soon as Bush leaves, maybe a month before if he's feeling vindictive or if Dick Cheney shoots anymore lawyers. And that's all I know about that.

Watching Obama and Clinton arguing really upsets me because I like them both so I won't discuss that, but I'm impressed by James Carville. He's got the most amazing personality and I really would like to know what kind of a Rising Sign he has in order to understand how he can have such a positive influence on other people. Or at least I think he's got remarkable talents in that direction. But, alas, no birth time so no info on that front.

The thing about James Carville is how motivating he is. When I listen to him talk, I want to run for President (smirk). So I was thinking about coaching ability and how that would be represented in an astrology chart. I assumed it was a fire thing, kind of like being able to light the fire under another person's ass. But here Carvill's chart shows the way. Turns out that a person who is good at motivating others has a natural understanding of, guess what? Motives. And that means: Scorpio.

Carville's Sun in Scorpio is strongly aspected because it is conjunct Mercury and Mars in Scorpio. That means that his communication style and action style express themselves through the deeper emotional forces of the universe. These are challenged by a square to Pluto in Leo (Scorpio's ruler in the sign of the showman, a whole generation of these). The Sun-Mercury-Mars conjunction may also be squaring Carville's Aquarius Moon as apex of a t-square if he's born around noontime. Having Sun & Moon in challenging aspect with each other would show that he got lots of coaching abilities as a kid from watching his parents not being nice to each other. In aspect to Pluto he took this on as deep lessons in what motivates people's psychologically and in large masses as Pluto rules crowds. This is great for politics. Moon in Aquarius is a light hearted placement for the Moon. These people tend to carry a special light with them that keeps others on even keel.

Carville's chart is otherwise bereft of oppositions which is kind of interesting to me because I'm interested in looking at it in terms of how well he relates to others. Without ASC-DESC information the next thing I'd look for are Libra planets and Oppositions to show relationship abilities and these aren't real strong here either. Maybe relationship ability isn't the thing that's really needed. It's just deep understanding of how things work, a driving force and determination, sensitivity, and all the other Scorpio traits.

Carville was also born into a generation that specializes in this light-hearted, hope-filled message as he was born while Uranus in Gemini was trining Neptune in Libra with Pluto in Leo sextiling from right inbetween. If the Noon time Aquarius Moon placement holds, this small triangle fans out into a Kite figure. This would show a successful contributor to one's generational message through emotional (Moon) use of the public (Moon, Aquarius). This uses the Scorpio energy on a social level.

So, I'll end this guessing game here.

Looked at Washington's chart today for Rising Signs. It looks like Obama's Sun will rise over the Ascendant between 3 and 4 pm today. Hillary's will rise over the Ascendant around 10 & 11pm. Wonder if that means a hill of beans. As I said, Politics isn't really my thing but I'm eager for either of these guys to become President.

The Father of Computer Science

While looking up great Scientists & Thinkers of the 20th Century I came across the name of Alan Turing. Turing is called "The Father of Computer Science." I haven't got a clue what that means except to say "I wouldn't be sitting here doing this if it weren't for your Big Fat Brain, Alan. Thanks, Dude." Besides, Alan & I have the same Sun and Rising Signs and I'm flattered out of my mind.

Well, the whole point of this exercise was to look at the signature for why Alan was such a lightening rod. Could it be....? Did he have a prominent...? What planet could possibly show such an intuitive gear head? Yeah, silly, you guessed it...Uranus!

Alan's Uranus, unlike mine, was right at the top of his chart conjunct to the degree and in its own sign of Aquarius, sign of innovation, intuition, lightening fast speeds.

In addition, Uranus was opposing Neptune, the other planet of psychic intuition, down at the bottom of the chart in the 3d House of Thinking Processes.

Turing's Uranus is also trining Saturn in Taurus (Realism, lends stability to all that Electricity) and his Gemini Ascendant. Uranis is also inconjunct the Sun (Will, creative expression); quintile his Pluto in Gemini; and sextile his Jupiter in Sagittarius (Broadmindedness, Luck). So, Uranus is working in cahoots with all the Outer Planets plus the Sun in this chart.
