Barbara Simpson Interview with Dr. Katherine Albrecht

Barbara Simpson gave another great interview this week-end on her radio show on KSFO.  I think I linked to the one about GMOs a few months ago.  Saturday's interview (Aug. 4, 2012)  she interviewed privacy expert Dr. Katherine Albrecht.  The show is mostly about micro-chipping.  Penney's is planning on micro-chipping everything in their store in 2013.  Macy's and Walmart also intend to do the same.  There are movements also to microchip people, of course. People are already microchipping their pets.  Dr. Albrecht explains that cancer rates go up in animals who are microchipped.

Either way, now is a great time to invest in Reynold's Wrap because apparently tinfoil really can block the RFID chips.

Dr. Albrecht is creating a new search engine which caters to people who want privacy.  It's called www.StartPage.com. What company owns Reynold's Wrap right now?

Who Loves the Future, Baby? California Agriculture

February 2 wasn't just Ground Hog's Day. In California it was "Wonderful World of Agriculture Day." On February 2, Governor Jerry Brown appointed an Organic Farmer to head, get this, the Department of Pesticide Regulation.

Brian Leahy was previously the Assistant Director of the California Department of Conservation. From 2000-2004 he was Executive Director of the California Certified Organic Farmers. Now he is Head of the Department of Pesticide Regulation. Brian Leahy is an organic farmer! And he can do politics!

Neptune has just moved into its own sign of Pisces and is just a few degrees away from having an exact Neptune Return in the natal chart for California. California's Sun is in Virgo (Sept. 9, 1850) and that opposes the sign of Pisces (not an opposition, though, because degrees are too far apart). If you're a control freak a Sun-Neptune opposition can be the transit from hell. Neptune just sort of makes sure you don't know what is going on for a few years. Then you wake up and look back and say, What the Hell just happened?

So, I thought we were all just going to have to succumb to the situations which are looking pretty dire. But, there you go. Wonders never cease (especially when you've got good leadership).

Neptune also rules hypersensitivity. The Neptunians will be the first to feel the poisons. They will also be more concerned for the welfare of others. And Neptune knows how to get what it wants, but through mellow means... and that does sound like California style.

I think that the Uranus-Pluto square is also an extremely strong influence here. Both of these planets create change, usually catastrophic change. Scary change that requires heroic adaptation. Pluto works from the underground and Uranus works from the Lightening Flash. They pull and zap at the same time and our knees get a little creaky. We can't really see them coming the way we can see Saturn crap coming. We don't necessarily feel like their experiences made us stronger.

Together Uranus and Pluto can be a PTSD diagnosis 20 years down the road. But, in this case, not only are we about to go through a Neptune Return, but we are going through a Ceres Return and Ceres has been in conjunction with Uranus! (It was a close one degree orb on February 2.) Ceres rules Farming! Ceres wants to make things grow. Ceres is a Goddess and she likes getting help from Uranus and Pluto when the tomatoes begin to taste like acid and the cantaloupe tastes like wax. On February 2, Ceres was at 5 Aries in conjunction with Uranus at 1 Aries. They were squared by Pluto at (oops didn't write it down) ___ Capricorn. Oh, wherever Pluto was.

Governor Brown is an Aries. Capricorn is Governance. Uranus shocks the shit out of everyone. Wonder what Leahy's sign is, of course, but couldn't find it. When we're relaxed we can see that Uranus represents Hopes and Wishes and the Future. And this so makes me love the future.

Virgo and Cancer also rule farming. Cancer, ruler of environment and home, has been at the empty leg of that long Cardinal Sign t-square totally needing to be represented.

Mars was at 21 Virgo was facing this extra long transit through that sign. It hadn't started moving Retrograde yet. So all things that Virgo rules, like jobs, service, public health, health habits, diet, hygiene, etc. will receive the benefits of extra attention.

Virgo's ruler, Mercury, was at 23 Sagittarius in a wide conjunction with The North Node at 15 Sagittarius. The Moon at Noon on February 2 was in Gemini. We got a new way of thinking (Gemini). We're getting new rules to play by (Sagittarius).

Like, Wow, Dudes!

Old Cats: Grandpa, Cream Puff and Jake Perry

There's a 39 year old cat living over in England who has surpassed the previous world records for World's Oldest Cat which was set by two cats owned by a guy named Jake Perry who lives in Austin, Texas.

Don't know what sign the World's oldest cat is, but Perry can be seen with his cats in this YouTube video and Perry's good at remembering dates related to his beasts:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MomPIBPD7ig&feature=related

I watched the video because I wanted to know what this guy feeds his cats. Venus in Virgos maybe obsess over these things. Apparently, every morning the entire household, Perry and his "flock" of cats eats bacon, eggs, broccoli, and coffee. It's kind of like they never watched a Purina commercial.

Since the oldest cat I've ever seen was 25 years old I think this is totally miraculous. Jake's cats look really healthy.

First oldest cat was a hairless Sphynx named Grandpa. Grandpa supposedly was born in 1964 in France and lived to be 3_ years old. Obviously, the Uranus and Pluto passage into Virgo has got to have something to do with this. Virgos have good bones. That's why they become Fashion Models. Maybe bone structure helps to balance the inner organs for maximum function or something. I think Virgos also have long lives but can't back that up with any specific examples. It's just a practical sign. Virgo also rules Amazing Household Pets.

Grandpa died in Jake's lap on April 1, 1998 at 3:30 am. He set the record for World's Oldest Cat.

Then along came Creme Puff. Creme Puff lived to be 38 years old and 3 days. Funny how it works out that he's a Leo born during the Summer of Love. He died just after his 38th Solar Return. He just loved being a Cat, that's for sure.

Creme Puff
b. Aug. 3, 1967 Austin, TX

Sun 11 Leo; Moon Cancer; NN 2 Taurus

Creme Puff had Sun conjunct Jupiter in Leo which trines Saturn in Aries. Obviously he or she or it was blessed with Good Luck, Good Bones, and the Ability to Play Well With Others. These are all very important for a Long, Healthy Life.

Creme Puff died just after a Solar Return, a Venus Return (conjunct n.Uranus and Pluto in Virgo), and a Nodal Return. He/She/It had Mars in Scorpio conjunct South Node and died while Mars was in Taurus conjunct the North Node. The Sun was exactly conjunct natal Jupiter. Lois Rodden said you want to die during a Jupiter transit.

d. Aug. 6, 2005 Austin, TX

Sun 14 Virgo; Moon Leo or Virgo; NN 17 Leo

Don't know what Jake Perry's sign is. That would be an interesting chart to look at.

P.S. Creme Puff was a She.

Iranian Airlines 7908 Crash

This year is not yet at the record for most fatalities from plane crashes but apparently the numbers are coming pretty close. 3 major plane crashes have occurred within the last couple of months. A couple of months ago somebody in the comments section asked me what I thought of the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction that's occurring in Aquarius right now and I said it was reminding me of a big dirigible in the sky. I was only kidding. Airplane people, you can stop following my stupid comments. Stop it!

Sadly yesterday an Iranian Airline, Caspian Airlines, lost all of its passengers, 168 total. The plane crashed shortly after departure from the airport in Tehran. Wikipedia says that time of crash was 11:33 am, 16 minutes after take-off. So, I assume that Take Off time is 11:17 am but haven't been able to find that number anyway yet.

Iranian Airlines Caspian Airlines Flight 7908 Crash
Take-Off July 15, 2009, 11:17 am (?) Tehran, Iran

Headed to Yerevan, Armenia

Time of crash: 11:33 am near city of Qazum, Iran(?)

This crash seems to be an Eclipse related Crash as there is a Sun-Moon square in the chart which is loosely connected with the Nodal Axis. It is also occurring right between the Lunar Eclipse of July 7 and the Total Solar Eclipse of July 20.

The Uranus-Pluto square seems like a strong influence here. At time of take off Uranus was conjunct the 27 Pisces Descendant to the degree.

At time of crash, Pluto was at 2 Capricorn conjunct the 1 Capricorn IC. (Plane crashed nose down, Pluto often represents a crisis involving mass fatalities.

Pluto and Uranus are squaring each other, as I said. The only other aspect Pluto makes is an inconjunct to Mars 3 Gemini which is placed up in the 9th House of Air and long distance travel.

Venus rules the 1 Libra Ascendant and also the H9 Cusp of Long Distance Travel and is placed in the 9th House in the sign of Gemini. So there is an indication of something involving travel that will come out into the public eye. Venus's influence is strongly enhanced because she is unaspected except for a wide 8 degree conjunction to Mars.

And, of course, the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Aquarius is probably responsible as it is in the sign of Aquarius. This combination rules all the signatures of Aviation lumped together.

Unfortunately, right now Chiron is in conjunction which perhaps indicates some kind of wounding that can't be helped. And Saturn which rules caution and safety procedures is in Virgo. The Devil is in the Details. And I can't think of a combination that would want to avoid details more than a Happy go lucky Jupiter-Neptune set-up.

That Uranus-Pluto square is just licking its chops waiting for someone to make one small gaff.

I send my condolences to those who have lost someone in yesterday's crash.

The Liberty Bell v. the Opening Bell

Hey, it's nice that the Liberty Bell has a crack in it. If you can accept that then you can accept anything, you know you may someday be able to let Freedom Ring. However, when there's a crack in the Opening Bell, well then you might as well be staring down the Cable repairman's pearly white butt.

At any rate, the drop in the Stock Market is never ending. This is some kind of Rabbit hole, let me tell you, Alice.

Monica over at Astrology Mundo has given a concise and insightful interpretation of how much we have to panic about. ("Blizzard hits ..." http://astrologymundo.wordpress.com/). She links to a chart of the NYSE's incorporation chart. Have I looked at this before? Anyway, nice chart available over at bemyastrologer.com (link below). The direct link is at Monica's blog. Maybe if I learned how to do links the Market would go back up (you can tell I have 3 planets in Leo when I say things like that).

New York Stock Exchange Incorporation

May 17, 1792 10:10 am New York, NY

Sun 28 Taurus; Moon 20 Aries; ASC 12 Leo; NN 2 Libra; MC 1 Taurus

from: http://www.bemyastrologer.com/nyse_charts.html

With Sun in Taurus and Venus conjunct Taurus Midheaven, I suppose we can see why the Bulls like to Rage. I wish the Bear would go into hibernation but I guess Alan Greenspan kept him there too long, probably doped up on some Neptunian Ego trip. And, actually, the Taurus rulership is inappropriate for the Stock Market. It's supposed to rule Banks which is the part of the Resource Square (H2,5,8,11) that doesn't directly rule Stock Markets. Pluto in the 7th promises constantly unreliable partnerships and dealings. Maybe the NYSE needs to reincorporate. I suppose it's easy to see how this Plutonian energy works because the Federal Reserve Bank and its current Pluto transit is directly affecting the Stock Market's plunge. They'll probably decide to reincorporate right during the Saturn-Uranus-Pluto square. Wouldn't that be a gas?

This chart has Uranus in Leo in the 1st House opposing Pluto in Aquarius in the 7th House. That's being activated by transiting Neptune-Chiron and the North Node for some time now. However, Neptune's transit is coming exact this week. That's what Monica's brilliantly pointing out. Noel Tyl calls Neptune-Pluto transits and Solar Arcs "Ego Wipe Outs." As this one happens on an angle and in the 7th House and activates an opposition this means that the Wipe Out is involved in relationships and in balancing acts. 7th House is the house of open enemies and no combination works less "out in the open" than Neptune and Pluto together. That combination can only make for sabotage and spies. So, this is the state of the New York Stock Exchange.

This NYSE incorporation chart also has a conjunction of Jupiter to Neptune in Libra which opposes Saturn in Aries very close to the IC/MC line. So the Outer Planets are very prominently linked both with each other and with the angles or major points of this chart. Interesting that the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction is trining Pluto here. So, the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction that happens this Summer will be trining it. Ben Bernanke is a Sagittarius Sun-Pisces Moon person, so he's embodying Jupiter-Neptune. I'm sure at this point he would rather not embody anything. At any rate, this energy isn't normally known in Astrological circles for fiscal responsibility, more for having concern for policies and theories and unbridled idealism and broad minded humanitarianism. It's actually very positive and upbeat, but considered very unrealistic.

With the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Air there's a real need for fantastic thinking. And with the Uranus-Pluto opposition in Leo-Aquarius there's a need to crash and burn. The Aries Moon likes all the excitement, of course, and Leo Rising likes all the extra attention this drama brings. But, this is conflicted by a Taurus Sun which is ruled by Banks and Money that one has in one's hands and staying real and being conservative. These energies don't work well together so I suppose this is why they slide out of control. There are no planets in Water Signs. So, there might be an extreme handling of dealing with changing scenarios or with dealing with underhanded behaviors that can't be expressed openly and candidly. Interesting that there's a crash just as the rulers of two of the water signs are in conjunction. Mars in this chart is a singleton and is also the only planet that is placed in a Resources house. That's just plain screwy considering that this is a chart for a Stock Exchange. Anyway, Mars in Virgo is very shrewd. Mars is impulse, though. Interesting that this singleton is acting on behalf of all the Resource Houses which are not only empty of other planets but ruled by Mutable Signs on their cusps. That easily explains why the Stock Market is so impermanent and like quick sand.

Right now the progressed Sun is at 29 Sagittarius. That's stressful enough because it shows an big 30 year shift of energy this time from idealistic Sagittarius to stoic Capricorn. The switch from Scorpio to Sagittarius would have taken on a much lighter vibe. Anyway, What a let down. I thought the progression from Leo to Virgo was bad. It also coincides with Pluto's transit too which has just made that passage itself. And now Neptune is there, and Chiron is there. And boy what a mess.

Anyway, we all know that by now.

What I'm starting to worry about is how these Saturn-Uranus transits tend to lead into financial-political problems that turn into World Wars. I'm sort of on the fence with what Obama's doing.
The great Social progress that is happening with regards to his win for Presidency is great but there is at least in my area a huge backlash of racism. That can only get worse. (and by the way, it's not White people who are doing the harassment). Perhaps Social Spending is a better investment than Business spending in times like these because Socially things are in just as bad a shape as anything else. At any rate, Obama's just hired a guy to control all of the money stuff and the guy forgot to pay his own taxes.

Scott, we now know, Is Disgruntled

The headlines of the San Jose Mercury News use part of a quote by a White House Staff in describing ex-Bush Aida, Scott McClellan. It says "This is not the Scott We Knew." Wow. This is like something you say about a 3 year old or a person you've just had locked up in a Mental Hospital. McClellan is the former Bush Aide who has written a memoir about the experience which is said to not be very flattering to the President.

The entire quote that the White House released is:

"Scott, we now know, is disgruntled about his experience at the White House. We are puzzled. It is sad. This is not the Scott we knew."[8]

Is the White House Staff sad over this? Someone -- please get the Kleenex.

Scott McClellan

b. Feb. 14, 1968 Austin, TX (from Wikipedia)

Sun 26 Aquarius; Moon Leo or Virgo; NN 21 Aries Rx

Scott is one of those 60s babies with the Uranus-Pluto conjunction still in Virgo. Eric Francis caught a great interview with Donna Cunningham about these people and what they are going through transit-wise on his Planet Waves blog here: http://planetwaves.net/pagetwo/category/uac/.

McClellan's Uranus-Pluto conjunction is opposing a conjunction of Mars and Chiron in Pisces. This is a fairly willful combination that won't have a problem with rebellion, could also be considered a traitor/defector in some situations. McClellan was told to go before the World and lie for the sake of President Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove and Scotter Libby during the Valerie Plame/CIA Leak, he Pluto was just moving into its square with his opposition.

The Pluto Square is much different for the Pluto in Virgo generation than it was for the previous generations as it comes so much earlier in life. Pluto represents crises but also a desire to transform. This is the first generation to have grown up in Divorced families en masse so the generation was literally branded for mutability early on in life. The mid-60s people have Pluto conjunct Uranus.

McClellan made his Speech/Lie on Oct. 10, 2003. His Sun had progressed to 1 Aries, the spot where transiting Pluto is now. He is publishing his memoir of working for the Bush Administration and is, in my opinion, empowering not only himself by coming clean, but empowering (and cleansing, don't forget it's Virgo, first things first) the Nation.

Transiting Uranus was also in strong aspect in his chart. It was passing over his natal Sun-Mercury Rx conjunction in its own sign of Aquarius. This man has been due to create some shock waves.

Funny, I was just thinking yesterday how some world leader needs to call Bush up and say, "Mr. Bush, Tear Down That Wall." Perhaps here my wish is fulfilled.

Thanks, Scott! You're a Valentine with a Heart of Gold!

(there seems to be a typography problem. Blogger just changed its format so guess there was a change that I'm unable to figure out. Am having all kinds of technical difficulties so shouldn't hit that publish button but....).

Gen X & Gen Y

Interesting little article titled "Gen Y: An Alien Life Force?" in a magazine titled What is Enlightenment? (Feb-Apr 2008 issue). According to this article older people are confounded by the younger generation. The U.S. Navy has called them "narcissistic praise junkees" and "a somewhat alien life force." I suppose the boomers were called "Draft Dodgers" when faced with Vietnam, so I don't know how important this criticism is. Either way I was sort of shocked by a poll which is listed comparing people born in Gen X (Age 26-40) and people born later (Age 18-25). The Generation Y people just want to be rich and famous, very few want to become more spiritual. The magazine's website is www.wie.org so maybe they include the article.

I sort of starting blaming Pluto in Virgo v. Pluto in Libra for this phenomenon but when I looked at the years that separate these generations I realized that they are marked by major outer planet configurations.

Generation X began around 1967 when there was a Kite Pattern (February, 1967) of Uranus-Pluto in Virgo opposite Saturn in Pisces which includes a Grand Water Trine between Saturn in Pisces trine Jupiter in Cancer trine Neptune in Scorpio. Of course this generation wants spirituality with all that Water plus Virgo and of course they don't understand the money thing as well.

Generation Y began around 1982 up to 1990. In 1982 there was the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Libra. Uranus and Neptune were both in Sagittarius, not in conjunction. Narcissism is one of the markers for both of these signs. Spirituality for these folks is going to be much different than it was for the previous generation, much more social and extroverted. Perhaps they don't feel any deep yearnings to pursue any big questions because outward adventure is their expression. I wouldn't expect a Libra Generation to run out and sign up for the draft, that's for sure.

The article only accounts for kids 18 years old and beyond which cuts off that Generation at 1990. In 1990 of course there was the big conjunction of Saturn-Uranus-Neptune in Capricorn, a sign which appreciates money and particularly fame.

So, anyway, I think it's interesting that these dates line up with some of the major outer planet transits.

Pablo Casals

I admire this guy so much I can't even begin to try to think of fluffing up some stupid introductory remark. You want to see a great Master in action watch this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NP5OUxyEOhk. Casals is teaching a student. The student plays, completely clueless how the music should sound and then Casals shows her how it's done...

Pablo Casals

b. Dec. 29, 1876 8pm Vendrell, Spain

Sun 9 Capricorn; ASC 20 Leo; Moon 24 Gemini; MC12 Taurus; NN 15 Pisces Rx

Casals was one of the greatest Musicians who ever lived. This is reflected by his Taurus Midheaven and Pisces North Node, and also his 5th House Sun trine Neptune.

Casals was born in Spain to musician parents. His Father had taught him to play piano, violin and flute by the time he was 4 years old. At Age 11 Casals decided he would play Cello. This would have happened right before Casals' first Jupiter Return in Sagittarius right on his 5th house cusp (music, performance). Jupiter is opposite Casals Moon which is way out-of-bounds at Declination 28 14' 36" N and a singleton in Air. At this time there was right around the time of the big conjunction of Neptune to Pluto in Taurus in the sky. This would have happened in Casals' 10th house and opposed his Mars in Scorpio.

Casals gave his first performance at Age 14 (Saturn opposition in Pisces including the Nodal axis) on Feb. 23, 1891. It's interesting that his progressed Sun was conjunct n.Mercury to the degree in the 5th house of performance. But, N.Mercury was apex of a Yod figure, inconjunct on either side to a sextile of Moon in Gemini & Uranus in Leo. I've heard stories about Casals' terrible stage fright, once his bow slipped out of his hand and into the audience because he was shaking so badly. I wonder if Yods can have something to do with this. There may have been some sort of fear of success related to not wanting to eclipse his Father in career matters. The Father is shown through Capricorn emphasis, Family tradition problems shown through the Yod and the Moon, and nervousness shown through Mercury, Leo, Gemini, and Moon. Certainly with the Capricorn there would have been fear of failure. Once he hurt his hand and had to stop playing for 6 months. He said it was one of the happiest times of his life. Fortunately he probably couldn't do anything else and had to go back to it. He was also an incredible Conductor who gathered together the greatest players of the time every year at his home for the Internationally famous Marlboro Festival.

Casals' major relationships show the Capricorn streak true to form. He was cautious and didn't marry his first partner who was his student. Then he married an American Socialite. Then at Age 80, at a very advanced age, he married another student. This marriage actually lasted until he died at age 96 and was his longest!!

Casals' greatest achievement is his contribution to music, but he is also known for his strong political stance against Franco's regime after the Spanish Civil War struck. Casals refused to perform in Spain until Democracy was reinstated in the country. He never got his wish and lived in exile for the rest of his life. He died in his Mother's birth country of Puerto Rico but he was buried in Spain. This tension is shown very clearly by a t-square aspect in his chart which is due for a repeat transit in a couple of years. Uranus (rebellion) was conjunct Casals' Leo Ascendant and it was apex of a t-square to Pluto (power, resistance) in the 10th House (Government) opposite Mars (discord) in the 4th(homeland). His t-square was in Fixed Signs whereas the transit coming up will be in the Cardinal signs which gives a much different flavor but Casals' planets are placed prominently in angular in his chart. The Uranus-Pluto square was furthered agitated by 135 degree aspects to his Sun in a Thor's Hammer aspect. This is again the Thor's Hammer which I looked at in Hillary Clinton's and John Edward's chart. It shows a strong need to fight for political rights apparently. Saturn in this chart is not in aspect to the t-square but is in the 7th house, also on an angle.
