The French Banker Guy Who Just Tried To Rape the Hotel Maid

Wow, if I saw that a guy had a natal NN, Mars, Sun, Venus type of stellium thingee on the Taurus-Aries cusp which was currently going to be hit by an exact conjunction of Mercury-Venus-Jupiter. And also that the mutual reception of the 2 Planets of Love are in mutual reception with each other both in the natal chart and the transiting chart. I'd say "Party on, Dude!"

And that would be Bad Advice.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn is the head of some global banking thing and was in the lead to win the election for President of France and now all that's pretty much gone because of what he did last week. And that's because he attacked a maid at a fancy hotel he was staying at in New York City. The astrolocality is fascinating. His Sun-Venus Ascendant lines are running right through New York. Not only is that great for a Banker, but it's great for a partier. And so, I also would have looked at that and thought "Party on, Dude."

And, again, that would have totally sucked in the Advice Department.

So, I looked at his progressed chart. There's some serious self-undoing stuff in his 12th House. For one, he's got the sign of Cancer intercepted in there. That means that natal Moon in Aries will play out prominently in the life. Or it just means that his 12th House is extra large and he's going to have to experience a whole lot of that house's influence in his life.

Natal Moon in Aries can have aggression issues if the rest of the chart doesn't balance it out in some way. This guy has Aries North Node conjunct ruler Mars which just focuses more energy in that direction. He's had problems before with his aggressive streak. Some French Guy on TV last night said that his behavior tends to go beyond what is normal for French Men.

The clinker is that the Banker guy is having a progressed New Moon at 4-5 degrees Cancer which is, as I said, intercepted in the 12th house of self undoing. And p.Uranus is at 1 Cancer. You know Uranus had to show up because somebody pulled the Joker Card out of this deck.

New Moons are thought to bring new Beginnings and Uranus promises that it won't turn out as planned.

In addition, this chart is just getting hacked to bits by the outer planet t-squarery from Saturn-Pluto-Uranus as well. It's already tripping off his natal Moon-Lilith in Aries opposition to Neptune in Libra. Yuck. Uranus is on Moon-Lilith. And Saturn is on Neptune in Libra. And they're opposing each other and squaring the progressed New Moon.

Uh oh, 12th house is jail. It's also secret enemies, even if your secret enemy is yourself. I mean, it would be so easy to set this guy up right now.

Wow, famous men need to stay out of hotels these days. Probably all of us do. A couple of months ago I stayed in a Holiday Inn that had 9 security cameras planted in to the ceiling of just one hallway. It was unbelievable.

At least he chose the right profession for his Taurus Sun.

Will Rome Have An Earthquake on May 11?

Italians sure are good at predicting earthquakes. No one believes them. But, that doesn't stop them from trying to save everyone's lives. Remember that guy who almost got thrown in jail a couple of years ago? It's just the weird Uranus energy of earthquakes I guess, why people won't believe. Or maybe it's annoying to have to make plans ahead of time for something that may not happen. But, just think of all the other things that people will believe without questioning. Gossip and Rumor, for example. Everyone believes psychiatrists but their track record sucks when you bother to think about it. People believe the Weather man. People believe Politicians. Actually people just like to complain after the fact that Politicians don't live up to their campaign promises, they probably don't really ever believe them in the first place. People believe Drug Addicts. People trust illegal immigrants with pretty much everything. Most dangerous chemicals. Hotel Room keys. Children. It's amazing. They wouldn't trust any American from the same economic level, that's for sure.

Anyway, there was this incredible Italian seismologist who was both believed and disbelieved. He predicted 3 earthquakes. And then he apparently never told anyone how he did it. Just some story about how he walked on the beach one day and ideas came to him. But, thing is, he said there was something about how the Planets line up with, uh, the Sun and the Moon. And the Earth's crust....

Okay, time for an Interlude, just thinking about Italy and crusty things makes me so hungry:

So, Bendandi was hyper Cardinal. That fits with the Cardinal Sign/Earthquake theory. He possibly had a t-square in his natal chart which included the Sun, Moon and Nodal Axis. That means that he grew up absorbing the tension from his parents' miserable marriage. His Sun 25 Libra is in conjunction with the South Node and Saturn 17 Libra. He also has Mars 10 Libra. Don't have his birth time so don't have his correct Moon placement. Noon places Moon in mid Capricorn. With this Saturn, Venus stuff he could pretty much hear the rumblings in his bones.

But what else? His prediction dates show heavy influence on his natal chart. Bendandi was born during the big psychic conjunction of Pluto to Neptune in Gemini which was occurring around the years that he was born. Pluto is at 11 Gemini and Neptune is is 14 Gemini Rx. He also had Jupiter 1 Gemini. They are opposing Venus 7 Sagittarius and inconjunct a conjunction of Mercury 12 Scorpio to Uranus 11 Scorpio. That's hyper sensitive and intuitive at the same time. Don't try to simulate this at home by yourself. You were born into the wrong time zone.

Also, in the predictions I'm looking at the Sun is opposing major outer planets. It doesn't in Wednesday's earthquake, but the Sun will be squaring Moon in the Morning and the Nodal Axis will be at a key point. I haven't looked up all of his predictions though, just the ones for Italy. The Moon will oppose Neptune-Chiron in Pisces at some point during the day.

Eva Braun's Personal Photos

Life Magazine is reminding us all that they have personal photos of Hitler's mistress, Eva Braun, in their collection:

Braun is doing an Al Jolson in black face imitation. It looks like she was a lot of fun. It also looks like maybe she was a bit bipolar. Apparently, Braun met Hitler when she was 17 in October, 1929. The U.S. Stock Market crashed that month and Eva met Adolph. No further comment needed on that one except to note that transiting Pluto was just hitting Eva's natal 7th House Neptune which squared Nodal Axis. Sort of a tidal wave hitting your marriage partner house. Along came Hitler.

Hitler had a natal conjunction of Neptune-Pluto in his 8th House. I don't know what kind of sexual kinko comes along with that combination, but the two lower octave planets of that conjunction, Venus and Mars are in conjunction as well in his 7th House. He kept Eva sort of cooped up. The German public didn't even know she existed. What a lover boy. Waits until after he's forced to commit suicide because he's killed 6 million Jews and 3 million Catholics in order to pop the question to his lover of 16 years. 40 hours of Wedded Bliss. Wonder if she threw a shower.

He was 23 years her senior and was also messing around with his sister's half daughter who ended up killing herself. Braun then attempted to kill herself a couple of times. Once at Age 20 on Nov. 1, 1932 when she shot herself in the chest. Then she o'd'ed on pills on May 28, 1935. And, as I said, Eva, Age 33, and Hitler, Age 56, died in a mutual suicide 40 hours after they married. She was at that age when the Sun in your Solar Return chart is supposed to complete a cycle and he was just past his secondary Progressed Lunar Return. That is, we hope they died. They may still be alive and well or at least gently embalmed by now in Argentina.

The connections between these two charts is really incredible. Eva's 1st House just plain old did her in in the relationship department. According to Astrotheme she had Venus 9 Capricorn in conjunction with her 5 Capricorn Ascendant. This hooks up with Hitler's Moon-Jupiter conjunction.

Eva's progressed Venus, planet of partners and marriages tells the tale pretty well through the Secondary Progressions. Her first house had Lilith 17 Capricorn, Mercury 29 Capricorn, Uranus 1 Aquarius, Sun 17 Aquarius. She met Hitler when her progressed Venus hit that super strong Uranus in its own sign in her first house. They married and committed suicide when Venus was one degree away from leaving her first house. Her entire life was enveloped in experiencing that 1st House Venus.

Of course, there's way more. But this is creeping me out.

David Cassidy Pleads Not Guilty to DUI

Well, my Blogger account looks really screwed up right now. Do you think that Wikileaks is after me? I do. At any rate, nobody else is. Just googled myself on Alexa website and my popularity is down to something like 770,000. Do they ever congratulate you for that type of thing?

Wow, there's so much software attached to my keyboard that it's almost impossible to type. Oh no, that's my Virus scanner which I turned on due to paranoia about being tracked by Wikileaks.

Anyway, like the U.S. Government, I'm not popular. So I thought I'd go to Yahoo to see who is trending and then figure out why they are trending for whatever they are trending for. And then if I also write about them really quick and publish it my Alexa rating will go up.

Today we have David Cassidy. He's an Aries so he likes to be #1.

Boy, does this take me back. For some reason I can't remember David Cassidy without also remembering my Francie doll. Francie was the total Capricorn. She was like Barbie but with better bone structure and with legs that bent. And, just like a Capricorn, when you bent her knees they creaked. And I remember bending her knees to the song "I think I Love You" as a sort of percussive audience participation thing.

Maybe I've got my boy singers all mixed up. I think that Francie pre-dated David Cassidy. But right now I think he's feeling older than Francie. This is just a temporary thing and it will pass. David's progressed Sun has a few more years to go before leaving the adolescent, Mercurial sign of Gemini.

David probably doesn't realize that he really is old and that the reason why he got caught driving drunk is because he is an old drunk. Reality doesn't interest him. That's why he's an artist. His natal Aries Sun is opposing Neptune in Libra. So, yeah, he likes to drink. So what? Well, right now Saturn is right on top of natal Neptune. Saturn symbolizes Father Time and Old Age. And, like I said, Saturn reminds you that you're old from the knees on up. His teeth might be bugging him. Well, alcohol just eats right through the gums and before you know it, no teeth. Or maybe he has a bad dentist.

And then there's David Cassidy's Moon. You always want to look at the water elements to see why a Dude's filling up. Plus the Moon rules David Cassidy's entire chart. Cassidy's a naturally happy guy. His Aquarius Moon is conjunct natal Jupiter. What an optimist. He just doesn't see why we any of us needs boundaries. Just drink from the spigot, David, it's got less walls than a glass or a bottle.

Jupiter just wants to fill up and up and up. Those cups just overflow, when you're young it's with Love and when you're old it's with Beer and when you're old and rich it's with Chevas. Gawd, you were hot. You still are. You just look gross when you're barfing and swerving all over the road. I would totally not have wanted to watch that sobriety test. I'm sure the cop is still laughing his head off about it. With the current transits and progressions and what not, you've got to be careful. You can't get away with anything.

What's the matter? Did the batteries run down on your police scanner? Or were you just to drunk to notice when it was beeping? Or had you passed out? Well, with your chart ruler being the tidal flowing Moon which is conjunct Jupiter who's just a girl who cain't say no being passed over by transiting rosy colored Neptune conjunct Chiron who always gets caught at everything at the end of Aquarius. You got caught. It's so that you can come back to humanity, Lover Boy, and sing us some new songs. You've forgotten what us minions are doing and you need to come back down to earth. I couldn't throw my Francie Doll away so my Mother did it for me and my heart has been broken ever since. But, enough about me.

I think you can lie your way out of this one. You have Mars in Virgo so you know how to finesse the fine details of reality. You're being asked to sober up by Saturn, however, if only you could get over the relationship problems you had with your Dad and you won't be able to do that. You're older now than he was when he had his first grandchild. If you haven't learned by now. . . well, you had heard enough of that by the time you were two to last you for a lifetime. Be Happy. Put in the old Bobby Mcferrin 8 track and cheer up.

With progressed Mars just passing into Libra and squaring natal Uranus and the transiting Nodal Axis/Pluto conjunction, wow, you really need to be careful while driving, even if you're sober. With that aspect you need to be careful walking. You can thank the Mr.Police Officer for channeling your Daddy complex. He saved your ass. (Nice one that it is). This aspect could do a lot for your sex appeal by the way. That's why you're Number 1 Trending on Yahoo right now.

At this point, you don't even need a Francie Doll. You can use your own knees. (Teehee, I know that's mean and it's dumb).

Polish President Airplane Crash / Katyn Forest Massacre

On April 10 an unbelievable loss of Polish Government Officials. The President of Poland's airplane crashed while trying to land in dense fog at an airport in Smolensk, Russia. All people on board are pronounced dead. The Officials were arriving in Russia to memorialize a tragic event from World War II known as the Katyn Forest Massacre. Around 22,000 lives were lost during this event which occurred mostly in April, 1940 near the vicinity of Katyn. The purpose was to execute all members of the Polish Officer Corps. So, of course, there are major conspiracy theories going on. Poland has only been a Democracy for a short while.

For some reason I haven't been able to figure out from news reports what time the airplane crashed. So I'm not going to look at that right now. Anyways, it seems that there are many great accounts written by astrologers.

I did find some really eerie astrobabble that could add a psychic element to the massacre. Hope that investigations show that this was simply an accident due to what looks like pilot error. I mean, that's a drag for the pilot but the political strife that could follow would be devastating.

Kaczynski has a natal Sun-Uranus conjunction in his first House. Uranus is right on the first degree of Cancer, an Aries Point. 1st House rules the physical body and Sun-Uranus shows sudden, shocking events. I'm not going into long description of what all that means. Thing is, this is filling in the empty leg of the long going current transit of the t-square between Saturn-Uranus and Pluto. As a matter of fact, Pluto, planet of death is exactly conjunct the 8th House cusp in this chart and opposing Sun-Uranus in 1st house of physical body.

Death is shown by the water houses in one way or another and they are all afflicted here. In K's chart, natal Pluto is conjunct the IC from H4. The extra long current Mars transit has had Mars transiting back and forth over K's natal IC. Mars rules K's other house of death, House 12. He had Mars in this house natally conjunct Mercury, ruler of his 1st house of physical body. This is squaring natal Saturn, ruler of H8, major house of death. K's Solar Arc progressions also show a conjunction to the degree of Neptune and Pluto. One is natal and the other SA, can't remember which is which.

I suspect that House 12 rules ghosts. I know that Neptune and Pluto do, and that's where I'm going now.

(Oh, before that I gotta mention Jupiter since Jupiter rules airplanes. Jupiter is placed in the other sign that rules aviation and in the 9th House. It is trining the Mercury-Mars conjunction.)

If I'm understanding Wiki correctly the Katyn Forest Massacre occurred mainly in April, 1940. It began on either Apr. 3 or 4 and continued for 28 days. But, I also read that the Russians continued on through May because they took off work to celebrate May Day.

The document that outlines the ideas behind the Katyn Massacre was dated Mar. 5, 1940. It was apparently signed afterwards, but this date progresses into some interesting stuff.

This shows classic creepy Mercury Retrograde stuff. They say to never sign a document during a Mercury Rx. Things come back to haunt you. Bad Intentions never seem to die, at any rate. The paper was signed while Mercury was at 1 Aries and about to go Retrograde in a few hours. Mercury was extra potent because on the Aries Point and trining the two outer planets that are most difficult to deal with on earthly level. Mercury trine Pluto 1 Leo and opposing Neptune 25 Virgo.

This Mercury is also set off heavily by the current outer planet t-square which is forming off and on currently and be at the Aries Points this Summer.

A Momento Mori from World War II?


The idea to execute all the Polish Officers was dreamed up by a total freak named Lavrentiy Pavlovich Beria. Beria was an Aries so he was having a big Solar Return during this event. This guys sounds totally evil. It is said that he used to drive his car around town and rape women willy nilly. Total abuser.

Beria's progressions are really creepy. Right now his prog. Sun is conjunct prog. Mars within a degree at 25-26 Cancer. His prog. Mars-SAturn and Pluto are in a violent t-square with each other:

This t-square layers right on top of President Kaczynski's ASC-DESC and natal 4th House Pluto!

His North Node is conjunct where Pluto is now. This is conjunct President Kaczynski's 8th House.

Okay, I'm creeped out. I'm also looking at too many charts at once. Hope all info is correct. If we ever get a solid time for the crash it will be interesting to see how any of these point connect up. The reason for the crash is said to be dense fog (Moon in Pisces conjunct Neptune-Chiron in Aquarius). Also pilot error. Maybe this is a case similar to a couple of the runaway Toyota crashes. People stepped on the gas instead of the brake and thought they had been victimized by the brake-accelerator problems that have plagued Toyota Priuses.

Oh, P.S. the airplane was a Cancer and Pluto would be opposing it's Sun and conjunct its natal Uranus-Neptune in Capricorn. Natal Mars is at 21 Aries apex of a t-square to a Jupiter-Saturn opposition. Not the greatest chart for an airplane, imo.

American Student Convicted for Murder of Roommate

I've been ignoring the Amanda Knox case. She's the girl from Seattle who went to study in Italy and has now been convicted, along with two others, for murder of her English roommate Meredith Kerchner. Amanda has been convicted along with her boyfriend at the time, native Italian son of a Doctor, also a student. His name is Raffaele Sollecito. Another man has been convicted as well, Rudy Guede. Guede, I don't believe is a student. He is an African immigrant who very likely had sex with Kerchner before her murder.

It's unclear to me who knew whom in this scenario. The media has been publishing all kinds of bizarre storeis. It's very clear that Amanda Knox's weird behavior after the murder has helped to convict both her and her boyfriend. Knox kept changing her stories.

It's very strange that no one called the police at any time after hearing Meredith's screams and finding the house broken into and blood spattered all over, so there was a cover up. Rude Guede, (the immigrant) says that he was listening to his ipod and didn't hear the scream. He fled to Germany that night. Knox apparently confessed under police pressure and then says that she covered her ears during the scream. The neighbor says she heard it. Knox and her boyfriend were sitting outside the apartment when police happened to show up after finding her and Meredith's cell phones in a neighbor's yard. There's another guy who was taken in and held for two weeks because Knox accused him of having committed the crime. It's difficult to know because Knox may have been too young, she may not have been able to speak Italian very well, she may have really succumbed to the police interrogation.

First of all, this case sounds like nobody in Italy calls the Italian Police for help when it is needed. I traveled through Italy when I was 18 and from what I saw I can understand why nobody would call the Italian Police but that was a really long time ago and figured that things would have changed by now. The murder happened just as Saturn moved into Virgo. Virgo rules the Police and Saturn generally messes up anything that isn't very well organized when it hits the sign of rulership. After watching Nancy Grace the other night to find out what this case was about I heard how the police screwed up on the evidence. Nancy always says that the police screwed up, though. That's why I love Nancy.

Saturn is in detriment in this chart because he was conjunct the Nodal South Node at the time of the murder. That's a real Devil is in the Details aspect so the details are probably where the problem lies. I can't really answer for Amanda Knox's weird behavior except that she's a Cancer Sun like me and we're totally useless in an emergency. George Bush Jr. is a Cancer Sun. Look what he did to a whole country after 9/11.

If you look at the 4 charts of the crime, the 3 who are convicted and the victim, you will notice that it looks a bit like the Victim is the Killer. Meredith had the nasty Mars-Pluto-South Node in Scorpio conjunction. Some astrologers would convict a nun if they saw this aspect. Actually, some nuns ought to be convicted, but, if I go off on that I'll be acting as dopey as Amanda Knox.

Of course, often a victim's chart will look like a killer's chart. There's just some scary propensity for violence indicated here. One could be violent or attract it or become it because of having attracted it. Either way, both roommates had Mars-Pluto aspects. Kercher had the conjunction and Knox has the square. This could certainly have added an additional problem with willfulness which could include rape and murder, sex crimes, dressing up like a vampire because it's the day after Halloween.

On Nov. 1, 2007, the night of the murder (around 11:00 pm? in Perugia, Italy) the Sun and Lilith were both in conjunction with both roommates' natal Plutos. As a matter of fact, the two men involved in the crime had Pluto around the same spot as well.

The event chart shows a more complicated story here as the Sun-Lilith conjunction is squaring a Moon-Chiron opposition. The reason why I looked at the charts in the first place was because I wanted to see if Moon and Chiron were heavily aspected because I believe that these two working together might indicate being falsely accused, or of making false accusations. It certainly is prominently placed in this chart as the Moon-Chiron opposition is conjunct the Asc-Desc of the 11:00 timing of the murder. So, this does describe something related to the murder. Chiron rules Teachers and Wounds that can't be fixed. The Moon rules Women. It also rules Amanda Knox's chart as she is a Cancer Sun with Mercury Rx and Venus in that sign as well. She also has Lilith at 26 Cancer. Transiting Mars was passing between her natal Mercury Rx and her natal Sun at the time of the murder. It is said that she had dressed up as a Vampire for Halloween the night before. This was definitely a good transit for convincingly dressing up as a Vampire. To see if someone is really wigging out you want to see the Moon and maybe Uranus involved. Uranus and Mars were in a Grand Trine with the Sun-Lilith conjunction. This Grand Trine was affecting the Pluto of both women's charts.

Mercury in the event chart is also very prominent. It is conjunct the IC (root of the matter and the home) and it is just stationing direct in the sign of Libra. The moment that Mercury comes out of Retrograde can often indicate a log jam of snafus. (So says Bob Marks). It certainly describes Student Housing, Neighbors, faulty thinking, miscommunications, police error, lies, media lies. It could indicate why Amanda Knox couldn't get her story straight. Don't know why she was doing cartwheels during police interrogation. (She could be heavily affected by all things lunar. Her natal Moon placed at noontime (which probably isn't correct) is moving extremely fast and is placed way out-of-bounds up at 28 degrees and something. Also her chart is a Seesaw shape so she is probably always playing a balancing act, her natal Mercury is Retrograde so she probably doesn't talk straight too much of the time, and she has no Air in her chart, so she's a bit of a space cadet.)

What's interesting is the amount of Cardinal Sign prominence in the charts of those involved. I don't have an explanation for this other than to observe that birds of a feather flock together. Kerchner and Rudy Guede (who she had sex with) were both Capricorns with Sun conjunct Neptune. Amanda Knox is a Cancer Sun with Moon either in Sagittarius or Capricorn. Raffaele Sollecito is an Aries with Moon either in Capricorn or Aquarius. There is the possiblity that all 4 have Cardinal Moon signs as well. As Cardinal Signs tend to be the Starters of the Zodiac maybe what happened is connected with not finishing something.

Knox and Guede both have Aries North Nodes which are Cardinal as well. Sollecito (the boyfriend) has Sun conjunct Amanda's North Node. Bet that's one relationship they both regret having entered into.

Anyway, with the weird stories that people have been giving it would be impossible to know what happened. It looks like the evidence wouldn't convict Amanda Knox if only she hadn't been changing her story every 5 seconds and doing cartwheels during police questioning. But, then again, the Italian Police are said to be a really strange bunch. It looks like Rudy Guede really did have sex with Meredith Kercher and it also looks like Kercher was trying to fight her killer off. So, he's certainly implicated. There is no mention at all of where the other two roommates were at the time of the murder.

Kercher's death is certainly described by that Mars-Pluto-South Node in Scorpio conjunction. My understanding obviously doesn't go much farther than that.

Christopher Hitchens' Lilith, Among Other Things

As I've noted before I'm becoming increasingly fascinated by Lilith's presence in Astrology Charts. This is because of a lecture I heard at NCGR in Denver given by German Astrologer Antonia Langsdorff. And it's because Lilith has been passing over my natal Moon.

Lilith is represented by 3 different points in Astrology at this point. The one I'm interested in is a fictional spot in the Moon's orbital path. There's something about looking at a mathematical spot that's related to the dark side of the Moon's orbit that just seems to be explaining so much to me lately.

You can google Lilith's story from the Ancient Sources if this song doesn't tell you all you need to know. Written history is full of so much oppression of women that it's interesting to look at how characters survive in such circumstances.

Men have Lilith in their charts but they generally don't have to struggle with her as much because they are usually urged to show their "Light" within society. In that end, that is probably what Lilith wants, what with her connection with the Dark and the Night. Men will usually receive help from outside sources which sort of keeps them from having to express their Lilith energy. White Men especially in written history are free of having to look at this side of themselves.

And that is what is fascinating about Christopher Hitchens. For some reason when I read that this Literary Critic and English Intellectual & Narcissist Blowhard wrote an article for Vanity Fair about how Women aren't funny I suspected that there was some kind of suspicious Lilith activity going on in his chart. I've had these conversations with women friends about how, on the whole, women aren't funny. And, after my obsessive year of hanging out in yarn stores I can attest that this is mostly true. But, I have never met a guy who was obnoxious enough to talk about this on his lonesome.

I found the article through Kottke.org which linked to a woman who was criticizing Hitchens' criticism with a really horrible and unfunny article which was total Lilith anger stuff. And I suppose that's why I was so curious to look at Hitchens' Lilith placement.

That's circular thinking for sure, perhaps a Lilith thing?

Hitchens' progressed Mercury is at the end of a Retrograde Session and I think he's running out of material -- either that, or this White Guy is being forced to draw on his own Lilith.... and as I said before that's a very special event in this world....

Anyway, I had to look up Hitchens' Lilith and so the rest of his chart.

Talk about taking a walk on the wild side. Hitchens' Lilith is at 30 Pisces. That's the most creative point in the chart, the last degree of the Zodiac. Not only is this 1 degree away from the Aries Point which means a bringing forth into public eyes, it represents the end and the beginning of the wheel, the birthing point. That's a pretty wild marker to place right at that point in the chart. Lilith won't be held down. Lilith lets go.

Looking at the rest of the chart shows that He probably just wants women to follow along, or at least to keep up. He's got a conjunction of Sun-Mercury-Venus to the North Node in Aries. Aries is known to act and then think, doesn't matter how Intellectual or how English a guy is. Somehow I get the feeling that Hitchens couldn't care less about whether women are funny or not. He was just looking for a topic to write for an article in a magazine.

All kinds of complications ensue because Hitchens was born on the same day as a Total Lunar Eclipse between Aries and Libra. Without a birth time there's no way of knowing whether his Moon is in Libra or Scorpio but if the moon is connected with the South Node then he has a very complicated set of emotional tensions to deal with within himself even without Lilith. If he were born with the Full Moon in his chart it means that he actually has an amped up awareness of others, especially with his Libra Moon. Perhaps this fire and light is an indicator of why he's such a successful critic. He really is aware and is reacting to what he's talking about, not just being analytical.

Hitchens' chart is really interesting non-Lilith-wise for lots of other reasons. First, he's almost all Fire and Air. That's pretty great for an intellectual, critic, writer type. It's also pretty great for a windbag. In the Outer Planet realm, i.e. the slow moving planets that indicate generational trends that a person deals with, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune are in each of the Air Signs. They are not in aspect with each other. Pluto, of course, is in the Fire Sign of Leo.

And there's an exceptional stellium of inner planets conjunct within a 5-point stellium of Aries. These are in conjunction with Hitchens' North Node in Aries. This means that this guy is meant to assert himself in this life as a free speaking (Mercury), free loving (Venus) spirit (Sun, ego).

And something that interests me as far as the progressions go is that he has Mercury combust the Sun. This means that Mercury's energy gets eclipsed by the Sun's heat (ego) which is an interesting aspect for a writer to have to deal with, especially a critic. And it's even more interesting because Mercury has gone retrograde by progression in its own sign of Gemini (Communications) since 1989. Interesting that this year is when Hitchens removed himself from Communist party which would have required a huge shift in thinking and communications, not to mention neighborhoods.

He then began to talk about his Atheism. God doesn't exist.

He is now complaining about how women aren't funny. Interesting the common theme of things falling off of their pedestals with him. A man with all that Aries will have to contend with an abnormal amount of Idealism associated with Fire. He also might not really be able to sit still long enough to listen to a woman tell a joke.

Hitchens' Mercury will turn direct by progression around 2012-13. He's probably a bit burned out right now on all this talkie talk. He may finally be able to write a novel or a screenplay or something that's he's always wanted to do. He is said to have quit his smoking habit but is still a serious drinking problem and no wonder. He may sober up, get a liver transplant, and take on the real reason why people need a God in their lives, and that is to spiritually defend themselves against the allopathic medical profession. Hey, maybe he'll attack the Medical Profession ... no, not at his age. Whew, that Lilith in Pisces, sign of the addictions.

Okay, so back to Lilith. I wrote about the NCGR lecture here which is not the most flattering presentation of these great astrologers. The astrologer I heard was Antonia Langsdorff. I think I commented on how "funny" her presentation was. Odd, she is funny and She is very much a She. I seem to remember that she gave a brief account of how was her toddler daughter was going through a phase of humping the pillows on her Mother's sofa. She had to explain to the daughter why that was not ok (without repressing daughter's Lilith, of course) and she had to explain to her Mother why her daughter was doing that. And the whole story is very Lilith.

The Moon and Venus represent Women in Astrology but I think it's a very interesting thing to look at the darker side of the female character. The asteroids really portray sides of women that women see themselves as. And so there's Lilith. Lilith doesn't kill herself like Bovary and Karenina. Lilith kills her kids.

1850 in San Francisco

Researching for why California enters a Fiscal Crisis today, sending out IOUs to WhoKnowsWhat for Whatevertheydo, I noticed how interesting the year 1850 was in California history. This is the year that San Francisco chartered itself. Because of the Gold Rush suddenly more than 60,000 (white) people were flooding into the city. The events that happened during this year are described here. 1850 is considered the last year of the "Little Ice Age."

San Francisco is an Aries, first City Charter signed on Apr. 15, 1850. This means that San Francisco's Sun is within conjunction of California's natal Saturn, Uranus and Pluto. And Uranus and Pluto were in conjunction with each other at that point. Sort of explains the city's history for Rebellion and Change. During this year alone there were two sets of earthquakes, multiple major fires, all sorts of building and construction and new starts (all that Aries).

And at the end of the year, a Preacher stood up in front of his congregation and announced that there was Sin, terrible Vermin Spirit, in the City. No duh. San Francisco's natal conjunction of Mercury-Sun-Uranus-Pluto in Aries is squaring its Lilith in Capricorn.

(Sort of gives me chills realizing that San Francisco's Big Summer of Love happened in 1967 while there was another conjunction of Uranus to Pluto. This conjunction would have been on or close to San Francisco's Jupiter in Virgo opposition to Neptune in Pisces -- really appropriate.)


1850 is the official ending of the "Little Ice Age." This era peaked between 1645 and 1715 during a time period called the Maunder Minimum. At any rate, just see what happens when you start up a Gold Rush at the end of the Ice Age.

Logging Off - World's Oldest Blogger

This past week the World's Oldest Blogger passed away. Maria Amelia Lopez was 97. On her 95th Birthday Mrs. Lopez' grandson set up a blog for her and it became an online sensation with her takes on Life and the world. Her blog gives her birth information and no surprise Mrs. Lopez was a Capricorn, the sign of old age. To make things just a teensy bit more interesting the Sun is on the Aries Point at 1 Capricorn meaning that Age could play a part in Lopez's ability to come before the public. She found blogging to help her with her loneliness and her illness.

Pluto's passage through Capricorn might confront the problems of old age. There have been several of the Pluto in Gemini generation who found one last moment of productivity through their Blogs while Pluto was passing through Sagittarius and who have recently passed. The Gemini/Sagittarius pole seems very significant in Lopez' chart, along with the Aries Points. A couple of the other bloggers are mentioned at the bottom of this post.

I took a quick look at how the planets were placed at Mrs. Lopez' 95th Birthday to see what might indicate this late success. Without a birth time we can't find the Midheaven which would certainly show a big part of the story.

Solino has that amazing Capricorn Sun. I looked up her chart curious to see how Capricorn and Saturn are placed in her chart. They represent Old Age and I expected them to be prominent. Capricorn as I said already is on the Aries Point which is supposed to mean that a person will come before the public. I never really believe that until I see this kind of thing. Saturn is at 14 Taurus Rx in Solino's natal chart and opposing Venus in Scorpio. She would have been shrewd and have had a reserve of energy which perhaps can hold out for a longer life.

Astrologers often say that Capricorn is associated with a late success in life. I have no idea if that is true or not. Solino was born with Mercury and Mars Retrograde in her chart. I don't think that has anything to do with a late success but I'm going to mention it here anyway. Both planets stationed direct while she was still young so I don't think this is important.

So, now for the Return Charts, really fun and possibly insightful. I looked up the Solar Return Chart for Lopez' 95th Birthday and mined some other significant Returns that were going on at the same time and could possibly indicate her new vocation.

Lopez' natal Sun is conjunct Mercury in Capricorn and opposing Pluto in Gemini. This shows a highly communicative person with higher than average intelligence which has deep insights into her generation. Her communications about relationships would be particularly shrewd. I don't understand Spanish so I can't read her blog but in the introduction she cracks a joke about how her Grandson is cheap for only setting up her blog for her on her birthday. That's Plutonian sense of humor.

First off, there was the Solar Return on the Aries Point in Capricorn. An older person coming before the public.

This also happens to the be the year that Lopez was going through a Pluto opposition from the signs of Gemini (natal) to Sagittarius (Transit). Most people don't make it to their Pluto opposition so this is a difficult transit to interpret. Gemini and Sagittarius rule Writing/Communication and Publishing/International Affairs/Opinions, respectively. The Pluto Opposition is also part of Lopez's Solar Return transit as her natal Pluto is opposing natal Sun and Mercury out of sign in Capricorn. Just for extra kickers, Mercury is conjunct Pluto in the Solar Return(transit) chart.

And to even further the punch, the Moon was in Capricorn and was enhancing the energy. Lunar Returns happen once a month which is very common. But, you've got to look at the Moon because it represents the Public and Emotional Reactions, something that I suppose a blogger wants. I've been finding the Moon to be important in blog popularity, at any rate in the few instances where I've looked). Without a birth time I can't say anything about her Moon placement (except that it may have been aspecting her natal Uranus-Neptune opposition which squares her North Node. That's a strong generational aspect which hooks into her personal destiny, but as I say, I can't say much about that.

Last but not least is the final Return that I noticed for this Birthday. As a matter of fact this would be most significant. Lopez's natal Jupiter in Sagittarius was going through a Return. Jupiter here is in its own sign and, as already stated, Sagittarius is the sign of Publishing, International Affairs, Opinions. Jupiter is also the planet of Luck.

One more thing I found that's interesting is in regards to Progressions in this chart. I've mentioned earlier that Lopez's natal chart has Retrograde Mercury and Mars. Both of these planets are making major hits in her chart while she is writing her blog. Progressed Mars is now conjunct her natal Pluto. Mars represents young men and it was her 35 year old grandson (that's not particularly young, am speaking from a 95 year old woman's point of view). Also, progressed Mercury (writing, communication, blogging) is at 26 Aries and is 2 degrees away from conjunction with the North Node in Aries (Destiny). Interesting how Aries disposits to Mars, which once again points to her Grandson as motivator in her life somehow.

So, after writing this I found that Lopez is one of a handful of amazing "Oldest Bloggers." There's a whole blog about them. Listed below are their names and birth dates (hopefully correct).

Happy Belated Bobmas to Ravelry!!

An insane amount of my time has been spent on a Knitting Website Community called Ravelry. I've been staying up until 2 am compulsively looking at 300 versions of how knitters have made a certain sweater pattern, or at what 2000 knitters have made with one skein of yarn. You can read their notes and thoughts about each project. Knitters take incredible care in giving very generous help with other knitters who can't get their SSP's and Knit2Tog's straight. I don't know, I'm still trying to figure out how to hold the yarn.

At any rate, Ravelry is celebrating its 2d Birthday and the home page has been sporting a celebretory video featuring the Website mascot and amazing Black & White Beast Dog named Bob. The owner/creator of the website Jess/"Frecklegirl" and her husband Casey and the other Ravelry crew celebrate the Moment of coming up with the Idea with an annual "Bobmas" named, of course, after Bob.

It's just too great that they know the date for this because the Astrology is really incredible.

Talk about Wildfire! The Sun (Creative Expression) was conjunct Venus (Arts) and the North Node (Destiny) in Aries. This was squaring Saturn in Cancer (Practicality and Building anything having to do with Home and Comfort and Nurturing).

A Sun-Venus-NN conjunction shows great creativity and popularity and a desire to create beautiful things and the aspect to Saturn shows the practical drive and hard work needed to bring it forth into reality. This chart also has a conjunction of Mars to Neptune in Aquarius which is another great creative aspect, especially in relation to anything having to do with the Internet.

This was about as fortuitous a moment for making this announcement as she could have chosen. Mercury (Announcements) stationed Direct that day at 2 Aries. The Aries Point of the chart is great for anything having to do with success in the world. The Astrology is just incredible!

Secondly, the Sun-Venus-NN conjunction, was further highlighted by an Eclipse Series. Frecklegirl had her Revelation sandwiched between a Solar Eclipse on Apr. 8 and a Lunar Eclipse on Apr. 24. That's practically Biblical! This means that the Moon was first in conjunction with the Sun-Venus-NN conjunction and then was in Opposition to it.

If the Birthdate given on Frecklegirl's profile is correct then she would be a Libra Sun and her Solar Return in 2005 would also have been sandwiched between a set of Solar-Lunar Eclipses! What better energy to bring people together than a strong Aries/Libra Eclipse Series. The only time I've ever really seen the Eclipses work their magic is in bringing forth great creative ventures, especially when they hook in to a person's Solar Return chart the way they do here.

Thirdly, this chart has two Grand Trines (Fire and Air). These are very positive for successful ventures. The grand trines are almost set out in a Star of David formation in the chart. If anything, Frecklegirl/Jess and Casey have to be aware that the success might be too much for them and they need to ask for help at the proper moments in order to maintain the momentum. Scorpio is Rising in this chart and chart ruler Pluto is in the 2d House (money) trining the Sun-Venus in the 6th House of Crafts and Leo (Arts) Midheaven (How the World Views the Matter). The Mars-Neptune conjunction is conjunct the IC, or opposite side of the Midheaven and is in an unbelievably positive trine to Juipter in Libra and the Moon in Gemini.

I wonder what Bob's sign is. He's some sort of breed, black and white and he has Marty Feldman eyes and is full of charm. I suspect he's maybe an Aries Moon. He just looks very inspired.

There's only one other successful website that I've looked at the astrology of and that one is also run by a Libra Sun, Jason Kottke. It's one of the oldest blogs on the web at this point, Kottke.org. I can't remember the astrology but it also was stand-out.

Man on a Wire - Philippe Petit

Someone requested that I take a look at the chart of Philippe Petit, the French American high wire artist who walked on a cable that was linked the Twin Towers in New York in 1974. This turns out to be quite a great story to look at just before a Leo Eclipse in order to get an idea of the positive influence that this energy can vibrate.

Petit performed his act on Aug. 7, 1974. That's a Leo Act. He is a Leo himself who was about to celebrate his 25th Birthday. He literally danced on top of the wire and at one point was lying down on it talking to a seagull. The economy right now has descended into a Recession same as it was back in 1974. Petit's daring seems to have distracted people's attention. It is interesting to see how this Leo energy brings Lyricism to Darkness and Loss. We need to remember the free spirit that can soar from our culture as well as the selfishness and greed. You just lost your house? Go dance in the sky.

The following quote describes this better than I can:

"New York was, is, unique, and at the time had the chemistry to receive the walk fully," Mr. Petit said, pointing to the "strike of garbage" and the crime level that could make a wire walk a welcome distraction. Nationally, of course, a besieged President Nixon would announce his resignation the next night. Right off we see that both Performer and Event shared the same fire Sun and Moons. They both also share a firey trine between their Suns and North Nodes.

Rex Bills doesn't give a rulership for Tightrope Walkers. Mars is given rulership for Wire. It also rules Daredevils. And it's interesting that Mars was in Virgo in the 1st House for the length of Petit's walk. Mars is very prominently placed in the chart otherwise. Its only aspect is an almost exact square to Neptune (H4, Sagittarius). Petit has the square between these two planets in his natal chart as well. Mars here is a singleton in Earth, which is kind of an odd placement considering the nature of the event which takes place completely off the earth. Mars was just crossing the Ascendant around 8 am when Petit was forced to dance off the wire by the police. Mars and Virgo represent Police, probably a good detail to know about for the
next event.

Back on July 11, 2007 I wrote a blog post about Larry Walters who rode a lawn chair tied to a bunch of balloons over Los Angeles back in 1982. He was an Aries born in 1949, same year as Philippe Petit. (Blog called "Up Up and Away"). Those Aries North Node people are some crazy amazing folks keeping the rest of us alive.

It's also interesting that Petit has a Fire Sun in Leo and Moon in Aries. You'd need that level of enthusiasm and risk taking in order to walk out onto a wire above the street in the kind of gusts that up at an elevation that high. I remember how windy it is up at the top of the Empire State Building. I had to go back inside. I have a very strong Saturn and don't handle scary challenges very well.

I had to see what Saturn was doing in the event chart for this walk. Saturn was in Libra tucked away from the angles in the 11th House (ruler of Skyscrapers). At 7:15 am, the beginning time o the walk, Saturn's sign, Capricorn, was intercepted in the 5th House of Risk. So Saturn didn't legitimately rule any of the Houses. Caution was thrown to the winds, so to
speak. It also sounds like the event was very well planned which is actually a Saturnian gift. Natally Petit has Mercury conjunct Saturn to the degree in Virgo which is sextiling Uranus. So he definitely has the precision of mind to engineer a feat like this. Don't do this on your own at home.

As a side note I'm going to point out an interesting coincidence. My first writing teacher was an Aries Sun with Leo Moon. She actually taught the class while sitting next to a collage she had made of a tight rope walker. She said this image most explained how she viewed her life. The only rule in the class was that we couldn't comment on or edit each other's work, we could only thank each other for creating it. I'm finding that Aries & Leo know how to face fear in the most realistic manner. They see it as just part of the process of committing an act rather than something that should just be ignored or overcome.

I was going to look at 25 year cycles as this was Petit's 25th Solar Return but the only thing I've found so far is something about Sardines and Anchovies and ocean temperatures. Petit would have been between his Second Jupiter Return at the end of Capricorn and his first Chiron opposition. That's pretty interesting imagery for Chiron since Chiron is considered a "Bridge" between Saturn and Uranus energies. But, the actually transits look way off from these Returns. Chiron was conjunct his North node and Neptune was conjunct his natal Chiron.

In the article linked to above someone asked Petit about why he went ahead and walked the Towers illegally. He said that he loved the "Joy of Trespassing." Trespassing is ruled by Uranus. Interesting that Uranus actually rules all thing Wireless (along with Mercury, Jupiter).

A new documentary has come out which is about Petit called Man on Wire. Here's a review from NPR. What a cool guy. Thanks to the person who suggested this subject.

The Unabomber and His Big Brother

Today on NPR I heard a smidgin of an interview with Ted Kaczynski's brother David. I had to turn it off it was so disturbing. Ted Kaczynski, of course, is the Unabomber and he is serving a life sentence in jail for killing and terrorizing people for years mostly by sending bombs in the mail. (He's a Gemini).

Ted Kaczynski's brother ended up turning him in. That would be a very difficult thing to do and he seems to really be struggling with his actions (David is, don't know about Ted). I was struck by this interview because David Kaczynski was being interviewed along with one of his brother's victims. They are now so close they are almost consider themselves to be like brothers. This sort of creeped me out. I started to wonder what kind of passive games this guy had played on his younger brother growing up which could have contributed to Ted Kaczynski's frail mental status. Perhaps because I have an older brother myself I was just really disturbed by the power tripping.

After a listener called in saying that he had been one of Ted's victims and he was wondering what David Kaczynski had done with the 1 Million Dollar Reward for turning his brother in. Wikipedia says that he has given some away to some of the victims and that the amount was only $500,000. David K. didn't really have an honest or clear answer about where the money had gone. That's when I turned the show off.

I seem to remember that multitudes of articles were written by Astrologers about the Unabomber back in the 90s so I'm probably not figuring out anything new here, I'm just seeing it in my own time and through my own warped personal experiences with siblings. David Kaczynski has the same birthday as my ex-step-sister who played some weird power trippy games of her own so he is automatically suspect in my head. I just think it's so weird the lack of awareness he shows for his brother. There is absolutely no caring which is probably not that odd for being related to a difficult person. But David doesn't seem to let go of his brother's problems either. He also never tells us anything about how Ted is doing now, maybe they got around to that after I switched off the show. Now he's using celebrity to show off his replacement brother who is one of the victims? Yuck.

Everything about Ted seems Geminian. Mathematician, Brainiac, Schizophrenic, Mail Bomber, Older Brother who wants his limelight. He's got a real heavy duty load of planets in that sign and they all disposit to that sign's ruler, Mercury:

• Sun is conjunct both Uranus and Saturn in a very tight 1 degree conjunction on the first two degrees of Gemini.
  
• Mercury is conjunct Jupiter in Gemini at the end of Gemini.
• And all of these planets are in major aspect to Neptune in Virgo, also ruled by Mercury.
• Mercury is in its own sign of Gemini and it's out-of-bounds at 25 degrees and 05 seconds which makes the Gemini influence super strong.
  

According to the Wikipedia article Kaczynski seemed normal until he was skipped through 6th grade and he couldn't relate to the older kids in the 7th grade. By coincidence, his progressed Mercury had gone Retrograde right around his 10th birthday (May 7-8, 1951) which would have been 1 or 2 years before. This may indicate a difficult experience through early education when it happens to children at that age, I talked about it in a different way in Oliver Sacks' chart a couple of months ago.

Kazynski has a total of 3 out-of-bound planets in his chart. In addition to Mercury, Mars and Pluto are also at high declinations. Mars in this chart placed in the sign of Cancer a naturally difficult and volatile placement that combines aggression and emotions. Pluto is in Leo, emphasizing theatricality and a desire to take the lead. The Unabomber attacks began right after Kazcynski's progressed Mars had passed over natal Pluto. This would have happened at 5 Leo about September, 1972. Kacczynski seems to have become more and more isolated which can be a Mars-Pluto aspect.

What's interesting here is that older brother David has the Mars-Pluto conjunction in Leo in his natal chart. It is sextile in David's chart to natal Sun-Mercury Rx-Neptune-south Node in Libra. He seems to be, in my opinion, projecting (Libra) way too much of his own aggressions onto the misdeeds of his brother. The connection with the South Node shows that he really identifies with this as part of his life destiny. I do remember Komilla Sutton saying that Sun-South Node conjunctions are among the most difficult Nodal contacts. It combines one's Ego/Creative Will with the qualities that one may most need to keep under control (I'm probably not quoting her properly, read her book or buy her CDs from UAC, she's wonderful). What bothers me is that he shows much more compassion to his brother's victims than to his brother.

David Kaczynski seems to have an unnatural connection between his Ego (Sun), his Mentally Ill brother (Merc. Rx c. Neptune) and Victims (Neptune). He has replaced his defective brother, a criminal who is in jail, with a brother replacement, one of his brother's victims. His Mars-Pluto in Leo conjunction squares his Venus in Scorpio which sort of could indicate that he really is vengeful over jealousies about his brilliant brother. One can also read this as meaning that he was the "heavy" the "Transformer" who had to take on the huge karmic act of turning in his own brother. It's just odd that he's turning the screws in his brother's back the way he is. He turned his brother in and received the award for doing so just as his progressed Sun & Mercury was passing over Venus in Scorpio and squaring Mars-Pluto. It's interesting that his Progressed Sun has been in conjunction with his progressed Mercury (siblings) through all of this.

Also interesting to watch is Ted Kaczynski's Venus. Natally it is as 19 Aries. In 1996 when he was arrested, his progressed Venus was conjunct his natal Mercury. Again, Mercury rules siblings and Venus is the ruler of Libra, his brother's sign.

Patti LuPone's Excellent Saturn Returns

Patti LuPone won her Second Tony Award at last night's Ceremony for her acting in Gypsy. She won her First Tony Award for her portrayal of Evita back in 1980. Last night, as she was giving her acceptance speech the band started to play and she told them to stop, "I only get to do this every 29 years!"

29 years? Saturn Return? Patti LuPone gets to win a Tony during her Saturn Returns. That must be some nicely placed planet.

Lupone's natal Saturn is placed at 30 Leo in her chart. Leo is the sign of the actress so her Saturn likes her chosen profession.

Lupone's also got a really amazing stellium at the end of Aries and beginning of Taurus that trines her Saturn. This includes all of her personal planets except the Moon which are clumped around her North Node in Aries and Taurus Sun. This is a very special set-up because both Venus and Mars are in their own signs and they rule her Nodal Axis. Uranus is also apex of a small triangle to Saturn trine Venus. So, when she goes through her Saturn Return as she just did last year and as when she did during her performance of Evita, she really rocks at all things Leo. Transiting Jupiter was right at the spot where Saturn is now back in 1980.

I was sort of interested to try to understand if there was some kind of indicator that she would win for portraying strong female types. It would be great to check her Lilith placements but I didn't get around to that. What I did notice is that LuPone has natal out-of-bounds Pluto at 15 Leo in a square with Venus and possibly opposing her Moon. Transiting Saturn would hit that right around the time that she would be selected for these parts. And a Saturn-Pluto-Venus-possibly Moon t-square is a very strong aspect for a woman to have. It's also a stressful aspect so it's nice to see that super fortunate Saturn trine following up right after.

It's useful to understand that the way the chart unfolds is as important to interpret as the single placements themselves. A stressful aspect that's followed up by another stressful aspect makes for a much more difficult life than a stressful aspect that comes before a very rewarding aspect.

Man, next life, I'm going to have a Venus in Taurus too. I've got a Venus in Virgo squaring Gemini Rising. I croak like a frog. Okay, Gemini Rising, I sing like 2 out of tune, hypercritical frogs. James Byrd, Jr. and Jesse Jackson

Today's News has an article that looks back on a racial beating/murder that happened in Jasper, Texas 10 years ago. 3 White Guys picked up a Black Man in their Ford Truck, chained him down, beat him, maybe slit his throat, then dragged him by the ankle for 3 miles while his body parts tore off, one by one. The Victim's name was James Byrd, Jr. The murderers have been put in jail, two are on death row. Their names are John William King, Lawrence Russell Brewer, Shawn Allen Berry. I can find Mr. Byrd's birth date but I can't find the birth dates of the murderers. Why is that?

I was hoping this would be a simple post about how awful Chiron Returns are because James Byrd, Jr. was 49 years old at the time that he died. It certainly is a lesson about Chiron but not the Return. Natally Byrd's Chiron is in Sagittarius and Chiron was still in Scorpio at the time of his Murder.

Chiron's presence, however, is very strong in both event and natal charts. It is conjunct the Moon on the day of the murder, to the degree at 3 am. Byrd's natal Chiron was being hit by a Pluto conjunction (within a degree) which was squaring the Nodal Axis. Chiron is opposite Mercury in Gemini in Byrd's natal chart. Without a birth time I don't have a placement for the Moon and Angles in Byrd's chart, but, this is the only Opposition in Byrd's Chart. As oppositions encourage a person to learn balance, relationships and how to play opposite others, this may have been a problem for Byrd in his life otherwise. The influence of this opposition certainly begins to stand out in his life.

I just wrote a blog where I talked, or rather rambled incoherently, about a researcher who has found that language differences may be the root of racist tendencies. I equated this with Gemini influences in the chart. And I have no idea how the influence works. It seems to work in good, bad, and ugly ways in only the way that Gemini can. At any rate, Chiron is the Wound and the Teacher and Mercury is placed in Byrd's natal chart in its own sign of Gemini so it's interesting that lasting lessons through Racism are a gift that Mr. Byrd passed on. His Siblings (Gemini) set up a Foundation for Racial Healing (Chiron) and today's articles say that conditions in the town are improved (Although I read on that there has since been another similar incident).

By coincidence, the Murder occurred while the Sun was in Gemini conjunct Mercury and Mars. The conjunction had cycled past Byrd's natal Mercury but these 3 planets were parallel to each other at 22 degrees plus declination. Byrd's natal Mercury is parallel these planets as well. Guess that shows some kind of relationship.

The transits show an uneven triangle shape (Trine-Square-Inconjunct, can't remember the name and I'm too lazy to look it up, sorry). The Sun-Mercury-Mars conjunction was was inconjunct the Moon-Chiron in Scorpio conjunction and trining Uranus in Aquarius. This is a violent combination. The murderers had been out most of the night driving around and knocking down their neighbor's mailboxes for the Hell of it. The chain that was used to drag Mr. Byrd was originally intended to pull mailboxes out of the ground. Well, along with a few other choice words, pulling mailboxes out of the ground certainly could be one of the less noble Mars-Mercury in Gemini manifestations. So is I guess picking up a man who is walking home from a baby shower, I guess.

Byrd's chart was really getting pounded by the outer planets as well. Everyone his age was going through these but these planets were hitting his personal planets so affecting him personally. For one, T.Neptune was conjunct natal Jupiter in Aquarius. This squares his natal Mars and certainly could show bad judgment. Byrd had problems with drugs . Another aspect, Uranus was opposing natal Pluto in Leo. This opposition squares his natal Sun-Venus conjunction. That's a major violent aspect.

One part of the newspaper story really struck me and that was how his family reacted. His siblings, either brother or sister or both, has since set up the James Byrd Foundation for Racial Healing. This, of course, would be the Chiron/Mercury influence. Those Pluto aspects, especially the conjunction of t.Pluto to n.Chiron shows Fame through the Death, and use of the Death to further healing in the environment and through the siblings (opposition to Mercury in Gemini).

What I didn't get while I read this was, why did they turn around and do this? With all that fear and rage that they must have been feeling, how did they not only show forgiveness but manage to organize such a thing? The answer, at least in part, was:

So, this guy. I've always been kind of critical of Jackson. He's been so grumpy and firey lately and he sort of shows disrespect to others. But, no wonder. Jackson immediately went down to the community and gave the sermon at Byrd's funeral. He's been acting as a buffer for when all these psychotic, senseless crimes happen. He's been personally witnessing and trying to change these incredibly hurt people to keep them from getting revenge.

Most of Jackson's planets are on the right side of his chart showing that he's mostly influenced by others. He is also a Libra Sun so this is his natural expressive tendency.

The rest of the indicators that I'm looking at show how he can and will confront really difficult situations. This is a person who wants to confront the problems in the world.

His chart ruler is Saturn which is placed in the 4th house of family and environment. This shows that he comes from a background of poverty. His Saturn is conjunct his Moon and Uranus which brings in community and caring, a struggle to build a bridge between the past and the future. The Moon and Saturn in practical and kind Taurus will find a need and fill it. He's literally been building and rebuilding the community. And Taurus is a stubborn sign.

This Moon-Saturn-Uranus conjunction finds a lot of expression in the chart through strong aspect patterns with other planets. It is part of a Grand Trine to Jackson's Capricorn ASC and his Neptune in Virgo. Uranus is also part of a Mystic Rectangle opposing Venus in Scorpio and sextile/trine Pluto in Leo and Capricorn ASC. The conjunction also trines his North Node.

And there are indicators of struggles in personal relationships with Pluto in the 7th House. Pluto can force one to see into conspiracies, that's for sure. But with the Capricorn Rising there is wisdom to want to seek alternatives to Plutonian problems like revenge and deep rage.

Jackson's chart is my second find of a Sun-Mars Rx opposition. He was born under what I've been calling a Mars Synodic Year. (I now think that isn't a real term, or the proper term, but if I've made mistakes with that I'm leaving them because they seem to give some valuable information, at least for now). The other chart with this aspect was Mark Zuckerberg's, the kid who built Facebook while barely out of the crib. I thought that perhaps it showed a tendency for early success as Mars is related to Youth. Jackson has been driven from early on as well. There's is a strong identity with youth and forcefulness and how to handle forcefulness. It would be a perfect aspect for a Civil Rights Activist.

Jackson's Mars Rx is interesting to watch with regards to the Progressions. Natally, Mars is in Aries, the sign that it rules. With Mars opposing the Libra Sun, one can see a very primal need to lead others into better relationship with each other. Maybe also a problem with being a push-me-pull- you. Jackson's progressed Mars went direct in April, 1974. He took on more and more leadership roles in the Civil Rights Movement and then in Government roles. He ran for the Presidency twice and working as a "Shadow Senator" in Washington DC. (Don't know what that means).

This year, Jackson's Mars has returned to his Birth degree. This is extremely interesting as the United States may elect its first African American President. The thing which Jackson has worked so hard for has a very good chance of manifesting.

Scott, we now know, Is Disgruntled

The headlines of the San Jose Mercury News use part of a quote by a White House Staff in describing ex-Bush Aida, Scott McClellan. It says "This is not the Scott We Knew." Wow. This is like something you say about a 3 year old or a person you've just had locked up in a Mental Hospital. McClellan is the former Bush Aide who has written a memoir about the experience which is said to not be very flattering to the President.

The entire quote that the White House released is:

"Scott, we now know, is disgruntled about his experience at the White House. We are puzzled. It is sad. This is not the Scott we knew."<sup>[8]

Is the White House Staff sad over this? Someone -- please get the Kleenex.

Scott is one of those 60s babies with the Uranus-Pluto conjunction still in Virgo. Eric Francis caught a great interview with Donna Cunningham about these people and what they are going through transit-wise on his Planet Waves blog here: http://planetwaves.net/pagetwo/category/uac/.

McClellan's Uranus-Pluto conjunction is opposing a conjunction of Mars and Chiron in Pisces. This is a fairly willful combination that won't have a problem with rebellion, could also be considered a traitor/defector in some situations. McClellan was told to go before the World and lie for the sake of President Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove and Scotter Libby during the Valerie Plame/CIA Leak, he Pluto was just moving into its square with his opposition.

The Pluto Square is much different for the Pluto in Virgo generation than it was for the previous generations as it comes so much earlier in life. Pluto represents crises but also a desire to transform. This is the first generation to have grown up in Divorced families en masse so the generation was literally branded for mutability early on in life. The mid-60s people have Pluto conjunct Uranus.

McClellan made his Speech/Lie on Oct. 10, 2003. His Sun had progressed to 1 Aries, the spot where transiting Pluto is now. He is publishing his memoir of working for the Bush Administration and is, in my opinion, empowering not only himself by coming clean, but empowering (and cleansing, don't forget it's Virgo, first things first) the Nation.

Transiting Uranus was also in strong aspect in his chart. It was passing over his natal Sun-Mercury Rx conjunction in its own sign of Aquarius. This man has been due to create some shock waves.

Funny, I was just thinking yesterday how some world leader needs to call Bush up and say, "Mr. Bush, Tear Down That Wall." Perhaps here my wish is fulfilled.

Attack of the Bigot Babies

According to an article over at Jason Kottke's blog (kottke.org),, Baby Researcher, Elizabeth Spelke, is finding that early on in life babies show a preference for people who speak their own language. This seems to be the strongest determinant for a baby's likes and dislikes in people at that age. The Researchers are saying that this language preference might be more at the root of Prejudices in people than visual factors like skin color.

Astrologically this means there might be some sort of a link with the sign of Gemini, 3d house, and the Mercury rulership. The Gemini traits seem to be the reason why humans see themselves as more intelligent than the other beasts: we can speak and we can use our opposable thumbs to build things (some of us can even knit with our opposable thumbs although I'm not one of them).

Since some of the Gemini Sun charts I've studied on this blog have been heavily involved in problems concerning Racism, like Paul Rusesabagena (the Hotel Rwanda Saint) and Geronimo (the Apache Hero) I tend to think that there might really be some connection between Bigotry and Gemini, but not necessarily on the wrong end of the thinking. Gemini is meant to observe and then communicate, sometimes there can be a complaint that there's not more factored in, no sensitivity or diplomacy.

On the other hand, in the spiritual sense, Gemini would be the first to be able to sit on both sides of the fence at the same time. At UAC, I attended a lecture with Karen Hamaker-Zondag who gave a really incredible lecture on the meaning behind the Eye of Horus in Ancient Egyptian Mythology which factored in the spiritual side of Gemini. (I was hoping to share what she said but I'm pretty certain I may butcher it, buy the CD.)

Very fascinating that Elizabeth Spelke, the researcher who is studying the babies has a very strong Gemini emphasis in her chart. Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus & Uranus all in Gemini. And Mercury is Retrograde!

Rex Bills doesn't offer a rulership for Racism & Bigotry. Last year a lot of questions were raised while Jupiter and Pluto were passing through Gemini's opposing sign of Sagittarius, the sign of Opinions. I've since seen that sign attributed to bigotry. Sagittarians are certainly very opinionated and outspoken and like to ruffle feathers, but this sign also rules higher Education and International Affairs. IThe sign is interested in knowing what and who is out there than to set up the types of barriers that come with Bigotry.

One might also want to suppose that signs related to Conservativism, Security and Boundaries might have something to do with this. The first signs of the Zodiac might be more inclined as they are connected with growth of the inner self rather than development of the social whole.

So, back to the babies. I wonder if it's not very important to attend to a baby's preferences and perhaps fears concerning these social factors very early in life. The first Return a Baby experiences is the Lunar Return and the next one will be the Mercury Return. These will be his/her first self identifying "events" from an astrological point of view. I seem to remember that Spelke's research shows that this preference might be innate. Her research shows that it is showing up as early as 3 months. Her findings are controversial as of now. Everyone knows that babies are sweet and innocent.

Also interesting is the amount of software we are born with already loaded. (Too bad no warranties). We are born with all kinds of math skills. According to researcher Dr. Koleen McCrink, who works with Dr. Spelke, when we are born....

"We have got core systems for understanding the world,' which are not shaped by learning. What is striking, McCrink says, is how formal mathematics is such a slog. 'Babies can do all this complicated stuff, and yet it takes years to teach kids how to add and subtract precisely. It is so frustrating.'

Dr. Spelke's birth information is below. As I said already she's got Sun and Moon in Gemini along with Mercury, Venus and Uranus. And the Mercury Retrograde in Gemini must have a really interesting story in her life. It is in Gemini it is in its own rulership and is dispositor of the chart. Her Aries North Node seems such an excellent study for someone who works with babies. It's the Birth Point of the Zodiac.

Gene Simmon's Tongue

This is not in keeping with my promise to myself that I won't discuss people I don't like or can't stand but I'm going to attempt herewith to explain why the Hell Kiss Rocker Gene Simmons has such a God-Damned long tongue. He just stuck that thing out on some TV show I was watching the other night and I had nightmares all night (not all were necessarily bad nightmare either which is even scarier).

Wow, at first look it's kind of difficult to explain this. The guy is a double Virgo. He actually has 5 planets in the 6th House (Virgo's House) as well. I've read that Earth Signs have a strong liking for Rock Music so I suppose this fits well with his profession, but let's face it, if Simmons came to you for a reading you'd tell him to go into computers. I've seen Astrologers do this to the poor Double Virgos many a time. The Virgo also suggests an insecure, perhaps cold nature with loveability issues. Business and making money is probably much easier for him, he probably sees things in terms of their marketability long before he sees them for their loveability. (I can't spell loveability, is it even a real word, oh well, p. Venus Rx, what do I know?)

Simmon's chart shape is difficult to determine. All the planets are held within a wide bowl shape bounded by Uranus in Cancer and Jupiter in Capricorn. But, the rest of his planets are contained down in the lower right hand side of the chart between the IC/Uranus and Neptune/DESC with Jupiter acting maybe as a Handle to all this energy up in the 10th House in Capricorn/Career/Parents. Rock Star Introvert with cruddy childhood hiding behind that outfit, interesting.

So, now, what about that tongue? According to Rex Bills, the Tongue is ruled by Venus and Mercury. Venus in Simmons chart is in its own sign of Libra, not of Taurus. It is conjunct the South Node and Descendant. Probably some creepy past life story about how his tongue was cut out in a previous life. Bleh. Simmon's Mercury is in Virgo conjunct his Moon in the 6th House. Gawd, I'm getting another bad past life image of Simmon's as a cow getting his tongue cut out while still alive. Could also have been a woman being silenced into servitude.

Enough about Past Life visions. I don't indulge myself often in these, only for Rock Stars because they're sort of asking for it.

The Ascendant rules the person's appearance. Here it is Aries with a conjunction from the North Node and Lilith. There's going to be aggressiveness, even rudeness and vengefulness, but a whole lot of energy to the physical body. The Midheaven rules what a person is known for. Here it is represented by Capricorn, sign of ambition, Father, God and the Devil. Purty dang good for the Astrobabble, huh? Simmons is known as a "Tongue wagging demon." (There are kind interpretations for these aspects as well, but we're looking for an explanation for that thing that hangs out of Gene Simmon's mouth).

I think the tongue question begins to find an answer through Jupiter as Jupiter rules Largeness in Size. Jupiter is up there in the 10th house which shows what you're known for. Who cared what Simmons was singing? People don't pay all that money to listen to I-V-I chord progressions all night, after all. Jupiter's influence here is magnified by it's opposition to the chart ruler, Mars in Cancer. This brings a great ability for exaggeration and flamboyance. He pushes the limits in his behavior. The Discerning Virgo planets really know how to channel this stuff.

I checked Rex Bills for what might rule Length. He gives "lengthening" to Uranus in parenthesis, almost as if he knew that Gene Simmons would show up someday. Uranus is opposing Simmons' Midheaven (again, what you're known for). Uranus squares Simmons' Ascendant (appearance) and also squares his Nodal Axis-Descendant and Venus & Neptune. It's almost as if the weirder he acts the more alluring he is. It would make sense if a person who has a strong connection between the Rising Sign and the Nodal Axis can make it through life fairly easily just through their personality.

So, did Simmons have Plastic Surgery on that thing or what? Well, Mars rules Surgery and it rules the Ascendant. I assume that Pluto rules Plastic Surgery and Simmons' Pluto trines his Ascendant. So, the indicators are there for a successful surgery at any rate. With Mars in Cancer in the 4th house, though, I tend to think that this is a Genetic trait. I tend to think that if Simmons were going to go to the Plastic Surgeon and ask to have something like that done he would have asked for one that was forked.

Why Is Campbell Brown Such a "B"?

I grew up around feudal women so I don't really have much faith in "how much better the world would be if women were running it." I simply think that women should be given the same opportunities as men, plain and square, no matter what. Well, now that we've got a serious female contender running for the Presidency I'm watching with glee as all the bitches come out of the woodwork to attack her. And Hillary is fighting back. That's a sure sign of a "B."

But what the hey, this Mars-Pluto opposition has been hammering us all for the last few months so nobody was going to get along anyway. There's this weird avalanche of bitchiness that's rolling through the campaign that I don't remember seeing before. People saying catty, stupid things about Hillary, then CNN treating her like a bag of shit at a debate, then Hillary reacting, then Obama's advisor doing the Monster Mash.

The first Bitches that I noticed in the campaign were actually men. Two guys somewhere, a caucus state or something, asked Hillary for instructions on how to iron a shirt. That really upset me. The next day I called the Dutch Embassy and asked what I need to do in order to emigrate.

So, now it's filtered down to the women and we get to see what really would happen if women were to rule the world. It's looking a lot like the Kitchen at my House during Childhood.

One of Obama's advisors resigned her position after telling the English press that Hillary is a Monster. Is Hillary a monster? Yes. Thing is, the way things are going in this case, if Hillary's not a Monster, then she's going to be a Victim. This is just how it is if you're a woman...and other women don't defend you, they sort of feed off of it with that "I told you so" smirk. Saturday Night Live picked up on it, miracle of miracles. Then, Hillary, brought it up again, ew, it's that Mars-Saturn-Pluto in Leo conjunction, can't just leave well enough alone.

So here's my explanation in Astro Terms on why CNN's "B" is such a god damned "B." Let it be known that we're all "B's" at this point because of the Mars-Pluto aspect in the sky. Either that or we're a "Man" and have been holding a "Gun" to other people's "Heads" and blowing their "Brains" out.

Campbell Brown has some instant indicators of Bitchy Lady Syndrome.

The first is Out-of-Bounds Mars. For a woman this means that she's got no problem putting herself out there. It also means that she can't control herself. Plus her Mars is in Gemini and conjunct Gemini's ruler so she's aggressive through her words. In this case, she cut Clinton off at every chance she could get. I'm sure that, in her own mind, Brown thought she was helping the world to realize who's the best guy for the job, simply forgot that she was a journalist. I was simply sitting there blown away by what a Bitch she was. I'll have to say: Really Good Circus. Tanya Harding shit. She stole the show. And, hey, her Mars has been hit big-time by this Retrograde Mars Transit. It's her Mars Return, after all. Good time for playing intimidation games on national TV with someone who may be the next President of the United States.

The second instant reason why C.Brown is a "B" is Sun-Venus-Mars-Mercury in Gemini squaring her Pluto-Uranus conjunction in Virgo. One can see why she would have an interest in Media and Communications, she's very intelligent and quick. She's also a little bit cold and power hungry. Everything that she thinks that Clinton is, she actually is. That square to Uranus-Pluto in Virgo ... she can't see the forest for the trees but she does know that she would blow it all up if only blowing things up were a girly thing to do. (remember out-of-bounds Mars squares this and it's been going through its return (fuck)).

The third reason is Campbell Brown's Saturn. It's in Aries, sign of its Fall, and it's conjunct her natal Aries North Node, a little pushy. She's sort of a know-it-all and thinks she's hot shit, but she probably lives in New York and that's kind of how you've got to be. You think she was mean to Hillary, just imagine what she'd be like standing behind you in line at the bank.

Why we should give Campbell Brown a second chance, or at least ask her to medicate for a little while:

Her transits and progressions suck. I already mentioned the Mars Return thing. Also, her progressed Mars is in Cancer. That's super moody. There's also a chance that her Progressed Moon is conjunct Mars in Cancer. Boy, that's explosive. It's also hormonal. She just had a baby and she's probably got some valid excuses here. Air Signs really go ape face with hormonal changes. Plus, she's got Father and loveability issues which she'll probably never be able to confront because of that Air.

But, still, if you're female, I suggest you stay away from Campbell Brown. She's only got one planet in Water, that's Neptune, so she's low on receptivity. Neptune is problematic, apex of a Yod to Sun sextile Sun-Venus. So, she's sort of empathetic and sort of not. It turns on and off depending on whether she's empathizing with all her own angry Gemini-Authoritarian stuff at any given time.
