Actresses Murdered By Government Spooks?

Here's more conspiracy theory stuff.  Well, some of it isn't theory, it's real.  Two actresses who died young and who may have been in part murdered by government creepiness.  Both actresses were Scorpios with Sun in major aspect to Uranus.  They got burned for having penetrating insights (Scorpio) and for rebelling against the norm (Uranus). The FBI did acknowledge that it publicized lies about Seberg in the press.

Getting Started With Bunny Berigan

Cardinal Signs are the ignition points of the horoscope wheel.  They represent the Solstice and Equinox Points which show beginnings of the Seasons on planet earth.Cardinal Signs represent beginnings and starting points.

So this reminded me of one of my favorite songs.

I sort of wondered if Bunny had Cardinal Sign issues in his chart.  He did.  He had a Cardinal t-square with apex Mars 15 Libra squaring Uranus 14 Capricorn opposing Neptune 18 Cancer Rx.  He was also born with Libra Rising which is a Cardinal Sign.

Berigan had that big natal a Cardinal Sign t-square in his natal chart.  And he lived through the Great Depression which was the last time that Saturn-Uranus and Pluto were in a big Cardinal Sign t-square configuration with each other.

And in 1937 when Berigan performed "I Can't Get Started" there was a Jupiter-Pluto opposition over his natal Uranus-Neptune.

Berrigan was a Scorpio Sun with Libra Rising.  I think it's interesting to notice that Mars, the Great Ignition of the Zodiac was in Retrograde for half of 1937 between Libra and Scorpio which means that Mars spent half that year pretty much standing over his Ascendant between his natal Mars in Libra (H12), his Ascendant-Mercury Retrograde conjunction and his 1st House Sun.  That's a lot of fire on the starting point of one's chart.

So, if you are currently spinning your wheels in a ditch somewhere because the Cardinal Sign stuff is just too overwhelming, it just means that it's time to do a little dance.

Berigan died in 1942 at age 33.  The Doctor told him that he would die if he didn't stop drinking and didn't stop playing trumpet.  He said he could do neither. One can see the stubbornness of a Fixed Sun and Moon here.  Age 33 is the year that one's Solar Return Chart puts one's planets pretty much back in the houses where they were when one was born. 

Oh yeah, and I can't talk about a musician without discussing Venus.  Venus in this chart is conjunct Lilith at the end of Virgo (H11).  It opposes Saturn in Aries (fall) and squares Pluto-NN at end of Gemini.  That can also sort of explain the tragic short life.

Money Changes Everything

Just saw the quote on an advertisement for MSN.com saying that "money changes everything."

Astrology can improve that thought, I think. We can take that idea one step further, and into the realm of the taboo.

Taurus rules money and Taurus is a very conservative sign. I don't think that Taurus changes much. Taurus wants to accumulate.

However, scorpio is the sign opposite Taurus. And scorpio is related to deep transformation and change.

So, I think that the truly wise saying might be:

"Other people's money changes everything.". Along with sex, death and taxes. And personal power trips, of course.

Where O Where Is Hillary Clinton?

News reports say that Hillary Clinton has gone missing. Her schedule is completely blank for the next 3 days. Where is she? Is she hiking the Appalachian Trail? Bad Botox treatment? Is Bill okay? Is Chelsea okay? She didn't have a stroke did she? (Nah, that wouldn't stop Hillary)

OMYGOD!!!

WHERE'S HILLARY????????? She helped the entire Middle East to rebel and now she's gone.

Well, we have a problem with reading Hillary's chart and that's that we don't know what time she was born. If at 8 bells am she's got Scorpio Rising, 23 degrees. If at 8 bells pm she's got Gemini Rising, last degree. We don't know. With Scorpio Sun and Pisces Moon all we know is that when Hillary needs privacy, she really needs privacy so we should give it to her.

But, aren't you curious? What the hell is going on?

What I hope is that with transiting Neptune at 1 Pisces squaring her natal Jupiter at 1 Sadge. Maybe she hooked a ride on the space shuttle. Maybe she just suddenly said "Whoopee I'm Alive and I'm going to take a vacation! Fuck you all!!!

I'm even trying to imagine what she would look like descending from Air Force 1 at Obama's side while flipping the birdie, Secretary of State that she is. Yeah!! We're the Free World and at least we try to rise above corruption. It can't last with all the corrupt world streaming in through the hotel and media industry right now, service industries that help you by stealing your information and holding it against you, America doesn't have an official industry anymore, the Dollar is losing to the Yen. Wow, Zoom me up!"

So, maybe she'll tell us when she gets back. Maybe not. I'm so curious. Sure hope she's having fun.

Trending: Tilda Swinton

Actress Tilda Swinton was topping the trending lists over on Yahoo. She has two movies coming out pretty soon. In one she plays an Ice Queen in the C.S. Lewis series.

Ice is frozen water. That will be ruled by Neptune and Pluto and Saturn and other "cold" signs which show a lot of reserve. Swinton's natal chart naturally fits this as she is a Scorpio Sun with a Virgo North Node. Her natal Sun is conjunct Neptune and Mercury Rx in Scorpio. Not only does this enhance the Icey and Ethereal Qualities, but it bestows great talents as an actor (dissolving into another character) and photogenia (is that a word?). However, this isn't a personality that "shows off" in a flamboyant way so it may be thought of as sort of cold.

Right now the transits and Swinton's progressions have lined up in the sign of Capricorn. Not only is Capricorn related to Saturn which is a sign which is very conservative and reserved, but it rules Government and Leaders. Queens and Kings are still ruled by Leo and Leo's ruler the Sun. At the point when Swinton was leading the Trending Polls, maybe she still is, a stellium of planets is passing through the sign of Capricorn and this was hanging out up at the highest part of the astrological wheel. Mars 2 Capricorn, NN 4 Capricorn, Pluto 5 Capricorn, Mercury 6 Capricorn (and Stationing Rx).

Swinton's natal chart and progressed chart are hooked into this point as well. Also at this point is Swinton's natal Jupiter at 2 Capricorn. Her natal Saturn is at 14 Capricorn. And, most importantly, her progressed Sun (Queen) is at 4 Capricorn.

I don't have a birth time for Swinton so I don't know her entire natal chart.

Some Thoughts on the Hayward Fault Line

So, we here in California made it through the Summer without any big earthquakes which blows my Cardinal Sign theory to smithereens, Thank You Jesus. There were no set rules saying that we had to have an earthquake, but the Eclipses and the big t-square in the sky are making things look ominous, like something big and disastrous ought to happen. Besides that, the scientists say that we're due.

I did sort of did wonder if this year through to next January, 2011 will be more set earthquake prone times than normal, especially during the months right after the Solstices and Equinoxes. The Eureka area up in the top of California did have an Earthquake back in January while the Sun was in Capricorn. And the very Southern end of the State was shaking like a jello bowl from the Mexico earthquakes back in April while the Sun was in Aries. So, now the Sun is in Libra and that's fire season down in Southern California and earthquake season in Northern California. And fires are much easier to predict than earthquakes, they happen pretty much every year, some years worse than others, and especially now with Southern California having a drought and all.

The Hayward Fault is said to be over due. This is an area which will suffer a lot if a significant earthquake occurs because of the dense population. The Hayward Fault is said to average an earthquake every 140 years.

I'm sort of confused (well, I'm always confused) because the USGS site has a list of earthquakes for California and not all of the earthquakes listed coincide with earthquakes that are mentioned on other sites.

It looks as if the Hayward Fault gives out when an Outer Planet of some sort is in middle degrees Cardinal Sign. So, it looks like this fault might be under extreme stress in 2013-14-15 when Uranus and Pluto are squaring each other over middle Aries and Capricorn.

Saturn will be in Scorpio during those years and outer planets in Scorpio seem related in the earthquakes for this area.

Al Gore Lets a Snowball Into Hell

Is it hot in here or is that Al Gore? (just had to say it)

An Oregon Massage Therapist has said that Vice President Al Gore hired her, rented her out as it were, to come to his hotel room back in 2006. Al didn't just want a relaxing massage, some kind of special technique with an Asian name that she specializes in. Al had something else on his mind. Hmmm, what could that be? The Massage Therapist says that Al tried to buy a little love. He didn't actually try to barter, he cranked up the music, he grabbed, he pinned her on the bed. This shit always works for Austin Powers. It even works to some extent for Mickey Rourke. And I wonder how many times it has worked for Al Gore. And we don't know exactly what happened. We are innocent here. We don't know. The Massage Therapist didn't leave the room until 1:30. But, as we all know, once one has committed to an appointment, one must always live up to one's end of the bargain.

The Police were notified at some point and they brushed off an investigation. The woman says that her friends, the Birkenstock Crowd, told her to "brush it off." What's more important? Her self esteem or the icebergs? Well, of course the icebergs are more important (although anybody who drives a car apparently doesn't know this, that includes me). Besides, she wasn't raped.

Now the Police are re-opening the case. The woman has been to the rape crisis center and her work has suffered. We are going to hear now about how she's crazy, makes stuff up, once had to swipe her ATM three times through the slot before the transaction went through so even the machinery knows a loser ....

And so now we have a story about Al Gore's style of sexual expression exposed for all to read. I assume that it's close to true. Gore is an Aries and Aries can be aggressive.

When Clinton had his affairs I didn't care because I wasn't surprised. I knew he was a womanizer when I voted for him. But, Al Gore is supposed to be pure as the driven snow. Al Gore is absolutely the only reason why I stopped trying to space out during news talks about politics. I just have to keep growing up. These shockers.

Looking at the astrology for that particular evening is pretty amazing. I don't have her birth date, of course. Her name is Molly. Molly is now 54. This means that back in 2006, which is 4 years ago, she would have been going through her Chiron Return. Chiron is the teacher who couldn't heal his own wounds. So, I wonder if it's typical that one can't heal whatever happens during a Chiron return. Since I'm going through mine now I'd say that it could be.

When connected with Mars, Chiron is sometimes thought to indicate rape. And Chiron was squaring Mars that night. But, it sounds like the Massage Therapist wasn't raped. And, to be honest, it sounds like her reaction is extreme, but then again, I don't know. If you go to a guy's hotel room at the witching hour, you are sort of asking for it. And often this makes rape accusations difficult to understand. It's like how when I was in my 20s and I had friends who ran home through dark alleys in the bad side of town. They all got raped or attacked. Doesn't matter. I went to a party at a better side of town and still got raped. The Neptune in Scorpio generation. I guess that's what we were all about.

And I don't want to think about this except that the astrology is very educational for future Massage Therapists who want to avoid getting attacked when they go to rich guy's hotel rooms in the middle of the night. I don't know what it means for actual Call Girl/Prostitutes which is another story altogether, but it would be nice if somebody thought about their welfare every once in a while. Some nights you can get away with this stuff. And some nights you can't. This particular night was meant for howling, that's for sure. Five planets were in Scorpio and now we've know everything we ever wanted to know about Al Gore's gonads.

So the Scorpio planets. Right at the beginning of Scorpio the Sun, Venus and Mars were together at 2 degrees. That's early in the sign. They had just passed over from Libra. One minute Venus is ruling that conjunction. Next minute Mars is in charge. We're not playing Libra peek-a-boo games anymore.

At the end of Scorpio there was a conjunction of Mercury to Jupiter. Call in the Cops. Call in the Lawyers: Sex for Sale. Mercury and Jupiter rule communications and Scorpio keeps things secret. That's a quandary. Either way, keep the Kundalini under wraps because if that stuff blows right now it's gonna look ugly. So now we all have to ponder "When you say No, do you really mean it?" Scorpio rules revenge. It also rules other people's money. It also rules very deep hurts. And Plutonians say that it leads to healing but the rest of us pretty much don't. (It just leads to Sagittarius which rules Lawyers and trips to Church).

I'm pretty disappointed in Al Gore. Thing is, you don't hire a licensed Massage Therapist for anything but Massage Therapy. I guess Al was afraid of getting the clap from a real hooker maybe? Maybe he was too embarrassed to rent one. Maybe, Capricorn Moon that he is, he was being cheap and just wanted to save a few bucks. What did Eliot Spitzer pay for his big date? $4,000? This licensed massage therapist, STD free, I think received $300 cash. They don't even have sales tax in Oregon. What a deal. Capricorn Moons come up pretty high in the statistics in relation to alcohol abuse so one wonders...

And the Massage Therapist? Well, my dilemma is this. It depends how you look at her. Is she considered a woman in this case? Or is she considered a Professional Massage Therapist? Because as a woman I defend her situation 100 percent, granted I don't have a clue what actually went on. But, I was date raped by an Aries guy so from a subjective point of view (which is all I can give), I feel very bad for her. Yes, friends side with the accused. It's easier. Either way they don't defend you. That's the bad side of hanging out with pacifists. They like to "do" by talking about things and then it turns out they can't even listen. And the married women, you'll be wishing it would happen to them by the time this is over. In the end Molly probably won't be going to anymore midnight rendezvous at hotel rooms. And she shouldn't have been doing that anyway. Let the Hookers do it. Better yet, go give the Hookers a massage. No one deserves to be treated well than they do.

So then there's the question of what can a Massage Therapist expect out in the field? What I mean here is that Massage Therapists are trained to work with the human body. The human body is here first and foremost to procreate. Plus it's Al Gore, we're talking about. He's rich. He's powerful. He couldn't have done the things he's done without his mojo. Plus, physically, he's super stiff and just one warm touch of a finger is probably going to unleash 50,000 past lifetimes of kundalini (assuming that's how Kundalini works). In addition, the guy got royally screwed in his career. There's going to be some major pent up rage going on in there and rage comes from the same place that sexuality does. It also sounds like Al needs to hang up his beer bottles for a stretch at any rate.

The police report alleges that the incident took place at a Hotel Room in Portland, Oregon starting at 11:00 pm on Oct. 24, 2006. The Massage Therapist was supposed to go to the room at 10:30 but Gore delayed the appointment. Al, big mistake. The 10:30 would have set those Scorpio planets off the angles, even in the fun house (H5). Instead you let her in when everything was entering the 4th House. The 4th House rules hotels, but it also rules swamp lands.

And Lilith was there. Lilith is always there. And you don't want to piss a woman off when Lilith is there. Lilith was at 1 Libra right on the IC at the stroke of 11. Libra rules Marriage and IC rules Homelife and, as I said, also Hotels and Swamps, and the Aries Point brings everything before the public eye. And Lilith? Lilith is the first wife. Need we say more? She got dumped by Adam because she wanted equality with him. And she killed the kids to get revenge (in some of the stories, not the ones that the Birkenstockers read, but ..).

Of course, the Midheaven of this Chart, the point on the wheel that shows how it will be viewed by the public, is at 1 Aries and that's aggression.

Bjork Sings to the Earth And ...

Those triple Scorpios are manifesters, that's for sure. Plutonian Icelandic Singer Bjork sang to the sick earth and now the mountains are screaming from underneath the glaciers. And, except for the Icelanders who have been evacuated, this could be a good thing if it doesn't go for too long. I read a while back that we were needing a volcano to erupt because a little ash in the ionosphere could stave off Global Warming for a while. (Don't know if that's true, and things could cool things down too much if the volcano erupts for too long).

On the Spring Solstice (March 20) a volcano in the southern part of Iceland erupted. Yesterday it erupted again in what is said to be 10-20 times more powerful reaction. That was the Aries New Moon!

Ash is spilling out into the skies and air transport is called off due to low visibility. People have been evacuated. This is expected to continue for a couple more months. If the lava melts some of the neighboring glaciers another volcano may erupt and this could send the earth into a deep freeze.

Wow, this is definitely triple Scorpio stuff. Whatever's been bottled up will eventually spew out. Pluto is conjunct Bjork's natal Mars. And she was born during the Uranus-Pluto conjunction and opposition to Saturn of 1965. This opposition is layered over her natal IC/MC Axis! It mirrors the current t-square between these 3 Outer Planets right now. (IC represents 4th house and environment and geology). Her chart at Astrotheme. The first eruption happened right on the Spring Solstice. I wrote a little bit about it here and unfortunately didn't add the exact time and location:

Iceland has caught the brunt of the geological tension today as one of its Volcanoes erupted. The news reports said that around 500 people were evacuated. The volcano is in the Southern part of Iceland about 100 miles from Reykjavik.

The houses for Placidus don't really work that far up North. I'm not sure what house system they use. This chart is amazing just by placement of the planets. The Sun is on the Spring Equinox point conjunct Uranus.

This conjunction is in the big t-square formation with Saturn 1 Libra and Pluto 6 Capricorn. It is also trining Mars 1 Leo to the the degree.

Neptune-Chiron are conjunct the IC in Aquarius.

The last time this volcano erupted was from December 1821 to January 1823. At that point, Uranus and Neptune were in conjunction at the beginning of Capricorn where Pluto is right now. Pluto was at 28 Pisces very close to the Aries Point.

So it looks like Iceland is affected by early Cardinal Sign outer planet activity. I guess that Bjork was the Lava that came out during the Uranus-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn back in the early 90s.

Well, the Scientists were saying that a volcano could buy us some time with keeping Global Warming at bay.

Charles I's Bloodstained Shirt

Here's a photo of a silk shirt which is said to have been worn by King Charles I of England at his Execution. There are red stains on the shirt which are thought to be left over blood. Previous examinations of the stains have been inconclusive as to whether or not they really are blood and whether they really are the blood of the King.

The main thing is that Charles I lived so long ago that he is having a secondary progressed Venus Return. It's exact to the Degree at 11 Sagittarius this year. Venus rules clothes. In addition to the amazing progressed Venus Return, Charles I's progressed Sun and p. Mercury (rulers of 12th House (Ghosts) & Ascendant (physical body)) are in conjunction with his natal North Node. And he is having a Nodal Return!

He is also about to have a progressed Lunar Return as well! It's all just really coming around for him.

He became a legend as a Saint. I guess he was good for the Church but bad for the coffers, so chop chop. This is why I hate politics. Anyway, his blood is something very special for the English. There are stories that the crowd dipped their handkerchiefs in it after he was executed, so maybe this is just another delusional thing for them, sort of like Sasquatch appearances are for the Americans.

Anyhoo, Charles I's Neptune (martyr) is at the perfect spot for a Saint, 1 Virgo. That puts it in the 12th House within conjunction with his Ascendant. On the day that the newspaper published this photo the Sun was at 1 Pisces, directly across.

I think I've got a crush on a headless corpse. Scorpio's are known to be Phoenix's who rise up from their ashes but this is truly amazing. His natal Sun is conjunct his IC (end of life)

Young Actress Brittany Murphy Passes Away

Hope this isn't disrespectful, or basically just too premature an interpretation, but 32 year old Brittany Murphy apparently had a heart attack this morning and died. I always found her to be a bit more striking than most of the young actresses. That makes sense, of course, because Brittany was a magnetic double Scorpio with Pluto conjunct natal North Node at 14-16 degrees Libra. I don't have a birth time for her so don't have the complete horoscope.

You sort of expect anyone with Scorpio and Scorpio's ruler, Pluto, prominent in their charts to have more crises going on in their lives than the average person. Pluto rules Sex, Death and Taxes, and most ideas that are difficult to articulate....

The Wikipedia entry about Murphy show a typical super stressful Plutonian lifestyle. Her parents divorced when she was 2 years old. Her Father is a convicted "mobster." Her Mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer when Murphy was 15 years. Murphy got her first acting job when she was 14 and needless to say realized a very successful career in singing and acting from an early age. She was probably a very focused, determined person with a strong drive.

Because of my studies with Planetary Return Cycles I was immediately attracted to the fact that Murphy was 2 years old when her parents divorced. According to my studies this hooks her into Mars energy throughout her life. That describes boldness, youthfulness, being first, impulsiveness, creativity, and all other Mars characteristics. I'm finding for now that these kids often blame themselves for their parents' divorce.

So I thought I would check out just Mars in Murphy's chart to see if it could bring any sense as to why she would die young and unexpectantly. Murphy's natal Mars is heavily afflicted in her natal chart. It is apex of a t-square to an opposition of Venus 1 Scorpio to Chiron 3 Taurus. It is also squaring her natal Uranus Scorpio and possibly her Moon. These three planets working together rule unexpected events. Murphy died of a heart attack and her natal Mars is Leo which is the sign that rules the heart.

I don't know what her Rising Sign was so I can only wonder if any of these planets are ruling her Ascendant which describes her physical body. This could further explain her death, as well as her 4th, 8th and 12th house rulers.

The Mars problems continue in Murphy's chart. They seem to have been piling up on each other through the progressed chart and solar return charts.

She had just celebrated both a Solar Return in and was in the middle of an abnormally long Mars Return. And Mars is going through a very long transit through the sign of Leo just now. It just stationed Retrograde so was promising a long stressful square to her natal Scorpio planets.

Transiting Mars is also mirroring her Progressed Mars which has just stationed direct in Leo as well at 12 degrees. That means that both transiting and progressed Mars are stationing on or close to her natal Mars. And this, according to me and my work with cycles, would be a soft spot for self awareness due to the early trauma at age 2 (1st Mars Return).

The transits just keep piling up here. Today the Moon was opposing Brittany's natal, transiting, progressed Marses and moving into conjunction with transiting Chiron (woundings). These are in close sextile/trine with her natal Pluto/North Node (Fate-Destiny) in Libra.

Her most recent Solar Return (Nov. 10) and Lunar Return charts (Dec. 12) also show Mars in stress aspects as it is opposing Jupiter and squared by Moon (both transiting). There are many more indicators going on in this chart. I sort of wonder if malnutrition due to Anorexia is not involved. Jupiter in Cancer Rx is lead planet of a bowl shape chart. Sagittarius and Cancer combo's can often underlie Anorexia when combined with a chart that otherwise shows a lot of self control and reserve. All those Scorpio planets would show a controlled temperament which would express through self-denial, as well as a compulsive personality of some sort.

Born in September Millionaires

A Forbes article called "A Recipe for Riches" (http://finance.yahoo.com/career-work/article/107927/a-recipe-for-riches.html?mod=career-leadership) looks for the common traits of self-made millionaires and has found that the most common birth month of self made millionaires is September. Out of 380 self-made millionaires, 42 were born in September. Go Virgos. Go Libras. The Rulers of these signs are Mercury and Venus which are the two planets that rule the markets. Pretty early on in the person's life his Sun will progress into shrewd Scorpio where it will remain for 30 years. That's enough time to build up a decent portfolio. The most determined sign, it also helps to steer through crisis management.

The entire Fall season is the most common month for self-made millionaires except for December. So, the Scorpio Suns are included. That leaves out the Sagittarians.

Interesting that another common denominator has to do with a Sagittarian subject: Higher Education. The moguls either dropped out of college or went to one of 3 Ivy League Schools. Unless you are going to Harvard, Columbia, or some weird school in Pennsylvania that I've never heard of before, drop out.

Of the Pluto in Leo and Pluto in Virgo generations, this also means that the Sun will never have to progress over the native's natal Pluto.

Another key money planet in the chart, Venus will probably be in the signs of Leo through Capricorn. With the exception of Capricorn, that means that Venus, like the Sun, will be in a sign which is considered controlled by others (right side of Astrological Wheel). Pretty interesting. In other words, I read that to mean that Accumulation of Wealth is related to people skills. Interesting that Venus is included by Sun Sign rulership but not through the sign of Taurus which is the ruler of money.

I wonder if the Sun Sign prominence of wealth changes in relation to the generations as indicated by the Outer Planets.

Oh yeah, the article also says that having parents with Math Skills helps a lot. Something will show up in the person's IC/MC axis which shows Mathematical abilities.

Incest - Mackenzie Phillips

Teenage Star Mackenzie Phillips has returned to the public eye with yet another confession about her past.

Mackenzie says that she carried on a 10-year drug induced sexual relationship with her Father, Mama & Papas founder, John Phillips. I haven't read much about the details so I may not have them correct. But it seems that a lot of the public reaction to her situation is disbelief, or annoyance. I think I read that John began sharing his drugs with his daughter when she was around 13 or 14. Then one day when she was 18 she passed out and woke up to notice that her Father was raping her. That's one bad story. Makes one wonder what this woman's Saturn looks like in her chart...

As I was trying to research Astrological Indicators for Incest I was sort of amazed by the weird reactions people are having to this situation. For one, Confessional memoirs are so Pluto in Sagittarius. For two, everyone's sort of fed up with Mackenzie. It's her Chiron Return so she's all about licking her unhealed wounds. And Pluto is passing over her natal Saturn so the wound's going to be infected right now. Ick. 50-year old women are supposed to be over themselves, not squeezing the puss out from under old scabby wounds. And, frankly, Drug Addicts' stories become really annoying.

But, I am very interested because there was incest in my family. I sort of used to say that although my Father couldn't really be considered that great of a Father, he gains points just from the fact that he was probably the first man on his side of his family who didn't rape his daughter. I'm also interested because, as usual, I'm finding that a lot of Women Astrologers are in denial about dealing with this topic. They're sort of saying that Mackenzie was responsible for what happened. Addicts will sleep with pretty much anybody so there's perhaps something to that, but so will rape victims, it just sets something off in a person.

Either way, with a conjunction of Sun-Mars-Neptune in Scorpio in Mackenzie's 4th House, one might expect to see MacKenzie living in a house with some problems in this area. She would be sort of compulsive about losing boundaries. This is also a very good aspect for growing up in an artistic or musical environment in which creative fantasies are indulged. One would hope to find a well aspected Saturn in the chart (which symbolizes a strong Father figure) in a chart with this aspect to ground this aspect which "likes to get high". Here she literally acted out (Sun-Mars) for reallsies every Taboo (Scorpio) a Father and Daughter can have (Sex and Drugs).

Mackenzie's chart shows that she might have problems with self-esteem, both too much as well as too little. Sun in Scorpio, Moon in Aries is a pretty positive force with almost too much self-esteem (as compensation, this seems to often be an oldest child aspect of a dysfunctional family) . However, Moon-Venus-Saturn t-squares might be hard-working they suffer from inferiority complexes which can turn into control issues.

Mackenzie's Father left her Mother around 1962 when Mackenzie would have been around 2 or 3 years old. If the split happened during or around Age 2 then Mackenzie would have been going through her first Mars Return which could account for how inflamed the Sun-Mars-Neptune conjunction influence has become in her life. It seems that he left because he was having an affair with Michelle Phillips. They married and he became a famous singer along with his new wife in the group "The Mama's and the Papa's". At some point John couldn't handle wife #2's infidelities so they divorced. Mackenzie moved in with her Father, started taking drugs, and became a famous working actress around the time that she was 13 and 14. Her drug habit got her booted off the TV show One Day at a Time. Dad and wife #3 were heavily abusing drugs and at some point they divorced. Mackenzie started her affair with her Father Age 18. The affair lasted 10 years until she would have been around Age 28.

These ages are really interesting from the Astrology stand point as they all happen around the cycles related to a big, difficult t-square in Mackenzie's chart between her Moon, Saturn, Venus and her Nodal Axis over the Aries Points of Aries, Libra, Capricorn in the 3d, 6th and 9th houses of Mackenzie's chart. That certainly explains the early success and frequent public exposure of her family problems. This also shows a torqued out nervous system and perhaps vulnerability to depression. It also shows that she expresses her feelings through her work most easily.

This t-square has an apex Saturn at 4 degrees Capricorn. Saturn directly shows one's relationship with one's Father. It is in its own sign here so Mackenzie's would have a strong need to have a (traditional) relationship with her Father. Interesting the Moon and Saturn rule the 1st and 7th Houses of her chart, that's the relationship Axis.

The big part of the t-square is Mackenzie's opposition of Moon 1 Aries to Venus 2 Libra which is set on top of her Nodal Axis 2 Libra. This is a very tightly aspected t-square. Aries-Libra is all about relationships and Venus and Moon show the two female planets which are challenging each other. Both Venus and Moon are stand-out planets in her chart as well. Venus is a singleton in Air Signs. The Moon is the chart ruler, is the most elevated planet in the chart and is the handle of a bucket configuration.

So what's interesting here are the dates of Mackenzie's relationship with her Father as they relate to the cycles that coincide with this t-square. Interesting that the return cycles of the planets and point involved in a t-square with apex Saturn are so related with her Father (ruled by Saturn). Saturn even rules Mackenzie's 7th House.

• She moved in with her Father at Age 13-14. This coincides with the first progressed Moon (Family, Mother) and Saturn (Father) oppositions.
  
• Her sexual relationship with her Father began at Age 18. This coincides with the Nodal Return which is layered over the Moon-Venus opposition. Her 18th Solar Return chart actually has a Lunar Return as well which further amps up that 1 Aries Lunar family vibe.
  
• MacKenzie ended the affair at Age 28. This is the time of her secondary Progressed Moon Return/Saturn Return. She was also having a Nodal Opposition.
  
• Currently, she is revealing this part of her troubled life as transiting Pluto is passing over natal Saturn.

Since the Moon and Saturn both represent family and parents one can see that Mackenzie has a strong need for a stable family life, something which her childhood lacked. The t-square shows challenges for anything having to do with traditional family values.

Scorpio Sun-Aries Moon is very competitive personality. I read a pretty mean comment given by Michelle Phillips about Mackenzie's motives for exposing her incest relationship which she (Michelle) sees only as a way of making money. No compassion coming from that angle, for sure. That's one nasty step-mommy comment. So it looks like Mackenzie had at least one mean step-mother in her past. Sounds like Mackenzie had some lessons in cut-throat competition for Father's attention from very early on. And, on the other hand, it looks like her Father was perhaps trying to make up for his lack of being able to act as a Father. Sick as it was.

Factoids from Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Scorpios don't often admit when they've been wrong so a miracle sort of happened at the G-20 meeting in Pittsburgh when the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told a reporter that he can acknowledge that the Holocaust did happen.

He can see it! Wow!!! Hitler was there. And Goebells. And Eichmann. And Himmler. For a few years there we were really going, like, Earth to Mahmoud! Earth to Mahmoud! I think that Ahmadinejad then sort of cancelled out his words, following up by saying that the reports of the atrocities were grossly exaggerated. Last I heard, 6 million Jews killed. The Nazi's took good notes.

Anyway, with Jupiter conjunct Neptune in Aquarius we have come to take Miracles for granted, and here's another one for the books. Perhaps it was only Jet Lag but it now appears that the Iranian President has been updated on his history.

Wanted to take a look at the astrology to see what might be going on with Ahmadinejad.

I'm calling Mahmoud, A for now. A is a Scorpio with Moon either in Leo or Virgo. I'd assume that he's got both Luminaries in Fixed Signs because he's so stubborn. So I'd go for the Leo Moon.
But Moon signs can be very difficult to pin down.

And then this is a weird thing. A's got Mercury in Libra at 26 degrees. Libra is supposed to be diplomatic and to see the other person's side. Not when it progresses through Scorpio I guess and especially when it hits Neptune on the first degree of Scorpio by progression. Something maybe happened to him which made him want to take the fuzzy view in life. And a few years after that progressed Mercury would have hit hit Sun in Scoprio which is the egomaniac view. Kind of a difficult set up.

In A's case this means that he's got all those floral flourishes to his words. Sort of the Arabic version of Gift of Gab. I actually really like listening to the Arabic Leader's pep talks, you can't tell if they're saying anything or not, the room just sort of fills up with a fresh Apples and Cinnamon scent.

Anyhoo, with Mercury in Libra conjunct Neptune and Sun in Scorpio we can see how his speech is full of rapture as he goes on about youth and innocence and love and peace in relation to nuclear warfare. And in the true Neptunian way of Denial and Blame, A talks about the bombasity of Nuclear Warfare of other countries, all the while never admitting that, allegedly, he's got a couple that are good to go attached to his own rockets. I'm not saying that I don't blame him. The guy probably grew up getting shot at by Iraqis while Americans were busy trying to make money off of it. I knew an Iranian guy who told a story about walking down a path on his college campus and leaning over to pick a flower just as a bullet which was aimed at his head hit the guy right behind him. And then I knew a pianist whose family had owned a movie theater back in Iran and one day some Iraqis came in and gunned the entire audience down. She couldn't stop crying (and smoking) and had to go back to the mental hospital right after she told me that. War is beyond my comprehension. I admit that I don't know what it's like and I don't want to know what it's like. And I can only imagine how difficult it might be for someone with that past to try to talk to people who don't have a clue. Perhaps in relation to the amount of terror they have lived they really don't think the Holocaust is that big a deal. Is that it? So, at any rate, isn't it nice that President Obama is allowing these people back into the country to represent themselves? That's gotta count for something, doesn't it?

So, anyway, A has been going through a Mars trine right now. Natally he has Mars at 16 Pisces. A is sharing his subconscious with us. How nice. That's a good one for building nuclear warheads, by the way.

The G-20 meeting is occurring during a transit of Mars in Cancer. That totally sucks. I mean the fact that it is being held in Pittsburg is Mars in Cancery enough. But bringing in this guy along with Gadhafi is just too silly for words. That could either route out the emotional doo-doo so that people really can possibly heal their conflicts. Or, maybe the Canadians will finally lose their composure and lure Mahmoud into a dark alley and mess him up.

With Mercury Retrograde it's a good time to revamp and review. It's probably best to not say much though. Just smile a lot. Nobody's going to like what comes out of your mouth. Don't sow any seeds right now. Just keep nodding like your big bobbing head is stuck to your shoulder on a spring.

As I said, A has Mercury in Libra conjunct Neptune and Sun in Scorpio. How do I say this nicely? Can somebody get Geppetto in here to trim that Dude's nose? It seems to grow and grow and grow right along with his lies.

Don't know what time the speech happened. Date was Sept. 23, 2009, Pittsburgh, PA. Moon was in Scorpio in the Morning and then passed into Sagittarius around lunchtime. A has a conjunction of NN at 1 Sagittarius conjunct Saturn 2 Sagittarius so the Moon would have been passing right over that key spot on his chart. That's not easy. Could perhaps show a softening, or at least humbling, (or inflaming) of his authoritarian side. The Sun was also at 1 Libra a prominent Point. Don't know anymore if that shows good diplomatic skills or not, to be frank.

A is also going through 3 difficult Venus aspects right now, always difficult transits for one's popularity.

His natal Venus-Jupiter conjunction at 24-26 Virgo is being hit by the transiting Saturn-Uranus opposition made stronger by the Sun and Mercury's conjunction to Saturn from Virgo. And transiting Venus is conjunct his natal Pluto at 1 Virgo. And his Progressed Venus has just moved into Sagittarius which means that it is conjunct A's NN and Saturn. Perhaps he'll be able to become more broad-minded, perhaps he'll just become more hypocritical and stuck in his opinions. How would I know? It's up to him.

Hmm, A. was born right as both Neptune and Pluto were on the first degrees of signs, Scorpio and Virgo. That means that he somehow reflects the Neptune-Pluto sextile that a couple generations of us have in our charts. In Scorpio and Virgo I would assume that he would somehow be able to share great abilities of discernment with the world. Hopefully he won't blow it up.

After all, he hasn't blown any of us up yet. (But, there are a couple of transits coming up that look pretty good for a terrorist, have to say. ) Why didn't they invite bin Laden to the meeting? Seems they've got everyone else. The Libyan terrorist Gadhafi really has blown up an airplane and he has been invited and has even set up a tent in Donald Trump's backyard. That's kind of fun, but, it's certainly a Mars in Cancer moment for the neighbors.

Was Pat Tillman's Death an Accident?

Recently I've been really curious to figure out if Pat Tillman's death was really an accident, a case of mistaken identity and "friendly fire" when he was killed while on duty in Afghanistan in 2004. The Military did everything it could to cover something up and to erase all traces of evidence surrounding the incident. They burned his suit, lied to his family, confiscated his diary.

Tillman had a strongly Scorpio chart with 5 planets conjunct the North Node in that sign, and, as an old teacher of mine said, "One thing about Scorpio is certain, they don't have to lead boring lives." At any rate, Scorpio is the most persistent sign, and of all the planets, Scorpio's ruler Pluto is most likely to continue speaking from the grave in order to seek Justice, or even to seek answers. With Mercury conjunct Uranus, the Sun, Mars and the North Node, I suspect that Tillman won't rest until the truth is told.

Justice? well, Justice isn't always available for situations that occur when t.Neptune is squaring the Nodes and the Sun.

So, at any rate, I'm looking at the charts. A long time ago I looked at Tillman's chart and at that point I remember seeing some sort of Chironic influence working for Tillman at the time. Have noticed before that Chiron seems to be involved when wrongs are committed against the innocent but that's only a guess of mine. If I'm using a close enough time for the event of Pat Tillman's death, Chiron would have been in the 3d house, sort of interesting considering that the word "fratricide" is the word used by Tillman's family for the reason that they suspect his death was covered up.

The comparison charts hook up very strongly along the Taurus/Scorpio pole. I will try to look mainly at the event chart to see if it can describe whether or not this was an accident or intentional.

Rex Bills says that in Astrology Accidents are ruled by Mars and Uranus. Mistakes are ruled by Uranus with Pluto, which is Mars' higher octave.

When looking for a mistake one would expect to see these planets in hard aspect with each other which they are not doing directly in this chart. However, Pluto and Uranus rule two angles, the 1st House and 4th House of the Event Chart, so their presences are signifant in describing the root of the situation (Uranus) and people involved.

A whole lot of Tillman's natal chart is layered over the Ascendant/Descendant Axis of the event chart. His Nodal Axis, describing situations surrounding Destiny, was in opposition to itself, which would have indicated that he would have been pulled into an intense encounter surrounding his Fate at that time. It also would have indicated a time of confusion for him related to his destiny. Both the natal and transiting Nodal Axis was in the sign of Taurus and Scorpio which Komilla Sutton has said is the most complex and difficult of the Nodal Axes to live out. With Scorpio North Node, Tillman would have been getting sucked into deeper and deeper crises while being pulled through life. Scorpio is tenacious and focused and often offends and then wants revenge. Interesting that Tillman's South Node (path that one is pulling away from) is in Taurus, the sign of money. Tillman gave up a lucrative sports career in order to defend his country, and then was apparently began to fight the corporate (Pluto) mind of what the Government was actually doing in fighting these wars.

As Tillman's Sun-Mercury-Uranus-Mars stellium is conjunct his North Node he is shown strongly in the Ascendant of the Event Chart. Supposedly he was shot in the head 3 times from within a very short distance. That's directly expressed by the fact that his natal Mars was passing over the Ascendant because both Mars and the Ascendant are related to Aries, the sign that rules the Head. (It's a little confusing but I believe that the coroner suspected Murder in his case, something which the military denies.)

Mars is out of orb for conjunction with Uranus but the two are connected through the stellium. And both planets are in the sign of Scorpio which is ruled by Pluto. So the obvious rulers of "Mistakes" and "Accidents" -- Mars, Uranus and Pluto -- are shown in Tillman's natal chart and are passing over the Horizon at the time of his death.

Layered over this are both the Event Nodal Axis and Tillman's natal Axis. And in the sign of Taurus and Scorpio the problems won't be easy ones to solve. That's not good since Pluto rules Death and Pluto connected with Mars rules murder. With Uranus connected an Accident would be likely, or at least a sudden shocking event that no one was expecting.

Kind of weird that as a victim Tillman is represented by the Ascendant and not by the Descendant but I'm not all that great at understanding how to read event charts. And I always like to keep a lose interpretation of which end of an axis is playing itself out since they seem to always be playing a balancing act with each other.

Looking again at the event chart, we notice that the chart ruler is Pluto (Death, Sex, Taxes). Pluto is placed in the 2d House at 23 Sagittarius and it is conjunct Tillman's natal Venus at 21 Sagittarius. It is also opposing a conjunction of t.Venus and Mars and Lilith in the 8th House (event chart). Death and Murder. Mars-Pluto contacts are often related to murder and rage. So are Venus-Pluto contacts, also involved in deep resentments. (Lilith was there as well which is never a good sign, in mythology Lilith killed her own children to get back at her husband, or some story like that). The Gemini Moon was just passing out of the 8th House and into the 7th House and was still within conjunction of the 8th House cusp. The Moon adds to the rage aspect.

3 of these elements directly rule "women" so I'm really confused by the chart. Was a woman involved? 8th house rules Secrets as well. Moon can rule "The Public". Venus can rule "Diplomatic Relationships" "Envy". And Mars rules "Military." And Lilith just sort of adds an element of "Whack out" to whatever it touches.

Also sort of interesting is trying to figure out whether the death was a case of Mistaken Identity or "Fratricide." Gemini rules the 8th House of Death and Motives and literally rules Fraternity through its sign description. Also, Tillman's natal Mercury and Sun are in conjunction to the degree and conjuct the Ascendant. Saturn rules the 3d house cusp (event chart) and Chiron (wounded healer-teacher) is placed in that house.

Interesting how Taurus/Venus/2d House rule possessions and Tillman's armor and possessions (such as his diary) were burned almost immediately after his death which is really, really weird (and totally damning, imo, there's really no need to waste time on the astrology).

Messing things up more is Neptune. Neptune is the smoke screen of the zodiac and makes everything unclear. And Neptune is conjunct the IC in the event chart and squaring the Nodal Axes/ASC-DESC axis and the Sun and all the Sun's buddies. The IC or 4th House cusp rules the end of life. Neptune would rule cover-ups.

The IC can literally just plain old rule the environment describing the event and there may have been low and unclear visibility. Mistaken identity? Perhaps nobody really saw, or wanted to see, what happened. Neptune rules denial.

Interesting that Tillman's Saturn in Leo is opposing this transiting Neptune. Saturn in Leo is an excellent indicator of the military as Saturn rules Authority and Government and Leo rules Generals and Leaders. Considering that his natal Sun in Scorpio square to Saturn in Leo was placed directly over the Ascendant and Midheaven, Tillman, may have behaved in an overly commanding way.

Interesting that Tillman was born with a major aspect trine aspect between Saturn and Neptune natally as well. This mirrors the way that his natal Saturn is opposed by t. Neptune and squared by the Nodal Axes in the event chart. I keep wondering if major events don't happen to a person when major outer planet aspects in the sky mirror major outer planet aspects in the natal chart.

So who's represented by the Taurus Descendant? That would indicate the guy holding the gun I suppose. Since he's on the Descendant this shows that he felt he was being approached and attacked. This brings in Venus once again. Tillman was going through a Venus opposition that was connected to a Mars-Pluto opposition. That reinforces his vulnerability to a violent act at the time.

Tillman's natal Venus is conjunct his n.Neptune and so trining his Saturn. This adds another tie into the Saturn-Neptune aspect which is probably key for understanding what's going on here.

And that's a problem because Saturn and Neptune working together is a sign of martyrdom. It's a great aspect for artists and philosophers but not for warriors.

So, this hasn't clarified anything. When I see strong Scorpio to Neptune squares I assume that someone is lying. Those two working together generally show a big lie and a big cover-up. I hope that eventually the real story may come out and someone is held accountable.

Hopefully it wouldn't cause more harm than good for the truth to be known. That's one of the selling points for why this kind of aspect exists.

Stage Dads - Mr. Jackson, Mr. Mozart, Mr. Beethoven

Since Michael Jackson's death, his Father, Joe, has increasingly become the butt of reporter's jokes so I'm starting to become curiouser and curioser to look at his chart. Years ago Jackson publicly denounced his Father and admitted that he had been beaten and abused as a child. Joe was written out of Michael Jackson's will and it turns out he has been separated from Jackson's Mom for a long time. He is granted interviews just so that people can confirm before their very eyes that he was as abusive as Michael said he was. Well, he's got natal Mercury in Leo which has just gone Retrograde by Progression so that's not going to be hard to do. It's to the point where I'm feeling a little sorry for the guy. His son never would have made it to icon status without his Father pushing him the way he did. (Yes, I'm aware that it's probably not worth it, but then again I'm not a big follower of pop musicians).

As "Classical Music Major" I'm aware of Stage Moms and Dads. At one of my recitals an old dinosaur walked in wearing ruffles and really bright red lipstick and her eyes were way too sparkly and my Virgo Older Brother shuddered under his breath "Now that's definitely someone's Mom." I used to play harp and when you play harp you get to see the best of the visionary parents in full regalia.

I know through music history class that Beethoven's Father was highly abusive and pulled his son out of bed in the middle of the night to practice. And Mozart's Father pushed his son way beyond what the current labor laws would allow and Mozart grew up to be a little squirley because of it. So I went overboard with this project and began to look at all three, or all six charts. (I hope that I've got all the information straight but can't promise anything as I can't work the store feature right now on my Astrology program.)

All three of these Dads produced child prodigies and all three would perhaps be considered child abusers for having done that in modern times at any rate. I suppose the big story regarding Stage Moms and daughters comes from the life of stripper Gypsy Rose Lee. That's good for another study.

Just happened to find an interesting coincidence in that both Beethoven and Mozart's Fathers shared the same birth date, November 14. That sort of explains a little right there. Scorpio works with other people's resources. It is also an extremely ambitious sign and very focused and also capable of extreme behaviors. Scorpio is also a selfish sign and can also suffer from resenting the success of those it nurtures and of wanting to undermine their success through underhanded jealousies.

First, Michael's Dad. What's going on with him? Joe Jackson is not a Scorpio, he's a Leo, but Pluto is conjunct his natal Mercury and the two are unaspected to other planets so they create a strong presence in the chart. I could see how this could lead to very cutting verbal abuse.

As a Leo Joe would have the natural instinct to show off and be flamboyant and unencumbered by self consciousness. He may not have understood that he wasn't the one who was up on stage when his sons were practicing and performing.

With Mars in Virgo he would have a highly critical and perfectionist personality. Mars is one of the indicators in a person's chart showing his children, especially his Sons. Joe's Starchild Michael was born a Virgo.

Michael was born on August 29, 1958 with the Sun at 6 Virgo conjunct Pluto at 3 Virgo. Father Joe Jackson's progressed Sun and Neptune were both in conjunction with t. Pluto so these two were stuck in what Noel Tyl calls an "Ego Wipeout" bond forever. This is a good example of the great positive and negative extremes of how Sun-Neptune-Pluto type of synastry plays out between parent and child, that's for sure.

In addition to that, Joe Jackson was going through both a Mars Return (Son) and his first Saturn Return (Father).

And, another interesting detail to note that comes up with both Beethoven and Mozart's Father's charts and relationships is the combination of Mars with Chiron. Chiron is the great teacher/healer who could pass on all kinds of incredible information but couldn't use it to fix his own wounds. In combination with Mars, Chiron possibly shows a connection of some sort with one's Son. Joe Jackson has these very widely in conjunction with each other in Taurus (sign that rules the voice and arts, interesting that it also rules the Number 5 - Jackson 5 - through Venus' Sun conjunction cycle). Both Beethoven's father had a natal square and Mozart's Father had a natal conjunction, both aspects in connection with strong points in their sons' charts.

I discussed in a blog long ago the interesting coincidence of Father-Sun progressed Sun to natal Sun in the signs of men in the President Bush family a long time ago. It certainly seems that there is some kind of power connection when this happens in a family. As I said, Joe Jackson's p.Sun was within 4 degrees of conjunction with his Son's natal Sun. Ludwig Beethoven was born when his Father was 30 years old and in the next Sun Sign over so he has this relationship with his Father as well: Father Johann's p. Sun was at 27 Sagittarius, 2 degrees past his Son's natal Sun.

Both Mozart and Beethoven Senior had very long conjunctions of personal planets to their natal Saturns which may be of significance in understanding the karmic gifts which they passed on to their children. Due to the retrograde in the progressions, both men would have been experiencing this unchanging stressor on their Saturns. This could explain their own frustrated ambitions, along with their extreme behaviors as Fathers.

As a matter of fact, this p.Sun to n.Natal synastry will happen between the charts of any Father and Son when the Father's natal Sun is roughly 30 degrees before the Son's natal Sun. There is a double whammy effect because the child will born during the Father's Saturn Return which happens roughly at one's 29th year. It does seem to be a strong formula for insuring that success and ambition are passed down from generation to generation. That would require a lot more study to confirm. And it certainly doesn't look like a happy inheritance to be gifted. I'm discussing more connections with Saturn down below. These men have Saturn very strongly aspected in relation with their sons, that's for sure.

Both Fathers (Mozart's and Beethoven's) had progressed Venus in Scorpio when their sons were born. P. Venus conjunct natal Saturn in one chart and conjunct natal Pluto in the other chart. I suppose this shows great ambitions through the arts and no doubt an ability to "psychically channel" huge amounts of cosmic knowledge.

He was 30 years old when Beethoven was born. Going through Saturn Return when his Son was born. And his Progressed Sun was conjunct his Son's natal Sun (and widely his Moon). This point was opposing natal Mars and squaring natal Chiron.

Something interesting that I've noticed in Father B. and Mozarts' Dad's charts as well is an interesting conjunction to natal Saturn from progressed Planets. Father B's Mars is conjunct his natal Saturn in his natal chart in the sign of Leo. Both planets had gone Retrograde by Progression so that they were still in conjunction when Beethoven was born (and Rx, difficult). His progressed Venus, meanwhile, was conjunct to the degree with his Pluto. He was to have a very intense relationship with this child regarding ambitions, will and the arts.

Father Leopold Mozart has a similar thing going on. Natally he has a conjunction of Venus to Saturn-Mercury-Sun in Scorpio (same spot as p.Venus-Pluto in Beethoven's Dad's chart, remember what I said about Scorpio). Venus in Leopold's chart is Retrograde when he is born. And so his progressed Venus has come out of Rx by the time his son is born and has returned to close to the same spot where it was when he was born.

These retrogrades make it look as if the Father's were reliving parts of themselves through their Sons. Both Saturn and Pluto/Scorpio are related to Karmic lessons and reliving problems. They are both very ambitious planets. In a sense, through their sons, these men were using twice the lifetime's worth of knowledge to get their sons to succeed in the world. (Sorry, that probably doesn't make sense).

Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?

While looking at my current transits and progressions all I can do really is to gasp. For reasons that will remain undisclosed, I am instantly reminded of the old Bette Davis/Joan Crawford Horror movie from the 1960s called Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? As a kid I remember Bette Davis as epitomizing everything that I was most afraid of growing up to be. Now, when I look in the mirror, a couple months shy of turning 50 I'm seeing something pretty scary. I think that, due to failing eyesight, I am even starting to paint my lips in over the line...

What better placement for a Horror Movie than Sun in Scorpio? For the National Premiere, well scheduled on Halloween night, the Sun (Drama) was actually conjunct Neptune (Film) in Scorpio (Shadows). Halloween has probably never really been able to live up to those 1960s Neptune in Scorpio years when some of the Goblins were really real. (Okay, okay, so they were actually just the old time face lifts that stretched Bette and Joan's facial muscles back into Bandanas over their skulls). As Neptune rules Movies and Scorpio rules all things that go bump in the night (as well as at the IRS and Wall Street) how appropriate that a Horror Movie would be made during this time? The Leo North Node, of course, doesn't hurt the picture one bit.

The contents of the movie which is about two aging ex-movie stars whose careers have ended years before. The one was a Child Star whose career ended with puberty (Bette) and the other was successful as an Adult and her career was cut short by a crippling car accident. The two are living together in isolation in a house, Joan is dependent on Bette for support and Bette is so full of resentment and jealousy and guilt about her sister's condition that she serves her sister rats for dinner. Nothing on screen is more psychotic than Bette Davis in this role.

So, since this is the Chick Flick from Hell I was very curious to look first at the classic indicators for Women in a chart. These are the Moon and Venus. Venus rules sisters as well, along with Mercury which rules siblings in general. Awesome astrology here through Moon, Venus and Mercury. For the premiere, the Moon was conjunct Mercury in Libra which is Venus' sign. Libra rules vanity and envy. What better night to premiere a movie about vain sisters than on a Libra Moon that's paired up with Mercury? The audience was in the same state of mind.

And then we look further into these same aspects and see that Venus herself is in the sign that takes envy one step deeper to jealousy. That, of course, is the sign of Scorpio. Things are getting darker here, very scary. Scorpio rules resentments, vindictiveness, deep passions that go unexpressed.

Then we look at how prominently these 3 planets are placed in the chart. All three stick out like sore thumbs. All 3 are unaspected by major aspect to other planets. This means that their presence can't flow with the other energies in the chart. The Moon is conjunct Mercury but the two are sitting there by themselves. Venus is also unaspected and totally haywire because she is Retrograde. Venus rules a person's feeling of being both loving and lovable and also shows his/her popularity. When she's constipated in Rx motion she sort of turns on herself. Totally appropriate for two old women who have lost all connection to the world, especially after both having been super popular and successful as movie actresses in the past. They've experienced a big fall which makes their situation even more difficult. Again, the entire audience would have been affected by these aspects on the night that the movie showed and it's just an interesting coincidence that the story projects these traits!

Looking farther into the chart we see that there is a Mars-Saturn opposition placed over the Nodal Axis in Leo-Aquarius (respectively). First off, A Leo North Node is just great for movie makers as Leo rules Drama. Mars conjunct the North Node suggests a fight and aggression. Great for conflict. Psychologically Leo North Node seems to need too much attention. It wants to move toward the spotlight. It is ruled by the Sun and shows that the need for being center stage has to balance with the need to be part of the crowd/audience.

Psychologically, Mars rules competition & youthfulness which describes where Bette Davis' role. She is stuck in her child's mind. Joan is stuck in her crippled body (Saturn literally rules bones) She seems to suggest Saturn. Mars is youth and Saturn is maturity. Saturn wants control and Mars acts without control. During the whole movie there is this tension (opposition) between these two forces. They express themselves through Leo/Aquarius which represent the conflict between Egotism and Group Involvement. At the end of the movie she reveals that ... oh I won't spoil it. Anyway, Bette's insane and abusive and all the blame seems to be on her until Joan comes clean at the end of the movie. Saturn rules guilt. Together they have been stuck in an abusive relationship in their decaying home for years in an unresolved fight over who is most popular and successful.

Another interesting aspect is a big opposition between Jupiter-Chiron in Pisces and Uranus-Pluto in Virgo. Outer planets are slow moving and show the generational attitudes of a generation. An opposition is actually the perfect setting for Horror especially in the signs of Virgo-Pisces as they are here. Pisces, obviously rules all things that can't be seen or understood clearly. At the opposite end, Virgo rules sensibility and middle ground. Both are feminine signs. A while back I took a class on writing screenplays for Horror movies and, as the class was taught I was struck by how "Virgonian" a Horror movie protagonist must be (I was going through a phase of painting pictures of women screaming, and the teacher was really good which is why I was sitting in a Horror Writing class. If you ever have a free week-end and want to sit through a magical class take a screenwriting class from Robert McKee. He lectures non-stop for 2 or 3 days in the most entertaining, insightful and organized way. )

During the class McKee showed the movie Alien and then gave a scene by scene explanation of how Horror is portrayed through the film. Sigourney Weaver's character is the perfect Virgo Hero. For one, she is, along with her co-workers, an employee on a cargo ship. Her drama has to come while she is on the job. On another level, McKee explained, she is the one who survives because she maintains the most sensible and realistic, most grounded character of everyone on the space ship. She doesn't flip out, she knows when to act and when to hold back.

I always tend to think that Virgo is the most reasonable sign (unless in a sibling relationship that is where they are absolutely horrible people) and figure that the Uranus-Pluto audience probably craved these ugly horror movies more than audiences from other times. In Baby Jane, I suppose we could assume that Joan Crawford's character is the Virgo character and Davis' character, well, I don't know what sign she would be except as said before she is stuck in a Mars state. And, personally, I sort of think that in the case of this movie, the audience, especially the women who grew up with jealous sisters, are the true survivors.

Uranus, Venus, Mercury and Jupiter in Libra were all in the 3d House of Communications. Amazing how this works out.

The Scorpio Sun was opposing Saturn and this opposition was on the angles in the 4th/10th Houses all along. This shows the roots in the Sciences I guess. An hour after the initial transmission the Sun-Saturn opposition was layered over the IC/MC axis within a degree. After that the Sun would have moved into the 3d House of Communications and the Celebrations would have begun.

Cougar Barbie

American Doll Sensation of My Childhood, Barbie, is 50 years old. I missed her Birthday by about a week but once you're this old you really don't give a shyte if anybody really remembers. At this age you're just an old Cougar. Those 60s stretch pants and tiger stripes just really don't cut it after a certain age. Or do they? Birthday Cake? "I'm not blowing that thing out it will show all my wrinkles." Well, I suppose that Barbie's spent wads on Botox at this point and doesn't give these matters a second thought. Sorry, Barbie, the big let down about Age 50 is that you gotta go through your Chiron Return. "Too Soon We Get Old; Too Late We Get Wise." That's Chiron's motto. My Grandmother used to say it all the time.

Barbie, for those who either don't know because they weren't born yet or for those who loved and adored their Barbies (like me) and can't remember because Alzheimer's is no longer considered "Early Onset" -- Barbie is a Doll. When any Toy turns 50 it is officially considered an Antique. So Barbie, Sorry Doll, you are a Golden Oldie.

But pay that no mind. Shirley Temple Dolls were considered a "Doll" Sensation as well back when my Mother was growing up and I remember watching the real Shirley Temple laugh about how she had just turned 50 and was considered an Antique. She was absolutely adored by Antique Dealers by that point and was also a well-respected Politician.

On her last Birthday she was not only going through her Solar Return, but was also going through a Venus Return at 16 Aries and a Chiron Return which was joined by transiting Neptune and Mars. That's not all, pretty much all of the outer planets were aspecting something or other in Barbie's chart. I'm haven't been seen the Walgreen's shelves bulging with Age 50 Barbies the same way that Age 40 Barbies were marketed. Guess it means a different thing to be turning 50 during a major economic downturn. With Pluto in Capricorn I have actually heard that thin lips are now considered sexy. Hmm, maybe that was a delusion. If that's so, Barbie's got to undo those Collagen lips. When Pluto's on your natal Saturn, there's probably more than that one has to undo, but best not to wreck the festivities with that irrelevant silliness.

So Barbie is a Double Pisces which means that she was let loose on the American Public during a Pisces New Moon. Pisces rules Glamour and Barbie was the first curvy, modern adult doll that young American girls had to play with. By fun coincidence her most inspired body part is considered the Feet. Well, in addition to those boobs. (The boobs probably come from the original German Doll that Barbie was cloned/stolen from). Explains those tiny curvy high-heel feet that inspired 3 generations of Birkenstock wearers among us. Barbie was Modern and yet her feet were perpetually bound to fit only high heels that suggest an Imperialistic Chinese upbringing.

But, I hate to say, Barbie wasn't an American Original. She was a Copy Cat based curvy arch to curvy arch on a German Doll named Lilli by the Mattel Toy Company Owner's wife, Ruth Handler. I seem to remember that she was created in some sort of uber new plastic which was meant to last and last and last. As kids we used to test the durability of the plastic in all kinds of sadistic ways which I'm sure would be considered anti-social by the psychologists these days.

So Ruth Handler was Mr. Mattel's wife, traveling through German toy stores looking for ideas to borrow I guess for her husband's company. She found the Bild Lilli doll which was originally created in 1955 and based on a German Cartoon written by Reinhard Beuthien which was first published in June 24, 1952. Beuthien was told to fill a spot for an empty cartoon spot in a paper. He made the original cartoon about a big baby. Pretty funny considering there was a New Moon in Cancer, sign of the Baby, on the day of Lilli's publication. There were also 3 other planets in Cancer that day. The Sun was conjunct Venus and Mercury was conjunct Uranus in Cancer.

As the Wikipedia article states, Beuthien was told to change the character because it disgusted his editor. Beuthien kept the Big Baby Head, the big round eyes, the pouty lips and the bulbous forehead and stuck a really sexy, modern woman's body on it. Big boobs, long legs and those creepy little feet. But, the German Barbie had lots of personality. She was a double Cancer like Leona Helmsly and Courtney Love, after all. She was a modern woman who earned her own way and was a brazen gold digger. Her wit was really raunchy. Those lucky German girls got to quote such comments as (from Wikipedia article on Lilli: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild_Lilli_doll). Anyways, one can see the Mercury-Uranus conjunction at work:

• "I could do without balding old men but my budget couldn't!"

• The cartoon always consisted of a picture of Lilli talking to girlfriends, boyfriends, her boss ("As you were angry when I was late this morning I will leave the office at five p.m. sharp!").

• to a policeman who told her that two-piece-swimsuits are banned: "Which piece do you want me to take off?"

• "Of course I'm interested in politics; no one should ignore the way some politicians dress!"

• the beauty of nature: "The sunrise is so beautiful that I always stay late at the nightclub to see it!".

Mrs. Mattel loved the doll -- she was oh so fashionable. The Mae West comments apparently didn't carry over into the Americas. Eventually Lilli was discontinued and there is talk of a law suit. No matter, Mattel cranked out the Barbies and they were an instant sensation. American Barbie had no real personality, she was simply a modern fashion statement who came with lots of accessories. Her Venus was at 17 Aries in conjunction with her South Node at 15 Libra. Her Sun was squaring Mars. And she was re-born from the Neptune in Libra/Pluto in Leo generation into the Neptune in Scorpio/Pluto in Virgo generation. One can see the loss of playfulness between the generations. Kind of interesting, though, that a post-war German doll is so much more playful than a 1960's American Doll, but pay that no mind.

Mrs. Mattel was a Scorpio which rounds out the story into a Water Sign saga but I'm busy screwing up my life and can't really wonder too much what that statement means. The story pretty much sums it up anyway.

Cell Phone Over the Heart

Here's a classic Scorpio story.

I just read about a man who was mowing his 5 acre lawn in his tractor when suddenly he felt a big pain in his chest. He probably thought he was having a Heart Attack but it turns out that a stray bullet had shot out of the woods by his home and just happened to hit him in his chest. He had also just happened to have put his cell phone in his chest pocket and the bullet had hit him right where the phone was.

The Sun rules the Heart and Scorpio rules Death (and, ahem, Rebirth). Mercury rules Cell Phones and Mars rules Bullets. All three of these planets have been in conjunction over the past week in Scorpio. According to this story (http://www.wdsu.com/news/18020334/detail.html#-) the incident happened last Saturday (Nov. 15, 2008) when Sun,Mercury and Mars were splayed over the last half of the sign of Scorpio the Phoenix.

Don't know what time the incident occurred; Hunters and Lawn Mowers tend to wake up at the crack of Dawn. It would be interesting if this incident happened just as the Sun was rising so that Sun-Mercury-Mars would be rising on the Ascendant.

One can see how the Story has a happy ending through the aspects that this stellium makes. Mercury 18 Scorpio was in conjunction with Sun 24 Scorpio. This was hooked into a lucky Boat Shape pattern which is a string of happy sextiles held together by an opposition. In this case Saturn-Uranus were making the opposition and lucky Jupiter was filling in the other side of the sextile string. Sun-Mercury were also in aspect with Neptune (belief) and Chiron (wounding) in Aquarius (uniqueness).

The inner planets here seem to be showing the actions of the person to whom the event occurred (Cell Phone (Mercury) saves Man from Bullet (Mars)) while the Outer Planets show the events that happen to him. (Accident (Uranus), Luck (Jupiter), Security & Safety (Saturn)).

Oh, and to add to the drama, we can't forget about Pluto. Pluto rules Scorpio so one has to wonder what he was up to last Saturday. Not to disappoint, he and Venus were dancing an unaspected watoosee (i.e. conjunction by ptomlomaic aspect) over the Sadge-Capricorn cusp. That makes for an extreme event in the signs of Security and just plain old Dumb Luck.
