Neptune-Pluto Sextile Stuff

I just realized a couple of things about outer planet transits.  This would be a big doi for most astrologers I guess but I'm just catching on.

When you have a long term planetary aspect this means that no one born during that time will have an unaspected planet in his or her chart.

Am wondering how that works out for all of us who are born during this long Neptune-Pluto sextile.  It moves in and out of orb and has changed signs but so many people born within the last 50 or so years share it.  Because of their long orbits no one on earth can experience a full cycle of either of these planets.  It's sort of as if we have "talent" (sextile) for understanding what most generations before us thought was mystery.  Kind of interesting how our generations aren't producing any original art, Religion has been given backseat to Science, and We are extremely materialistic.  All the natural Neptune-Pluto interpretations seem to not exist.  The Pluto in Leos have strong belief in Astrology but the Pluto in Virgos and Libras don't seem to.

Lots of ways to translate this.

Both Pluto and Neptune rule Water signs.  Water is becoming the biggest concern with global warming. There's a study from out of a school in Wisconsin about how the tap water supplies in Wisconsin (maybe it was Minnesota) and California has fecal contamination because the underground plumbing infrastructure is broken. Just try going into a Health or Water dept to explain this.  You will get nothing but denial.  Actually the reaction is so Neptunian it's unbelievable.

The other planet which rules Water is the Moon.  This functions at the completely opposite side of the life span cycles in humans.  The Lunar Cycle is the first cycle a baby completes.  It's the shortest cycle and humans have way more Lunar Cycles than any other planet. I know, the Moon isn't a planet, it's a Moon.  Curing first year of life, Babies have at least 10 Lunar Returns before completing any other planetary cycle if they happen to have their first Mercury Return at its earliest which is 10 months.  Learning how to receive Love and to reflect it back is the most important human survival skill maybe.  Maybe we just need to develop ability to process hydration in our systems before anything else.

A drunk tattoo artist went into the Clyfford Still Museum in Denver, Colorado, pulled down her pants, and had what sounds like sexual relations with one of Clyfford Still's paintings, a 9 1/2 by 12 foot abstraction in Red, Black, White and Yellow that was created in 1957.

Our Lady of the Taboo is currently 36 years old, suffers from alcoholism, and, has done what I wanted to do every time I saw a Clyfford Still painting. And although I know what she did is wrong, taboo as it were and pretty damn rude, I can't help but feel awestruck. Still's paintings are the best representations of American spirit I can think of.

Maybe Age of Aquarius will only allow robots to get crazy. It's too difficult to do stuff like this whilst sober and medicated and spied on by spy cams and cell phones and traffic cams and computer hackers from foreign countries who can get away with being here just because the mob brought them over and now I even read that the police are using the drones to catch people in North Dakota.

As I said, Clyfford Still painted Freedom, the old time U.S. spirit. He was a Sagittarius. And his masterpiece just got peed on, 10,000 dollars worth. (We only think in terms of dollars now, either because we have too much or we don't have any or both).

I'm sort of wondering why Neptune in Aquarius didn't act out sooner. The planet of chaos in the sign of weirdness. Last degree, last regrets, I guess.

I don't have Carmen Tisch's birth date. Thank God, as if she doesn't have enough to worry about right now, she could have me fiddling around with her planetary placements. All I know is that Sobriety sucks until you get to her advanced level of intoxication.

Tisch is 36 years old which means she's heading into her 2d Nodal Return. The Nodes represent Life Path/Destiny, or something close to thatso she is at an age which maybe is connected with reassessing one's purpose in life and why one has or hasn't made it yet, same as what happens right before one turns 19.

Interesting that the event chart shows the Nodal Axis crossing the ASC/DESC angle. Over at the Descendant, The North Node was conjunct both that angle and the chart ruler, Mercury. Still was a Sagittarius in early degrees so his natal Sun would have just passed over the Descendant/NN/Mercury conjunction.

Neptune, planet of boundarilessness and superconsciousness, often connected with Artists (but not really in Still's chart), and whatever else you call things you can't possibly understand in one lifetime, was conjunct the Midheaven. That's the other angle on the Astrology Wheel and so is another significant placement.

Appropriately, I found this quote made by Clyfford Still over at Wikipedia:

"It's intolerable to be stopped by a frame's edge."

I told you he was a Sadge. They don't like being hemmed in.

And, yeah, the booze helps in Carmen Tisch's case.

When hooking up Clyfford Still's natal chart to the event chart we see all kinds of interesting connections with the planet Pluto. Pluto rules Sex, Death and all that is Taboo and cant' be spoken about. Pluto rules magneticism and the occult. It's the higher octave of Mars so instead of chasing the way that Mars does it draws you in and makes you confront the Devil. Pluto rules the Human Will. And Human Will is what Human creativity is all about.

Still's natal Pluto was at 21 Gemini so was rising at the time of his painting's interaction with an admirer. That means that it was in conjunction with the Ascendant and South Node of the event chart.

Since the ASC/DESC show the compulsion for human relations I suppose this would be a great time for a dead man's soul to break out of the underworld and enjoy a little one on one with the good looking girl staring at your painting. Too bad she had to hit and scratch it. I think she also slid down it. Why wasn't anybody taking a video of this event? God, the only thing that ever gets photographed anymore are mass shootings.

Still's Natal Node Axis was squaring the transiting Axis-ASC/DESC pole as well. Maybe he was thinking he could reincarnate this way? Weird.

Anyways, Still's natal Neptune was also being pulled out from its proverbial grave as there was a tight opposition from the Sun and Pluto on this day as well. Natal Neptune is at 8 Cancer. Transiting Sun c. Neptune opposing From 8 Capricorn. Neptune and Pluto are strongly connected with psychic experience so I sort of wonder what actually was going on in that museum from a psychic realm point of view. Noel Tyl does describe Neptune-Pluto connections as "Wipe Outs." In this case, it seems that it was more of a scratch out. Oh, and Tisch was so drunk she managed to wet what would have been her pants had she been wearing them.

Guy Fawkes and His BFF Tim Geithner (that's a joke)

This won't be a long post. (Oops)

I'm trying to write a post about how nobody ever gives Tim Geithner any credit. I don't hold much against him because the astrology right now pretty much says we're in a long term phase of financial depression that repeats the similar problems of the Long Depression that occurred at the end of the 19th century. That one lasted 20 years. I don't expect things to get better real fast this time, but I'm such a pessimist my opinions can be said to err on the down side. In other words, what do I know?

It's amazing to me that Geithner has managed to keep the stock market up at the high levels as it is. It hasn't really gone beyond a certain point, but it keeps heaving up and down, kind of like it's on a ventilator in a chemically induced coma. Just enough to let the 401ks juggle things around a bit.

Clearly Geithner's staging this stuff (strong Leo influence in his chart). It's a magic trick and an illusion.

But, right now, because no one ever gives Tim Geithner enough credit, everyone is giving Guy Fawkes a bunch of credit. Plus, the recession/depression has gone on too long. And some eco-marketing firm up in Canada had the brains to inject our instincts for mobbing into generally more constructive avenues. And there's some illusion in this as well. Magic Federal Reserve Chairman Boyfriend Ben Bernanke said he doesn't really blame them, the Occupy Wall St people. Some of them are sort of dumb and are burning small businesses down.

Bernanke loves a committee. Somehow I get the feeling that Tim Geithner doesn't. That's why Ben Bernanke is so loveable and why I keep forgetting to look at Geithner's chart maybe? Uranus loves a committee. Oh well, I won't go there.

I couldn't really figure out why the Guy Fawkes stuff is so popular right now, the Occupy Wall Street movement has only questions and no answers,

Then a gang stalker walked by me today (they stare extra long with a taunting we've got you bitch, you should see what I've just done to your car and your credit score and everyone you know). This guy had a Guy Fawkes beard, like he had dressed up like all the rest of the Guy Fawkes fans on November 5, and he was clearly pissed off with me for being white. Then it hit me. Sort of. It's the Catholics. The Catholics are protesting.

Geithner has a conjunction of Sun-Mercury-Uranus to the NN in Leo which explains the big forehead and mass of hair. He might also be grouchy because his thinking is erratic and he expresses himself verbally in ways that sometimes shock people. This stellium is unaspected except for an inconjunct to a Jupiter-Saturn conjunction (both retrograde) in Capricorn. That's lots of potent energy that doesn't flow easily. It helps that both signatures show high intelligence of some sort so Geithner is not going to be as at odds blending these energies as some of us might be.

Inconjuncts are minor aspects and their connection is very odd. The keyword for inconjuncts is "Adjustment." The signs that are connected don't share similarities which means they are difficult to express together. Both signs, Leo and Capricorn do rule talent for leadership. Geithner seems to be trying to fix the problem, but the problem may be outdated (Jupiter-Saturn in Capricorn Rx). At any rate, that Jupiter-Saturn thing shows that Geithner was born during a year which socially represents the top of the heap. There's a sense that we are falling backwards or down instead of upwards towards a common goal. Well, the Guy Fawkes people want to revel against the system too.

Sun-Mercury-Uranus-NN in Leo shows a lot of intuitive brains. It wouldn't be enough to hack Geithner's computers, you'd have to also hack his brain. And you'd have to be really really fast. The Leo and Capricorn shows that perhaps he doesn't like to work with others. It's partly that lack of flow thing I mentioned earlier. It's partly that he's got a Hero complex. It's partly other stuff which I'll continue to babble about.

People like people who flow. They make you feel like you're not stuck anywhere. Guy Fawkes had flow. At least his astro chart did. He had one and possibly two Grand Trines in his chart. AT execution time he jumped off the stage before he was hung in order to avoid the final humiliation.

I remember reading that Geithner didn't hire staff for a long time after taking his job as whatever his title is. This would be a very Leo/Capricorn kind of way of doing things. Leo has a Hero complex and Heroes tend to stand out by themselves.

I was just thinking the other day about how a Democracy is exactly the wrong type of political philosophy for getting countries out of the deep do-do that we're currently in. Everything takes too long by committee. Tyrants can get things done and that's not always a bad thing, except that sometimes they turn mean. Ben Bernanke likes committees. We all like Ben Bernanke. Ben is very smart, he's super cute, I tend to think that I'm watching a guy playing baseball rather than a world economy tanking, but Bernanke's forehead isn't as big as Geithner's. Interesting that both men are Fire Suns with Water Moons.

That's a lot of steam.

Back to Guy Fawkes. Guy Fawkes was a rebel. That's how history talks about him right now at any rate. According to an astrology blog that was posted which I can't remember the name of, _--------- (it was British and it was really good), we don't know Guy Fawkes' birthday. He was christened on Apr. 16, 1570. People say he was born on Apr. 13, 1570 but nobody knows for sure.

My computer program says that Fawkes was a Taurus, not an Aries, because he was born during Old School calendar, same as Leonardo da Vinci. Taurus would explain why his name comes up in discussions about finances.

Taurus rules finances and art. Fawkes is known for his pointy chin goatee which seems like a Taurus thing since Taurus rules the lower jaw and neck area. Most people think he's an Aries Sun which he could be. Obviously I don't know, but isn't it interesting how people never assume that a person is a Taurus, have you ever noticed that?. I don't know what Old School and New School calendars mean. Someone once told me but I forgot. Something which has to do with what the Pope wanted. Funny how this post is supposed to be about people who are dealing with finances of our times and keeps turning intostuff about religions (which I've mostly edited out by now).

(I like the Buddhists. Remember the Buddhists? My Father said that Buddhism is the best religion but Buddhism doesn't work in the markets and that's why people don't embrace it. Well, except for Steve Jobs.)

Like I said, Fawkes would have had a lot of flow because he had at least one Grand trine. He could probably get away with more in life than most people can. Or at least he thought he could get away with more and then he got caught. He was born during an outer planet Grand Trine in Air. Jupiter 15 Aquarius trine Saturn 18 Libra Rx trine Neptune 20 Gemini. This Grand Trine is activated right now because this chart (Fawkes') is going through a Saturn Return.

The Apr. 13 date also gives another Grand Trine, this time in Earth, which would be activated by transiting Pluto right now. Sun 3 Taurus would be trine NN 6 Virgo trine Uranus 4 Capricorn Rx. Uranus rules rebellions, Sun rules Risk, so there you go. The guy was unpredictable and inspirational. And I think that Grand Trines are great for spies so he probably was good at working people.

Fawkes' Virgo NN might show why the Pluto in Virgo generation has a strong fascination with this guy. I'm sort of embarrassed to say that the V for Vendetta phenomenon began with a comic strip which is the best art form of my generation and a source of great embarrassment to me. Virgo seems to be strongly connected with the markets and material world and so is better with the graphics arts than with the "high arts". If it is great art nobody will want it until 100 years after you are dead and what smart Virgo is going to go along with that kind of pain? Oh well, power to the people who do crafty crap. And people who live in the middle class.

Kind of interesting that the Middle Class has pretty much disappeared from the Pluto in Virgo generation. That's a discussion which could go on and on so I'll avoid it. The anonymous hackers have found that they have a talent which they can get away with no matter how much pain it causes others so they are finding a great outlet in Fawkes and not Geithner the Leo who represents the old school idea to them. Geithner's chart shows a strong Romantic side so I think his generation sort of bugs him.

Right now Fawkes is going through a Mars Return in Leo. With Mars in Leo, Fawkes had a noble side as well as a foolish side, as do all Mars in Leos. He wanted to be heroic. He wanted to do the right thing. The New York Occupy people haven't killed anybody but there have been some problems in other places like Oakland and Oklahoma. Does it have something to do with place names that begin with the letter O, long form? Oakland always riots and the truth is this is because the people who live there are mean.

I wonder if this is mostly a 25-year old Boy thing overall. Especially White Boys. The government is trying to get them to perk up because they aren't eligible for Affirmative Action and they commit suicide a lot when they get older. Uranus is at 1 Aries which shows that the spark has to come before the plan. That's interesting. That's a lesson that Saturn has to learn.

Fawkes also had a square of Neptune 20 Gemini to Pluto at 23 Pisces. So he was born during a time when mysticism would have wreaked havoc amongst the peoples? There is probably more than the usual amount of stuff that people feel that they can't explain when Neptune and Pluto are in bad aspect with each other. They would have really struggled with things like Religions which are trying to explain it all away with some story about Virgins and a guy who will forgive for torturing him to death. Today with this long winding Neptune-Pluto sextile that keeps phasing in and out we are finding out about more mysteries through Science. Healers are still self professed and sometimes that gets a little stupid.

Back in Guy Fawkes' day, people probably did have mystical powers and it wasn't because they were trying so hard; or at least they figured they needed to develop mystical powers in order to deal with what life was throwing at them. People can never really fully know the powers of either Neptune or Pluto because we will never experience a full return of those planets to our natal charts. It sure is interesting that during the Age of Aquarius many of us can expect to live through our first Uranus Return, Age 83-84.

Right now, Fawkes' chart is also going through a Chiron Return conjunct Neptune. Chiron is at 27 Aquarius. That's an extra mystical Chiron Return which involves crowds of people and mobs. I'm just finishing that one up and I have the same Chiron placement within a degree. I got to be gang stalked by the scum of the earth who is now running around in Guy Fawkes' masks.

Weirdness, Geithner is also entering his Chiron Return. They have chiron in different signs. Fawkes in Aquarius. Geithner in Pisces. And, of course, it's just plain weird that I'm comparing their two charts in one blog.

Chiron in Aquarius: Healing and Failure of "The People." That's a universal problem for all of humanity to deal with. The Catholics have consistently failed to deal with this but they keep on waving their incense burners. Problem with the Catholics is that, as I said before, everywhere they go an Inquisition follows. I'm not fond of Religions because they separate people for no reason, but when you fail at money you tend to turn towards God so what else can a person do? The Catholics are probably actually rebelling only because Oprah went off the air. They need to be told that everything can be healed.

So, this brings me back to Tim Geithner who nobody gives credit to. Saturn and Jupiter Rx. His Father never gave him credit? He's strongly Leo so he's got more than the usual amount of confidence?

Problem with Leo is that the Stars never stay the same and the Sun constantly progresses and Leo Sun have it bad in that respect. You're all shiny and unselfconscious and then your Sun takes on the flavor of Virgo which sits there feeling embarrassed for everyone else. Then it moves into Libra and doesn't know what end is up. Do you want to drive or shall I? Do you want to open the window, or shall I? Libra can see all sides. That's only because Leo opens the heart and Virgo brings a sense of servitude. By the time they become shrinks later on in life Libras can pretty much articulate everything that bothers another person.

Geithner's Moon would be the real kicker in his chart and I can't really place it because I don't have his birth time. At noon it's in middle degrees Scorpio. At that point it's in conjunction with Neptune in Scorpio. Scorpio rules shared finances and very often that equals: Crises. People don't really like to share finances, if you want to be honest about it and that's one of Scorpios' little challenges.

Scorpio, like Leo, is a fixed sign so combined as they are here shows that Geithner has staying power. Unlike Leo Scorpio likes to rule from behind the scenes.

If Moon is in conjunction with Neptune, this combined with Mercury c. Uranus in Geithner's chart shows two strong psychic connections of very different styles. Mercury-Uranus is very quick and intuitive, but Moon conjunct Neptune in Scorpio shows a highly psychic person whose feeling levels defy speed, but who is probably not good at explaining what's going on in his mind. That's why Geithner's head looks like the popcorn is just about ready.

People don't like what they don't understand and if Geithner has both of these aspects together people might feel that they can't trust him. Oh well, end of rant.

Will Rome Have An Earthquake on May 11?

Italians sure are good at predicting earthquakes. No one believes them. But, that doesn't stop them from trying to save everyone's lives. Remember that guy who almost got thrown in jail a couple of years ago? It's just the weird Uranus energy of earthquakes I guess, why people won't believe. Or maybe it's annoying to have to make plans ahead of time for something that may not happen. But, just think of all the other things that people will believe without questioning. Gossip and Rumor, for example. Everyone believes psychiatrists but their track record sucks when you bother to think about it. People believe the Weather man. People believe Politicians. Actually people just like to complain after the fact that Politicians don't live up to their campaign promises, they probably don't really ever believe them in the first place. People believe Drug Addicts. People trust illegal immigrants with pretty much everything. Most dangerous chemicals. Hotel Room keys. Children. It's amazing. They wouldn't trust any American from the same economic level, that's for sure.

Anyway, there was this incredible Italian seismologist who was both believed and disbelieved. He predicted 3 earthquakes. And then he apparently never told anyone how he did it. Just some story about how he walked on the beach one day and ideas came to him. But, thing is, he said there was something about how the Planets line up with, uh, the Sun and the Moon. And the Earth's crust....

Okay, time for an Interlude, just thinking about Italy and crusty things makes me so hungry:

So, Bendandi was hyper Cardinal. That fits with the Cardinal Sign/Earthquake theory. He possibly had a t-square in his natal chart which included the Sun, Moon and Nodal Axis. That means that he grew up absorbing the tension from his parents' miserable marriage. His Sun 25 Libra is in conjunction with the South Node and Saturn 17 Libra. He also has Mars 10 Libra. Don't have his birth time so don't have his correct Moon placement. Noon places Moon in mid Capricorn. With this Saturn, Venus stuff he could pretty much hear the rumblings in his bones.

But what else? His prediction dates show heavy influence on his natal chart. Bendandi was born during the big psychic conjunction of Pluto to Neptune in Gemini which was occurring around the years that he was born. Pluto is at 11 Gemini and Neptune is is 14 Gemini Rx. He also had Jupiter 1 Gemini. They are opposing Venus 7 Sagittarius and inconjunct a conjunction of Mercury 12 Scorpio to Uranus 11 Scorpio. That's hyper sensitive and intuitive at the same time. Don't try to simulate this at home by yourself. You were born into the wrong time zone.

Also, in the predictions I'm looking at the Sun is opposing major outer planets. It doesn't in Wednesday's earthquake, but the Sun will be squaring Moon in the Morning and the Nodal Axis will be at a key point. I haven't looked up all of his predictions though, just the ones for Italy. The Moon will oppose Neptune-Chiron in Pisces at some point during the day.

Eva Braun's Personal Photos

Life Magazine is reminding us all that they have personal photos of Hitler's mistress, Eva Braun, in their collection:

Braun is doing an Al Jolson in black face imitation. It looks like she was a lot of fun. It also looks like maybe she was a bit bipolar. Apparently, Braun met Hitler when she was 17 in October, 1929. The U.S. Stock Market crashed that month and Eva met Adolph. No further comment needed on that one except to note that transiting Pluto was just hitting Eva's natal 7th House Neptune which squared Nodal Axis. Sort of a tidal wave hitting your marriage partner house. Along came Hitler.

Hitler had a natal conjunction of Neptune-Pluto in his 8th House. I don't know what kind of sexual kinko comes along with that combination, but the two lower octave planets of that conjunction, Venus and Mars are in conjunction as well in his 7th House. He kept Eva sort of cooped up. The German public didn't even know she existed. What a lover boy. Waits until after he's forced to commit suicide because he's killed 6 million Jews and 3 million Catholics in order to pop the question to his lover of 16 years. 40 hours of Wedded Bliss. Wonder if she threw a shower.

He was 23 years her senior and was also messing around with his sister's half daughter who ended up killing herself. Braun then attempted to kill herself a couple of times. Once at Age 20 on Nov. 1, 1932 when she shot herself in the chest. Then she o'd'ed on pills on May 28, 1935. And, as I said, Eva, Age 33, and Hitler, Age 56, died in a mutual suicide 40 hours after they married. She was at that age when the Sun in your Solar Return chart is supposed to complete a cycle and he was just past his secondary Progressed Lunar Return. That is, we hope they died. They may still be alive and well or at least gently embalmed by now in Argentina.

The connections between these two charts is really incredible. Eva's 1st House just plain old did her in in the relationship department. According to Astrotheme she had Venus 9 Capricorn in conjunction with her 5 Capricorn Ascendant. This hooks up with Hitler's Moon-Jupiter conjunction.

Eva's progressed Venus, planet of partners and marriages tells the tale pretty well through the Secondary Progressions. Her first house had Lilith 17 Capricorn, Mercury 29 Capricorn, Uranus 1 Aquarius, Sun 17 Aquarius. She met Hitler when her progressed Venus hit that super strong Uranus in its own sign in her first house. They married and committed suicide when Venus was one degree away from leaving her first house. Her entire life was enveloped in experiencing that 1st House Venus.

Of course, there's way more. But this is creeping me out.

In Which I Take a Looksie at the 2012 Thing, Or at Least a Part of It

The U.S. right now is having a Saturn Return. Why are countries always bombing other countries during their Saturn Return?

This is a reminder (to me) that the U.S. Saturn is at 15 Libra (H10) and is in a square with Sun 14 Cancer (H7) and is opposing Chiron 21 Aries. The House placements are for what I seem to remember as the Sibley Chart with the Sagittarius Ascendant, give or take a couple of degrees.

So I'm still trying to catch on to the 2012 panic attack thing. That's when I believe the Earth will be lining up with the Galactic Center. And some other stuff.

What I just noticed the other day are the Solar Arcs. That's when the planets are all moved forward about one degree per along with the progression of the Sun. On Dec. 21, 2012. This is a good way to begin with this chart because it really lights up the natal planets in a super duper hysterical way.

At that point Solar Arc Pluto will be on top of natal Neptune at 23 Virgo, and Lilith will be close by. Wow, the U.S. just completely blacks out? In the Sibley Chart this occurs up in the 9th House. So public. So corrupt. At least we might get a couple of good paintings or symphonies out of it -- finally. Noel Tyl calls that aspect "Wipe Out." It will be a Beach Boys song from Hell? So either we wipe out the rest of the World or the Rest of the World wipes us out? Or this is just what happens when illegal immigration occurs from countries from 3d worlds. Bring us your greediest, your most aggressive, your least sensitive, intelligent or talented. And don't ever, never, pay taxes or nothing. And never show gratitude or grace. Just learn to use the Internet and steal from other people's accounts. Maybe it will be easy and the Afghanis will give up on their own country and come to our Country to plant their poppies. So, so pretty.

Or the Oceans wipe us out? Or become dead zones?

Or we become truly psychic beings who have stare-out contests with fish, wherein the fish win. Whalerider, anyone?

Either way, it's up at the top of the chart so people in other countries are going to be watching with baited breath, isn't fun having to have diplomatic relations with people who just want you to screw up so they can show up in your country and flush grease down the drains?

Maybe it's not all grease. Maybe some of the aliens are from other planets. Maybe we'll feed them to the fish. Either way, Stephen Hawking has already warned us about Stranger Danger so we're partially prepared. You see those big old mesmerizing Neptune-Pluto eyes and, baby, you fucking book it the hell out of there!

Imagine two spirals spiraling here.

The U.S. has a natal square from Mars in Gemini (H7) to natal Neptune. When Pluto is added that could indicate that things get a little unfriendly. One could look at which houses these planets rule to get more info but I don't like to get that involved with a chart with only a speculative Rising Sign. (Okay, okay, Mars rules the IC of the Placidus Sibley chart, Pluto rules H11 and H12, and Neptune rules Pisces which is completely intercepted in the 3d House. So, there will be territoriality issues.)

And then right there on the Descendant of the Sibley Chart Saturn will be just past conjunction with the country's natal Uranus is at 9-10 Gemini (Desc 13 Gemini?). Saturn and Uranus don't really get along well with each other in mythology. Saturn represents the Old Guard who tries to contain Uranus and Uranus represents the New Guard. And their fight is basically a total drag because it starts the Wheel on its downward turn. People will have just an inkling of why we need introverts. And why our thinkers need more depth. And why we don't have the old creative spark to get through it all the way we used to. This will happen in the sign of Gemini which rules Siblings, Neighbors, Communications, Transportation. Actually Gemini is a very creative sign with all kinds of thoughts about how to fix problems and the U.S. Uranus is trining the U.S. Saturn and the Solar Arc Uranus will be trining from its own sign of Uranus (H2).

So, Houses involved in the Sibley Chart are H2 (Banks, Money, Values, Material Objects), H6-7 cusp (Partners, Marriages, Open Enemies, Diplomacy), and H10 (Status, Ambition, Direction). Grand Trines can show Ease of Feelings, Flow. Can also show self-satisfaction and self-containment and this will manifest through mental (Air) channels of detachment, reason (wouldn't that be nice for a change?).

The other big Solar Arc conjunction is Solar Arc Venus at 28 Aquarius which is conjunct the U.S. Sibley Moon at 28 Aquarius. More detachment. That's so Age of Aquariusy. This is in the 3d House of communications, early education, neighbors, siblings, etc. Maybe there will be a big change in public schooling. Parents will write a year long excuse to stay out of class for their kids.

In the secondary progressed Chart there is a long opposition of Venus to Mars layered over the U.S. Saturn-Chiron opposition. Venus on Chiron in H4 of Sibley and Mars Rx over Saturn. In 2012 p.Moon and p. Lilith will be over natal Saturn. Oh God, that's women. Sarah Palin may really run for President. How sad.

Squaring that is natal Sun, of course, which is in a very long term conjunction with progressed Jupiter which is moving in Retrograde back towards Sun from the 8th House.

So, that Sun-Saturn-Chiron t-square is heavily lit up.

Then we look at the transits to ask why Dec. 21?

Mercury and Venus will be at 16 and 8 Sagittarius right over the Ascendant. They will be opposing natal Uranus, SA Saturn and transiting Jupiter at 9 Gemini! And Lilith will be there, Lilith is always there when something happens.

Then the Moon will at some point during the day pass over natal Chiron 20 Aries in the 4th House. This will trip off the Saturn-Sun-Chiron t-square. So there is an emphasis on 1st House: Our Identity is heavily challenged by folks who are doing their Jupiter-Saturn thing. And by coincidence, the transiting Sun and Pluto will be in the 1st House of the Sibley Chart. And Mars will be in conjunction with natal Pluto (Will) in the 2d House (Values). And that's Capricorn.

And Neptune will have just moved into Pisces, it's own sign. There will have been an Eclipse Set back in November: Nov. 13 (Total Solar) and Nov. 28 (Appulse Lunar).

Viktor Schauberger

This post is probably about the guy who invented flying saucers! That's right, June Lockhart, if the United States Air Force hadn't confiscated this guy's papers maybe he could have finished his design and the Jetsons Cartoon hour would have become reality. (We won't discuss the Global Warming "embarassment"). Schauberger knew all along that modern 20th century carbon based machinery knocks everything out of balance.

Schauberger was a forester who grew up under a tree in Austria. He was fascinated by the way that streams and creeks flow. He used his first observations on nature to figure out ways to transport logs down streams in ways which saved huge amounts of transportation money for the foresters. He developed a theory that "nature creates vortices to create equilibria." As 4th House/Cancer rules drains I guess the astrology is right on target. Schauberger developed theories about the structure of water. He said it is densest when cold and also just after the Full Moon. Interesting because he himself was born just after a Full Moon. I'm getting and probably misinterpreting his theories from the blurb on Wikipedia so go there for a better explanation. There is a great movie by Caleb Coates about Schauberger's theories. The first part has an incredible explanation about how Trout live perfect lives just because of how they are shaped. They can let the current of the water flow right past them in perfect waves while they remain motionless. All they have to do is open their mouths in order to let the algae and plankton food come right into them. It's one of my all time favorite scenes from a documentary.

As the Wikipedia article says, Schauberger felt that "nature creates vortices to create equilibria." I was looking for Libra influence in his chart and didn't notice anything outstanding. However, his North Node is at 30 Virgo. This means that it had just finished an entire transit of Libra so he was perhaps born with a special amount of knowledge in all things Libra. It is also conjunct Uranus which shows an ability to be very innovative. And this is still considered an Aries Point which brings public prominence to whatever expression he uses of that energy.

Schauberger was trying to figure out ways to create effortless natural motion. This hooks into his natal chart and the transits of his life perfectly as Schauberger was born during a very powerful trine aspect. He was born during the big 19th century conjunction of Neptune to Pluto so he was part of a generation that was given an abnormal amount of information about all things mysterious and beyond understanding of normal human behaviors. These are the two outer most "Planets" in the solar system (well until recently). They are also the only two planets which human beings can never experience an entire cycle of in their lifetimes.

Neptune 25 Taurus c. Pluto 3 Gemini was trining an exact conjunction of Uranus to the North Node at 30 Virgo in Schauberger's chart which I talked about earlier. Uranus rules innovation and Virgo is an earth sign known for exceptional abilities in technology and understandings of how things work. This trine may actually expand out into a Grand Trine with Schauberger's natal Aquarius Moon. How's that for an innovator of working with "effortless natural motion" and the structure of water and how things flow and really incredible understandings of how to work with, not against, Nature? If you want to understand how to make things move, don't build a motor (Mars), let them flow in the direction that works best. Yay! Come on Americans, work this!

Okay, I don't have a time for his Moon but it will be in Aquarius.

So, it appears that Schauberger fell in with a bad crowd. Namely, he fell in with Hitler. Grand Trines can make a person a little too trusting. I've seen them come up in the charts of spies, however, because they can usually help a person get out of whatever he gets in to.

According to Wiki, Schauberger first met Hitler in 1934. So perhaps he willingly fell in with Nazi ways of thinking at first, eventually he was forced to work for them. Maybe at that point Hitler was interesting. The Swastika was originally an ancient symbol for something I don't know what. It looks like things got weird really fast, however, and by Schauberger was sent to a mental hospital in 1941 where he was incarcerated. He was forced to design for the Nazis after that. In 1944 he had designed something called a Repulsine which is basically a UFO. In 1945 he designed a Klimator which was to cool and warm air in living spaces.

After the war the U.S. kept Schauberger in custody for 9 more months. At that point they and the Russians confiscated his papers and prototypes. The timing hooks up too beautifully with the U.S. interest in UFOs. The War ended 1945. The U.S. Air Force set up various projects which studied Unidentified Flying Objects from 1947 to 1969. These were called Project Sign, Project Grudge, and Project Blue Book. Kenneth Arnold (I wrote about his sightings in a previous blog post) reported the first sighting of a UFO at Mount Rainier, Washington on June 24, 1947. The guy who was in charge of Project Blue Book was also a Cancer. It looks like Cancers have a natural fascination with the vortices. I guess also that Pluto's transit over their Cancer Suns early in life gave them a little extra oomph in occult understandings.

So, back to Schauberger's natal chart. Mercury 13 Cancer is out of bounds in his natal chart at 24 degrees 25 minutes. This says that there is something exceptional in his thinking processes. His memory would have been really long, it would have gone all the way back to the big bang probably. Mercury is conjunct Sun 9 Cancer. Both of these would have passed over Venus 25 Cancer by progression early on. Perhaps this is why he began to understand the need to keep things in balance early on. He has no planets in Fire in his chart, perhaps this explains why he has such an interest in motion and speed and expense of energy.

So then the yucky. Here comes Hitler. Schauberger was born with no planets Retrograde. That's sort of unusual but also indicates that he didn't have to doubt himself much early on and can lead to great leaps of creativity. Schauberger's Mercury Stationed Retrograde in 1935 the year after he met Hitler. This was at 19 Virgo. (Remember, he's got that conjunction of Uranus-NN on the last degree of Virgo.) This will show that something is slowing down in his mental processes. In his case "slowing down" could be interpreted in really interesting ways. Either way, his judgement and ability to express himself clearly might not have been at peak performance. Also, his progressed Sun was at 26 Leo which is squaring his natal Neptune-Pluto conjunction over the Taurus-Gemini cusp. Sun squares to Neptune-Pluto? OO-boy, that's just a tough one. By 1941 he was halfway through creation of his UFO. He was also sent to a mental institution. Considering the progressions, he may have been acting oddly, but wouldn't you be acting oddly as well if this is the type of stuff you were capable of creating? At any rate, Neptune rules being incarcerated, Pluto:paranoia, so, there you have it.

In 1941 when Schauberger was incarcerated there was a conjunction of Saturn-Uranus at the cusp of Taurus-Gemini (1 degree for Uranus) which was trining a conjunction of Neptune to the North Node at the end of Virgo (22-28 degrees). This is layered right over Schauberger's big natal Trine of Neptune-Pluto to Uranus-NN! In May of that year there was actually a huge stellium in Taurus right over his natal Neptune: Lilith, Mercury, Sun, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus (Jupiter and Uranus right over Neptune).

His progressed Mercury was also Rx in the vicinity of Neptune-NN transit at 18 Virgo along with p.Jupiter at 14 Virgo. And his progressed Sun was exact on natal Jupiter 3 Virgo. That looks lucky?

But, also his progressed Saturn was approaching conjunction with natal Sun by about 2 or 3 degrees. That's the Government intervention stuff. It's also just a snuffing out of the creative energies by selfish authority figures. Perhaps it could also account for the loss of popularity. I mean, the anti-Nazi sentiment after the War had to have hurt this guys' chances. I guess the Rx Mercury could also account for the confiscated papers and stolen ideas by Governments. One can really see how the Outer Planet stuff can mess with a person's inner planet problems.

Schauberger eventually did come to the U.S. to work for a while. It's really frustrating to read his story from the vantage point of more distant future. This is the guy whose road ought to have been taken. Okay, okay, I don't know if all his ideas work. But, can you imagine where we'd be if he'd been able to live in ordinary times?

So, there you have it. Yes, the aliens are out there. But, the humans are as well. Go roll a log down a stream and figure out how to fix Global Warming.

Ready For Your Close Up, Old Man

Rachel Sussman is a photographer who has been traveling around the world taking pictures of the world's oldest living organisms.

She was written about in a recent New Scientist Magazine article (April something something). Some of her photos are included on New Scientist website along with her own website.

I was happy to find that California, land that currently builds most buildings with the idea that they will be standing for only about 20 years, also houses a large percentage of the world's least transient plants.

We have Sequoias in the Mountains, and Creosote Bushes in the Mohave and down by L.A. in the White Mountains there is an old pine tree called "The Old Man" which is thought to be the world's oldest tree, currently about 4773 years old.

Things that grow very old are said to grow very slowly. Old Man stays alive by looking like he's dead all over except for one branch which sprouts leaves at a time. In 2002 he was said to be 4767 years old! That's where I tried to get his current date from.

This means that he would have sprouted around 2765 B.C. give or take a year and a typo or two.

In 2765 B.C. exactly there was a conjunction of Jupiter-Saturn and the North Node in Cancer which opposed Neptune at 2 Capricorn. So, Pluto is passing over Old Man's natal Neptune. Kind of interesting that his picture gets taken right now and presented to the World. That is an Aries Point which brings one before the world (according to Noel Tyl). Pluto rules "Fame" and Neptune rules "Photography." Let's hope it doesn't equal another of Noel Tyl's explanation of Neptune-Pluto transits which is "Wipe Out."

Either way Old Man has got some Cardinal Sign action going right now in his chart if this is the correct date. Pluto was in mid-Taurus back then. This means that both Saturn and Pluto were in signs of their detriment. Old Man's whereabouts are kept hidden in order to keep people away. Hope this secret is maintained. Probably some pot growers will think he's a weed and douse him with Round-Up. I guess an actual researcher murdered another very old tree.

Uranus, planet of cycles and returns imo, is in Pisces. So, Old Man's been going through a Uranus Return right now.

United States of Bar Flies

According to a study done by the National Institutes of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism we can now choose whether we want to live in a State according to whether or not it has high or low alcohol sales. This is thought to show whether or not there are more drinkers in these states. Turns out the story is more complicated. The drunkest state, New Hampshire, has a very large revenue for alcohol sales because lots of people come in from out of state to get their beers. No wonder all those New Yorkers like to drive on up to Vermont. They can pass through New Hampshire on the way up.

So, it's sort of interesting that conservative States have the lowest sales and lack of tolerance for sales of booze and the liberal states have the highest. And, actually, gun sales have nothing to do with it. Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Alaska and Colorado win spots in the top 10 for drunkeness. Alcoholism seems to be excellent for low crime rates apparently, as these states (except for Nevada) are probably considered among the least populated. Nobody moves there because they're afraid of being shot in the head by a flaming drunkard.

Utah wins as soberest state. That's no surprise due to the Mormon population.

New Hamphire wins as drunkest. Maybe the cold? Maybe the Robert Frost poems?

The actual reasons are interesting. In New Hamphire it's due to ideas about taxation (which is a Scorpio pluto thing). In Utah, of course, the influence is due to Religion (which is a Jupiter thing). I wanted to check the charts of those states to see if those signs and their rulers are prominent. And also I wanted to check for other indicators for drunkeness (Neptune and Jupiter, of course) and for moderation (Saturn, probably earth).

Well, first of all, we've got Suns in opposing signs so it's just dandy that both these States have an opposing view of their candy. Utah is a dour Capricorn. New Hampshire is sloshing around in good old Water Sign Cancer, four planets in Cancer, as a matter of fact with Sun conjunct Jupiter who definitely enjoys over-doing whatever it's doing, especially if it can have a party at the same time.

Both States have Mars in Leo. That means nothing in particular, probably, except that they might have strong opinions about what they will and will not do whilst partying. And Mars is currently going through a long passage through Leo due to the Retrograde coming up. And anything Mars in Leo will currently stand out, except for moi, who is ever pummeling downhill on my Regulus, if you know what I mean.

So, Utah is a locomotive shape chart with lead planet in control freak Pluto. New Hampshire is a seesaw chart shape which I guess means that it enjoys being tipsy.

Both States have strong Neptune-Pluto aspects. That indicates issues surrounding elevated States of Consciousness. Utah has a conjunction of these two super psychic, spiritual types (in Gemini). Wow, so they really can't handle the booze because their minds are already as altered as they can humanly go. New Hampshire has the two planets involved in a Kite. Well, my Grandmother always said she couldn't fly on one wing. What she really meant is that she was higher than a kite. (Ah hahahahaha, I crack myself up sometimes). Get this. Neptune and Pluto and Chiron (wounded hahaha healer) are balled up in a Grand Trine. Chiron is conjunct the Nodal Axis at the center of the Kite shape. It all points to a Sagittarius North Node and, as I said, Sagittarians like to, uh, party.

New Hampshire has no planets in Scorpio, the sign of taxation. Maybe that's why they don't have taxes. Who knows?

Anyway, I'll stop here. This game can go on and on forever and there are 48 more States charts to look at.

Murder of Yale Pharmacology Student Annie Le

24-year old Annie Le, a Yale Pharmacology student, disappeared last Tuesday just days before her wedding. After a massive hunt her body was found yesterday apparently stuffed into a basement wall in the school laboratory where she was last seen photographed by security cameras as she entered the building at 10:00 am. This young woman's name is Annie Le. I send condolences to Le's family and friends for this horrible crime. I can't make heads or tails of her murder but am just trying to post aspects which I have found.

born July 3, 1985 (Place? I used Placerville, CA because that's where Le is from, but have no idea where she was born).

Sun 12 Cancer; Moon Capricorn or Aquarius; NN 16 Taurus

Le was born with Sun conjunct Mars in Cancer. This is a very spirited combination, but for a woman it can sometimes show victimization by men, as Mars in Cancer combines the energies of two youthful and emotional planets which conflict with each other and are often involved in crime (see www.bobmarksastrologer.com for great statistical studies about murder). Le's Sun-Mars is trining her natal Saturn in Scorpio which shows that she would have toned down her impulsive nature with discipline.

We've just finished a very emotional and volatile conjunction transit of the Moon to Mars in Cancer in which many people have been reported as acting erratically (Joe Wilson during President's speech, Serena Williams at a tennis match, Kanye West at the MTV awards). This would have affected Le very strongly as it involves a Mars Return for her, which is in the Moon's sign.

At Age 24, Le was also going through a Jupiter Return in Aquarius. Normally I would see this as a very positive set of aspects for someone going to school for higher learning. Jupiter rules Higher Learning and truth seeking (and probably truth finding).

Le has Mars (Impulse, Action) and Jupiter (Opinions, Higher Learning, Religion, etc.) in aspect with each other in a inconjunct aspect (adjustments of elements that don't quite work, health problems) in a couple of different configurations, one a Yod with Uranus in Sagittarius (Jupiter and Uranus are in mutual reception in her chart). This Yod fans out to an even bigger figure (not sure what it would be called) with her natal North Node in Taurus. Uranus (innovation, experimentation, erratic behaviors) is inconjunct with her North Node (life path).

Because of this combination of Mars-Jupiter-Uranus I would sort of assume that an accident or mistake was involved with her death. However, news reports are saying that it looks as if it was intentional.

If Le had a Capricorn Moon and not an Aquarius Moon then both her Jupiter and Uranus are singletons which means that this Yod figure further stands out in her chart. As Karen Hamaker Zondag describes them in her book on the Yods, they can show generational family problems that an individual must deal with. All 3 of these aspects point to someone who has a strong need for independence. It's very odd that she was planning on getting tied into a marriage at this point in her life.

Another disturbing aspect was transiting Pluto was conjunct Le's natal Neptune. Pluto is at 2 Scorpio in her natal chart sextile Neptune at 2 Capricorn. Pluto right now is at 1 Capricorn right on her natal Neptune. That can generally be a difficult transit. There is just too much strange, unconscious information coming into a person with regards to the universe. Neptune and Pluto working together can often bring about a crisis of a spiritual nature. Both planets can cause a person to become extra paranoid, go on drugs, etc. As both planets are very psychic, Le may also have had a premonition that something would happen to her.

With a Jupiter in Aquarius Return it's very interesting that her death happened on a college campus as Jupiter rules Higher Learning. Aquarius co-rules technology and the sciences.

She may have discovered some awful truth (Jupiter in Aquarius Return) regarding her College Professor (Jupiter, I heard that a Professor is being questioned in the case already). Either way it looks like Saturn-Neptune and Pluto were conflicting in some game against Mars-Uranus-Jupiter in Le's chart.

Le could possibly have had a Grand Square between Mercury, Pluto, Moon and Lilith. This shows some challenges to overcome concerning Heart and Mind and Home and Power plays.

As regards the Marriage plans, I've already said that this looks like a weird time to be getting married. 7th House rules marriage and without a natal chart I can't say anything about that. Le's natal Venus is at 28 Taurus and has progressed to 27 Gemini. Gemini is a duplicitous sign.

The Sun has been passing over Saturn which is opposing Uranus. Again it would be interesting to see if Le had these degrees of Virgo/Pisces prominent on angles in her natal chart. The Saturn-Uranus aspect is very strongly aspected. The transit of Saturn-Uranus is aspecting her natal and Solar Arc Uranus very strongly. In her natal chart, Venus widely opposes Saturn in Scorpio. This has arced by progression (solar arcs) so that SA Saturn is exactly conjunct natal Uranus in Sagittarius, thus mirroring the opposition of these two in the current transits.

The current transit of Sun-Saturn in Virgo opposing Uranus in Pisces is actually squaring natal Uranus-SA Saturn opposing SA Venus!

Sorry I can't describe all that techno mumbo jumbo better. I also can't interpret it very well. Virgo-Pisces is definitely related to health issues. Saturn-Uranus is often related to transitional, hybrid types of solutions to problems. There seems to be some intense conflict going on in Le's chart regarding Traditions and Innovations. Hybrid lifestyles. Speaking out against authority. Throwing out the old to bring in the new. Don't know if any of this could possibly be related to her murder but it looks like a strong influence for Le at this time.

I know I'm supposed to look at SA Venus in Gemini and just be satisfied that she was having an affair with her professor and had just cut it off right before her marriage. But it seems that there was something involving something bigger here.

At any rate, it's interesting to watch the transit chart for the last time that Le was seen walking into the laboratory. At 10:00 am on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 28 Libra was rising. Libra is ruled by Venus which indicates Women, Love affairs. Mars (Aggression, Men) was in Cancer up in the 9th House (College, College Professors). Mars is squaring Mercury Rx in H11 (Message?). This square is involved in a Thor's Hammer configuration (crossroads to act) with Chiron and Neptune in Aquarius down in the 4th House.

Of course, with Libra in her last degrees at that point, Scorpio soon rises (around 10:17 am). This means that Pluto (murder) now rules the chart. Pluto is on a strong degree right now for manifesting crap (1 Capricorn) and at this time during the day it is in the 2d house opposing the 8th House of murder, which it rules.

During this time the Nodal Axis is crossing the IC/MC axis with Lilith conjunct the North Node to the degree. Between 10:30 and 11:00am Venus is crossing the Leo Midheaven and the Moon is crossing the Descendant. It would certainly seem that marriage and family had something to do with this event but in a weird way.

The soon to be ousted Governor of Illinois had one Hell of a Solar Return and I wonder what he wished for when he was blowing out the candles. I'm not saying that Rod Blagojevich is a Nice Guy, or a Good Guy, or even a Guy with a Well Shaped Head. I've never even heard of him. But, when you look at Rod Blagojevich's Astrology Chart you sort of feel for him. It seems that he's going through the kind of transits that only a Buddhist Monk could handle well, and maybe only the Dalai Llama or Thich Nhat Hanh at that.

Wull, so the Gov was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008 for trying to sell President Elect Obama's Senatorship. He was released later that day. The next day was his Birthday. You could look at his chart, see that he's got Scorpio North Node squared by Pluto and stop your reading right there. This guy's got some heavy Karmic stuff to deal with, especially concerning money, control and, spying.

That's one nasty Solar Return (Mercury Return as well) I couldn't figure out what exactly he did until John McCain was on David Letterman, the media really is that bad at reporting stories these days. John McCain said that Blagojevich was told that his phones would be tapped and he continued to hawk the Senator seat anyway. I think he was taking bids to sell it for $500,000 or something like that. He's got Mercury in Capricorn, so, man, I don't really get this. The Cap Merc people are usually pretty brainy and generally have to leave that sort of brash stupidity to us Leo Mercury's. I don't get it. (He's also a Sadge Sun maybe with Pisces Moon like Ben Bernanke and not at all cute so, well, my hormonal monitor maybe indicates that he's got an Aries Moon or something.)

So I was curious to look at Blag's Mercury, of course. What kind of aspects can make a Mercury in Capricorn dumb beyond words? Saturn mistakes always come back to haunt you (with the idea that you can fix them) and Mercury rules Telephone Conversations.

"Blag's" natal Mercury in Capricorn is very close to an Aries Point which means that he can really pro-ject to the outside world through his Communication Style. Capricorn Style can either be very polite or overly harsh and rude. So what set off Blag's Mercury in it's own special direction? It is apex to a t-square of Mars 3 Aries opposing Jupiter 30 Virgo. Jupiter is considered conjunct the Libra Point because it is within the 1 degree orb.

Mercury-Mars-Jupiter is the prototypical aspect for someone prone to exagerration and lack of impulse control in everything having to do with release of flammable elements from between the two lips. It also colors the general thinking process with a tendency to overdo and drive ideas into the ground. NPR yesterday was discussing how what Blag was doing really wasn't that odd. It's just that his style of doing it, his language, was hard on the wiretapper's Puritan ears. Maybe I didn't hear that right, Politics really isn't my thing for this reason.

Natal Mercury in Blag's chart is also Out-Of Bounds at 25 degree 40' 9"S. This magnifies whatever his Mercury is up to. If you're going to have the gift of Gab, you've got to also have been raised with regular visits from an Irish Grandmother (TerroristMatriarch) to scare the Bejesus out of you when you overdo.

Transiting Pluto (the Spy), of course, is conjunct Blag's natal Mercury. That's a Red Flag to be a little paranoid when somebody tells you your phones are about to be wire-tapped. Mars-Jupiter just doesn't get it. (I know, I've got the square.) Bold Strokes, Baby. Bring it on! Words are Swords! Famous Last Words! (that type of thing, for good and mostly for bad) I guess the trine to natal Pluto made him sloppy? Can we blame it on that? At any rate, Blag's natal Pluto is squaring natal Scorpio North Node which it rules so big Karmic Crises are in this guy's cards. Also, anything having to do with Plutonian issues, like the FBI, will not work on one's behalf. And Pluto transits would figure in his life path very prominently as well.

This guy also has no planets in Air. Maybe that's why his head looks like a helium balloon. And that's why there's nothing to tether his out of control Mercury. And he's probably pretty burned out from his Chiron Return which has been receiving company by t. Neptune and the North Node. His progressed Sun is passing over this conjunction as well, can you imagine?

The Corruption stuff shows up very strongly in this chart. I look at Blag's aspects and think, yeah, I'd screw up too. Well, actually so many Astrologers see themselves as the Second Coming and probably would think they could handle it just fine.

Mars is impulse control, lack of. Natally Blag has a really wild Mars. It's is Aries, it's own sign. Very impulsive, very aggressive. It's also in a Grand Fire Trine with Saturn 7 Sagittarius and Uranus 7 Leo. Funny how he's managed to pull himself down during a Saturn-Uranus opposition. John McCain said that Blag had visited him in order to talk about fixing regulations in the government. I've discussed before how I think that Saturn-Uranus combo's may have to do with the struggle between Regulation and Anti-Regulation in society. If that's true this guy really is concerned with all things having to do with Regulaltions. It's interesting how his intentions were good and he got hung up by his own agenda. And I wonder what the real story is here, especially since the media has been doing such a bizarre job of reporting the story.

Here comes the corruption part, in addition to the Grand Trine with Saturn and Uranus, Mars in Aries (impulsive, aggressive) is also apex of a Yod to Neptune 3(?) Scorpio sextile Pluto 1 Virgo. This, of course, is being set off by Pluto's transit at 1 Capricorn right on Blag's natal Mercury. Mars, Neptune and Pluto together just don't know right from wrong. Neptune and Pluto don't think about boundaries, they are water. They are Mystical and Wonderful and great for Cosmic Consciousness but not related to Reality. Adding to the stress, 2dary progressed Mars just moved in to Taurus and is opposing natal Neptune. Taurus rules money and this transition might indicate a sudden shift in energy like this could enhance one's greed factor. Wanting to get a bigger piece of the pie.

The Keeling Curve

The Keeling Curve is the result of 40 years of painstaking measurements of the rising Carbon levels in the atmosphere. It was made famous by Al Gore. But who was the person who tracked the measurements during all those years?

Sun 1 Taurus; Moon Aries or Taurus; NN 11 Gemini

I suppose it's interesting that Keeling was an Oceanographer but became noted for his studies of Gases in the Atmosphere. He had no planets in Air in his chart, but his North Node was in Gemini which is an Air Sign. North Node shows your Destiny and lack of an element shows that you may be drawn to that element in some way in your life. Here's a description of Keeling's work from the book An Ocean of Air by Gabrielle Walker. As you can see by the title of the book, Walker seems to have read the problems that Keeling's chart propose in this respect. She also fobs off a pretty good description of a Taurus:

Keeling was inspired, technically brilliant, and also -- fortunately -- bull-headed. Fortunately, because he discovered that there was no funding available for long-term studies like the one he had in mind. There was nothing wrong with making a few measurements once in a while, he was told repeatedly by the U.S. science-funding agencies. But keeping highly expensive and very technical instruments ticking over constantly in Hawaii for years? There was simply no need.

Keeling, however, refused to hear the word "no." He wrangled and scraped and insisted, and he somehow managed to keep his instruments in place and switched on. It wasn't long before he was proved to be right. Even between one year and the next, he could see the difference in carbon dioxide levels. And it was exactly what you'd expect if the oceans were not, after all, soaking up those human outpourings.
Keeling made those measurements for more than forty years. When plotted out on a graph, his "Keeling curve" has become one of the most famous icons of the global warming debate. For as the years have passed, the carbon dioxide levels it shows look nothing like a flat line, or even a gentle rise. Instead, they rear up exponentially, like a malevolent tidal wave ready to crash.

What a great book. I might actually have to read this one.

Keeling's Sun was in Taurus (he passed away recently so I speak of him in past tense) but his Moon may have been either in Aries or Taurus. In addition to that he had four planets in Aries (Uranus, Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter) so he was bound "to do his own thing". Those particular planets ganging up together want to do genuinely good things for the World. Venus-Merucry-Jupiter are trining Saturn in Sagittarius and squaring Pluto in Cancer.

Keeling's Pisces Mars was a great placement for an oceanographer and it was also squaring his Nodal Axis. His destiny in the fight to fix Man-made problems. North Node in Gemini seems to be a great placement for Scientists who want to fix problems at any rate. Born with this 1928 placement are Jack Kevorkian (euthanasia guy) and Bill Mollison (creator of Permaculture). They've all worked against technology. Kind of an interesting situation that these Gemini North Node people have been living on the heels of the Gemini Pluto people who sort of created a lot of the technological messes (something which Bob Marks describes in a thread on his forum, check it out).

Keeling began to take measurements of CO2 over in Hawaii in 1958 and stopped in 2005.

In 1958, by coincidence, he was going through his Saturn Return in Sagittarius. Good time to take on a new project (Saturn) which will be the center of huge amounts of debate (Sagittarius) over the next 40 years. T. Pluto was also just past conjunction with Keeling's natal Neptune at 27 Leo. A person is extra sensitive to poisonings of any type during this transit. Neptune was at early degrees of Scorpio opposing Keeling's natal Sun-Chiron-possibly Moon conjunction which is like a triple or quadruple whammy effect for understanding toxicity, especially through empathy. T.Uranus would have hit Neptune in a couple of years after that, probably around the time that Keeling was realizing that he was on to something. According to Wikipedia his research was used in a Government warning about Global Warming back in 1963 but the fundings were stopped.

Also in 1958 the Nodal Axis was entering Libra which means that the South Node would be passing over Keeling's Aries planets. Neptune was in Scorpio but still conjunct the t.North Node which was moving into late Libra (Nodal Axis moves backwards) for a great deal of the year.

Keeling's measurements stopped in 2005. I suppose this coincides with his death of a heart attack on June 20, 2005. The Astrology is pretty incredible for this. T. Jupiter was once again in Libra and conjunct the South Node which relates back to the start of his 40 year project.

Not only was t. Pluto conjunct natal Saturn but t. Saturn had just been in conjunction with natal Pluto. That represents loss. (They're not in aspect with each other but they are both in major aspect to the following: Transiting Uranus was conjunct natal Mars (and squaring natal Nodal Axis) and transiting Mars was conjunct natal Uranus. Both aspects within a degree of conjunction. This shows a sudden, abrupt change of plans. Natal Mars is also trining natal Pluto at 16 Cancer (death) which was being hit by both Progressed Sun and Venus (15 Cancer for Sun, Venus ??). This squared his natal Aries planets and the transiting Nodal Axis. Transiting Venus and Mercury were also involved. Pluto does bring Fame and Keeling's Fame after his death has skyrocketed. And Venus, what was I saying about Venus throwing some curves?

An interesting little note about the Mercury Retrograde Progression. Keeling's Mercury went Rx sometime around1984-85 at 13 Cancer. This would have been conjunct his natal Pluto and squaring natal Mercury, etc. in Aries. He may have felt impotent to communicate his message. P.Mercury will come out of Retrograde in 2009-2010. The World will finally come around to paying attention to his word, especially with regards to transportation which is a Mercury ruled product.

Addition to Evelyn McHale Suicide Story

In last night's blog entry I wondered why everyone else in New York City didn't jump off the roof of a building at 10:40am on May 1, 1947 the way that Evelyn McHale did. The Stars just seemed set up to guide people into a magnificent demise.

Then I realized that, at Age 23, McHale was perhaps going through a Jupiter in Scorpio Return which would have honed down the citizens of the Big Apple to only tragedians with Jupiter in Scorpio. Jupiter stands out in this chart as it was Retrograde and a singleton in Water, element of emotions and feelings. Scorpio is the sign of Death, Obsession, Passion, Deep Feelings, Confrontation and Sexuality. (also of Sexual Diseases and one wonders if... well, never mind). McHale was going through emotional turmoil in her love life, we do know that. So this hones the problem down to Jupiter in Scorpios, probably the ones who are suffering their first love affairs.

What does separate out McHale from the others is her extreme physical beauty. You can't have an event chart, after all, without at least one natal chart and one set of genes (and that's only the minimum requirement). With Neptune opposing Venus over the IC/MC lines and Saturn conjunct Pluto in Leo in the 1st House trining Venus and Mars in Aries, the woman who jumped off the Empire State Building at 10:40am had to be exceptionally beautiful and of an extremely dramatic personality. New Yorkers might have a good sense of the Dramatic but in the looks department .... well, let's just say that keeps many New Yorkers safe from experiencing what ailed Evelyn McHale.

Then I googled May 1, 1947 to see what else happened on this date and was really amazed how there really was a lot of activity and it can all be tied in to the theme of "things flying through space." List from www.brainyhistory.com/days/may-1.html.

1. Cleveland Indians abandon League Park to play all games at Municipal Stadium. Okay this means nothing to me. Guys throwing Balls through the air though ...it's a stretch... moving on.

2. Change of Leadership in the CIA. Rear Admiral Roscoe H. Hillenkoetter, USN, becomes 3rd director of the CIA. This is cool. The CIA changed Directors while the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Leo (power, government changes, spying, Directors of Big Government Agencies) was trining Venus and Mars in Aries (military). Hillenkoetter was from the Navy, the guy he replaced was from the Air Force.

Uranus and the North Node were in Gemini, interesting time for the CIA as it's associated with Intelligence Gathering. Hillenkoetter was interesting because he is known on Wikipedia at least for wanting to expose the cover-up by the Government of UFO's. He started the "National Investigations Commission for Aerial Phenomena" and was a member of Majestic-12. This really matches the Uranus in Gemini theme as Uranus wants to take "it" as far out there as it can. --And if you can't go to it, you must think it is coming to you. Uranus represents communal good will, after all. People have been getting probed by The Grays ever since.

Hillenkoetter was also close to his Solar Return.

Sun 19 Taurus; Moon Cancer or Leo; NN 10 Aquarius

Hillenkoetter's chart was lit up like a pin-ball machine with regards to the aspects. He was going through his Chiron Return in Scorpio. This squares his n.Nodal Axis (Aquarius to Leo). And Pluto was conjunct his natal South Node. One can only assume that he himself was personally probed.

Hillenkoetter's chart was also strongly affected by the Jupiter in Scorpio as Jupiter at 25 Scorpio Rx was very close to his natal conjunction of Uranus 28 Scorpio-Saturn 29 Scorpio. This conjunction is opposed by natal Mercury 5 Gemini and squared by n.Jupiter 1 Virgo. Talk about a truth seeking person. I wonder if this guy was the original influence for Muldaur on the X-Files. At any rate, the North Node was at 3 Gemini conjunct his Mercury on this date.

Oh, and he also had a conjunction of Pluto 13 Gemini to Neptune 18 Gemini which Uranus had just passed over (was at 20 Gemini). This is so arfing exciting! I wonder if I've read the chart right.

3. Radar for commercial & private airplanes 1st demonstrated. Pretty interesting. I'd think that this would be another manifestation of the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Leo. Commercialization. Plus Neptune was in Libra which meant that "higher forms of knowing" that had been developed during Wartime (WWII) were now being used in peacetime purposes. Jupiter in Scorpio is prominent as singleton in Water. Both Uranus and the North Node were in Gemini (not in conjunction) which is great for intelligence gathering and radio communications.

The Birdman of Alcatraz

I love it when I start obsessing over a person and then discover that their charts reflect some current transits in the sky. Yesterday something tripped off my memory and I was thinking about one of my favorite movies when I was a kid, Birdman of Alcatraz. Scary child. I think my sense of what true Justice is aged about 9,000 years after watching that movie. And, you have to admit the acting was great.

As I write this "the Birdman" would be celebrating his Saturn Return in Virgo and would be due to celebrate his Jupiter Return in Capricorn this year as well. Pluto is passing back and forth over his South Node. I haven't got a clue how to interpret this, but I can go off in my imagination here. I have no idea whether reincarnation happens but this would certainly seem like a portal opening in time for the same kind of soul to re-enter.

Robert Stroud, Birdman of Alcatraz
b. Jan 28, 1890 Seattle, Washington (time from Astrotheme 10:00 pm)

Sun 10 Aquarius; ASC 5 Libra; Moon 26 Taurus; MC 6 Cancer; NN 2 Cancer

The Birdman, Robert Franklin Stroud, was a murderer. Just as he was approaching his first Nodal Return (t.Pluto c. n. North Node too) he killed a guy who had abused his girlfriend. Apparently he was hanging out with the wrong crowd and considering his natal chart had a Mars in Scorpio - Moon in Taurus opposition, it was only a matter of time when his temper would be tested beyond what it could handle.

After entering into jail, Stroud couldn't handle the abuse from the guards and was attacking them as well. Eventually he ended up on Death Row for killing a guard. And, Lucky Guy, his Mother and others were on the outside fighting to get him off. His Mother actually contacted the President, can't remember which one. He was born during the Pluto-Neptune conjunction in Gemini of the 1880s and this conjunction was featured prominentally in Stroud's natal chart. If the Astrotheme birth time is correct, it was conjunct his Sun and involved in a Grand Trine with a Libra Ascendant and a conjunction of Sun-Venus-Mercury Rx in Aquarius. At the time of the murder, his progressed Sun and Venus were conjunct at 29 Aquarius and squaring his natal Moon-Pluto. They then would have passed over into Pisces, sign which rules Imprisonment.

Birdman was sentenced to 12 years for committing his first crime and then had a few problems with guards in jail. He attacked the first one, then killed the second one and was moved around and eventually put into Solitary confinement on Death Row where his only contact with life was with birds that hung out in the barred window of his cell. He made cages for the birds and learned so much about them he wrote books on them. His Mother kept fighting on his behalf to keep him off of death row. Hollywood found him and made a movie about him.

The story is really really strange. The Astrology makes sense when you think of the strangeness because Stroud was an Aquarian. Whether or not he actually did have a Libra Rising in trine with his other planets, a Grand Air Trine for a guy who understands Birds really well just makes a whole lot of sense. The self-containment of the Grand Trine aspect actually found a constructive outlet in jail. It also brought the good luck connected with having constant attention for his incarceration. The whole Neptune-Pluto in Gemini generation certainly would understand the story of a guy who writes books while isolated in a jail.

Stroud murdered his Girlfriend's abuser, Jan. 18, 1909 in Cordova, Alaska. The Astrolocality lines show an interesting set-up as his Moon-Neptune-Pluto MC lines run through Alaska where he committed his first murder. The island of Alcatraz, where he found his connection with birds and eventually his Fame was closest to his Nodal Axis MC line. And surprisingly, his Nodal Axis is located in his natal chart at 2 Cancer-Capricorn and his Midheaven-IC Axis (assuming chart time is correct) at 6 Cancer-Capricorn. He became famous on this line at any rate in part for the place (IC, Cancer) where he lived. The circumstances were unusual, but as I said, he was Sun-Venus-Mercury in Aquarius. He also may have had a 1st house Uranus which strengthens the tendency for unusual circumstances.

One major anger management problem indicated in Stroud's chart is his Moon - Mars in Scorpio opposition. Mars squares his natal Sun-Mercury in Aquarius. That all makes for a flash temper. If he has a Libra Rising his story seems classic for the problems of that Rising Sign. He was trying to help his lover and instead buried himself into one catastrophic interaction after another until it finally finds redemption in going inward. I've just looked at a study of U.S. Presidents who have a predominance of Libra Risings. One can certainly see this same kind of struggle in taking on that job. Just remember back to Bill Clinton's days.

There are a lot of unbelievable interesting transits that connect to Stroud's natal chart, namely through Neptune, Chiron and Mars. It's interesting that the first murder was committed while Neptune was conjunct his natal Chiron-Lilith conjunction in Cancer. How about going to jail (Neptune) while defending your prostitute (Lilith) girlfriend's (Lilith, Cancer) problems? Of course, the progressed Sun-Venus conjunction squaring natal Moon-Pluto-Neptune didn't help. Nor did the Pluto-North Node conjunction (within orb of his Nodal Return). This murder would have held extra relevance for Stroud as it happened on Jan. 18, 1909 and so probably was linked into his Solar Return chart for the year.

The Birdman movie debuted July 3, 1962. This is an interesting Solar Return year for Stroud as there was a huge line-up of planets in Aquarius on his Sun that year. T. Pluto was just approaching his 12th House cusp opposing Jupiter-Chiron on his 6th House cusp (assuming Astrotheme chart time is correct). Jupiter-Pluto aspects are known to bring fame when working together in a chart. What better way to become famous than as being some kind of Francis of Assisi of the Federal Jail System in a Major Motion Picture? That's so many Neptunian/Pisces themes it makes my head spin.

Stroud died in 1963. Pluto was exactly conjunct the 12th house cusp of the Astrotheme chart.

The 2 Dudes Who Measured the Meter

I've been taking a bunch of notes and need to try to crank them out. This one is about two French Astronomers who were chosen to determine the length of the Meter by measuring the distance between the Equator and a Pole. The Distance would be divided by one ten-million would be the length of a Meter. Both Guys started out from Paris. One Guy went North and the other Guy went South and betweenst the twos of them they figured out the length and it was deemed that this would become the Meter. I'm American, we're all feet here, left-feet at that. The idea that measurements can be made related to the size of the World rather than some old Roman's smelly foot is beyond my comprehension. Anyway, it turns out that the measurements may be off, the story reads like a prequel to Wayne's World or Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.

Here's the Guys. Remember, the Virgo went North. The Leo went South.

The book that I haven't read is The Measure of All Things by Ken Adler. It's about how the Leo fudged his Data in order to make it work with the Virgo's Data and then didn't tell anyone. He supposedly goes a little crazy and then dies. He's a famous astronomer who discovered a bunch of comets, Hencke, for example, which was just in the news. Anyway, the two presented their work and the Virgo discovered the Leo's Errors after the Leo had died. You're supposed to read through the whole book in order to find out if the Virgo admitted the mistake or not. I assume that he didn't because Virgos are pretty practical people and they had worked for 7 years sailing around trying to gather the data. The Leo was in Spain just as War broke out and was thrown in jail for awhile because they thought he was a spy. Things just went wrong a whole lot and the Guys just wanted to get the damn project over with.

The whole story was kept under wraps until the writer, Ken Adler started reading their correspondence and realized, after 200 years, what had gone on.

It's interesting to check their charts first for trying to understand how the error could happen. The expeditions occurred between May 1792 and 1799.

The Virgo being a Virgo sorted out his calculations without a hitch. It's just that he had to decide later on what to do with the Leo's bogus calculations. The Leo got all snarled up, hence the Drama, when things didn't work he just used his Leonine creativity to fix them. And incidentally it turns out that his numbers weren't that far off and were for some reason more accurate than the mathematical figures would have been (I don't understand the reason).

Around the time that they were working on the project both Men's Mercury's went Retrograde by Progression during their 7 year voyages. Good old Merc Retrograde, I can see how that might not be the best situation for measuring the entire Globe. The Leo's Rx - 1796-97 and the Virgo's - 1797-8. Things just sort of don't go quite right during Mercury Retro, and the progression lasts for a really long time. The transits and natal Mercury's also flesh out the picture here. The poor Leo's progressed Mercury in Scorpio was hit by transiting Neptune in 1795. This accounts for his inability to think clearly but also the accuracy of his "creativity" and also why he decided to "fudge" the answers anyway and also maybe why he went insane from the guilt of what he had done. During these years the Leo's progressed Sun was passing over his South Node as well. Too busy to discover the Comets to spend time interpreting what that means I guess.

Both Men were born during Neptune-Pluto trines which fully explains their interest in Astronomy. Anything involving far-sightedness, like staring at the Heavens and surveying long distances, would come under these two planets working well together. The Virgo had the Trine very nicely aspected in a Kite Pattern with a Grand Trine of Neptune in Cancer trine Pluto in Scorpio trine Jupiter in Pisces. Sun was conjunct Mercury and opposing Jupiter. And Mercury is on the Aries point. This is a pretty sweet Kite. His Sun (will) and Mercury (thinking) could directly focus the energies of his Generation.

The Leo had the pizazz. His Neptune-Pluto trine was less spectacular. Mars in Cancer was conjunct his Neptune and Saturn was aspecting with a sextile. Mars and Neptune have charisma. Mars in Cancer gets pretty emotional when things don't go well and be less able to deal with a Mercury Rx progression. In 1801, right around the time that his nerves were getting the best of him, transiting Neptune hit his natal Pluto.

So, the part about the Secret that is buried for 200 years certainly seems like a Neptune-Pluto manifestation. Plus, the Leo's Mars-Pluto conjunction was opposing the Virgo's Mars-North Node. So it was on the Virgo's South Node. It was the Virgo's life lesson to learn how to balance his impulsiveness (Mars) with his coworker's.

Genie

Watched a NOVA DVD called Secret of the Wild Child about a 13-year old girl who was discovered in 1970 in Los Angeles, California. She had been imprisoned in her home her whole life; tied to a toilet during the day and caged in a huge crib at night. She was beaten by her father if she tried to talk so subsequently she never learned how to talk. Her story is available on Wikipedia here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genie_(feral_child). This girl, Genie, was discovered on Nov. 4, 1970 when her Mother ran away from the home and was applying for aid from a social agency. Both of the girl's parents were taken into custody. The Father killed himself and the mother was let go.

Genie was taken on by a bunch of Doctors and Psychologists who spent the next 4 years testing her, training her and trying to understand language development through her. The video mentions that she triggered all kinds of "Rescue Fantasies" in them. In the pictures shown she is an extremely charming young girl. Unfortunately, her development was impaired by the extreme isolation and abuse of her early years. Her walk was odd, like a rabbit, and she had almost no language skills. The few words she knew were mostly negative, a sign that she had only really heard abusive.

The psychologists who were taking care of her lost their funding when Genie turned 18 and the work with her stopped. She was turned over to her Mother who tried to care for her for a few months. When the Mother couldn't manage, Genie was put into multiple Foster Homes which also couldn't care for her, even abused her. She was put into a group home where she has been living ever since.

What initially caught my attention from an astrological point of view were the Neptunian aspects of this "Wild Child" story, especially as compared with another "Wild Child" story presented on the DVD from 170 years earlier. On Jan. 8, 1800 a boy, later called Victor, around 12 years old, appeared in a town in Germany. He apparently had been living in the forest and was mostly wild and couldn't speak. A Scientist took him in, studied him, and after finding that he couldn't improve his development further sort of cast him off. The DVD discusses how both children were perhaps exploited by the researchers. Wikipedia has a list of other examples of kids who are abandoned and then survive in the wilderness, or are imprisoned in isolation and don't develop social skills. What sets Genie and Victor apart from those stories are their celebrity appeal. The DVD talks about how the timing for research into their problems seems to have been just right for the Scientific community's interest. And amazingly, there's a really astonishing connection between these two because they were both discovered while Neptune was in Scorpio, 170 years apart (a Neptune Return is 172 years).

Scorpio is the sign of Research and Neptune rules Imprisonment, institutionalization, isolation, fantasies, compassion, "hopeless cases." Another Neptunian coincidence is that Genie's case was made even more spectacular and appealing to Scientists because a movie (Neptune) by Francois Truffaut about Victor's life and this movie just happened to have been released the week after The timing is really uncanny.

The two dates for these kids' "emergence" also show other remarkable connections. The Sun of Victor's emergence is at 20 Capricorn. The day that Genie was found the Moon at noontime was at 18 Capricorn. Uranus in Virgo of Victor's chart is conjunct Pluto in Virgo in Genie's chart. (This is conjunct Genie's natal Jupiter.) Virgo is the sign of health and clinics.

"Genie" was born with a Sun-Venus conjunction in Aries opposite Neptune at 1 Scorpio Rx. This explains both her magnetic appeal and also victimization. Her chart is almost all Fire with out-of-bounds Mars (abuse?). Neptune is a singleton in Water further emphasizing its presence in her chart. Additionally the Sun-Venus to Neptune opposition is in a t-square squared by apex Uranus at 3 Leo. Sun-Venus conjunctions happen every 18 months so this would have maybe hooked into the fatal visit with the Doctor. Genie's Sun progressed into Taurus around Age 2 as well. Taurus is a slower sign so she may have exhibited some sort of change of behavior which alarmed her parents. It was also exactly opposite Neptune for this year which explains the victimization, confusion and misunderstanding and overall bad parenting. I think that Age 2 is around potty training time.

Her Saturn is Retrograde in Sagittarius possibly conjunct her Moon which explains problems through parents; of course nobody would expect to this degree. Both of her parents were older, her Father 20 years her Mother's senior so it would make sense to see a Moon-Saturn conjunction in this chart.

Genie's Mercury tells her story very well. Natally it is at 19 Taurus conjunct her South Node at 20 Taurus. Because of Retrograde it has been in conjunction with her South Node for her entire life. This all squares her natal Chiron in Aquarius. Prog.Mercury is just now moving away from the South Node as she is having her Chiron Return. Perhaps her life will be greatly improved by the attention that the Nova show and websites will bring. The ability to heal others while suffering an incurable wound is certainly strong in her life. The Scorpio North Node in aspect to Mercury and Chiron in Aquarius (experimentation) certainly matches the interest she sparked in the field of Psycholinguistics which studies the effects of psychology on language development.

When she was found in 1970, Genie's progressed Sun, p.Venus and t. Saturn were conjunct her Taurus South Node and Natal Mercury. And a huge stellium of transiting planets, Sun, Jupiter, Mercury and Venus were conjunct her Scorpio North Node (research, psychology).

Breaking the Sound Barrier

Ha! It looks like Mercury Retrograde ate my post. This was about Chuck Yeager's historic flight where he broke the Sound Barrier. Either Blogger has konked out or my new Virus spyware is monkeying around with my posts. Looks like the thing has disappeared into thin air. Guess that's appropriate.

Anyway, Yeager broke the Sound Barrier while Saturn-Pluto and Mars were conjunct his natal Neptune and opposing his Sun in Aquarius. He did it with two broken ribs and lots of competition and controversy. Steve Fossey, who just vanished into unknown regions while flying over the similar part of the World is also going through a similar conjunction, I believe. T. Pluto on natal Neptune or vice versa.
