Planet out in the Cancer Constellation is a Roller Derby Queen

A New Scientist article describes astronomers' discovery of a planet out in the constellation of Cancer which has more water than any other planet yet discovered.

55 Cancri e the closest of 5 planets to it's star which is called 55 Cancri. Like a clingy Cancer, it is so close to it's star that it's year is only 17 hours and 41 minutes. I think that's the length of the average TED Lecture.

55 Cancri e e is more than twice the size of earth and has constantly changing orbit because it's star has a companion star which throws all ideas of gravitational pull whacky. That's another typical cancerian characteristic. Well, whacky. But also ever changing orbit.

55 Cancri e is 70 percent rock at the center and 30 percent water. Because of extreme temperature and pressure changes from all that rolling around, the water is called supercritical water and is in-between a liquid and a gas.

Article says that you couldn't really do any star gazing from this planet and sea creatures couldn't exist in it's waters because of the changing orbit.

What the Hell Was He Thinking?

Story in the news last week about a guy who identifies as a woman and who pretended to be a doctor, a plastic surgeon, but who really belongs to an underground plastic surgery ring. This guy/gal, performed butt enhancement surgeries on women by injecting them with a special spackle made of cement, superglue, and flat-tire sealant.

There you go, no matter how hard you try to dress the guy up like a gal, you just can't take Home Depot out of his stupid sorry ass. There was no mention of Duct Tape in the article; maybe that's just "too 90's."

Thinking about this makes me want to throw up. It also made me feel mean and want to look the freak's birth date up in the cloud. This is probably not correct birth date, but I'm putting it out there for anyone who's curious. The chart is pretty amazing.

The Sun-Venus conjunction is opposing Uranus 15 Cap Rx - Neptune 18 Cap Rx. Sun-Venus opposite Neptune has overly idealistic view points of women, especially when Sun and Venus are in the sign of the Mother, Cancer. Add Uranus in on the mix and you've got total weirdness. This is why we need to add art class back into the classroom. This chart would thrive in art class. It's ok to be dumbed than shit in art class, it's actually desired. Creativity comes from making mistakes and veering from the norm, just not in this way.

Grand Fixed Square between Mercury-Mars-Chiron-Saturn-Pluto: Mercury 15 Leo-Chiron 11 Leo opposes Saturn 18 Aquarius Rx. Square Mars 19 Taurus opposing Pluto 21 Scorpio Rx. That's showing some real stress coming from childhood.

Commentary on this thing could go on for eons. Mercury shows the thinking process. Well, he got caught because of a "surgery" he performed in May 2010. That's Saturn Return stuff. Mercury c. Chiron doesn't help. Progressed Mercury in Rx doesn't help either.

He's not the only one out there. That's scary. If this chart is accurate, the 1 NN on the AP of Capricorn brought this guy out before the public. Unfortunately, not until after the Saturn-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto t-square hit it for the last 2 years.

Death of Sports Car Driver Dan Wheldon

Two-time winner of the Indianapolis 500, Dan Wheldon, died in a fiery crash during the 11th lap of a race in Las Vegas, NV yesterday.

I'm too Saturnian to follow race car driving but I looked at Wheldon's chart anyway to see if anything super obvious could have shown such a tragic accident. I was looking for the usual Mars-Uranus connection which shows accidents.

The Nodal Axis, both natal and transiting, were heavily afflicted with Wheldon's chart. That shows events relating to destiny.

Natally Wheldon had a North Node at 1 Libra which was squared by his natal Sun. The Sun in aspect with natal Nodes will show a connection between the life path and show of courage. It also represents Fire. The square aspect is considered a challenging influence.

Wheldon's Sun is also on the Aries Points which shows a need to come before the public. At this time, Uranus is transiting in close aspect over the South Node in Aries. Uranus rules sudden and unexpected events and accidents. South Node shows a problem in the life path. With Uranus in the sign that Mars rules we automatically have a 7 year transit which indicates accidents or other sudden and unexpected events, especially if it aspects one's natal chart.

So, that's the natal Nodes.

On the other hand, the transiting Nodal Axis is in close aspect with Wheldon's natal Neptune by one degree. Neptune rules Oil and Gas which I suppose is indirectly related to race car driving. It's not usually the first planet to look at relating to death but it actually does rule one of the death houses. Usually it is related to a chronic problem that has been around a while or fuzzy thinking, or even drugs and alcohol.

The Sun really stands out in Wheldon's chart in many ways. As I said he has it prominently placed on a significant spot at 1 Cancer. This squares his Nodal Axis within a tight 1 degree orb. His Sun is the lead planet of a locomotive chart. His career success seems to be connected with Solar Events. He has passed away at a significant age related to a Solar cycle. Age 33 is a significant year in the Solar Return chart cycle. The Sun in that chart returns to the same house where it was when the person was born.

Wheldon's Solar Return chart this year had a difficult Grand Square in it as Mercury was filling in the empty leg of the long term t-square aspect between Saturn-Uranus and Pluto. Mercury rules driving. It was interesting to read on Wikipedia that Weldon won his first Indianapolis 500 race on his Birthday in 2005, that's a Solar Return.

The only planet that Weldon's Sun has an aspect to is a sextile of his natal Mars in Virgo. Sextiles show talent and Mars and Sun together will show the impulse to go fast. The transiting Mars in Leo was squaring Wheldon's natal Uranus. That shows the tendency to get into an accident near this particular time.

I don't know what time the actual accident occurred but it looks as if the Moon in Gemini was passing over the Gemini South Node and was in a sextile/trine aspect with transiting Mars. Gemini and Mercury rule driving, along with Mars, so this perhaps is the spot where one sees that a situation involved with driving will occur.

Dakota Meyer at the Bridge

Back in college I decided to major in Classics for awhile. Problem with that was comprehension. The Greeks and the Romans were smart folks and I didn't really have all the brain power necessary to absorb all that creativity. From all the boring penguin editions that I read from I can only remember two anecdotes.

Herodotus was actually fun (at times) even when he was talking about Generals of Armies and things. He invented the idea of History by writing down all the mythology and stories about the culture in which he lived. There was no pressure to be accurate at that point and sometimes he is called the Father of Lies for his tendency to include fabrications and fantastic stories that nobody believes.

Among the most boring historian on earth had to have been Livy who lived in ancient Rome. He was dry and long-winded and probably pretty accurate in his tellings. Livy wrote many many many many Penguin Editions. After a while I realized that it was a waste of time for me to read him because I could not remember anything he wrote. Except for one story -- that of Horatio at the Bridge.

At this point, it's about 30 years later so I've got all the details mixed up about Horatio. What I do remember is that the story of Horatio was so out of character for Livy and seemed so unreal that we all just guffawed at it in class. Where the hell did Livy get off including this unbelievable story in his assemblage of mass and accurate detail?

From what I remember Horatio was a Roman warrior who was defending a bridge, a key transport route down to Rome. He spent hours maybe days fending off a bunch of grinning blue eyed Aryans who I seem to remember had just crossed the Alps on the backs of Elephants. Hmm, maybe the elephants were part of another story about Persians, sorry. Anyway, the Aryans were big and brash, you know, basic German tourists, but in this case they were out to sack Rome so probably carrying spears and rocks. By himself Horatio killed them all, however many there were. We all laughed about how Livy must have been on acid that day. Or that he was channeling Hercules who was a myth and didn't exist. Who could believe this story?

So, where was I? Oh yeah. The War in Afghanistan.

On Thursday President Obama awarded the highest medal possible to an ex-Marine named Dakota Meyer. Dakota defied his superiors' orders because his entire group of friends were caught in battle and were calling for help. The superiors denied the help.

Certain unnamed soldiers in command will supposedly lose their rankings/jobs for incompetence demonstrated that day. Meyer and another soldier, Juan Rodriguez-Chavez, should not even have had to do what they did if their superiors had been competent. The names of these guys are left out of the articles, but I think it's important because it looks to me as if there were issues with giving proper attention to where it is due. There were mix-ups. Mercury was stationing Retrograde.

While receiving his medal Meyer said that it seems unbelievable to receive so much attention for what had been the worst day of his life. Would be interesting to see his entire chart but if the date provided on Wikipedia is true then I could see how Meyer's life could unfold in this way. I actually remember the Greek concept of kalon-kakon, situations which is both a Blessing and a curse occurring at the same time.

I don't have Rodriquez-Chavez' birthday so I'm not going to discuss his astrology. He was given the second highest award that the Navy honors its heroes along with another officer, Ademola Fabayo. I've included a link to an interview with Fabayo the day after the battle down below which explains what happened from his point of view. He provides the timing for the battle which is important astrologically.

First thing astrologers will look at here is that Mercury was stationing Retrograde at 7 Libra in the 1st house right as this battle began. Mercury rules the Virgo rising. Mercury rules communications. Retrogrades indicate a time when Mercury's motion is seen from earth as moving backwards so in traditional astrology communications are said to break down more than usual. What it means is that Mercury spends an extra long time in one sign and there's no feeling of moving forward and smoothly.

There was a Sun-Saturn conjunction almost exactly on the Ascendant. Saturn rules cautionary actions, or stoppages altogether. Saturn is so careful that often he won't help. He also rules authority and bosses.

Saturn was opposing Uranus 26 Pisces which was in the 7th House of partnerships. Pluto wasn't quite within orb of squaring either one of them but he was also angular in H4 and on the very important Aries Point at 1 Capricorn.

The outer planet t-square aspect of these 3 planets has been going in and out of orb for the last two years-plus. It is considered a very stressful, life changing configuration. Lots of divorces, lots of market crashes, lots of earthquakes and floods (especially with Uranus and Neptune where they are). Lots of the types of changes that people don't handle very well.

This t-square describes the event pretty well. Saturn represents authority. Sun represents Military. Along with the Sun represents authority in the military. Placed in Virgo there might not be great leadership. Pluto in the 4th House represents spying, espionage, betrayal, death, an environment like quicksand. Mars in Cancer during the fight just enhances this. Pluto in Saturn's sign right on the Aries point shows that there might be some destruction of military command. And then there's Uranus the Revolutionary. He's in the 7th House getting ready to defy orders in order to save his friends. The 7th House is also significant in diplomacy matters and in dealing with open enemies.

Mercury rules this chart through the Virgo Rising. Although Virgo doesn't like to lead he can often do just as much by working through the details. In this case, the soldiers had the mentality to discern that they would have to deal with the situation on their own because the leadership wasn't there. They just kept charging and charging and charging. When one jeep broke they brought in another one.

I don't have the exact time that Meyer and Rodriquez-Chavez realized that they would have to act on their own. Time given is the beginning of gunfight according to the interview with Ademola Fabayo (url given at bottom). The current articles just say "before dawn."

When I read the first article about Dakota Meyer I just wanted to know what planets he's got in Scorpio. The Marines are all required to remember the birthdate of their corps which is November 10. It just seemed significant since the Marines are considered the hard core fighters who go in at the front lines. Scorpios don't necessarily like a crisis but they tend to be good at dealing with them because of their staying power.

It's pretty interesting that the only other Marine to receive this medal had the same birthday as the Marines. He was Jason Lee Dunham, born Nov. 10, 1981. He died on Apr. 22, 2004, 8 days after diving in to stick his helmet on top of a grenade to save his friends.

The story about how Dakota Meyer worked as the gunner while Rodriquez-Chavez drove the jeep is extraordinary, right out of Livy. These two ran 5 trips over a 6 hour period. Meyer jumped out of the jeep to drag the wounded back while the Taliban were shooting at them. Rodriquez-Garcia was driving the vehicle around to shield the wounded. As the gunner, Meyer was completely exposed. He killed 8 Taliban fighters, evacuated 12 wounded, provided cover for 24 Marines and soldiers (those number might not be exactly accurate).

It looks as if Meyer is mostly ruled by Water with a Cancer Sun and a North Node (Life Path) in Pisces and probably a Scorpio Moon. Personally I'm amazed that with all that water he performed so well out in the middle of the desert. Maybe he really has a Fire Sagittarius Moon. The water does give him great psychic abilities to see through a situation. Maybe it made him more invisible to the enemy. Ernest Hemingway was a Cancer Sun so one sort of gets that sense in Dakota Meyer as well.

Meyer's chart is amazing to look at in connection with this event.

For one, he has Mars in conjunction with his North Node at 22 and 17 Pisces respectively. Mars is the Warrior of Astrology and the North Node represents the true direction of one's life path. They are combined here in Pisces which isn't often considered the boldest aspect for a soldier by typical Western Military standards. But Pisces has other methods. He is probably very useful in dealing with smoke screens, deception and people who rely on terrorism in order to get ahead. Mars represents speed, impulse, rashness. This squares his natal Venus Rx and Mercury in Gemini. This combines his mental and physical coordination with his basic loyalties to his comrades in a challenging but energized way.

Transiting Uranus (rebellion, groups, friends, shock, surprise, sudden events) is within conjunction with Meyer's natal Mars by 4 degrees on the day of the fight. Uranus rules one's friends and community who he was fighting (Mars) for. Also, Meyer's progressed Mars is at 2 Aries on this day. This is directly squaring not only the big outer planet t-square of the day but is also squaring a huge opposition from Sun-Chiron to SAturn-Uranus-Neptune that Meyer has in his chart right on the Aries POints (coming before the public).

Transiting Mars was also involved at 8 Cancer. So it was right over Meyer's natal Sun and opposing his natal Neptune 9 Capricorn. Pluto, the higher octave of Mars, was at 1 Capricorn opposing Mars and in conjunction with his natal Saturn-Uranus-Neptune.

His natal Sun is in conjunction with Chiron, 6 and 1 Cancer respectively, and are opposing Saturn-Uranus who are in conjunction on the same degree at 29 Sagittarius. Therefore, his natal chart, the transiting chart, and his progressed chart all meld together on the strongest points of the astrological wheel. Interesting that the conjunction of Saturn-Uranus plays out during the transiting opposition of these same planets, but this mirroring seems to happen quite a bit. Everyone born around the time that Meyer was born will have this conjunction but their inner planets might not trigger an event quite as significant.

Pluto (ruler of the Marines) is also important to look at here. Pluto is considered the higher octave of Mars and so is considered sort of a spiritual warrior. He represents the use of human will and instinct.

Meyer's natal chart has Pluto strong in its own sign of rulership at 10 Scorpio. Because Pluto spends so long in one sign this is true for everyone of his generation. Pluto is strong in his chart because it trines his natal Sun. His Sun also disposits to Pluto. And Pluto is the Lead Planet of a locomotive chart shape. There's so much more to look at here. I'm simply amazed and shocked by this story. I hope he goes on to study great ideas in College and to further learn how to use his great talents. President Obama shared a beer with him on the White House lawn and gave him some good advice to just take it slow. After the Trojan War Odysseus spent 20 years getting lost trying to make his way back home. Interesting how one must go on a second journey in order to unwind from the first journey.


The beginnings of the battle according to DianaWest.net was at 5:30 am. It seems that Dakota Meyer and Juan Rodriguez-Chavez must have defied orders after about 7:30 am at some point.

MKULTRA

I don't remember hearing about this project. And, maybe that's intentional.

While laughing my head off at some of the videos having to do with gang stalking I found one of President Clinton confirming and apologizing for CIA experiments that were done on unwitting citizens back in the 50s and 60s.

Sorry, don't mean to laugh about the videos, it's just that they seem more like a cover-up than reality.

Anyway, back to the CIA and Mind Control and how much Fun is that?

Apparently there was this one operation called "Midnight Climax" in which LSD was given to men who went to whorehouses and their behavior was observed by the CIA through two way mirrors. This happened in San Francisco and Marin and New York, was supposedly shut down in 1965, and is probably the real reason for the Summer of Love in 1967.

So it sort of looks like Sun-Neptune is involved in mind control. And also in victimizing people without their consent. Venus is involved as well. And maybe unaspected Mercury.

The CIA program, MKULTRA was started on a New Moon in Aries conjunct Venus Rx. That says something special about the relationship axis right there. Sun and Moon in Aries in aggressive and Venus RX can't move. What a great time to start a program where you target people without their consent. This conjunction opposes an outer planet conjunction of Neptune 23 Libra Rx-Saturn 24 Libra Rx. This hooks the Mars-Venus personal energy into an overall feeling of being fearful and depressed and out of control by the general public.

The program was ended in 1973. At that point the Venus Retrograde in the natal chart was Stationing Direct by progression at 15 Aries. And transiting Uranus was in conjunction with the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Libra. Gottlieb was a stutterer and had a club foot. His life goal was to figure out "how to crush the human psyche."

Gottlieb had a natal conjunction of Sun to Neptune and Saturn just like the one which was occurring when he set up MKULTRA. His natal Saturn-Neptune conjunction was in Leo. MKULTRA was started during a Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Libra. And I thought that was just a signature for Broadway Musicals...

The CIA was giving LSD to whomever they felt like giving it to. So they gave it to a Biochemist who they met at a meeting. 10 days later the Biochemist committed suicide by jumping out a window and the CIA made up a story about how he had suffered from depression.

His name was Frank Olson. Olson had Sun conjunct Mercury and Neptune in Cancer which opposed Uranus 24 Capricorn Rx.

He was going through his Neptune square and his Uranus opposition at that point, so that significant natal opposition was under serious stress. Notice the death date. 1953 right after the program was started. It went on for 20 more years. Everyone at the CIA didn't give a shit. You know, a friend of my Mother's had always said that she had been given LSD and she was never quite right again. At the time she was going through a divorce so everyone said that this was just the stress from that. I don't know what her husband did, but I do know that there's a high probability that he worked for the Defense dept. How great to work for the Government when you're trying to avoid making alimony payments.

Carlina White was abducted when she was 19 days old. Her Mother brought her to a Hospital because she had a fever. A woman who claimed to be a nurse took the baby and walked off with her.

23 years later Carlina, renamed Nejdra Nance by her abductor-Mom, solved her own Missing Persons case by searching the cold cases on the website for Missing and Exploited Children. Carlina has since been reunited with her parents.

First off, I'm going to point out an interesting phenomena that I find occurring when babies experience a big trauma in their life within the first month of their birth. One can sometimes see a direct relation between age of baby by day that fans out into and correlates with age of baby by year by using a simple Solar Progression. For example, if a baby's parent walks out when the baby is 16 days old, the parent who walked out could return in to the baby's life at around age 16. You project one year for every day that the baby was. (I got this information first by looking at President Gerald Ford's bio and chart, his Father was kicked out for being violent when Ford was 16 days old. The Father walked up to Ford when Ford was 16-17 from out of the blue). In Carlina White's case, she was 19 days old when she was abducted. She began to look for her real parents 5 years ago when she would have been around 18 or 19. This is because her abductor couldn't give her a birth certificate.

This chart is pretty awesome to look at in terms of looking at a chart which represents a significant phone call and also through use of Internet. Mercury rules telephones. Uranus and probably Pluto rules the Internet. All three are angular.

Mercury, ruler of telephones, rules the Ascendant and Midheaven of the chart. Mercury is placed in the 4th house and is in conjunction with the IC. That's the point of the chart which represents family, mother, home.

Mercury is Retrograde which often represents a time when people from one's past come back in to one's life. Maybe this is a good thing for people to know about when looking for loved ones.

Mercury is also part of a Yod configuration here. Yods, as described in Karen Hamaker-Zondag's book on the subject, can show how a working out of a difficult family related problem can arise in an individual's life. That individual specifically has to work on this problem. That's maybe a good signature to have when calling anyone about family problems. Yods are triangle configurations in the chart that are made up of two planet connected by a sextile (talent) and connected to a third planet through inconjunct aspects (adjustment).

In this chart (phone call), the apex of the Yod is Moon in Cancer (H11). Moon directly rules Families and homelife, and specifically, the Mother. It was passing over Carlina's Sun at that point and was under the influence of the recent set of Eclipses. Moon is very strongly placed in its own sign. And, being in the 11th House shows some sort of weirdness connection. 11th House brings surprising events. In connection with the Moon it will definitely describe an unusual circumstance involving the Mother and the Family and Women in general (along with emotional needs) The 11th House rules Hopes and Wishes. It also rules the Internet and any kind of Network.

So, the Moon is connected to two legs of a triangle by Inconjunct aspects. Inconjuncts represent "Adjustment" and situations which seem to never feel right. In this case, the one leg is created by Mercury Retrograde in Sagittarius which is the key spot of the chart as Mercury rules phone calls. The other end of the leg is the tight conjunction of Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius. Neptune rules Hospitals and Social Workers and Chiron represents Woundings that don't heal. In this chart it is conjunct the 6th House of Jobs and Service and is unaspected by major aspect to the other planets. Don't really know how to concisely explain what this means except that the Universe was guiding Carlina at that point. The Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Pisces was within close orb of conjunction with the Descendant at that time. Jupiter brings Luck and Good Fortune and Uranus brings in the surprise element once again. The article linked to above talks about the person who answered the phone at the call center and helped Carlina. Carlina had been looking for 5 years so one can sense that this was not the usual person.

To top things off we look at the 3d House which rules Telephones. Venus (rules Relationships) is conjunct the cusp of this house to the degree (Placidus). Pluto rules the house. Pluto rules abductions, crimes of all sorts, and great detective work. As I said, Pluto is in a very significant conjunction with the North node (Destiny), Mars and the Sun in Capricorn and is placed in the 4th House of Family, Mother, Home.

It's interesting to notice the strength of Mars related to Carlina. This can show a person's ability to iniate and do things on one's own. Carlina has natal Mars 6 (Or 7?_) Leo squaring Pluto 8 Scorpio in her chart. One never knows how this aspect will work out in life but sometimes it can indicate a connection to a criminal event. There will be lessons involved in wilfulness both in one's self and in others.

The day that Carlina was abducted Mars had moved to 19 Leo. Her progressed Mars has been passing over that spot and is currently 2 degrees past at 21 Leo.

Carlina also has a natal Sun-Jupiter square which can show that she carries a lucky streak (and also is probably a bit more sensitive when things don't feel "right"). Squares give one the energy to take on a challenge. Jupiter wants Happy Endings to all its stories. It adds the concept of Redemption to all philosophical and moral problems.

Since Ceres and Pluto are connected through a story of abduction in Mythology I wanted to hopefully quickly check those planets in Carlina's chart.

Ceres represents the Goddess of Agriculture whose daughter Persephone is abducted by Pluto. There is a whole story about Ceres' pain and wrath over this and eventually Pluto returns Persephone to live above ground with her Mother for half of the year in return for keeping Persephone the other half of the year below ground. This explains the seasons. For half of the year, the crops don't grow as a result of Ceres' loss.

Turns out that Carlina's natal Ceres is at 24 Sagittarius which is exactly conjunct her natal Uranus and opposing natal Chiron 25 Gemini. I've spoken about how Uranus brings about unusual circumstances and also the idea of the Internet and all networks. It is unusual to be an abducted baby and it is probably even more unusual to be returned to one's family after such a long time. The sign of Sagittarius seems very significant here. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter and as I said before, Jupiter requires Happy Endings. Sagittarius is an independent sign which rules free, positive thinking which can solve large problems.

Mercury Retrograde was in Jupiter's sign at 24 Sagittarius at the time of Carlina's phone call. And, as I've stated it was very strongly placed in conjunction with the IC of the phone call chart (and squaring Jupiter-Uranus-DESC).

Without a birth time I can't say for sure, but it would be really interesting to know the exact placement of Carlina's natal Moon. The noontime chart places it at 26 Pisces. This would mean that it is apex to a t-square to Ceres-Uranus opposing Chiron. The Moon is so key to a story about both babies and abductions and family life and Mothers. Placement in Pisces which rules Hospitals and Lost Children and Orphans seems almost too good to be true.

Carlina's natal Pluto is in its own sign of Scorpio. Pluto is related to most crimes as it shows deep seated problems and compulsions. This is especially so in square to Mars 6 Leo. It is also trining Mercury and Venus 8-13 Cancer. Trines are aspects which show talents and can explain why the adductor was so taken with Carlina's charms (unfortunately).

At the time of Carlina's phone call to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Moon 25 Cancer (H11) was in opposition to Ceres 26 Capricorn. Mercury-Sun-Pluto-NN-Mars were all placed over the end of Sagittarius/beginning of Capricorn in the 4th House. In a way, Carlina is like a real life version of Dorothy of Oz.

Just click your heels together!!! (Red, as in Ruby Slippers, is even the color of Mars-Pluto!).

I'm still trying to figure out if there is a significance in the Planetary Cycles for Carlina's return home. Cycles are literally planetary Returns so probably I'm just forcing it but I'd really like to see a literal return of a planet. As I said, Progressed Mars has hit the spot where transiting Mars was during the abduction.

Also, The big stellium in the 4th House is directly over Carlina's natal Neptune. Pluto-Neptune connections can show a wiping out of something in the individual's life. Carlina has just found out not only her real family but her real name.

Lilith is very strong in both charts. She is in conjunction with Carlina's natal Sun and is in conjunction with the Descendant in the phone call chart.

Carlina's about to have a Jupiter Return but the degrees are too out of orb even for my compulsion to make things work.

Oliver Sacks and the Moon

As usual, interesting interview on the NPR Radio Show Fresh Air with Terry Gross. Terry interviews neurologist Oliver Sacks about his new book The Mind's Eye.

Sacks has so many neurological problems himself and yet is so likable he sort of makes me want to be psychotic. This latest book discusses visual perception and is influenced by Sacks' personal health problems in this area. During the last few years, ever since the Saturn-Neptune opposition it seems, Sacks has been fighting some serious problems with vision. As a neurologist he has amazing insights into what is going on with receiving a Cancer diagnosis, going through treatment, and with losing the eyesight in one of his eyes, and also living with the thought that he may lose sight in the other eye. As a writer he can express what he is going through with amazing clarity. This past year Sacks has suffered the loss of eyesight in his right eye. The Right eye is often said to be ruled by the Sun and relationship with the Father. The Left eye is often said to be ruled by the Moon and the relationship with the Mother. Sacks is a Sun in Cancer person so I suppose he could be one or the other.

Sacks also suffers from a condition called "Face Blindness." This means that he can't easily recognize faces, even his own. Sacks and Gross talked about the famous portrait painter Chuck Close who apparently suffers from a very pronounced version of Face Blindness as well. That's a very interesting idea since Close is one of the most prominent modern portrait painters. He paints huge portraits which he graphs off of photographs in the super realistic style. Close has survived a very devastating neurological disorder which left him in a wheel chair and unable to hold a paint brush. Yet he has managed to strap on paint brushes and to continue painting his huge pixilated portraits.

I've discussed the charts of both men on this blog somewhere, Sacks and Close, (can't find Gross' birth date). I think it is interesting that they are both Cancerians. Perhaps this is a sign which struggles to recognize faces. This is especially interesting since the Moon is more closely related to facial imagery in myth, through the Man in the Moon lore. Close is a double Cancer with both Sun and Moon in that sign. Both men also struggle with neurological problems. They both also live on the East Coast which probably means that they just think too hard or something (that's a joke, I'm just saying that it's obviously just a coincidence).

I wonder if the sign of Cancer is related to the face, or maybe our projection of the face. Most people agree it looks like the face of a man from our point on earth. But, on a different level, maybe, since it reflects the light of the Sun perhaps it provides clues to how we perceive others. I've always assumed that this was a Libra thing but maybe they are interrelated. No? Okay, far fetched. Here's something stupid to think about. Maybe Facial Recognition software works best on a Full Moon, haha. I believe that newborns are thought to be able to recognize their Mother's faces around 1 month old. This coincides with the first Lunar Return. The Moon represents the Mother in Astrology.

What does seem to work is the fact that in the legal field, witnesses to crimes are considered very unreliable as evidence. People can't "see" reliably during a highly emotional and stressful event such as a crime. People also can't "remember" well either. Memory is often heavily related to the sign of Cancer. Shakespeare's Juliet does tell Romeo not to swear by the inconstant orb.

I do tend to believe, after working for lawyers for many year, that Capricorns, the opposite sign, have unbelievably reliable memory for fact. They can perceive and retain correct information really well. (They just can't tolerate people who can't do as well as they can) Or, at least, the ones in my office did. The Capricorns were known as rainmakers because they could use this talent not only in the courtroom but socially they could easily shmooze with the clients. It helps if you have instant recall for names and faces, very few of us do.

This Face Blindness only indicates that a person can't recognize faces. A person can recognize facial expression and can appreciate beauty. Terry Gross asked about that, really interesting question. (Sure wish I knew her birth date so I could find out what Venus/Voice is doing in her chart)

In my post on Sacks (I think I published it, hope so) I seem to remember that I was concentrating on how secondary progressed Mercury has moved through his chart during his life. That's an interesting thing to look at in a neurologist because Mercury rules the thinking processes along with Uranus which rules the nervous system (and probably Sun which rules the spine). From what I remember Mercury had gone Rx at some point during his childhood right around the time that he was sent to boarding school because of the War. And it stationed Direct at some point just as he was entering into the work world and made his L-Dopamine discovery (What was that movie?). He says that he began to have Visual Migraines at around Age 4-5 which caused some temporary blindness problems. He said that in 1965 while taking amphetamines he went through a 2 week phase where he had heightened sensory perceptions related most to visual memory involving concrete details. He could suddenly draw. I'm too lazy to look it all up right now and I still don't have a birth time for him and I don't believe that Astrotheme has his chart readily available so I'm putting it off for now.

Wow, I've got to get that book. Maybe it will include the exact week in 1965 when Sacks was tripping. (Terry Gross kept pushing to get more info about that and Sacks was getting defensive, it was a gas).

The RSVP Cycles

The RSVP Cycles was a textbook I read for an experimental music class in college. Having grown up in Southern California in the 1960s in a town where 35 modernist architects lived, one of whom was my Father, I think I took this type of thinking for granted. The book was written by Lawrence Halprin, a landscape architect, (and innovator) and his wife, Anna Halprin, who is a dancer, choreographer (and healer and innovator). RSVP stands for "Resources" "Score" "Valuaction" and "Performance." There's a nice explanation on Wikipedia. These principles propose a new way of understanding how to create, sort in the way that John Cage's books do, but with more structure. For the music class it was a text on composition. It could just as easily be a text on design, or dance, or painting, or anything else. Beyond that, I have to say that I didn't really "get the whole idea." Lessons in those days were usually kept pretty vague as a way of avoiding any authoritarian set rules.

What attracts me now is the word "Cycles," especially connected with the word RSVP, since I'm so much into studying Return Cycles as points of development. Lawrence Halprin passed away last year in 2009 on October 25. There must have been a mention in a newspaper somewhere about this anniversary on Monday that caught the corner of my eye because I suddenly started thinking about that book.

So, I decided to take a look at Anna and Lawrence Halprin's charts. What I found is a really amazing pair of Sun-Venus conjunction people. Sun-Venus is related to both the Arts, Harmony, Balance and Beauty, and also Marriage Partners. I can't find astro data about their actual marriage and don't know if they remained married. It appears that they stayed together, but with Uranus leading both of their chart shapes they probably kept their relationship pretty loose.

Not only did they share the conjunction but they shared it in the same sign in Cancer. The sign of Cancer is really appropriate for people who are involved in environmental design. (Think Buckminster Fuller, Tesla, Viktor Schauberger). Water is an extremely important element in Lawrence Halprin's design. The idea of allowing things to evolve and to grow from a seed is also a Cancerian ideal.

What's even more interesting is that Lawrence Halprin, who was born first in 1916, had a natal Sun conjunct Venus Retrograde and Pluto in Cancer. Sun-Venus conjunction people sometimes follow a really interesting 8 year cycle of 5 which is related to the proportions of the Golden Mean. It appears that Sun-Venus Rx people follow a 4 year Return cycle as well. Lawrence was going through a Sun-Venus Return at Age 4 when his wife was born. Both even have the conjunction aspect connected with outer planets by conjunction, but not in major aspect to other planets. Lawrence had a huge stellium in Cancer with Pluto, Sun, Venus Rx, Lilith, Saturn and possibly Moon.

Anna's Sun-Venus conjunction is later on in the sign at 21-24 degrees. Her Pluto is 8 Cancer.

It's really fascinating to flip the animation wheel on the software program and watch how the Sun-Venus Rx conjunctions cycle back on through every year on Lawrence's Birthdays in childhood. I said before that Sun and Venus seem to have been in conjunction every four years (something I don't understand because I thought this occurred every 8 years). Lawrence also experienced really intense Sun-Pluto conjunctions every year on his Birthday for about the first 10 years of his life.

Because Pluto is placed farther apart from her Sun, Anna also would have had the same type of Solar Return aspect every year during her childhood starting from about Age 6 or 7 and lasting through High School. That explains their need to completely change and transform their environment and ways of healing. They shared a very deep emotional core, that's for sure. They must have been left alone a lot as kids.

This post is probably about the guy who invented flying saucers! That's right, June Lockhart, if the United States Air Force hadn't confiscated this guy's papers maybe he could have finished his design and the Jetsons Cartoon hour would have become reality. (We won't discuss the Global Warming "embarassment"). Schauberger knew all along that modern 20th century carbon based machinery knocks everything out of balance.

Schauberger was a forester who grew up under a tree in Austria. He was fascinated by the way that streams and creeks flow. He used his first observations on nature to figure out ways to transport logs down streams in ways which saved huge amounts of transportation money for the foresters. He developed a theory that "nature creates vortices to create equilibria." As 4th House/Cancer rules drains I guess the astrology is right on target. Schauberger developed theories about the structure of water. He said it is densest when cold and also just after the Full Moon. Interesting because he himself was born just after a Full Moon. I'm getting and probably misinterpreting his theories from the blurb on Wikipedia so go there for a better explanation. There is a great movie by Caleb Coates about Schauberger's theories. The first part has an incredible explanation about how Trout live perfect lives just because of how they are shaped. They can let the current of the water flow right past them in perfect waves while they remain motionless. All they have to do is open their mouths in order to let the algae and plankton food come right into them. It's one of my all time favorite scenes from a documentary.

As the Wikipedia article says, Schauberger felt that "nature creates vortices to create equilibria." I was looking for Libra influence in his chart and didn't notice anything outstanding. However, his North Node is at 30 Virgo. This means that it had just finished an entire transit of Libra so he was perhaps born with a special amount of knowledge in all things Libra. It is also conjunct Uranus which shows an ability to be very innovative. And this is still considered an Aries Point which brings public prominence to whatever expression he uses of that energy.

Schauberger was trying to figure out ways to create effortless natural motion. This hooks into his natal chart and the transits of his life perfectly as Schauberger was born during a very powerful trine aspect. He was born during the big 19th century conjunction of Neptune to Pluto so he was part of a generation that was given an abnormal amount of information about all things mysterious and beyond understanding of normal human behaviors. These are the two outer most "Planets" in the solar system (well until recently). They are also the only two planets which human beings can never experience an entire cycle of in their lifetimes.

Neptune 25 Taurus c. Pluto 3 Gemini was trining an exact conjunction of Uranus to the North Node at 30 Virgo in Schauberger's chart which I talked about earlier. Uranus rules innovation and Virgo is an earth sign known for exceptional abilities in technology and understandings of how things work. This trine may actually expand out into a Grand Trine with Schauberger's natal Aquarius Moon. How's that for an innovator of working with "effortless natural motion" and the structure of water and how things flow and really incredible understandings of how to work with, not against, Nature? If you want to understand how to make things move, don't build a motor (Mars), let them flow in the direction that works best. Yay! Come on Americans, work this!

Okay, I don't have a time for his Moon but it will be in Aquarius.

So, it appears that Schauberger fell in with a bad crowd. Namely, he fell in with Hitler. Grand Trines can make a person a little too trusting. I've seen them come up in the charts of spies, however, because they can usually help a person get out of whatever he gets in to.

According to Wiki, Schauberger first met Hitler in 1934. So perhaps he willingly fell in with Nazi ways of thinking at first, eventually he was forced to work for them. Maybe at that point Hitler was interesting. The Swastika was originally an ancient symbol for something I don't know what. It looks like things got weird really fast, however, and by Schauberger was sent to a mental hospital in 1941 where he was incarcerated. He was forced to design for the Nazis after that. In 1944 he had designed something called a Repulsine which is basically a UFO. In 1945 he designed a Klimator which was to cool and warm air in living spaces.

After the war the U.S. kept Schauberger in custody for 9 more months. At that point they and the Russians confiscated his papers and prototypes. The timing hooks up too beautifully with the U.S. interest in UFOs. The War ended 1945. The U.S. Air Force set up various projects which studied Unidentified Flying Objects from 1947 to 1969. These were called Project Sign, Project Grudge, and Project Blue Book. Kenneth Arnold (I wrote about his sightings in a previous blog post) reported the first sighting of a UFO at Mount Rainier, Washington on June 24, 1947. The guy who was in charge of Project Blue Book was also a Cancer. It looks like Cancers have a natural fascination with the vortices. I guess also that Pluto's transit over their Cancer Suns early in life gave them a little extra oomph in occult understandings.

So, back to Schauberger's natal chart. Mercury 13 Cancer is out of bounds in his natal chart at 24 degrees 25 minutes. This says that there is something exceptional in his thinking processes. His memory would have been really long, it would have gone all the way back to the big bang probably. Mercury is conjunct Sun 9 Cancer. Both of these would have passed over Venus 25 Cancer by progression early on. Perhaps this is why he began to understand the need to keep things in balance early on. He has no planets in Fire in his chart, perhaps this explains why he has such an interest in motion and speed and expense of energy.

So then the yucky. Here comes Hitler. Schauberger was born with no planets Retrograde. That's sort of unusual but also indicates that he didn't have to doubt himself much early on and can lead to great leaps of creativity. Schauberger's Mercury Stationed Retrograde in 1935 the year after he met Hitler. This was at 19 Virgo. (Remember, he's got that conjunction of Uranus-NN on the last degree of Virgo.) This will show that something is slowing down in his mental processes. In his case "slowing down" could be interpreted in really interesting ways. Either way, his judgement and ability to express himself clearly might not have been at peak performance. Also, his progressed Sun was at 26 Leo which is squaring his natal Neptune-Pluto conjunction over the Taurus-Gemini cusp. Sun squares to Neptune-Pluto? OO-boy, that's just a tough one. By 1941 he was halfway through creation of his UFO. He was also sent to a mental institution. Considering the progressions, he may have been acting oddly, but wouldn't you be acting oddly as well if this is the type of stuff you were capable of creating? At any rate, Neptune rules being incarcerated, Pluto:paranoia, so, there you have it.

In 1941 when Schauberger was incarcerated there was a conjunction of Saturn-Uranus at the cusp of Taurus-Gemini (1 degree for Uranus) which was trining a conjunction of Neptune to the North Node at the end of Virgo (22-28 degrees). This is layered right over Schauberger's big natal Trine of Neptune-Pluto to Uranus-NN! In May of that year there was actually a huge stellium in Taurus right over his natal Neptune: Lilith, Mercury, Sun, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus (Jupiter and Uranus right over Neptune).

His progressed Mercury was also Rx in the vicinity of Neptune-NN transit at 18 Virgo along with p.Jupiter at 14 Virgo. And his progressed Sun was exact on natal Jupiter 3 Virgo. That looks lucky?

But, also his progressed Saturn was approaching conjunction with natal Sun by about 2 or 3 degrees. That's the Government intervention stuff. It's also just a snuffing out of the creative energies by selfish authority figures. Perhaps it could also account for the loss of popularity. I mean, the anti-Nazi sentiment after the War had to have hurt this guys' chances. I guess the Rx Mercury could also account for the confiscated papers and stolen ideas by Governments. One can really see how the Outer Planet stuff can mess with a person's inner planet problems.

Schauberger eventually did come to the U.S. to work for a while. It's really frustrating to read his story from the vantage point of more distant future. This is the guy whose road ought to have been taken. Okay, okay, I don't know if all his ideas work. But, can you imagine where we'd be if he'd been able to live in ordinary times?

So, there you have it. Yes, the aliens are out there. But, the humans are as well. Go roll a log down a stream and figure out how to fix Global Warming.

Dr. Franz Halberg - Chronobiology

Now that the Sun has woken up we can perhaps expect more problems with Heart Attacks. At least in Minnesota where Dr. Franz Halberg has spent more than 50 years studying Chronobiology in humans this might be the case. Working at the University of Minnesota Halberg has found that Heart Attacks occur on a 10.5 year cycle which correlates with the Solar Cycle. He has also found significant cycles in human healing relating to 7 days and 1.3 years and others.

A fascinating article about Halberg published in Minnesota Medicine (2005; 88(110); 26) called "Father Time" by Kim Kizer.

Dr. Halberg has doubled the cure rate of cancerous tumors simply by determining the best time to treat the patients. His wife was one of his patients. He has also found that chances for stroke can be greatly reduced by following individual blood pressure fluctuations in patients. Even treatment can be enhanced by following the individual cycles of a human.

“One of the big mistakes that’s made
is to believe that we can treat by clock hours,” he says. “We
have to treat by body times.”

Sun 13 Cancer; Moon Libra; NN 2 Sagittarius

I was looking for the Significance of Saturn in Dr. Halberg's chart, especially to see if Saturn relates to Pluto because I remembered that the guy who created the Atomic Clock had a strong Sun-Saturn-Pluto link. Well, that's wrong of course because we're not looking for Atomic timing (I'm not sure if it really is the Atomic clock, could be something else, is just very precise, I wrote about him somewhere on this blog). Anyway, with Pluto in Capricorn which is Saturn's sign of rulership I guess we will learn all kinds of things about timing and will return to the fine science of direct observation. Halberg has natal Sun in Cancer which is the sign opposite Capricorn and his Sun is conjunct natal Pluto in Cancer. So, that's the Sun-Pluto connection. That shows a caring Doctor who is receptive to his patients' needs (I think they've become obsolete these days) and who also excels at research. And his Saturn is in Leo so it disposits to the Sun.

Natal Saturn is conjunct Venus and is opposing Uranus. Now this makes sense. Uranus rules cycles and circulatory systems. Have to say that I don't understand Venus' relevance here except to say that Halberg has worked his whole life with the women in his family, his wife and his daughters. Venus rules harmonizing, balancing, etc. It's probably a very overlooked planet in researcher's charts.

Much of Halberg's research surrounds illnesses related to the heart which really shows the significance of his Saturn (Timing). He has 4 planets in the sign of Leo. Mercury is conjunct Neptune at the beginning of Leo and Venus is conjunct Saturn at the end of Leo.

Very interesting to observe the progressions of Mercury and the Sun. Because of a Retrograde roughly between the years 1947 and 1970, Halberg' progressed Mercury didn't leave Leo until until 1985. It was in conjunction with the Saturn-Uranus opposition in his chart for much of that time which could explain why he was able to concentrate so strongly on these specific observations. (It's an out of sign opposition, Uranus is at 2 Pisces Rx but has backtracked into Aquarius for his entire life). The progressed Sun passed through Leo for 30 years. It his Mercury-Saturn around 1967-68-69.

The influence of Dr. Halberg's Uranus is further emphasized in his chart as it is the handle of a Sling Chart. Solar Fire distinguishes between sling charts and bucket charts I guess. It looks as if Uranus is set off from the rest of the planets which are within a bundle. Either way, this puts an emphasis on innovation, new thoughts, futuristic thinking and, within the body, the circulatory system and cycles and also the shins and ankles. He also has no planets in Earth. We tend to be attracted to whatever our charts lack and this is perhaps why such a futurist stuck with Western Medicine and Science. It sounds as if nobody is disputing his research, they're just more interested in making pills these days than in figuring out how to administer them. Halberg's Venus is just coming out of Retrograde this year in the sign of Virgo so perhaps the damned AMA will finally come around.

Born on the Cancer/Capricorn AP's

A very interesting study has found that a migratory bird, the Arctic Tern, flies the longest distance per year of any bird. This bird literally flies from pole to pole logging in between 36,000 miles and 50,000 miles per year. The North and South Poles on the Astrological Wheel may be represented by the Cancer and Capricorn cusps. They are represented upside down as Cancer rules the North and Capricorn rules the South. Interesting that these birds chose to nest in the North. They lay their eggs right around the time of the Summer Solstice which is the Cancer Cusp.

Wikipedia and another article that I've lost the link to says that these birds are very long lived, average life is 20 years, and they are monogamous. They have quite a romantic courtship dive bombing into each other. Both parents share raising of the kids, the male feeds the female, and other species of birds try to set up their nests around them because they are such fierce protectors of their children.

So, what would their signs be? They like Summer so much they fly from pole to pole each year so they can have two summers.

Well, can't be sure, but the mating season occurs up at the North Pole on the tundra at the end of May and beginning of June. And they lay their eggs 22-27 days after that. This means that the eggs are laid right around the Summer Solstice which is the Cancer AP. Once the kids have their feathers fully greased the entire family bops on down to the South Pole in time for Summer down there. These birds are perhaps magnetically attracted to the Summer Solstice because they are born right on the Aries Point for that Season. (I wonder if Scientists are noticing any weird shifts of behavior right now over where they choose to call home. I'm sure they will know about poles shifting long before any human does.)

I suppose the true birthday is when the birds hatch and I'm not really sure of when that would be. Wikipedia says that they "Fledge" 21-24 days after the eggs are laid. Sounds like a bunch of Michael Phelps style Cancers. They just need to stay out of Vegas and away from the bongs.

American Student Convicted for Murder of Roommate

I've been ignoring the Amanda Knox case. She's the girl from Seattle who went to study in Italy and has now been convicted, along with two others, for murder of her English roommate Meredith Kerchner. Amanda has been convicted along with her boyfriend at the time, native Italian son of a Doctor, also a student. His name is Raffaele Sollecito. Another man has been convicted as well, Rudy Guede. Guede, I don't believe is a student. He is an African immigrant who very likely had sex with Kerchner before her murder.

It's unclear to me who knew whom in this scenario. The media has been publishing all kinds of bizarre storeis. It's very clear that Amanda Knox's weird behavior after the murder has helped to convict both her and her boyfriend. Knox kept changing her stories.

It's very strange that no one called the police at any time after hearing Meredith's screams and finding the house broken into and blood spattered all over, so there was a cover up. Rude Guede, (the immigrant) says that he was listening to his ipod and didn't hear the scream. He fled to Germany that night. Knox apparently confessed under police pressure and then says that she covered her ears during the scream. The neighbor says she heard it. Knox and her boyfriend were sitting outside the apartment when police happened to show up after finding her and Meredith's cell phones in a neighbor's yard. There's another guy who was taken in and held for two weeks because Knox accused him of having committed the crime. It's difficult to know because Knox may have been too young, she may not have been able to speak Italian very well, she may have really succumbed to the police interrogation.

First of all, this case sounds like nobody in Italy calls the Italian Police for help when it is needed. I traveled through Italy when I was 18 and from what I saw I can understand why nobody would call the Italian Police but that was a really long time ago and figured that things would have changed by now. The murder happened just as Saturn moved into Virgo. Virgo rules the Police and Saturn generally messes up anything that isn't very well organized when it hits the sign of rulership. After watching Nancy Grace the other night to find out what this case was about I heard how the police screwed up on the evidence. Nancy always says that the police screwed up, though. That's why I love Nancy.

Saturn is in detriment in this chart because he was conjunct the Nodal South Node at the time of the murder. That's a real Devil is in the Details aspect so the details are probably where the problem lies. I can't really answer for Amanda Knox's weird behavior except that she's a Cancer Sun like me and we're totally useless in an emergency. George Bush Jr. is a Cancer Sun. Look what he did to a whole country after 9/11.

If you look at the 4 charts of the crime, the 3 who are convicted and the victim, you will notice that it looks a bit like the Victim is the Killer. Meredith had the nasty Mars-Pluto-South Node in Scorpio conjunction. Some astrologers would convict a nun if they saw this aspect. Actually, some nuns ought to be convicted, but, if I go off on that I'll be acting as dopey as Amanda Knox.

Of course, often a victim's chart will look like a killer's chart. There's just some scary propensity for violence indicated here. One could be violent or attract it or become it because of having attracted it. Either way, both roommates had Mars-Pluto aspects. Kercher had the conjunction and Knox has the square. This could certainly have added an additional problem with willfulness which could include rape and murder, sex crimes, dressing up like a vampire because it's the day after Halloween.

On Nov. 1, 2007, the night of the murder (around 11:00 pm? in Perugia, Italy) the Sun and Lilith were both in conjunction with both roommates' natal Plutos. As a matter of fact, the two men involved in the crime had Pluto around the same spot as well.

The event chart shows a more complicated story here as the Sun-Lilith conjunction is squaring a Moon-Chiron opposition. The reason why I looked at the charts in the first place was because I wanted to see if Moon and Chiron were heavily aspected because I believe that these two working together might indicate being falsely accused, or of making false accusations. It certainly is prominently placed in this chart as the Moon-Chiron opposition is conjunct the Asc-Desc of the 11:00 timing of the murder. So, this does describe something related to the murder. Chiron rules Teachers and Wounds that can't be fixed. The Moon rules Women. It also rules Amanda Knox's chart as she is a Cancer Sun with Mercury Rx and Venus in that sign as well. She also has Lilith at 26 Cancer. Transiting Mars was passing between her natal Mercury Rx and her natal Sun at the time of the murder. It is said that she had dressed up as a Vampire for Halloween the night before. This was definitely a good transit for convincingly dressing up as a Vampire. To see if someone is really wigging out you want to see the Moon and maybe Uranus involved. Uranus and Mars were in a Grand Trine with the Sun-Lilith conjunction. This Grand Trine was affecting the Pluto of both women's charts.

Mercury in the event chart is also very prominent. It is conjunct the IC (root of the matter and the home) and it is just stationing direct in the sign of Libra. The moment that Mercury comes out of Retrograde can often indicate a log jam of snafus. (So says Bob Marks). It certainly describes Student Housing, Neighbors, faulty thinking, miscommunications, police error, lies, media lies. It could indicate why Amanda Knox couldn't get her story straight. Don't know why she was doing cartwheels during police interrogation. (She could be heavily affected by all things lunar. Her natal Moon placed at noontime (which probably isn't correct) is moving extremely fast and is placed way out-of-bounds up at 28 degrees and something. Also her chart is a Seesaw shape so she is probably always playing a balancing act, her natal Mercury is Retrograde so she probably doesn't talk straight too much of the time, and she has no Air in her chart, so she's a bit of a space cadet.)

What's interesting is the amount of Cardinal Sign prominence in the charts of those involved. I don't have an explanation for this other than to observe that birds of a feather flock together. Kerchner and Rudy Guede (who she had sex with) were both Capricorns with Sun conjunct Neptune. Amanda Knox is a Cancer Sun with Moon either in Sagittarius or Capricorn. Raffaele Sollecito is an Aries with Moon either in Capricorn or Aquarius. There is the possiblity that all 4 have Cardinal Moon signs as well. As Cardinal Signs tend to be the Starters of the Zodiac maybe what happened is connected with not finishing something.

Knox and Guede both have Aries North Nodes which are Cardinal as well. Sollecito (the boyfriend) has Sun conjunct Amanda's North Node. Bet that's one relationship they both regret having entered into.

Anyway, with the weird stories that people have been giving it would be impossible to know what happened. It looks like the evidence wouldn't convict Amanda Knox if only she hadn't been changing her story every 5 seconds and doing cartwheels during police questioning. But, then again, the Italian Police are said to be a really strange bunch. It looks like Rudy Guede really did have sex with Meredith Kercher and it also looks like Kercher was trying to fight her killer off. So, he's certainly implicated. There is no mention at all of where the other two roommates were at the time of the murder.

Kercher's death is certainly described by that Mars-Pluto-South Node in Scorpio conjunction. My understanding obviously doesn't go much farther than that.

Murder of Yale Pharmacology Student Annie Le

24-year old Annie Le, a Yale Pharmacology student, disappeared last Tuesday just days before her wedding. After a massive hunt her body was found yesterday apparently stuffed into a basement wall in the school laboratory where she was last seen photographed by security cameras as she entered the building at 10:00 am. This young woman's name is Annie Le. I send condolences to Le's family and friends for this horrible crime. I can't make heads or tails of her murder but am just trying to post aspects which I have found.

born July 3, 1985 (Place? I used Placerville, CA because that's where Le is from, but have no idea where she was born).

Sun 12 Cancer; Moon Capricorn or Aquarius; NN 16 Taurus

Le was born with Sun conjunct Mars in Cancer. This is a very spirited combination, but for a woman it can sometimes show victimization by men, as Mars in Cancer combines the energies of two youthful and emotional planets which conflict with each other and are often involved in crime (see www.bobmarksastrologer.com for great statistical studies about murder). Le's Sun-Mars is trining her natal Saturn in Scorpio which shows that she would have toned down her impulsive nature with discipline.

We've just finished a very emotional and volatile conjunction transit of the Moon to Mars in Cancer in which many people have been reported as acting erratically (Joe Wilson during President's speech, Serena Williams at a tennis match, Kanye West at the MTV awards). This would have affected Le very strongly as it involves a Mars Return for her, which is in the Moon's sign.

At Age 24, Le was also going through a Jupiter Return in Aquarius. Normally I would see this as a very positive set of aspects for someone going to school for higher learning. Jupiter rules Higher Learning and truth seeking (and probably truth finding).

Le has Mars (Impulse, Action) and Jupiter (Opinions, Higher Learning, Religion, etc.) in aspect with each other in a inconjunct aspect (adjustments of elements that don't quite work, health problems) in a couple of different configurations, one a Yod with Uranus in Sagittarius (Jupiter and Uranus are in mutual reception in her chart). This Yod fans out to an even bigger figure (not sure what it would be called) with her natal North Node in Taurus. Uranus (innovation, experimentation, erratic behaviors) is inconjunct with her North Node (life path).

Because of this combination of Mars-Jupiter-Uranus I would sort of assume that an accident or mistake was involved with her death. However, news reports are saying that it looks as if it was intentional.

If Le had a Capricorn Moon and not an Aquarius Moon then both her Jupiter and Uranus are singletons which means that this Yod figure further stands out in her chart. As Karen Hamaker Zondag describes them in her book on the Yods, they can show generational family problems that an individual must deal with. All 3 of these aspects point to someone who has a strong need for independence. It's very odd that she was planning on getting tied into a marriage at this point in her life.

Another disturbing aspect was transiting Pluto was conjunct Le's natal Neptune. Pluto is at 2 Scorpio in her natal chart sextile Neptune at 2 Capricorn. Pluto right now is at 1 Capricorn right on her natal Neptune. That can generally be a difficult transit. There is just too much strange, unconscious information coming into a person with regards to the universe. Neptune and Pluto working together can often bring about a crisis of a spiritual nature. Both planets can cause a person to become extra paranoid, go on drugs, etc. As both planets are very psychic, Le may also have had a premonition that something would happen to her.

With a Jupiter in Aquarius Return it's very interesting that her death happened on a college campus as Jupiter rules Higher Learning. Aquarius co-rules technology and the sciences.

She may have discovered some awful truth (Jupiter in Aquarius Return) regarding her College Professor (Jupiter, I heard that a Professor is being questioned in the case already). Either way it looks like Saturn-Neptune and Pluto were conflicting in some game against Mars-Uranus-Jupiter in Le's chart.

Le could possibly have had a Grand Square between Mercury, Pluto, Moon and Lilith. This shows some challenges to overcome concerning Heart and Mind and Home and Power plays.

As regards the Marriage plans, I've already said that this looks like a weird time to be getting married. 7th House rules marriage and without a natal chart I can't say anything about that. Le's natal Venus is at 28 Taurus and has progressed to 27 Gemini. Gemini is a duplicitous sign.

The Sun has been passing over Saturn which is opposing Uranus. Again it would be interesting to see if Le had these degrees of Virgo/Pisces prominent on angles in her natal chart. The Saturn-Uranus aspect is very strongly aspected. The transit of Saturn-Uranus is aspecting her natal and Solar Arc Uranus very strongly. In her natal chart, Venus widely opposes Saturn in Scorpio. This has arced by progression (solar arcs) so that SA Saturn is exactly conjunct natal Uranus in Sagittarius, thus mirroring the opposition of these two in the current transits.

The current transit of Sun-Saturn in Virgo opposing Uranus in Pisces is actually squaring natal Uranus-SA Saturn opposing SA Venus!

Sorry I can't describe all that techno mumbo jumbo better. I also can't interpret it very well. Virgo-Pisces is definitely related to health issues. Saturn-Uranus is often related to transitional, hybrid types of solutions to problems. There seems to be some intense conflict going on in Le's chart regarding Traditions and Innovations. Hybrid lifestyles. Speaking out against authority. Throwing out the old to bring in the new. Don't know if any of this could possibly be related to her murder but it looks like a strong influence for Le at this time.

I know I'm supposed to look at SA Venus in Gemini and just be satisfied that she was having an affair with her professor and had just cut it off right before her marriage. But it seems that there was something involving something bigger here.

At any rate, it's interesting to watch the transit chart for the last time that Le was seen walking into the laboratory. At 10:00 am on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 28 Libra was rising. Libra is ruled by Venus which indicates Women, Love affairs. Mars (Aggression, Men) was in Cancer up in the 9th House (College, College Professors). Mars is squaring Mercury Rx in H11 (Message?). This square is involved in a Thor's Hammer configuration (crossroads to act) with Chiron and Neptune in Aquarius down in the 4th House.

Of course, with Libra in her last degrees at that point, Scorpio soon rises (around 10:17 am). This means that Pluto (murder) now rules the chart. Pluto is on a strong degree right now for manifesting crap (1 Capricorn) and at this time during the day it is in the 2d house opposing the 8th House of murder, which it rules.

During this time the Nodal Axis is crossing the IC/MC axis with Lilith conjunct the North Node to the degree. Between 10:30 and 11:00am Venus is crossing the Leo Midheaven and the Moon is crossing the Descendant. It would certainly seem that marriage and family had something to do with this event but in a weird way.

Donald Rumsfeld on Your Dance Card

This is another blog that's based on an interview I heard on NPR a few weeks ago. Can't remember the guy's name or his book, or even who interviewed him, it would have been between 11am and noon because that's usually when I'm in my car driving. ((((sorry))))) But, at any rate, the interview was about Donald Rumsfeld and how Donald Rumsfeld has gone through wild swings in popularity even within his own party and chums. He's certainly been on a decline in this area of life what with having been wildly misinformed about things like WMDs in Iraq and Torture in the prisons. Things just didn't go as planned for Don. The whole war just shouldn't have happened. Of course, the real Dick behind this mistake was the Big Dick, but I won't go there. I just wanted to see in this blog entry why Rumsfeld's popularity goes through roller coaster rides as indicated in his chart. For learning purposes. He does seem to have shown a bit of "oopsey" for how things careened out of control which is more than any of us can say for Cheney.

Donald Rumsfeld

So, Pluto was passing over Rumsfeld's Ascendant as his popularity waned. That indicates a big crisis related to how he looks to others. But, according to the NPR interview this is a repeat performance through Rumsfeld's life.

So, with Sagittarius on the Ascendant we can see the Jupiter influence. Jupiter does things in a big way. It also tends to be very opinionated and that can distance people who don't agree with you.

Then we look at Rumsfeld's Sun in Cancer. That's emotional and reactive. Strong personal need for protection which will sometimes focus outward into the world around. And the Moon which rules Cancer rules the Public sentiment as well. Rumsfeld's Sun is located in his 7th House and is conjunct Pluto in that house. His Ego expression is strongly connected with the impressions of others which may bring about crises (through Pluto).

The Midheaven shows how others see you. It rules your reputation. This is certainly something that would affect popularity. Rumsfeld has a Libra Midheaven, great for Diplomacy and Government dealings. But, Uranus, planet of shock and sudden changes is opposing his MC from the sign of Aries. Right there would be enough to knock anyone around a bit with regards to these aspects of life. But, the Ruler of Rumsfeld's Midheaven is Venus, another planet tied to popularity which is prominently placed and heavily affliced in his chart.

Venus rules Popularity, though, maybe along with Uranus. And I was really curious to see if there were some kind of Retrograde Action going down with Rumsfeld's chart. There is. Rumsfeld's natal Venus is at 2 Cancer Retrograde in his natal chart. This is close to an Aries Point showing that his popularity comes before the public. It is placed on an angle. The Rx shows that there may be complications regarding anything having to do with areas in life that Venus rules, like women, relationships, open enemies, even values if the Taurus sense is used (don't know if that applies here).

Venus is also placed in the 7th House where it is relies on the behaviors of others. This does give talents for Diplomacy and an interest in Politics.

Moving along, we see that Rumsfeld's Venus is squaring his Moon which rules Public Opinion. A square is a hard aspect and indicates a Challenge between the two. This square is emphasized in Rumsfeld's chart because these two planets are in mutual reception with each other and are even caught in a triad loop with the Sun. Sun in Cancer disposits to Moon which disposits to Venus which disposits to Moon... it goes on and on.

The key for Rumsfeld to break this cycle, I suppose, would be to follow the path of his Nodal Axis. That's the key for all of us and good luck doing it.

Rumsfeld's NN is in Pisces. As Pisces rules veils and pink clouds and all the mysteries that don't present itself clearly to us in life I sort of suspect that it rules Terrorism. So Rumsfeld was perhaps abnormally attracted to dealing with Terrorists. He was on target with regards to performing public service and working within institutions. But he would have had to do it through Virgo means. The opposite end of the Pisces pole. Paying strict attention to details, being discerning about what is real and what is not, about how the basic systems work. If it doesn't look like a WMD, if it doesn't act like a WMD, if it doesn't talk like a WMD, then ... it's not going to be a friggin WMD, no matter how evil it is to its own people. Pulling down a Statue of the Leader and televising it to the World, very Neptunian. But, the point with the Nodal Axis is not necessarily to go overboard in expressing the North Node, it's in using the natural energies of the South Node to balance out its expression. At least, that's how I prefer to look at it.

Last Week: Farrah, Ed and Michael

The Solstice this Summer preceded the New Moon by a day. This happened in first degrees of Cancer which means that Pluto was involved. The Sun-Moon conjunction was opposing Pluto this past week. This was considered a momentous week in U.S. Entertainment History because 3 major celebrities passed away. How amazing that the Planet of Fame (Pluto) on the Aries Point (Before the public) activated these deaths at this time.


I've also noticed that all 3 celebrities had major Sun-Pluto aspects in their charts. 2 of these charts included the Moon in the aspect as well. The current sky was mirroring major aspects in their natal charts.

Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett both passed away on June 25, 2009 within a few hours of each other in the morning. (Interesting that the genius who made famous a dance called the Moon Walk passed away perhaps as the result of a New Moon in Cancer).

Ed McMahon passed away on June 23, 2009 shortly after midnight. All 3 died in Los Angeles, CA and McMahon and Jackson died at the same hospital.

Michael Jackson had a Sun-Pluto conjunction in Virgo at 6 degrees which opposed his Moon.

Farrah Fawcett had natal Sun at 14 Aquarius opposing Pluto that also involved an opposition of Mars and Saturn. Her 8th House Sun was also involved in a huge Kite Pattern with Pluto, Uranus and Neptune. Pretty amazing chart.

Ed McMahon had a Water Grand Trine of Sun at 16 Pisces and Pluto with his Moon.

One can see that transiting Saturn was also involved in two of the charts as it was in conjunction with Jackson's Sun and opposing McMahon's Sun.

So, here we had Sun-Pluto people passing away during an opposition of Sun and Pluto.

Pluto, of course, rules the House of Death. This is generally not interpreted as literal death, although it can obviously. All three of these people died while their lives were in great distress, a very Plutonian hallmark. Both McMahon and Jackson had major financial debt (Pluto's realm). Fawcett's son is currently in jail for problems related to his drug addiction. She did pass from a cancer which is ruled by Pluto (Anal Cancer).

Along with great problems, Pluto rules many great attributes. Pluto also rules great Fame. In conjunction with the Sun which rules the Limelight its powers are heightened. One can see an interesting conflict here, though, in how these two powers work. In many lives this won't make a difference, but these people were celebrities, the thing which both rulers crave the most in life probably.

One can also see the struggle between the Sun and Pluto described in their lives. Both Sun and Pluto want to be prominent but they want it completely opposite ways. The Sun wants to be out shining under the spotlight and Pluto wants to be in the background in the shadows. Michael Jackson seemed to have shown this struggle most prominently as he encouraged his fans into almost psychotic fevers with his eccentric behaviors and yet had been unable to manage his reaction to all that attention and the power struggles with the parasitism. Ed McMahon played Johnny Carson's sidekick. He was probably most comfortable in that job. That works with his Grand Trine. The Grand Trine might also show that he let his finances get out of control, he was just so used to sitting back and letting things happen for him.

Farrah Fawcett showed great Plutonian depth and grit. She took herself off the bimbo poster girl circuit by leaving the series Charlies' Angels in order to portray more intense dramatic roles, often related to crime (very Plutonian). Younger people won't have a clue how popular she was. In college my roommate and I dutifully woke up early and wrapped our hair in curling irons in imitation of Fawcett's famous blown away locks.

Pluto also rules anything that is deep under the ground and it also rules Research. The United States broke ground last week on a new Science lab which is hailed at the deepest underground laboratory in the World. Very Plutonian. The Lab is being built out of an old Gold Mine (Sun) in or near Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Groundbreaking was on June 22, 2009. Once again, one can see that Death isn't the only interpretation for Pluto. In interpretations, though, one can't mention this as Death is a taboo topic in our culture. Taboo = Pluto, weirdo planet, for sure, no wonder the astronomers want to demote it.

I suppose the extra Saturn transit added an extra stress. The idea that when it's your time, it's your time (Saturn keyword) along with Saturn's usual restriction and exhaustion tendencies. And there are probably a bunch of other transits, progressions, etc. I know there are probably multiple brilliant interpretations out there right now. I just wanted to add this one in case no one else has.

Suburban Sprawl

Yet another book jumped off the shelf at me the other day as I was walking past the stacks in the library. Funny how that happens and also how it always seems to turn into astroblab.

by Andres Duany, Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk, and Jeff Speck

When thinking about the American Dream it's always great to think about the Ticky Tacky Houses that rise up out that dream. Huge stucco neighborhoods that people drive in and out of like Fischer Price toys. The book mentioned above talks about the beginnings of Urban Sprawl and it's causes. Surprisingly Sprawl's beginnings track back to very good and well-intentioned bits of legislation. By coincidence these bits of legislation which were trying to guarantee Quality of Life are interesting in light of the current Credit Crunch and Mortgage Crisis. Turns out that the Federal Reserve Bank Sun isn't the only one who is going through a major Pluto transit right now.

Legislation is great because it gives Astrology fanatics neat, clean little dates to leap all fairy brain off of. The first bill or law or act listed in the book has its roots in the Great Depression and is the Federal Home Loan Act (FHA) of 1934. The second is related to the VA Loan Program that was begun in 1944 in order to help Servicemen coming home from World War II.

The Astrology is interesting here. The Legislation for both of these Aid Programs was signed while the Sun was in the early degrees of Cancer. This is great for anything having to do with making sure everyone has his own home. What's a drag is that Pluto is now opposing the Sun for these programs. These bills have basically been reduced down to Mortgage and Loan programs, Lending Programs, Credit Programs. But the people for whom they were made are mostly long gone and the new guard could only use them for reckless consumption. Sun in Cancer might be one of the signs associated with that kind of thing, gee, as a Cancer Sun trine Jupiter how would I know about reckless consumption?

Roman Overconsumption aside, these Mortgage Programs are going through the same Plutonian Crisis that the Federal Reserve is going through and at the same time. Pluto's doing its pruning and cleaning out of old dead wood. Sometimes throwing out the Baby with the Bath Water maybe, but sometimes that Cancer Baby is just so damn huge...

Perhaps someone should suggest to the Legal Law Politician Writers to stagger when they put these things into effect so there isn't so much Outer Planet wipe-out all at the same time. The Federal Reserve, the FHA and the VA are all doing wipe out at the same time. Funny how predominently Cardinal Signy these all are. Pluto's going to be mean to them, boy o boy.

Perhaps we could reincorporate the Federal Reserve Bank during a Taurus Sun and Wall St., what's left of it, could have a Scorpio Sun. And, of course, we don't want to do it right now while Saturn-Uranus and Pluto are playing push me pull you with each other. If we re-write Housing Bills, well, with Uranus and Neptune doing the mutual reception thing all we can really rely on right now are UFOs anyway, so forget about it.

Hopefully I'll get back to talking about Urban Sprawl because that's much more interesting story telling. Also, I had an architect Father who was honestly trying to figure styles of urban planning that would bring quality of life and aesthetics to the American Dream. He's not mentioned in the book so I know the authors have missed a bigger picture. Of course, he died young while being sued because all California homes during his time were built to last only 20 years and lower income building materials will pretty much guarantee their failure. It's a lot like the crap you buy at Ikea and Target. Poverty is a tricky thing, lower income is maybe even trickier because people are still trying.

The FHA Loans were first started as a solution to the Great Depression and the VA Loans were created to help servicemen coming back from World War II.

The Sun in this chart may be unaspected, depends what time it was signed. Either way, Pluto's going to be opposing this Sun for a few years so now would be a great time to figure out a new way to prune and re-do how we give out money to lower income people. I suppose we could just go back to requiring a down payment and checking income but that might be too simple. We could also encourage designers to work with the land and the environment and the people's needs rather than against all these. And now that we've paid the psychologists so damn much money to tell us how miserable the poor are we could perhaps turn that money over to hiring real designers, not drones, to build the houses. After looking very quickly I noticed that Solar Arc Uranus was passing over the Sun of this legislation about 7 years ago. That would be around 2002. We might have to provide Health care and Higher Education to all (even the white kids who are U.S. born, imagine that) in order to create equality in the country. We might have to return to studying humanities and the arts in order to turn the kids into creative thinkers. Cougar Barbie

American Doll Sensation of My Childhood, Barbie, is 50 years old. I missed her Birthday by about a week but once you're this old you really don't give a shyte if anybody really remembers. At this age you're just an old Cougar. Those 60s stretch pants and tiger stripes just really don't cut it after a certain age. Or do they? Birthday Cake? "I'm not blowing that thing out it will show all my wrinkles." Well, I suppose that Barbie's spent wads on Botox at this point and doesn't give these matters a second thought. Sorry, Barbie, the big let down about Age 50 is that you gotta go through your Chiron Return. "Too Soon We Get Old; Too Late We Get Wise." That's Chiron's motto. My Grandmother used to say it all the time.

Barbie, for those who either don't know because they weren't born yet or for those who loved and adored their Barbies (like me) and can't remember because Alzheimer's is no longer considered "Early Onset" -- Barbie is a Doll. When any Toy turns 50 it is officially considered an Antique. So Barbie, Sorry Doll, you are a Golden Oldie.

But pay that no mind. Shirley Temple Dolls were considered a "Doll" Sensation as well back when my Mother was growing up and I remember watching the real Shirley Temple laugh about how she had just turned 50 and was considered an Antique. She was absolutely adored by Antique Dealers by that point and was also a well-respected Politician.

So, Barbie was officially born on Mar. 9, 1959 for Mattel Corp.

On her last Birthday she was not only going through her Solar Return, but was also going through a Venus Return at 16 Aries and a Chiron Return which was joined by transiting Neptune and Mars. That's not all, pretty much all of the outer planets were aspecting something or other in Barbie's chart. I'm haven't been seen the Walgreen's shelves bulging with Age 50 Barbies the same way that Age 40 Barbies were marketed. Guess it means a different thing to be turning 50 during a major economic downturn. With Pluto in Capricorn I have actually heard that thin lips are now considered sexy. Hmm, maybe that was a delusion. If that's so, Barbie's got to undo those Collagen lips. When Pluto's on your natal Saturn, there's probably more than that one has to undo, but best not to wreck the festivities with that irrelevant silliness.

So Barbie is a Double Pisces which means that she was let loose on the American Public during a Pisces New Moon. Pisces rules Glamour and Barbie was the first curvy, modern adult doll that young American girls had to play with. By fun coincidence her most inspired body part is considered the Feet. Well, in addition to those boobs. (The boobs probably come from the original German Doll that Barbie was cloned/stolen from). Explains those tiny curvy high-heel feet that inspired 3 generations of Birkenstock wearers among us. Barbie was Modern and yet her feet were perpetually bound to fit only high heels that suggest an Imperialistic Chinese upbringing.

But, I hate to say, Barbie wasn't an American Original. She was a Copy Cat based curvy arch to curvy arch on a German Doll named Lilli by the Mattel Toy Company Owner's wife, Ruth Handler. I seem to remember that she was created in some sort of uber new plastic which was meant to last and last and last. As kids we used to test the durability of the plastic in all kinds of sadistic ways which I'm sure would be considered anti-social by the psychologists these days.

So Ruth Handler was Mr. Mattel's wife, traveling through German toy stores looking for ideas to borrow I guess for her husband's company. She found the Bild Lilli doll which was originally created in 1955 and based on a German Cartoon written by Reinhard Beuthien which was first published in June 24, 1952. Beuthien was told to fill a spot for an empty cartoon spot in a paper. He made the original cartoon about a big baby. Pretty funny considering there was a New Moon in Cancer, sign of the Baby, on the day of Lilli's publication. There were also 3 other planets in Cancer that day. The Sun was conjunct Venus and Mercury was conjunct Uranus in Cancer.

As the Wikipedia article states, Beuthien was told to change the character because it disgusted his editor. Beuthien kept the Big Baby Head, the big round eyes, the pouty lips and the bulbous forehead and stuck a really sexy, modern woman's body on it. Big boobs, long legs and those creepy little feet. But, the German Barbie had lots of personality. She was a double Cancer like Leona Helmsly and Courtney Love, after all. She was a modern woman who earned her own way and was a brazen gold digger. Her wit was really raunchy. Those lucky German girls got to quote such comments as (from Wikipedia article on Lilli: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild_Lilli_doll). Anyways, one can see the Mercury-Uranus conjunction at work:

• "I could do without balding old men but my budget couldn't!"

• The cartoon always consisted of a picture of Lilli talking to girlfriends, boyfriends, her boss ("As you were angry when I was late this morning I will leave the office at five p.m. sharp!").

• to a policeman who told her that two-piece-swimsuits are banned: "Which piece do you want me to take off?"

• "Of course I'm interested in politics; no one should ignore the way some politicians dress!"

• the beauty of nature: "The sunrise is so beautiful that I always stay late at the nightclub to see it!".

Mrs. Mattel loved the doll -- she was oh so fashionable. The Mae West comments apparently didn't carry over into the Americas. Eventually Lilli was discontinued and there is talk of a law suit. No matter, Mattel cranked out the Barbies and they were an instant sensation. American Barbie had no real personality, she was simply a modern fashion statement who came with lots of accessories. Her Venus was at 17 Aries in conjunction with her South Node at 15 Libra. Her Sun was squaring Mars. And she was re-born from the Neptune in Libra/Pluto in Leo generation into the Neptune in Scorpio/Pluto in Virgo generation. One can see the loss of playfulness between the generations. Kind of interesting, though, that a post-war German doll is so much more playful than a 1960's American Doll, but pay that no mind.

Mrs. Mattel was a Scorpio which rounds out the story into a Water Sign saga but I'm busy screwing up my life and can't really wonder too much what that statement means. The story pretty much sums it up anyway.
