Christchurch Earthquakes

Christchurch, New Zealand has suffered two serious earthquakes in the past 6 months. It looks like this place, known as the "Gateway to the Antarctic," is vulnerable to the Virgo/Pisces Axis. The first earthquake, 7.0, occurred last September when the Sun was at 12 Virgo. Today's earthquake logs Sun at 3 Pisces. Christchurch's Solar Arc Sun is at 14 Virgo, SA Uranus is at 25 Virgo. I found that interesting correlation with successive Solar Arc charts and earthquakes while studying the Parkfield earthquake series back whenever that was.

Christchurch's Nodal Axis is at a major Cardinal Point at 1 Libra (NN)-Aries (SN). I personally look for strong Cardinal sign tensions in earthquakes and this Axis has been going through major outer planet t-square transit of Saturn-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto over the past year. Jupiter and Uranus have been passing together over this spot for almost a year at this point. And the Sun-Mars conjunction passing over Pluto-NN, Uranus and then Neptune-Chiron has been a pretty trigger happy set of transits.

Today's earthquake, an aftershock to September's quake, happened right in the middle of lunch hour with the Sun at 3 Pisces. This is one reason why it's done more damage. Also, it was a shallow earthquake which rattles things up more. The Christchurch cathedral has suffered major damage, which perhaps explains the strong Jupiter (Religion) and Neptune (Spiritual) transits of this earthquake.

First off, Christchurch is going through it's Neptune Return. Natal Neptune is a 2 Pisces. That's just for beginners. Pluto is in conjunction with the North Node right now so when doubled up with any other significant transit could bring some problems. And today's earthquake Pluto is exactly squaring earthquake (transiting) Jupiter. This Jupiter is conjunct Christchurch's natal Sun to the degree and is squaring natal Jupiter 12 Cancer.

Current reports say that there are about 65 dead and 100 unnaccounted for. I send my best thoughts to the suffering right now.

I wasted a bunch of time fiddling to see how the Eclipses might have contributed but my computer is set to calculate everything for New York time. There's a chance that the Sun-Moon conjunction of the July 10-11, 2010 Eclipse is conjunct the ASC of the September earthquake.

Upcoming Total Lunar Eclipse and Arsenic Eating Bacteria in Mono Lake!!!!

This is exactly what I would have expected from the Pluto conjunction to the North Node in Capricorn but never could have imagined. It's an example of how Reality is always more imaginative than anything the human mind can make up. This shows the combination of Pluto and Saturn working together. And Neptune is there. And Uranus. And the 3 upcoming Total Lunar Eclipses are there as well. Dorothy, we're never gonna make it back to Kansas!

It turns out that NASA Scientists have discovered that a living creature exists on earth which uses Arsenic as the backbone for its DNA. The Arsenic replaces what Phosphorus did, whatever that is.

Between the Eclipses in Cancer/Capricorn and the big outer planet t-square between Saturn-Uranus-Pluto and Jupiter over the Aries Points, or the spots of the wheel which represent new beginnings, the earth might be shifting to a new method of survival. What used to be poison might now start to be the beginnings of life.

The point of discovery for this is in Mono Lake, California. As I talked about in a previous post, the California environment has an interesting connection with the past. We have 2 of the oldest planets on earth. The oldest trees and the oldest shrubs. Methuselah (bristle cone pine) and Creosote (down in the desert somewhere). So, maybe this organism is actually very old and not a new thing.

Well, the Poles, they are a-shifting.

After a very quick look on the internet to find connections between Arsenic and Astrological rulerships I found the connection with Neptune. The glyph of Neptune looks like the symbol for Arsenic. http://www.symbols.com/encyclopedia/05/0510.html. Neptune right now is in exact conjunction with Chiron in the sign of Aquarius. Neptune is one of the big rulers of Poisons. Arsenic is used in a lot of pesticides and California, being strongly agricultural, is totally maxed out on the pesticides. Arsenic exists naturally in the Southwest and other spots. The discovery was made by NASA so it's also interesting that the agency related to Space Travel made the discovery.

Interesting blog called "Paradise Preoccupied" explains the NASA discovery in ways that I can't because I don't have Science knowledge. The article gets really interesting in discussing how different life forms may actually account for other realms of existence.

So, now things get really crazy.

There are 3 Total Lunar Eclipses coming up within a year of each other. The Moon rules giving Birth. Maybe ... Oh, it's so Sci Fi.

It is also conjunct the South Node which according to Komilla Sutton is its most uncomfortable placement.

Al Gore Lets a Snowball Into Hell

Is it hot in here or is that Al Gore? (just had to say it)

An Oregon Massage Therapist has said that Vice President Al Gore hired her, rented her out as it were, to come to his hotel room back in 2006. Al didn't just want a relaxing massage, some kind of special technique with an Asian name that she specializes in. Al had something else on his mind. Hmmm, what could that be? The Massage Therapist says that Al tried to buy a little love. He didn't actually try to barter, he cranked up the music, he grabbed, he pinned her on the bed. This shit always works for Austin Powers. It even works to some extent for Mickey Rourke. And I wonder how many times it has worked for Al Gore. And we don't know exactly what happened. We are innocent here. We don't know. The Massage Therapist didn't leave the room until 1:30. But, as we all know, once one has committed to an appointment, one must always live up to one's end of the bargain.

The Police were notified at some point and they brushed off an investigation. The woman says that her friends, the Birkenstock Crowd, told her to "brush it off." What's more important? Her self esteem or the icebergs? Well, of course the icebergs are more important (although anybody who drives a car apparently doesn't know this, that includes me). Besides, she wasn't raped.

Now the Police are re-opening the case. The woman has been to the rape crisis center and her work has suffered. We are going to hear now about how she's crazy, makes stuff up, once had to swipe her ATM three times through the slot before the transaction went through so even the machinery knows a loser ....

And so now we have a story about Al Gore's style of sexual expression exposed for all to read. I assume that it's close to true. Gore is an Aries and Aries can be aggressive.

When Clinton had his affairs I didn't care because I wasn't surprised. I knew he was a womanizer when I voted for him. But, Al Gore is supposed to be pure as the driven snow. Al Gore is absolutely the only reason why I stopped trying to space out during news talks about politics. I just have to keep growing up. These shockers.

Looking at the astrology for that particular evening is pretty amazing. I don't have her birth date, of course. Her name is Molly. Molly is now 54. This means that back in 2006, which is 4 years ago, she would have been going through her Chiron Return. Chiron is the teacher who couldn't heal his own wounds. So, I wonder if it's typical that one can't heal whatever happens during a Chiron return. Since I'm going through mine now I'd say that it could be.

When connected with Mars, Chiron is sometimes thought to indicate rape. And Chiron was squaring Mars that night. But, it sounds like the Massage Therapist wasn't raped. And, to be honest, it sounds like her reaction is extreme, but then again, I don't know. If you go to a guy's hotel room at the witching hour, you are sort of asking for it. And often this makes rape accusations difficult to understand. It's like how when I was in my 20s and I had friends who ran home through dark alleys in the bad side of town. They all got raped or attacked. Doesn't matter. I went to a party at a better side of town and still got raped. The Neptune in Scorpio generation. I guess that's what we were all about.

And I don't want to think about this except that the astrology is very educational for future Massage Therapists who want to avoid getting attacked when they go to rich guy's hotel rooms in the middle of the night. I don't know what it means for actual Call Girl/Prostitutes which is another story altogether, but it would be nice if somebody thought about their welfare every once in a while. Some nights you can get away with this stuff. And some nights you can't. This particular night was meant for howling, that's for sure. Five planets were in Scorpio and now we've know everything we ever wanted to know about Al Gore's gonads.

So the Scorpio planets. Right at the beginning of Scorpio the Sun, Venus and Mars were together at 2 degrees. That's early in the sign. They had just passed over from Libra. One minute Venus is ruling that conjunction. Next minute Mars is in charge. We're not playing Libra peek-a-boo games anymore.

At the end of Scorpio there was a conjunction of Mercury to Jupiter. Call in the Cops. Call in the Lawyers: Sex for Sale. Mercury and Jupiter rule communications and Scorpio keeps things secret. That's a quandary. Either way, keep the Kundalini under wraps because if that stuff blows right now it's gonna look ugly. So now we all have to ponder "When you say No, do you really mean it?" Scorpio rules revenge. It also rules other people's money. It also rules very deep hurts. And Plutonians say that it leads to healing but the rest of us pretty much don't. (It just leads to Sagittarius which rules Lawyers and trips to Church).

I'm pretty disappointed in Al Gore. Thing is, you don't hire a licensed Massage Therapist for anything but Massage Therapy. I guess Al was afraid of getting the clap from a real hooker maybe? Maybe he was too embarrassed to rent one. Maybe, Capricorn Moon that he is, he was being cheap and just wanted to save a few bucks. What did Eliot Spitzer pay for his big date? $4,000? This licensed massage therapist, STD free, I think received $300 cash. They don't even have sales tax in Oregon. What a deal. Capricorn Moons come up pretty high in the statistics in relation to alcohol abuse so one wonders...

And the Massage Therapist? Well, my dilemma is this. It depends how you look at her. Is she considered a woman in this case? Or is she considered a Professional Massage Therapist? Because as a woman I defend her situation 100 percent, granted I don't have a clue what actually went on. But, I was date raped by an Aries guy so from a subjective point of view (which is all I can give), I feel very bad for her. Yes, friends side with the accused. It's easier. Either way they don't defend you. That's the bad side of hanging out with pacifists. They like to "do" by talking about things and then it turns out they can't even listen. And the married women, you'll be wishing it would happen to them by the time this is over. In the end Molly probably won't be going to anymore midnight rendezvous at hotel rooms. And she shouldn't have been doing that anyway. Let the Hookers do it. Better yet, go give the Hookers a massage. No one deserves to be treated well than they do.

So then there's the question of what can a Massage Therapist expect out in the field? What I mean here is that Massage Therapists are trained to work with the human body. The human body is here first and foremost to procreate. Plus it's Al Gore, we're talking about. He's rich. He's powerful. He couldn't have done the things he's done without his mojo. Plus, physically, he's super stiff and just one warm touch of a finger is probably going to unleash 50,000 past lifetimes of kundalini (assuming that's how Kundalini works). In addition, the guy got royally screwed in his career. There's going to be some major pent up rage going on in there and rage comes from the same place that sexuality does. It also sounds like Al needs to hang up his beer bottles for a stretch at any rate.

The police report alleges that the incident took place at a Hotel Room in Portland, Oregon starting at 11:00 pm on Oct. 24, 2006. The Massage Therapist was supposed to go to the room at 10:30 but Gore delayed the appointment. Al, big mistake. The 10:30 would have set those Scorpio planets off the angles, even in the fun house (H5). Instead you let her in when everything was entering the 4th House. Lightning Strikes 6-Story Jesus

With Uranus heavily afflicted at 1 degree Aries, the birthing point of the Astrological Wheel, I guess we all suspect that there are many among us who will be unexpectedly struck down. Lightning, Uranus' sword, would be a major reason. Anything flammable is going to be extra vulnerable.

Well, in Monroe, Ohio not even Jesus is immune. Last night a 6 story high statue of Our Lord was struck by Lightening and burnt to the ground. With Uranus conjunct Jupiter, planet that rules Churches, I suppose this makes sense. The 62-foot tall statue was built in 2004 by a local church to act as a Beacon of Hope. Providing Hope is Uranus' spiritual style of leadership.

Guess what sign was rising at the time of the strike? Yep, 1 Aquarius. That puts a flammable Venus at 1 Leo right on the Descendant conjunct the Moon in Cancer. In mythology, Venus was born of the foam in the Sea (Cancer).

Guess why Jesus burned?

Because he was made out of Styrofoam!

I ought to quit here but this just keeps getting better. Chart ruler Uranus is in conjunction to Jupiter in the 2d House of Possessions opposing Saturn in the 8th House of other people's possessions and squaring apex Sun in the 5th House. That's a t-square in the Resource Houses that finds its resolve in the empty leg which is the 11th House of Hopes and Wishes.

The Statue was called the "Touchdown Jesus" because his arms were posed the same as a Football Referee who's calling a goal. Jupiter also rules Sports Enthusiasts. In ancient Greek mythology it's actually Zeus who strikes with Thunder Bolts, I think. Maybe Uranus played Umpire. I don't know. (wrong sport?)

World's First Synthetic Cell

The Genome guy, J.Craig Venter has succeeded now in creating the world's first manmade DNA (or, at least that's how I'm trying to understand it). What a great announcement for Science to make while there is a conjunction of Jupiter to Uranus in Pisces. This will hopefully lead to new forms of fuel, ways to clean polluted water, and even faster vaccines.

There's mention in the article that there is concern over how this new Frankenstein creation could be used for destructive purposes. The astrology shows that there is a need to feel concern over this. The Jupiter-Uranus conjunction is squaring Pluto and opposing Saturn. The Government (Saturn) is concerned about how much regulation is needed to keep this knowledge out of the hands of idiots. With Saturn and Pluto squaring each other this might be a legitimate concern.

When Saturn and Pluto work together they can show the kind of ruthless energy that is needed to fight pollution. But they can show plain old ruthlessness and a genuine need for strong guidance in the ethics department. Come to think of it I think that Venter has a Saturn-Pluto square in his natal chart.

Kind of a tough day for thinking about ethical issues. The announcement was made on the same day that Wall St. made its biggest crash of the year and a Paris Art Museum suffered one one of the biggest art heists of all time. The Moon was in conjunction with Mars (volatility) and opposing Neptune. And Venus was opposing Pluto (more volatility).

The Aries Point action is unbelievably interesting for bringing news out into the world about giving birth from out of nothing. Venus was at 1 Cancer yesterday. Think of the great Botticelli painting of Venus born out of nothing but foam. This was squaring Uranus 30 Pisces. That's the actual birth degree of the Astrological Wheel. Uranus rules human enlightenment and innovation.

Hmmm, I bet Venter would be a really great psychic if he weren't busy with all the rest of this stuff.

Poles Are Shifting

Did I write this anywhere on this blog? I know that I told the hair stylist that the poles were going to shift this year because of the Cardinal Sign stuff, the big t-square and the Eclipses. The Aries Points are the Poles of the Astrological Wheel after all.

Hair Stylist charged me extra for the hair cut. Don't blame her. I was talking crazy stuff. California pressures: Gotta keep it positive, upbeat, and mellow.

And now the Scientists say that the Chile earthquake caused that poles to shift 3". Crazy stuff. Wonder if this is caused by the big icebergs that are breaking off down in Antarctica. Those guys look pretty close together on the map.

Well, the Spring Equinox is coming up... The real Rodeo is supposed to be after the Summer Solstice though.

Extraordinary Baby Week

So, Cardinal Signs represent new beginnings and maybe we should be expecting a whole lot of interesting new developments over the next couple of years as Pluto and then Uranus are on these points. The Solstice and Equinox points (beginnings of Seasons) may be more vital in Astrological interpretation than usual even.

The birth of a baby would certainly be a new beginning. The Autumn Equinox at Sun at 1 Libra squaring Pluto at 1 Capricorn has certainly brought news about exceptional situations regarding the births of babies this week. Neither of those signs is connected with the births of babies. However, Mars' transit through Cancer which might also be contributing. Unusual and Weird come under the rulership of Uranus which is just finishing up its final opposition to Saturn in Virgo (medical procedures). Both births that I'm talking about here were delivered via caesarian section. Age of the Mothers in both cases, 40 and 41 seems to show problems related to older women having children. This could become an issue with Pluto's presence in Capricorn, the sign of old age.

First story is of a big baby boy was born in Northern Sumatra who was born weighing more than 19 pounds due to his mother's diabetic condition during pregnancy. He has since been given the middle name of "Akbar" which means "big" in Sumatran. "Akbar" was more than 2 feet tall and his cry is said to sound like a lion's roar. This boy is the biggest baby ever born in his country. This is the 4th pregancy for the mother, all the previous births were normal.

The Sun and Mercury Rx were both in conjunction with Saturn in Virgo. They are also squaring Pluto. Virgo is related to health conditions. The Sun related to Saturn and Pluto can show a difficulty with elimination within the vitality. Saturn and Pluto are also related to extreme proportions in size and scale in the arts, so maybe they can also relate literally to the human body. And a major factor here is Saturn's opposition to Uranus in Pisces.

For a baby born of a very large size it would be really cool to see if the planets that rules large things, which have been in conjunction with each other, were passing over the Ascendant. Jupiter is involved in anything big (expansion) as is Neptune (no boundaries). These two are in conjunction with each other and with Chiron. This would have been passing over the Ascendant around 4 pm Sumatran time. Sure would be interested to know what time "Akbar" was born to see if it corresponds with this passage. The Ascendant, I believe, corresponds with conditions related to an individual's birth.

World's largest baby on record weighed 23 pounds and was born Jan. 19, 1879 to the World's Tallest couple in Seville, Ohio, U.S.

This baby boy passed away 11 hours after birth. Interesting the correspondences with current astrology. Saturn and Uranus were in the opposite signs where they are now but not opposing each other. There was very close to both a Nodal Return (cusp of Capricorn-Aquarius) and a Jupiter Return in Aquarius. Not only that but Chiron was conjunct Neptune (different sign, Taurus then, Aquarius now).

Second strange story: A Fertility Clinic in an unknown midwest town planted the embryo of a Detroit, Michigan couple into the womb of an Ohio woman and discovered their mistake 10 days later.

This happened back in February so perhaps the Solar Eclipse on Jan. 26 and the Lunar Eclipse on Feb. 9 can somehow account for this error.

In Astrological shorthand, Mars and Uranus together represent Accidents and Uranus and Pluto together represent mistakes.

Back in February, the Sun's position in Aquarius would have disposited to Uranus. And Uranus was in opposition to Saturn which would have been exact to the degree on Feb. 5, 2009.

Uranus does things differently. Either way, the Ohio woman brought the baby to term as a surrogate and has handed it over to the Michigan couple with no strings attached. Such a heartful act is also very Uranian, only happens if one can distance one's self mentally from the inner needs. There are a few other instances listed on the Internet of instances when this has occurred and people have made different choices about how to handle the situation.

Uranus also describes the Shock involved around the pregnancy and also the high tech and manmade nature of the artificial insemination procedure. Saturn in Virgo perhaps could indicate problems through medical procedures. (I just went to a doctor yesterday and my records were full of errors so I wonder if this is pretty widespread right now.)

The Saturn Uranus opposition happens every 45+ years. It will make 5 passes of exact opposition during the current opposition cycle.

• The 3d one happened Sept. 15, 2010. (Amazing how the oppositions correspond by Month to the events related to this accidental pregnancy.

An interesting CNN story describes how the couple heard about the mistake. In February, the husband was called around 4pm. At that time either Cancer or Leo would have been rising and the 7th house was loaded. These are the signs related to childbearing and child rearing. The Nodal Axis (destiny) was passing over the 1st/7th Houses with the North Node in the 7th. It would have remained at this spot at 4pm during the entire month of February.

For most of February the North Node was accompanied by Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Neptune. How's that for describing a phone call (Mercury) regarding a Mistaken (Mars in Aquarius) artificial insemination (Uranus?) that will lead to a feeling of martyrdom (Neptune) that will lead to the birth of a baby boy (Mars, Jupiter). The emotional pain and shock that the couple suffered is described in the CNN story quoted below. Because of her age, Carolyn Savage will not be able to conceive another child and is going to have to use a surrogate herself.

In a tragic mix-up, the Savages say the fertility clinic where Carolyn underwent in vitro fertilization implanted another couple's embryos into Carolyn's uterus.

In essence, she had become an unwitting surrogate for another family.

After receiving the news, Sean hung up the phone and drove straight home to tell his wife in person.

"He walked in and was as white as a sheet," Carolyn said. "He told me, and I think he repeated himself two or three times, and I kept saying 'You're joking.' Incredulity turned to shock, and when that shock melted, so did the couple's hope for having another child of their own. At the time, Carolyn was 39 and her chances of having a child naturally after this one were waning.

"That was the beginning of a very treacherous and emotional journey for us," said Sean.

"I don't think I've ever cried so much in my life," said Carolyn. "It was such a nightmare and, in a way, I felt violated."

Last Week: Farrah, Ed and Michael

The Solstice this Summer preceded the New Moon by a day. This happened in first degrees of Cancer which means that Pluto was involved. The Sun-Moon conjunction was opposing Pluto this past week. This was considered a momentous week in U.S. Entertainment History because 3 major celebrities passed away. How amazing that the Planet of Fame (Pluto) on the Aries Point (Before the public) activated these deaths at this time.


I've also noticed that all 3 celebrities had major Sun-Pluto aspects in their charts. 2 of these charts included the Moon in the aspect as well. The current sky was mirroring major aspects in their natal charts.

Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett both passed away on June 25, 2009 within a few hours of each other in the morning. (Interesting that the genius who made famous a dance called the Moon Walk passed away perhaps as the result of a New Moon in Cancer).

Ed McMahon passed away on June 23, 2009 shortly after midnight. All 3 died in Los Angeles, CA and McMahon and Jackson died at the same hospital.

Michael Jackson had a Sun-Pluto conjunction in Virgo at 6 degrees which opposed his Moon.

Farrah Fawcett had natal Sun at 14 Aquarius opposing Pluto that also involved an opposition of Mars and Saturn. Her 8th House Sun was also involved in a huge Kite Pattern with Pluto, Uranus and Neptune. Pretty amazing chart.

Ed McMahon had a Water Grand Trine of Sun at 16 Pisces and Pluto with his Moon.

One can see that transiting Saturn was also involved in two of the charts as it was in conjunction with Jackson's Sun and opposing McMahon's Sun.

So, here we had Sun-Pluto people passing away during an opposition of Sun and Pluto.

Pluto, of course, rules the House of Death. This is generally not interpreted as literal death, although it can obviously. All three of these people died while their lives were in great distress, a very Plutonian hallmark. Both McMahon and Jackson had major financial debt (Pluto's realm). Fawcett's son is currently in jail for problems related to his drug addiction. She did pass from a cancer which is ruled by Pluto (Anal Cancer).

Along with great problems, Pluto rules many great attributes. Pluto also rules great Fame. In conjunction with the Sun which rules the Limelight its powers are heightened. One can see an interesting conflict here, though, in how these two powers work. In many lives this won't make a difference, but these people were celebrities, the thing which both rulers crave the most in life probably.

One can also see the struggle between the Sun and Pluto described in their lives. Both Sun and Pluto want to be prominent but they want it completely opposite ways. The Sun wants to be out shining under the spotlight and Pluto wants to be in the background in the shadows. Michael Jackson seemed to have shown this struggle most prominently as he encouraged his fans into almost psychotic fevers with his eccentric behaviors and yet had been unable to manage his reaction to all that attention and the power struggles with the parasitism. Ed McMahon played Johnny Carson's sidekick. He was probably most comfortable in that job. That works with his Grand Trine. The Grand Trine might also show that he let his finances get out of control, he was just so used to sitting back and letting things happen for him.

Farrah Fawcett showed great Plutonian depth and grit. She took herself off the bimbo poster girl circuit by leaving the series Charlies' Angels in order to portray more intense dramatic roles, often related to crime (very Plutonian). Younger people won't have a clue how popular she was. In college my roommate and I dutifully woke up early and wrapped our hair in curling irons in imitation of Fawcett's famous blown away locks.

Pluto also rules anything that is deep under the ground and it also rules Research. The United States broke ground last week on a new Science lab which is hailed at the deepest underground laboratory in the World. Very Plutonian. The Lab is being built out of an old Gold Mine (Sun) in or near Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Groundbreaking was on June 22, 2009. Once again, one can see that Death isn't the only interpretation for Pluto. In interpretations, though, one can't mention this as Death is a taboo topic in our culture. Taboo = Pluto, weirdo planet, for sure, no wonder the astronomers want to demote it.

I suppose the extra Saturn transit added an extra stress. The idea that when it's your time, it's your time (Saturn keyword) along with Saturn's usual restriction and exhaustion tendencies. And there are probably a bunch of other transits, progressions, etc. I know there are probably multiple brilliant interpretations out there right now. I just wanted to add this one in case no one else has.
