Guy Fawkes and His BFF Tim Geithner (that's a joke)

This won't be a long post. (Oops)

I'm trying to write a post about how nobody ever gives Tim Geithner any credit. I don't hold much against him because the astrology right now pretty much says we're in a long term phase of financial depression that repeats the similar problems of the Long Depression that occurred at the end of the 19th century. That one lasted 20 years. I don't expect things to get better real fast this time, but I'm such a pessimist my opinions can be said to err on the down side. In other words, what do I know?

It's amazing to me that Geithner has managed to keep the stock market up at the high levels as it is. It hasn't really gone beyond a certain point, but it keeps heaving up and down, kind of like it's on a ventilator in a chemically induced coma. Just enough to let the 401ks juggle things around a bit.

Clearly Geithner's staging this stuff (strong Leo influence in his chart). It's a magic trick and an illusion.

But, right now, because no one ever gives Tim Geithner enough credit, everyone is giving Guy Fawkes a bunch of credit. Plus, the recession/depression has gone on too long. And some eco-marketing firm up in Canada had the brains to inject our instincts for mobbing into generally more constructive avenues. And there's some illusion in this as well. Magic Federal Reserve Chairman Boyfriend Ben Bernanke said he doesn't really blame them, the Occupy Wall St people. Some of them are sort of dumb and are burning small businesses down.

Bernanke loves a committee. Somehow I get the feeling that Tim Geithner doesn't. That's why Ben Bernanke is so loveable and why I keep forgetting to look at Geithner's chart maybe? Uranus loves a committee. Oh well, I won't go there.

I couldn't really figure out why the Guy Fawkes stuff is so popular right now, the Occupy Wall Street movement has only questions and no answers,

Then a gang stalker walked by me today (they stare extra long with a taunting we've got you bitch, you should see what I've just done to your car and your credit score and everyone you know). This guy had a Guy Fawkes beard, like he had dressed up like all the rest of the Guy Fawkes fans on November 5, and he was clearly pissed off with me for being white. Then it hit me. Sort of. It's the Catholics. The Catholics are protesting.

Geithner has a conjunction of Sun-Mercury-Uranus to the NN in Leo which explains the big forehead and mass of hair. He might also be grouchy because his thinking is erratic and he expresses himself verbally in ways that sometimes shock people. This stellium is unaspected except for an inconjunct to a Jupiter-Saturn conjunction (both retrograde) in Capricorn. That's lots of potent energy that doesn't flow easily. It helps that both signatures show high intelligence of some sort so Geithner is not going to be as at odds blending these energies as some of us might be.

Inconjuncts are minor aspects and their connection is very odd. The keyword for inconjuncts is "Adjustment." The signs that are connected don't share similarities which means they are difficult to express together. Both signs, Leo and Capricorn do rule talent for leadership. Geithner seems to be trying to fix the problem, but the problem may be outdated (Jupiter-Saturn in Capricorn Rx). At any rate, that Jupiter-Saturn thing shows that Geithner was born during a year which socially represents the top of the heap. There's a sense that we are falling backwards or down instead of upwards towards a common goal. Well, the Guy Fawkes people want to revel against the system too.

Sun-Mercury-Uranus-NN in Leo shows a lot of intuitive brains. It wouldn't be enough to hack Geithner's computers, you'd have to also hack his brain. And you'd have to be really really fast. The Leo and Capricorn shows that perhaps he doesn't like to work with others. It's partly that lack of flow thing I mentioned earlier. It's partly that he's got a Hero complex. It's partly other stuff which I'll continue to babble about.

People like people who flow. They make you feel like you're not stuck anywhere. Guy Fawkes had flow. At least his astro chart did. He had one and possibly two Grand Trines in his chart. AT execution time he jumped off the stage before he was hung in order to avoid the final humiliation.

I remember reading that Geithner didn't hire staff for a long time after taking his job as whatever his title is. This would be a very Leo/Capricorn kind of way of doing things. Leo has a Hero complex and Heroes tend to stand out by themselves.

I was just thinking the other day about how a Democracy is exactly the wrong type of political philosophy for getting countries out of the deep do-do that we're currently in. Everything takes too long by committee. Tyrants can get things done and that's not always a bad thing, except that sometimes they turn mean. Ben Bernanke likes committees. We all like Ben Bernanke. Ben is very smart, he's super cute, I tend to think that I'm watching a guy playing baseball rather than a world economy tanking, but Bernanke's forehead isn't as big as Geithner's. Interesting that both men are Fire Suns with Water Moons.

That's a lot of steam.

Back to Guy Fawkes. Guy Fawkes was a rebel. That's how history talks about him right now at any rate. According to an astrology blog that was posted which I can't remember the name of, _--------- (it was British and it was really good), we don't know Guy Fawkes' birthday. He was christened on Apr. 16, 1570. People say he was born on Apr. 13, 1570 but nobody knows for sure.

My computer program says that Fawkes was a Taurus, not an Aries, because he was born during Old School calendar, same as Leonardo da Vinci. Taurus would explain why his name comes up in discussions about finances.

Taurus rules finances and art. Fawkes is known for his pointy chin goatee which seems like a Taurus thing since Taurus rules the lower jaw and neck area. Most people think he's an Aries Sun which he could be. Obviously I don't know, but isn't it interesting how people never assume that a person is a Taurus, have you ever noticed that?. I don't know what Old School and New School calendars mean. Someone once told me but I forgot. Something which has to do with what the Pope wanted. Funny how this post is supposed to be about people who are dealing with finances of our times and keeps turning intostuff about religions (which I've mostly edited out by now).

(I like the Buddhists. Remember the Buddhists? My Father said that Buddhism is the best religion but Buddhism doesn't work in the markets and that's why people don't embrace it. Well, except for Steve Jobs.)

Like I said, Fawkes would have had a lot of flow because he had at least one Grand trine. He could probably get away with more in life than most people can. Or at least he thought he could get away with more and then he got caught. He was born during an outer planet Grand Trine in Air. Jupiter 15 Aquarius trine Saturn 18 Libra Rx trine Neptune 20 Gemini. This Grand Trine is activated right now because this chart (Fawkes') is going through a Saturn Return.

The Apr. 13 date also gives another Grand Trine, this time in Earth, which would be activated by transiting Pluto right now. Sun 3 Taurus would be trine NN 6 Virgo trine Uranus 4 Capricorn Rx. Uranus rules rebellions, Sun rules Risk, so there you go. The guy was unpredictable and inspirational. And I think that Grand Trines are great for spies so he probably was good at working people.

Fawkes' Virgo NN might show why the Pluto in Virgo generation has a strong fascination with this guy. I'm sort of embarrassed to say that the V for Vendetta phenomenon began with a comic strip which is the best art form of my generation and a source of great embarrassment to me. Virgo seems to be strongly connected with the markets and material world and so is better with the graphics arts than with the "high arts". If it is great art nobody will want it until 100 years after you are dead and what smart Virgo is going to go along with that kind of pain? Oh well, power to the people who do crafty crap. And people who live in the middle class.

Kind of interesting that the Middle Class has pretty much disappeared from the Pluto in Virgo generation. That's a discussion which could go on and on so I'll avoid it. The anonymous hackers have found that they have a talent which they can get away with no matter how much pain it causes others so they are finding a great outlet in Fawkes and not Geithner the Leo who represents the old school idea to them. Geithner's chart shows a strong Romantic side so I think his generation sort of bugs him.

Right now Fawkes is going through a Mars Return in Leo. With Mars in Leo, Fawkes had a noble side as well as a foolish side, as do all Mars in Leos. He wanted to be heroic. He wanted to do the right thing. The New York Occupy people haven't killed anybody but there have been some problems in other places like Oakland and Oklahoma. Does it have something to do with place names that begin with the letter O, long form? Oakland always riots and the truth is this is because the people who live there are mean.

I wonder if this is mostly a 25-year old Boy thing overall. Especially White Boys. The government is trying to get them to perk up because they aren't eligible for Affirmative Action and they commit suicide a lot when they get older. Uranus is at 1 Aries which shows that the spark has to come before the plan. That's interesting. That's a lesson that Saturn has to learn.

Fawkes also had a square of Neptune 20 Gemini to Pluto at 23 Pisces. So he was born during a time when mysticism would have wreaked havoc amongst the peoples? There is probably more than the usual amount of stuff that people feel that they can't explain when Neptune and Pluto are in bad aspect with each other. They would have really struggled with things like Religions which are trying to explain it all away with some story about Virgins and a guy who will forgive for torturing him to death. Today with this long winding Neptune-Pluto sextile that keeps phasing in and out we are finding out about more mysteries through Science. Healers are still self professed and sometimes that gets a little stupid.

Back in Guy Fawkes' day, people probably did have mystical powers and it wasn't because they were trying so hard; or at least they figured they needed to develop mystical powers in order to deal with what life was throwing at them. People can never really fully know the powers of either Neptune or Pluto because we will never experience a full return of those planets to our natal charts. It sure is interesting that during the Age of Aquarius many of us can expect to live through our first Uranus Return, Age 83-84.

Right now, Fawkes' chart is also going through a Chiron Return conjunct Neptune. Chiron is at 27 Aquarius. That's an extra mystical Chiron Return which involves crowds of people and mobs. I'm just finishing that one up and I have the same Chiron placement within a degree. I got to be gang stalked by the scum of the earth who is now running around in Guy Fawkes' masks.

Weirdness, Geithner is also entering his Chiron Return. They have chiron in different signs. Fawkes in Aquarius. Geithner in Pisces. And, of course, it's just plain weird that I'm comparing their two charts in one blog.

Chiron in Aquarius: Healing and Failure of "The People." That's a universal problem for all of humanity to deal with. The Catholics have consistently failed to deal with this but they keep on waving their incense burners. Problem with the Catholics is that, as I said before, everywhere they go an Inquisition follows. I'm not fond of Religions because they separate people for no reason, but when you fail at money you tend to turn towards God so what else can a person do? The Catholics are probably actually rebelling only because Oprah went off the air. They need to be told that everything can be healed.

So, this brings me back to Tim Geithner who nobody gives credit to. Saturn and Jupiter Rx. His Father never gave him credit? He's strongly Leo so he's got more than the usual amount of confidence?

Problem with Leo is that the Stars never stay the same and the Sun constantly progresses and Leo Sun have it bad in that respect. You're all shiny and unselfconscious and then your Sun takes on the flavor of Virgo which sits there feeling embarrassed for everyone else. Then it moves into Libra and doesn't know what end is up. Do you want to drive or shall I? Do you want to open the window, or shall I? Libra can see all sides. That's only because Leo opens the heart and Virgo brings a sense of servitude. By the time they become shrinks later on in life Libras can pretty much articulate everything that bothers another person.

Geithner's Moon would be the real kicker in his chart and I can't really place it because I don't have his birth time. At noon it's in middle degrees Scorpio. At that point it's in conjunction with Neptune in Scorpio. Scorpio rules shared finances and very often that equals: Crises. People don't really like to share finances, if you want to be honest about it and that's one of Scorpios' little challenges.

Scorpio, like Leo, is a fixed sign so combined as they are here shows that Geithner has staying power. Unlike Leo Scorpio likes to rule from behind the scenes.

If Moon is in conjunction with Neptune, this combined with Mercury c. Uranus in Geithner's chart shows two strong psychic connections of very different styles. Mercury-Uranus is very quick and intuitive, but Moon conjunct Neptune in Scorpio shows a highly psychic person whose feeling levels defy speed, but who is probably not good at explaining what's going on in his mind. That's why Geithner's head looks like the popcorn is just about ready.

People don't like what they don't understand and if Geithner has both of these aspects together people might feel that they can't trust him. Oh well, end of rant.

Back in 1996 President Clinton did a very great thing. The President appointed a lawyer named Brooksley Born to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Problem is, he didn't listen to what Ms. Born was warning against which was all the financial bubbles which we have since popped. Born has strong earth content in her chart so she's a good one to give a reality check. I suppose one would want to be in the mood for a reality check, though, in order to take advantage of the situation.

There are a whole bunch of reasons why nobody took Born's warnings seriously. For one she's a native Californian and I figure that always knocks one's believability down a notch on the East Coast. Her name is also kind of fun, so maybe they thought she was a Disney cartoon. Also, and oops about this but Brooksley Born is a woman.

Seriously on an Astrological scale: Born has no oppositions in her chart. This is often thought to indicate that an individual doesn't have the inner sense of how to engage others in confrontation.

Brooksley Born is a Virgo and they're also not necessarily confrontational. They just say things straight from the hip and let the chips fall where they may. The Sun-Mars conjunction in Virgo in Born's chart shows a person with great analytical abilities but perhaps which comes across as impulsive or pre-what, what's the word I'm looking for, nobody's ready to hear it. Born has Mercury in Leo, which can come across as too much bravado especially in a woman and Mercury here is squaring Uranus which explains more mental acuity and intuition. The Sun-Mars conjunction, except for the out of sign connection with Mercury is unaspected to other planets. This gives the sense that the energy has trouble hooking up other energies in the chart and comes across as out of sync. Perhaps she came off as being too alarming at the time.

Born also has a tight one degree conjunction of Saturn 15 Taurus Rx to Jupiter 16 Taurus. Jupiter and Saturn conjunctions represent one of the most studied planetary cycles especially in connection with politics. They are in conjunction with each other every 20 years. Taurus is the sign of money and banking and Jupiter-Saturn aspects can show where social awareness occurs within each generation.

It just so happens that there was another Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Taurus in 1999-2000 which sort of marked the peak of the first of the financial bubbles. So she and people born within a few months of her would have been hooked into this year very strongly on a psychic level (and material as well apparently).

Born also has Uranus at 27 Taurus so 3 of her outer planets are in that sign. Her generation was meant to go through something connected with Taurus' rulerships, of money, banking, possessions, self worth, material world. Uranus represents rebellions and shocks and surprises.

Looking at Saturn in this chart one sees why (now that it's afterthefact, of course) Born would be the one to give off the warning for her generation. Saturn rules caution and all warnings. Saturn also rules an excellent sense of timing. Saturn in this chart is heavily emphasized because it was Stationing Retrograde in Taurus on the day she was born.

Saturn is also the Lead Planet of the bowl shaped chart. Bowl shaped charts have all planets on one side. Spiritually this is supposed to mean that the person is aware of the fact that they are missing their other half. In this case it could account for Born's hyper awareness, especially of her generation's faults.

Or because of the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction she was speaking out on behalf of her entire generation. The Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in this chart is unaspected by major aspect to other planets which means that it stands out in some way. That could be why no one paid attention, not the pessimists (Saturn). Not the optimists (Jupiter). Not the Democrats (Saturn). Not the Republicans (Jupiter). (I may have the parties turned around, whatever at this point).

A person with a Sun-Mercury-Mars conjunction is also going to be the type who will give off an alarm as they will want to communicate. Sun-Mars will be the first to enter the room. This impulsiveness is perhaps the problem. Perhaps Born needed to prepare and plan for her announcement so that it would be believable, as stupid as that sounds.

So, Born's chart contains many indicators for why no one would have listened to her at the time. No oppositions (show relationship, harmony, balance). Bowl shaped chart. Lots of Islands. Saturn Rx. Low key earth personality, especially with Virgo Sun.

I was curious to see what Chiron is doing in Born's chart as Chiron is known as the wounded healer. It usually shows where we can't seem to fix a problem. Chiron is at 28 Cancer and in conjunction with Pluto 4 Leo. The connection over the Cancer-Leo cusp could perhaps just show that she represented a bridge between one way of thinking and another. Pluto brings Fame. It also brings Crises and, of course, is connected with Financial Crises as it rules all dealings with other peoples' money. Cancer represents emotional security. Leo represents risk taking and fun. They thought she was just being a spoilsport. She also has Lilith in conjunction with her South Node in Aries which shows some sort of rejection coming into her destiny from a spiritual element. She was appointed to her post during a Nodal Return(18.9 year cycle) in Libra. Libra NN has lessons to learn about diplomacy and how frustrating people are to deal with.

Born's progressed Sun was squaring this conjunction during her appointment at the Federal Trade Commission so it was really coming out. It was at 4 Scorpio squaring natal Pluto within a degree in 2001 so her Warnings came true at that time.

It's important to realize that in 1996 when Born gave her warning Pluto had just moved into Sagittarius, Saturn had just moved into Aries. That's a lot of Fire and fire represents enthusiasm. There was a Jupiter-Neptune conjunction at the end of Capricorn so Clinton was being torn apart by the Republicans for all kinds of bull shit reasons. This would have been a huge opposition for Born because it was still within conjunction with Uranus at the beginning of Aquarius and this would have opposed her natal Pluto-Chiron.

Look at the Suns! They are both a 5 Cardinal. That must mean something, right? It's right after a Solstice/Equinox.

Mercury in both charts is in the sign that it rules and is elevated in both charts up near the Midheaven. Mars is also in sign of its rulership if you include the old style rulerships. Today it is in Scorpio conjunct Venus. In 1990 it was in Aries.

And since these temperatures occur 20 years apart I thought I'd look for Jupiter-Saturn contacts since that's a 20 year cycle. Jupiter is vaguely opposing Saturn within larger outer planet oppositions which take place right on the 4th-10th House Axis:

1990: At Noon these planets were in the 4th House: Uranus 8 Capricorn c. Neptune 14 Capricorn, Saturn 24 Capricorn opposing these planets in the 10th HOuse: Jupiter 19 Cancer c. Chiron 18 Cancer with Sun 4 Cancer c. Mercury 28 Gemini

2010: At 12:15 pm these planets were in the 4th House: Jupiter 28 Pisces c. Uranus 29 Pisces opposing these planets in the 10th House: well, Mercury 20 Vrigo (H9) Sun 5 libra c. Saturn 8 Libra and squaring Pluto-NN (3 & 8 Capricorn) in the 1st House.

Not only do we have a Jupiter-Saturn opposition here, but there is also a Sun-Uranus opposition. For heat you want to look at the planets which rule Fire, these are Sun, Mars and Jupiter. Of these, Sun and Jupiter are both prominent on the 4th-10th House axis. Mars is in signs that it rules Aries and Scorpio. (It is apex of a t-square in the 7th House in 1990 and is in the 11th House conjunct Venus in today's chart. That gives it some sort of connection with Venus/Libra but that's probably irrelevant info)

Moon is in Fixed Signs in both charts. You expect some stubbornness for anything record breaking.

Today's chart is lacking planets in Fire but 1990's chart has Moon and Mars in Fire Signs. Just thought I'd look that up to see if anything in particular turns up the thermostat.

Saturn/Capricorn could be related to anything record breaking. Today we have Pluto-NN in Capricorn squaring Saturn-Sun in H10. In 1990 Uranus-Neptune were in Conjunction in Capricorn along with Saturn later on in the sign. All placed down in the 4th house. Capricorn, though, is a cold sign, so I don't get it.

Mercury and Jupiter are prominent as chart rulers. Jupiter's a Fire planet that does everything in excess so I guess that makes sense. Perhaps Mercury's prominence is just connected to thermometers and recorded temperatures.

There were huge riots in Los Angeles in 1992. And the big Northridge Earthquake occurred in 1994.

More on the Billings Murders in Florida

Don't really intend to pursue this all that much but was interested to find out an interesting tidbit about the Florida murder of a couple in their homes.

According to what I've found the birth dates for the Victims are:

Another Arrest has been made. Pamela Long Wiggins rented a place out to Gonzalez, Jr. so had contact with him. Her van was used during the robbery and the safe that was stolen was found in her backyard.

Wow, well, without place or time it's difficult to say much about anything here. There's a possibility that all 3 of these people were born under a Full Moon. So that could possibly be some Eclipse action.

Also, all 3 of them have a conjunction of Mars to Neptune. Byrd had a conjunction of Sun 30 Virgo to Neptune 30 Virgo to Mars 4 Libra. Melanie and Pamela both had the conjunction in Scorpio. There is talk on the Websleuths site that drug trafficking is involved which would make sense for Mars and Neptune. But whether this means that these people were involved or just the victims of the traffickers I can't say.

Byrd was born during the Saturn-Uranus conjunction in Gemini and had both of these squaring his Nodal Axis.

Melanie was born with a difficult chart. Her Sun is conjunct the Uranus-Pluto opposition to Saturn-Chiron which occurred during 1965. This is squaring her Nodal Axis.

Interesting how these two charts relate. Don't have much time to look very deeply at this, but both Husband and Wife had Virgo Suns and possibly Pisces Moons. That would certainly explain their need to care for all those children. Plus both had Uranus-Pluto contacts. And as said previously both had Mars-Neptune conjunctions. Melanie would have been attracted to difficult situations through the placement of her Sun on that big opposition. They apparently were involved in some sort of illegal adoption thing a while back.

Pamela was born during the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Capricorn (24-29 degrees) of her birth year (assuming this is correct date, someone on Websleuths pointed out that she claimed to be a Taurus on a profile page on some website). If the date given above is correct she would have had Sun c. Mercury Rx squaring Jupiter-Saturn. She wouldn't have been a real clear thinker but would have liked to be in charge of things. Jupiter-Saturn and Libra Sun are very social placements to have. Apparently she was the link between Gonzalez, Jr. and the Byrds.

Susan Boyle

There's a very informative thread at Noel Tyl's forum concerning Susan Boyle's birth data along with brilliant observations about her chart with regards to her recent fame. Anyways, thank you to the great astrologers over there.

Boyle is the Scottish woman who recently auditioned for Britain's Got Talent and completely shocked and wowed the audience with her wonderful singing. When the show aired on Apr. 10 she became an instant international success. It couldn't be any other way with an Aquarius Midheaven. At any rate, from what I hear, this is an excellent example of the type of career successes a person with a conjunction of Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune transiting the 10th House can have.

Susan Boyle
b. Apr. 1, 1961 Bathgate, Scotland 9:50 BST

Sun 12 Aries; Moon 13 Libra; ASC 29 Gemini; MC16 Aquarius; NN 5 Virgo

First thing I thought about was that Boyle at age 47 is going through a Jupiter Return. Her natal Jupiter is in Aquarius so it's full of surprises. Jupiter, of course, rules Luck. Boyle's Jupiter is special because it is in a conjunction with her Saturn over the cusp in Capricorn. This is the same 1961 Jupiter-Saturn conjunction that President Obama has and he has shot to amazing success this year as well.

An interesting story on the Wikipedia entry is that Susan's Mother was 47 when she gave birth to Susan. So Susan is the same age her Mother was when she was born and so they share a Jupiter Return. Since her Mother recently died I have no doubt that she's hanging on Susan's shoulder and giving her a boost in life. 47 was pretty old for a woman to be giving birth back in 1961 and apparently caused some complications with Susan's breathing at birth. It looks as if the Saturn conjunction with the Jupiter was maybe a way of holding her back until this moment. Saturn makes you wait. It also can show a flowering late in life and can indicate an older parent in some way.

The date for the actual performance I believe may have been Jan. 21, 2009 in Glasgow, Scotland. According to (http://forum.unrealitytv.co.uk/index.php?topic=6250.0) the actual auditions may have been on Oct. 22, 23,24, 2008. I get the feeling that some of this surprise was a bit staged, not that there's anything wrong with that. I just don't think the show let Boyle out on that live stage without knowing who they were sending on.

At any rate, on Jan. 21, Boyle was celebrating her Jupiter Return within a degree. It was also conjunct the Sun in Aquarius and Mercury in Capricorn. And remember that it was also conjunct her natal Saturn. So maybe it was her Father who was helping her out. Either way, Saturn equals Career and Social Standing and Ambition. The North Node (Destiny) was at 10 Aquarius having just passed over Boyle's Midheaven which rules all the same things as Saturn.

Mercury rules Boyle's Ascendant which represents Appearance. Interesting that her older, perhaps dowdy physical appearance is being used as a lesson for us all not to judge people by appearances. Mercury here is in the sign of age, Capricorn and is conjunct Saturn. The combination of Gemini ASC and Aquarius Midheaven is always a bit unpredictable.

If this birth data is correct Susan is an Aries born on a Full Moon within a degree. Interesting that her Moon is conjunct Simon Cowell's Sun within a degree. She is being called something like "The Woman Who Shut Simon Up." Or made him speechless, or something like that.

Anyways, Aries Suns are the most lyrical singers. They naturally lead with directness and an ability to flow. I can hear that in the way Susan sings. They don't fiddle with unnecessary doo-dads and embellishment. Billie Holiday and Aretha Franklin are Aries Suns.

Venus rules the voice along with Mercury. Susan's natal Venus is in Aries and is Retrograde. It's just very interesting that she was revealed to the world during a Venus Rx. That would be close to her Venus return (natal Venus at 27 Aries so she's really getting everything she can out of this one).

Venus Rx Aries natally could explain her problems in childhood in which she was thought to have some brain (Aries) deficiency and suffered a popularity problem among her peers (Venus Rx). My new keyword for Venus Rx is "popularity problem". Venus stationed direct by progression exactly on Susan's Sun (Ego, Creativity, Limelight, Vitality) back in 1991-92. I wonder if this was a turnaround time for her with regards to coming out of her shell. I saw that she took lessons in 1995 and recorded in 1999. The progressions, of course, are very slow moving as they show psychological and spiritual development in a person.

The Parkfield Earthquake Series

Since the Astrology demands it and Monica at AstrologyMundo got me distracted by it, now I'm back to trying to look at Earthquakes and Astrology of California mostly. In preparation for the Shake Rattle n Roll. Wikipedia and USGS are an endless resources of fun. Unfortunately assembling the data without proper computer software probably makes this a useless study. Nevertheless, I think I have gleaned some pretty awesome information about earthquakes that have been hitting the Parkfield, California area with some regularity on an average of every 21-22 years. These earthquakes are great for a study of cycles. Someday I hope to be able to understand why they skip cycles.

Parkfield is located in Monterey Country, California sandwiched out in the middle of nowhere between Highway 101 and the 5. They have a bluegrass festival once a year, that's how remote it is. It can be read about here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkfield,_California.

21-22 years indicates a few different cycles. Jupiter and Saturn have a conjunction about every 20 years so I was wondering if that would play a role. A person's first Uranus square also hits at around Age 21 so this could be significant in the spacing of the earthquakes. These are interesting planets to look at in terms of Astrology. Uranus is very significant in Earthquakes as it represents big, sudden, shocking changes of any type. Jupiter and Saturn working together is an interesting aspect to look at as Jupiter rules Expansion and Saturn rules Contraction and it seems that this is what Earthquakes are all about. Parkfield is on the San Andreas Fault line which is one of the biggest fault lines in the world and is where two major continental plates meet up. Sounds like a social Jupiter-Saturn combination situation if nothing else. Wonder if Jupiter-Saturn combinations are responsible for Blue grass festivals ...

Another cyclic type of activity I thought to look at after taking a peek at the dates of the earthquakes was the progressed Sun passage. This is most of all because Sun Spot cycles are said to go through an 11 year and then a 22 year cycle. The people who study Financial cycles really like this cycle.

(Off the subject, I found a page out of a book on Google called Investigations in Currency and Finance by William Stanley and Herbert Foxwell. From the Chapter on Financial Crises, p. 226, there is discussion about the Sun Spot cycles and a big one in particular happened in 1857. The authors were writing in the 19th century and predicted the long depression through these cycles apparently. Book is costing around $500 bucks on Amazon. The Sun Spots stopped all through August last year and the Markets dropped their skirts the next month. I think it's time to ask Dover Editions to resurrect this book from the grave.) Anyway, I'm sure that Stanley and Foxwell could have predicted the Parkfield and Grand Tejon Earthquakes without batting an eyelash. Money and Tectonics, it's all the same material objects in the end.

At any rate, the Sun heats up anything it touches, so it makes sense that it could be linked in someway with earthquakes. Gold, a Solar ruled object, motivates man to do all kinds of stupid behaviors, why not be the motivator also for the earth to crack around a little.

So, I was curious about any cycles having to do with the Sun. I began by looking at Secondary Progressions because of the fact that the successive earthquakes follow the Progressed Sun movement closely at first and then sort of in an out-of whack kind of way. (a long time ago I wrote a blog about how men in the Bush family were born in succession on each other's progressed Sun placements. Sun also rules "Kings." Unfortunately it doesn't specify Good Kings or Bad Kings, that's why discerning Virgo follows Leo in the Wheel).

The Solar Arcs are based on the movement of the Progressed Sun. All the planets move about 1 degree forward per year. This is relevant for our modern Solar type of society (that's based on the Greeks who were really into Apollo the Sun God, etc.). Any way, unlike the progressed planetary chart, the Solar Arc chart keeps the basic integrity of the birth chart so that when a Solar Arc planet lines up with a natal planet or angle, or transiting planet, the potential of the natal chart is activated in some way.

I found that Solar Arc Progressions showed some really amazing stuff. The Solar Arc activity is just really crazy for reasons that I think I have partially figured out at least.

You can read about the Parkfield Earthquake Series on Wikipedia. This particular spot has been studied intensely by seismologists. Astrologers that they really are deep down, they are fascinated by the regularity. The quakes have all been over 6.0 on the Richter scale which is big. The Scientists predicted that there would be an Earthquake by 1993 but nothing happened until 2004. But a 6.5'er went off in Coalinga on May 2, 1983 4:42pm Coalinga, CA which is thought to have distracted energies from Parkfield. Coalinga looks to be up NE of Parkfield maybe less than 100 miles away. At any rate, Uranus and Neptune were clowning around in control freaky Capricorn and there were a lot of other earthquakes happening that year. I think there was also some other major Eclipse or something. Down south there were major earthquakes in Big Bear in 1992 and in Northridge in 1994.

I don't have times for most of the earthquakes but that's just as well in studying them so far. All that extra information would have made the cycles more difficult to read. Here's the list:

1st of the recorded set is considered a foreshock (Uranus) of the biggest earthquake recorded in California, the Tejon Earthquake, which I listed in my 7.0 + blog entry a few days ago.

First thing I looked at were the Jupiter-Saturn relationships. What struck me was the popularity of these earthquakes among the Scientists. That sounds like a Jupiter-Saturn social thing. Sorry, but the National Enquirer effect is the only way to draw my interest in.

What I noticed was that Jupiter and Saturn were not only in relationship in a whole lot of these earthquakes but Jupiter is always in Cardinal Signs. Saturn is in Cardinal Signs for 4 out of the 6 quakes. And, one of the remaining 2 was 30 Pisces, right about to go into Aries (1966). Jupiter travels through one sign about every year so will be in a Cardinal Sign every 3 years. Saturn travels through one sign about every 2-21/2 years and will enter a Cardinal Sign about every 7-8 years (for 2 - 2 1/2 years). They have a conjunction about every 20 years. This has been said to have major political impacts on the world and is connected with shootings of U.S. Presidents and Tecumseh's curse. Obviously it didn't work because there was one when Bush became President and he lived.

3 out of six of these quakes occurred during a Jupiter-Saturn conjunction (1881, 1901, 1922). 1 out of six happened during a square of Jupiter-Saturn (1857). One happened during a minor aspect, sorry I think it's a semi-square, can't read those damn symbols (1934). The others were out-of-orb. Actually, it looks like only one doesn't show an aspect between the two planets. Jupiter has been in Libra for 3 times, in Aries for 2 times, and in Capricorn and Cancer one time each. This is interesting because in Northern California the big earthquakes tend to happen while the Sun is in a Cardinal Sign, namely in Aries and Libra. That's just weather and time of year stuff, I know, but still...

The Parkfield quakes seem to have a real Jupiter-Saturn networking ability. First off they are attracting the Scientists. Next off, they seem related to other earthquakes. The first recorded Parkfield quake was in relation to the Grand Tejon quake. The 2004 quake is said to have been delayed by the Coalinga quake in 1983. Parkfield's placement is in Central California so perhaps this quake is balancing the stresses between Northern and Southern California.

At any rate, Jupiter-Saturn. Expand-Contract. Good to remember.

Next thing I noticed were the progressed Sun phases. For the first 3 quakes, the progressed Sun of the previous earthquake would be within conjunction of when the next one would happen. The progressed Sun of the Jan. 1857 quake is conjunct the event Sun of the Feb. 1881 quake to the degree. The degrees start getting more and more off after that. Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, but within close orb. The Pisces Sun Earthquake of 1922 was followed by a 2nd Pisces Sun earthquake in 1934. Both possibly had Leo Moons. Pisces/Leo combinations are drama queens and need a lot of attention, what can I say? Both of these earthquakes happened while Jupiter was in Libra (17 Libra in 1922 and 14 Libra in 1934). The 1934 earthquake, of course, was the first to happen out of the 21-22 year phase and knocked the whole rhythm whacky. That must have been when they brought in the Bluegrass Festival as Pisces/Leo loves music and has bad taste. The 2004 earthquake also had Jupiter in Libra.

The Earthquakes skipped Aries Sun (April) and Taurus Sun (May) and then had two June earthquakes in a row. 18 Gemini in 1934 and 7 Cancer in 1966. Parkfield didn't have an earthquake in the early 1990s as predicted but it would be nice to think that it would have been while the Sun was either in Leo or in Virgo. The next and most recent quake was in 2004, 38 years later. It was with a 6 Libra Sun.

And the 38 years difference between 1966 makes close to a Nodal Return in Taurus. This is interesting because in Astrology the rulers of earthquakes are generally considered Uranus (sudden, shocking events) and Pluto (big crises, underground). These points tie in with the original 1857 earthquake chart. The North Node of the 1966 earthquake was at 24 Taurus conjunct the 1857 Uranus 22 Taurus. The 2004 earthquake was at 4 Taurus conjunct the 1857 Pluto 4 Taurus. Taurus is an earth sign so it seems that having these two planets that rules earthquakes in an earth sign would somehow lead to something significant. Banking certainly has been going through big changes since these planets plowed through Taurus together.

At any rate, this led to a closer look at the Solar Arc Progressions. I began to notice that the spacing between Uranus and Pluto in the chart is set up with a distance of about 18 degrees. This means that in the series, the Solar Arc Pluto was within orb of conjunction with the event Uranus for the first 3 earthquakes in the set. Their going out of sync sort of lines up with why the phases started going out of sync.

But it gets more interesting than this. The chart for the 1857 quake is a Bowl Shape possibly held within boundaries between a Capricorn Sun and a conjunction of Moon-Saturn in Cancer. This means that all the planets are held within one side of the circle by an opposition. In this case the opposition would have been extra strong as it was between the Sun and Saturn, and possibly included a Full Moon opposition.

There are strong conjunctions spaced out within this bowl which shift in time through the Solar Arc Progressions to line up with each other about every 20 years. (In a Solar Arc chart all the planets progress one degree per year following the progression of the Sun). The Progressed Sun has been hitting these conjunctions and setting off the earthquakes. At the same time the Moon would have been opposing them. This is major Full Moon bombardment aspects.

The conjunctions are as follows:

Sun 20 Capricorn. Chiron-Mercury 5-6 Aquarius (p.Sun 1881). Mars-Venus (p.Sun 1901) Aquarius-Pisces. Jupiter-NN Aries (p.Sun 1934). Pluto 4 Taurus (p.Sun 1966). Uranus 22 Taurus. Saturn-Moon? Cancer. The orbs aren't exact for the progressed Sun conjunctions to the natal chart but are fortified by other conjunctions of the Solar Arc charts to the beginning charts and to the following event charts. What I don't understand is the lack of an earthquake in the series as Progressed Sun hit the 1857 event chart Uranus. That should have been a doozy. The Progressed Sun will hit natal Saturn, possibly Moon sometime around 2030 at which time the Solar Arc chart will perfectly oppose the 1857 earthquake chart.

This means, of course, that the chart is constantly bombarding itself. Pluto is bombarding Uranus. The t-square of apex Jupiter-NN are always squaring Saturn-Moon? opposing Sun.

I also progressed the 1857 earthquake which shows interesting stuff which is sort of difficult to make sense of. Wish I had the time of that earthquake to understand placement of the moon. Right now p.Sun is conjunct p.Mars in that chart and prog. Mercury is about to come out of Retrograde. If Secondary Progressed Charts affect earthquakes this looks sort of nasty. Jupiter next hits a Cardinal Sign in Jan. 2011 in the sign of Aries. There's this t-square thingee coming up involving Saturn-Uranus-Pluto as well.

L.A. had its shake rattle n'roll day in which it informed the public about how to act during such an emergency but Northern California has done nothing.

Having lived through an earthquake and the aftermath I have some recommendations. Keep in mind that I'm being silly here but these are very useful to know about beforehand.

• Hang Ikea chandeliers from the ceilings in every room in your house. The first thing people do is to look at the ceiling to figure out if it's an earthquake. Chandeliers are very pretty and will tell you because they swing. Ikea chandeliers are flimsy and won't kill you when they fall.
  
• Next, keep a 12 pack of beer in the refrigerator. The electricity will go out and everyone will be thirsty and you will need to make friends with your neighbors.
  
• Keep a loaded camera and fresh batteries available for taking pictures. CNN will buy them. CNN will buy anything. And this will later buy you a bus ticket out of town. This is your moment to tell people that you're an artist.
  
• Stay away from Windows, they break. If you go outside where there are tall buildings you will get cut into tiny pieces.
• Likewise, if you're on the bottom floor of a building realize that you may very well squash. Find out if you're living on bedrock or landfill. Landfill is remarkably unreliable.
  
• Call the Fire Department to get information on how to get people out of elevators once the power goes out. Do this before the earthquake and post it next to the doors of the elevator. People panic in elevators. Okay, so they might not scream but they will have to pee soon. And no matter how many people you know who can make all kinds of cool crafty crap with duct tape and rope these supplies are never around when you need them for getting people out of elevators.
  
• It's also really cool to know where to shut off the gas and water mains. The electricity will go out on its own, it always does.
  
• Keep a full set of clothes in the bathroom at all times. Every damn earthquake I've ever been in the news has covered a story about some poor schmoe who got stuck naked in the shower. It's embarrassing.
• Those are my suggestions. You can tell I'm useless in an emergency. I tend to have laughing attacks.
  

Johannes Mehserle, BART Police Shooter

Johannes Mehserle is the ex-Oakland BART Train police officer who killed a hand cuffed man in the back on New Year's Day. I wrote about the incident a few days ago. Mehserle has been charged with Murder and has surrendered to Oakland Police.

Can't vouch for its accuracy, but Mahalo.com and a SFGate.com article have listed a birth date for Mehserle. The chart is really incredible from an Astrological point of view. According to that website and the article which is available at this link:

Sun 16 Capricorn; Moon most likely Capricorn; NN 11 Leo

If this is correct, Mehserle was 3 degrees away from his Solar Return. And the Solar Return would involve a conjunction of the Sun to Mars and Pluto. According to the SFGate article, the shooting happened, Mehserle's wife gave birth to a Son and Mehserle had a Birthday. Wow. Mars can indicate violence, but it can also indicate having a Son.

If this birth date is correct, Mehserle is a Double Capricorn. On bad days this can indicate an overbearing streak and authoritarian attitude. On the other end of the Capricorn spectrum, this can indicate a heavy Karmic side involving intense lessons concerning guilt and shame, difficult lessons. Capricorns tend to have to play by the rules because they often can't get away much. The Leo North Node could repeat the Bossiness theme and Mars conjunct South Node could further emphasize this along with an impulsive streak that acts before it thinks.

Chiron squares the Nodes and Mars. This indicates some kind of wounding wound up in one's destiny with fighting and aggression. The Mars energy and the Saturn energy in this chart seem to have found a common ground in the police profession but in this case they are bringing out each other's bad side.

Mehserle's chart has two conjunctions which are exact to the degree: Venus-Neptune in Sagittarius and Jupiter-Saturn in Libra. These are pretty friendly aspects overall. The Venus-Neptune could get carried away especially in Sagittarius. Mehserle may have had a little bit of a hang over from too much partying the night before. The (natal) Jupiter-Saturn conjunction is conjunct the 12th house cusp to the degree of the event chart (Placidus). Jupiter-Saturn represents Society on a Social Level and its placement in Libra, sign of Diplomacy and Peace Making, is pretty bizarre. 12th House, though, represents Self-Undoing, Institutions like Jail and Martyrdom so perhaps this particular event seems to have brought out a streak of this. Mehserle's refusal to speak infuriated the public which has evolved into rioting on at least two occasions. 12th House often simply can't explain its actions.

Mehserle is caught in a lot of Cyclic Return activity. He is probably just past his 2dary Progressed Lunar Return and is heading in to his Saturn Return. This is significant since both his Sun and Moon disposit to Saturn. He is also going through his Nodal Opposition, a time of extreme confusion and having one's world turned upside down. If this is a true birth date this chart is really amazing because the Nodal Axis for the event was crossing the IC/MC axis which represents opposition between the Public and Authority. Interesting that these points are represented by the Moon and Saturn in one's chart as well. And the chart shows someone with strong Saturn-Moon contacts.

If Mehserle were born early in the day his Moon would have been getting hit by the Sun-Mars-Pluto transiting conjunction on the Aries Point. That's a highly emotional aspect. Bob Marks, who has done extensive research on the astrology of murderers, has pointed out the significance of Mars-Moon combination in violence. (www.bobmarksastrologer.com) He has also found how common Capricorn Moon is in murderers (which isn't the best news for those of us who have the natal aspect ourselves.)

I've listened to Malcolm Gladwell's book (either Tipping Point or Blink, can't remember) where Gladwell discusses research that has examined a sort of Mars-Moon-Pluto hormone effect in police officers which can lead to brutality. There's a chemical reaction that can happen which causes them to go into some sort of brutality mode if not checked. Astrology sure would have been useful to the police department in this case because Mehserle was in line to completely lose it around these dates.

Also interesting is the mutual Venus-Neptune conjunctions between the natal chart and the event chart. The conjunction in the natal chart is in Sagittarius and is in Aquarius in the event chart in the 4th house. Venus in the event chart rules the 7th House so I associated it with the Victim, Oscar Grant, but it certainly looks like the killer is indicated as well. These aren't planets I would associate with committing police brutality unless it's through some sort of gas or inaudible, invisible vibe. What's even more interesting is the fact that they both square the Uranus placement of the other. Mehserle's natal Venus-Neptune is apex to a t-square of the Saturn-Uranus opposition. One possible explanation could be the amount of video filming that was done at the event and the Internet "conviction" by the public.

The natal chart shows an unaspected Uranus in Scorpio indicating that for Mehserle, impulse and shock run deep and can bring on crises. Uranus is in a sign for 7 years so this is a generational planet showing general social consciousness. in this chart the Uranus energy can't flow with the rest of the planets of the chart so sudden crises could tend to ball up for this guy (if this is his chart). Progressed Mars is now squaring this Uranus which heightens the volatility and impulsiveness for Mehserle over the next few years. His nervous system will be under assault something which a double Capricorn already would struggle with due to deep perceptual abilities and difficult self-expression. Hopefully, he is not living with the rest of the prisoners in the jail.

By some sort of coincidence I was reminded here of the Stanford Prison Experiment which I studied on this blog a while back. This case for me seems to be about uncontrollable rage and police brutality rather than racism and this is what the Stanford experiment was about. A psychologist at Stanford University hired ordinary men to conduct a study on behaviors that occurred within a prison environment. Half were assigned roles as prisoners and half were assigned roles as prison guards and they all knew they were play acting their roles. Within a day the prisoners were rioting. The experiment, originally planned to last 14 days, was ended after 6 because the prison guards abused their authoritarian roles and became abusive.

I compared the charts between the New Year's incident and didn't find any significant similarities at first. But, I did find similarities between Mehserle's supposed birth chart and the Stanford experiment transits. The Leo-Aquarius nodal axis shows up in his natal chart and the Stanford Prison Experiment which took place between Aug. 14 and Aug. 20, 1971.

The NN for the Stanford Prison Experiment was at 15 Aquarius conjunct Mars 17 Aquarius Rx. This Nodal Axis is on the IC/MC of The BART Station shooting with NN at 10 Aquarius.
And Mehserle's Nodal Axis was on top of this. And he was going through his Nodal Opposition.

To add fuel to the fire, so to speak, Mehserle's natal Mars is at 5 Aquarius conjunct his South Node is at 11 Aquarius (NN at 11 Leo) which adds the violent streak.

(The Sun was conjunct Venus in the Stanford Prison Experiment and this was passing over the South Node at the time of the Stanford Prison Experiment.)

I talked about Mehserle's "alleged" (might as well use that word) volatile Uranus in Scorpio at 29 degrees. In alignment with that point, there was a huge transit aspect during The Stanford Prison experiment with Jupiter 30 Capricorn conjunct Neptune 1 Sagittarius and opposing Saturn at 6 Gemini. The Moon was in Taurus and passing through Gemini during the beginning days of the experiment so was setting off those points.

(If the Stanford Prison Experiment had been conducted during a Jupiter-Neptune trine maybe the prisoners would have gotten along.)

At any rate, going even further, way too far probably, down the line, we can look at the publication date for The Lord of the Flies. This book deals with the same type of brutality. It was published in 1954 while the NN was in Capricorn. This means that it was probably being written 1-2 years before while the NN was in Aquarius. Good time to observe the behaviors of people abusing authority in mass group settings, I guess.

In conclusion, all I can say is, boy, the Police really need to pay attention to Mars transits.

Boy, Bernard Madoff is the guy who has been running the50B $$$ Ponzi ring on Wall Street since Only God Knows When. I saw that this guy was born the same year as my Bitchy Ex-Step-Mother, and I wondered how close in time their Birthdays would have been.

Well, on the Step-M front, same Sun, but a Month's difference. Purty dang close. Really arfin similar only she would never admit her guilt.

Interesting how both this guy and the Blag Governor Guy in Illinois both have Scorpio North Nodes and are getting caught right now. I've heard that Scorpio North Node is the most traumatic and it certainly seems to be panning out in that regard at this point in time. Is Pluto in Capricorn somehow affecting them with a little Payback time thing? Or are they such workaholics that the only way for them to take a vacation is to do jail time?

I don't know because no birth time, but Bernard Madoff could possibly be a new Moon "Baby" in Taurus. That would be interesting from an Astrological Point of View because Taurus is associated with Money and Banking. (If he has an Aries Moon then he would also have that in common with the Chicago Governor.) Scorpio is associated with Investments and Other People's Money. So the Sun, possibly Moon and North Node would all be putting Madoff in this category and would explain his natural attraction to this area of life.

And that's not a bad thing, necessarily.

Madoff's ability to shmooze is shown in a number of aspects. It's shown in his conjunction of Venus in Taurus to Mars in Gemini. That's especially good for anything involving Money and Values and Markets. His Venus is conjunct his South Node and squares his Jupiter at 29 Aquarius. This ties this "charm" aspect to his Fate. And charm often leads to the ability to get away with stuff, depending on a person's upbringing, the rest of his chart, etc.

Another good Shmooze aspect is the trine between Uranus 14 Taurus and Neptune 19 Virgo. Madoff's Taurus Sun is conjunct his Uranus. I'd expect that to be a super friendly combination, for sure. Taurus is easy going, so is Uranus. They're both Friendly. This seems to be the "BIGGEE" aspect that has tripped Madoff up through progressions and transits. Madoff's Solar Arc Neptune is conjunct to the degree of his Natal North Node. Neptune rules Pisces and Twelfth House which rules Self-Undoing. Nobody would have caught him, they were all "glitzed" by him and his magical money making abilities. Uranus and Neptune work express themselves according to what large amounts of people do. The people in charge apparently were making too much money off of him to really care about how he was doing what he was doing.

As I said, Madoff's North Node was in Scorpio which is a very difficult North Node to deal with as it is. As I said, Solar Arc Neptune is conjunct it. In addition, Transiting Neptune is approaching a square to it.

Checked Progressed Neptune. Don't know if this matters but natal Neptune progressed out of (natal) Rx position in 1960s sometime just after he opened his business. Perhaps it had something to do with how he started to get off track in his business dealings.

Finally, and probably most significant, then there's the big Saturn-Uranus opposition that's currently transiting the Sky. Transiting Saturn is hitting Madoff's natal Neptune 19 Virgo. Uranus is opposing.

Natal North Node is also heavily aspected. It is opposing Venus (and Mars); squaring Jupiter; trining Pluto; inc. Chiron 28 Gemini; inconjunct Mercury Rx 27 Aries.

On the news last night Christopher Cox admitted that mistakes were made in tracking Madoff since 1999. An interesting astrological association might be made as there was the big once every 20 year conjunction of Juipter to Saturn in Taurus in the first part of 2000. This would have been conjunct very close to Madoff's Sun. This made his ego bloat more out of control, gave extra power especially in financial services. And all his activities would have been veiled by all the Neptunian aspects. Neptune finally caused the self-undoing, he lifted his own veil.

Hamlet as Venusian or Saturnian?

I've recently acquired a couple of different audiobook classes about Shakespeare's Tragedies at some book sales. I've read the play Hamlet a few times and honestly never understood what all the broohaha was about. It just seemed to be a long play about nutty people. And, of course, that's my own nuttiness kicking in along with my ADD. But I like the idea of the Tragedy based on Revenge in Families theme.

First I listened to Harold Bloom's lectures on Hamlet which I purchased from Barnes & Noble. So exciting, for a while at least. Bloom goes on and on saying that Hamlet's intelligence is superior to everyone on earth and never really explains why. Probably I was just spacing out during the parts where he explained, maybe it's my own lack of said Quality that just doesn't get it. But then, Bloom goes into all the psychobabble about Hamlet's life and says that Hamlet's only emotional support was from his Tutor Yorik who died when Hamlet was 7 years old. This creates the emphasis on unresolvable grief that is in the play and shows the loneliness of Hamlet's childhood. Blooms explains that there is much confusion among scholars about Hamlet's age during the play. Bloom says that Hamlet is 30 years old when the play takes place.This is stated in the Graveyard Scene in Act. 5. Things are sounding pretty Saturnian at this point as this is the time of the Saturn Return. I'm seeing Saturnian themes all over the place in the story, of course: Death of Father, Remarriage of Mother, Calculated Revenge, Thwarted Desire, Longest Play, Play named after Shakespeare's Son.

In the story, Hamlet is approached by his Father's Ghost and tells Hamlet that he was murdered by Hamlet's Uncle who has recently rushed to marry his Mother. He's also taken over as King of Denmark. "There's something rotten in Denmark." Hamlet is completely confused by the apparition of his Father and needs proof that his Uncle is his Father's murderer. He stages a play reenacting his Father's Murder to see how his Uncle will react. When his Uncle leaves the room Hamlet has his proof. Even still, his actions are not direct. This causes one goof after another and in the end everyone in the play is dead. That's how tragedy goes. And some families.

So that was fun. I figured I would blog the Saturn thing. Hamlet's character showed what happens when the Saturn Return can't be handled. I also tend to associate the sign of Capricorn with extreme intelligence, although I still don't get why Hamlet is so bright. The structures in a person's life can fall apart and force a person to face his own immaturity. That's a Saturn transit. But, Saturnians don't doddle when it comes to making decisions. They take it for granted that they know who killed whom and they place the judgment immediately without making up tests and putting on plays. Saturn will present tough decisions which must be executed with a level of coldness and matter of factness.

The 2d set of Brilliant College Lectures that I found at a Library Sale (from the Teaching Company) explains that Hamlet's personality is the ultimate Protestant Character. This makes a whole lot of sense to me. I spent an entire year once writing a never ending essay that pondered why it is that Protestants don't feel guilt. It seems that Hamlet was doing the same thing. Or at least his Mom and Uncle should have been feeling the guilt. The Teaching Company Lectures are awesome, highly recommended. I can't remember the Teacher's name, the set fell under the seat of my car and parts tend to get drowned out by road noise so I've taken a little break. Besides, I have to read Othello before moving on. I don't believe Hamlet's age is discussed in these lectures as much.

So I've been Googling around and found this great article:

which says that Hamlet would have been much younger between Age 16-20. The article also says that there will always going to be confusion about this. Hamlet is always referred to as a student in the play and 30 year olds weren't considered of Student Age during Shakespeare's time.

If Hamlet were 16 in the play, his actions would make total sense astrologically. This is a Venus Return year of sorts. It's one of the 8 year-cycles where Venus and the Sun return to their natal spots, or very close to. I tend to think that the Ages of 8 years and 16 years really do mark significant times in children's lives in things Venusian. Social skills, cooties separate the girls from the boys at 8 and bring them back together again at around age 16. Friends are very important at these ages. I have no idea if real astrologers agree with me about these Venus Cycles. (Bruce Scofield has written a really great book about planetary cycles and children's development which I've read half of which is called The Circuitry of the Self.)

At any rate, Hamlet's story makes much better sense when seen from a Sun-Venus point of view. Hamlet must have been born with a conjunction of those two planets. The Returns of these planets together with each other seems to be extra potent as expressed in their lives. At least I've found that to be true in a couple of examples.

For one, indecision is a major Venus theme through the Libra need to maintain balance, to seek justice, to weigh both sides of a situation. Putting on of the play in order to test the Uncle's guilt is a very sophisticated Venusian action. "To Be or Not To Be" is certainly a Venusian statement (or could also be Neptunian as discussed below). Hamlet as a Youth and Student suggests an Inner Planet Character trying to deal on an Outer Planet Scale and not quite succeeding. This seems to me to be the essence of this whole play. The Taurus rulership of Venus which rules Setting of Values is also very prominent and can actually be seen as the root of Hamlet's indecision. The putting on of the play, a leisurely activity, is Venusian. Ophelia, Hamlet's Fiance (Venus=Women in one's life), commits Suicide is very Sun-Venus. Just can't cope.

Saturn is certainly a very strong presence here as one would expect in a story about dealing with one's parents. But this play is about Hamlet the Child of the parents. It shows how difficult it is to deal with and bring justice to the behaviors of family members who have done the wrong thing. How can a Sun-Venus person possibly understand the calculating ruthlessness of a Saturnian person? It can't. Or at least in Astrology it is given from Age 16 (time of the Sun-Venus return energy) to Age 28-29 (time of the Saturn Return) to figure out how.

Harold Bloom says that this play above all others is Shakespeare's most autobiographical. According to the Astrotheme chart for Shakespeare he was very Venusian both Taurus Sun and Libra Moon dispose to Venus. Shakespeare's North Node, however, was in Capricorn which shows the reaching for the Saturnian influence.

The Astrotheme chart also shows a Cancer rising which I'm guessing is the result of someone's rectification talents which I question. It does create another strong Saturnian influence in the chart as Saturn here is placed in the 1st House and is conjunct Jupiter showing Shakespeare's great awareness of how society as a whole works. As Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions happen every 20 years there could be yet another argument that Hamlet's age was 20 years old. The Neptune semi-square happens around Age 21 or so which could also be an influence as shown in the vision of the Ghost, the theatrics, seeking the Uncles' guilt or innocence through a manipulation game rather than through direct communication. I happen to think that Artists and Writers will express themselves in this way through their creations and characters.

Well, just some ponderings.

The Midnight Sun, August 1, 2008 Solar Eclipse

In the comments section someone asked me to look at the Chart of the August 1, 2008 eclipse and say something. I'm without SolarFire right now which means that my wings have been severely clipped. I'm having trouble looking up the chart in pretty much every way. My introduction to Eclipses was that 1999 thang which froze a Grand Square on my Mercury. I had been going to astrology groups for months and hearing everyone talk about it in California Speak. Which means that nobody said much but let me know that the vibe was bad. So, Eclipses aren't really my thing I guess. Here goes with some weird stuff. It looks like the basic thing to notice is that the Eclipse is a New Moon at 10 Leo and if you have anything prominent in your chart at 10 Fixed the vibe is bad (not really, only if you have a natal Grand Square, almost always these things are mixed bags). So, go ahead, freak yourself out. I suspect that on a Personal Level Solar Eclipses work at a person's Heart Strings and Lunar Eclipses pluck away at their Subconsciousnesses. Whatever planet this thing lands on in your chart is going to get stirred up. If you were cooking a pot of soup, you wouldn't mind the stirring, so maybe you should think of life in that way. I'm a willful person who likes to evolve from the inside out so change from the outside in is unbelievably unpleasant for me. You might enjoy the ride, though. Look for trines and poo to ease the load.

I'm having trouble finding a chart set to UTC time already so I was going to look at the Eclipse according to Greenwich Time but I suspect that there's an hour difference. Geez, I better find my SolarFire program this week-end or else. For some reason people look at Eclipse charts according to where they are. But Eclipses don't come to you. You either go to them or you don't even know they're happening because you don't ever look up at the sky. I have 3 planets in Leo and even I know I'm not the Center of everyone else's universe. What's the matter with the astrologers. This particular Eclipse begins over Canada and rides up over the Arctic and down into Russia and then ends in China. It culminates over a point just as it hits mainland Russia at 10:21:08 UT. The Path begins in Canada at 8:04:06, UTC, then an umbra (whatever the hell that is) begins at 9:21:07 UT, passes over the North, across to Russia and ends in China 11:21:28 UT. How's that for some Torch Passing for the Olympics? Pretty interesting that this Eclipse is becoming known as "The China Olympic Total Solar Eclipse." So, there's a space of a few hours on August 1 when the Eclipse will be viewable at its peak from these locations.

Sorry to steal the Chinese People's Thunder but I immediately thought of something negative: How interesting that this is said to probably be the Summer that the Polar Ice cap completely melts during the Summer. And Lo-Behold, a Firey Leo Solar Eclipse is here to make it all possible. The Sun rules Leo and the Sun melts things. Interesting metaphor here I guess regarding Man's ability to create through the use of Fire. Somebody should have told Prometheus to tell Man how to control the Flames a little bit better.

The Eclipse is sort of a little bit like George Bush viewing the Hurricane Katrina victims from Air Force One. One last pass of Pluto in Sagittarius, the sign which most Polar Bears are born under, and they're done for. So unbelievably sad.

I looked at the Chart. At least I hope I looked at the right chart. This one has 10 Leo Sun and Moon. Try as I might I can't say what is the correct time for the Ascendant. 10:21 UT is the time of Culmination. It is interesting to look at astrolocality charts to see where tensions in this chart may show up in the World. With Neptune conjunct the North Node in this chart it seems that Water, WAter all around might be a theme. The Lunar Eclipse on Aguust 16 (only partial) that's coming up will be conjunct this. Don't shoot any Albatrosses during the next couple of years (read Coleridge's Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner for info on what happens). This might be the peak of the weather flooding hell or it might just be when the flood gates break. Sorry to the Chinese and NBC who just want to have a good Olympics.

This chart is specific to the town of Nadym, Russia so don't if it applies to the rest of the World. I'm sure that the Eclipse could not give one hoot about what is Universal Time though.

I'm going to point out some specifics of this chart and if it applies to you and yours, Blessed Be.

First of all, what an awesome chart for Entertainment and the Arts. This is going to be the Best Olympics Ever. Leo rules Games after all. Here we have Venus 25 Leo opposing Neptune 23 Aquarius. The U.S. is gonna whip everyone's Ass, that's all I'm saying here. Go Bears!!! Wait, I didn't go to that school. There's an interesting twist to the Uranus-Neptune mutual reception in this chart as both planets are Singletons. Neptune is Singleton Air and Uranus is Singleton Water. In terms of the Arts that pretty nice. In terms of the planet it looks kind of like a good time to get on a rocket ship and get the Hell out of here.

Jupiter is also a Singleton in this Chart as it's the only planet in Cardinal Signs. It is trining Mars 19 Virgo and is also trining Saturn 8 Virgo. Mars-Jupiter is great for competition and athletics. This might be a good signature overall for Politics as Jupiter and Saturn working together are great political forces on the social level. Interesting situation for a Presidential Election. Trines are awesome, Trines are Great but man they can cause problems if they make people lax or unrealistic. At any rate, we won't have many outer planet trines coming up for the next few years so this Eclipse is going to have to hold us all on its lonesome for quite a while.

So, then there's one last aspect in this chart I'll look at. That's Mars 19 Virgo opposite Uranus 23 Pisces. Every chart I've looked at has had this opposition passing over an angle during the time of Eclipse. At the time of culmination it has just passed over the IC/MC axis. Uranus is in the 3d House and Mars in the 9th. That's great for Scientific Innovations, for exciting experiences. It could also show earthquakes and Volcanos, especially with Uranus making its first widely orbed square to Pluto. Socially it might indicate Rebellion. Will be interesting to see what happens to the media, newspapers, internet. Would be interesting to follow the News to see if events of this Summer experience follow up events first when Mars transits forward and hits whatever angle it has just past. And then if Uranus follows later. I've noticed that both planets tend to hit suddenly and within a week of exact orb. Astrologers should check to see if this applies to their local are (Mars-Uranus opposition just past an angle in the Eclipse chart set for their area). Then check an ephemeris for dates when Mars and Uranus will hit the angles.

I own Bernadette Brady's book The Eagle and the Lark and have read parts of her Chapter on using Eclipses for Prediction. She uses them to watch cycles through time. Each Eclipse belongs to a 19 year Saros Cycle which Brady gives an interpretation for. Unfortunately the book is in storage so I can't look at it. Brady has a website and forum. Maybe cool place to check out right about now.

This Eclipse belongs to Saros Cycle 126 which began on Mar. 10, 1179 and will end on May 3, 2459. The last Eclipse of this cycle was on July 22, 1990 so if one is old one can think back to that time and try to compare to this time. I checked Wikipedia for information about Nadym, Russia. Nadym is in Northern Russia close to the beautiful Gulf of Ob (I'm not kidding, that's its name) which is maybe in or near Mongolia. It's an Oil Town (Pisces Sun Town, I'm not kidding, only a Pisces would look at the shores of the Gulf of Ob and say "how beautiful") that's probably getting a little boost in its Tourist industry right now. And it's going through its Jupiter Return and will soon celebrate a Nodal Return that is in a Grand Trine with Saturn and Pluto in its chart. Saturn and Pluto are trining its natal Venus-Jupiter trine. Nadym has been around for a really long time but was incorporated (or whatever you call it in Russian) on:

Odysseus' Homecoming On A Solar Eclipse?

Scholars have published a study pinpointing the return of the Homeric Hero Odysseus from the Trojan War and from his Travels. They say this could have happened during an Aries Solar Eclipse on Apr. 16, 1178 BC. (Day after Tax Day.)

From a New York Times article by John Noble Wilford "Homecoming of Odysseus May Have Been in Eclipse:"

Although an eclipse is not mentioned anywhere in the story, there are omens and what Plutarch inferred was a poetic description of a total solar eclipse. Odysseus has arrived home, disguised in beggar’s rags and in hiding before revealing himself. It happens that, when Penelope’s persistent suitors sit down for a noontime meal, they start laughing uncontrollably and see their food spattered with blood.

At this strange moment, the seer Theoclymenus foretells their death, ending with the sentence, “The Sun has been obliterated from the sky, and an unlucky darkness invades the world.”

There are reasons to think that the darkness of a total eclipse had just fallen on Ithaca. It was close to noon when the 1178 eclipse occurred over the Ionian Sea. It was, as mentioned several times in the story, at the time of a new moon, which the scientists point out is “a necessary condition for a solar eclipse.” And what better atmospherics to accompany a prophecy of doom than a total eclipse, which was considered an ill omen?

Experts on Homer have previously discounted such conjecture. For one thing, the earliest verified eclipse records are in the eighth century B.C., about the time Homer was writing but long after the action in what is known as the Trojan War, around the early 12th century B.C. Scholars say there is no evidence supporting a view at the time, widely quoted, that “a solar eclipse may mark the return of Odysseus.”

In their report, Dr. Baikouzis and Dr. Magnasco acknowledged the speculative nature of their study, several times throwing in their own caveats. “The notion that the passage could refer not just to an allegorical eclipse used by the poet for literary effect but actually to a specific historical one,” they agreed, “seems unlikely because it would entail the transmission through oral tradition of information about an eclipse occurring maybe five centuries before the poem was cast in the form we know today.”

The two scientists derived a possible chronology from astronomical references in the story, including the stars by which Odysseus navigated, the sighting of Venus just before dawn as he arrives at Ithaca, and the new moon on the night before the massacre of the suitors and the presumed eclipse.

On the basis of their analysis, the scientists said, these three “references ‘cohere,’ in the sense that the astronomical phenomena pinpoint the date of 16 April 1178 B.C.,” adding, “The odds that purely fictional references to these phenomena (so hard to satisfy simultaneously) would coincide by accident with the only eclipse of the century are minute.

Also interesting is that Odysseus was away from home for 19 years, that's an entire cycle of the Moon's Nodes.

Solar Fire is just so awesome:

Total Solar Eclipse
Apr. 16, 1178 BC 10:13 am Ancient Ithaca (I used Athens, Greece)

Sun 15 Aries; Moon 15 Aries; ASC 6 ASC; NN 9 Aries; MC 15 Pisces

The Sun-Moon-NN conjunction is in the 10th House. Guess that's a sign that the Lord of the Home has returned. They are squaring Pluto in the 7th House. Lord had to kill his Wife's suitors.

This is a really significant time for the Outer Planets. Jupiter and Saturn were in conjunction over the Taurus-Gemini cusp. I wonder if they were known at this point. I think this is the Star that led the Wisemen to Jesus a couple of millenia later. They were squaring Uranus. Uranus was also opposing Neptune in the 3d-9th House pretty close to the IC/MC.

Exciting part is that Pluto was in Capricorn so it is now about to have a return for that time. On this particular Eclipse it was at 10 Capricorn.

So the Trojan War may have started 19 years earlier than that. I counted back 19 years on SolarFire to 1197. Pluto was at 8 Sagittarius at that point and there was again a Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Libra which was separating (Apr. 16).

Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions are said to show social upheaval so it would be really interesting to think that the Trojan War started during one of these conjunctions. It would also mean that the Trojan Horse was a terrorist contraption of a Pluto in Sagittarius transit. Now we know where to look for Osama. The symbolism is totally awesome as Sagittarius is half horse/half man.

Oh, and Odysseus' Loyal Dog who had waited all those years for his Master to return? He recognized Odysseus in his beggar's clothes and then died right after seeing him. The Dog is even indicated in this chart! Sagittarius is intercepted in the 6th House of pets so the House was very big. Scorpio is on the cusp and the ruler of the House is Pluto (Death) which was conjunct the Capricorn (Old) Descendant and squaring the Sun-Moon-Node!

There's no way this chart could be correct but it sure is fun to look at. I really have to figure how to add them to this blog.

Jerome Kerviel

Jerome Kerviel is the French Rogue Trader who just lost the Bank he worked for $7 Billion Dollars. Okay, so George Bush can do this for the U.S. in a day over in Iraq, no biggee. I looked at the chart anyway. Found some stuff that might be useful.

The most recent news is that the bank, Societe Generale, is thought to be partly to blame for entertaining a very competitive, risk taking environment and not keeping track of its Traders. Big Whoop, Saturn was in Leo, what do you expect? Also, another bit of news was that Kerviel has recently suffered two major losses. His Father died in 2006 and he has recently separated from his wife.

Kerviel's "unauthorized" trading began at the end of 2006. It's interesting to notice that in August, 2006 Kerviel was having his Saturn Return just as the Saturn-Neptune opposition was moving into place. That's a tough transit to go through just as you "lose" your "Father." But opposite the Neptune, eek.

I also checked for Lilith's placement as I know that in mythology she had some problems with death and grieving and holding grudges. Here she is placed in Taurus (Banking) conjunct Kerviel's Jupiter. Am not sure how to interpret her but this as well as a possible conjunction between Moon and Pluto may show some difficult emotional/feminine energies that struggle with loss more than average.

Kerviel could do what he did because he had worked for so long in the back office. I don't understand the working of legal bank trading let alone illegal bank trading but do recognize that a "back office" and "unassuming" character is a Neptunian theme as is "Fraud". It's also a Scapegoat theme, the card which Kerviel is playing right now. He was being rewarded for making the company money, even if assuming risk (Saturn in Leo), so I guess they are in part to blame (Saturn & Neptune word).

Kerviel's chart cycles show a Saturn Return, a Jupiter Opposition and a Uranus trine while he was committing his crimes. These planets are linked by aspect in his natal chart in the Resource Houses of Risk taking Leo (Saturn), Banking Taurus (Jupiter) and Investments (Uranus). All 3 Planets were in aspect to natal planets and were being hit by t.Neptune and prog. Sun as well. The broader nature of all the outer planets chiming in so well together explains the extreme nature of the crime.

The Saturn-Neptune opposition transit hooks into Kerviel's natal chart by transit but also because he has a natal trine between the two planets (Neptune in Sagittarius). He naturally knows how to use that energy. Also, his progressed Sun has been traveling 21-23 Aquarius so it has been within conjunction-opposition of that Saturn-Neptune opposition.

Venus and Taurus also rule money and Banking themes so I took a look at those. Venus here is in Pisces. That again shows a style of handling money which is not direct and which somehow works beyond the normal boundaries. I believe this is the biggest Bank Fraud case in history. Jupiter is his only planet in Taurus. It is Retrograde and is strongly linked with his Saturn (so involved in the Saturn-Neptune opposition as well). It is parallel Saturn and both planets are Retrograde and in Fixed, Resource signs. Jupiter and Saturn working together can give one a great, broad sense of social rhythms, for good or bad.

Saturn is also squaring Uranus in Scorpio in this chart and Jupiter was passing over natal Uranus just at this time.

Kerviel was caught for making unauthorized trades on Jan. 19, 2008. His Solar Return Chart for 2007 shows a Sun-Venus Rx conjunction and a Grand Fixed Square between Mars 15 Taurus opposition Jupiter Scorpio which was squaring Saturn Leo opposite Neptune Aquarius, all on top of his natal planets. He was about 6 months out of his exact Saturn opposition.

It's interesting that another Rogue Trader, Nick Leeson, who completely tanked the British bank he was working for back in 1995, was caught for his hanky panky back on Jan 16, 1995. This shows the Sun in close to the same spot of Capricorn (Authorities, Guilt). Also interesting is the fact that Saturn (Authorities, Guilt) on that day was at 10 Pisces, very close to opposition of Saturn's placement for when Kerviel was caught on Jan. 19, 2008. I'm not much into Sabian Symbols but it would be interesting to check out the interpretations for these degrees. Mostly I think this is just a symptom of the end of Saturn's ambitious transits through risk taking Leo and enterprising Aquarius.

Do the Walk of Love

Eunice Lopez is an enterprising woman. At Age 26 she has eeked out a living by marrying men who wanted citizenship. Apparently she has married at least 10 guys, maybe as many as 17. She did it all starting in 2002 when she arrived in the U.S. from Cuba. Her last known Altar Walk was in 2006. The story is told here: http://www.miamiherald.com/news/miami_dade/story/345576.html. There's a cute comment about how she seems to have preferred the months of June and November for marriage. Perhaps the Saturn-Pluto opposition in Gemini and Sagittarius had something to do with this, God only knows.

If she's 26, then Eunice was probably born in 1981. That would be a good year for some obsessive behaviors regarding marriage and partnerships because Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto were all in Libra, the sign that rules those subjects. 1981 kicked off with a conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in early Libra and towards the end of the year Jupiter hit Pluto in late Libra.

Maybe the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction is most appropriate because the Mrs. was arrested by the Police last Wednesday (2:35am Palm Beach) during another Jupiter-Pluto conjunction. That gives the Arrest Chart a 23 degree Libra Rising with ruler Venus in the 1st House. This matches the 1981 conjunction of Jupiter to Pluto which was at 25 Libra.

These guessing games are stupid. The News keeps saying that they figured her out by running her name and her birth date. They give her name but they leave out the birth date. Drives me nuts.

You Think You Had It Bad

What if you had Augusta and Randy Roman for parents? If you had them for parents you wouldn't even be born yet and they'd have been fighting over you for the last 5 years. Mr. and Mrs. Roman have a set of 3 embryos frozen up like succotash in a laboratory in Texas where they've been languishing since at least April, 2002. Randy decided at the last minute that he didn't want to go ahead with the in vitro fertilization procedure that the couple had planned. They went through 16 months of therapy and then decided to divorce over this because Augusta wants the babies, er, embryos. Man, think of all the Christmases these kids are missing. They'd practically be in kindergarten by now. Are they just sitting there like 3 little pickles? This is easily the most stressful childhood I've ever heard of.

Augusta was 46 on May 31, 2007 and is now 47 on Nov. 1, 2007 so just to be gross I'm going to guess that she was born between June 1, 1961 and Oct. 31, 1961. Man, I'm routin for the Halloween Birth date because this has "Boo!" written all over it. Why doesn't she tank a fifth of Jack Daniels, go into a bar, find some guy and get it over with? I've seen Randy on the News, he's no great shakes. There was a conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Capricorn that Augusta may have in her birth chart. Capricornian Paternity fight anyone?

The couple was going to try for an April, 2002 fertilization implant. They initially had 13 embryos and now there are only 3. Are the other ten dead? Did the Radiator Lady step on them? Where am I? And when you look at the planets you know where Augusta is. April 2002 was right around the time of Augusta's Uranus opposition and Neptune square. That's right. Uranus/Neptune. She's orbiting. Physically at this age you can still get pregnant, but mentally something's starting to unscrew itself...

The embryos were awarded to Augusta in 2004 during the Divorce proceedings but I guess she didn't have them installed. Hard to get pregnant with all this bickering. These two year increments seem like Mars Return issues or slow Court system, take your pick. There's all kinds of cycles these two could be hooking into.

2 years later, guess 2006, a judge reversed the initial decision in favor of Randy who wants to discard the embryos. Augusta had signed a contract saying that she would not use the embryos in event of divorce. Come on Augusta. Go Organic. You could put a wick in these kids and use them to repel mosquitoes at this point. (Don't mean to be cold here, but, am I really the one being cold here?)

According to one website I looked at (sorry no link) these fights are common; there are 190,000 embryos "in legal limbo" because their parents can't agree on what to do with them. In the end it is thought that this type of lawsuit will overturn Roe v. Wade if it is decided that the embryos are living beings.

The Implant Doctor said there was about a 10 percent chance that the Romans' implantation would work so I think Augusta needs a good astrologer to explain the Uranus-Neptune thing. Boy, it's tough. I don't blame her. Life just really sucks. Maybe the kids have the right idea.
