Melissa Huckaby and the Columbine Shooters?

The whole idea of Motherhood is getting turned on his head by society these days. Is this a Pluto in Capricorn thing? Cancer and the Moon rule Motherhood and Capricorn is the opposing sign. We're getting a reality check here. And actually what we're getting is a cleansing because women have been doing this kind of thing for as far back as Lilith (at least). I wonder if the husband or the oldest son just ended up taking the blame or what. (Ever since I heard a really great lecture about Lilith at UAC in Denver last year I've been wanting to study her more. Sorry, I've forgotten the speaker's name, a German astrologer, will have to find that...)

I've found a tentative date for Melissa Huckaby's birth date and can't vouch for its accuracy. I think the website I got it from is called "websleuths.?" Melissa Huckaby is the 28 year old Mother who has been arrested for the abduction, murder and possible molestation of 8 year old Sandra Cantu in Tracy, California.

Sun 6 Pisces; Moon Libra or Scorpio; NN 10 Leo

It seems that Huckaby might be a Pisces Sun just because she has those water eyes. Her Sun here would be conjunct Mars at 14 Pisces and squaring Uranus at 1 Sagittarius. That could explain an erratic, excitable personality. Of course, she's going through a Divorce and that over any chart of any type will encourage erratic behaviors and feelings of anger in a person.

I don't want to go on and on about Huckaby's chart until there's more solid information but what struck me last night as I was reading the newspaper was the reminder of the 10th anniversary of the Columbine Shootings. I looked up the charts of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold and was struck that they were both born in 1981. That's the same year as Melissa Huckaby. That was the year that Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto were all in Libra.

First it's good to whittle down the chart to notice that all 3 of these people had/have strong Mars aspects in their natal charts to indicate that they might be either loaded with Mars vitality and life force or impulsiveness, rashness, and a tendency to anger, depending on their situations in life.

• Harris was an Aries Sun conjunct Mars and Venus and opposing Pluto. That's classic school shooter stuff at this point which is totally unfair to say to all the zillions of people who were born on this day and don't go ballistic at the drop of a hat (I apologize to the zillions, but it keeps coming up).

• Klebold had a conjunction of Mars to the North Node.

• Huckaby has a natal Sun-Mars conjunction squaring Uranus.

Depending on their birth times all three may have strong Moon-Pluto contacts if their Moons are at or very close to the end of the Air Signs in their charts.

All three of these people were born with a Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Libra. This is hardly what I imagine a Killer aspect to be. As a matter of fact it seems to be a very social, peace and harmony kind of aspect. They are setting precedents within the social structures of society with their crimes. What stands out is that both Jupiter and Saturn would have then passed over Pluto very early in their lives. That's a lot of outer planet activity (social knowledge) for a little baby to input and could have caused major stress or "trigger" points for later transits in babies born that year who didn't receive any resolve. Jupiter-Pluto can bring too much of something. That would have happened between Age 6 mos and 9 mos. And then Saturn-Pluto can take it all away or bring some kind of ruthless, unfair loss at around Age 1 1/2 in these people's cases. As Pluto tends to bring crises perhaps there is a non-stop memory of crisis that these people couldn't work out of their systems from very early life. I'm not looking up exact dates as Pluto transits tend to have long after effects, in adults at any rate. A person might later on in life react to circumstances that are out of his personal control (outer planet aspects create a need to deal with the world on a larger scale) with an elevated sense of some kind.

These are very strong outer planet contacts are difficult for an adult to digest, let alone a baby. It seems that perhaps if this stress isn't acknowledged and healed by any of the adults around the child then later transits would set it off when hitting that spot in their charts. That certainly seems to be what happens here but through unexpected trine outer planet transits in Aquarius that hit natal Pluto at the end of Libra. Uranus at 24 Aquarius would have trined Harris and Klebold's Pluto and Neptune would have trined Huckaby's at the times of their crimes (alleged crimes).

Since I don't have birth times for any of these people I don't know where their Moon placements are, but there is a chance that all 3 had Moon in Air Signs that would have been in strong aspect to Pluto, either a trine or conjunction. So, their Moons would have been involved. Moon-Pluto aspects are certainly very complex from an emotional stand-point. The child's feelings may have to be suppressed to very deep levels in reaction to insecurities in the Mother/family.

A stressed Moon would make sense as major motivators in these crimes as Moon Cycles were activated at the times of their crimes. Harris was 18 and approaching his Nodal Return and Huckaby is 28, time around the Secondary Progressed Moon Return. Klebold's major expression seems to come through feelings of being lost and rejected and a sense of the futility of it all. At least that's how I read the negative side of his Virgo Sun square Neptune. Interesting that he had 5 planets in Libra opposing Harris' Sun-Mars-Venus in the opposite side of Aries. That's a classic pair by astrological standards.

The Nodal Placements of the natal and transiting crime event charts also stand out here. Harris and Huckaby were born about a month and a half apart from each other and both had North Node within 2 degrees of each other in Leo. Columbine happened on Apr. 20, 1999 when Harris was approaching a Nodal Return in Leo. Sandra Cantu went missing when the North Node was at 7 Aquarius (a Nodal opposition) when Huckaby was going through a Nodal Opposition. I remember someone making a comment on one of my posts concerning one of the school shooters from a few years back about Leo North Node being common among the school shooters.

Dylan Klebold was born with North Node at 30 Cancer so it was just moved off the Leo-Aquarius Axis by a degree but still affected by that energy as North Node was conjunction Mars 7 Leo (and squaring Venus 29 Libra-Pluto 23 Libra).

Another similarity: there was a Mars-Saturn opposition during both crimes. And there was a difficult Venus-Pluto aspect as well. Venus-Pluto opposition in Columbine and Venus-Pluto square in the Cantu murder.

Columbine happened while the Sun was at 1 Taurus conjunction Saturn 6 Taurus and opposing Mars 6 Scorpio. (this would have squared the 1981 placement for Pluto making it extra potent for people born that year).

The Mars-Saturn opposition of the Cantu murder was actually a Mars Return for alleged murderer Melissa Huckaby. It was extra powerful for her because it hit her natal Sun and squared her natal Uranus. The Sun-VenusRx in Aries conjunction would have opposed Huckaby's Jupiter-Saturn conjunction. Venus Rx is continuing this long transit opposing her Jupiter-Saturn conjunction. And it's in square aspect to transiting Pluto. The transiting Aries Moon may have been opposing her natal Pluto and/or Moon as well.

Johannes Mehserle, BART Police Shooter

Johannes Mehserle is the ex-Oakland BART Train police officer who killed a hand cuffed man in the back on New Year's Day. I wrote about the incident a few days ago. Mehserle has been charged with Murder and has surrendered to Oakland Police.

Can't vouch for its accuracy, but Mahalo.com and a SFGate.com article have listed a birth date for Mehserle. The chart is really incredible from an Astrological point of view. According to that website and the article which is available at this link:

Sun 16 Capricorn; Moon most likely Capricorn; NN 11 Leo

If this is correct, Mehserle was 3 degrees away from his Solar Return. And the Solar Return would involve a conjunction of the Sun to Mars and Pluto. According to the SFGate article, the shooting happened, Mehserle's wife gave birth to a Son and Mehserle had a Birthday. Wow. Mars can indicate violence, but it can also indicate having a Son.

If this birth date is correct, Mehserle is a Double Capricorn. On bad days this can indicate an overbearing streak and authoritarian attitude. On the other end of the Capricorn spectrum, this can indicate a heavy Karmic side involving intense lessons concerning guilt and shame, difficult lessons. Capricorns tend to have to play by the rules because they often can't get away much. The Leo North Node could repeat the Bossiness theme and Mars conjunct South Node could further emphasize this along with an impulsive streak that acts before it thinks.

Chiron squares the Nodes and Mars. This indicates some kind of wounding wound up in one's destiny with fighting and aggression. The Mars energy and the Saturn energy in this chart seem to have found a common ground in the police profession but in this case they are bringing out each other's bad side.

Mehserle's chart has two conjunctions which are exact to the degree: Venus-Neptune in Sagittarius and Jupiter-Saturn in Libra. These are pretty friendly aspects overall. The Venus-Neptune could get carried away especially in Sagittarius. Mehserle may have had a little bit of a hang over from too much partying the night before. The (natal) Jupiter-Saturn conjunction is conjunct the 12th house cusp to the degree of the event chart (Placidus). Jupiter-Saturn represents Society on a Social Level and its placement in Libra, sign of Diplomacy and Peace Making, is pretty bizarre. 12th House, though, represents Self-Undoing, Institutions like Jail and Martyrdom so perhaps this particular event seems to have brought out a streak of this. Mehserle's refusal to speak infuriated the public which has evolved into rioting on at least two occasions. 12th House often simply can't explain its actions.

Mehserle is caught in a lot of Cyclic Return activity. He is probably just past his 2dary Progressed Lunar Return and is heading in to his Saturn Return. This is significant since both his Sun and Moon disposit to Saturn. He is also going through his Nodal Opposition, a time of extreme confusion and having one's world turned upside down. If this is a true birth date this chart is really amazing because the Nodal Axis for the event was crossing the IC/MC axis which represents opposition between the Public and Authority. Interesting that these points are represented by the Moon and Saturn in one's chart as well. And the chart shows someone with strong Saturn-Moon contacts.

If Mehserle were born early in the day his Moon would have been getting hit by the Sun-Mars-Pluto transiting conjunction on the Aries Point. That's a highly emotional aspect. Bob Marks, who has done extensive research on the astrology of murderers, has pointed out the significance of Mars-Moon combination in violence. (www.bobmarksastrologer.com) He has also found how common Capricorn Moon is in murderers (which isn't the best news for those of us who have the natal aspect ourselves.)

I've listened to Malcolm Gladwell's book (either Tipping Point or Blink, can't remember) where Gladwell discusses research that has examined a sort of Mars-Moon-Pluto hormone effect in police officers which can lead to brutality. There's a chemical reaction that can happen which causes them to go into some sort of brutality mode if not checked. Astrology sure would have been useful to the police department in this case because Mehserle was in line to completely lose it around these dates.

Also interesting is the mutual Venus-Neptune conjunctions between the natal chart and the event chart. The conjunction in the natal chart is in Sagittarius and is in Aquarius in the event chart in the 4th house. Venus in the event chart rules the 7th House so I associated it with the Victim, Oscar Grant, but it certainly looks like the killer is indicated as well. These aren't planets I would associate with committing police brutality unless it's through some sort of gas or inaudible, invisible vibe. What's even more interesting is the fact that they both square the Uranus placement of the other. Mehserle's natal Venus-Neptune is apex to a t-square of the Saturn-Uranus opposition. One possible explanation could be the amount of video filming that was done at the event and the Internet "conviction" by the public.

The natal chart shows an unaspected Uranus in Scorpio indicating that for Mehserle, impulse and shock run deep and can bring on crises. Uranus is in a sign for 7 years so this is a generational planet showing general social consciousness. in this chart the Uranus energy can't flow with the rest of the planets of the chart so sudden crises could tend to ball up for this guy (if this is his chart). Progressed Mars is now squaring this Uranus which heightens the volatility and impulsiveness for Mehserle over the next few years. His nervous system will be under assault something which a double Capricorn already would struggle with due to deep perceptual abilities and difficult self-expression. Hopefully, he is not living with the rest of the prisoners in the jail.

By some sort of coincidence I was reminded here of the Stanford Prison Experiment which I studied on this blog a while back. This case for me seems to be about uncontrollable rage and police brutality rather than racism and this is what the Stanford experiment was about. A psychologist at Stanford University hired ordinary men to conduct a study on behaviors that occurred within a prison environment. Half were assigned roles as prisoners and half were assigned roles as prison guards and they all knew they were play acting their roles. Within a day the prisoners were rioting. The experiment, originally planned to last 14 days, was ended after 6 because the prison guards abused their authoritarian roles and became abusive.

I compared the charts between the New Year's incident and didn't find any significant similarities at first. But, I did find similarities between Mehserle's supposed birth chart and the Stanford experiment transits. The Leo-Aquarius nodal axis shows up in his natal chart and the Stanford Prison Experiment which took place between Aug. 14 and Aug. 20, 1971.

The NN for the Stanford Prison Experiment was at 15 Aquarius conjunct Mars 17 Aquarius Rx. This Nodal Axis is on the IC/MC of The BART Station shooting with NN at 10 Aquarius.
And Mehserle's Nodal Axis was on top of this. And he was going through his Nodal Opposition.

To add fuel to the fire, so to speak, Mehserle's natal Mars is at 5 Aquarius conjunct his South Node is at 11 Aquarius (NN at 11 Leo) which adds the violent streak.

(The Sun was conjunct Venus in the Stanford Prison Experiment and this was passing over the South Node at the time of the Stanford Prison Experiment.)

I talked about Mehserle's "alleged" (might as well use that word) volatile Uranus in Scorpio at 29 degrees. In alignment with that point, there was a huge transit aspect during The Stanford Prison experiment with Jupiter 30 Capricorn conjunct Neptune 1 Sagittarius and opposing Saturn at 6 Gemini. The Moon was in Taurus and passing through Gemini during the beginning days of the experiment so was setting off those points.

(If the Stanford Prison Experiment had been conducted during a Jupiter-Neptune trine maybe the prisoners would have gotten along.)

At any rate, going even further, way too far probably, down the line, we can look at the publication date for The Lord of the Flies. This book deals with the same type of brutality. It was published in 1954 while the NN was in Capricorn. This means that it was probably being written 1-2 years before while the NN was in Aquarius. Good time to observe the behaviors of people abusing authority in mass group settings, I guess.

In conclusion, all I can say is, boy, the Police really need to pay attention to Mars transits.

Your First Trines + Nodal Cycle

On my Trine Quest I decided to ferret out the ages we are when we go through our first Trine (applying). That is, the approximate age that we are when an Outer Planet trines our natal Planet. I just wanted to have a chart to visualize how these planetary energies fan out in our lives as they do in the sky.

The Trine is hopefully a time when we can capitalize on the talents that were presented at the first Sextile and the Challenges that we had to work through when presented with our First Square. As Retrogrades and oddball orbs shorten and lengthen each individual's personal cycle the Ages are approximate. Jupiter and Saturn, of course, represent how our Age Group handles the energy. The Outer Planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto represent how our Generation handles those energies. And, of course, everyone's got their individualized software of each planet spelled out according to their birth chart.

One interesting coincidence I've found is that the Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus trines correspond approximately with the Nodal Cycle. It seems that the trines could come in handy for balancing out the difficult transits of the Nodal Cycle. God works in mysterious ways. I've added Nodal Cycles in parentheses.

1st Jupiter Trine: slightly less than Age 4 (1st Nodal Square)

1st Saturn Trine: around Age 9 (1st Nodal Opposition/Inversion)

1st Uranus Trine: around Age 28 (2d Nodal Opposition/Inversion plus 1st Progressed Moon Return and 1st Tertiary Sun Return!! -- what can I say? Uranus likes a crowd)

1st Neptune Trine: around Age 54.7

1st Pluto Trine: very irregular. People who are Middle Age now have experienced Pluto transits much sooner than their parents and grandparents. This comes before the Neptune Trine now but I think it happened very close to the Neptune trine for earlier generations with Pluto in Gemini and Cancer.

Hollywood Writer's Strike

Sigh. It's the middle of the night and all my Magic TV boyfriends are in re-runs. No Leno. No Letterman. No Fergusson. No Conan. This is why Stephen Colbert had to cut short his Political Campaign for President!!!! Hollywood's writers are striking for the first time since 1988. At that point the Industry was crippled for 5 1/2 months. I didn't have a TV back then so I don't remember it personally, but I believe the strike occurred March to August, 1988. What kind of cyclic Hell is this? Hmmm, that's slightly less than 20 years -- a Nodal Return? Yup. The North Node was in Pisces, sign of the Film Industry and Hollywood and Glamour and the South Node was in Virgo, one of the signs of Writers and of Labor Unions.

Also currently in Virgo, we've got Saturn who, according to Rex Bills, is co-ruler of Labor and Labor Unions. And just in its infancy is an opposition from Saturn to Uranus in Pisces. Uranus rules Strikes (along with H12, Scorpio, H6). We can see the beginnings of this in other more important events, it seems to not just be a problem for Hollywood. Many countries across the Globe are in Military Lock-Down due to people protesting against their Governments. Pakistan, Myanmar, Venezuela, and of course the Middle East. The U.S. ought to be protesting its Government but we're so flacid at this point there's nothing'll get us off the couch. Well, you take our Comedy Talk Shows away, we might get a little peeved. As the Stock Market has begun to sink I'm also remembering the big Stock Market crash that happened in Oct. 1987. And then when we look at the outer planet transits we see some ugly similarities... Gawd, Good Thing that Anderson Cooper can ad-lib on his own.

First of all, we can't blame this on some inner planet retrograde. We're just coming out of Mercury Rx and going into Mars Rx so I thought maybe this is so. Just a blip and Leno will be back by next Monday and the market is only tanking because the Hollywood Writers are selling some stocks to tide themselves over. But another possible connection is the Saturn-Uranus opposition that is just forming now. Currently it is in the same sign as the Nodes, Virgo and Pisces and it's more long term.

Back in March, 1988, Saturn and Uranus were in conjunction in Capricorn and Rx'd back into Sagittarius at the spot where Pluto is right now. Jupiter will be in conjunction at this spot also in December. This certainly shows a Mutable Sign emphasis without Gemini's sweet presence. The lead sign for Writers and Contracts is missing from the equation.

Contracts are co-ruled by Libra the Negotiators. Get us some Libras fast!! Shoot, Libra Dennis Kucinich tried to oust Cheney this week but failed. And No One around to make us laugh about it before the Tylenol PM knocks us out at night.

Boy, I don't know ... Pluto is going to be joining Saturn & Uranus in 2010. Who needs Hollywood writers when "Mad Max" is running through your own backyard for real?

Scholarly Love - Abelard & Heloise

For years I've been running across the correspondence of Abelard and Heloise in bookstores and never knew much about them except that they are held up as examples of True Love. Now, of course, I am drawn to them. I have a dark sense of humor and I'm a bruised "Child of Divorce" so I know I'm looking through a darker lense than most with this True Love stuff, but, man, it can be a real drag. And, I assure you, Abelard if not Heloise would agree with me.

Instantly Enlightened by the Wikipedia article on this couple and a few other Internet snippets, and, well, actually, Abelard wrote about his misfortune in Historia Calamitatum which is available on the Internet, my idiot's version of the story goes like this.

Abelard was a prodigy. The premier philospher of his day, interested in the Sciences and logic, a poet, a composer, success came very early in life for him. Back in his day, a philosophy student learned by arguing with his teachers. With almost no training Abelard managed to knock down his teachers one by one, giving lectures that surpassed their skills. He started his own school at Age 22 and drew all kinds of crowds. He peaked out around Age 36 which is around the time that he was hired to teach Heloise, a young girl with an incredible mind for ... learning. Abelard admits to seducing Heloise and she became pregnant. Abelard sent Heloise to live with his Sister in order to hide his misdeed from the public so his career wouldn't go down the tubes. While living with Sis, Heloise gave birth to a son who she called, get this, Astrolabe. The instrument that had just been brought over from Islam. Remember this is Scholarly Love and Scholars have no obligation to show good taste in choosing baby names. Astrolabe was born around 1118 from what I can gather, Heloise was maybe Age 17? Abelard maybe Age 38? Sis adopted the baby and Abelard managed to have Heloise placed in a Monastery where she was very successful as an Intellectual in her own right and as a, I forget what it's called, Abbess? At any rate, she was very smart and very competent and thrived no matter what happened to her. Abelard also went to a Monastery but somewhere in there Heloise's relatives sought revenge, dragged him by the you-know-what's and castrated him. That's right. They were pissed. So, Abelard who was a very independent soul and it seems quite "cocky" struggled forever after with the oppressive environment of the Monasteries. His Freedom and his Sex Life -- gone. He continued to be a productive Genius but was miserable ever after. And He and Heloise continued to write to each other and related on a Mental Level, which in their case existed way up high probably in the Ether.

No birth dates or even solid years for either so this is really conjectural b.s., but, just suppose...

Peter Abelard b. 1079 in Palets, 10 miles south of Brittany, France

Heloise b. 1101 in Paris (near Notre Dame), France

Hair-brained Observations:

• 1st: Abelard's got Uranus in it's own sign of Aquarius and this seems to be a strong influence. The Uranus square happens when one is around 21 and that's the age that Abelard first shocked everyone by opening his own school at such a young age. He was also 22 years older than Heloise so there seems to be some kind of Uranian connection with regards to that cycle. Plus, their Romance is considered Modern which seems Uranian. The May-December element seems more Saturnian. His Saturn could be in either Capricorn or Aquarius depending on when he was born. Chiron would have been in Aquarius as well.
  

• 2d: There's a chance that both of our Lovers had a conjunction of Saturn to their North Nodes. Abelard's in Capricorn and Heloise's in Scorpio. That sure would explain the collision with Fate; Saturn is Karma and the Nodes are Spiritual Destiny, imagine what a joy people with this conjunction have on their Nodal and Saturn Returns. The whole affair started when Abelard was around 36 and Astrolabe was born when he was around 38. This would have been a Nodal Return for Abelard. Just a thought. He is said to have reached the peak of his Fame around 1115, Age 36. Does sound Capricornian Mountain Climby. Once you get to the top, what do you do?
  

• 1st Redux. The 22 year time span thing is just interesting. It's associated with a special Venus cycle by the Mayans. It is also associated with a Sunspot Cycle (11 years, 22 years) and a Magnetic Oscillation of the Sun (22 years). But, this just sounds so Venusian. There's also a Progressed Tertiary Venus Return around this age.
  

I found a really great article by Nancy R. Fenn called "Venus Transits & Powerful Women" at www. skyscript.co.uk/venustransit.html. Ms. Fenn discusses the Love Affair of Abelard and Heloise but mostly the power of Heloise as a woman during one of these Cycles where Venus passes in front of the Sun in stead of behind it. I've discussed them briefly at "You've got it. Yeah Baby You've Got it" where I linked to another great article (nobody give a rat's ass about the link, do they?). We're in the middle of one these 8 year periods right now. Venus likes to, get this: work in pairs. The conjunctions come together, but 8 years apart. In the U.S. we are definitely enjoying an upswing of leadership by women in our otherwise cruddy Government. Bad cycle for going to War apparently.

Ms. Fenn in her article relates Heloise to the Nov. 23, 1153 conjunction as a sign of Women's empowerment through these cycles. I think there's a nasty Saturn-Pluto square that was aspecting it. Abelard was dead by then but Heloise was alive. There was a pair of Sun-Venus conjunctions in 1032 and 1040 and then the cycle missed a transit in 1145. Abelard wrote his Historia Calamitatum in 1136 in between the first and died before the "missed transit" cycle but I can't find any other correspondences between the relationship and these cycles.

Dee-Moore Murder, 1964

One heinous crime relating to the Civil Rights Movement received a small bit of Justice on August 24 as a Ku Klux Klan member was sent to jail for 3 consecutive life sentences for the murders of two 19 year old boys. The murders happened 43 years ago.

After such a long time, the crime was brought back to light. Such a boomerang effect could only be Uranus' doing. I'll use this blog to maybe show how through this case, one can see the "Reawakening" or Boomerang effect of Uranus which symbolizes Society and Collective Conscious. I'll also look at the Karmic Payback effects of the Saturn Return in this case of the Perpetrator. And I'll also look at the Nodal Return as indicator for Individual Justice for the victims. I don't have much Birth Information to go on but I'm pretty excited by how such simple return charts tell the story (in retrospect at least).

Charles Eddie Moore and Henry Hezekiah Dee, both 19, were murdered on the evening of May 2, 1964 in Meadville, Mississippi. One of their torsos was found floating in a lake by a fisherman a few days later and the rest of their body parts were slowly retrieved by authorities days later. Two Ku Klux Klan members eventually confessed to the murders, were fined $5000 with a slap on the wrist and sent home. The case was eclipsed in the media by another multiple murder of Civil Rights Activists in the area at the time and the community, family and friends were left to grieve in quiet terror for more than 40 years.

Astrologically, the mid-60s were going through a major outer planet transit as Uranus and Pluto were both transiting through Virgo and opposed by Saturn in Pisces. This aspect is now mirrored by Uranus' transit through Pisces and magnified through its conjunction with the transiting Nodes in Pisces and Virgo. The 1964 conjunction-opposition was a tough transit (Saturn and Pluto) but it is thought to be responsible for the rebellion and fight for freedom (Uranus) of the Civil Rights Movement (Uranus, Virgo-Pisces axis) at the time.

The man convicted is James Seale. Seale was born in 1936, we know not where, we care not why. But we can at least tell through the year that he has Saturn in Pisces in his natal chart. At Age 29, he would have been going through or close to going through his first Saturn Return in Pisces. What we do during our Saturn Return, the decisions we make, will often be difficult ones for us. If we make the wrong choice we will be forced to pay the piper down the road. That's the idea behind the Saturn Return, at any rate.

It's interesting that the man who committed the crime with Seale, Myron Wayne, testified against Seale in exchange for immunity. The Feds called this "Making a Pact With the Devil." This means that one perpetrator has been brought to Justice and one is running around loose. Mr. Wayne was 31 in 1964, time of the murders, and was probably not going through any major Return transits. Kind of makes me wonder if this is somehow connected to the fact that the phrase "What goes around comes around?" doesn't always apply. It also makes me think that it's better to have Saturn in Aquarius than Saturn in Pisces, natally, but it's just plain bad astrology to judge the signs so simply.

Seale and his Ku Klux Klan friends picked up two hitchhikers, Charles Eddie Moore and Henry Hezekiah Dee, tied them to a tree and beat them and then dumped them in a body of water called "The Devil's Punchbowl." (I'm just gonna keep repeating this story). They suspected that Dee was working for the Civil Rights Movement and killed Moore just for the Hell of it. The local police dropped the case in 1965 as did the Federal Investigators in 1966.

As was said before, Saturn was in Pisces both when Seale was born and when he committed the murders. Thomas Moore, brother of one of the victims, Charles Eddie Moore, began to once again investigate the case in November 1998. Saturn was at the end of Aries. That's too far past Seale's 2d Saturn Return but perhaps something else happened in the 2 years before when Saturn was in Pisces to bring up the case once again. I think there may have been a book published or something during those years which maybe brought the murders back to the public attention.

The Feds officially reopened the case in 2000 when Uranus and Neptune were both in Aquarius opposite the Murder event chart's Sun. Remember Uranus was conjunct Pluto and opposite Saturn at the time of the murder? Seale was convicted back in June of this year and as of today's sentencing, August 24, 2007, Uranus and the North Node are in Pisces at 18 and 12 degrees respectively. They are opposite the Uranus-Pluto conjunction of the crime chart. One wonders how closely Uranus and North Node are aspecting Seale's Saturn in Pisces.

The two victims were 19 when they were murdered. That means they were close to going through their Nodal Returns (in Cancer). According to an article on the Internet (link is somewhere below, article written by his brother), Charles Eddie Moore was born Aug. 10, 1944 (place?) and had a North Node of 28 Cancer so he was past his Nodal Return. I've only found a birth year of 1945 for Henry Hezekiah Dee. That means he was younger than Moore and that his birthday must have been between January and May 2, 1945 and his North Node would have been at an earlier degree in Cancer. Moore's Brother, Thomas Moore, says in his essay "I Want Justice" (www.csindy.com/csindy/2005-08-04/cover.html) that his interest in seeking Justice resurged in November, 1998. The case was officially reopened for investigation in 2000 and magically, the North Node moved into Cancer that year. It was exact to Charles Moore's North Node in April and May.

(There are a lot of other aspects to look at with regards to Moore's chart. Moore was a Leo Sun with Taurus Moon and it seems his case began to find resolve during the grand conjunction in Taurus of Saturn and Jupiter in 2000. Saturn and Jupiter working together bring change through Government. There was also a Grand Square Eclipse on his Sun in August, 1999. Moore natally had a square between Saturn and Neptune and this trial finally occurred while the Saturn-Neptune opposition was transiting very slowly over his Sun.)

I would like to comment of the chart of James Seale, convicted June 14, 2007, but can't find his birth information. He's a cagey one, that old bird. When the Federal Investigators initially tried to ask him for his birth information back in 1966, he wouldn't even give it to them so how would an Astrologer fare? Beethoven Killed By His Doctor?

Here's an article from the San Jose Mercury News discussing research containing evidence that Beethoven was slowly poisoned by his Doctor with a treatment that contained Lead. http://www.mercurynews.com/ci_6706233. Apparently Beethoven had such a difficult personality that most Doctors wouldn't treat him so he ended up with a Quack. A good lesson for us all. Be nice to yer docteur. The article studied chemical analyses of Beethoven's hair and found through growth patterns that big spikes of Lead coincided with the timing for the treatments he received.

Lead is ruled by Saturn and Saturn was transiting through Beethoven's 8th House of Death so I suppose you could leave the interpretation alone with just that information.

I believe that Capricorn/Saturn also rules the Hearing and Hearing Sensitivities and Losses. At the time of his death Beethoven's Solar Arc Saturn was conjunct his 12th house cusp, a major health house. Beethoven had 3 Planets in Capricorn in his 3d house. All 3 were receiving close conjunctions:

1. t. Neptune 17 Capricorn c. n. Pluto 17 Capricorn (both inconjunct Saturn-MC in Leo)
2. T. Uranus 28 Capricorn c. n. Venus 27 Capricorn
3. prog. Moon 5 Capricorn c. n. Jupiter 4 Capricorn (and opposite t. Saturn in H8 out of sign in Gemini)

I wanted to find the indicator that showed he was killed by his doctor. I think Scorpio Rising can only have a kindly Venusian type of treatment (Taurus on the Descendant) and good luck finding that for a Sagittarius who is in pain.

First indicator might be that Beethoven died shortly after having a Nodal Return in his 1st house. The Nodes were still passing through the 1st-7th houses of relationships with South Node at 16 Taurus were conjunct his Uranus in Taurus. As Uranus is part of the rare Grand Earth Trine of the 3 outer planets that happened the year of his birth this creates a Kite Pattern over the 1st/7th house nodes. Transiting Uranus was conjunct Venus, ruler of the sign it is placed in and also the Descendant.

The transiting Nodes were also squaring his natal Saturn-MC bringing in again the theme of Lead. It's interesting that Napoleon also had this Outer Planet Grand Square and also is thought to have been poisoned. Uranus shares this aspect with Neptune and Pluto, the two planets that rule poisoning and toxicity. Pluto rules Beethoven's chart and the sign of his North Node so is extra important in matters of health and physical body.

I'm also going to add some notes about Beethoven's Hearing Problem and Tinnitus. Coincidentally, I've found that Saturn was transiting through his 8th house also in 1796 when Beethoven's hearing began to fail. This house is ruled by Gemini/Mercury which rules the hearing. Mars is in that House, retrograde in Gemini, and very much out of bounds at 26 degrees 10' 54 N. Mars is also heavily afflicted as it opposes Moon, Sun and Mercury in Sagittarius and squares Neptune and has no easy aspects.

In 1796 I've found the following aspects which I think might help explain his problems:

1. Prog. Sun 21 Cap c. Prog. Venus RX 19 Cap. c. n. Pluto 17 Cap plus transiting South Node 17 Capricorn in 3d house.

2. transiting Pluto conjunct t. Jupiter in 4th House

3. Prog. Moon c. t. Neptune over Scorpio Ascendant

4. T. Saturn passing through 8th House over natal Mars Rx/Prog. Mars Rx.

5. Also in 1796 there was a long Mars Retrograde Transit over the Cusp between Capricorn and Sagittarius on Beethoven's 3d house cusp.

Emil Nolde

As the Sun is Shining in Leo right now and I want to celebrate a few Leos because, of course, they are Magnificent. Leo likes a Beginning, and a Middle and an Ending because that creates Drama. Leo likes spectacle so often it has been relegated to pop or folk music. And they have an incredible sense of play and warmth (and orneriness) which I think is missing from modern art. But, back in the day...well, think of Picasso who had Leo Rising. He produced huge amounts of work often trying to emulate the innocence of children in his art.

Emil Nolde is one of my favorite German Expressionist artists. He was your basic Bold Leo. He sort of took the idea of expressiveness to the max with wild brush strokes, heavy paint, loud colors, everyone and everything in his paintings looked like a hooker. There was no sense of order especially in the early oils, or spatial depth or perspective in his paintings. His figures are dancing around naked and in your face, as avant-garde and progressive as one could have created. I'm sorry that I still don't know how to add pictures. If so inclined, please google "Nolde landscapes."

Nolde studied art from 1884-1891 and was part of the group called Die Brucke (The Bridge) from 1906-1907. He was successful and well-received until the Nazis held their famous "Degenerate Art Exhibit" in 1937 and denounced his paintings among with many other artists like Kandinsky and Klee. In 1941, the Nazis literally forbade Nolde to paint. Asking a Leo to quit expressing himself. Hah! He gave up Oil Paints because the smell would give him away and spent most of the rest of his life painting Watercolors, many of which he called "Unpainted pictures." Much of the subject matter changed to still lifes, florals and landscapes. He reduces the subject matter to a few simple forms of the most amazing color you've ever seen. In order to get the colors intense enough he used very absorbent Japanese papers and applied the paint to both front and back of the painting.

Emil Nolde

Sun 15 Leo; Moon Scorpio; NN 15 Virgo

There's a trick to studying Nolde. His personality was a little complicated. Although he was very progressive and avant-garde in his artistic talents he belonged to the Nazi party right from the start and agreed to the extermination of the Jews. Even after he was banned and was hiding out in his little room, he thought this was a good idea. I guess one can see this in his chart. There are no planets in Air so he maybe lacked distance in his judgments. His Moon was in Scorpio, maybe involved in a very harsh t-square in conjunction with Saturn 18 Scorpio opposite Pluto 17 Taurus squaring Sun in Leo at the apex. One can see through his paintings how in touch he was with brutality, creativity and rawness, sensuality and sexuality. The empty leg of this t-square is Aquarius and in Nolde's chart Uranus is emphasized as his only out-of-bounds planet. The innovation and rebelliousness of Aquarius without the feeling for brotherhood? Sometimes one does see this in a difficult Aquarius aspect that will tend more towards conformism than the brotherly love that can accept others' differences.

Otherwise, his artistic talent is shown through his Sun-Mercury-Chiron-Venus in Leo stellium with Artistic signature Sun trine Neptune (15 Aries). And his Uranus 11 Cancer is in aspect to both Jupiter 5 Pisces (trine) and Neptune (square) which explains the lighter vibe of his paintings and the interest in social gatherings as subject matter.

In 1937, Nolde's t-square was hit hard. T.Uranus reached natal Pluto while his Progressed Mercury hit his natal Saturn. This, of course, squares his Sun. He was seen as the vulgar Revolutionary who was to be oppressed by the uprising Government. Saturn and Pluto combo's are the first to go as creators of evil. It's just strange Saturn-Pluto stuff that he was being punished for what he did right rather than what he did wrong. With progressed Mercury opposite Uranus he was going to paint his own truth no matter what anyone said.

In addition, T. Pluto hit his natal Leo stellium, so it was conjunct Venus at 2 Leo and would continue to pass over his Mercury and then Sun. People who are good at making changes can just go with the Pluto flow. Fixed Signs simply must transform. T. Neptune was moving into conjunction with Nolde's North Node in Virgo, so he would have just begun to find his true expression.

In 1940 this Neptune-Node aspect was exact and conjunct natal Mars in Virgo as well.

In 1941, Chiron had joined t. Pluto in the middle of his Leo Stellium. And Uranus had moved off of his n. Pluto but Saturn was just then passing over it. So his Saturn-Pluto was amplified. He had a Nodal Return along with a conjunction from Neptune to his natal Virgo North Node. And, well, as Neptune rules a Water Sign and Virgo prefers a more graphic medium, I guess it was a good time to switch to Watercolors.

At the end of the War, Nolde's progressed Sun moved into Scorpio. T.NN and Saturn were both conjunct his natal Uranus. My understanding is that he continued on after the war as a successful artist until his death. But there is still this lingering feeling of shame (Saturn-Pluto) surrounding his works because of his links with the Nazis. I think the Chinese have a proverb for it: "May you never live in interesting times."

Return of the Lost Wallet

I mentioned once before that I suspected that the conjunction of Uranus-North Node in Pisces had something to do with a Boomerang effect. Several Missing Children have been either found or have escaped their captors during the last few months.

It's about an 18 year old Sailor named Val Gregoire who had spend the day on leave visiting with his then girlfriend in Boston. After seeing her and her Mother off, he was hit on the back of the head and when he awoke both his pants and his wallet were gone. He went ahead and married his girlfriend and was married to her for almost 50 years before he passed away. So now, 56 years later, a demolition worker was taking down one of the walls of a theater in Boston and found the wallet. His wife noticed that a ticket in it was stamped with the exact same day (different year) as the date that her husband had found it. She located his widow and sent the wallet back to her.

And so, date of mugging: Apr. 11, 1951 Boston, MA, late in the day to early evening. A 7pm mugging puts Mars in Taurus right on the Descendant. Muggers, take note, that's an excellent aspect to have for a mugging.

Date wallet was found: Apr. 11, 2007 Boston, MA. This gives both a Nodal Return (by 3 degrees) in Pisces and a Venus Return in Taurus (Wallets) and, of course, a Solar Return in Aries. Gregoire, age 18 at the time, may have been going through a Nodal Return himself.

The Node in the Transiting chart (16 Pisces) is remarkable for the conjunction from Uranus (17 Pisces) (surprising and unexpected events, boomerangs, etc.). It is squared by Jupiter in Sagittarius (Justice, Wallets, and friggin Good Luck).

The Node (19 Pisces) in the Natal Chart is apex of a Yod. It is inconjunct Pluto at 18 Leo on one leg and Neptune at 19 Libra on the other Leg. Transiting Saturn is now in Leo (Theaters) and is conjunct Pluto by a degree and is trining the Sun in both charts (since it's a Solar Return chart). Saturn conjunct Pluto is the ultimate transit for tearing down walls and doing demolition. Neptune in Libra, well, my opinion of that aspect is that it just allows the Universe to shine down on us.

Oh, and I suppose the stolen pants (Saturn?) were thrown into the rag bag years ago.

The Lilith Fair

Yesterday we had the first Total Lunar Eclipse in three years. By coincidence I had signed up to attend an All Girls Writing Conference. Moon rules Women so I thought that this would be a very interesting way to spend the day, with women. But Moon also rules emotions and it turned out to be a very emotional day. I have a difficult Moon placement and am completely afraid of women and women who gather together without men tend to be very strong personalities. Where they proudly flaunt their overweight bodies calling themselves Rubenesques I see nothing but fodder for Diabetes meds and Heart Surgeons. Anyway, what I really needed was information on how to edit your blog when you suffer from ADD, maybe also how to add images so you can add charts. What the Fair offered was probing after probing of why women should never ever feel guilt over anything that they do much less ever apologize. Actually, those Liliths are excellent teachers, extremely talented and generous with their knowledge and the workshops were extremely useful. I just personally think that there's a whole new breed that needs to be spawned that actually looks at female guilt instead of trying to deny it should exist at all.

Besides that, they wear too much purple. OK: (from Rex Bills) Purple: Jupiter, Sagg; Light Purple: (Mercury), Royal or Deep Purple (Sun, Pluto); Violet: Jupiter, Mercury, Gemini, Virgo (Venus, Aquarius); Lavender: Neptune (Mercury); Red-Violet (Pisces); Blue-Violet (Saturn). No Mars Actions I guess but that God Damned Color takes up almost the entire horoscope! Rex doesn't give a Rulership for Battleaxes. Battalions are ruled by Mars. Amazons also not mentioned.

But, truth is, these are wonderful and strong people who are forging new roads for younger generations. God knows, that's just not my gig.

One Wonderful and Strong Woman self-published her confessions and handed out flyers where she gave her birth information. Whoopee! A Wonder Woman for me to concentrate on. Her story truly is Wonderful and Strong and Inspiring. I won't give her birth info or name but she is a Sagittarius, probably with Aries Moon and North Node in Pisces. So, she's a fireball, intuitive and enthusiastic and optimistic. She was born with the Astrological Software to burn through life's obstacles.

Not only is the Eclipse happening on her Nodes, but she is having a Nodal Return. Uranus is conjunct her North Node and Jupiter is conjunct her n.Venus which is squaring her Nodes. So, that's very strong for publishing and educational pursuits and Women's fairs. Her chart is interesting because so many of the outer planets are so close to the cusps, wonder if this means that she handles change and transition very well. Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto, Chiron included. That's all the outer planets.

She lists her major life events on the flyer and has now written a book about coming to terms with secrets and unfinished business from the past. If you can wade through the technical lingo the transits-progressions are pretty amazing to compare with the life events.

1987: Age 16, Dropped out of High School.

T. Uranus c. n.Sun. P. Sun c. n. Mercury Prog. Mars c. n.North Node. T. Saturn right between conjunction with n.Venus and n. Sun. t. Jupiter c. n. Chiron and opposite n.Pluto. The t. North Node may have been conjunct her n.Moon.

1981: Age 18, Pregnant, Boyfriend, went on Welfare

1998: Accepted Christianity into Life and gained emotional strength.

Saturn Return. Neptune sextile n.Neptune. Uranus trine n. Uranus. Jupiter trine n.Jupiter and c. n. Mars. There may have been a couple of aspects between Moon and Saturn. Progressed Sun-Mercury-Venus conjunct within 2 degrees in Capricorn and trining natal Saturn-transiting Saturn.

2003: Return to School for her High School Diploma.

P.Sun on last degree of Capricorn, moving into Aquarius. t. Uranus c. n.Mars, t.Pluto just past c. n.Venus (squaring Nodes). t. Saturn opposite n.Sun.

Has a Husband of 22 years, 4 daughters, publishing book of her writings. She wants her writing to speak to those who need to get over the secrets and shame of their past. It's interesting that her chart is the shape between a Bowl shape and a Locomotive shape. Saturn and Pluto are the boundary planets so almost half of her chart is empty. She turned to religion just at her Saturn Return and as Saturn was just starting to venture out into this new space. Perhaps the intensity of the conjunctions subsided enough to let her concentrate on these new ventures.
