Says that he/she has never seen Saturn so clearly. "I have never seen so much detail." Guess everyone's relieved that Saturn has moved back into Virgo at this point.

Sanitary Sewer Overflows of The Late Great State of California

The Water Resources Board is filing a little interactive map of places where the "Sanitary Sewers" are overflowing in California. That's so cool.

Since I have a conjunction of Mars-Pluto-Venus in Leo/Virgo down in the fourth house of my chart I suppose I'm obsessively freaking out about this problem more than others. What does "Sanitary Sewer" mean anyway? Can we possibly have "Clean Shit?" I didn't know there was such a thing.

At any rate, I think what it means is that the Infrastructure of the State has completely crumbled underground. That's sort of gross in places where people mostly poach and boil their foods but in places where people fry all kinds of firey spices from their homelands it means that everyone gets to bathe in the shit and wash their clothes in it who lives next door. And that's where I am right now. And I can tell you, it's really, really unmentionably gross.

The stuff just doesn't wash away (Saturn-Pluto square?) because the grease has been building up for years or a tree root has clogged the pipes or the pipes are just broken. This is actually great news for the fish who would just keel over dead if these spices ever made it to their gills, so all is not lost. It could be a major reason why the Salmon refuse to swim back up stream.

So, the problem was officially discovered in September, 2004. That was when Saturn was in Cancer, the water sign associated with the 4th House. If the 4th house doesn't flow, then everything associated with it turns to a festering puddle of bacteria. And, well, then the rest of the wheel immediately clogs as well.

Back in that amazing September in 2004 which the Health Departments apparently didn't take seriously Mars was also in Virgo, the sign of Health. Some great master of detail turned his nose up to the air and said "Why does it smell like shit in here?" and then poked around a little and figured out why. God Bless the Virgos. Anyway, California is a Virgo Sun, and Saturn just spent two years in that sign while the Health Departments did nothing but fret and worry about the problem.

And so now we have the Saturn-Uranus-Pluto t-square hanging out in the sky and everyone's saying "Where the Fuck is the Infrastructure?" And even scarier, a lot of people who live here don't know there's an infrastructure and certainly aren't going to get involved with the community at large to fix it. That's not why they came to this country from their homeland, or state (mostly Connecticut, now I know why those folks walk around with their noses up so far in the damn air).

I was in a Borders bookstore the other day and some man was walking his daughter through the store saying "who's cooking food in here?" (Yes, it's that bad). The people who live here are doing nothing about the problem. I think it's an act of territorial blobbiness for them and they like it. They will call it racism. Or they will call it H1N1. I call it terrorism, but I have a Capricorn Moon and was Anorexic for years because of the discomfort of watching women cooking at home all day when I was a kid. Cooking was an unhappy lifestyle choice in the house where I grew up so I don't get it when people continue to make these messes as a political statement.

Funny how this is the area where biotech was born. We're cooking up a storm of bacteria, here, literally. Maybe this is an experiment to see how long a population can go bathing in raw bacteria, grease and spices before the whole place just perishes. It's actually amazing that people are as healthy as they are.

Swine Flu Gone Wild

Boy, they weren't kidding when they passed out travel advisories to stay away from Mexico during Spring Break.

Timelines are starting to come out concerning the Swine Flu which is about to be considered a Pandemic. It looks like the 1st victim is thought to be a 5 year old boy living in the town of La Gloria, Veracruz, Mexico named Edgar Hernandez. Hernandez became ill sometime around April 2, 2009. By April 6 about 60 percent of the town of La Gloria, population 3,000, was ill. The first death was 39 year old Maria Adela Gutierrez who was admitted to the hospital on Apr 8 and who passed away five days later. Gutierrez was working as a Census Worker and it is thought that she may have passed the illness by going from door to door. Boy, when I worked for the census all we had to worry about were German Shepherds and Mountain Men with guns.

The virus was officially identified 3 weeks later.

I guess in hindsight I can see how the Sun-Mercury-Venus Rx conjunction at the beginning of April can spread a communicable disease like wildfire. It wouldn't have been my first choice for interpretation of that aspect alone but in this case Venus has been in a long term Inconjunct or Quincunx aspect with Saturn in Virgo. Inconjuncts are related with weakened health systems as is Saturn in Virgo. Virgo rules all things involving Public Health and Sanitation and Saturn likes to teach lessons in whatever sign it happens to roll into.

Venus went Retrograde on Mar. 7, 2009 at 16 Aries. It was not quite within tight orb of inconjunct with Saturn in Virgo which was at 19 Virgo Rx (but that's close enough for my Gemini Rising). Thing is, both planets have been moving Retrograde together at the same time so extending this Inconjunct Aspect over the space of about 2 months.

Saturn in Virgo is already related to a weakening of Health Systems and is under tension from the long term opposition to Uranus. Nobody likes a parade with a whole crowdful of people the way that Uranus does. This is the flipside of community involvement.

An inconjunct from fire sign Aries would indicate the speed with which this illness is traveling. Venus turned Direct on Apr. 18 at 30 Pisces and is now travelling forward through Aries. The Last pass of an inconjunct aspect between the two planets will be on May 20, 2009 at 15 Aries-Virgo.


Problems may be enhanced as Mars will be traveling through Aries through May, conjunct Venus, and will be inconjunct to Saturn during much of this time. I'd expect Mars in Aries to be even faster than Venus in Aries. Saturn stations Direct on May 17 at 15 Virgo.

Mercury will turn Retrograde on the 1st degree of Gemini and pass back into Taurus during the 2d week of May which could either slow the spread of the disease or create chaos for the Doctors who are trying to treat it.

So, this is my simpleton interpretation of things so far. I've already linked to others who have a bigger picture like Noel Tyl and Terry Lamb. Also, Monica at Astrology Mundo has a great post. An epidemic was part of her list of 10 predictions for 2009.

Fargo, North Dakota Floods Subside

If I understand things correctly The River froze and saved the people of Fargo, North Dakota from devastation of their city. According to the article I read which I don't have a link to, water rose to 40.82 feet around Midnight last night where it has hopefully crested. Not sure how high it was going to have to go before the town flooded, seem to remember that it was within a few feet of breaching the Levies. The people of Fargo have been stacking Sand Bags for a couple of days now.

The Astrology is fascinating. Saturn was conjunct the Virgo Midheaven opposing Mars in Pisces. I've been obsessed with my new Keyword for this aspect saying that it signifies a Wall or something having to do with a wall. If you are expecting a flood you certainly don't want to have Pisces which represents floods on the IC which probably also represents Floods due to its rulership from Cancer/Water. Mars is impulsive and just makes things happen swiftly. The difference here apparently is that Saturn rules Safety and Caution and Control and was opposing Mars. It was doing its job in Hero format. It has been extra strong these days up in the skies because it is the handle of a Bucket Chart pattern with all the rest of the planets clumped together on the opposite side of the chart.

Very interesting also is that the other Water Sign, Scorpio was just about finished rising. Scorpio represents Control, like Saturn, but sometimes can represent Crises. Pluto would have soon moved into the 1st House which is empowering. I think that Pluto and Saturn might represent situations which are cooling/icing so maybe that has something to do with things. Either way, the Moon and Sun were both in firey Aries, the Sun's conjunction to Venus Rx was exact to the degree. This would have had a warming effect as Aries is a Fire Sign but maybe also helped the people to build higher levies with an energizing effect.

By 2 pm today it is looking as if the River really doesn't intend to flood the city. At that point, Saturn had just passed over the opposite spot, the IC. The Moon had changed from Aries to Taurus, guess I should check the Void of Course stuff, hmmm, sort of in a hurry.

Pretty interesting that the World celebrated Earth Hour just a few hours before from 8:30pm to 9:30pm. Lights were supposed to be turned off in recognition of the massive stress man creates on the environment. I suspect that Earth Planet Saturn in Virgo an Earth Sign would especially appreciate that. Perhaps the Earth decided to let this one ride.

Saturn in Virgo Psychology Study, For Sure...

Here's a link to an article which says that researchers have found that clean people are less judgmental. Virgo is the sign of the Super Clean and Saturn is the planet that rules Judgment. There's something called a Macbeth Effect where people clean themselves constantly in order to purge themselves of Sin. I wonder which sign(s) and planetary placements we're moving into with that subject matter....

This study was preceded by a study which found that physical warmth makes people generous, or warm people are the most generous, or something like that. I suppose that's a Saturn, a cold planet, in fire sign Leo publication.. Maybe even written while Jupiter and Pluto were in Sagittarius.

Minnesota Police Raids!!!!!!

Today Ramsey County Sheriff in Minneapolis, MN raided a home of young kids who may have been organizing to protect the Republican Convention. A group of about 20 kids were handcuffed and held on the floor while Police aimed Machine gun like warheads at them. Diaries and other possibled incriminating "evidence" were confiscated.

I've been just sitting amused listening to all the Pro-Life and Pro-Gun Republicans talk. How can you be both at the same time? But these folks really mean it.

I figured things couldn't get any worse than what Bush & Cheney have been doing to the country but, oops, I was wrong. Things can always get worse.

Haven't found Sheriff Bob Fletcher's birth data but he allegedly drives a Black Dodge Durango. In homeopathic terms he might benefit from some Nux Vomica.

California's Run Out of Firemen - Saturn in Virgo

California the Virgo is getting her first taste of Saturn in Virgo as it approaches her Sun. Weeks of raging fires that are supposed to come from lightening that nobody sees have led to a completely exhausted crew of Firemen.

Headlines from the San Jose Mercury News yesterday sure do have Saturn in Virgo written all over them:

Saturn brings a constriction or lack or loss. Also exhaustion. Virgo represents the Service Jobs, like Policing and Fire Fighting. Members from the National Guard are going through quickie training to help out and I even heard that firefighters from Australia and New Zealand are coming over to help out. California has a Virgo Sun so seems to be feeling the approach of Saturn already. All my Astro charts are unavailable currently.

Here's a bit from the article. Somebody was calling these guys crybabies and whiners???? John McCain's financial advisor just called the country a bunch of whiners. That's nuts considering how many small time investors are once again losing their savings. That sounds more like Capricorn talk.:

Last time Saturn was in Virgo was around 1978-1980. All I remember from that time was that I couldn't learn to do the Hustle. Actually that was while Saturn was still in Leo. Saturn in Virgo wasn't nice. I do know that was the era when the fundings for the public schools were cut.

Ray Merriman on Complaining

Power of Prayer & Medicine

I just read Val Thomas' story. She's a 59 year old woman whose Heart suddenly stopped early Saturday Morning. The paramedics revived her as they took her to the Hospital and she coded two more times during the day. Her prognosis was dire and rigor mortis even began to set in but, just after her family had said their farewells and the life support was being removed, she awakened! The Doctors can't explain it.

The story as I understand it is that her body temperature was lowered at the Hospital (Induced Hypothermia). 10 minutes after the respirator was removed and after an electrical wiring system was removed her arm moved, she coughed and her eyes started to flutter. Then she spoke, apparently reassuring the apologetic nurse that it was ok that she wasn't dead.

This has got to be an example of Neptune (Hospitals, Spiritual Beliefs) and Chiron (Healer) conjunct the North Node in Aquarius (Hopes, Wishes). They were also opposing Saturn in Virgo (Health, Medical) which must also be significant here as Mrs. Thomas is somewhere near her 2d Saturn Return. Given the spiritual nature of Saturn and Neptune working together I have no doubt that her family's prayers played a huge role in her surprise recovery.

I looked at the event charts, just because I'm obsessive.

ASC 10 Scorpio Rising c. Moon 5 Scorpio; 17 Leo MC;

The Saturn-Chiron-Neptune-Nodes axis is angular both at 1:30 am (over ASC-DESC lines.) 9 Aquarius is Rising with ruler Uranus (Surprise, Shock) in H1 . On this day the Sun-Venus conjunction was squaring the axis-opposition from Taurus. It's also angular from the 3d house very close to the IC (end of life).

Around 7:00 pm when Mrs. Thomas awoke the big Axis was just crossing the other angles, the IC-MC axis. Here 17 Aquarius is on the IC with ruler Uranus in H5).

They do this every day right now so something else must have been going on and here the Moon may have been a strong factor along with Mercury and Uranus.

The Moon was in Libra when Mrs. Thomas was taken into the Hospital and passed over the Libra-Scorpio cusp. That passage is foreboding as Scorpio rules Death. But it also rules Tenacity and Rebirth. This Moon was significant as it was approaching the 2nd Scorpio Full Moon in a Month. It also was trining the Nodal Axis and inconjunct the Sun from the 8th House.

The Moon/Scorpio theme goes on. Just before 7:00 pm the Moon was passing over the Scorpio Ascendant. At 7:01 it became a Thor's Hammer to a Mercury-Uranus square spanning from the 5th to the 8th House. I suppose this could be some sort of indicator for receiving an electrical charge ruled by Mercury and Uranus. I don't have a clear idea of what a Thor's Hammer means interpretation wise, but figure it must provide extra strength. These planets could certainly cause some extra jolts of electricity to one's system, especially in relation to the houses they are in: ASC (physical body), 8th house (phoenix symbol) and 5th House (heart).

And, of course, as I said before, the 4th-10th houses were loaded. And Aquarius was ruling the IC which rules the end of life. And Aquarius always brings Surprises and Shocks and Miracles.

Where's the Trines?

Trines, Baby, We need Trines!

To cheer myself I have searched for the big Outer Planet Trines for this year. Saturn is leading the Trine News. It is in essence escorting Pluto into Capricorn, the sign which it rules. As this happens, January 24-26, Jupiter and Venus will be within orb of conjunction. Saturn and Pluto working together can be very powerful, but in Earth Signs there may not be a strong positive vibe. On the good side, people will be finding the beauty in reality and the day to day. There is a conservative quality to these two working together, using what you have, not overspending. And with the Saturn-Jupiter trine overlaying the Saturn-Pluto trine for the first half of the year we might be able to ease into the transition.

The panic right now is coming from the Mars-Pluto opposition. This thing is endless. I don't care if it's in lunatic Cancer or Schizy Gemini, Mars is doing a number on us. It needs a crisis. And it looks like it's effects will last way beyond the time that it disperses around March 23-24 (yes, Edna, it's around for that long) because the opposition will be embedded in both of the upcoming Eclipses in February.

Okay, and thing is the Eclipses are coming, the Eclipses are coming. The Mars-Pluto opposition is one of the major feature of the Solar Eclipse on Feb. 7 (3:55am UT, 15 Sagg ASC). Pluto will be in the first house opposite Mars in the 7th. There is a huge stellium including the New Moon at 18 Aquarius in the 2d house of this chart and Saturn is Rx in the 8th House (very close to 9th house cusp) which might not be great for money matters. But both elements are trining the Mars-Pluto opposition.

This Solar Eclipse will sort of set things up for the Lunar Eclipse which is Total. It comes up on Feb. 21 (3:26 UT, 21 Sagg ASC) and includes more aspects. Now we've got the Full Moon spanning the 2d-8th Houses but this time Saturn Rx is conjunct the Moon. This puts a strong emphasis on Resources with regards to money. Mostly this could mean a depressing effect on the Investment Markets and a Hysterical Reaction regarding earning capacity. Once again both ends of this opposition will trine the Mars-Pluto opposition. In both charts, Pluto and Jupiter will be in the 1 House which might bring a proactive approach to dealing with the problems even if it's only a continuation of "that good old Lucky feeling" that seems to drive the markets. Too bad the South Node will be in the 8th House conjunct Saturn.

The Jupiter-Saturn trine will end around Feb. 11. But, Saturn will once again have begun its trine to Pluto on Jan. 25. And as I said, Venus will be passing over Pluto and Jupiter and trining Saturn as well. Venus rules money so maybe someone will come along with a plan and there will be hope for one fleeting mother fucking second.

Back to DisasterLand: On Feb. 11 Saturn will conjunct the South Node. Neptune and Chiron will be conjunct the North Node. These two planets won't oppose each other exactly but this will be one last blast of their antics. I think this gets closest in May.?????

At the end of April and into May there will be a long Grand Trine period to the Saturn-Pluto trine as Mercury, the Sun and Venus pass from Aries and into Taurus. It actually starts on Tax Day.

July looks really weird. The Saturn-Pluto trine will end just as Mars hits Saturn at 6 Virgo. This will leave the Mars-Saturn conjunction unaspected for a week or so. Mars wants to act and Saturn wants to wait. They don't really see eye to eye. Mars and Saturn will be within orb of trining Jupiter on July 17 for only a day or so. Pluto will be unaspected but Rx. and the conjunction of Neptune-Chiron to the North Node will be unaspected. Mars and Saturn will again trine Jupiter on August 1. All in All it should be a great month for Suicide Bombers and setting off Firecrackers.

Saturn begins opposing Uranus in September on the 4th. The Sun will be passing over Saturn at this same time and Jupiter will still be trining it so this opposition will also begin with a postive vibe. It's like a big gassy planet convention in the sky. Well, it's an election year, what do you expect? And if you don't expect much, check out the Goya painting of Saturn eating his Sons. That's sort of how the Old Guarde feels about letting the New Guys in.

It's an election year and the Stock Market isn't supposed to tank in an election year but if the Republicans know they are going to lose the election they might just let the garden go, so to speak. They're vindictive little buggers and from the looks of it they've all sold their stock last Summer. They've bought their Gold coins and will retire to the Castle.

The Jupiter-Saturn trine ends on Dec. 31. The Sun, Mars and Pluto will all be within 10 degrees of each other in Capricorn. There will be 5 planets in Capricorn and 4 planets in Aquarius. It will be a good time for the upper echelons to prove themselves, whether they are of the spiritual variety or of the pragmatic sorts. The only major aspect besides all the conjunctions will be the Saturn-Uranus opposition.

Saturn in Virgo has to Clean Up in the Jails

Okay, I can quit beating up Saturn in Virgo now. Here's the true story. Prisoners in Georgia have filed a class action lawsuit against the guards who have been beating them to smithereens the whole time Saturn was in Leo. The guards even continued to beat the prisoners after they had tied them up.

"Seven Valdosta State Prison inmates claim in court documents that members of the prison's response team kicked them with combat boots, choked them with night sticks and donned black leather "beating gloves" to carry out the attacks between October 2005 and August 2007"

Those dates coincide with Saturn's passage through Leo. Saturn moved out of Leo into Virgo in September just as the abuse ceased. Virgo is the sign opposite Pisces and Pisces rules Prisons. Virgo also follows Leo. It has to clean up after all of Leo's wrongs which often have to do with putting restraints on Leo's outbursts of egomania.

Saturn rules Authority figures and all their antics, good or bad. Virgo rules the workplace so maybe there will be more outings of abusive Civil Workers as Saturn continues through Virgo.

More Saturn in Virgo: Monkeys Buying Good Times

Girl Macaque Monkeys are 3 times more likely to have sex with Boy Macaque Monkeys if the Boys groom (Virgo) them first. This has been interpreted by researchers as prostitution. I read it as either Good Hygiene or Foreplay. Certainly it indicates intelligence among the women.

But it is true that the more the Boy Monkeys give the more they get. That's sex but it doesn't sound like they're putting the Girl Monkeys up in their own apartments or draping them in diamonds or anything.

Virgo rules Fair Business Practices as much as it rules Good Hygiene. The Monkeys found the perfect blend. However, this may be illegal in the States.

Saturn Opposes Itself in Virgo

A research study has just been completed in England that says that if a person develops 4 obvious lifestyle changes he/she will tack on 14 years to his/her life. That's half a spin around the Saturn Cycle worth of extra living. It totally figures that this would come out while Saturn is in Virgo. Saturn, of course, is the TaskMaster of the Zodiac so it's no wonder that so many people fail to follow these simple rules.

Problem with this study is, look at what you have to do:

1. Snuff out the ciggies.
2. Eat Fruits & Veggies.
3. Hoof it: no elevator, no car.
4. Booze in moderation.

Good Virgonian oxymoron lifestyle stuff. Only a Virgo can do it. And that's just because they're allergic to everything and have to do it. At least we can have a drink every once in a while. We can receive a beer through our IV once a week.

"We didn't ask these people to do anything exceptional." says researcher Kay-Tee Khaw. Ha! That right there is where the research falls apart. This researcher evidently doesn't have a clue about the addictive allure of drinking or smoking let alone the pleasure of sneaking Hostess Cupcakes. 14 years of counting statistics evidently addles the brain.

I guess they didn't allow Heroin addicts into the research, that would have spun the Saturn cycle all the way around into Pisces. Well, according to this research that would spin the Cycle backwards 14 years. And you will notice that the study was begun back in the mid-90s right around the time that Saturn was ravaging Pisces. I've been told that Music conductors live longer than everyone else just because they wave their hands over their heads so much, enjoy their work, and are appreciated by other people. That sounds like a good approach to me. Where does Saturn have to be in order for that research to be published? Horrors, Leo is 26 years away!

The worst part about this research is that the guy is just so totally right, that's so Virgo. But, so what? This means that my parents would have lived to be 70 and 75. 14 more years of them complaining about how bored they are because they can't smoke or drink.

At least fruits and vegetables are pretty colors.

Saturn in Virgo / Prince Philip and Prince Charles

Have been struck dumb by the photos that are on the Internet of Princess Diana's last moments. I came across some of them accidentally and have to say I'm impressed by what Vultures these photographers are. And now I am lamely following the Inquest into the car crash that caused the Princess's death. It's taking place at the relentless 10 year request of Dodi Fayed's Father who is blaming Prince Philip for organizing the crash. Father blaming Father sounds a lot like some Saturn issues. I had to take a look.

Saturn rules the Father, Authority and Government. Both Men have strong Sun-Saturn connections, Philip has a square and Mr. Fayed has the conjunction.

And Saturn is very strong by transit here. It has recently passed into Virgo and both Prince Philip and Prince Charles have Saturn in Virgo natally. So, they are going through their Saturn Returns. Even if these Gentlemen had nothing to do with Princess Diana's death, they are forever in Karmic Debt to her unhappiness in the Public Eye.

Virgo is an interesting sign. It rules day to Day matters, realism and usually comes out squeaky clean in public on matters of dishonesty or sabotage or worse. But, what the Virgos don't want anyone to know is that they're never really that far away from flipping over into the Piscean side of things when under stress. At the drop of a hat, they complain about being martyrs, and then blame everyone around them. Virgo's know exactly what they can get away with at any given moment and then they move on without giving it a second thought. They are forever the Innocent Virgin. (And usually they really are innocent, well sort of... I have Virgo siblings).

Prince Charles is going through his 2d Saturn Return right now. The Day of Diana's crash, the Sun was conjunct his Saturn so it's very interesting that he is under the gun now after 10 years. This Return is extra heavy transit as t.Saturn is conjunct the t.South Node. That puts Fate (Nodes) and Karma (Saturn) together into one big happy package for him. Talk about the past coming up and biting you in the ass. On the plus side, Prince Charles has a well-aspected Saturn natally. It's in a Grand Trine to Moon- NN in Taurus and Jupiter at 30 Sagittarius (Aries Point). I suppose if he's involved he'll glide through this with nary a scratch.

On the other hand, in about a year from now, Prince Philip will go through his 3d Saturn Return. His 19 Virgo Saturn is afflicted, conjunct his NN at 20 Virgo. This Saturn-Node conjunction is squaring his Sun-Mercury conjunction meaning that he has managerial skills but he may suffer from cold-heartedness and cruelty at times. Managerial skills are great talents to have but, remember bin Laden and al-Zarqawi had similar squares.

At any rate, I wouldn't want to be the subject of an Inquest at any time let alone during a Saturn Return. Look what happened to Martha Stewart during her last Saturn Return.

So then, for curiosity's sake, one looks at Dodi Fayed's Saturn. Why not? This is conjunct his Descendant in Scorpio. It disposes to and squares 4th House Pluto. This can be an indicator of being born into a family where power games are very prominent. 4th house rules beginning and end of life and Pluto rules death, power games and also Fame. He did after all become famous after his death. His Father has struggled in grief and terror (Saturn square Pluto) for 10 years to set things right. He should have taught his Son to use a seat belt, Saturn afflicted can't get away with not using a seat belt.

And now we look at Dodi's Father's Saturn. Mohamed Abdel Moneim Fayed is an Aquarius. This puts his Sun at 8 Aquarius conjunct Saturn to the degree. This conjunction is unaspected by Ptolomaic aspects so it is a very prominent influence in his chart. It combines Vitality/ego and Determination. This is what is needed to spend 10 years of fighting the British Government to find the truth out about his Son's death. His Sun-Saturn conjunction is pitted against Philip's Sun-Saturn square. Mr. Fayed's conjunction does have a Sesquiquadrate (keywords: ill-omened, choice, readjustment, resolve) aspect to Mars-Jupiter in Virgo. Mars aspecting Jupiter is sort of a Racehorse aspect. It took 10 years but he's taking this Inquest to the Finish Line in order to get Unbiased (Aquarius) facts (Virgo).

Transiting Saturn is aspecting Mr. Fayed's (Father) chart strongly as well. It is conjunct his n. Neptune-South Node conjunction in Virgo at 10 and 8 degrees respectively. So it makes sense that he would feel victimized by Philip and Charles and their Saturns. After analyzing the facts (Virgo) he will finally be able to grieve his Son.

Then, of course, Diana's Virgo planets hook into Charles' Saturn. She has a stellium of Uranus-NN in Leo with Mars-Pluto in Virgo. T.Saturn is now conjunct her angry, willful Mars-Pluto conjunction which is conjunct Charles' Saturn. What awful synastry. On top of this, the Car Crash happened on a day when the Sun was conjunct their Saturn Pluto conjunction (and the rest of Di's planets). Saturn & Pluto together, the Marriage that just keeps on taking. Last year's endless Saturn-Neptune opposition was stationing on Diana's Lilith in Leo which provided the kick-off for the inquest. Lilith was the original screwed over ex-wife in mythology.

Another thing: both Prince Philip and Prince Charles share an opposition of Jupiter to Uranus. Although not afflicted by deep dark motivations these two planets working together could indicate a problem with needing Freedom and Independence at any cost. Prince Charles' opposition is on the very public Aries Points: Jupiter 30 Sagittarius opposite Uranus 30 Gemini. At this point, his Prog. Venus and t. Pluto are close to conjunction with his natal Jupiter. Hopefully, he's innocent and will be vindicated. Either that, or he will kill Camilla too. A very emotional time for him either way.

Prince Philip's opposition is: Uranus 10 Pisces opposite Jupiter 11 Virgo. It's pronounced in his chart as these planets are the boundary planets to a bowl shape that expands out into a "Boat Shape" (where the two planets are linked by a series of sextiles on one side of the chart). This opposition is pronounced by current transits as the transiting Nodes are layered on top and Saturn's fast approaching. Also, Prince Philip's progressed Sun is at 12 Virgo on top of Jupiter.

And that's not all. Philip just had his Uranus Return last year over at the other end of the opposition. And there have been a series of Eclipses hammering on him. What a year. There have been Eclipses on or near these Pisces/Virgo points for everyone involved.

According to Rex Bills, Murder is ruled by Pluto, Mars (H12). Conspiracies are ruled by 12, Neptune, Pisces (Uranus, Pluto).

When Diana died in 1997, Philip's progressed Sun and Mercury had just entered Virgo on the spot where Saturn-SN are right now. So, he's being help responsible for what happened then. Transiting Pluto was squaring them in Sagittarius. His Progressed Mars was conjunct his Natal Neptune which is maybe conjunct his n.Moon in Leo. That does look a little conspiratorial. This Moon-Neptune conjunction is in Charles' First House very close to his Ascendant. I don't have a birth time for Prince Philip so don't know his Ascendant or exact Moon placement.

Diana's death has been discussed. The Sun conjunct her Pluto-Mars plus multiple other aspects on different levels.

Carol Anne Gotbaum

This story has been all over the news. Carol Anne Gotbaum was a well-respected New Yorker who died while in Police Custody in the Phoenix Airport on September 28, 2007. She had reportedly developed a drinking problem within the last 3 years. I remember hearing that her Father passed away around that time so that may have been the trigger for her downward spiral. She was on her way to a rehab center in Tucson and had missed her first flight, had had to wait for a second flight and missed that flight as well. When she was denied onto the second flight she flipped out and started screaming. The Police were called. Carol Anne Gotbaum's obituary says that she was born in 1961. This is all the Birth Info I can find for her. This may narrow her Birth Date down to being between Sept. 29 and Dec. 31, 1961 in South Africa (Cape Town?). During these 3 months, Jupiter passed from Capricorn to Aquarius and Uranus moved from Leo into Virgo which doesn't make interpretation any easier. It does look like Saturn's transit into Virgo was affecting her Uranus. She would have had Saturn in Capricorn and Neptune in Scorpio. This means that she was going through her Neptune square which is a time when one can be very vulnerable to developing a Drug & Alcohol problem. It also means that as she was sitting in the Airport waiting for the flight, her Saturn was passing through the 1st house of the event chart. I suppose this isn't the best location for Saturn to be in when one is "waiting" to catch a "delayed" flight while on the way to seek treatment for a "socially embarassing condition". Saturn passes through this spot every day but this would be the time when one is most vulnerable to depression and feeling like a failure in society's eyes.

1:06pm - Gotbaum arrived late at Gate for 1st Flight after doors shut.
1:06pm - 0 Capricorn Rising
2:49pm - Police get a call about a Loud, Screaming Woman at another Gate (2d flight)
2:53pm - Police tackle Gotbaum to the ground while placing her under arrest.
3:05pm - 0 Aquarius Rising
3:29pm - Gotbaum pronounced dead while in police custody.
around 6pm - Husband Noah Gotbaum notified that his wife had died.
6:01pm - 0 Aries Rising

The event chart is loaded. It has a Mystic Triangle, a Yod and a Grand Trine. The Pisces NN is involved in all 3 configurations. Pisces rules imprisonment, drugs, alcohol, and victims (and film, media attention). Saturn is conjunct the South Node in Virgo. Virgo rules Police and Saturn rules Lessons and overbearing use of Authority and the South Node shows that Virgo traits (cold analysis) need to be constantly balanced out by Pisces (empathy) traits at this time.

The Sun in Libra is squaring the Mars-Pluto opposition and is passing through the 8th House while Carol Anne is detained and dies. This is a very violent aspect, people are short tempered and impatient and use of force could be extreme. It also could indicate suicide, certainly she would have been at danger. Mars is also on the Aries Point passing from Gemini to Cancer as this event happens. The situation comes to the public's attention.

There are 3 oppositions. The one that stands out is the opposition between Mars and Pluto. Mars is also squaring the Sun (Sun out of orb to square Pluto). This placement shows violence and use of force and it is conjunct the ASC and DESC axis as Carol Anne was denied access onto the first flight. This explains why she would have overreacted but it also indicates that probably she wasn't treated very kindly at the Gate. Some days you can handle that, when you're on your way to Rehab, it's not so easy. This opposition was passing through the 6th-12th house axis as she was arrested and had just passed into the 5th-11th house when she was declared dead.

Noah Gotbaum, Carol Anne's husband, was not told about her death by the Police until 2 hours after she died. He was told around 6 pm just as Pluto hit the MC and Mars hit the IC and Aries was rising at 1 degree! The Aries Point once again. The story caught on like wild fire. The Sun was opposing the ASC from H7 and squaring the Mars-Pluto opposition from the 7th house (husband)! The Sun during this whole time was also apex to a Yod inconjunct to the Pisces NN on one leg and the Moon on the other leg. What a wild configuration to learn about the death of one's spouse! This makes one wonder what the police did to cover things up. Neptune, Chiron and the NN were in the 1st house.

The 2d opposition is between Venus in Leo and Neptune in Aquarius. Venus was in the 8th house along with Saturn when Carol Anne was denied her first flight. This describes a feeling of deep desperation and loneliness. Venus passed into the 7th House as she was denied the second flight and also while she was detained and died. Neptune, opposing that Venus, was of course in the 1st house along with Chiron during Carol Anne's last minutes. This indicates some chance that she had taken drugs or alcohol while waiting. Considering her Neptune was squaring Neptune opposite Venus shows that she was extra vulnerable. This also shows the media publicity and popularity of the arrest video.

The 3d opposition was the opposition of Mercury at 1 Scorpio opposite Moon at 4 Taurus. Taurus rules the neck and Scorpio rules death, murder, would probably be involved in strangulation or choking. Mind and Emotions were not harmonizing. Nobody involved was using their heads. The woman at the Gate was unsympathetic to her customer's needs and called the Police at 2:49pm and by 2:53 the police had knocked Carol Anne to the ground and had her in handcuffs. No one tried to calm her down or probably explain what was going to happen if she didn't calm down. She was probably not acting her best in the first place. "Warnings" I suppose would be Saturn's job. He was in the 7th House but conjunct the South Node which I suppose means that only his Authoritarian side came out. At this point, Capricorn was rising so Saturn ruled the chart. All this and the flight Gotbaum was supposed to be on hadn't even left yet.

At 3:06 pm Aquarius was rising. I'm not sure of her time of death but it would have been around now. The Police chained Carol Anne up and left her screaming and when she went silent they went to check on her. Then they claimed she strangled herself with the chain (which was linked to her handcuffs which were behind her back). Ruler Uranus was in the 2d house. That's Taurus's house which rules the neck. It could also indicate that she choked. She may have vomited and aspirated while screaming and no one paid attention. Uranus is in Pisces which rules imprisonment so one wonders what other bizarre circumstances have been happening in the jails.

The Aquarius influence certainly does describe Carol Anne's death. Headlines are full of Uranian keywords: "Bizarre Death," "Death Shocks Cops" "Puzzling Death" and all happening at a Uranian place, the Airport.

Flamingo Rescue

This is a cute one.

Celebrity Zoo keeper Jack Hanna got stuck in an Airport Turnstile in Ohio with an 11-month old Pink Flamingo. The Flamingo was traveling in a 2' x 3' box and the square box just couldn't make it through the round turnstile. Hanna, who was traveling with a menagerie that included a mongoose, a leopard and 3 people, managed to free himself but it took 3 firefighters to get the Flamingo out.

Rex Bills doesn't list rulerships for Flamingos. Large birds capable of flight are ruled by Uranus/Aquarius and Pluto rules Wading Birds. The color Pink is ruled by Venus and we can only assume that at 11 months the Flamingo is a Libra. Bird Cages are ruled by (Virgo). When you look at Jack Hanna's chart you see that he has an unaspected conjunction of Venus and Jupiter in Scorpio so it's the Pink feathery beasts dressed up like Showgirls that trap him every time. (The event chart has a glamorous t-square configuration of 5th House Moon in Scorpio to Venus opposite Neptune.)

The Columbus Fire Dept. logged their arrival at the Airport at 12:30 am on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007. God only knows how long Hanna and the Flamingo were trapped in the turnstile. Let's assume about an hour? Zoos and Zoologists, according to Bills, are ruled by (Uranus, Saturn, Neptune, H6). Maybe it's significant that Saturn has just moved into Virgo because that's the sign that rules House 6 of small animals.

There's an Angular Grand Square in the Event Chart that pretty much sums it up. It could have indicated an earthquake but why not also turnstiles? Especially getting stuck in turnstiles with large boxes stuffed with a live wild birds that is probably squawking ferociously and spewing pink fluff out the air holes. Uranus is key here. It rules both Airports and Large Birds and is placed in H10. It's opposing the Virgo Sun (caged birds) and squaring Mars opposite Pluto which had just risen over the Ascendant-Descendant line. Mars and Pluto rule Firemen along with other distressing events.

Transiting Uranus and North Node in Pisces are widely squaring Hanna's natal Uranus and North Node in Gemini so this is just one of those unexpected, shocking Uranian types of situations. In the event chart, Uranus is also apex of a Yod to 3d House Venus in Leo and 5th House Mercury in Libra. That brings in the transportation and show business element.
