Blogger's Comb-Over?

Well, yesterday I was trying to post a really fun article on astrological reasons why Donald Trump suddenly splained his outrageous comb-over (shock, surprise, Uranus/Leo/Mars) and I go into Blogger to write it but Blogger isn't there.

Blogger's not really saying why and what happened except that there was a blip in some maintenance procedures. Moon in Virgo.

These blips used to be considered business as normal, a reason to take a break and do nothing for a while, but now there are articles about how Blogging wrecks businesses because the Internet cloud is so unreliable. Neptune in Pisces.

I think that article was written by a snitty Pluto in Libra person. It's the kind of mentality that only someone who makes over $100,000 a year straight out of college can have.

I'm not sure exactly when the problem began. The Huffington Post gives a time of 7:37 am PDT Wednesday May 11, 2011.

Sun 21 Taurus (H12); Moon 1 Virgo (H4); ASC 17 Gemini; MC 24 Aquarius; NN 24 Sagittarius

This shows the effect of what can happen when Mercury, Venus and Jupiter are in conjunction on the same degree with each other in Aries. In this particular chart they rule the Asc and Desc together through Mercury and Jupiter. The conjunction is up in the 11th House of Technology with Eris (chaos), Lilith (homewrecker), and Uranus (shock, surprise, circulatory systems, electrical). Monkey business. Maybe a student did something wrong. Or maybe there was a communication problem. In connection with Venus I think somebody was just getting lazy or lax or aggressive or, as I said, it's that snitty, sneering thing that just gets upset over stupid things. Or, shudder, maybe a female screwed up.

There's another significant opposition. The Moon 1 Virgo is definitely a signature for maintenance. The Moon is opposite Neptune 1 Pisces up in the 10th House of Authority, Business, Career. Talk about a "balancing act" related to "cloud computing."

The Sun is unaspected in this chart so it doesn't flow with the rest of the chart. It does, however, repeat the theme of "clouds" because it is placed in the 12th House in Taurus. Confusion, Self-Undoing, Deception. Since Pluto and the North Node are also placed on an angle (like Moon, Neptune, Chiron) there could have been sabotage.

Or there could have been sex. Or somebody could have been sneezing from pollen.

Wow, well, like I said, Donald Trump's hair comment has an easy answer. This chart doesn't. Trump has Leo Rising which shows that he has big hair. Sometimes Leo can lose its hair. But in Trump's case that's not the case. He has lots of hair and he must have dandruff because he uses Head n Shoulders every day. It takes an hour to dry.

Trump's SA Sun-Uranus-NN conjunction have hit his first house Mars in Leo. So it gets really weird. What other man on earth with a significant head of hair and zillions of dollars to have it styled would choose to comb it back as if he were bald? I think he does dye it, doesn't he?

The Two Into the One.

Yahoo News posted an article celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the bra. Should have read through the whole thing to figure out how they come up with 100 years but once I figured that they weren't planning on giving dates I had to go somewhere else. I'd sort of like to think that the big wigs at Yahoo sometimes don't have their facts straight. Maybe they were just flumoxed by their subject. More likely I don't have my facts straight. Either/Or, Check this out.

The idea for the Bra in its relatively modern form was "born" in 1913 by a New York Socialite Mary Phelps-Jacobs. This was the year that Pluto was moving from Gemini into Cancer. In a sense, "the twins" had found a new "home."

Venus (women) in the Patent Chart was at 13 degrees in sporty Sagittarius. Venus wouldn't like to feel constricted in this freedom loving sign and she just happens "to fill out" the empty t-square of Phelps-Jacobs' natal t-square. Jupiter was in conjunction with Uranus in Aquarius. Can't find a more freedom loving combo than that.

Saturn was in conjunction with Pluto at 2-3 degrees Cancer, showing how the Twins were going Corporate in their new home.

Unfortunately Mary couldn't manage to sell her new product. Mercury was Retrograde on this date at 20 Scorpio.

Space Station Now Hooked Up To Internet

The astronauts now have access to all the porn they want thanks to Scorpio Timothy Creamer who has set up their very first Internet connection. Creamer sent his first Tweet today. Remember when I wrote the post about how the Internet is a Scorpio? Of course you don't. Well it is. Nobody seems to ever give the Scorpios credit. Today, of course, Pluto is conjunct Mercury in Capricorn which adds a Scorpionic flair to all things having to do with Communications (ruled by Mercury). Around the time of the first Tweet I believe Mercury-Pluto would have been in the 3d house of communications.

Astronaut Creamer has a natal conjunction of Mercury-Jupiter in Sagittarius which shows great abilities for expanding the world through communications.

Space Travel is ruled by Uranus, of course, and Neptune, and probably Jupiter as well. Today the Sun is conjunct Venus. Around the time of the first Tweet this duo was passing over the IC. That's the IC of the Cape Canaveral Chart. I have no idea how to set up a chart for Space Station time. That makes sense since the Sun disposits to Uranus and Uranus, planet of all things unpredictable and futuristic, is hanging out in Pisces and is unaspected.

Creamer's chart is pretty great to look at. He's born in 1959 and has a natal Saturn-Pluto trine. With Saturn at 5 Capricorn and squaring his Nodal Axis (2 Libra NN - 2 Aries SN) this could be considered a difficult time for Creamer because there is currently a Saturn-Pluto square transiting over this difficult natal aspect. But, hey, Pluto likes a Challenge and nothing offers a better challenge than a good square aspect. Right?

Mars in the chart of the first Tweet is Retrograde in Leo at 13 Leo. Mars is possibly conjunct the Midheaven at the time of the first Tweet. It is retrograde, and most elevated planet in the chart. This is conjunct Kreamer's natal Uranus (Outer Space, Baby) which squares his natal Sun-Mars conjunction. Noel Tyl says that Mars-Uranus combinations represent working in Technology. That certainly seems to be true. This is too much info, but it's interesting that the end of Libra/Scorpio is possibly rising over Earth's Ascendant in the Event Chart. This means that Kreamer's Sun-Mars is passing through H1. His Uranus is right up there with Mars of the Natal Chart.

Mars Stations Direct on March 9,10,11. It will be interesting to see if anything weird happens to the Internet Connection on that date. There might be a big Internet hi-jacking around that date because the Saturn-Uranus-Pluto t-square will be within orb at that point.

Not sure of the official time that he sent but his Twitter Page says that it was around 11 hours ago. That would mean that he sent his message between 12:01 am and 12:30 am, Jan 22, 2010.

1st transmission only sent 2 letters through and the system crashed. The full message was sent an hour later according to the message on the web. Lots of water influence in this chart. During the first transmission Cancer was on the Ascendant and Pluto was in the 3d House. An hour later when the Full message went through successfully, Leo was on the Ascendant and Pluto had moved up in to the 2d House. Uranus, Venus, Mercury and Jupiter in Libra were all in the 3d House of Communications. Amazing how this works out.

The Scorpio Sun was opposing Saturn and this opposition was on the angles in the 4th/10th Houses all along. This shows the roots in the Sciences I guess. An hour after the initial transmission the Sun-Saturn opposition was layered over the IC/MC axis within a degree. After that the Sun would have moved into the 3d House of Communications and the Celebrations would have begun.

Fiber Optic Cables Cut, San Jose, California

I finally got to find out what's under the manhole covers on Thursday when I kept trying to call someone and a mechanical lady's voice kept announcing that the phone line was down. When I called my phone carrier the guy on the line didn't have a clue what I was talking about but apparently people in a large part of the area were without phone lines, wireless, internet, and even 911. Some one or some people went underneath and cut the fiber optic cables in San Jose and San Carlos, CA. The lines in San Jose did a lot of damage and the lines in San Carlos are said to have not caused too many problems. People were left without any communication abilities at all and the media is said to have pretty much ignored the problem all day. One lady had to run from her house as it was being burgled because the phone line was down. That's pretty scary.

According to a source which I have lost track of the lines in San Jose were cut some time before 1:30am Apr. 9, 2009 and the lines in San Carlos were cut about 2 hours later. By about 5 pm Thursday the lines were back up again. AT&T is now offering a $250,000 reward for anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of the people who did this. So, if any wayward astrologers want to take a guess, go ahead and let them know. They'll probably send the Feds after you if you're right though because somehow saying "Look! It's right here in the chart!" doesn't really get much of a response.

There are a couple of stunners here that point to this event, don't know if they accuse anyone in particular. First off, Pluto is conjunct the Ascendant. Pluto in Capricorn points to Corporations and Big Government. Don't know if it's the actual Corporations themselves sabotaging each other or someone who has a beef with the Corporations/Big Government. Someone was clearly getting revenge on the Silicon Valley. They didn't go for the heart of the Silicon Valley, though. Apparently the best spot for clipping the cables was 2 miles away. This Saturn-Pluto theme is amplified by Saturn's placement. Saturn is ruler of the chart and is placed in Pluto's 8th House.

Second clinker is that Mars/Aries rules cutting, sawing, any utensil that Freddie used in the Friday 13th movies. Telecommunications is ruled by Mercury/3d house/Gemini. The Sun was in Aries, sign ruled by Mars and was 2 degrees from approaching a Full Moon. And the Full Moon was conjunct the IC/MC axis. Mercury was also in Aries. Both planets were traveling through the 3d house of communications during this event. And, Mars was conjunct the 3d House cusp along with Uranus and Venus at 1 Aries.

It's almost as if the people who did this were Astrologers. The Rising Sign for the San Carlos cuttings probably was in Aquarius. Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune had moved into the 1st house by then. The vandals were too drunk to cut the right cables perhaps? This configuration points to either college students, you know, Libra activist types from Santa Cruz who sobered up enough to make the drive over 17 without getting pulled over? It could also be a government test.

Looking at the Astrolocality lines points some fingers at people from Seattle, people from Hawaii, people from Brazil, and people from around the Meditteranean and Eastern Europe. There you go, ATT, my guesses.

April Fool's Computer Worm

Lots of Warnings right now in the media about the Conficker Worm which is said to have loaded itself on a huge number of computers PCs already and is set to do something on April 1. If I've got my info straight (and that's unlikely) this is the 3d in a series of Conficker Worms and is thought to be extra nasty because it is undetectable. Not sure where I read this but one article said that it may actually be some sort of marketing game. That would be an interesting way to look at the situation since the Sun will be conjunct Mercury and Venus Rx in Aries. Mercury and Venus working together often indicate Marketing and Financial Systems. Wonder if there is a connection between this and the meeting of the G-20 which will begin on the next day, April 2. All the planets disposit to Mars which rules War and, in combination with Uranus, Technology. And Mars will be in Pisces which could indicate subversive war. And Mars will be opposing or opposed by Saturn in Virgo. That could indicate a cautionary barrier which might stop the thing. My new keyword for all things Mars-Saturn is "Wall." Saturn in Virgo would be one of the more techno savvy placements for Saturn. At any rate, with this placement it might mean that the Devil is in the Details.

With Sun in Aries conjunct Venus and Mercury and Gemini Moon I'd prefer to think that it will be a huge April Fool's Joke. But I don't know if I could laugh that hard about what might happen.

The powers that be suggest backing up all your files. Maybe avoid any online transactions March 31-April 1. Maybe just don't turn on the computer, the Internet may be jammed really badly (Mars-Saturn) anyway.

UAL, Y'all

There was a really weird blip in the Stock Market on Monday. One can expect weird, random events with Sun opposing Uranus. A reporter who was researching United Airlines stories on the Internet pulled up an old bankruptcy story from 2002 and thought he had hit pay dirt because no one else knew about it. Turns out the Google search engine had attached the day's current date to the story from 2002. Oopsey. The Reporter reported his story and United Airlines' stock tanked. For about an hour it lost 75 percent of its value. It then went back up, almost, to its opening price. The speed at which this all occurred is unbelievable and of course has brought up all kinds of questions which need to be solved. With the Saturn-Pluto-Uranus t-square coming up, man, they better solve this Internet stuff fast. Talk about Computer Goofology transits. In this case, the Internet goofed. The Reporter goofed. What the Hell was going on with the 3d House? Answer: It was loaded with planets that were squaring the ASC.

I looked at the day's chart for the NYSE on Monday, Sept. 8, 2008 Opening Bell: 9:30am, New York, NY. Libra was rising with Mars-Mercury-Venus still in conjunction. Venus rules this chart and she is conjunct Mercury here. Rulers of the Markets are indicated somehow. Mercury rules reporters and is conjunct Mars to the degree. Mars rules Rash behavior. Mercury-Venus-Mars-ASC are squaring (challenges) Jupiter which rules Journalism and Publishing as well. Jupiter is placed in and rules the 3d House of Journalism. Mercury and Mars squaring Jupiter will indicate exaggerations, misquotes, misinformation, but generally a really, really good story.

Don't know if I could have seen this coming through foresight but, in hindsight, this seems like a very easy to read event astrologically. The Sun opposing Uranus indicates Technology as does Mars conjunct the ASC. The Moon was in Sagittarius and also in the 3d house approaching conjunction with Pluto. That adds emotions to the 3d/9th house element. Pluto rules the Masses. At the height of the frenzy, the Moon was within 1 degree conjunction of Pluto in the 3d House. Jupiter and Sagittarius and Uranus and Aquarius all indicate something to do with Airlines.

Perhaps the Sun-Saturn in Virgo conjunction was the saving grace here. Saturn rules Caution and Virgo quickly grasps mistakes.

There are a couple other things I looked at in this chart. On his excellent blog, Jonah Lehrer discusses the event as a Herd Mentality thing. I'm writing this without my Rex Bills book so the Keywords will be my own -- probably a good reason to skip these paragraphs. I assume that Herds and Herding would be related to Virgo on a literal basis as Virgo rules Farm Animals. This is interesting since I just said that I thought that Sun and Saturn in Virgo were the saving grace for the quick fix to the problem. Oh well, the Stars will indicate a trend, they often don't indicate in which direction the trend will move. Virgo's ruler, Mercury, is conjunct Venus-Mars and the Ascendant as said before.

Pluto would be involved as it rules the Masses. The Moon which rules the Public is conjunct Pluto here. Uranus might be involved as well as it rules large groups of people, maybe not in the negative way though.

The Sun in the opening day chart is in the 11th House and is opposing Uranus. Random, unexpected events with sudden turnarounds. Check out the stock price chart for United Airlines that day. I mean, really, where's the epicenter to that earthquake?

Second thing I noticed by looking at United Airlines' chart for Date of Incorporation. United Airlines (incorporated Dec. 30, 1968, Delaware) chart is lit up by all kinds of aspects. Jupiter has been passing over United's natal Sun. That should be great for an Airline.

Here are some interesting progressions. Progressed Mercury has been moving Retrograde since between the mid-late 1980s sometime (sorry about lack of computer program right now). What a bad situation for an Airline as Mercury rules transportation. United's progressed Sun is also approaching conjunction with natal Venus in Aquarius. This is also the spot where t. Neptune, North Node and Chiron are at this point. The prog. Sun will be in exact conjunction in about 4 years about the same time that Progressed Mercury stations Direct at 1 Aquarius. There should really be big changes for the Airline at that time.

Google's Chrome

Google launched a new browser called "Chrome" that is designed as a new model of browser better able to handle video and audio than the older browsers.

According to this link (http://news.cnet.com/8301-17939_109-10030035-2.html) the Launch Date is September 2, 2008. The Official Press Conference to launch the browser was set to begin at 11:00 am in Mountain View, CA. I can't find the time that the Conference actually began to confirm the chart.

Sun 11 Virgo; ASC 3 Scorpio; Moon 17 Libra; NN 19 Aquarius; MC 8 Leo

Sun in Virgo on the 11th House cusp looks like a good chart for anything having to do with technology. This is improved by a trine to the Sun by Jupiter in the 3d House. 3d House and 9th House (ruled by Jupiter) would rule Web Browsing. There is a little bit of a problem in that Jupiter is in Capricorn, Capricorn is on the 3d House cusp and the Sun is conjunct Saturn. All of these Saturnian influences might indicate a slow launch that's not well received at first and is considered over authoritarian in some way. It might be slow. It might also have staying power.

It's interesting how many of the event charts I'm looking at right now seem to happen while Scorpio is rising. Don't know why that is. Scorpio is an assertive sign, secretive, controlling. It's ruler, Pluto is Retrograde in Sagittarius. The feeling I'm getting from looking at these charts is that people are trying to take one last stab at the Sagittarius Optimism before Pluto moves forward into Capricorn. Scorpio Rising would also have an natural affinity with the Sun-Saturn conjunction in Virgo so there is a low key flow of energy that can be created from these events. At this time of day the Sun-Saturn conjunction is also placed in the 11th House which is a good catalyst for making things happen.

The Chrome Launch chart has no planets in the 1st House and its bowl shaped chart also indicates that people don't know what to expect from this product, perhaps something is missing.

There's a lot of Neptunian energy in this chart. Neptune rules lack of boundaries. First there's an inner planet stellium in Libra hanging out over the 11th-12th house cusp. (Venus 4 Libra, Mercury 7 Libra, Mars 10 Libra, Moon 17 Libra). Venus-Mercury-Mars are up in the 11th House squaring the 3d House Jupiter. I'd imagine that would be a good set-up for the social and artistic aspects of using the web.

Moon in the 12th House might again show something low key or slow to launch, perhaps unreliable or not trust worthy. The trine to Neptune might enhance this. Would have been nice if the meeting had started an hour earlier with Moon (public) in the 1st house. People might trust it or at least go crazy over it. There are concerns that Google is keeping track of everything that is done on its Browser. With ruler Pluto in the 2d House the main motive is to make money.

Mark Zuckerberg - Mars Synodic Cycles

Forbes Magazine recently named Mark Zuckerberg as the World's Youngest Billionaire. Zuckerberg is going to celebrate his 24th Birthday next month. Happy Jupiter Return year you little mutt. Zuckerberg is the creator & CEO of the online social website Facebook which he created from his dorm room while attending undergrad classes at Harvard. Can U Imagine?

Looking at his chart, I found a great example of someone born at the beginning of a Mars Synodic Year. (I discussed Synodic Years on a previous entry called something like "Baby's first Synodic Years.") I'm interested in finding out if these "Years" present themselves as Cycles in person's life. Synodic Years are created from the Sun's opposition to a planet that is in the middle of a Retrograde period. Humans on earth never experience Sun opposite Mercury and Venus because those planets never oppose the Sun, but all the other planets outside the Earth's orbit do.

The Mars Year cycle seems like it would create a person who is highly energetic, aggressive, youthful, creative, perhaps having problems with authority through the planet, signs, and houses involved. It makes sense that a person who rushes into his life, makes his first Billion during his first Uranus square would have gained some extra boost from Mars in his chart.

Mark Zuckerberg
b. May 14, 1984, Boca Raton, FL

Sun 25 Taurus; Moon in Scorpio; NN 7 Gemini

Zuckerberg's chart shape is one of those fascinating See-Saw/Butterfly shapes. There's a bundle of mostly personal planets here in Aries through Gemini opposing a bundle of mostly outer planets in Scorpio through Capricorn (all Rx too). I've read somewhere that this chart shape is sort of a balancing act type of aspect between the two sides. The individual is continually playing a tight rope dance with life and with others. In this chart, even the Nodes are connected in with this chart pattern.

Included in this opposition is a Full/or near Full Moon in the financial signs of Taurus (Sun) and Scorpio (Moon). One can see that he's got a natural affinity with the green stuff. Zuckerberg's Sun is opposite this Retrograde Mars which is conjunct Saturn in Scorpio. The Moon is definitely in Scorpio but I don't know how closely placed it is to this conjunction without a birth time.

What got my attention is, as I said before, is the fact that Zuckerberg has a Mars Retrograde that opposes his Sun. Sun and Mars are highly energetic & forceful when working together, relating through an opposition means that the energy is used through relationships, sort of seems good for a sparring match.

The Mars-Saturn Rx in Scorpio conjunction (Saturn doesn't oppose n.Sun), possibly conjunct the Moon brings in some strong influences from the parents as Saturn rules the Father and Moon the Mother. Zuckerberg's parents are both professionals, I believe his Father is a lawyer and his mother is a psychiatrist. These planets in the sign of Scorpio indicate that they are driven, hard working, and very psychologically penetrating, exacting people. Zuckerberg learned from them well. He also may suffer emotionally from not understanding when to apply force and when to use the brakes. (Certainly hope he doesn't drive a stick-shift.) It's extremely interesting that Zuckerman is basically a glorified Hacker who has learned how to balance (opposite, Butterfly chart) his extreme behavior into a successful, constructive form with the outside world (not without problems, mind you). Harvard actually suspended his Internet privileges when he hacked into the school records in order to create a student website. He's in similar legal straights now for another breach of privacy through the Facebook sight. In December I guess he gave a public apology. Pluto was conjunct his natal Neptune at 1 Capricorn and opposing transiting Mars Rx. Nasty transit on the Aries point which brings things into public arena.

His Nodal Axis is in Gemini/Sagittarius and presents a completely different life pattern. One can see these two converge in his early life. His progressed Sun and Venus pass over his North Node in Gemini. Meanwhile, his Nodal Axis passes backward over his natal Sun and Venus. This might be significant because they were both hitting each other as he created Facebook at Age 19 (time of Nodal Return). He literally could create the Resources (Taurus) for a school social network (Gemini).

One of the problems presented in his life though is that Zuckerberg doesn't seemed to have learned how to respect the privacy rights of others (planets in Scorpio) and sort of assumes that others want to have a huge open social network where everyone can get to know each other. He understands the Gemini Side of the World and is in denial of the Taurus/Scorpio side. This is also indicated by the Sun-Mars opposition as you will see when you read Bob Marks' description down below).

Magically, many people really do want such a network, and hence Zuckerberg's fabulous sudden wealth. His Facebook software took off like lightening on College campuses (Sagittarius South Node conjunct Uranus in Sagittarius) and spread to the older population after that. Asking permission just isn't his way of doing things, slows things down, not a Mars keyword.

Okay, so to look at the Synodic Mars Year to see if it influences. These happen on average every 2 years plus 1-2.5 months (779.7 days). Recently they've been occurring on odd number years. From eyeballing the dates it looks like Mars goes retrograde for about a month, opposes the Sun and then continues the Retrograde for another month, then begins to move forward. It's not completely finished its the damage until it returns to the spot where it began its retrograde which seems to take another couple of months.

This Sun-Mars Rx was involved in a Grand Square aspect to the Saturn-Neptune opposition that was happening at the time. This squares Zuckerberg's Venus-Saturn opposition from Taurus to Scorpio. But Saturn was helped at the same time because it was involved in a Grand Trine with the NN and Mercury.

My analysis of the Mars Synodic Cycle isn't very good because I don't have enough dates to really compare against Zuckerberg's life. It sort of looks like he created Facebook close to a Mars opposition. He found investors during a trine to the Sun-Mars opposition. So perhaps it's a strong cycle to watch, perhaps not. I'd like to compare the oppositions to when Zuckerberg gets in trouble with authority, which is a strong marker of Sun-Mars oppositions. From Bob Marks' description from www.bobmarksastrologer.com:

Mars Aspecting the Sun: Whatever squares or opposes the Sun frequently shows traits that we reject, that we don’t even want to believe we have. But we do have them. Mars is anger and energy. I don't have the Date that Zuckerberg hacked into the Student Records at Harvard in order to create his first Student Directory. I think they said it was in his Sophomore year.

He created Facebook from his Dorm Room at Harvard on Feb. 4, 2004. He was 19 and just past his first Nodal Return (7 Gemini). The Nodes then passed over his natal Chiron, Sun and Venus in Taurus. Facebook's "birth date" had a Leo Full Moon from 16 Aquarius-Leo. This squares his Sun-Mars opposition plus the transiting Nodes. Leo and Aquarius are rulers of Entrepreneurship and are very social so this is appropriate. As for Mars aspects, transiting Mars was at 2 Taurus so was almost opposing natal Mars but not quite. His Sun-Mars Synodic Cycle was almost halfway through. T.Mars was conjunct his natal Mercury at 30 Aries and opposing Pluto at 1 Scorpio. (The Mercury in Aries opposite Pluto in Scorpio shows how sharp and shrewd his mind really is).

Zuckerberg moved across Country to Palo Alto, CA in the Summer of 2004 with his roommate and some friends. They meant to stay only the Summer, but found an investor to back the company and stayed in Palo Alto. One would expect a Sun-Mars person to drop out of college. It's interesting that Zuckerberg's prog. Sun and Venus were in the social, networking sign of Gemini opposing his natal Uranus of computers, high tech. Venus = Money and Uranus = suddenness so I suppose this is a good aspect for asking for investor money. I took lousy notes but do remember reading somewhere that Zuckerberg was offered millions of dollars by his investors and while driving to meet friends to celebrate some guy pulled a gun on him at a Gas Station. Would be interesting to check that date for sure for Mars-Pluto influences.

Mars passed through Cancer, Leo and Virgo that Summer (2004) and ended mid-September with a nice conjunction of Sun-Mars-Jupiter-Mercury in Virgo which would have trined Zuckerberg's Taurus-Scorpio opposition.

Facebook ran into problems (always having to do with privacy issues and copyright laws) after it launched its Newsfeed on Sept. 5, 2006. This program was criticized for giving personal information over to cyberstalkers. The Saturn-Neptune opposition was in a t-square to Jupiter in Scorpio at the time which was right on top of Zuckerberg's natal Saturn-Moon-Mars in Scorpio stellium.

During the launch, Zuckerberg's first Uranus square was exact to the degree from Sagittarius (n.) to Pisces(t.). His progressed Sun and Venus were still within aspect to this square, so he could expect sudden and unpredictable events both good and bad. Mars was in an interesting aspect. It was at the end of Virgo conjunct the South Node and trining/sextiling Zuckerberg's natal Sun/Mars. It seems to have presented a test for his natural aggressiveness tendencies. You just want to go ahead and do whatever you want to do during a trine.

You can really see the Mars-Saturn conjunction in Scorpio pulling on each other in this chart. Zuckerberg seems to always get caught. The oppositions from the Sun just really put the spotlight on him and the Mars energy wants to keep jumping the fences. He's certainly learning about privacy issues through it seems all the Fixed Sign energies. He keeps insisting that openness and sharing are the way that society must exist on a larger scale. Hopefully he will figure out a way to make that happen without the evil element. He's so young, he probably hasn't weened off the Tolkien Trilogy yet.

Moore's Law

This is a potentially interesting tidbit about Venus and its Retrograde Cycle. Venus goes Retrograde about every 18 months so this is considered a Cycle in Venus Land. Meanwhile, I've picked up a book at the Library called What We Believe But Cannot Prove: Today's Leading Thinkers on Science in the Age of Certainty edited by John Brockman. Since Astrology will never be proved and probably no one listed in this book believes in Astrology I wanted to see how preposterous their own thinking can get.

That's not very Venusian per se, but, under the listing for Charles Simonyi, a Computer Scientist for Xerox Corp Back In The Day, a strange cycle called Moore's Law is mentioned. It's not really a cycle, it's just something that seems to have happened in Computerland with the Semiconductors that says the world's computer capacity doubles every 18 months. A guy named George Moore mentioned it back in 1965 and it turns out he was right. Simonyi goes on to explain that computer software isn't written for this expansion pattern of computer hardware. He goes on to explain what he means and I'm about 1,000 IQ points short of ever being able to understand what he's talking about.

On the other hand, the 18-month Venus "Cycle" isn't really a cycle, it's just when Venus goes Retrograde, every 584 days. The actual Cycle occurs every 8 years, every 5th Retrograde when Venus returns to close to its original spot. And it involves a conjunction with the Sun.

Turns out Moore's Law goes back to it's creator who was also one of the founders of Intel. As mentioned already his name was George Moore. He published an article describing this phenomenal prediction on April 19, 1965 in a magazine (Electronics magazine I think?). Moore originally stated that computer capacity would double every two years, not every 18 months. He says so in the Wikipedia article. But the computer guys have done the math and have found this is an 18 month repeat thing. I wanted to take a look at his chart to see what's going on with his Venus. Turns out his Mars in Gemini is out-of-bounds and 2 years sounds more like a Mars Return thing. But his Venus transits and progressions seem to have been guiding him.

Moore has Uranus in Aries, unaspected. Uranus is Intuitive, good at predictions, and I swear to God the ruler of Cycles. It's also generally included in all things Computerlandish. Bill Meridien says in one of his online articles that Uranus stations predict the prices of Semiconductor stocks. (That article was from 2000.) So, it's interesting that Moore has a prominent Uranus.

(Just an aside, Moore also has Sun in Capricorn opposite Pluto just like the Federal Reserve Board, later degrees though, so maybe we should ask him where's he's got his $3 B invested).

So, Uranus has some say in the semiconductor world and it looks from the following transits/progressions in Moore's chart that Venus does too. During 1965, Moore's progressed Venus was 3 degrees past exact conjunction with his Uranus. Also, on the date of publication of this article, there was a t.Sun-Venus conjunction right on his natal Jupiter at 1 Taurus (ruled by Venus). Also, t.Jupiter was conjunct his North Node at the other end of Taurus (ruled by Venus). And he was about to have a Nodal Return of his Taurus North Node. The Uranus-Pluto in Virgo to Saturn in Pisces opposition was in effect but doesn't appear to have been affecting Moore's planets but it sure would be interesting to see how it was placed in his houses.

According to Ray Merriman Gold has some kind of an 18.5 month cycle and Crude Oil has an 18 month cycle. Venus traditionally rules Copper. Copper's heavily used in SemiConductors isn't it? If it is there's your Venus rulership of Semi-conductors.

The Shuttle's Bad Joints

The NASA Shuttle Mission has been encountering some problems with installation of its new solar panels. Astrologers will say this is a Mercury Retrograde thing and at this point I agree. This Discovery Shuttle (STS-120) was launched during Mercury Retrograde and has discovered a problem with the joint that will keep the Solar Panels facing the Sun. This Joint was installed right after Mercury went Retrograde last time. Joints, according to Rex Bills, is ruled by Saturn and although Bills is talking about joints in humans I don't see why this can't be applied to Space Stations.

From the Wikipedia article I think I've discovered that the original joint was installed on the Space Station on June 17, 2007. This is a day after Mercury went Retrograde when it was at 12 Cancer. Mercury is not only Retrograde here but unaspected in the chart for this Space Walk (listed on Wikipedia as starting at 16:25 UTC). This was the flight (STS-117) where the computers all started to conk out right before Mercury went Retrograde and the Return was delayed due to weather. Saturn was also at its last pass through the opposition to Neptune and they were both at 22 degrees Leo and Aquarius respectively. The opposition was conjunct the MC/IC with Saturn at the top of the chart. And also, there's this damn Grand Trine between Saturn, Pluto in Sagittarius-Mars in Aries that keeps coming up in my blogs lately.

These dates are roughly coordinating with the "Protective Pit Bull" blog. completely different situations but similar story about how there's more news. This might be due to Mercury Retrograde or due to the fact that t. Mars hit the spot where the Mercury retrograde was. In the Pit Bull story, a woman was attacked by a man on the door step of her home. Her Pit Bull attacked the man in turn and the man ran off. The only evidence was the DNA from the blood on the Pit Bull's face which actually located the man who arrested last week.

In this case, NASA sent its Shuttle up on June 8 and let Mercury go Rx in the middle of the trip. Everything wrong, the flight full of problems. Now, on this trip, they are finding out what went wrong during that trip and I guess now there are new problems. Mercury is once again Retrograde. It was at 25 Libra during the Space Walk when they found the problem

During a space walk on Oct. 28 (begin time 9:32 UTC), one of the Astronauts found that the Joint is scraping off metal shavings which will limit its ability to rotate. Saturn is at 7 Virgo c. the South Node at 6 Virgo. Saturn rules Construction. Once I worked with a guy who did a funny skit on how he didn't even think of trying to repair simple problems at his home because they always ended up in all day calamities where parts don't fit right and one thing just leads to another and soon your entire week-end is wrecked. If the North Node were in Virgo instead of in Pisces things might be different.

Also on the shuttle, Mars was at 11 Cancer conjunct within a Degree the spot where Mercury was during installation. This was what happened in that Pit Bull Story. The woman's assailant was caught when Mars hit the Mercury spot of the attack.

Also, The Moon was close to the spot in Gemini where the Sun was during installation (Sun 18 Gemini / Moon 9 Gemini) and squaring both Saturn and Uranus.

At any rate, I just read that the Solar Panels are now ripped. Time to take another trip to the Home Depot to get them replaced.

How to Fix a Bridge

Here's a very promising story about Saturn moving into Virgo: http://origin.mercurynews.com/ci_6791510. The Bay Bridge which spans from San Francisco, CA over to Oakland, CA was closed down for the Labor Day week-end in order to replace an entire section. The work was expected to be finished by 6am tomorrow (Tuesday) but was finished 11 hours ahead of time. The hydraulic equipment used to move the new span in place worked better than expected. And, obviously, the Contractor, C.C. Myers did an exceptional job planning (Saturn) the work (Virgo). Saturn moved into Virgo in the California Bay Area between 6 and 7 am on Sept. 2 (Sunday Morning). At the same time it was rising over the Ascendant. That seems like an exceptional coincidence to me as I'd expect Saturn in Virgo to be great for anything having to do with Precision Repair and Construction. This could be a great transit as the Infrastructure in the U.S. is crumbling and we could use a couple of good years to repair it.

As I was listening to the newscaster announce this marvel of engineering I wondered if the Moon was ever Void of Course this week-end (well, of course it was). On Friday night when traffic on the Bridge was shut down, (8:07 pm Aug. 31, 2007) the Moon was at the end of the 1st house at 29 Aries in a Grand Trine with Pluto-MC in Sagittarius and Saturn at 30 Leo. It passed into Taurus right after that -- no Void of Course Moon to slow things down! The demolition was slower than expected but the building part went much faster than expected. The Moon was never Void of Course as it moved into Gemini between 12am and 1am on Sept. 2. It was always squaring Saturn. What a good indicator for ambition to get a project done!

This is also an exceptional example of how a Grand Square can work wonders rather than wreak havoc as I sometimes see it. The Nodes, Uranus, Sun, Jupiter, Mars were all working together in a Grand Square. When the Bridge reopened at 5:49 pm tonight (Sept. 3, 2007) the Moon was joining the Grand Square, conjunct Mars in Gemini.

C.C. Myers, or the Contractor from that company (I'm not clear who's who at this point), said he couldn't have pulled it off without the use of computers. This is also a great chart for Technology. Uranus, Mars, Virgo and Gemini working together. Uranus was Rising just as the Bridge was shut down. Aquarius was Rising as the Bridge re-opened.

None of Your Business, Scum Bag Internet Spyware Companies

My Computer is about to crash again. I can feel it. It's slowing down, lights are blinking in weird ways, it heats up all of a sudden. Spyware.

I recently added a 3d spyware program and found that all kinds of companies have been tracking me that weren't found by the two programs that I've already loaded. I decided to look up some of these companies along with others on the Internet to see if they reveal who THEY are. Results: Interesting, veddy veddy interesting. Finding company founding dates would require more research than I'm into doing right now. Many companies went public and then went private. That's suspicious right there. I can't imagine trying to run one of these companies while under Government scrutiny. It's amusing just from a sociological point of view to watch the funky intercultural segregation of the employees between the different companies. I bet each funky intercultural segregated company spies on members of society who belong to other funky intercultural segregated companies, kind of like an underground Cultural War between Marketing campaigns.

One of the companies, in an effort to plug their services to future clients talked about Internet users as "The Audience." Is an Internet user an Audience? Really? I don't think of myself that way. Dear Scum Bag Marketing Ad Executive Vulture type Freak, I would rather be called a "Participant" or "Person" or "Visitor" or, in realistic terms "Victim of your Lack of Ethics to snoop into my Personal Behaviors which are None of your Business."

First off, I found a Company called Revenue Sciences which claims to follow your behavior online while respecting your privacy all the while. What a load of Pieces of Poopies that is. They say they don't collect personal ID information, don't install software or track keystrokes. They even offer to let you sign up to "opt out" of being targeted by them by creating a "Network Advertising Initiative": http://www.networkadvertising.org/. Who are they? God? Good Willed Humans are off in Bangladesh feeding the poor, after all. Do they put laugh meters on these things? Revenue Services does list who works at their company which is often not the case. Since they don't leave cookies, or at least have found a way of spying on me without leaving cookies, but use some other souped up/satellite technology, I haven't found their little trails on my computer.

One total Scumbag Company is Casale Media. They leave all kinds of cookies and spyware on my computer that I have to scan every day. Yesterday they even left a pop-up that sort of jeered at me as if to say "You can't escape us, we made it past your pop-up blocker." On this company's website they don't list any company information. No company executives or employees, certainly no clients, nothing. They do say that figuring out how to spy on people is a really fun game for them. And one of their addresses in Los Angeles, 6320 Canoga Ave, Woodland Hills, is right around the corner from the office of someone who has been haunting one of the astrology forums that I've been visiting. This one member of the forum always manages to make up weird facts about astrology that don't make sense. She even managed to take over as webmaster. Curious, isn't it? Anyway, we don't have "Birth Information" for this company. But they will read this. Of that I'm certain. Obviously started up on one of the days that Pluto was conjunct the Galactic Center.

Another interesting company is Advertising.com. They have an honest to God history. Built by 2 brothers in August, 1998. That's so American and it makes the Company either a Leo or Virgo. Marketing if by Leo; Statistics if by Virgo. They are honest to God marketers, pushy ad-execs. They were bought out by AOL in 2004. Their website lists Officers so they must be legitimate, right? Thing is, their website advertises Casinos. Skuzzy huh? Gambling, must be a Leo. I only like Leos when I can see their big fluffy manes of hair on an eye-to-eye basis.

Double Click is a real honest to God Company, founded late 1995. I wonder if they were the first. They list their clients: Microsoft, GM, Coca-Cola. They are The Old Established Firms Scum Bag Marketers. They are in the process of being bought out by Google (Apr. 14, 2007) for Billions of dollars in Cold Hard Cash but other large companies are trying to stop this. There's a story behind all that, I can smell it.

I tried to research a Company called aQuantive, but my Spyware program stopped the search. This is the only one that it did stop so they must be absolutely horrid. And now they know absolutely everything about me. Well, they already did. Hey aQuantive, Did you like that StudMuffin site as much as I did?

Zedo is a San Francisco company. I lived in San Francisco for a long time and am always fascinated to watch how scuzzy companies there do everything they can to appear Politically C. These guys list their bleach toothed executives on their site, innocent as little baby bottoms. They even have a little window dedicated to telling the viewer that they have an Anti-Spyware commitment. How can you be a SpyWare Company that doesn't use SpyWare? The Marvels of Modern Technology or a Big Fat Lie? Or taking advantage of all the grey areas inbetween?

The Statistics counting companies are fascinating. Hitslink and Statcounter. They says they are counting your visitor's stats but they are really installing their software on your computer. After all, if you've got enough money and or time to sit around making up a website then your computer must be worth invading. Hide all those photos of the time that you got really drunk with your friends and ..... Hitslink will make money off of them once your income reaches 1M$/yr. Statcounter brags that it's Invisible which totally sends shivers down my spine.

MatchCraft is a Santa Monica Company founded in 2005. They list their employees. I tend to think they have more employees than clients because their graphics are so plain. Why don't any of these companies hire a real Graphic Artist to design their sites? These guys are in Santa Monica, CA. Call them up, they look like they might offer you nice services.

Zonbu

What's small, silent, green and cheap? HaHa, bet you'll never guess the answer. It's a new computer called a Zonbu that will be launched sometime in September by a Tech Start Up Company in Menlo Park, California. The computer runs on 20X less electricity and that's supposed to cost $10.00 less a month to run than the average computer. It comes loaded with Open Source software which is managed online so that you don't have to pay for or manage or waste any more of your time in computerland hell. No back ups, no scans, no viruses, no reinstalls, but no privacy for your documents, but maybe you don't care... The cost is only $99.00 plus up front subscription fees that range according to how much storage you want. This must be paid 2 years in advance.

This sounds great. The company hasn't committed to a launch date though. Sigh, how astrologically incorrect. Hope they don't make any iPhone mistakes with the chart. Virgo is a nice sign for a computer but there are some tricks to avoid. There's a Total Lunar Return on Aug. 28, 2007 and a Partial Solar Return on Sept. 11, 2007. Wonder if they will choose a Libra Sun though. All month long there will be an opposition from Mars to Pluto and from Venus to Neptune and Sept. 24 and Sept. 30 take advantage of these possible afflictions and turns one or the other of them into Kites (depends on time of day too). Virgo Sun says "Back To School" to me, while Libra Sun says "Second Computer" which is the market the CEO's say they are striving for. Will be interesting to see which date is chosen.

Other attempts to make an eco-friendly computer have failed. According to an article in the San Jose Mercury News a big first attempt was made in the mid-90s by Larry Ellison of Oracle called Network Computer.

Philippe Kahn

Philippe Kahn is the guy who invented your Camera Phone. In 1997 he attached his cell phone to something in order to hook it up to something else and a camera, e voila, click click, gun shots at Virginia Tech.

I wondered if Neptune figures prominently in his chart as Neptune rules photography.

In 1997 Neptune was passing back and forth over the cusp from Capricorn to Aquarius, the sign of Invention. Jupiter and Uranus were already there.

He's got a Cardinal Grand Square in his chart. It seems he's had his share of controversial business maneuvers as a Techie in the Silicon Valley. But, Saturn-Mercury-Jupiter-Chiron and Uranus all in aspect to each other promise outstanding mental abilities. Maybe a bit difficult at times, but, oh well.

On yesterday's Full Moon, there was a groundbreaking ceremony for a $50 Million replica of the Alhambra in Morgan Hill, CA. It will house "The Institute of Mathematics" a 7-year old "School" that gathers the world's greatest mathematicians to solve the world's toughest mathematics problems. The founder of the Institute, John Fry (founder of Fry's Electronics) conceived and is paying for the building. His college buddy, Steve Sorenson, is in charge of managing the construction. An architect from Santa Fe, NM, Jay Bonner, is designing the building.

What better aspect for building a "Castle" than Leo Rising with Sun is in the 10th house? Saturn is conjunct the ASC and is trining Jupiter in the 4th house of "Place and Home". Jupiter rules higher education. Saturn also trines Pluto in Sagittarius in the 5th house: serious ambitions for pursuing deep thought and higher learning.

The Full Moon in Sagittarius is conjunct and disposits to Jupiter opposing Sun in Gemini. This is perfect for an educational, intellectual pursuit. The Institute was conceived by Fry and Sorenson when they were in college (Jupiter) together. John Fry went on to make his money through the Fry's Electronics chain. Moon conjunct Jupiter in its own sign promises Luck. A place (Moon and H4) of Higher Thought (Jupiter) of International (Jupiter) Fame (Scorpio IC). Moon is also conservative, the design will be an imitation of a building from the past. All the Fry's stores are decorated with historical themes as well.

The ceremony (Leo ASC c. Saturn) went from 11:30 am to 1 pm. At this point there was a Grand Fire Trine of Jupiter in Sagittarius-Saturn in Leo-Mars in Aries that extended out to a Kite through Saturn's opposition to Chiron in Aquarius. Saturn is also opposite Neptune and this opposition is closely conjunct the ASC-DESC line. A strong focus on gathering people to work in partnerships.

Scorpio rules the IC, indicator of a need for privacy, great for a retreat to discover deep secrets of the universe and also beneficial for fame and power. John Fry didn't attend the ceremony as he dislikes publicity. How Scorpio!

Pluto opposed by Mercury from H5 to H11, respectively. Another indicator of "deep thinking," especially through communication with others (Opposition).

As the purpose of building this building is to encourage great Mathematicians to gather and share knowledge and to work in teams I figured Uranus/Aquarius should be looked at. Gemini rules the 11th house and Mercury (communication) is placed there. The Nodal axis spans H1 and 7 indicating strong drive to work with others. The mutual reception of Uranus and Neptune is aspected in H7. These are the outer most planets, representing the most advanced intuitive (Uranus) and spiritual (Neptune) thinking that Man is capable of. Uranus is squaring Jupiter.

The focus of creating beautiful grounds like the Alhambra as inspiration: Venus in Cancer on H12 cusp trining Uranus in Pisces on H8 cusp.

Blogger's 7 year Itch

Blogger just listed all the dates involved in transferring from Old Blogger to Google's New Blogger. How kind. 7 years! Wow, that's the Itch. The 7 year itch. That's the Progressed Moon square, that's the transiting Saturn square, it's also known for the amount of years that it takes for Uranus to change signs. Well, Uranus is known for it's itch. Moon and Saturn are known for marking off major life changes. If the following were significant milestone years in your life then you know you're heavily affected by Progressed Moon and transiting Saturn aspects: 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 63, 70, 77, 84, 91, and so on for however long you live. Makes sense that it would coincide with a big corporate merger/and/or buyout.

Had to take a look. I've copied the significant dates of the transition down below. The Mercury Retrogrades coincide with some sort of malfunction end of October when Mercury went Retro, Thank God. Just imagine how Astrology would be considered a pseudo science if that hadn't happened. There was some kind of design flaw right off the bat that needed to be fixed, but with the Saturn-Neptune opposition hammering down on the chart the way it was they're lucky it wasn't worse. Saturn has been in Leo transiting over the Leo Stellium of the natal chart. It stationed retrograde on the Natal Venus on Dec. 6 and passed almost back to station direct at 19 Leo, almost making it back for a second conjunction to natal Mercury. Jupiter is now in Sagittarius along with Pluto and their conjunction later this year might bring a big change to publishing, maybe Blogger will be connected with this.

Unfortunately, the first post from Blogger's Birth date doesn't have a time. I'm assuming the place is San Francisco, that seems to be where Pete and his friends live with their girlfriends and cats. Wonder if they're gonna stick around now though.

The stars look great for the original chart. Sun is conjunct a late Venus in Leo. Virgo rules writing and technological writing, but Venus in Leo adds the creative element. Mercury is conjunct North Node in Leo and Uranus is conjunct the South Node in Aquarius. That's about as appropriate for an Internet Communication anything, let alone Journaling program. Uranus-Node is a very precocious little beast, isn't it? To reinforce this theme, Mercury-Uranus and the Nodes are also Parallel. And Sun is parallel Jupiter for Luck. Neptune in Aquarius, Uranus in Aquarius, and Pluto in Sagittarius indicate success in anything worldly, other worldly, and international. It shows the rapid spread of the Internet in these past few years across the globe. Everyone is linked. I don't know if people read anymore but we sure do share. Blogger is a great example of one of the most successful enterprises. Yet another example of this amazing phenomenon.

The Saturn-Neptune opposition has been on the Nodes-Mercury-Uranus opposition during the entire transition. This must have made it seem like a colossal hassle, but also contributed a lot of improvements to the original interface, much better for multi-media.

Natal Mars-Chiron in Scorpio were first hit by the Mercury Retrograde Oct. 29 to Dec. 26 through conjunction but Jupiter was there too. The next Mercury Retrograde squared Mars from Aquarius. Actually Mercury went Retrograde Feb. at 11 Pisces and then stationed on the square point on Mar. 8. It returned to 11 Pisces by March 29, 2007.

I use Wikipedia every day so it's really difficult to believe that it has been around for only 6 years next month. It is a Free Encyclopedia available to anyone on the Internet which can be edited by anyone on the Internet. A truly revolutionary advance in civilization that brings huge stores of knowledge to anyone with access to a computer.

Wikipedia started as an afterthought of Nupedia, an Encyclopedia that was edited only by experts in its field. Nupedia was eventually merged into Wikipedia as it became too cumbersome and time consuming to manage.

The Founder of Wikipedia is Jimmy Wales who, along with his Editor Larry Sanger, started the company with funding provided by Wales' company Bomis. I'm not sure what Bomis does, some kind of nebulous website thing that seems maybe to make part of its money off of porn (tee hee).

The similarities between Wales and Sanger's charts is striking.

Both men were born (maybe) with Moon in Aries and Mars in Cancer. This is a mutual reception between Moon and Mars. (Bill Gates also has Moon in Aries.) I suppose that the Moon-Mars combination is great for an entrepreneur of Start-Up companies. Could also explain the almost immediate clash of egos that Wales and Sanger appear to have gotten into with each other. Their Wikipedia autobiographies sound almost like Divorce Documents. They seem like very creative, emotionally volatile men.

Both men were born with the Pluto-Uranus conjunction in Virgo of the mid-60s. This is the same conjunction that happened when Gutenberg began to print his Bible thanks to the invention of moveable type (Sept. 30, 1452, Mainz, Germany) and is associated with revolutionary, world changing ideas, especially in technology. Suddenly many people could read the Bible, not just the Royalty.

Both men have their Pluto-Uranus conjunctions at apex of a small triangle shape to planets sextiling from either side. Sextiles will show special talents, with the Uranus-Pluto conjunction at the midpoint of the trine, its powers can manifest.

Also interesting that both men lack planets in Air Signs. Air is the element symbolizing Intellectual Ability. Lack of an element could show either a thirst for or lack of the skills associated with it. How interesting that they worked together to form a huge Encyclopedia, the basis of information and knowledge and all things intellectual.

Jimmy Wales' Uranus-Pluto conjunction is exact at 18 Virgo sextiling Neptune at 20 Scorpio and Mars-Jupiter-Venus in Cancer. It is also opposite his Pluto-Uranus conjunction. When Nupedia was started in March, 2000 his Progressed Sun and Mercury were exactly conjunct his natal Pluto-Uranus conjunction; t. Uranus was at 20 Aquarius opposing his natal Leo Sun; t. NN was conjunct natal Mercury 1 Leo; t. Pluto and Saturn were inconjunct and both in aspect to his natal Sun, Pluto with a Trine and Saturn with a Square. This is a mouthful of transits. It's interesting that Wales' Mercury (communications) is conjunct where Uranus-Pluto was when the Gutenberg Bible was created.

When Wikipedia was started, on January 15, 2001, the transiting North Node had passed over Wales' entire stellium of Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, & Mars in Cancer. The Saturn-Jupiter conjunction of May, 2000 had happened right on his North Node in Taurus.

Larry Sanger's chart shows a more problematic set of aspects. There seems to be a bit of a disagreement between the two men as to how much credit he should be given. He left Wales' company in 2002 and claims that the initial idea for Wikipedia was his. Wales claims that since he was an employee, he can't take as much credit. Sanger's chart has a Yod with Saturn at the apex inconjunct Neptune and Uranus on either leg. This is the Finger of God that forces a person to always compromise, adjust to circumstances that never really resolve. The person has to always seek for solutions where others may be handed the answers on a silver platter. Sanger teaches philosophy. It's a good outlet for him. Also Sun-Venus square Saturn. He has Chiron, North Node, Moon and Saturn in Aries. He will fight for what is rightfully his.

January 15 is supposedly known among techies as Wikipedia Day. Wikipedia was "born" on January 15, 2001. A Capricorn that survived the Saturn-Pluto opposition in its first year. Who knew? This is why I can't do predictions. I'm not sure of the "birth town." Bomis is in St. Petersburg, FL but the server is in San Diego, CA.

Wikipedia's first article was entered on January 16, 2001 21:08 UTC, created by Eiffel.demon.com.uk. If I've got the time set correctly this chart is perfect. Virgo Rising and Gemini MC, both ruled by Mercury the planet of thoughts and communications. Scorpio the sign of Research is on the 3d house cusp of communications. It's ruler Pluto is conjunct the IC at the exact bottom of the chart which shows the depth and power of its influence. Neptune-Mercury-Uranus are all in Aquarius, the sign of technology and revolution and squaring Mars in Scorpio in the 3d house of research/communications. Saturn and Jupiter are in conjunction in the 9th house of higher knowledge, education, international affairs. Sun is in Capricorn in the 5th house. That's simply a dynamic combination, blends serious concerns with an element of fun and pizazz.
